Very busy for lunch, and I don't understand why - food was barely edible.. Curries were decent, but certainly less than great. Kicker was the "side salad"; wilted cabbage with sad looking carrots and freezer-burnt green beans. By far the worst Thai food I have ever eaten.

This place is always hopping. The food is consistent and the price is right. They have good happy hour specials too. For me, nothing beats the summer rolls with peanut sauce. If I'm shopping near Waterford, it is easy for me to justify this cheap and healthy snack. Penang chicken curry and shrimp pad Thai are the mainstay for me.... But I have to flip a coin each time!

We can't believe it took us this long to try this place. We tried their yellow curry with shrimp and Shrimp Pad Thai and it was delicious! Looking forward to visiting again this weekend! Staff was super friendly as well!

Very slow service, waiter would not come back for anything after food was served, food was just ok, nothing out of the ordinary, bordering in mediocre

If you love Thai food stay away. Out of all the Thai restaurants I've dined at in Orlando this is at the bottom of the totem pole. Terrible service and the food is overpriced for what you get. I'm a foodie who's in the service industry, I've been serving for over 10 years and this place was a disappointment. Tried it twice, once for lunch, the second time for dinner. Will not be coming back. Thank goodness for places like Royal Thai and Thai place.

Thai Singha is a restaurant with a typical Asian food feel. It is quiet and has authentic food. I came for lunch on a Monday at 12:30. I was sat right away and was given both menus (regular dishes and sushi). As I was browsing the lunch specials, there were no vegetarian options. I asked the server if there were any and she said no and pointed to about 10 options for vegetarian food on a 6 page menu. Needless to say, options were limited. I ordered stir fry veggies with tofu which came with the usual carrots, broccoli, cabbage, snap peas and corn but also had celery and green beans which was a little out of the ordinary. The sauce was light and added a nice flavor. I finished, put my silverware on the plate and put out my credit card to pay and I still had to ask a server for the check after about 10 minutes of waiting. The food is decent, the service is slow, but it's a good lunch spot.

I am really not a huge fan of this place. I've had it a few times and the food is always mediocre at best. I've definitely had better Thai in Orlando. The pad thai here is a bit strange to me because it includes tofu, which is unusual. I wasn't a fan of that, and I didn't feel like the dish had the flavor I was looking for. Their wonton soup, which is a Thai food staple for me, had a very sweet broth that I didn't care for. I also wasn't impressed with the cashew nut chicken and shrimp. It was okay, but nothing I wanted to take home for leftovers. My dining companions had similar reactions to their food, and reported that the fried rice dishes they ordered really lacked flavor. The only positive was the service. The servers were attentive and friendly, and I appreciated their great work. It's not enough to make me come back, though.

Shhhhhh!!! Don't tell anyone about this place so that I can keep it all to myself!! I daydream about their drunken noodles.

Got to go yesterday. I think I know what the negative comments on food tast are about. Experienced it myself. Curry was good. Noodle dish was good. Uncooked salad was good. Cooked vegetables tasted like they were soaked in disinfectant dishwater. Service in restaraunt was good. So they have a problem with how they prepare cooked vegetables and maybe some sauces that are milder in flavor.

This is a small restaurant located on the far side of the Waterford Lakes shopping center. The space has 15 or so tables, mostly 2 tops and looks like a place to grab a quick bite on the go at lunch, which I've done. Nice option from the larger, more crowded chain restaurants. I ordered take out on my most recent visit, I called on my way there and found dinner ready 20 minutes later as promised. Order was made well, and take out containers were the nice plastic sturdy ones. Good for containing curries. :) Order consisted of Lemongrass soup with Chicken for the hubby, who enjoyed it. We split the Panang Curry and Pad Thai, both with Tofu. The Panang Curry with Tofu had a nice amount of tofu that had good flavor, but the dish was very sparse with anything else. The container was mostly the curry sauce with the tofu, a few snow peas and peppers. Odd. The curry flavoring was OK, the spice itself seemed a bit salty, which was unusual. Med spicy heat was pretty tame. Hubby enjoyed it, I thought it was meh. Pad Thai with Tofu was OK ("Med Spicy"). No spice, mostly a sweeter sauce that tasted like it was out of a jar. Noodles were a bit overdone and a bit gummy tasting, the dish overall was dry. Wondering if the trip home (20 minutes) steamed the noodles too much, which is very possible. All in all, not the best Thai but better than hitting a fast food place for a quick bite while in Waterford Lakes. There was a sign posted outside for a "Happy Hour"- If you arrived between 4-6 Entrees are buy one, get one 1/2 off for dine in. (pic posted)

We ordered take out...some of the dishes were okay, some were sub par. Definitely had better thai food but it was the closest restaurant to us. I do not recommend the stir fried mixed vegetables off the lunch menu or the pineapple fried rice. The massaman curry chicken was good though. Overall, would only eat here again if we really need thai food but are too lazy to drive a little further.

Been here several times, so I decided to finally write a review. I went for dinner tonight and started with the Crazy Kobachi, which is basically a tuna kobachi using white tuna instead of tuna and slices of mango (they ran out last night so they used kiwi instead) and diced avocado. My girlfriend got the drunken noodles and said it could have used a bit more fish sauce. I got panang curry with beef. The thai food is consistently good here. I usually get the panang curry and it always satisfies me. The only complaint I have is that they skimp you rice on purpose, so you have to order extra rice, which they charge you for. I mean seriously.. you get a HUGE bowl of curry and a measly amount of rice. I noticed that all thai restaurants charge extra for rice... but at least give me a bit more for a dinner portion. Am I right? Or am I just being a cheap ass? Or are they being cheap? Its rice...

I really love Pad Thai. I really love fried rice. I really love Sushi. This place provides me with my loves therefore I love this place. The service is great unless they are busy then you should be prepared to wait a bit however it is truly worth it.

