Amazing! Im visiting from california land of roscoes chicken and waffles and bruxie. I like to think those are great references for a waffles. I loved everything here. It all started with the hash browns. Options! Grilled onions, fravey, jalapeños and more. Another plus the food is made to order right out in the dining area. No hidden kitchen in the back here. Lastly the waffles. I thought they were amazing. Fluffy and satisfying without being covered in butter or drenched in syrup. We couldnt finish our food and took the left overs. They were a great late night snack and even breakfast snack. Everything held up and tastes great cold and reheated.

There were sugar ants on our table. Now that the worst bit of the review is out of the way, let me say that we have been going here for years. My husband LOVES Waffle House. And really, it is good fun for people-watching and the food is decent. Our recent visit will probably be my last. I am sure my husband will go back, but probably without me. Service was not good, even by Waffle House standards. My husband's hash browns had onion, which he didn't order and in particular doesn't like, so we had to ask for a replacement. While waiting we overheard another customer who had unintentionally received onions. Onions were just running wild in the kitchen that day. Our server was nice but not very attentive. She forgot to bring water which we requested and wasn't on top of coffee refills. We had to ask for coffee, and then she refilled only one of our cups. And finally, there was the ant problem. We were in one of the booths next to the window and there were a lot of ants. I did a decent job of defending my food from the ants, but really. That's just awful. When we were leaving I mentioned the ant problem to the host who just shrugged at me. (The host in question reminds me of Edgar the bug guy from Men In Black, about that much personality.) Hopefully they get the ant situation resolved soon, but overall I don't have very high hopes for this Waffle House to improve.

This particular Waffle House is like my home away from home so writing this particular update is pretty painful because lately I have seen things taking place that are really concerning. Earlier in the week I showed up at 8:30 am to have a talk with the store manager about something HE takes VERY serious. FOOD SAFETY One of the employees did something that if the the store manager had witnessed it would have not been pretty. Sometimes the staff forgets that they are on video. I suspect that the employee had a firm talking to by the looks I get from him now. Well tonight was the first time I left that store with a full cup of coffee and not saying good night to everybody in over 6 years... Why??? Very simple... ONE of the servers thought that everybody around her wanted to hear distorted noise from a movie she was watching. She was sprawled across the counter with her phone propped up watching a movie. We were about 15 feet away and all you could hear was distorted noise and it was VERY VERY ANNOYING. If you are going to goof off at work, PUT IN YOUR EAR BUDS so you do not disturb the people PAYING to come to that store! I was trying to stay cool but my wife was annoyed and ready to go. One of the cooks finally turned on the Jukebox and she STILL kept blaring that noise so that was enough for us. CHECK PLEASE!!! You expect behavior from drunk customers but NOT FROM THE STAFF! If this keeps up, I may have to take a break from Waffle House and start spending my money at the Denny's just up the road where the manager does NOT tolerate stuff like this in HER store!!!

This Waffle House is always super busy. They usually have an employee standing out front taking names and working as a hostess. On this day we visited; however, there was no such person. People were walking in and sitting before people who had been waiting. When we told the employees, they shrugged and said first come; first serve. I would like to give them four stars, but their rude employees on this day keeps me from it. Positive side: Food was fast, hot, and delicious. Waitress had to be asked for refills, however.

If you're looking for a fancy breakfast place, this is definitely not it! The employees are loud and the actual restaurant is so small that you're pretty much sitting right in the kitchen. However, I've never personally had an issue at this location and they provide pretty decent cheap eats. I love the cheese n eggs plate with the raisin toast, hash browns & bacon. My husband always gets the waffles and they're pretty good, nothing spectacular, but definitely not bad. We always used to come here back in 2010 when we were dating & it doesn't seem like anything has really changed. In my experience, there is usually a wait, but I believe that is due to the popularity of this location and the fact that it is small. On this most recent visit, Teena was our server, and although she was really busy cooking, she seemed very sweet.

