The chef here cures his own meats and makes his own cheeses! We've gotten to know Chef Jason from his down low dining events he's held in this space over the years. I'm really glad they turned this great space into Wolfie's Pizzamia. They have a lot of creative menu toppings and I'm so impressed with all the Italian meats he cures and makes himself. Many of those meats are also toppings in the pizzas. Go with a group, order the Salumi platter a nice salad and a pizza and share all around the table. I know I'll be going here regularly to try all the creative items.

This is the third night I have called for delivery, two calls each night, so six calls total. I never get an answer at either the pizza joint or adjoining restaurant's extensions, which leads me to believe that they're really not all that interested. I'm not sure how suppliers or family of the staff manage to reach the business, but this is the last disappointment for me.

We wanted to grab a bite to eat between events during Otronicon at the OSC without having to drive. Only .3 miles away, it was an enjoyable walk (except for the part that it's chilly out today). The place is small and cozy, but doesn't feel cramped. There's something interesting to look at in every corner without looking tacky or cluttered. We ended up splitting the College Park pizza, which was delicious! Freshly made, not greasy, and crust was delicious. Other dishes are named after other areas of Orlando, which I really like because it gives a more local feel. Unfortunately, we were in a rush, but Sarah was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely make our way back here - when we're not in a rush!

We loved this place. This was our first time here. We were running late for a show at the Bob Carr and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. The decor is cozy and inviting. The arugula salad was very good, as was the Mills Ave pizza. Service was very attentive-our server Sarah was delightful. It's small, so I hate to recommend it because I know it will be hard to get a table in here in the future but we'll definitely go back!

Yes yes yes. Finally. Is it too hard to ask for a proper chicken parm in this town??? Not at Wolfies. I highly recommend spreading the roasted garlic accompanied with your side pasta on the bread and a quick dip in the sauce. Nicely done Wolfies, and a great drink menu! This former New Yorker is one happy camper

Not at all what I expected!! Honestly, from the name I expected it to be a run of the mill pizza joint. It was so much more than that! We really enjoyed the pizza and the menu had very authentic Italian cuisine. The ambiance and decor was warm and inviting. The service was great as well. The garlic knots were a little overcooked, so we told the Waiter and got another order. After we were done with our meal, the Sous Chef sent out a complementary order of Zeppolis that were AMAZING! I was impressed with our first visit and can't wait to try something new on their menu.

Okay, let's be real! This place is it. Everything is made in house. They cure their own meats, make their own pasta, bread, even their own cheese and gelato! It taste like it too, this place is delicious! I have no idea why it only has 3.5 stars. We started with the Salumi plate and the meatball appetizers. The Salumi plate had about 6 different types of house cured meats, homemade bread, apricot whiskey jam, and pig butter. It was very reasonable at only 10$. We also got the meatballs, which were 2 large meatballs made from 3 different types of meat (lamb, pork, veal... I think). They were good too and 8$ but I would recommend just paying the extra 5 and getting the pasta dish that comes with 3 meatballs. The pasta dishes were about 12 or 13$. We ordered the lasagna because they said they run out sometimes at night. It was huge!!!! We took 3/4 of it home. Definitely a good price. We also tried one of the 18'' pizza's, we got half and half with BURANO MOZZ Proscruitto di Wolf, Arugula salad * goat cheese. & POVEGLIA Cherry tomato, bualo mozzarella, Arugula salad & dry salted beef. It was really good. A nice large piece of cured meat on every slice, a good amount of goat cheese that worked really well and the arugula salad had a pleasant and sufficient tang to bring it all together. The pizza was 18$ for an 18 inch which..... I hate to even compare but just for the sake of perspective... makes it cheaper than flippers ... "artisinal" ...pizza. It was much more filling too and the ingredients are of such a higher quality, its not even worth comparing except for the sake of price. For desert we got the homemade Blueberry Cheesecake. It was covered with blueberries on the top, almond crust, and the cheesecake part was made from mascarpone so it was very light. Delicious! It was huge and only 5$ They have a large selection of daily appetizers and deserts that are not on their regular menu so you will have to stop in and see what they have! *****We got the Travelzoo voucher for 25$. It made this whole meal an even better deal and the voucher is still available. Just search Travelzoo for restaurants in Orlando and you will see it. The description of the deal is a bit misleading, but essentially you buy the voucher for 25$ and when you use it 53$ is taken off of your bill. So its still a really good deal!!! Especially considering the restaurant is top quality and reasonably priced. There is also an option to buy a 49$ voucher for the 106$ off your bill. Great for a larger party. This is the kind of restaurant I have been waiting to open in Orlando! The real deal, check it out!!

First time here me and a buddy got a pizza to go. Nice quaint environment. By the register they have all kinds of cured meats hanging. We ordered the prosciutto and mozzarella pizza. When we came back to pick it up the manager was displeased with the size of the pie so she offered to make us another if we were willing to wait. We were in no rush so we grabbed a beer and waited. Ended up getting two DELICiOUS pizzas for the price of one. Overall there was great, friendly customer service and some of the best pizza toppings you don't see at many pizza places anymore. Real italian style. Highly recommend this place if you are a fan of authentic pizza.

2 months ago my boyfriend and I had a hard time getting in touch with Pizzamia to make a reservation and I wrote a pretty scathing review of their customer service practices. The executive chef quickly wrote back apologizing for the inconvenience and I am happy to see that the restaurant has drastically improved customer service. We went to Pizzamia this weekend and were so pleased with the experience we've been telling all of our friends about it. To start, we split the salumi platter, mussels, and ahi tuna crudo. Our favorite by a mile was the salumi platter served with fig jam and fresh crusty bread. $10 was a great price for an excellent appetizer. The mussels were served in a tomato and basil "broth" with what appeared to be lightly pickled cabbage-also very good. The tuna crudo was very fresh but a bit of a let down as the acid wasn't evenly distributed on the plate. We didn't get to taste the acidity until the last two pieces when we realized that this was what the dish was supposed to taste like. After 3 starters, we split a large Burano Mozz pizza which featured prosciutto, goat cheese, and arugula. The crust was absolutely perfect - crispy on the bottom, airy and chewy in center. The prosciutto paired really well with the goat cheese and the arugula gave a peppery/bitter edge to the pizza. It was freaking delicious. If we were nitpicking, we would have wanted a bit of acidity on the arugula but nevertheless the pizza as a whole was still outstanding. Overall, Pizzamia delivers on its promise of delicious gourmet pizzas. Nevertheless we had a small issue with the establishment charging $0.50 for extra bread. When we're paying $60+ for dinner and $18 for a pizza alone, I really don't want to feel like the restaurant is nickle and diming me. Additionally, I'm not sure what was up with the wait staff constantly running in and out the door carrying plates & crates of beer, but it sort of felt like Pizzamia was a storage facility for White Wolf Cafe. With the staff running in and out the door, it took a while to flag someone down for the check. The restaurant should also consider replacing the high-top tables with normal tables for 2. We didn't want to sit on the high-tops and none of the other couples wanted to either. We ended up occupying a table for 4 like the couple next to us, while larger parties were forced to wait. Regardless, despite our earlier hesitations, Pizzamia thoroughly impressed us and we will 100% be back. Keep up the great work - your pizza is freaking awesome!

The pizza and apps were very well done. Tasty, hot, and cooked just right. Like White Wolf the decor and service are crap. Go for the pizza not for the experience.