I'm a total fan of Thai food and when I first tried this place a couple of years ago it was really good. I have noticed that the quality over the years has declined which is disappointing. I have never tried their sushi side so I cannot comment on that. I will say that they do have pretty decent lunch specials that include my favorite Red Curry dishes. One note of caution you will have I pay for extra steamed rice if you request more. I have noticed that when you order a curry dish that requires steamed rice for lunch or dinner the portion size is the same even though the curry portion size is doubled for dinner. You will pay $1.50 for each extra side of rice which is a lot for 1 scoop of rice. Also if you're a Pad Thai fan you can skip the dish here. I've had way better at other Thai restaurants in the area. The limes that usually come with certain Thai dishes are usually so dehydrated that it's pointless in putting them on the plate. From a service aspect I have had both fast and slow service. It's hit or miss.

I'll admit, I get distracted by pretty, shiny things and when I saw that cute happy hour sign with the neon writing just outside their door reading, "Happy Hour! Buy one get one 1/2 off", I immediately bee-lined my hiney right through that door! I was so excited to see a Thai restaurant hidden in the shadows of all of the chain restaurants in the area and was eager to try their dishes. We started with egg rolls for an appetizer. I was really bummed out that they were still cold in the middle. I think they prep and blanch their food so that it's quick to cook when a guest orders them because the meat on the inside was fully cooked, just really cold like it had just come out of the freezer and not quite fully heated. (At least, that's the story I made up in my head) :) Moving on.... I ordered the panang curry which was decent. The curry was flavorful but I really didn't have that much chicken or veggies. Odd. The portion felt slightly smaller than what a lunch portion would be. On the plus side, the Pad Thai was on point. Very delicious and a good sized portion. We had just enough to bring home for a small snack later and even after a reheat, the dish was still tasty. I'm hopeful that they'll cook through their egg rolls on the next visti and that they're still running their happy hour specials because I'd like to give them another try to check out their other dishes. Just hoping that buy one get one half off doesn't mean buy one portion get 1/2 of another portion.

I have been to this restaurant several times while in the Orlando area. Service tends to be a hit or miss, I guess depending on what time you arrive and who your server is. For the most part I haven't had any issues with the servers except for some being forgetful (but who isn't?). The restaurant closes for an hour at 3pm, so sometimes you feel rushed if you're still there before 3. I love their Young Coconut Juice! Not many Thai restaurants that I go to have it; it's always a rare gem. Their appetizer "Chicken Spring Rolls" is also another one of my favorite items off their menu. Also, can't go wrong with their every day special, 2 for $5 Kirin. The sushi is not to die for, but it's good enough for the price you pay. Some other items off their menu that I've had was their Chicken Satay and Red Curry with Chicken. Both were your typical plates, nothing really significant about their tastes, but still good. I'm still a frequent visitor here.

Gave it another chance even though I had a bad experience for benefit of the doubt. Guess what. Still was upset. The lady didn't speak English couldn't understand what I said. Forgot I said avocados in my sushi and had to remake it. But look at their rolls of the picture I posted. There's literally NO meat. Why do they have to be so cheap. Imagine if I didn't add avocados?! What would have been left in there! They mess up my order every single time. I wish Waterford had another location for Thai food.

I really wish I could give this place 3 and a half stars. I'll round it down. This place is caught in between the category of "nice restaurant" and "takeout". I was sitting and enjoying my meal when suddenly there was a line of people waiting to order take out food. I don't mind that they do take out, but I do mind when this line is right next to my table. It really was distracting and it took away some of the nice vibes here. Aside from that, I came here about a year ago to try their "Japanese" menu. I was disappointed. But that was then. Their Thai food however was very good and I'll give them al lot of credit for making good food. The service was a combination of good and bad. I'd rate it a C+ there too. The moment you're done, 15 seconds later is the bill. And they check on you every minute until you pay. It feels rushed. But the service during the meal wasn't bad. It was intriguing to have 3 different people deal with us though.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Went here to eat with a friend and this place was ridiculous. We got our appetizer and then our entree right after. We finished our appetizer, but they didn't even take our plates and the table is small so our entree was sticking out of the table while eating. Not once did they come to ask how we were doing, give us any napkins, or refill our water. Later, I asked for a to-go box and the check. The lady gives me the box, but not the check. I wait thinking she was going to bring it, but my friend had to ask again for the check. I put my card down and waited again. The two ladies who work there were chatting for a good two, three minutes and I kept looking back at them to take my check but they didn't even look. So upsetting. The food was decent, but the service was bad.

I was in search of dinner and decided on Thai since I had not had Thai in awhile. The Happy Hour 4-6 pm sign (for the Sushi side) had previously caught my eye the day before so I decided to give this place a try. When I entered I was immediately greeted and asked if I wanted a table. I declined the table and ask for a menu to order take out. After a few minutes I decided on the Shrimp Lemon Grass Soup (Tom Yum Goong ?) and Triple Flavor Duck entree. I placed my order and waited 20-25 minutes for it to be prepared. Once at home, I settled at the table for dinner. I'm a big fan of Tom Yum Goong and I was greatly disappointed by this Shrimp Lemon Grass soup. The soup was not the greatest - the "clear" broth had more than salt than I needed and was otherwise without much flavor. It contained 3-4 shrimp and a few mushroom halves; the mushrooms tasted like canned variety. It seems like something was missing...the lime maybe? The duck was better and I presume that because it was carry out they package it in two containers. In one container was the white rice with shredded cabbage and carrots and in the other was the duck covered in the tamarind chili garlic sauce. Not too bad, I would have liked it more had it been spicier (hotter). As far a quantity, although the two items together was more than I could finish in one setting (I don't eat a lot a time), I thought it was a skimpy amount of food for the price. Anyway, the next day I tried to finish my soup but I couldn't take the taste of the broth - instead I picked out the remaining shrimp & veggies and poured the broth down the drain. Again, the triple flavor duck was okay. For now, I give it 2 stars because I've truly had better with these dishes. I may or may not give it another try just to see if they are better at something else that I like.

These people are not prompt at taking your food out. Two of us had to wait 40 mins for a Togo order. That's outrageous she swiped our cards faster than ever bit food had to wait even after she said "15 mins" I think in the time I had to wait I went through two hulu episodes. At least I got to catch up on my shows.

