This is one of my favorite local restaurants as I live in the neighborhood. I always seem to have a great time here and bring a number of my friends who also have complimented the food and the service. I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday and sat at the bar. I received exceptional and friendly service from the bar server, Leandra. I always get the soup as it is homemade and fresh. The minestrone was no exception and I complimented on the dish to Leandra and the chef, Mikey, came out to thank me. (Nice touch!) I had the lobster ravioli with the Lyric Pinot Noir and it was a perfect combination. Plenty of lobster in the ravioli and a great portion. I am surprised by some of the recent reviews in Yelp about the service and the owner. I have noticed that the staff seems to be turning over a lot lately and I hope the owner is paying attention to this. You need to treat your staff well if you want them to stay and based on what some Yelpers below have stated about the owner's attitude, I am concerned. I would hate to see this place go under, but good food alone does not a successful restaurant make. It is the service that usually brings patrons back (like me). Finally, I suggest the owner update the Yelp profile to reflect their current manager, Jonathan. I understand the manager in the current profile left over a year ago. With the turnover of staff or comments on the untrained staff that I and a number of Yelpers have noticed, Jonathan must have his hands full constantly training new hires. I hope the owner is paying attention to the Yelp reviews because I would hate to see such a fine establishment with great staff have to suffer if he does not take a more proactive approach to treating his employees and customers with respect.

We were served completely charred pizza underneath. Our server jonathan informed us that was normal for their style oven and that all their pizzas would come out burnt underneath. Tables near us could smell the awful burnt smell. He argued with us trying to get the pizza remade! Absolute trash.

My uncle adores this place so I was really looking forward to trying it. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is modern and pleasant. That's pretty much where the positives stop, though. The bread brought to the table wasn't fresh. The wine list is an absolute joke. I sprung for a glass of the most expensive option, although being familiar with most of the others on the list I should have known better, and was completely disappointed. Their website at the time claimed it was curated by a master sommelier but they removed that after my brother emailed them to ask who it had been. I had the chicken Milanese. It was overcooked and somewhat tough, underseasoned, the veggies weren't fresh, and the pasta on the side was also overcooked. The balsamic drizzle wasn't even as flavorful as Publix-brand vinegar. I won't return. This is hipster atmosphere for the Olive Garden crowd. Don't bother.

I wish I could put 0 star really... I am traveling with my family, where stayed in Sheraton resort and met another family there who invited us to have lunch together in Tartini Pizzeria & Spaghetteria. They bought groupon deal "lunch for 4" and I thought why not, I checked groupon and bought same deal for my family of 4! Today was a very rainy day, hungry kids, and one empty pizzeria. As soon as we sat down, we were told that the groupon deal is for four people only, which we were aware of. We had 2 groups of 4, 2 groupon deals, 2 tables. Waitress wanted to take an order, and she said that we must have 2 separate bills, which was totally fine, because that is how we wanted it from the get go. Then she went to double check with the manager who happened to be an owner; he came out and said that we CANNOT be here together, WE MUST COME SEPARATE ;))) then I said: "then we will sit on separate tables". What is the big deal, each family has groupon, and own bill, own order, own tips and the only connection that we had was we knew each other from resort and decided to go in the same place same time! The owner went completely bizarre. And started to insist that we were supposed to come separate and that we are trying to cheat him. WOW! What? Cheat??? How? Then I asked him : "if my family of 4 will leave, and come tomorrow, and another family of four will eat today that makes sense???" He said "no" because he already saw us together;))))))) Wait it gets worse! Then he asked me where I am from since he heard an accent. I told him we are from New Jersey to which he replied "no, no there is an Eastern European accent I hear". What does that have to do with anything? By the way originally from Latvia. Then he became very mean and asked us to leave, his reply to my objecting was that he is the owner and he can do what ever he wants, and if he says we can't eat here, means we can't eat here!!! All this time we were calm and shocked! Let me tell you, this was the most unprofessional approach I ever seen in my life!!! I wouldn't eat there anyway and he is not supposed to ask us to leave, all I wanted to know, why a restaurant owner, would be mean and discriminative to a nice family with little 8 year old girl, who stopped for lunch in a pouring rain to an empty restaurant... We left with our purchased groupon we will never use. I intend on calling groupon about this matter!