The space is cozy and unique. Pandora hotel lounge music plays in the background (but can they please spend the couple of dollars a month so there are no commercials). The wine list is short and overpriced. The pizza is focused on the cured meats (which are good), but overall, the pizza is disappointing. The crust was really TERRIBLE. "Authentic" Italian crust is not doughy and dry, but rather thin and crisp. Way too much oil in the recipe! Better artisan pizza can be found for the same price point at Armando's and Prato's in Winter Park, and nearby Kingfish on Edgewater Drive in College Park. Ultimately, Pizzamia, like White Wolf Cafe, misfires on the food. They mean well but can't just seem to get it right. AND please, what's the deal with closing the restaurant for private events? This only annoys customers. Focus on getting the food right, building a customers base and then there will be no need to close the restaurant for private functions.

We got an ad at our house for the new pizza place in town and figured why not give it a try! It sounds amazing! We used the coupon for an 18" pizza, 12 wings and garlic knots for $25, great deal! We called picked our pizza (the colonial) and the girl said it would be 55 mins to 1 hour. My first thought, that's a long time, but maybe they are busy. It is Saturday. We waited and waited and at the 1 hour mark the girl calls us back and confirms our order and address. So I asked you mean you haven't left? Your at the one hour mark! She replies, oh no! He should be there any second! Well 15 mins later he shows up. At this point I'm already a bit peeved and hungry. Border line hangry. I pay the man make it known I'm upset and his response is "sorry". I said if your going to make me wait an hour for one pizza and wings, at least be on time! We go inside to dig in, and find that we have 10 wings (that are too salty), cold pizza, and about 20 garlic knots. This was a first and last time experience for this pizza joint. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I will never eat here again nor will I recommend it! They need to revisit grade school and learn to count and tell time!

Ordered Take-out pizza and apps. The Ivanhoe. Not pleased, thought it was missing a few toppings. Rather plain. I might try again only because of local support. Meat ball app was tasty. Got what expected, but antipasto was a joke. More like Ceaser with salami. Expected more from pizzamia, spent. $40. Salad, Mt. Balls, pizza. Not quite worth it.

I have been here twice and really enjoyed the pizza both times. I haven't had to wait for a table, but it always fills up later in the evening. The restaurant doesn't rush you or the food-which I like -but could be off putting for some. Must say, the pizza is with the wait!

So, last night we went to Wolfies for a special occasion, and we were really disappointed. We chose the place as we like the European atmosphere and that it is a non-chain venture. We had an app that was a daily special, squash blossom tempura, but when we went over the check and saw these two little beignets cost $12 we were shocked. The pizza we had was over salty, and somewhat dry. But the Caesar salad and lasagna were really tasty, though the lasagna was in a small casserole dish and I tried to pull it out as that looked ugly on the plate. It was almost scary to do so as it was so hot. We had beers and cider and they were fine but the waiter was a bit condescending when we discussed these choices. The real reason I am writing is about the waiter, after we were served he did come back and ask how the meal was, but that is where the story ends. He never returned to take our plates, he never asked us if we wanted another beer nor if we wanted desserts or coffees or liqueur. It is not like the place was busy, at that time there was just one couple other then us. He did go to them and serve them beers and walked right by us and totally ignored that we were sitting there with plates that were empty. We waited another 10 min's and finally (he was right next to us ignoring us at his station) we asked if we could have the check, he said sure, came over and left it and again never returned, lucky we had cash as he again never asked us if we need change or pay by credit card etc. We felt totally ignored and irrelevant and left a bad tip but part of us wished we left no tip and just a note saying 'don't ignore your customers, customers are king!" Another thing mentioned in another review which we totally agree, to have Pandora paying in the back round but to not pay the $34 dollars a year to be commercial free is absolutely insulting, who wants to hear ads for home depot while you are eating! I fear this place will not last with the reviews I am reading here. I really hope the owner takes the reviews seriously and works through all the issues mentioned.

This place is perfect. When we walked in, I was immediately impressed with the cozy decor and intimate lighting. Service was top notch without being invasive of our personal time. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails: Cucumber & Basil Gin Rickey and Sweet Summer Rain - both of which were delicious and refreshing. The meatball app was superb - succulent combination of three meats and savory sauce. Finally our pizza was fantastic and topped with in-house made prosciutto (they cure their own meats and make their cheeses in house). Just a top notch experience all around. Our only mistake was waiting this long to come here. We won't make that mistake again and neither should you.

I was excited to get a menu in the mail that offered gluten free pizza. My GF pizza comes from the publix freezer. The menu is deceiving in which it doesn't explain the size of the GF pizza and I was led to believe they offered 2 sizes. I thought awesome they must make their own GF dough. I WAS HORRIBLY WRONG. The only GF pizza available was a 14", they must purchase the pizza crust already made. The dough tasted like cardboard. I ordered 1/2 mushroom and onion and the other 1/2 cheese. The most expensive GF pizza ever... $26 including tip and delivery. I wouldn't mind paying the price if the pizza was worth it but it was total garbage. If you are looking for GF pizza my advice is to look elsewhere. I have no comments about their regular pizza since I can't eat it and have never tried it. But to all my gluten intolerant and celiac neighbors don't waste your money. Publix sells a fozen gluten free pizza that's much much better. it's not udi's or amy's, both are pretty bad and even those are better than the GF pizza from this place.

Cute place, but service needs work and food wasn't what I expected. We ordered salads which were forgotten about, but they were taken off our bill. Another table got up and left during our dinner because of service and order issues. Prices are a little high. I don't mind paying more for a quality product but $8 for 2 good, but not great meatballs seems a bit much. Two half-portions of an antipasta salad = $14. The pizza at Eternal Tap is better. I read the reviews on this place and I like White Wolf, but probably won't go back.

When we arrived they couldn't find our reservation (and I later observed this happened to several other people, too). So they stuck us at a cocktail table. The chairs were so uncomfortable that I insisted to be moved to another table, which they reluctantly did after I said if they didn't move us I would leave. We thought we would order wine but the wine list had just a few choices and were unremarkable and expensive for the type of wine. They only had one beer listed. So we opted to just have sodas :0( The pizza took an extremely long time to arrive. When it did we were relieved that at least it was very very good. By then we were fearing the worst. It's a shame that the service is so bad because this is a really cute place and the food is great. But sadly we will never return.

We were directed here as an alternate to waiting for a table at White Wolf Cafe. I'm glad that happened. They have the best Caesar salad I've ever eaten. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Garlic knots and marinara were awesome and the veggie pizza was fantastic. My partner agreed. I didn't have any meat dishes, but I'm sure they'd be delicious. Service was slightly slow, but polite and accommodating. We will be returning in the future.

Average service, average food. Have been to this restaurant on 2 separate occasions. First visit was absolutely abysmal and would have only rated a 1 star review. We made 8 pm reservations on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly and ordered the salumi platter for an appetizer. When it was delivered to our table it was dropped off with no explanation as to what any of the items were. We asked a different server, that was filling water glasses, what exactly was on the platter, he wasn't sure and was going to go check. He never did come back and explain what was on the platter. We ordered a large salad to split between the two of us and what came out was a small salad. The server didn't seem real concerned about the mistake when it was pointed out. We said the small was fine as we were also going to order pizza. We ordered our pizza and the first time it came out to us the dough was raw in the middle and extremely chewy. When we pointed out the raw dough, they stated they had run out of pizza dough and this batch didn't have enough time to rise, so that probably caused the issue with the dough not cooking properly. First they offered to stick our pizza back in the oven to cook a little longer, which I thought was a strange solution to the problem. Then they offered to remake our pizza.....an hour later the second pizza came out, with the EXACT SAME PROBLEM! Why would you offer to remake our pizza, only to have the same thing happen? Meanwhile, looking around at the other diners, everyone else also had anemic looking crust on their pizza. None of the other diners complained! So obviously the restaurant decided to take a "wait and see" approach to customer service, if anyone complained about the pizza they would try and fix it, but if customers were fine w/ eating raw dough, they weren't about to say, "Sorry, I know we're a pizza place, but we've run out of pizza dough for the night. Can I get you something else?" They removed the cost of the pizza from our bill. Great! It's not like I got to eat a full slice of either pizza anyway. We were given 2 beverages on the house for our hour long wait for the second pizza. We were also given our choice of dessert for free, which was essentially our dinner at that point. We had an Amazon Local deal to use, but once the pizza was removed from our bill, we were no where close to the $40 deal value. Hence we went back on a second night to give them another chance and use our Amazon local deal. This time the pizza was adequate, no raw dough, but also nothing to get excited about. Pasta bolognese was the evening special and it was ok, not very flavorful, have had better at Ravenous Pig. I did notice that the chef came out and delivered most of the food to the tables, including a salumi platter to one table and he did explain what everything was. So it looks like they are trying to up their customer service. After 2 tries, not willing to go back again, especially when better pizza and pasta are available at other dining establishments.