Once again I have become disappointed with another thai restaurant. My husband suggested going here the other night after I declared my craving for Thai. He orders the Pad Thai and I ordered the Green Curry. His plate turned out pretty good. It's hard to mess up Pad Thai. However, my dish was the disappointing one. The curry was waaayyyy too spicy and thin. It lacked creaminess. The most disappointing part was the rice portion. They give you this TINY portion of rice and fill the rest of the plate up with lettuce. When I asked for more rice they said it would be $2.00 extra. Are you kidding me?? I can buy a pound of rice for that price. No thanks.

We REALLY enjoyed our meal at Thai Singha. The fried wonton appetizer was delicious as were the vegetarian spring rolls. The sauce they came with was especially flavorful. Two of our party of three got currys - mine the Panang and our daughter's the Yellow. Both of them were also delicious. I especially liked the spicy-ness of mine. My wife did not enjoy her selection as much as we did ours - it was something with snow peas, chicken and mushrooms. Our dessert of sticky rice and Thai custard was a very nice end to a wonderful meal.

Pad Thai tasted like noodles that had been chewed and spat back out! I'm not that harsh when it comes to restaurant establishments (because those are hard working people!!) but when you pay a decent amount for a meal, you expect at least digestible food.....It was awkwardly tangy in flavor... didn't know what it was. Poor confused Pad Thai. The Papaya Salad with shrimp was decent but came with shrimp that appeared half cooked (all of my companions agreed it was only like 70% cooked..). When I asked the waitress if she could recook it for me, she told me ''the shrimp is like that.'' and walked away ... ???? One doesn't have to be a cook to have common sense about undercooked shellfish!!! I understand some meats cook due to the acidity of a brine, and if that was the goal for these shrimps, it was an epic failure. My other friend ordered a couple of sushi rolls and he was the only happy camper in our table. Overall, I would not recommend going here..... unless you want sushi rolls and confused Pad Thai.

This place was pretty good. The chicken coconut soup was excellent once I took out the green and red peppers. I had the Panang Chicken. It was excelent and the portion was HUGE. The fried chicken rolls were a bit overcooked and the spring rolls were pretty good. I would try it again. The service was excellent.

Had dinner here tonight for the first time and had a horrible experience. Service - Horrible The service was poor. It took forever for us to be greeted and have our drink order taken. We were never given napkins or utensils. The food was served to us and we waited for quite some time to see if they would bring napkins and utensils but I guess they expected us to eat with our hands. How when they brought the food they didn't see we didn't have those items are beyond me, we finally asked for them. They never came around to refill our drink until after we were done eating and ready to leave. Food - Horrible The noodles and chicken were watering, chewy and bland, all you tasted was watery eggs. The sushi bland buried in sesame seed that all you tasted was sesame seed.

Don't bother. I stopped in here once before for lunch but left after waiting for a menu for almost 15 minutes. Tonight I thought I'd give it another try. Unfortunate mistake. After waiting 15 minutes tonight, I finally went up to find someone to bring water and take our order. The girl acted like she did us a favor by bringing water. We ordered beer and they brought the wrong brand. The beer mugs were hot out of the dishwasher and the bottles of beer were not very cold. Finally got our order taken at the 17 minute mark. The waiter was pleasant and got the order right. Summer rolls were weak. One small piece of chicken and they were loosely wrapped. Peanut sauce was ok but I've had much better. Papaya salad was warm and the coconut chicken soup was lukewarm. The Panang Curry was tasty but too sweet. Like they put sugar in it. My wife had Green Chicken Curry. Her assessment was that it was too sweet and not very flavorful. We never finished our dinner. It is the first time I have ever left food at a Thai restaurant that I could have easily taken home as leftovers. Table next to us didn't get their order taken for at least 15 minutes. Overall assessment: EPIC FAIL! Don't bother coming here... It is a waste of money. Lousy service, lousy food.

My husband and I got take out after not having been here for quite some time. We both ordered the house salad. The dressing didn't taste very Asian but was still very good and the salads were large and very fresh. We also ordered the tofu summer rolls. The peanut sauce that was served with it was amazing. We were both pretty full after the salads and appetizer so we weren't able to eat all of our meals so we ended up with leftovers. I ordered the chicken fried rice and it was delicious. My husband loved his drunken noodle with chicken. We will have to eat here more often.

I rated this restaurant 3 stars which indicated "A-OK", but I would take off the "A" for this review if I could. I've visited here a few times over the years because it's just a quick stop into Waterford Plaza if I have a hankering for Thai. The establishment is split into two parts, one being the dine-in restaurant and the other for sushi. I've somehow never visited the sushi part. Their pad thai is good; it seems a bit sweeter compared to other Thai restaurants. I've tried the lamb chops in a creamy sauce once before, and that was pretty good too. The wanton soup is fine, as well as their appetizers like the fried calamari. On the lunch menu they offer a few specials which come out to about under 10 or 12 bucks. Service is fine, too. I can't give this restaurant an enthusiastic review, but that shouldn't deter one from visiting during a long day shopping or perhaps for a quick after-work dinner.

I just ate at Thai Singha for the first time in quite a while this evening with my wife and 2 boys. My wife and I used to eat here a lot when we lived in Waterford Lakes, but not so much lately. It was just as good as it used to be! I eat a fair amount of Thai Food. Every time I go to a Thai restaurant, I find myself comparing the food to Thai Singha. Some examples: -Red Curries are fantastic. Try the Rack of Lamb Curry; it has green peppercorns in the curry and is absolutely fantastic! -Thai Beef salad - Not sure if this is very authentic, as every time I order it at another Thai place it is very heavy in the fish sauce and not sweet. Thai Singha's is sweeter and the beef has a great flavor. -Pad Thai is a bit oily, which makes it taste fantastic. As long as you aren't put off by the oil you'll love it -Crazy Coconut soup was great, a tad bit richer than at some restaurants where it can be somewhat thin. -Beef Satay is great. Has a nice coconut curry marinade (I think..I made some at home that tasted very similar. Of all of the local Thai places in town, this is by far my first choice. I also enjoy Royal Thai quite a lot.

