Food was fast and good, waitress was nice. We've stopped in this Waffle House a few times and it's always consistent, pretty much what you'd expect from any Waffle House chain restaurant.

Walked in right before 10am, place was packed. I think someone welcomed us with a quick hi, but that was about it. We found a place to sit along the wall to wait but none of the servers were saying anything so we had no clue how long the wait for a table might be. After waiting a bit, 2 gentlemen walked in and one of the servers greeted them cheerfully by saying they would have a booth for them in just a few minutes. Are you kidding me??? And we are what... invisible??? I'll tell you what we are: LEAVING. We are leaving. I quickly looked around and nobody had food in front of them, nothing seemed to be coming out of the kitchen... I have no clue what is going on and we decided not to stick around and find out. Normally I would have reserved star judgement until a later time when I could have at least sampled the food, but I'm just so upset that I have decided to drop the review now. So sorry it's a bad one, guess you'll have to sit over there and wait until I get around to updating it, I'll be sure to do that in as timely of a manner as you served me.

Okay... I have been a Waffle House virgin for years! This was my first visit to one and I have to say it was not as bad as I had heard. I have heard horror stories for years about people eating at a Waffle House and then getting sick... I even read a review about them in a men's magazine that was doing reviews of breakfast places. They did not say it was horrible but said it was basic... and their hash browns were the reason to go there. Well, my room mate and I decided to try it since it was right next to the car service place that was fixing our car. It was about 10 am on a friday morning and it was busy. We spied a booth that had just opened up and grabbed it. Our server named Sonya was very nice and very quick! We told her we had never been to one before and she took the time to explain the menu. I ordered a basic breakfast doing an al-a-cart method... eggs over med, bacon, hash browns 'smothered' (with cheese) grits and wheat toast. My room mate ordered the chili eggs with hash browns "loaded' (with ham). We waited about 5 min and bang!... The food came out. I expected to wait a lot longer but they were quick. It all tasted great and it actually reminded us of eating at a good northeast diner... something we really don't have here in Florida. The check came to about 20 bucks and it was no more expensive than going to a cracker barrel or an IHop. The place was clean and I did not see any of the dirt some other reviewers mentioned. In fact, I mentioned to my room mate that they were constantly cleaning the tables and counters. It had a mix of customers and that itself is part of the show for me! I am sure each Waffle House has its own challenges but for us, this one was fine and we will be going back again to make sure it was not a fluke! By the time we left (20 min after arriving) the breakfast rush was over and it was about half empty. I would love to see this place at 2 am. ;-) I can totally recommend this place for a quick and tasty breakfast. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was due to my eggs. I ordered over medium and they came out over soft. Picky... yes... but I don't like runny eggs this was a bit runny. Otherwise, everything else was good. Enjoy!

I cannot believe I walked into the WH without my sanitizer. It's like a staple I make sure to have with me at all times. . .especially at moments like this one. When you need to wash your hands, but you're afraid of what's lurking in the restroom. Besides, my sanitizer is in the same bag as my toilet seat covers, so bathroom was just out this visit. One couple next to me apparently had similar thoughts as mine--they asked for boiling hot water to soak their utensils because they had no plastic ware. Despite all this, I was hungry and figured people all over the world eat in all kinds of unsanitary situations and live to tell. I'm just looking like crazy for the health department rating in this place and I see none. In fact, I haven't found any ratings since I moved to Orlando. Where do they keep this vital documentation in restaurants?

I ordered the All-Star Meal (2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, bacon or 2 sausage [I had the bacon], 1 waffle, and grits) with OJ of course ,my husband ordered the texas bacon cheesteak and my daughter had the cheese buscuit with eggs and sausauge. Besides the long wait and the slow servers the food was great! Never in my life I tasted a waffle so good! for all this our bill came out to only 25 bucks! can't beat that!

The waffle equivalent to IHOP? Not exactly. Apparently this chain is famous for their hash but we did not know that so did not order it. We decided to try it for breakfast one day since we had seen so many while driving around Georgia and Florida. I ordered the All-Star Meal (2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, bacon or 2 sausage [I had the sausage], 1 waffle, and grits) and my husband had the Texas Bacon Sandwich (or something like that). We were sitting in the seats right near the cooks. We didn't pay much attention until our food came then we started to watch the 1 cook cooking. She would put a frozen meat patty on the grill, crack some eggs with her bare hands, take some bread and put it in the toaster, finish cooking the stuff on the stove, and then take the toasted bread out of the toaster and place it on the serving plate. All without ever wiping or washing her hands. It was rather disgusting after we thought about it but we already finished eating. This may not be the case for all Waffle House restaurants so even though the waffles were good (not sure about the hash), I wouldn't eat here unless you have a strong stomach (for bacteria and grease).