Not impressed, if McDonalds served Italian food, this quality would be comparable. Don't waste your money.

I was excited to try Tartini, but I walked away very disappointed. Waitress was not friendly at all, came off as rude. When asked about the soup of the day, she didn't even know and then didn't offer to find out. We waited quite awhile for our meals. My friend ordered her entree with the gluten free pasta option and the waitress explained that the pasta was not prepped correctly that day so it was taking awhile to cook. We were starving - but she didn't offer to bring any bread or anything to apologize for the wait. However, I did like the Romana pizza - pesto, chicken, pine nuts, and mozzarella. It was good, but not enough to make me go back just for that. It's been done elsewhere. The Milanese entree was not good. First of all, it was cold. Chicken was rubbery and did not even taste like real chicken. The flavors that were mixed were strange. We had to ask our waitress to refill our drinks. Then when we were finished with our meal, our waitress was nowhere to be found - even though the restaurant was basically empty. We had to ask a hostess for our checks. Overpriced mediocre food and bad service. I probably won't be back :(

This is the best Italian restaurant in Orlando. The owner is always around cooking or creating people. Jonathan is the best server in the world! Let's talk food. ALL the appetizers are amazing. My favorites are the calamari and the mozzarella sticks. Dinner you can go wrong with the pizza but the chicken parm, lobster ravioli and lasagna are amazing!! Gotta try the limoncello!!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would but there is no such option. We are visiting from out of state and thought to give this place a try. Got a groupon deal for lunch; advised another family at our resort to do the same. Came in 2.40pm to see an empty restaurant. Deal was valid for lunch only up until 3pm. Waitress waited 20min to approach us and took an order. Exactly at 3.01 she advised the deal won't be valid since the time is after 3 o'clock. Rainy day outside, empty restaurant are you kidding me? Two families of 4 with young kids. An owner approached our table and said we are taking advantage of the deal: after 3 o'clock and a group of two families. Deal was valid per table. We offered to sit at two separate tables since we were going to pay two separate bills anyways, got two separate groupons and only came in together since we are staying at the same resort. Owner disagreed and on my comment about "customer is always right" he replied "well I am the owner and I do whatever I want". With that being said we got up and left. All of us. He lost business, his waitress lost tips on an empty afternoon, and as a true Yelper be ware of this establishment and this owner who is clueless of customer service.

Walked in at 8pm on a Friday night, eight clean tables inside and two clean tables outside, we were told a 40 minute wait. When we asked why he shrugged and wouldn't answer. Not going back. Sad, we were told that food is good. I guess we'll never know

Stylish on both exterior and interior, Tartini serves up authentic Naples style pizza. The thin crust is the perfect combination of crisp and chewy, and can be slightly charred around the edge if you request. There's an almost infinite combination of toppings available, including arugula, pesto sauce, and ricotta cheese for something different from the typical American pizza. Even the bargain priced side salad is a generous serving, and there are some excellent pasta dishes. A brief wine list offers an interesting three glass tasting option, and there are some intriguing beers. Service is friendly and helpful.

Seems a bit misplaced in the little area it's located. Absolutely love the decor--someone knows what they are doing. Great place to stop by for drinks and conversation. We had dinner outside and it was nice, the wait staff being very funny and personable. Enjoyed the pizza.

I love thin pizza, and that's exactly what I got. My pizza was topped with italian sausage, mozzarella and feta cheese. It was very delicious, and even better when heated up in the oven the day after. My two complaints were that the pizza didn't stay hot for very long and that it was a little under cooked for my liking. I would have preferred it to be a bit crispier and hold up the toppings better, but it still tasted wonderful. I also tried the fettuccine alfredo which I thought was really good and had a different flavor than most I've tried. The mozzarella sticks were crispy and the cheese oozed out with a tasty marinara sauce on the side, delicious. The caesar salad was also good and the croutons are homemade and awesome. The restaurant is cozy and they have large doors that open up to create an indoor/outdoor feel, which is great when the weather is nice. I went here for lunch on the weekend and I found the prices to be a bit high for what you would normally pay for lunch. The menu seems to be geared more toward the dinner crowd. I would love to see a lunch menu in the future with items under $10.00 and smaller portions.