Food was mediocre. I ordered the red curry salmon. I asked for the hottest spice for my curry and they did medium. I had to add more which was annoying but doable. Service was slow. Highly dislike the natural light from the window. It was sort of dark. They didn't have any lights on in the restaurant. I felt like it was hurricane season and we were eating there with no electricity. Place was warm. Maybe I'll do take out in the future but never will I dine in again.

This place is great if you want a sit down restaurant that has some pretty good food. I usually get the red or yellow Thai curry and it is delicious. The food always comes out fresh. You do have to wait for your food to come out but I always suggest to get an appetizer if your super hungry. The plum wine is great, it's a nice sweet beverage that goes great with your meal. If you love asian food and your in the ucf area make a pit stop and check it out.

After our dear and well loved Thai restaurant closed late last year, my wife and I had been without Thai food for awhile. My wife had always cautioned against going to Thai Singha, but tonight, we were craving Thai and they were the closest. Called ahead of time to place a to go order (Chicken mussamun curry and chicken yellow curry) and then started to make my way there. Got there, and the place was full and sadly, my order was not ready yet. Between the 20 minute drive and the 20 minute wait, it was a bit slower than I had anticipated. Getting the food home, was surprised to find that the rice quantity was small and it had cabbage? Weird, but ok. But sadly, it just didn't live up to our curry standards. Maybe we're curry snobs? The sauce was thin for both of them, the flavor wasn't there. The mussamun curry was bland. It just wasn't great. At least we tried it? But meh, definitely going to have to find a good Thai Curry place.

Thai food is mediocre and not authentic, it's more of a "trendy" spot, which is to be expected at this location, however the sushi is good and they have well priced lunch options. Bento box offers a good variety for lunch: sushi, dumpling, thai noodles, edamame, and ginger salad for under $10

I was there to pick up lunch today and will never go back. I had a coupon that was in the valpack coupons that I had used before. The first two coupons clearly state dine in only. The third 10% coupon says on ANY purchase and did NOT say dine in only. They would not take it today even when I pointed out the difference in coupons. They just kept stating "well none of our coupons are for take out and that is our policy". I suggested they change all their coupons to state that and they rudely said "well we won't be doing that". So a measly 10% off was not to be had. Secondly once we got the food home as others have stated on here that white rice portion for the curry was ridiculously small!! Less than a cup, not even enough to go with the watery curry you got! For the price of the food you should be ashamed of the amount of rice you serve as rice costs nothing! Also the noodles for the Pad Thai were way overcooked. I would highly recommend going elsewhere where someone cares about having and keeping customers.

I have had Thai and Sushi at this restaurant on several occasions. The sushi is pretty subpar. I wouldn't recommend it at all. I've had curry dishes and pad see ew and typically have good things to say each time. Service is not great. They sell a lit of Groupon and Living Social deals, but when it comes to actually using the deals, they are really difficult about it. They add on unadvertised restrictions like a minimum order amount or a time of day and can be talked down, but who wants the wrangling? Not me.

I will start off by saying that the food was very good. I ordered salmon triple flavor & my son & husband ordered assorted sushi. The male waiter was nice & another waitress asked us for our drink orders. Everything was fine until the check came. Someone hand wrote the amount 18% & 20% would equal to. OK that is an etiquette NO NO. I automatically give 20% gratuities at restaurants or more when service is good. The minute you write on my bill unless it is words like thank you or the name.. That is improper & will reduce your gratuity. Though excuses like "Tourist & Black people & foreigners don't tip" is unacceptable. I politely signed the bill left 18.5% tip & a note stating not to write on my bill, I do possess a calculator. FYI we are up here often because my son goes to UCF. But we will think twice about returning back because of this incident.

Came here with my boyfriend on a week night. Small place but it wasn't too busy. Perfect menu for us because we both like spicy food - especially Thai and they have many different sushi options on the menu. I ordered Massaman Chicken curry which is normally on the sweet side. I asked them to kick the spice up a notch which made the dish a good balance of sweet and spicy! My boyfriend ordered the spicy tuna roll roll. We both enjoyed our meals. Portions were healthy sizes and proportionate to the prices. The service was good. We would definitely go back.

Great food.. Service was better than last time.. But if you use a coupon they automatically add 20% gratuity... This is the second time something has happened here. I have a restaurant.com deal for them... Been here a few times since I started this review.. Yes it was in my drafts and I forgot to post. :) Again I'll say the sushi is great, service is terrible.. Once I had a nice lady but other than that they don't seem happy.

Been here a couple of times and it have been a failed all 2 times. The prices on everything is quite overpriced. I love Thai food but this place is pricey. First time I've been there, I ordered shrimp fried rice. The course was pretty small so I recommend ordering two dish. The customer service was pretty bad! We returned one of the shrimp fried rice since a fly flew and landed in our rice. It took them another 25 mins to bring it out. We kept reminding them that we had our rice, seems like they forgot about it. Everything was just very slow and I'm a patient person. Hopefully they fix all their kinks and also work on the customer service.

Great thai food at a reasonable price. Good for lunch, a date or a group dinner. Service gets stretched thin at times but overall very satisfied with my experience. It had been a long time I'd been to a Thai restaurant and after my last visit I was wondering why I hadn't started frequenting Thai Singha long ago. They have a pretty good selection on their menu and offer a sushi menu from the Kirin Sushi next door. The spring rolls are a great size for an appetizer and come with a delicious peanut sauce. I've tried a curry and the sushi from the attached/neighboring Kirin Sushi, both times very appetizing and great portion size. There is certainly better sushi around, but with the option of a pretty fast take out or a combo with your thai order it's very much worth it. With an extremely convenient location from home and work, I was glad to find another restaurant my family could frequent. The place itself is pretty small, so it can get packed pretty quickly and is almost never empty. I'll definitely be frequenting more often!