This location is one of my favorites to visit. You never know what you're going to get! They are some interesting people that not only work here but who are also patrons. I usually eat here for breakfast and when I go later in the day, I still order breakfast. They use all fresh ingredients including real eggs! Most places use a liquid egg product. My favorite meal that I get is the Cheese and Eggs. It comes with 2 eggs, choice of meat (bacon or sausage), grits or hash browns and raisin toast with apple butter! Yummy! I have to give props to the wait staff because what appears to be somewhat of chaos is normal to them and your order comes out fresh and fast. Try sitting at the counter. You get the best view of what's happening. I still can't figure out how they call out their orders and the cooks know what to do. It's truly an organized yelling match...lol! Oh and don't forget the sweet tea! It's pretty darn good! And yes it may put you in a sugar coma but it's only for a couple of hours :-)

What can I say... you love the Waffle House or Hate it... I'm a lover of it! It is your Quintessential greasy spoon serving up all of the usual diner dishes with a pleasant and slightly less refined wait staff who posses just the right amount os sassy attitude. The welcome everyone from the biker to business suit crowd and everything in between... Go eat there, you'll like it!

I love this place as much as the next person. Food is always exceptional. The only complaint I have is the place always seems, dirty? There isn't one time that I do not have to wait for someone to come and clean the table either before I sit down or while I'm sitting there. Which is hard with a two year old daughter who wants to touch everything they see. Other than that, no complaints. Staff is friendly and patient. I will be returning!

This WH is different from any other WH I have ever visited. The cast of characters I usually see--granny, ex con, single moms, and everyone else that must be cousins--seemed to be recast with college kids. Besides that, everything is just like any other WH. Busy, loud, with a lot of food. I enjoyed my meal as I was super hungry, but was disappointed because my grits were lukewarm and not nearly hot enough. I asked for them to be warmed, but was told no microwave is on the premises, so they gave me a new order. This time my grits had steam coming from it. I always gravitate to WH for breakfast because it's good, cheap, quick, and always an adventure.

Yum this place is very good and fresh so you know they don't do anything too your food because your watching a tip employees make sure you wash your hands when cooking my food thanks!
If there was a food heaven, then I think Waffle House would be my choice. I have loved Waffle House ever since I was a kid and I still love it to this very day. Their waffles are just the best on the planet!!!!! I know the recipe is very simple, just like you make at home, but whenever they make it, the taste just makes me melt into a place that is beyond euphoria. This particular establishment is close to my apt, which is awesome and that they offer a variety of things to eat. I like how the Waffle House has changed their menu to be more healthy, which makes me really proud customer. The employees are very nice and willing to serve at a moments notice. I usually go at times when its not crowded (late evening or the random time) that way I wont have to wait long. I havent been on a Saturday morning, but I assume it will be crowded given that it is near UCF. Another positive about this place is that whenever I come in it smells so freaking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I love the smell of their freshly made food from the waffles to the steak. I wish I could sit in there and just smelll all day because thats how great it is. Needless to say I will be regular at this Waffle House and any other Waffle House in the USA.

This is our usual Sunday spot for breakfast. What can be said about WH that hasn't already been said? There are hardly ever any surprises with WH. The food is cooked right in front of you so there is never any funny business. Nothing is sitting in a warmer and just heated up after someone orders it. You order bacon, they go to the fridge, get the bacon and cook it on the flat top, plate it and give it to you. You order a waffle, the batter goes on the iron, and in about 3 minutes it is on a plate and on its way to your table. Do they try to impress you with any fancy offerings or some kind of seasonal ever changing menu? No. But I think that is part of the beauty of WH. You go there knowing what you want and knowing what you are going to get.