This isn't my first time to Tartini and I really enjoyed my first experience! Sadly, I can't say the same about my second. To begin, the waitress was extremely unkind and when asked about the soup of day, she said "I don't know? It has mushrooms and stuff? I actually have no idea but I heard it's not great" Weird! I chalked it up to her having an off night. The food was mediocre. Not what I remember the first time. My friend ordered gluten-free pasta and the staff "forgot to prep it this morning" so when I say it was "al-dente", it could crack a tooth. Bad! I got the Milanese entree.. Side note: I speak Italian but the waitress corrected me on my pronunciation. Comical. The entree was so-so. The chicken was cooked well but the balsamic reduction when mixed with the marinara sauce was just plain weird! Anyway, I might give it a 3rd try but it won't be anytime soon!

Excellent pizza, but crazy high prices. Anytime they have a groupon going I am all in, but otherwise I can't stomach $40 for a pizza dinner that would be $20-$25 at brick and fire or Italian house. I will say they are a much nicer atmosphere, but it's not worth that price point for a classy pizza place. Also, they struggle with having hot sauce, sometimes they do, sometimes they have habanero sauce, sometimes they don't have any hot sauce.

  • Lori C.

I came here using a Groupon and this place is a hidden restaurant in an industrial part of town. It was pretty empty when we arrived but the decor was very classy and the customer service was good. The staff made their recommendations that I truly enjoyed. I got the Chicken Parmigiana, which is what people usually get, but it was really delicious. I also got the Tartufo Pizza, which had pesto! Yummy. It was a very filing meal, but without a Groupon, I don't think I would return. Italian restaurants usually are pricey, but the fact that only three total groups were there when we dined there made me doubt coming back.

  • Dane W.

The food is quite unshabby. Pizza's are great! The lasagna is great! The mozzarella sticks are not recommended. I wanted too much cheese, and I inadvisably ordered them. Imagine a twinkie, but less sweet, and with a block of cheese replacing the creme. The space itself is nice, but gets SUPER loud when highly-populated. The serve staff needs some serious, serious training. Everything from How to Deliver Plates 101 to What Beers are Served would be helpful and provide for a much more enjoyable dining experience. For fans of: thin pizza; interiorly-designed straight lines; shaking your head in disbelief at undertrained staff

The appetizers are great, the salads are well made, and the tartini pizza is excellent. Service is usually pretty good, and it is nice to have more decent restaurants on Orange Ave south of Michigan. My biggest complaint is that for the food, the prices are pretty outrageous. With the groupon, we used to visit on occasion, but without the discount, spending $40 on a pizza dinner for 2 doesn't make sense. Way better and cheaper pizza elsewhere. Sorry Tartini, probably won't be back.

If you love coal fired pizza (ala Anthony's), this is as close as it gets in Orlando without driving to Altamonte. Probably 2nd best pizza in Orlando in my opinion (I would rate Prato as #1). Definitely a must try.

My colleagues went here for lunch recently because it's fairly close to our office. I must say, I was surprised this place exists in this neck of the woods (South Orlando, near Pine Castle). We ordered a couple of pizzas. Honestly, I forget which ones. One had arugula on it. That much I know. They were both really good. I'm not much of a pizza person, but I was impressed. The service was great. It was VERY slow though, so I would like to get a feel for how it is during rushes. But, our server was also very polite. Score there. The decor was something you'd expect to find on Park Ave or maybe around Lake Ivanhoe. NOT in this mostly-industrial area, randomly off Orange Ave. Very elegant and modern. I would like to try more of their menu in the future to get a feel for how they do "Italian." I hope they can sustain. The choice of location just seems really bizarre. But, maybe they can start a trend!