The Salumi platter is a must do. Great to have a chef who is into natural, dry cured meats. Pizza's are big and unique, or craft your own from the same list of unique ingredients. Helpful, friendly staff...... we will be back.

Recently ate here and obviously none of the people who have reviewed this place have ordered their 14" pizza. The price is $15 and you can get plain cheese or multiple toppings for the same price which would be great if you actually received a 14" pizza. I actually had a measuring tape in my bag and it was more like a 12" pizza. My two elementary school aged children shared the pizza and were still hungry. This pizza was much smaller than the 14" pizzas we normally get. The kids pizza at Prato in Winter Park was bigger too. Not sure if they can legally serve a 12" pizza and tell people it's 14". You guys better make sure it's legal to do that. Maybe measure the pan you're using. Other than that, the pizza was actually really good but until they are honest with their patrons, we're not going back.

Our first visit was pretty good - we enjoyed the pizza and service was acceptable. 2nd experience was takeout for movie night with some friends and the pizzas were pretty good - as good as they could be 30 minutes after coming out of the oven - but that is not their issue. Our 3rd experience was a train wreck. Long wait for service - we requested the Cesaer salad to share and requested a mix of romaine and arugula. Long wait for the salad - and it came out with all arugula and very little dressing - which was inedible. Worse - the pizza came out at the same time, the chef delivered the salad and apologized for the mix-up. We ended sending the salad back and just having the pizza. Again a too long wait for the check - and then for the payment to be processed. So disappointing......the concept is great the pizza is pretty good - but we will not be back. While we were waiting there was obviously several unhappy patrons - a takeout that resulted in a refund - and the chef spent a lot of time in the front of the house - obviously trying to make amends.

The service is horrendous. Went here to try it out after reading some great reviews. First I all the total restaurant only has about 15-20 tables max and yet the servers cannot seem to handle any of the guests. We arrived and were waiting for two more to join our party. The "host" was very friendly and got us waters and drinks. The waiter did not come by for over 10 minutes. We had to waive him down to order an appetizer. It took forever for a second beer to come much less the appetizer. Then we ordered the dinner. This again took another 30 minutes. Gi ally the food came and the lasagne that one person ordered was fully of fatty meat, and the pizza that was supposed to have no mushroom came loaded with mushrooms. The Caesar salad never arrived. The pizza was good but the food does not make up for the lack of service and attention to guests. We had to resort to waiving our hands to have someone come to the table. Will not be back.

I've only been here once...because I did not enjoy my experience. I came here with 2 friends on a Friday evening several months ago. We wanted to sit outside, so we went in to let them know. Apparently that was such a hassle for the waitstaff since nobody came out to greet us for at least 10 minutes. We had 3 different servers take care of us over the course of our maybe 1 hour dinner. So when the time came for the check, well it never came. I went inside and couldn't find any of the 3 people who had been to our table. The food was good, just terrible service.

They have one of the best pizzas I've ever had! Not sure the name. It was a special with arugula and pork belly then they put it on the menu. So so delicious! The service has always been good as well. The only drawback is their hours. We will be back!

As I write this I am savoring one of the last slices of Wolfies' pizza that I will ever eat. This will be both a review and a tribute to a great little pizzeria. Always heard pretty good things about the place but hadn't had a chance to check it out myself. I was disappointed when news broke that it would be closing down. So I made plans and invited a friend out to dinner this past Saturday for our first/last visit. I loved the cozy dimly lit dining room and how the decor, furniture & cabinetry all added to the rustic feel of the space. We ordered a round of drinks and an appetizer to start. I had the Garden of Eden which was a smooth gin based cocktail with pomegranate juice, fig syrup & amaro nonino. The Meatballs were a great app to share for two. The veal, pork & brisket mix was a nice blend of flavors. In an effort to maximize the experience we ordered an entree each and also decided to split a 18" Il Bello Maiale. There was a fig vinaigrette on the pizza that complemented the smoked pork belly & roasted peppers really well. The crust was thicker than traditional pizzas, but it's quality was good so I didn't mind. We were of course expecting leftovers but the portions on my friends Eggplant Parmesan and my Lasagna were huge. Being a fan of wetter Lasagna's the generous amount of cheese and sauce really hit the spot. The meal left a good enough impression that I came back again for dinner on Sunday. This time I tried the garlic knots with pig butter which were amazing. Once again the fresh dough really shines through. I was also excited to taste the hand made pappardelle in the Pasta Bolognese. The red wine ragù was savory and the pasta had terrific bite to it. I couldn't resist ordering one last pie to go, just to sample the house cured spicy coppa & bresaola. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I was able to squeeze into my two visits. Again sad to see the place go, since it's right in my new hood. But the staff did mention that the owners were debating carrying over some of the menu items. So even though Wolfies is gone, maybe we'll see some iteration of the namesake pizzas and/or dishes pop up at White Wolf Cafe.

I booked this as a last minute valentines day choice and after reading recent reviews I thought I made a poor decision. Fortunately I wasn't disappointed. I have been to Wolfies 4-5 times throughout some of the many chef/server/management changes. While the service at times has been awkward, we have pretty much always had a good experience here. Yes the menu has changed a bit and lost some of its umpf. But what remains on the menu is good. I love their salads (big enough to share) and their pizzas have a great crust to cheese ratio. Some favorites from our dinner was my starter cocktail, Mediterranean Mule, and the tiramisu was amazing. I actually wasn't planning on eating more than a bite or two of my husband's tiramisu but once I got a taste of the creamy goodness I couldn't stop eating it. As always I love the ambiance of the place. I love the old world/antique decor and the jazzy spotify station they chose was "spot" on for a great dining experience. Thanks Wolfies for coming through on Valentines Day!

Almost everything on the menu including all of the breads, pasta, dough, salumi, and most of the cheeses are made in house and what other ingredients they do use are sourced locally and sustainably when available. Chef AJ Haines even cures all of his meats and cheeses in house, so don't ask for boring old pepperoni on your pizza. All sausages and charcuterie are aged and seasoned in a charcuterie drying cabinet that is on display in the dining room. We started our tasting adventure with a skewer of Compressed Melon topped with Prosciutto, Fried Basil and Blue Cheese. A perfect savory and sweet treat to whet our appetites. Our next dish was a Mini Charcuterie Plate of Bresaola, Filleto, House Cured Provolone with a baguette and a side of pig butter. The flavor from the house cured meats and cheese was superb. Wolfies is a very unique place with lots of great food and a great atmosphere.

