This is a small place but it's very clean. The atmosphere is positive along with the employees. All were very caring and truly appreciative that we were there eating. A plus, they serve breakfast all day, including having corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and omelets. My stepdaughter ordered blueberry pancakes and I had one of today's lunch specials, the philly cheesesteak. Both were excellent and I must say, as a french fry addict, they have good fries too. Again, the staff was very friendly, honestly cared how we were and how we enjoyed our visit. The prices were excellent and matched the food. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back, reasonable spot with great food and smiles all around. I will definitely be becoming a regular!

Nothing special - not going back. It's a cute place but not sure what all the fuss is about. I make better food at home.

Cheap prices and friendly staff. Food is not the best quality and the orange juice tastes funny. I probably wouldn't go back because the quality of the food is not great.

This place is amazing. The greek omlette and pancakes were absolutely delicious. We cleaned our plates and planned make this our regular spot. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I can't wait to eat my way through the menu.

Great food. Nice and fresh. The grilled chicken pita sandwich was excellent. The chicken is marinated to perfection. We also had the fried shrimp. Shrimp is fresh and tasty. The fries are fresh. We also had the BLT. The lettuce and tomato was fresh. For dessert we had zeppoli's. they are fresh and are coated with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. Sooo good!! Service was excellent also. We will definitely return.

Excellent food and Service. 3 in the party ordering both breakfast and lunch, everything was as ordered including a last minute change. Only open 31/2 months and wish them many years of good business. They are open Monday - Saturday 7AM to 8PM and Sunday 7AM to 3PM. I look forward to going back. Family run and family friendly. Can't say enough about it, well worth a visit.

This is a GREAT local spot for Greek food! We stumbled in here by accident when getting good gas next door at the 7-Eleven. All the dishes are scratch made, large, and very affordable. My wife just had the Taste Of Greece. It had some of the best Greek dishes I have had in a long while. The spinach cheese pie is amazing! The potato salad is a good choice for a side. The chicken rice soup was particularly good as well. Our server Alex was great.

Grabbed a quick lunch here while house hunting nearby, and we were really happy we did! The food was fresh, fast, and really really good. The staff was incredibly friendly and even made a special mickey mouse pancake for our daughter. We got a great value for the price of our meal. We ended up finding a place nearby and we are definitely looking forward to eating here again.

This place was a good value; I really don't have anything bad to say about the place. Service was good and the food came out ridiculously fast. I got pancakes and eggs with bacon. I'm not sure what they do with their scrambled eggs but it was the best part of my meal. The place is a great spot to come to if you are nearby but I don't think it qualifies as a destination breakfast spot or anything. Fair warning though, the place isn't that big. I came on a relatively slow weekday but I can imagine it being quite hard to find a table on weekends. Like I said, it's good diner food at great prices that are maybe not worth writing home about... But certainly worth writing on yelp about :) I'll probably be back as I live nearby and a lot of their breakfast sandwiches did sound really good on paper.

Super fast, good portions for the price, and super quick delivery (first place that I've found that has breakfast for delivery)! All the food was still piping hot (even burnt my mouth a little on the soup). Would definitely order here again.

I'm a regular. Very fast and friendly service. Very inexpensive.

We were hungry, checked Yelp after running a few errands and found this dinner, so off to find it. Well that was a little challenge...not exactly where Yelp shows it...actually in a small strip mall that you enter behind a gas station. We pull up and the sign says Johnny's, but with the name Athena'z painted across it. Inside, there are 6 tables and 3 booths. You seat yourself and there was one young lady covering the front of house and the owner in the back of house...he later came out and visited with us...after he thought there was an issue, because we were taking photos of the food lol. Service was very quick. Breakfast is served all day as well as traditional diner dishes, however they also serve traditional Greek dishes. We chose the greek lemon chicken soup, which is made fresh daily. It was very flavorful and hearty, plentiful with vegggies and rice. The Ruben sandwich was toasted well with good quality pastrami. The fries were hot and cruchy on the outside while soft on the inside. It appears to be a local crowd supporting a small local business...just the kind of place we love to support.

Average and simple American breakfast. Will come back to try their Greek lunch. The diner is small and clean. The coffee and iced tea were average. The service was average. There is really nothing spectacular to say.... Just a quick breakfast.

Got there early this morning and had the place all to ourselves. Great little spot, so thanks to all you yelpers for your reviews and getting us to try Johnny's. Perfectly cooked eggs, nice blueberry pancakes and bacon. Coffee good & hot. Looks like this will soon be a hidden Greek dining spot, and we're looking forward to it.

My partner and I typically head over here around 11am and enjoy a large meal at a fair price. The staff are kind and the service is quick. The food is definitely comfort food :-) be aware that this is a small restaurant with little to no waiting room so perhaps call ahead to make sure your wait won't be too long. However, the wait (for us) has never been over 5-10 minutes!

Went for lunch today, we ordered the Turkey club sandwich and traditional gyro. Both were fantastic! Service was spot on, and meals were inexpensive. Can't wait to go back!
(4)Michelle S.
Just ate here for the first time. I had the turkey pita sandwich and my co worker had the club sandwich. Both were great and fairly priced. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. If I had to say one less than positive thing it would be that the fries were slightly over done but who hasn't done that before?? Loved it and will definitely eat here again.