First time in Orlando. Here for business. I was looking for a nice Italian pizza restaurant and I used Yelp as I usually do when in a new place. Very positive impressed by the quality of food I had. Pizza and Tiramisu reminded me Italy, where I was born and raised... Definitely a place where to go for a good Italian pizza.

This place is beautifully decorated, modern and clean. The neighborhood like others have stated is a little sketchy. The food is amazing. We make a yearly trip to Orlando for the hai and nail convention and we always make it a point to have dinner at Tartini. We love the crispy-chewy crust that is not thin and not thick. They use a wood fired oven that imparts a smoky charred flavor on the crust. The service is impeccable, always friendly and prompt.

Terrific non-chain neighborhood restaurant. Pizza's are delicious - I'm stuck on the Tartufo (mushroom) with truffle oil... Can't stop ordering it! Jonathan's service is top notch - he doesn't miss a beat. Friendly and helpful. Decent wine list to boot, I love my Meomi Pinot Noir.

Diamond in the ruff. The ruff being the area. I was driving through the area, starving, when what appeared from the outside to be a new modem resturant, among the old fast food artery clogging ones, jumped out. I made a u-turn, fearing it might me my last saviour in the area. Boy was I surprised as I entered, smelling the brick oven, and observing the clean relaxing style of the resturant. I was not disappointed by food. I saw something on the menu that I've never heard of before and for some reason I felt like I had to try it. What was it? Boiled eggs inside meatballs with pasta sauce. O.M.G! I'm hooked!!!!The the service and other menu items I had were good as well. I will definitely be back, and not just when I'm in the area. If you're looking for that hidden treasure and you love Italian food, I suggest you give them a try.

I was there with a group and we got pretty bad service. We were there over an hour and a half before any food came out, and my dish took and extra 15 minutes. The waitress seemed flustered and not super friendly. I've never stiffed a waitress before, but felt this visit was undeserving of a tip. Welp, gratuity was included and I was forced to pay for bad service. Anyways, I wasn't planning on coming back ever as it was, but now they get a bad yelp review too.

From the outside it looks like a great restaurant, and the menus have listed some very mouthwatering dishes; however the actual food itself really wasn't that great. Stopped by for dinner with my mother and younger brother, she got a salad and my brother and I both had soup which turned out more like broth with a few pieces of shredded chicken and celery, on top of that there we're only a few spoonfuls in the bowl. The salad wasn't bad however. I ordered the marsala and it was ok at best. Two tiny pieces of chicken with a sauce that was very watered down My brother had the chicken parmesan which he said was ok My mother ordered the veal picata which she sent back. The lemon was over powering and the veal was very tough. That wouldn't have been a problem because our server did his best to fix it, the issue I have is the manager never took the time to come out to rectify it himself after being informed on a night that wasn't busy. 2 stars because they had the Oregon vs FSU game on

Fantastic!! Everything was amazing from start to finish. The wait staff was friendly and they knew their stuff. We were seated immediately and were started off with drinks right away. My dad asked for beer recommendations and our waitress, Angela, was able to intelligently endorse Dogfish Head Sixty-One. My mom doesn't even like beer, but she'll admit THAT IS GOOD BEER. Even until the last minutes of our meal, Dad was raving about that GREAT BEER. When we ordered, Mom asked for specialties and, again, Angela provided. Our meals came in a reasonable amount of time and were presented beautifully. We ordered: margherita pizza, lobster ravioli, the Tartini pizza and spaghetti with bolognese sauce. The lobster ravioli practically melted in your mouth. Mom said, "I had to take a picture just in case this was the best meal I've had all vacation. Glad I did." The owner came by our table to greet his Cali guests. He was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Overall, everything was great- great environment, great food, great people & great vibes.

Fantastic Pizza place in Orlando! Service was excellent and the food was great. All imported ingredients and restaurant has two special ovens sent in from Italy that get the crust just right! Made me remember our trip to Italy some years back where the pizza was out of this world!! Will definitely come back!!