Mmmmm! Got to try Wolfies out for lunch yesterday and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I usually feel sickly full after an Italian lunch, but Wolfies had fabulous, fresh options with no grease in sight! I'd describe the interior as rustic, Italian eclectic. This goes with the White Wolf Cafe vibe, but has a lot of authentic Italian charm. When we arrived the restaurant was empty but people did start to come in after 12. The service was great! I hope this was just a slow day because this place deserves to be packed for lunch! I started with a half portions of the arugula salad, but soon realized that this could have been my full lunch! I can't imagine how big the full portion is! It was delicious- filled with a rainbow of tomatoes and grated parm. I will say that it was pretty salty- and that's coming from a girl that loves her salt! We then went ahead and ordered the Colonial pizza. The small size was perfect for sharing! I'm not normally a fan of blue cheese, but the way everything was put together really highlighted the flavors and I found myself hurrying towards the next bite! Another great addition is the apple slices on this pizza. I thought that they would be large, cumbersome slices laid out on top of the pizza for show, but they were actually cut up in bite-sized pieces and baked right into the pizza (under the cheese!). It didn't look impressive, but it was MUCH better this way! I'll definitely be back to try their dinner selection!

Wolfies is a great neighborhood pizza place. You can get fancy and order pasta, but the pizza is where it's at. They have some signature recipes named after local neighborhoods but you can also create your own--and they'll do different toppings on each half for you and your disagreeable date! I recommend the Ivanhoe: Tomato, mozzarella, sausage, brie & sweet peppers--so good! The cocktails are amazing. The caesar salad is great. They have a really great meat and cheese plate too. The service can be hit or miss -- I've ALWAYS had great service, except for that one time where we stood at the door waiting for 10 minutes to be greeted and sat, so we ended up leaving. But I've never had a bad experience like some other reviewers described. I also haven't been when it was crowded either though.

I don't give 5 stars often but when I do, it means I'd return to this place in a heart beat! Intimate, cozy decor, Italian themed, top notch service staff, oh yes, and some of the best pizza I've ever had! The restaurant/atmosphere: This is a change from tourist stops and feels more like local Orlando. Off any main road like I-Drive, this is worth the GPS guiding you to. We arrived late to a vacant restaurant close to closing time, but the server didn't hesitate to get us seated and make us feel welcomed. Equipped with plenty of wine, beer, and cocktails the drink menu offered ample choices as did the dinner menu. Hard not to share a pizza when you can customize the toppings half and & half, but I must note, entrees such as ravioli were hard to pass up and fairly priced. The food/drinks: We shared a large pizza ($20) with a combination of zucchini, spinach, basil and spicy coppa (ham) on his side topped with smoked mozzarella cheese....OMG, the thin crust, delicious toppings...I want more NOW! Per our server, we ordered garlic knots with house made alfredo sauce. If you get nothing else, get the garlic knots ($8/ for 10). Light and airy, freshly made with lots of garlic and a huge portion size, they are worth the indulgence! I can't rave enough of the house made alfredo sauce - it was the best combination of cheese and cream with herbs and pepper. It didn't feel terribly heavy either; a rarity for this type of sauce in most restaurants. My glass of wine was $8; his beer $6. The service: Our server was so pleasant, I wish I remembered her name! She was friendly and attentive (yes, we were the only table, but still). She gave recommendations and always had a smile. I left feeling attended to and full with delicious food - worth going back again!

This is my favorite dinner restaurant in Orlando. Straight up. I LOVE that I can always predict which waiter is working and that every other time I go the chef comes out to check on us. The pizzas are AMAZING and I almost always try the special because it never fails to knock my socks off. Their cured meats......TO DIE FOR. The only detractor is that I wouldn't go with a large party because their staff is small. Go go go.

Came here about two months ago and loved it. Raved to everyone I knew and counted the days until we would return. Unfortunately that day was yesterday and was a big disappointment. There is a new chef and boy you can taste the difference. You can also see the difference in the crowd. First time going it was 6:00 on a Sunday and it was standing room only. Yesterday we went at 7:30 on a SATURDAY and it was dead. Literally we were the only table in there our whole meal. Disappointed because I really love white wolf cafe and wanted to continue to support both establishments but I am in no rush to return.

Loved this place. Went here after visiting the wine/beer bar down the street. It was right before they closed so we had the place to our selves but the service was great and food was fantastic. They let you pick a lot of what you want for the pizza, style sauce, toppings and a lot of things I have never been asked before. Nice wine selection and about 15 beers on the menu. I would highly recommend doing this place and then the wine bar.

It actually pains me to write this review. Chris and I were SUCH fans of Wolfies. We thought we had found our go to pizza place after our first go-to-pizza place went to shambles due to management changes. Last night, for some reason, I had a premonition that getting Wolfie's was not going to be a good idea. Boy, was my gut right. From the minute we called for delivery, everything was chaotic. It had been about 3 weeks since we last indulged in Wolfies. Usually, whoever answers the phone greets pleasantly. Last night, however, my husband called and the woman on the other line was frantic and seemed to not know what was going on. We called to get delivery and the woman stated it would be a $3 surcharge. My husband then asked if they could add that to the bill and pay over the phone. The lady on the other line stated "Oh no, honey. You have to come get it. We don't do delivery anymore." We looked on the website which clearly stated that delivery was available. Color us SO confused. $3 surcharge for what then? Fine. We'll come pick it up. When the pizza finally makes it way back home my husband gives me the look of "its on the list" aka "the list of places we won't go back to." We always recommended Wolfies to anyone who would ask what our favorite pizza place was. The crust was rustic. You know...the type of crust that is flaky and seems like its been baking in a brick oven for hours? NOTICEABLE difference in last nights pizza. The crust looked undercooked and as soon as we picked it up...it was limp. The one thing I will say hasn't changed are the still delicious knots and pig butter. If you're looking for some good knots... this is still a favorite. Sad to say that another amazing pizza place bites the dust.

Food: Hit or miss. I was so excited to try this place because I'd read reviews about their gluten free pizza being good. I'm always looking for tasty gluten free meals. I got the pizza and it might have been okay if it was hot but it was stone cold. To make things worse, they brought my date's food out ten minutes after mine. Service: The worst waiter I've experienced in a very long time. He was rude from the minute we walked in. He asked if we had a reservation and I responded, "No, do we need one?" and he said no but acted like we were putting him out. He never made eye contact or told us about the specials. He didn't even ask us if we wanted something to drink. Even when I tried to get his attention he would purposely walk past us without making eye contact. It was so weird. My date and I started making jokes to enjoy the night despite the horrible service and mediocre meals. Other staff (food runner and delivery guy) were super friendly and made eye contact every time they walked by our table. In fairness, I've only been once so maybe it was an off night but I have no desire to go back. Very disappointing.

Service: marginal and inattentive Salad: plain and uncreative Pizza: Oh the pizza, maybe the best I've ever had? Thin crisp crust, cooked evenly, perfect balance of sauce and topping... It was nearly perfect. Get take out and enjoy!

Mind = blown Chef AJ messaged me after reading my review on Yelp and apologized for the service last time and invited us back to try them out again. We stopped in last night and the experience was exceptional. We ordered the garlic knots as an app with some marinara, which the GF said only half-joking that she could eat straight with a spoon. The knots are baked in-house and they were so good. I had a Veal Saltimbocca which had veal wrapped in prosciutto over homemade pasta with olives and pancetta. I could have licked the plate...The girlfriend got the meat lasagna which the Chef said he bakes 4 times and it was AMAZING. Trust me. It'll be one of the best lasagnas you will ever eat. We finished with the tiramisu and as with everything else in this meal, it was incredible. Chef AJ came to the table and we spoke a few minutes and you can really tell how much pride he takes in the quality of food he is serving. Some of the recipes are takes on old family recipes and some items like the gelato with the slab bacon were creations that were born just by experimenting. Pizzamia has fans for life. I almost want to go back tonight and try the bolognese... The service was outstanding and the food is some of the best Italian that I have had. If you're in the area, stop by soon and if you're not, make plans to come have dinner. It is that good.

