Best Chinese food in Oviedo. Food was extremely fresh and more health conscious than competitors in the area. Wonton soup was flavorful and not over-salted. General Tso Chicken was more chicken and broccoli than is the norm. $30 for family of four works as well

Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in this area. We ordered the Pork Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, and Beef Chow Fun Noodles. The only recommendation that I would make is cutting the chicken to smaller pieces in the Sesame Chicken. Otherwise, everything was delicious, and very flavorful! We will definitely be back.

Great place. Ordered the sesame and General Tso's chicken. It came beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The price wasn't bad either. Definitely recommend.

The food was disappointing after reading all these reviews. The service received was absolutely deplorable! The server walked away from me while I was asking a question, put his finger up, and ignored me three times. It was a very slow night and we were one of three tables, took 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order, took another 20 of waiving the rude server down to get a refill. All in all a very disappointing experience. Upgrade the food downgrade the attitude.

Food is pricey and not very flavorful. It also felt very heavy and greasy although the quantity was not much. Overall bland and mediocre food.

Was in Oviedo for the first time in my life this weekend. Not certain why Oviedo exists but we can have that discussion another day. Let me spell out a simple equation and see if this makes sense to the owners. NO ROAST PORK FRIED RICE = NO CUSTOMERS. I went for lunch on Saturday and was surprised we were the only people sitting in a large comfortable dining room. Then I started realizing why. The lunch specials were very reasonably priced between six and seven dollars and included an egg roll, wonton soup and EGG FRIED RICE. What the hell is EGG FRIED RICE? The entire country good Chinese food is 100% served with roast pork friend rice, that is until I got to Central Florida. Nobody wants anything but roast pork fried rice. If you are too cheap to serve it raise your price a dollar and serve roast pork fried rice. Do Pizzeria's expect to be open if they start serving pizza with no cheese? I told them I would pay for the pork and they refused to give it to me. The wanton soup came and guess what not a single piece of pork. Is this place run by Muslims? The General Tso's chicken was actually white meat chicken which is the only reason for the 3 stars other than the decent eggroll, however, it was dried out; really dried out. I ordered it spicy but couldn't taste any spice at all. In another cost cutting measure they had copious amounts of bell peppers and onions. These are not Chinese vegetables, they are cheap filler. Try some baby corn, mushrooms, water chestnuts and more broccoli. Wondering why your place is empty? Hopefully this shed some light on the mystery.

Food is good, takeout service is extremely slow. Was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes, when I arrived I waited for 15 minutes for someone to even ask if I needed help. It was another 15 minutes before I got my food.

Lunch time is definitely a great deal. Lots of options for around the same low price of $6.95

Nice people but food was just fair, if that. Dumpling dough was good, meat was not very good. Not a lot if flavor, a bit dry and a couple pieces of gristle. Sesame chicken combo...egg roll just ok. Fried rice was lousy. No veggies no egg just brown colored white rice. Sesame chicken not bad. Chunks of white meat chicken in a light coating. Kudos on the meat but the sauce was so sweet. The mustard packet was do old it was brownish and oily. And the fortune cookie was stale. Still I suppose it could have been a lot worse....

I was excited by all the high reviews for this place and I have to say I had a pretty satisfying meal. The pros: the fried won ton strips tasted fresh and we were given a small bowl immediately to munch on while we browsed the menu. I ordered the buddha's delight and found all the veggies fresh and crunchy. I usually don't eat the fortune cookies, but the ones they served were really yummy and tasted like a vanilla cookie. I found the inside of this restaurant much nicer than most Chinese restaurants I have been to and the staff was friendly. We went on a Thursday night and were the only guests and felt a little awkward that everyone could clearly hear our conversation. I would recommend going on a busier night if you don't want to be the center of attention. The cons: we came for dinner and the dinner specials menu didn't include a single vegetarian option and specifically stated not to request substitutions. My boyfriend paid $1.50 more for his meal versus mine and was able to get soup, spring roll, and fried rice plus the meat and veggie component of his dish which looked identical to mine except it included steak. Kind of a bummer that they don't cater more to vegetarians, but not a deal breaker because my meal was still tasty. My boyfriend found his beef mediocre and wouldn't recommend this place above any other Chinese restaurant. If you are in the area and hungry, I'd vote to stop in, but I wouldn't go out of your way for it.

I've been looking for good Chinese food in Oviedo since I moved here last year. There are some bad ones here and a couple mediocre ones and I had given up until I found this little gem. Not only is it a great take out place, it's amazing to dine in as well: great atmosphere, friendly and quick service and I love the fish tanks. The good tastes so clean and delicious. They'll make anything you want and are very attentive. Curry chicken is one of my favorites here.

I just moved to Oviedo and I was so happy to come across Dragon City. This is not your typical Chinese takeout. We had the Cashew Chicken and General's Chicken. Both dishes were awesome and full of flavor!! The dinners also came with a choice of soup and an egg roll. I will be back for sure to Dragon City!