I really like the Waffles here. But I just Left this place because we found a finger length piece of unknown plastic in our grits. Waitress said it came from the packaging and proceeded to get us another plate. That was enough for us to lose our Waffle House appetite and decided to head to Keke's instead

The tiles that make up the iconic Waffle House sign remind me of Scrabble or, more au courant, Words with Friends. It speaks to me and says "Come here and have Waffles with Friends". And so a surprise trip to Orlando found us doing just that, having waffles and other assorted breakfast items at the nearest Waffle House. For those staying in the UCF area at the Radisson, you can literally walk around the corner to this establishment. You'll enter a small interior bustling with activity and be greeted by a friendly host and may even have the entire staff yell out "Good morning!" to you. There was a wait both days for breakfast but the line moved quickly. I enjoyed being part of a human first in-first out (FIFO) queue as we'd take seats, someone's name would be called and we'd proceed to the next spot. (Live data structures for the comp sci enthusiasts out there) There were probably more seats at the counter than booths. I observed some people refused a seat at the counter and would rather have a booth. Alas, they are missing out on being ride in the middle of the action, where the patient observer can take in the sensual overload of breakfast prep. A laminated menu tells you all you need to know, with breakfast options, lunch, dinner and dessert all available 24-7. And what you most certainly don't need to know is the calorie count. Unlike the food police fascistic NYC department of health uber alles, Central Florida doesn't mandate Waffle House ruin my breakfast with hard facts like calories. Denial is so good, especially in the form of a miraculously already soft spreadable butter that I loaded onto my two waffles. I love a place where the healthy light options include ham! Instead of a larger slab of bone-in ham, the healthier option is two smaller rounds of delicious ham. So do try one or two waffles while here for breakfast and have a side of bacon or ham. Or a biscuit or grits or eggs. Or have that biscuit smothered with gravy, a verb that just bespeaks good eats. And you won't break the bank at Waffle House. A brunch of similar items in the yankee north at a place just founded a year or two ago would likely run $15 per person whereas Waffle House cred dates back to 1955 and $15 will give two people a feast of epic meal time proportions. The staff was ridiculously friendly, so friendly that I wasn't quite used to such instances of human kindness. As in, here's extra creamer for your coffee, smiles, sorry about the delay for a biscuit-- all they didn't do was start kissing babies and declaring universal peace. Next time we visit family in Orlando, we have to stay at the Radisson so we can waddle to and from the Waffle House. You too should do the same.

After being disappointed by the fact that the two restaurants my friend and I had narrowed lunch down to were both closed for business, we ended up at Waffle House just down the street. Over lunch, we discussed the fact that sometimes you don't need a fancy elaborate meal - you just need edible sustenance to get you to your next meal. We looked around the restaurant and at our food and our point was made. Waffle House isn't known for it's fine cuisine. What you'll get is mediocre, uninteresting food for a pretty good price. Actually, let me back up here. If you're sober, it's mediocre and uninteresting. If you're hungover? Some of the best food in the world. This particular location is one of the cleaner Waffle Houses I've seen - not that I visit them often, but I'm usually afraid to touch the table. Service here was better too. The waitress didn't look and sound like she had been up for 72 hours and living only on coffee and cigarettes. Friendly enough, but did just the bare minimum amount of work to be able to call it "working". You could do a lot worse than the Waffle House - but you could do a whole lot better too.

I visited the Waffle House during a visit to Orlando to watch the last shuttle launch 7/8/2011. I ordered a take out of their All American or similar name breakfast. The eggs were fresh and great, as well as the other items in the order. The only problem were the grits, which I hadn't ate in a long time. These grits were runny, i.e. too liquid. The didn't sit in a piled, or lump, like mash potatoes, they were perfectly level and were flat on my spoon. Thats unacceptable. I was interested in trying their waflles ,as thats what I'd expect they'd be very good at. The waffles I found were just okay, just like you'd make at your home in a waffle iron. Nothing extra special. They were ok. You'd expect them to be dfiierent somwhow since its the Waffle House, but they're not, just normal waffles. I also had sausage patties, which were great, but I imagine were quite fatty and very poor for your health. They had a juicy maple/pork flavor. Otherwise, the servers seemed inexperienced, and ill at ease as if they were just learning, or uncomfortable being behind the counter . But were pleasant, particularly the manager. Seemed like they would experience a lot of turnover of personnel which perhaps effect the outcome of their food. Technically, I would conclude - leave the grits off your order, to be honest everything else was ok. Would I eat there again? NO. Their quality control is non-existant.