I've been here many times & WOULD call it one of Orlando's "gems." I brought a group of 10 in for my birthday expecting the same great food and service I was used to but was severely disappointed. Around late August the joint got a new chef, changed their menu and entire staff. The staff is rude and constantly puts out incorrect food. On my birthday they messed up our pizzas and placed blame on me and my guests were not pleased. I tried the place again tonight but same thing: we ordered the scallops which came out incorrect & the server argued with me that there was no pork on my plate when there was. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye medium and it came out well done. Horrible service and staff who do not care about order time or guest retention. Sadly disappointed and will not be back. Will remember the good days.

So far we've been to Wolfies twice. The first time was absolutely amazing with a server who made for an upscale experience. Our server explained the menu and provided excellent service. The food was great and really made for a novelty pizza experience. We raved about the place and couldn't wait to return. Then last Saturday, we returned with family from out of town and had a horrible experience. The server seemed like she would be a better fit for Denny's. After a long wait, she finally took our drink order, and she never explained the menu or the homemade options. Once our beers finally came, she popped the caps right on our table and brought the wrong beers to two of our guests. We didn't complain. Then, although we ordered two different pizzas, both came exactly alike. When we complained, the server blamed us for the problem (although what she blamed us for was not the only incorrect ingredient on the pizza), and said she would talk to her manager. We are quite sure she never did. In addition, the food quality had declined as well. It no longer seemed like a special pizza. It was just typical. So, we give the place a 3. A five for the first time and a 1 for the second.

Pizzatime! New lovely pizza spot in Ivanhoe Village from the much loved White Wolf Cafe. It's a hop away from there as well, a few doors down. It has the same antique setting with much personality. Love the ambiance and large wood tables and booths. It's a more intimate setting with a few tables. Dine in for lunch or dinner and they deliver now! This may be my new go-to delivery pizza spot when I move into College Park a few streets over. It is not busy during lunch yet so you can stop in here and get seated quickly. I started with the Arugula Salad - Cherry heirloom tomatoes, fresh Parmigiana Regianno, lemon, olive oil & salt & pepper. It was delicious, fresh and started the meal off perfect. I got a half of a serving and it was a good size, check out the pic. We split the The Mills specialty pizza -Tomato, mozzarella, sausage, mushroom, olives & sweet peppers. At first I didn't want olives because I assumed they were black as that is popular at other pizza spots but this is a fresh spot so they let me know they were marinated Kalamata olives... I kept them and they were literally the highlight of the pizza. It added that natural salt flavor the pizza needed. They are thinner pizzas but they don't skimp on the toppings. It was a little sandy on the bottom but the crust was delicious. Overall, great new pizza spot and I can't wait to try their fresh pasta! They also have a nice crafty cocktail menu and they all looked delicious so I will be back soon for sure. Check them out!

I was invited back to Wolfie's by the Executive Chef, Jason Schofield, for dinner and he did not disappoint. The last time I went to Wolfie's, he was out of the country and I could tell a big difference this time around with him tending to the kitchen. We started off with their meatball appetizer, which were hands down the best meatballs I have ever had. Perfectly browned on the outside, moist on the inside and the red sauce they come in was the perfect compliment. Unfortunately, we devoured them in a matter of minutes before I could remember to take a picture of the beautiful dish, so instead there's one of our empty plate. I then moved on to a small caesar salad, which had a wonderful creamy caesar dressing on it and fresh grated parmesan. When it came time for the entree, we made our own pizza. Mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella, parmesan, italian sausage and prosciutto. The crust is thin and on the crispy side, which is the way I like it. It holds up really well and doesn't get soggy from the sauce and cheeses. I'm very picky when it comes to prosciutto, and they have some of the best. I believe they cure their own meats here and the prosciutto is not fatty and has a really great flavor. I don't think you could go wrong with any of their pizzas. We ended our meal with some dessert. I had the tiramisu and my friend had the olive oil gelato with a rosemary, thyme and lemon cookie crisp on the top. The tiramisu was very light and delicate with no ingredient overpowering the other, it was pure heaven. I got to try some of the olive oil gelato which was quite tasty as well. It was very interesting, but in a good way. It was light in flavor with a creamy texture. The cookie was a great compliment. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be returning.
Don't let the name fool you - this place is a fabulous brunch spot! $3 mimosas & bloody Mary's. The menu is amazing - and eggs Benedict is ridiculously good. Also a bonus - get the biscuits and gravy. Share with someone because they're super rich. Large groups might be an issue ..they took a lot longer for food to 3 of our table. The rating I gave is just based on that.

Got one of the amazon local deals for this place. I made reservations for 9pm on a Friday night for a party of 3. Got there on time but no tables were open. Decided to grab a beer at The Imperial while things slowed down at Wolfies. Headed back an hour later and was seated right away. The servers are very sweet and eager to please. The restaurant is very cozy and dimly lit. There is a very relaxed environment here which makes it easy to lose track of time and just want to stay a while (which I suspect is the reason why the tables were not clearing out as quick as anticipated). My table had the salumi platter which was excellent. The platter comes with cured meats, pickled veggies, olives and bread They cure all their own meats! We also had one of the specialty pizzas that has the dry salted beef and loved that too. However, I did find the pizza was a little too heavily cheesed which made it not as crisp as I prefer. The list of craft cocktails is impressive. I ordered the gin joint and it was phenomenal! Aside from the delicious pizzas, they offer salads, soup, pasta, panini and desserts. This is a great place so please check it out.

Two visits and I have to recommend this place. I've seen bad service remarks in other reviews but on our two Friday night visits the service has been spot on. As they advertise they cure their own meets. They're not as good as Ravenous Pig's offerings but they also don't cost an arm and a leg. If I lived closer I could see me stopping pretty often to chow down on the charcuterie plate. The wine list is pretty cool and well organized and most importantly it's designed for the food they serve. The pizza is really the star here. If the pie on the last visit was as good as the first time this would be 5 stars. It was really, really good the second visit....it was mind blowing the first visit. Hand tossed crust, top quality ingredients and unique pairings. I do wish it was a wood fired oven but Florida isn't real big on those anyway. Wish it was closer but we'll we back!

Awesome pizza. Best in Orlando. I live right in the neighborhood and it takes about 35 minutes for a delivery to get to my place. Don't let that put you off though. It's worth the wait. Just start your movie, hit "pause" when you hear the doorbell, pay and enjoy. The Mills and The College Park are my favorites so far. Not too cheesy, the sauce is delicious and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. The crust is thin (I'm not a fan of thicker crust pizza) and quite tasty. No "dipping" sauces are needed.

