Having eaten here for years I want to give this a higher rating but the place has changed owners/chefs and the food has dipped a little in quality. They do have a great value in their lunch specials though since they come with soup, rice, and an egg roll. Good prices for the UCF area. Gen. Tzo has always been a good option as well as the lo mien. Reviews are somewhat correct saying the food has become bland but I still think it is a good option for quick Chinese if you have a craving.

I have been coming here for years. The place is nice and quiet. I love the food and it's not greasy or cheap Chinese food. I wish the kids menu had better choices. I love the pepper steak, broccoli and steak. They also have other dishes which are very good. I haven't ever ordered something I never liked. I was shocked that some people found the food not favorful or greasy because I have a very sensitive stomach and this has never been the case for me.

Gave the Two stars for the staff (very friendly) The food on the other hand well... That has a lot of problems. We got three different dishes and also got three different appetizers two of which were the soup (wonton and egg drop) All of the food we had lacked flavor, it was very very bland and somewhat greasy my husband and myself both got an upset stomach after words (BGs). The kids had the sweet and sour chicken (safe choice I thought for kids) which they said was eh OK.. Normally they eat it up, but no seconds and no one wanted me to save it. Needless to say, we will NOT be going back. My recommendation would be for the restaurant to hire a new cook/new cooks ASAP. Sorry I was really hopeful that it would be good.. Ugh

The only place close to work. Service is good but the food is nothing to be desired. I come here every time I am craving for somewhat Asian food. :) ambiance is a little depressing but I am not here for that so I guess that is fine.

They use a sauce base that is incredibly oily, it lead to major stomach hurting for myself and my boyfriend. I ordered the garlic eggplant dish and he got General Tso's. We usually are up for anything, but neither one of us wanted to finish our food. It was overpriced, but UCF students get 20% off. All in all...I would never return.

Love this place. Decent food, nice staff, UCF discount for students and large portions.

Unfortunately, I was displeased with both the service and the food today. The hostess had an attitude and rolled her eyes when I asked her a question about my order. The rice was too hard, the shrimp was too soft, there was too much sauce in all dishes, and the sauce on the general tso chicken wasn't even thick, the way it's supposed to be. I'm not even sure if they even breaded it - also, the way its supposed to be. In addition to nothing being cooked correctly, everything was also quite bland. I will not be coming back.

I ordered steamed dumplings and vegetable Lo Mein. Being of oriental descent, I have very very high standards for Chinese food. The steamed dumplings were not that good. The skin was too thick which made it not cooked all the way. The Lo Mein is fairly good. The flavor is just right which makes it delicious and good to eat.

Dragon Court offers that traditional chinese fair in a slightly more upscale manner. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza at the Alafaya and McCulluch intersection, and provides a nice environment with some pleasant asian decor. The Thai Chicken is my favorite dish, and a friend of mine always goes with the Four Seasons. Dragon Court also offers the traditional chinese fair such as General Tso's and Orange Chicken. The servers are always friendly and courteous and the food is usually consistent.

While looking for something to eat after an early movie I decided to visit Dragon Court since I haven't been in a while, and long behold it was replaced by Dragon City. What was going to be a routine dinning experienced turned out to be a new favorite place to eat. It's been slightly remodeled and has a nice spacious and clean feeling with the nice decor. I ordered the Hot n Sour soup, Dumplings, Fried Wontons and House Special Fried Rice. The fried rice was nice, and not greasy like some New York style take out restaurants. The Hot n Sour Soup is truly unique in flavor compared to others I have tried. I can see myself ordering just the soup alone for lunch in the biggest container they can grab. Also the Fried Wontons were a pleasant surprise along with the plating of the food. Everything was displayed with care down to the sliced oranges. The service was great and it was a great experience that I look forward to enjoying in the near future.

I should have known better. when you walk in and there are no asians in the place, including staff - DON'T EAT THERE STUPID! compared to any other city's Chinatown this place is good only for american chop suey - maybe.

Walking into Dragon Court, I expected this place to be exceptionally good based on their decor, what I've heard and how fantastic the food from the kitchen smelled. However, it wasn't as yummy as I had hoped. I ordered my usual, chicken chop suey and rice. While chop suey is meant to be soupy to a point, this was a bit much. The food was very bland and adding soy sauce did not help. It was edible, but not enjoyable. Their general Tso's chicken was also disappointing. It wasn't as crispy as it should be and drenched in sauce as well. The restaurant is not very big in size with the expected Asian decor. Service is average, nothing impressive. Prices are a bit much for a fast-food Chinese place. Based on appearance it seems like their above fast food, but when it comes down to it they're not. Overall, not a fan.

Because we don't give up, we went back for dinner. I will say the food was excellent. It truly tasted like it normally does as we remember it, and for that we are glad. My soup was loaded with lots of goodies and our main dish was full and flavorful. Thank You.

Great food, great prices. They have the best steak lo-mien ever. We also love their chicken fried rice, spring rolls and crab ragoon.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