I had swung by this place several months ago and picked up some special soup - which I really liked... So, I was craving some Chinese and decided to head over for a pick up. My local Chinese restaurant is horrible, but this one isn't TOO far out of the way, so why not? The item to set the bar, of course, is hot and sour soup - I loved it, thought it was delicious. Ordered General Tso shrimp due to recommendation from previous reviewer, again, fantastic. My husband ordered crispy beef... Very good with great flavor. The only thing that was a big disappointment was the dumplings. See, I love dumplings, but I hate it when they are dough-y, and these are dough-y. All in all, a solid 4 stars. Will definitely be back to try different things. (I wonder how the moo shu is?) but, will someone please change the dumplings? Also, was I just super hungry, and was everything that good, that the portions seemed a tad smaller than your typical Chinese order?

Their veggie fried rice is excellent, a bit greasy but still very good. The honey garlic chicken was good, not great, but good. Overall it's probably one of the better Chinese take out places in this particular area, and the staff is very friendly.

I was surprised to find out this wasn't your average Chinese fast food place. Super clean inside and an actual restaurant that offers take out. The food was fresh and best part on the healthy side. White meat chicken and nothing was greasy. We ordered General Tso chicken, Orange chicken, beef teriyaki, wonton soup, egg drop soup, and eggs rolls. Everything was great. The service was great and the price was affordable given all the food. I will definitely stick with this place from now on.

I went to Dragon City with my husband. We ordered the dinner special of Vegetable Chop Suey and Shrimp Lo Mei. The dinners came with soup and egg roll along with egg friend rice. I ordered vege hot and sour soup which was delicious. I really enjoyed the chop suey as well. Usually the vege chop suey is a little blend but this was perfect and had enough sauce. My husband also enjoyed the Lo Mein. I am from Chicago and I thought it was much better than Chicago dining experience in terms of restaurants in a small strip mall. The ambiance was nice, the restaurant was nice and quiet! Loved the soup :). I found the restaurant on yelp and glad I dined here.

While looking for something to eat after an early movie I decided to visit Dragon Court since I haven't been in a while, and long behold it was replaced by Dragon City. What was going to be a routine dinning experienced turned out to be a new favorite place to eat. It's been slightly remodeled and has a nice spacious and clean feeling with the new decor. I ordered the Hot n Sour soup, Dumplings, Fried Wontons and House Special Fried Rice. The fried rice was good, and not greasy like some New York style take out restaurants. The Hot n Sour Soup is truly unique in flavor compared to others I have tried. I can see myself ordering just the soup alone for lunch in the biggest container they have available(Family Style). The Fried Wontons were a pleasant surprise along with the plating of the food. Everything was displayed with care down to the sliced oranges. Add that to the great service and you have a good place to eat.

Dragon Court has the same, run of the mill Americanized Chinese food that many other places in the area have. There is nothing particularly special or enticing about the place, aside from the fact that it convenient for anyone who lives in Oviedo. Saying it is gourmet is a joke. The prices aren't exactly reflective of the quality of the food, but they are reflective of the fact that it isn't a standard NY-style takeaway set up. If you're looking for a Tuesday night dinner close to the house that doesn't include a Thank You bag, this is probably one of your better choices.

Dragon City is in the same location as Dragon Court, but with new owner. The owner was once the cook for Dragon Court. The inside is now clean of all that art that never sold, but the fish tanks are still there. Dragon City has a clean look. The people were friendly and vary polite. The food is some of the best Chinese food that I have had in a long time, everything was made fresh and was yet tasty. The dumplings were very large. Our dinners were excellent. We will be eating at Dragon City more often; it is like finding a treasure, when you find good Chinese food. They did not put pea and carrots in the fried rice and did not tempera everything. Their fried noodles that you get with your soup are made there and are light and not greasy. Dragon City is near gourmet. If I could give a foodie award - Dragon City would get one from me ;-)

The owners are lovely. They brought two platters of samples into the wine store, during the weekly wine tasting, to advertise their business. Wanting to support local business, we patronized them for dinner. Indeed, it is your average American-Chinese restaurant with really sweet owners and an interior that is modern and comfortable. The cost of the food is very reasonable.

We have had dinner there twice, and both times the service was friendly and prompt, the food served hot and very flavorful. The prices are exceedingly reasonable, the atmosphere is unlike most chinese restaurants - contemporary, simple with cozy lighting. The menu however, is rather limited. They do feature all of the typical chinese restaurant standards (Mu Gu Gai Pan, Szechuan Beef, etc.), but are lacking anything very different or exotic to try.

Delicious! Dragon Court has to be the best Chinese place I've been too since I got to Central Florida. The General Tso's shrimp, as Peter mentioned, is amazing. We also had the honey and garlic chicken which was great and the very tasty Mongolian beef. The shrimp came with eggrolls which I will also add were some of the best egg rolls I've ever had. I can really vouch for this place, both in fact since washed dishes there while I was in college. They make quality food that only costs a little more than the cheap places (like Great China across the street from UCF). Try the Seven Spice Shrimp for a really good dish.

A surprisingly elegant and well designed Chinese food joint. Doing a mainly takeout service, the eat-in booths are nice, and the decor has been supplemented with very tony framed chinese objects de Chine. An OK Saki, good food, and very nice staff. General Tso's shrimp is particularly good. A nice and quite place, surprisingly hidden in a strip mall. Wander down the mall to the local wine shop for a nice diversion, with Friday wine tastings.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