The place has changed a bit since last time I came earlier in the year. The decor is mostly the same, but they changed some of the seating from high tops, to regular height tables. I noticed the portions for the food ordered were about twice the size as before. This was good, because I felt I didn't get enough food in the past. I had the Carbonara, which for Wolfies, is a perfect dish, since they cure their own meats. This looked pretty authentic. They placed a semi-cooked egg on top of it, which I've only seen 2 other instances. One was at the now closed Lagos and the other is from my mom, who's Sicilian. The taste was good and the only complaint I had, is it was a bit salty for me. I don't know if it was just the cured pork that was salty, but I felt like they added extra salt to it too. This is again a problem I have with many Italian style restaurants and the cooks decision to add too much salt. If your customers want their food salty, they can just add it in themselves. Among 4 of us, we shared a large salad. The salad was actually larger than I expected and could have fed at least 6 people. I think I had about 3 helpings of it. It was a good deal and I'll give it about 4 stars for taste, only because it was a bit too tangy for me. I also had their autumn cocktail. It was good, but could have used a bit less sours for me. Maybe my taste bugs just can't handle tangy and sour anymore. Service was OK. The server was kind of nice. I say kind of, because I think she might have been having a bad day. When we got our large salad, it came with no serving utensils. When I asked her for a serving spoon, she acted as if it was a weird question and I felt like she reluctantly gave it to us. I didn't have time for dessert, as we were going to see A Christmas Carol at the Theater Downtown. I hope to try one next time.

Can you say "shit show" on yelp? This place on a Saturday had 3 "servers", one of whom didn't do anything but occasionally make cocktails. He's apparently the bar tender for 3 restaurants. No busboy. Tables sitting dirty for 10-20 minutes. I ordered a gin and tonic and the bar tender had to run next door for gin when the bar has freakin' Frangelico at it (cause way more cocktails have Frangelico than gin, apparently). Servers who don't bother writing down orders on large patty tables, Get confused about what goes where, etc. as a former restaurant worker, watching people do stupid shit is really annoying and this one is probably one of the worst I've seen for inefficiency and thoughtlessness by the serving staff. Look, doing food service isn't curing cancer; I'm willing to wink at problems and issues when they arise and are beyond the servers control. But doing basic stuff like carrying s tray and writing down orders and not making single trips for single items goes a long way. Telling the customer to go look at the wine to pick out the kind they want, without having either a list or any indication of cost on the menu, is just evidence of poor management. The food itself was actually pretty good, but this is yet another shittily managed White Wolf property where servers are bad and management is nonexistent and everything suffers as a result. It's a shame. I would only recommend take out from this place because the only staff that can be trusted not to muck up your order is the kitchen. 2 stars, one for ambience/decor, one for not making me sad with the food. Everything else was s giant fail.

Great meal from front to back. The Pig Butter is heavenly goodness that spaces you out proper. mmmm, pork fat. We had the Salumi platter, meatball appetizer, and malfatti. There are five cured meats on the Salumi platter, and they all have a deliciously distinct flavor. The platter is served with the Pig Butter, an apricot compote, pickled sweety drop miniature peppers, olives, and arugula salad with almonds. The two gigantic meatballs are made with care and are worth the $10 price tag. The malfatti is delicious, and their blandness was a nice alternative to the pickled, tangy, and cured items on the table. For our entree we enjoyed a pizza; the crust is on the thinner side, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. All this food and a bottle of table Chianti came to $75.00. Service was perfect considering we were the only table in the place at 4:30 P.M. on a Saturday. The servers were available, but not asking us every few minutes, "is everything all right?" We loved our first meal here, and we will definitely be back. We were told Wolfies' has been open for about a year now, and they have a new chef who started in Sept. 2013. Nice work chef!

Wolfies is a great upscale pizza place that used to be part of White Wolf Cafe. I finally made it there for dinner and had a delicious salad and a really great pizza with a bunch of friends. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was very attentive, and I overall had a great meal.

Went here for the first time on a Saturday night with a couple of friends who have gone before. Half of our party was already there and ordered an appetizer and drinks by the time I arrived with the other half. We waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to come by to drop off the Garlic Knots but didn't acknowledge our presence and didn't take our drink orders. Another 10 minutes goes by before she comes to take our order. She seem rather flustered and was not that friendly at all. A friend ordered a Calzone and asked how many ingredients he can add and to which she replies "you can add a few before they start charging you for extras." Okay...He just ordered hoping he didn't reach this mysterious number and be charged for additional toppings. So after we all order, it takes a couple minutes for us to receive our drinks and even after writing down everything, she still manages to forget some of them! After 15 minutes of waiting for our food (party of 5), nothing. 25 minutes goes by, nothing. Nearly an hour after waiting, we receive our food. The place was not packed (yeah there was a big party but they seem to have received their foods by the time we ordered). The food wasn't amazing by any means. It definitely was not worth the wait. I ordered a calzone and it was not amazing, it was a bit warm and the bread was soggy. I did not want to send it back because who knows how long it would take to receive it again and I was starving at this point. A friend ordered a cup of soup and he was not given a spoon so he had to drink it because the waitress was no where to be found. But when it was time for the checks, boy was she quick on that! Overall the service was not the best and the food was average. I doubt I would come back again.

Love this spot, the food is great. They gotta get more help though. The waitresses bus, take orders, make mixed drinks, and run food. Things take longer and it gets done, but they only have a sec to talk to u until they gotta run to go do something else. Don't get me wrong, they are super nice and friendly. The overall experience ends up suffering though.

We've been here once and are trying it again tonight. The place is cute and the menu has a nice selection. We had several appetizers and two different pizzas, and all of it was good. The service was nice but, well, dingy is the only word I can use to describe it. A woman brought us a cocktail and held it out to all four of us with a quizzical look; we asked her what it was and she didn't know: "they just told me to bring it over." We ordered an appetizer with asparagus and artichokes but the waitress ordered something with cauliflower instead because she said she got asparagus and cauliflower confused. Everyone was very nice, just not very on the ball or informed. But the food was good and not overpriced and we are looking forward to trying it again. Also the noise level was good in there; even with a large party next to us we had no trouble hearing each other. Addition: I want to follow up and note that we have been back twice and both times the service was much better than the first time, so maybe they are ironing that out. The food has been consistently good each time and we will definitely try to eat here regularly. Favorite cocktail: Sweet Summer Rain.

The first time I ate here the place was amazing!!! Well I just called to order a togo pizza and pasta because their online information says they are open until 10pm. I was greeted by a rather rushed girl who said oh the kitchen is closed as we close at 8pm on Sundays.... well when I called it was 7:28 if you close at 8 why couldn't I order my food? You should change your information on the website for starters and don't hang up when you are still open for at least 30 more minutes way to blow off a customer and make sure I remember not to rush back. Sucks because even though the food takes forever to make it is really good. Per their website: (407) 237-0921 Stop in and see us for Brunch!! Served on Sunday from 10am-3pm Hours of Operation: Mon Closed Tues- Thurs 4pm to 10pm Fri 4pm to 11pm Sat 4pm to 11pm Sun Brunch 10-3 / night until 10pm DELIVERY 4pm-10pm Tuesday - Sunday!!! Full menu now being served on Sundays from 4:30-10 pm!

This is my go-to pizza place! From the food, to the drinks and atmosphere I can't say enough. They cure their meats in house and have a list of cretive handmade drinks which are all worth the wait. My favorite drink is the Basil Gin Rickey, which has a refreshing basil and cucumber taste and is served in a cute mason jar. The white wolf is a dangerously yummy mix of cinnmon and moonshine. I definitely recommend starting with the garlic knots and having them tossed with pig butter; not too greasy or buttery, just adds the perfect layer of decadence. Don't miss out on their meatballs either! The appetizer comes with two of the most delicious beef/pork/veal meatballs, topped with a homemade sauce and shaved cheeses. I usually also build my own pizza of mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella, spicy italian sausage, proscuitto and fresh basil which comes on a thin crust. If you still have room, they offer a number of desserts such as my favorite zeppoles which is served with a generous portion of chocolate dipping sauce. The foods I listed are my staple order (which is enough to share with another person and always have pizza leftover), but they offer a number of rotating dinner specials which all sound amazing! On Sunday mornings they offer a completely different brunch menu with $3 drink specials. I have always had fantastic service here and have used their delivery service as well, which was very quick. It is a smaller space inside and they recently rearranged their furniture, creating more individual booths and building an actual bar. The decor has a very warm and homey feeling with lots of wood, dim lighting and stained glass. I have heard rumors that they will be knocking down a wall and expanding into the space next door which would be awesome!