Great lunch spot! Lemon ckn soup hit the spot. Chicken souvlaki was tasty too. Will go again! Support this little place!

Love this place! The last couple restaurants there only lasted a year or so then went under. I'm so glad Johnny's is still there!

I visited Johnny's Diner with my family this past weekend. I think it is a great little family diner. Our server, Tasha, was fantastic. She was very friendly and attentive. Even though they were very busy she had a great attitude. She really makes this restaurant stand out. I ordered WAY too much food. I thought I was ordering just a basic two egg breakfast not realizing the meal came with pancakes too. They were lovely pancakes, but I was so stuffed we had to take them to go. It was very busy and the kitchen seemed to be running a little behind, but I really can't complain because the food still came out fast, it just wasn't ready all at once. In a more formal place that would be a huge negative, but I'd rather everyone eat as soon as their food is ready than leave it sitting in the window anyway. (And we had a large group, so there probably wasn't even room in the window for all of our food at once anyway.) They told us the diner will be expanding into the space next door, and they really need the room. It was packed when we were there and people were having to wait outside. (Luckily we got there early and snagged a few tables as soon as we arrived, but there was a decent line by the time we left.) I loved there were regulars here. Any time you hear the server ask if someone wants "the usual" you know you've found a good spot. Breakfast was yummy and the prices were great. It's a bit far for me but I will be sure to stop in whenever I am in the area.

The restaurant was just purchased by a new owner. Yay! The food will be so much better now! Let's get This business back to good! Out with the old. In with the new!

Excellent place to grab a home cooked breakfast! Staff are welcoming and friendly! After eating here regularly I can safely say I have never been disappointed!

A hidden gem. If you want great food at an expensive price, the you want to visit Johnny's Diner Oviedo. We have been here for both breakfast and lunch and we have never had any bad meals. They have a wide variety of breakfast meals and if you like grits - you should trryyy them. As for lunch, their Reuben is "wow." It's probably one of the best I've had. And their burgers are specially rolled. You won't have 25 different types of crepes, pancakes, or waffles to pick from. If you want that, then go to Kiki's and First Watch. But if you want good food at a decent price, you need to go here. Now this is not a fancy place. It's a simple little hometown restaurant or diner. It's not real big given there are about 12 tables. But you will not fine a friendlier staff. On the weekends, this place can be very busy and you may wait. DO NOT let that deter you. You may wait a long 10 minutes. It's well worth it. Oh and if they are busy, be patient with the staff because they are really friendly. And if you go on a Saturday morning, there is a good chance you may see my wife and I. We are the ones that bike to this place. Honestly, you need to go here. And it you don't like it, I would be surprised. But remember what I said - great food, great price, hometown atmosphere, and great staff. If you want something else, then go somewhere else.

Just ate here today and I was very impressed with their food. The food was very good and we got our food in a very timely fashion. I would definitely recommend this place.

We have eaten breakfast here 3 times and have never been disappointed. They have good food at good prices and the service is efficient and friendly. I would like to try dinner while we are in the area sometime soon.

Really friendly staff and the owner personally checks in on his customers. Hard working family owned business. We ordered a variety of breakfast items Biscuits and gravy were good the corn beef hash eggs and biscuits were great. Good portions for a really great price. Give them a try

Great neighborhood dinner, food is always fresh and the staff is always willing to serve, only wish the dining area was slightly larger.

Being born and raised in south I do not take offense to being called "sweetheart" or "honey" like some do. It's just a way of life for us. So when I called Johnny's on Sunday to see if they were open and was greeted with a pleasant, accommodating voice on the other end, it solidified our visit. We hit Johnny's around 12:45 still not sure if we wanted breakfast or lunch. The fact that they serve breakfast all day is a plus in my indecisive mind. They also offer a few daily specials and note them on a sandwich board outside of the restaurant. This is rather important because when you open the doors you realize just how small Johnny's is. There's no way they're fitting much more in there. They have maybe 4 booths and a handful of tables (I cannot imagine going at a busy time) and the open areas are few & far between. We were welcomed upon entering and selected a booth by the windows. 2 of us opted for breakfast and one went with lunch. Johnny's has standard diner fare - eggs, pancakes, selection of breakfast meat, burgers, sandwiches, pitas, etc. I ordered the Belgian waffle special (1 egg, 2 bacon), the BF got a rather large assortment of breakfast items, and daughter went with a bacon and cheese pita (heart attack, you say?) The waffle was big, egg perfect & bacon crispy. BF's bucket 'o breakfast was consumed entirely so I assume it was good, as well. And the girl's pita was loaded with cheese, which made her very happy. I will echo other reviewers comments on the pancakes. They came with the BF's meal and are made of, what I can only assume to be, cake batter and heaven. They are fluffy, sweet, and drool-worthy, though not large. Johnny's is located on Aloma near Via Loma Drive in a small strip plaza. There is a well-known family friendly sports restaurant on the end and Johnny's is located on the opposite end (nearest the gas station). Service was quick without being pushy and friendly and the food was everything you'd expect from a local, friendly diner.

Yummy breakfast, great prices. Service is always wonderful! I LOVE their omelets!

Great breakfast. Service was super friendly, efficient, and fast. Food was very good - typical American diner fare. Great pancakes. Food was a solid 4, and the extra great service makes this a 5.