We went to today for dinner. Ordered musscle for appetizer and sauce was too think taste like straight from can tomato paste. Musscle self it's ok. I ordered bolognese pasta and sauce was little too sweet for me. My husband ordered chicken masala and he said ok. Waiter try to good service but every time he forgot to bring something( like spoon or folk) i don't yhink I'm come back here

What a great surprise. This whole place needs to pick up and move closer to downtown Orlando. It has the feel of an upscale, modern restaurant. Brought some family here for lunch and wasn't embarrassed at all. Parking is convenient and the service is attentive. Every piece of food we had was fresh and tasted great. We had the bruschetta and San Daniele pizza. Each item was something I could order daily. Only issue is that I don't really live close. Hope to be back soon or have a reason to be out there!

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! My family and I stopped in and only had a half hour to eat before getting to our flight. After taking a while to get to our table, our waitress proved to be spectacular! She didn't write anything down and she got all of our drinks, appetizers, and orders (which included multiple pasta dishes and two pizzas) in 10 minutes! Fantastic and a definite stop on our next Florida vacation.

They have a couple of bottles of wine for $20, delicious food, and a great antipasto platter. Tonight three of us ordered a bottle of Malbec, the antipasto platter for two, a caprese salad, and a pizza with chicken, pine nuts, and pesto. Everything was delicious and we took food home: reasonable prices, nice service and setting, I just wish they were slightly closer to home so they'd deliver to us. I'd love to come back and write a better, more descriptive review but for now this place is awesome for some decent Italian food and a great place to chill over wine and appetizers.

I'd been gone 6 years. My 1st Food Buddy (you never forget your first) tells me there is a new place in town that I HAVE to try. Tartini's. -- OH. MY. GOD. The antipasta platter is perhaps the best charcuterie I've had yet. And I've had some great charcuterie. The olive oil is unforgettable. So much so that we both left with bottles of it. We moved on to the Rusichella and Bufalina pizzas. Amazing. Best pizza I've had in ages (both). The decor is inviting. Love the open kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm just glad I'm about to move WAY closer because It's been a few months, and I'm jonesing. Photos of all 3 dishes attached...

I have been wanting to go here since it opened. My friends invited us to join them one night and I was glad they picked Tartini's. It's beautiful inside. The decor is very nice as well, inside and out. We sat in a booth and by the looks of it this place can accommodate large parties too. Even though it was full the booths were cosy. My Fiancé ordered pizza and my friends ordered pasta. I on the other hand had wine for dinner. They are a beer and wine only establishment. No ciders. They said they used to have a cider but no one ever ordered it. I had a bite of the pizza and it was delicious! Thin and crispy and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. My friends loved their pasta dishes which came with a wedge of focaccia, that i tried. It was delicious too. It was definitely house made. I can't wait to go back and have a meal here.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Great service as well. I enjoyed my Giardino gluten free pasta which had: Artichokes, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, in a pesto sauce. The portion sizes were pretty large, I had enough to take home for lunch the next day. I would go back.

It's a smaller sized restaurant. Nice atmosphere and bar area. Very slow service for ordering and then for getting the checks. The chicken picatta was average and came with extremely thick spaghetti which I'm not a fan of. The food was all lumped into one bowl. Overpriced for extemely so-so food. They removed 15% tip option and had 22% tip amount, a lot of nerve. No bread given to table. There are nice tv's sets strategically placed.

The first experience here was great! Good was good, proportions were just right, tasted great all around. Just got a to go order tonight and a beer at the bar while I waited. Tip #1 don't order alcohol! I was charged 6+ for a draft beer. Tip #2 don't order anything with shrimp in it! I ordered the Ricata entree and the shrimp it did include(3) were a rubbery chewy mess. Chicken was good, sauce was excellent. Looks like I might have to have a sit down meal here to cleanse myself if this bad memory.