I suppose it can be argued that I give out too many five star reviews but there are few places that deserve it more than Wolfies. Stopped in tonight after a matinee at Theatre Downtown and order two pizzas to go. I will not attempt to pronounce -- or even recall -- the names of the pies that I ordered but I will never forget the explosion of flavor when I got home and tried them. I ordered a mozzarella, tomato and vegetable pizza and the flavors were a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Loaded with zucchini, summer squash and mushrooms, that pie is well worth the damage to my arteries and pancreas! For my son, I brought home a mozzarella, tomato and prosciutto pie. He devoured it and raved about the crust, and the flavor. I checked out the brunch menu while I was there and will be trying that very soon, Interior is welcoming and reminds me of a late 19th century saloon. For anyone who has been to Boston and had the good sense to visit Doyle's in Jamaica Plain -- that is the vibe.

One of, if not the best pizza in Orlando. Pizza is the star here but all of their other food has been fantastic as well. They cure their own meat here and it is fantastic. The meatballs are a great way to start any meal you have here and the red sauce is perfectly executed. Food isn't the only thing they make from scratch here though as all the drinks are fresh made as well. They take a little bit of time to make but they are worth it. They have some staples but things rotate every once in a while with the seasons and they've always been great.

Wolfies quickly became my favorite pizza spot in Orlando. The pizza is always amazing, but the terrible service is enough to make me give it up. Each of my dining experiences have resulted in an excessively long wait in a very cramped space. How are you so busy with 5 tables and 3 servers that it takes 20mins to take my order? Talk about dinner and a show...watching the staff is like waiting for the girl to trip and fall in the scary movie. Because the pizza is delicious we did try ordering ahead for delivery as is listed on the website, however is not actually available. When calling for pick up I would have to call multiple times before someone would answer and typically could not tell me the days specials. Amazing pizza but way too much effort. I'll settle for mediocrity acquainted with good service.

This used to be my favorite place in town to get pizza. Everything was fresh and handmade including the pizza crust. Now it is all like store bought crap. Everything that was amazing seems to have left. We ordered delivery a few weeks ago and were surprised and disappointed in what was delivered but chalked it up to having food delivered. So we thought we'd give their food another shot in the restaurant. So disappointed. Subpar service, garlic knots out of a can, pizza crust out of box. They even managed to somehow water down their Alfredo sauce! It is such a shame. I bragged about their food to so many people and now we will not be coming back here. Sad.

We both loved the restaurant which although small was really warm, friendly and cozy even on a really rainy night (which is why we were able to get a table on a Saturday night). The service was incredible; our waitress was very knowledgable and personable. I tried a Gin & Sin and it was heavenly. We adored the pickled veggies and we had malfatti as an appetizer. Although a tiny dish - those cheesy dumplings were scrumptious. We ordered half the pizza with the bechanel sauce & half with tomato sauce and with a selection of their hand-cured and incredibly awesome meats. I love crispy pizza with hardly any sauce so I was thrilled. He prefers pizza dripping in sauce and cheesy goodness so he felt it underachieved. We both want to come back and try other dishes but if you like sauce, make sure to double up. The cocktails were amazing!
My lunch choice today was an iced hazelnut latte and French toast. It was excellent, and a fantastic option given to me by one of the waiters. I really enjoyed it. Most definitely will be back for more!! Highly recommend coming here.

Fantastic Pizza! Great cocktails. Salads are nice. Love this place. it is fairly small and can get busy fast so maybe a reservation is in order. I think it's the best pizza in Orlando. Haven't had the much of the entrees for dinner but they look good. Apricot pork chops and crusted ribeye look great. They also have mussels and chiopinno have to go back. Wish I lived a little closer

Edit: Prior to posting this, I emailed the exact text of this review to the customer service email listed on Wolfies website. I got a response a few days later asking me about my experience, telling me that they would be creating a gift card for me for the amount of the purchase plus $30 to comp my existing meal as well as a future meal at a later time. I never received that gift card, as well as never heard back when I reached back out to the owner. Well, I wasn't even expecting a gift card in the first place, more like an apology. I was still very disappointed in the way that it was handled. also, if you want to eat there, you may want to rethink that because of their service, attitude, and lack of care for the customer. While I have been to Wolfies multiple times, as I live in the area, I have never had great service. Tonight however, took the cake. After ordering for take-out and being quoted 25 minutes for a single pizza and an appetizer, we arrived on time and ready to pick up our dinner. We were told it would be a few minutes because they were short in the kitchen and offered some ice water. 45 MINUTES LATER and after multiple queries, we received our order. We looked it over, and I noticed we were missing an additional sauce I had ordered for the pizza, which they charged us $1 for.. I asked politely for it and the gentleman asked the person in the kitchen for it. He then informed me that someone made an error and I would be charged the $1 plus tax and it would be a few more minutes. After waiting an hour for a pizza that was cold when we got home (2 blocks away) and being told that we would be charged $1 for someone else's mistake, I don't know if we will be returning. Wolfies, don't be dumb, charging someone who just waited an hour for a PIZZA and GARLIC KNOTS a dollar for a sauce! That's the way you get people to not come back for more...

Having purchased the Travelzoo voucher ($25 for $50), it was high time we checked out Wolfies! The decor is what you'd expect from the masterminds behind White Wolf Cafe: antiques galore. The space is cozy and fits perfectly on the strip of Ivanhoe alongside the original. The highlight had to be the hanging meats over the bar. It really sends home the point that they do EVERYTHING (including curing their own meat) in-house. As expected, the food was phenomenal. Our appetizers of the meatballs (great blend of pork and beef that fell apart with a fork) and the garlic knots were fresh and unlike anything you'd find at your local pizza joint (chain or otherwise). We chose The Wolfies (Tomatoes/Mozzerella/Fennel/Dried Beef/Blue Cheese) and I can't think of a single thing to nitpick about. The blue cheese gave a different bite to the flavor, while the crust was crispy, but not cardboard. There wasn't too much of any one topping, but it also wasn't lacking any. Light and delicious! The service was tremendous. While the restaurant was slow (it's a ghost town on Sunday afternoon), our server was very attentive and was very much dedicated to us having a great time, recommending drinks & pies. She was also up-front about the "limited" menu (one cook at the time), which was much appreciated. I'll happily bump this to a five-star once I try a few more things out! Definitely find time to check this place out, if you're a fan of good pizza and a cool atmosphere.

Was on our to go to White Wolf but they were closed for a private party so went to Wolfies instead. It was our first time there. The place was nearly empty so we weren't sure if they were open but they certainly were. We were greeted promptly by a server who emerged from the back and seated us in a booth next to a window. There was another couple who literally walked in minutes before us and they too were seated in a booth by the window. I'm assuming they do this to let other people walking/driving by that they are open. It was probably around 8:30-8:45pm when we arrived. Anyways, we were starving and everything on the menu looked good. We opted for the meatball appetizer, a small caesar salad and the server recommended the pork belly pizza. We couldn't decide between a pizza, stromboli, or the bolognese but the server recommended the pork belly pizza and we are so glad we went with it. The caesar salad came out first and for a small it was large enough to split between 2 girls. The salad was fresh, cut in nice small pieces, topped with lots of shaved parmesan, homemade crunchy croutons, and dressed perfectly. Not too soggy or dry. Then, the meatballs came out and they too were also delicious. They were 2 large meatballs, cooked perfectly, nice and moist and sitting in a bowl of red sauce that tasted delicious when topped with it. My favorite meatballs are from Prato so I judge every other meatball by theirs. This was not as good as Prato's but pretty close! If Prato meatballs are a 10, these are an 8. I would definitely get them again. They also come with two slices of thinly sliced crusty bread perfect for dipping in the red sauce. However, we did not try it since we were going to have pizza and were limiting our carb intake to watch our girly figures. The main event was the pork belly pizza and it truly lived up to the server's hype. It was unlike any other pizza I had tasted before and down right delicious. The pork belly was thinly sliced and it was accompanied with artichokes, roasted red peppers, shaved parmesan, arugula, tomatoes, and drizzled with a thick balsamic sauce. My friend and I were very impressed with the food and service. Will definitely come back again and highly recommend. Also, by the time we left, the dining room was nearly full. I guess it was just a late dinner for everyone in that area.