** Order the sushi from Kirin next door** I'm surprised to see reviews here dismissing the sushi you can order from the Kirin Sushi restaurant connected to Thai Singha as a weakness. We have found just the opposite is true. The Singha / Kirin combination has always given us the impression that the two conjoined restaurants are the result of wonderful sushi geniuses dabbling perhaps unadvisedly in Thai food. Aside from great spring and summer rolls, the Thai food at Singha is uninspiring. The duck is of the "too much, too bland" variety that seems common in Orlando, and there is a frightening gator tail dish that I received thoroughly undercooked and near inedible. We have tried a variety of other Thai standards, and while most were okay, none were anything we'd order again. The sushi, which can be ordered on either "side," but comes from the aforementioned Kirin next door, is superb -- fresh and expertly prepared, with a great selection of delicious rolls. A chef at a "fancier" sushi joint across the street once told us he wished he could get the quality of fish served there. Tiny Kirin Sushi really is an underappreciated gem and among the finest sushi restaurants in Orlando. You can sit on either side of Thai Singha / Kirin Sushi and order either restaurant's food. The Thai side is larger and perhaps more comfortable, while the Kirin side has just a sushi bar and a few small tables. It's also cold, which is a good thing, considering how close it is to the critical sushi supply, but make sure you bring a sweater. We go to Thai Singha when the Kirin side of the joined restaurants is too crowded, and order the fantastic Kirin sushi, sometimes with an appetizer of Thai Singha's solid spring rolls. When we want to focus on Thai food, we usually pick somewhere else. I'm adding a star to make it three, though, because the fantastic sushi and the so-so Thai are so inextricably entwined.

Decent pad thai, a couple of other good Thai dishes, but the sushi is some of the most disappointing that I've had, and their service is spotty. They benefit from the fact that there is not many privately owned restaurants, and even less cultural dining options, in Waterford Lakes. If you stick to the Thai food basics and order it to-go, that's usually the best option there.

I've been coming to this place for years, and it has always been a solid choice for Thai food. The Pad Thai here is one of the better ones in the area, never disappointing me. Service is also friendly and quick to fill drinks. The summer rolls, which I get every time, are on the small side but delicious -- and they're a bit different as well, using chicken instead of the usual shrimp. Today I decided to get the yellow curry. It tasted pretty good, maybe not quite as good as some places, but still good. However I was a bit disappointed in the portion size. The curry came in a large bowl (think big cereal bowl), but there was not much chicken in there, and literally 4 cubes of potato the size of a restaurant crouton. They were swimming in so much curry and green peppers that it took me a while to find it all. And then I was given 1/2 cup of white rice to go with it. Honestly, with the giant bowl of curry next to it, this single ice cream scoop worth of rice just looked absurd. So I wasn't a fan of the curry dish. But since that's the one bad experience in several years of coming here, it's still worth an easy 4-star rating.

Their Thai food is very good and their lunch specials lures a lot of locals; however, their sushi was between meh and blah. Their presentation and portion size leaves a lot to be desired. We've had a few samplings and I can honestly say I probably will not be able to differentiate between their sushi and Target's sushi. Needless to say, I will not be back for sushi.

What can I say about Thai Singha. I have eaten there 5-6 times now hoping to experience what I love about Thai restaurants. The food is just bland. I usually try the Pad Thai and Panang curry at Thai restaurants both not good here. When you ask for spicy it just taste hot no flavor. It is also a little expensive for what you get. Please go to another Thai place if you crave Thai food. Like I do everyday.

The food is ok enough that I have ordered it as take out at least once, sometimes twice per month for almost 4 years- it's the closest thai restaurant, so I've tolerated its "hit or miss" quality. I've rarely eaten in the restaurant because the staff is often rude and standoffish at best. Only the guy who works there smiles, so it's usually take out. So tonight, for the second time in 4 years, one of the dishes I ordered came out poorly enough that I called and spoke with the manager?...Long story short, she blamed it on my poor communication skills, claimed I've had problems "many" times- Um, I guess, if twice is "many"???. She explained that her chef had made the dish the same way, every day, for 10 years, very defensive- which did succeed in making me feel very sorry that I called. She wanted me to bring her the dish so she could look at it, which is getting extreme. And then she suggests, and I'm not even kidding, that I taste the food before I leave the restaurant. Seriously? Just. so. rude. You know, maybe there was some cultutral divide at work in this bizarre exchange, but it really just seems like dealing with a really bad experience of what is usually just mediocre food and service. In the end, it was an unsatisfying relationship that went on way too long... Thai Singha, I'm breaking up with you.

Not bad. Not good. Just adequate. I am a fan of Thai BBQ chicken, But their version was quite strange. It was not a whole chicken or a half a chicken it was a chicken breast that was sliced And miss the full flavor that you would get with typical Thai BBQ chicken The red chicken curry was underwhelming It lacked the vegetables that you would normally see with the red chicken curry and the depth in the curry. Going back to the chicken, you would normally get a half of a chicken that has marinated overnight and then chopped into smaller pieces. Have a boneless breast sliced was a disappointment. There are so many other better choices for Thai food in Orlando, I would say wave as you pass by but do not stop.

Pretty good service. The place was packed which was a good sign, and the pad thai was awesome. Definitely try the chicken skewers appetizer, the chicken is very tender, and the dipping sauce is great.

It wasn't exactly what I expected when I got there. It's very small inside, sparsely decorated, and older furniture. Which is not a bad thing. It doesn't have to be all new and modern for the food to taste good. It just seemed a little on the dumpy side. I ordered the Panang with Chicken - medium spice. Spice was good. Could have been a tad spicier, but we weren't offered the usual spice tray and the menu stated extra hot sauce $1. Really? I think that's the other thing that kind of turned me off a bit. It seemed a bit on the cheap side to charge $1 for hot sauce. The wording on the menu about other additions and substitutions were also off putting. I almost felt like I was visiting the Thai Nazi! Back to the Panang... The curry itself was a good portion, but the rice portion was pretty small and was not enough for the curry. I ended up eating the rest of the Panang like soup. Which, honestly, wasn't the worst thing. My tummy wasn't full of rice, but the curry. As the star rating states - "A-OK" - but I think there are other Thai places I would go before coming back here.

