We really enjoy their fresh slices, but I have to admit, it's pretty greasy. The thing is, it's no more so than anywhere else around these parts. The slices are really big, and the cheese is SO yummy. We always order extra cheese. Delivery can be kind of slow, especially considering how close the shop is to our home. All in all, it's good local pizza.

Tried this place when I was in Oviedo the other day. My brother-in-law had told me good things. They have really good deals on their lunch specials. I ended up ordering their 10" pizza with unlimited toppings and a drink for like $5 or $6. My pizza was very good and you can't beat the price. Anytime I go somewhere that serves cannoli's, I have to get one. I tried theirs and was unfortunately very disappointed. The cannoli shell tasted a little stale and more chewy. I like my cannoli's crispy. That's the only reason I couldn't give them five stars. Good spot though, I would come back for sure.

Being a New Englander and knowing a thing or two about pizza, or as we call it pie. This place doesn't do it.. There has been a lot of talk on the local Oviedo face book page on how great this place is. I'm thinking that those individuals don't know good pizza, or maybe they think Pizza Hut and dominos are good places. Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pie, thinking that this place being a local joint might be off the hook, due to the face book posting. Boy was I wrong... I should have just ordered a pizza from dominos. There is not real taste in the criust, at best this is a below average pizza place at best. Pizza was bland and that's being nice. I would steer clear of this spot. There are plenty of better choices in the area.

Ordered to go from here many times. Pizza had always been on time, very consistent and always delish! The stuffed pizza although pricy is to die for and worth ever penny! Also they have 2 world pizza toss champions that work there tossing pies. Eggplant parm and salads are also very good and desserts are out of this world.

Well I only went as far as trying their cannolis and I was pleased.

The owner, Staley Laise, is a crook and doesn't pay taxes. They use sub part ingredients, cheese is left out and sauce is made from a can. Nothing is fresh or wholesome about this place. The original owner, Ken Creadore, he put everything he had into this place and then was swindled by Ms. Laise, who stole from him and then killed him. This is definitely not a good place to be.

I love this place. They have great pizza. My kids used to love seeing the guys toss the dough in the air, but I haven't seen them do that recently. The atmosphere isn't incredible, but it's nice for a pizza joint. And you can't beat $1 slices on Tuesday nights. I just fed my family of 4 for less than $10.

We never get an extra large pizza (at any pizza place) because it never seems to bake well. We prefer a large and have them cook it longer to get it crispier. I have never had bad pizza here but haven't tried anything. Tuesday is $1 slice day.

I don't know where the other reviewers ate but I am a big fan of Backstreet Pizza. We have had almost all of their pizzas and some sandwiches and salads and they have all been delicious. The garlic knots are tasty too! And don't leave without a cannoli! My favorite pizza is the Backstreet Sherry Sauce - it's delicious. Also the calzones and strombolis are excellent. They have great daily specials and also there are tables there to eat. The folks are super nice too!

I was with a group of friends...grad school students...and knew it was a bad idea to trust a bunch of students on where to spend money for lunch. It seem's that students always forsake quality and flavor in favor of large quantities and low expense. However...this was jackpot winner of a place! Wow! Really?! In the back of a strip mall in the middle of no-where....is amazing pizza? Yes. Really. I was going to order a typical pepperoni pizza. However, when the owner asked me what I wanted on my "pie" it gave me pause. She noticed my pondering mind and said, "We make our own meatballs...try a meatball pie." I told her just to serve it up how she wanted me to have it! When it arrived at my table it was a full 10 inches and covered in homemade meatballs, onions, and mushrooms. The dough was New York style and had that awesome familiar taste that one has in NYC! The toppings were perfect as was the sauce. (7 bucks with a drink). She watched me eat it...knowing I had found my way to a great spot. Sadly, this joint is 700 miles from my house...but, almost, worth the drive! Y'all are lucky down in Oviedo to have this place...it's around back...go find it!

Tried this place again. I was desperate and tried it again. Ordered a chicken parm sandwich. Burned beyond recognition. Chicken was black. I will try to upload picture. Never going back. To serve a piece of chicken burned to a carcinogenic proportion is just shameful.

Family owned business. The restaurant is in an out of the way, quite spot, but easily found. We really enjoy the pizza and garlic dough knots. They deliver in a timely fashion.

Pizza is like cafeteria style cardboard.....but a notch better. Interior makes me feel like I'm in a prison or old dental office. Pizza is unoriginal. Staff seems more setup to their home delivery.....Id put one star but I leave that to roach based food joints that should be shut down by the FDA... I swear oviedo business owners miss the ball so hard sometimes.... This place could be great. They took a decent place and literally made it 1990 crappy longwood pizza type joint thats about to go out of business decor and food quality.

We have had their sherry sauce pizza a few times. They are pretty quick to get the order out. I really like the sherry sauce pizza when they make it well, but they are quite inconsistent and never taste the same way twice.

For a pizza joint with such a great location, nestled in between three nice neighborhoods and two A-rated schools, this place shouldn't fail, but fail it will if they do not address their 1) horrible food, 2) crappy service, and 3) did I mention horrible food? I've tried their food three times over 3 months and they are consistently bad. The first time I ordered a pick-up, it was a large pizza that also had some accompanying body hair. The pizza wasn't very good - it was greasy, the sauce tasted like it was from a can of Hunt's - almost like unseasoned tomato sauce, and the dough was unremarkable. If a pizza place can't make pizza... Being a glutton for punishment, I decided they may have had an off night and tried another pizza the next month. No hairs this time but still the same lousy pizza. The final straw was when I decided to try the eggplant parmigiana over pasta. Big mistake. Picture thick slices of overcooked eggplant with bland disgusting tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese melted on top, piled over a huge mound of completely overcooked spaghetti that looked and tasted like it came from the nearby middle school's cafeteria. I mean if you can't get spaghetti pasta right, just file Chapter 11 now. AVOID!

Counter help not very good. Ordered a pizza on the phone came by to pick it up and not ready waited 30 more minutes. Too slow, not even busy. Pizza very oily, thin and very little cheese. With so many pizza places no reason to go back. Prices above average for the area.

We patronized the store one day after it was highlighted in the Oviedo paper. There were no available tables inside, so we sat outside. We ordered our food for "eat in"; approximately 30 minutes later I went into the store to inquire about our order, and it was boxed "to go" on top of the oven. The other table of folks, also sitting outside, was served half of their order, and the other half was reported to be misplaced in the "completed orders". Prices reasonable, bottled beer and wine (it's tough drinking wine out of a styrofoam cup) are available, and taste/quality of food unremarkable.

This spot was decent at 1st but keeps going further down hill...rude staff which sometimes is the owner. This lady does not feel like customers are important. Being from NY I wanted this spot to be good. I have given them too many chances.....you might as well get pizza hut if you want delivery. I drive out to Circostas for my fix for a good slice.

Service was sub par. A young women behind the counter could have cared less. The pie itself was topped with so much oil I had to use 5 pieces of paper towel to soak it up. I like to support small independent places, but if place can't learn good service at least, there is no reason to return my patronage.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