We ordered 2 18" pizzas for carry out last night - the Ivanhoe and the Diavola. We were told they'd be ready in 20 minutes but ended up having to wait another 10 when we got there - the wait staff was cordial but not overly friendly by offering us a seat or glass of water while we waited which I would have expected. Both pizzas were tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The crust was a little chewy on both pies which impacts my rating for this trip. Because they are new we will try them again and hopefully be able to rate them higher.

Food was good but our server had a very poor attitude and was extremely slow. However, the manager did come out and say they are working to improve their service. I would wait to visit this place until that happens;)
Eah. I have little good to say. Wasn't bad but wasn't great. Too many other good places to eat.

We came in with the TravelZoo deal. Pretty good service and great food in summary. They were out of several beers and the wine selection was not great. The meatballs were large and flavorful. The best part was their delicious homemade marinara sauce. The salumi platter was delish with a great selection of meats. We ordered the 18" BURANO MOZZ (Proscruitto di Wolf, Arugula salad, and goat cheese) and added tomatoes. It was delicious. The quality of ingredients was very high. We thoroughly enjoyed it and had enough pizza to eat for two days.

When this place first opened I was excited - fresh ingredients and a pizza place nearby. I was even more excited when they offered gluten free pizza. The last coupe of experiences I've had have changed my excitement. We called for delivery last Friday to be told they no longer deliver - so we did carry out. Upon arrival our pizza took 15 more minutes to come out and once we got home (very close by) both of our pizzas were cold and there was no freshness to taste! Very disappointed especially since my first experiences were so positive -

Rude Service/Manager 3 tables got there after us and got their meals before we got our appetizers. When we mentioned that, the manager said he didn't care.....We told him we would pay for our drinks (that took a while to also get) and he said don't worry about it, just leave! We left and will never go back.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

(4)Tommy B.

The good was amazing. Service was slow due to the kitchen being understaffed but the staff totally made up for it!
(4)Kristy M.
(2)Liz E.
I was so excited to visit here that I figured I would invariably be disappointed - but it was not so! Absolutely amazing. Fresh, tasty ingredients, thin crust pizza and a beautiful atmosphere.
(5)Blanca B.
(1)Jodi Z.

(2)Zen M.

After being terribly disappointed by another local pizza restaurant, we decided to try Pizzamia. David provided excellent service and the pizza was really packed with flavor! We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Great Pizza and Great Service! The College Park Pizza was not your typical pizza and yet Fantastic!

There's a lot to love here. I was a big fan of the garlic knots, but then it's hard for me NOT to enjoy garlic knots. That's not to take anything away from theirs though, they were really good. The pizza was fantastic. Lots of interesting options to try, and the pizza wasn't too heavy on the cheese (or grease) so it allowed much of the flavor of the toppings to shine through. It's a small, intimate-but-comfortable dining area with a unique look. It was a packed house when we arrived for dinner, and with the tables necessarily so close together, it was interesting to watch the conversations expand beyond the tables they started at (two-person table #1 mentions "back in Portland", adjacent table #2 chimes in, "Did you say Portland? We lived there for 15 years! and the conversation between the tables continues, etc.). It happened to us, too, when another couple sat down next to our table. It's easy to talk to people when your tables are so close that you could be in the same party and no one would know the difference. The drink menu is really nice as well, high quality cocktails well above and beyond the unimaginative crap that passes for "specialty cocktails" in most places. I noticed that the drink menu isn't available on the website, I'm not sure if it's because it changes too often, or if they didn't think it was necessary. Either way, I hope they reconsider -- it's something to be proud of, and you should be showing it off at every opportunity. So to wrap it up with one of the most common Yelp clichés (just under the phrase "hands down"), "I can't wait to come back!"

My girlfriends and I went to wolfies for happy hour the other night, it was a great overall experience! I love how they had specialty cocktails, the food was good and the service was great... She was very helpful and she always had a big smile on her face!We will definitely come here again!!!

My fiancé and I were planning on having our wedding reception here. Planning the wedding from out of state we were relying on online reviews, which was not easy. The location was close to the ceremony site and it looked to have good reviews, but things did not end up working out as planned. Around 10 months before the wedding I started contacting the manager of this restaurant to gain more information about having our reception here. The manager and I had many (at least 15) conversations via email and over the phone planning our event. We had disused all the details for the event and had thought that after we had our final guest count we would be set to hold our event here. We had even sent out invites with this location on them. About 6 months before the wedding I called to discuss the final details and contract for our event with the manager. When he answered he had NO recollection of who I was or our wedding reception dinner. I was so upset that he would treat a customer this way and could no longer count on him to follow through with our reception dinner.

My lunch choice today was an iced hazelnut latte and French toast. It was excellent, and a fantastic option given to me by one of the waiters. I really enjoyed it. Most definitely will be back for more!! Highly recommend coming here.

Did you know that if you live within 2 miles of Pizza Mia you can have them deliver to your home! Gourmet Pizzas and food delivery!! Amazing!

I have been to Wolfies twice and ordered for pick up a couple times as well. I do believe that this place is a gem. A restaurant you want in your town. I am very happy that my first experience there was a wonderful experience. My fiancé and I happened to run into one of the chefs while out and about. Told us about all the must haves, what is so special about the food they serve, and a deal they had on TravelZoo. Our server that night was also very knowledgable and attentive. With that deal we tried each of the appetizers. All were wonderful! I was amazed by the Alfredo sauce with the garlic knots. Now garlic knots are garlic knots and they are delicious. I am not usually a fan of Alfredo, but this sauce was just so cheesy and good. It changed the way I feel about Alfredo. The meatballs were phenomenal. They tasted like the real deal and reminded me of the meatballs I have loved to experience from a Sicilian kitchen. The Salumi Platter is a must. Since this restaurant cures their own meat this appetizer gives you a taste of what they do best here. The prosciutto...just yes. The Malfatti are these cheese dumplings they are delicious, and I wished I had more when they were gone. We also got The Wolfies pizza and the Verdure Miste. Both were wonderful, but every time my fiancé and I order pizza we have to at least get the Verdure Miste! The pizza crust is a thin hand tossed dough that is so crisp and so chewy. Again it reminded me of a Sicilian style I have known and loved (I have no idea if they were going for that but this is no New York vs Chicago style place...this reminds me of an authentic Italian experience). Every pizza I have had does a great job with flavor pairing, but the Verdure Miste is so light and fresh we can't deny (which is pretty amazing because my fiancé is a meat lover). We have been meaning to try the Tiramisu, but we usually fill up before we make it to dessert. I have heard great things about it. Our second time there our server seemed pretty green and often said, "I don't know...I'm not sure...let me check," and forget to ever get back to our questioned. I'm glad the first experience went so well, because we will keep coming back for more.