This is definitely not the best Thai food I've ever had. It's funny though, I remember going here maybe a year or two ago and thought it was okay, but today I went and got the Pad See Ew and it was just way to sweet. I asked for it to be 3/5 starts anticipating it to some-what spicy but when I got it I couldn't taste any spice at all. Even after adding multiple spoonsful of chili powder It still tasted too sweet for me. The service however, is really friendly and welcoming but the food is good but not great.

I just got back from this place tonight and was unsure if i was going to write this then my girlfriend forced me to because of the way we were treated. Listen, I'm not one to complain so I'm just going to tell you what happened to us then you make your own decision if you want to go there or not. Everything seemed OK at first when we walked in and got seated but then it went downhill very fast. First, my girlfriends lemonade tasted like the lines were flat or dirty. We had to ask for soy sauce. The miso soup was OK but the ginger salad had no dressing on it and when we asked for extra we got a little bit of an attitude from the waitress. Our sushi seemed OK at first but then my girlfriend pulled three big bones from her eel roll and when we informed the waitress she told us that's how it's supposed to be and then she tried to tell us it was from my girlfriends hair and didn't believe us that it came from the eel roll. Needless to say it was a waste of $9.00 because she was picking through everything scared to eat the rest because of the bones. Then the waitress walks over to us and grabbed my plate when I was still eating and walked away without even asking if i was done. We were both shocked and embarrassed at the waitresses attitude that we could not do anything but laugh to ourselves because we could not believe what was happening. We actually thought we were on a reality show and people were going to come out and start laughing at our reaction to this circus act of a restaurant. Then when the bill comes the waitress has the nerve to write how much i owe her as a tip with a smiley face. If you do not believe me i would be happy to send you a picture of it because i had my girlfriend take a picture with her phone so i can post it but this site will not let me post pictures... I guess i will have to do it on Facebook. No one should be treated like this especially when you walk out with a $70.00 bill.

Pretty good Thai food, just the right spice for what I ordered. Great beer specials! The waitstaff seems to be a little put out and kind of cold. Overall a good experience.

Great Food. For a first time visitor try the Pad See Ewe and don't forget to start off with a Thai Summer Roll. They actually have some BOGO specials before 6:00. So, if you're on a budget, this will certainly work for you.

Not very good at all. It may be ok if you have never had really good thai. It was very bland. I had drunken noodle and pad lad na. Drunken noodle was bland only flavor was pepper. Pad lad na was was like sweet beef stock no flavor at all. The vegetables used were not correct. Thai food should explode with flavor in your mouth, this did not. Would not eat here again.

Thai Singha is the definition of average. Been here three times with the family now, and not once had it been memorable. Well, what I do remember is that the duck was not fresh and they were very heavy handed with the coconut milk. DO NOT get sushi at a Thai place, especially this one (and if this is the sushi that comes out of Kirin, I don't recommend it either). Service is ok, and location is convenient, which is probably why we've been here two times too many.

This place has excellent sushi. One thing I love about it is that I can get sushi and a Thai dish all in the same meal. Yes, the glutton in me rejoices. :) This last visit, I had this delicious noodle dish that was like Pad Thai... minus the peanuts. It was fabulous. My husband tried the Red curry and it was pretty good itself. I thought it was spicy... but I guess I'm an amateur. My husband didn't think it was spicy at all. I've also had the sushi here and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. You will not be disappointed!

My red curry tasted like it was from a box or can. Tasted like no prep time was put into it, so bland. Thumbs down

The house salad was a pleasant surprise. Much larger than you often get, with nice fresh mushrooms, baby greens, and cucumbers. The dressing was on the side, which I prefer to having my salad drowned. It was a creamy vinaigrette, and reminded me a little of ranch combined with thousand island, tangy, yet refreshing. I always order the summer rolls, and always enjoy them. I do think I prefer them made with shrimp, though. I usually get the yellow curry, but thought I'd try massaman today. It was good, seemed a little skimpy on potatoes, but nice amount of chicken to sauce. My husband ordered pad thai, and thought it was pretty tasty, too. The portions seemed smaller than the last time we were here, but it was lunchtime, so not sure if that was the reason. Either way, the amount was just right. I actually finished it, and usually I end up with leftovers.

My favorite Thai place by far! Everything taste so fresh! They have the best tom yum soup. The salmon red curry is my favorite dish. They also offer sushi that is pretty good. But be careful when ordering the level of spiciness. There was a time when I ask for the hottest and my whole mouth was on fire.

Tried a new Thai place for the first time and would not be coming back. We got the lemongrass chicken soup which was extremely bland, my girlfriend got the red curry salmon and I got the pad see ewe. The salmon was way over cooked, dry and chewy. It had almost the same consistency as beef jerky. The curry was bland as well. My noodle dish was okay. It was on the salty side. The service was horrible considering that we were the only table there and they never came back to see how the food was.

This is a great place to eat when shopping in Waterford Lakes. I frequent this restaurant often. The summer rolls have big pieces of chicken and are delicious. The papaya salad is loaded with shrimp and is very tasty. I tried some sushi rolls which were also good. The chicken coconut soup is delicious... the duck noodle soup was a little too sweet for my taste. With an extensive menu, of thai and sushi dishes, this is place has something for everyone. The service is fast and professional.

This is the closest Thai place to me, so if I'm not feeling like going downtown, I just get takeout from here. Their yellow curry, pad Thai, and drunken noodles are pretty good. Those are all pretty hard to mess up. However, I'm unimpressed with their soups. IMO, baby corn should not exist and should not be used in any sort of cooking, especially wonton and or hot and sour soups. So skip the soup and just order the ones I mentioned.

Consistently great food from a non-chain restaurant in a large mall. Who would have thought? This place is close to home for me, and we love Thai food so it was natural that we'd try this place. That was about three years ago, and I still eat here or get take-out at least once a week. The food is great. I don't know how authentic it is as far as Thai food, I'm no expert, but I EAT a lot of Thai food and I can tell you that this place is delicious! The vegetable springs rolls are amazing, crispy, just a little greasy, and packed with veggies and tofu and served with a delicious sauce. All of their sauces and dressings are flavorful, not the bland crap you find in so many mall places. The service is always friendly, and if you've been there more than a couple times they'll start to recognize you. Food is delivered quickly, and it's rare to find the place empty. Having eaten at a number of Thai places in town, I simply can't recommend Thai Singha enough. I don't think you'll go wrong with this place. One of my favorite restaurants in town.

Weight Watchers Thai Food! Ordered crab cakes & red curry beef. Portion size was smallest Ive ever had at a Thai restaurant., thought it was a lean cuisine meal! Thai spicy is medium here. Food was tasty & service was good. For $8.95, this overpriced compared to what Sea Thai or Red Bamboo provide.

  • Katherine N.

I love the red curry here!! It's a large bowl of curry, but not much substance though, kinda like a soup. Every time I've been here the meat they put into the curry seems rough and overcooked (whether it be chicken or beef). They definitely skimp out on white rice too, for a bowl of curry that big, they should not be giving you a couple spoonfuls of rice!! If you ask for extra, it'll cost you too. I tried ordering takeout so I could just cook more rice at home, but their take out portion is drastically smaller than their dine in portion, so you're screwed either way. I'm a huge fan of really spicy food, but definitely don't get food with more than 4 rated peppers, or you'll be filling up mostly on water the whole meal. So even though they're cheap with rice and meat and their curry consists mostly of coconut milk, I find myself coming back here often. Also, go on Groupon for the $15 for $20 worth of food deal!!

I have eaten here a couple of times and at no time was I really impressed. The first time I ordered medium it was bland and tasteless and the second time that I ordered medium my mouth was on fire. For the cost I definately think there are better Thai restaurants in Orlando.

I came here on the (mistaken) recommendation of a friend. The food was very disappointing. There was very little flavor much less heat to the Thai good. Also, tried some of the sushi - seemed like they grabbed it from the grocery store down the street. When I told my friend who referred me, I found he had told me the wrong side of the street

My boyfriend and I went for dinner on Friday night. I didn't expect the place to be very good b/c It's in Waterford lakes where most college kids eat. Everything we had was excellent and they definitely surprised me. The Summer Rolls were fresh and I really enjoyed the peanut sauce. I had the Thai Noodles with chicken and extra vegetables. I LOVED that they had this healthy option! The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was light. I will for sure be going back!

I love Thai food.. I been to almost every Thai restaurant in the Orlando area.. This place was recommended by a friend a while back.. Finally I decided to venture into this small place and by the appearance it look like it was going to be good.. You cam order Thai or sushi since both restaurants are kinda joined together.. Nice combination since I enjoy both.. My family all stuck to Thai so don't know how is their sushi. Their curry is about 9.99 for chicken n pork.. On the higher side for curry in my experience.. The red, green, were excellent.. My brother ordered one with peanut sauce and it was also great.. I don't have kids but my niece was visiting.. No kids menu.. So it might be a problem for parents.. Just ordered her a 5 dollar salad.. Thankfully She likes salads My only complain is that the rice portions are tiny.. Will have to order a second portion of rice most of the time.. Which is not a problem at Thai restaurants.. But here they charge you 1.50 or 3 dollars I don't remember exactly.. (never paid extra for rice) If you go with a couple of people the rice adds up Service was airight.. Server didn't look very happy and we seemed to inconvenience her Plenty of other better Thai restaurants in Orlando.. I would skip this one

I was in Orlando for business and after rushing around doing errands before my flight; we had just enough time for lunch. We decided to pop into the closest strip mall to find a feast. We noticed that Thai Singha was located next to Kirin Sushi but were surprised that they are both accessible from the inside as they are owned by the same person! 2 for 1 Thai/Sushi is not a bad thing in my book! We were seated immediately and rushed through our orders because of our lack of time. We both ordered Tofu salads which were satisfactory but the vegetable spring rolls were very greasy. The service was good, prices were fair and the restaurant was clean. How can I say this without being too harsh? My review is a tad on the boring side because that is how I felt at Thai Singha. The potential of Thai and Sushi under the same room is amazing but this place seemed a tad generic. I don't think that you would get terrible meal here but I also don't think that you'll get a fantastic one either. What's the fun in that? Satisfactory but certainly not anything special......

I was driving around Waterford area looking for a place to eat and I stumble across this Thai restaurant with a sushi bar and I have to say that they were better then I expected them to be. The server was very helpful upon answering my questions and what I like most is that they have a good deal on their lunch special like 2 sushi rolls + soup/salad were under $10 and their bento box was just extraordinary. I been to a lot of restaurant and I never seen one like Thai Singha, I wasn't serve with just one server but the entire staffs so it was convenient for to ask for service. Overall everything is good and I'm definitely coming back

Update, came back today and got the 8.95 lunch special, massaman curry pork, medium spice, with a spring roll and lots of tasty rice & veggies. My co- diner picked out the bento lunch special, which was a TON of food and apparently was also quite tasty. Delish and cheap! My coconut curry cravings for the week have been satisfied. Oh, and they have a $3 sushi special for Happy Hour every day. I shall have to take advantage of that.

One of the best Thai places to go to in Orlando. I go to Thai Singha quite often for lunch, dinner, and sushi. The food is authentic and the staff is very friendly. Sushi happy hour can be very busy though so expect to wait a little bit. The pad thai and red curry is excellent. Great place to go to for lunch with your coworkes and dinner with family, friends or loved ones.

Read as 3.5 Not a bad place to stop in for lunch, and now they have expanded into Sushi with Kirin Sushi right next door. They offer a bento box for lunch that has chicken drunken noodles and a philly roll, not a bad option, but I wanted some curry. I ordered the Massaman curry, and it was tasty. They signify spice level by level of peppers... 1 is mild, 5 is hot, hot, hot! I ordered it 5, but I think it came out more like a 3. That was kind of bummer, but it was still very tasty. I've had better Thai food in town, so by this place suffers by comparison.. if there weren't so many really good Thai places in town, it'd be a full 4 stars.

The food was not that great and the service was horrible. We went during happy hour/specials time and we did not see our waiter again till the clock hit past happy hour time. We asked for a to go box and some more rice, since they gave us a large bowl of food and a very small amount of rice on the plate. We where told we would be charged for more rice, I have never been to a place that would charge for more rice. I wil not be back.

Surprisingly, I really liked this place. Its a nondescript small spot in the plaza that is Waterford Lakes. I had the pad thai at first, but I didn't like it and my shrimp had a rubbery texture. I let the waitress know and she was very nice about changing my order and my entree was quickly replaced with the house shrimp fried rice which was amazing. The flavors were so unique and it tasted different than any shrimp fried rice I've had. Also, the shrimp are huge and the place is small but a cute little place for a nice lunch or dinner. The prices aren't bad at all, about $10 for an entree. Try it !

We went there for dinner on a Friday night. I felt like having something spicy or sushi - you can have both if you want. So I ordered their Sashimi dinner and my hubby ordered the Red Curry. The sashimi wasn't very impressive - the fish was fresh enough, but presentation was blah and the slices were on the smaller side for the price you pay. The red curry was okay as well with a good balance of heat and spice. I have had some of their other curries in the past and always enjoyed them. Bottom line: if you're in the mood for sushi, or at least sashimi - go somewhere else. If you want spicy food - this is the place for you.

We have visited Thai Singha many times over the past few years. It has always been a positive experience, particularly for the thai food (they have sushi on the other side, it is ok but there are better sushi places in the area). The Drunken Noodle is one of my favorites, but they have a nice variety at various levels of spiciness. The atmosphere is authentic and calm, the service is a by-committee style so there are always members of the staff available for whatever you need. This is definitely one of the better thai places in the Orlando area.

After revisiting this place, it seems like the food has gone up a notch. Not sure whether they've changed cooking staff or what, but there's definitely a difference. They're pretty mellow with the heat factor, but their food has a good balance of flavors. Not sure if their food quality varies with different chefs, but it is definitely better than it was a few months ago. Tofu garlic is still our favorite dish :)

I've been living here in Orlando my whole life and this is one of the best Thai restaurants to go to. If you are near Waterford Lakes and are in the mood for Thai food, you should definitely check this place out. Its really small from the outside so you would think its cheesy, but when you go inside, its really nice.

$3 sushi rolls during happy hour! Spicy Tuna and Mexican are delicious. I don't think I need to say more but the lunch is great - the chef is very nice and willing to accomodate to your taste. I recommended trying the thai tea at least once. Servers are very helpful. They will teach you Thai.

I love Thai food, an as a precaution I don't find many that I dislike. However, I am confident in saying that when you are looking for good Thai food in east Orlando, Thai Singha is the place to go. It is not too expansive, but the restaurant manages to pack a good amount of tables without seeming over cramped. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is a nice break from the other boisterous Waterford Lakes chains. I usually go with the Pad Thai, which is always a favorite of mine in Thai restaurants. Thai Singha does not disappoint with this dish, and I almost always have leftovers. The Thai Summer Rolls are a good start to any meal, as well as the Chicken Lemongrass Soup, which has a good kick to it. Thai Singha is decently priced and always aims to satisfy any Thai lovers palate.

A close friend of mine and I make it a point to go on food adventures every so often not only to enjoy each others company but also to try new foods and broaden our palates. One of our adventures was to a restaurant called Thai Singha located in Waterford Lakes Town Center, which if you haven't guessed already, serves traditional Thai cuisine. Being that this was my first Thai food experience, I was a bit nervous because I have heard many tales of how spicy their food can be from people who either loved it or completely hated it. However, I kept an open mind and jumped feet first into the dining experience. We started with their summer rolls, similar to a spring roll, but it's wrapped in thin rice paper and filled with a cabbage mixture and whichever meat you choose and it's not fried. Very refreshing and a good way to start a meal. The main course was chicken panang, which is basically a curry dish that is made with coconut milk giving it the perfect sweet to salty ratio with a bit of a spicy kick. It was served over a bed of fluffy white jasmine rice...so delicious! We decided to skip desert, but those that we saw creep out of the kitchen to other tables looked very scrumptious. The server we had was very attentive and helpful. Since she herself was Taiwanese, she was able to explain each dish in detail and answer all of our questions. The restaurant decor is what you see in most Asian restaurants, bamboo plants, lots of black, white, tan and green, and flowers all very simply arranged throughout the place. It's not very big is size, which means there is usually a wait on the weekends and sometimes for dinner, especially around the holidays and other special shopping occasions since it's in a very busy shopping plaza. Since that first time, I've been back more than once and leave satisfied and happy every time. Grab some of your friends and go on a food adventure to Thai Singha :)

We just moved here from WI and LOVE Thai food! We do not have expensive taste and are not very picky eaters but I must say that this was the worst by far for the lad na!! It was extremely blah and way to watery! I am usually needing my pants to be undone LOL but this left me hungry afterwords. My husband had the yellow curry which is his favorite and this was, to him, a very low so-so. The portion was not good either. His exact words were he felt like it was an $11 appetizer. We will not be returning to this place!

Visiting from DC... Stopped by Thai Singha tonight for dinner. Yummy! In the NoVA/DC area, you can't swing a dead lawyer without hitting 20 Thai restaurants, so I've eaten a good bit of Thai food in my time. Thai Singha is now in my top five. I had Tofu Massamon for dinner, and really, while it could have been a bit more spicy, it was about the best Massamon curry I've ever had. The portions were large, and service was outstanding (although food was a little slow coming out of the kitchen, I suspect it was because the dining room was, for most of the evening, standing-room-only!) Thai Singha seems to be in a bit of an incestuous relationship with the Sushi restaurant next door (Kirin Sushi). I noticed many folks eating sushi... I'll be trying the sushi sometime this week! Definitely worth trying... Great value!