This restaurant is in a very curious location not known for class or cuisine. The Tartini Pizzeria sticks out like a sore thumb! Strangely it is also the best Italian food place in Orlando and arguably one of the best in Florida. The stylish modern outside mirrors the inside: rock walls, earth tones, servers keenly attired in black business casual and a sleek black marble facade flanks the fiery oven. While very classy - the seats are also very comfortable and spacious, giving it a relaxed, homely feel without degrading the place into a rustic farce. The food is astonishing. For context I went with my beautiful woman and we shared everything. You are welcomed with with a serving of farinata and oil (the most delicious olive oil i've had!). Farinata is a type of flat bread or pancake from Genoa and Tartini offers a delicious twist on it; they are encrusted with a mouth watering spice rub and a bit of cheese- I kept asking for more! We decided on sharing a 12'' "Tartini" pizza and the pork chop entree. The pork chops came with a house salad - but we added an additional one so that we'd have one each. Tartini Pizzeria is apparently known for their pizza, and came under recommendation from a trusted friend and fellow Yelper - so that was a must. I am also a bonafide guinea from New York with a large portion of the family being Italian-American so I consider my judgment somewhat informed. The first course was salad. I normally don't say much about salad but I greatly enjoyed Tartini's. My Caesar salad was hearty, dark, fresh greens and was accompanied by a homemade ceasar sauce with creamy but not overwhelming overtones of garlic, and croutons of toasted bread bits. The 2nd course was the pizza, called the "Tartini" - perhaps their signature? While Florida is not known for it's Italian food or pizza it was superb and was covered in gourmet meats (including sopressata ham!). The most important element to any Italian - the sauce - was flavorful and vibrant, composed of fragrant, locally grown ingredients. The third course, the pork chops then arrived and were perfectly staggered by our friendly and savvy waitress. It was quite easy to share this entree as it was composed of two pork chops and a big medley of crunchy blackened, firm sweet, yellow and purple roasted potatoes. The pork chops may have been my favorite element as they were the best I have had: topped with broiled Gorgonzola cheese and edged by a crunchy espresso and spice rub they were absolutely mouth watering and perfectly succulent without being oily, a difficult balancing act. The composition of the broiled potatoes was also a masterwork: the crunchy blackened ones were heavily salted and contrasted with the sweet potato, while the blander white and purple potatoes provided a base to accompany the Gorgonzola cheese. We ended the meal with a final course of gelato encased in dark chocolate with cherries and candied cinnamon almonds. All in all we paid $50 which is very affordable considering the tremendous value this little gem offers. It may be off the beaten path but it is surely worth a diversion and will be my "go to" Italian food place in Orlando.

Oh sorry, I thought I walked into an airport bar from the number of TVs and F-ing TWO video monitors with advertisements! The atmosphere is a cross between Olive Garden and Walmart! As others have said I am really, really, really confused as to why the hell anyone would build a restaurant here?? However, the biggest disappointed of the evening was opening the blinds facing west to show a beautiful sunset, BUT STILL KEEPING THE DAMN TV'S ON!! So food wise, yep pretty good, however nothing that makes it worth a special trip, so it doesn't bring up my rating because I go to restaurants for the atmosphere also and I have plenty of big shiny TV's at home! Leave Winter Park for this??? Are you kidding?!?!!? Chef, you have OK talent, spend some time, or get an agent to find better locations, NOBODY is going to make this a destination restaurant, sorry! One more thing, if you brag that you do a 6oz pour on the wine (very generous) DON'T do a 4oz pour. I KNOW

First of all, I am giving 5 stars off the bat because this pizza experience for my family happened with a groupon! This place is out of our price range for a regular outing. We ordered two 18 inch pies, the waitress informed us we would get more for our $ doing this as opposed to getting the meter pizza (50 inch) which is initially why we were going! We got the 4 cheese & a pepperoni and they were DELICIOUS! Cooked to perfection & the crust was delicious. Slices were huge & my family of 4 ended up taking almost a whole pie home for leftovers. My hubby & I ordered an organic dark ale & it was delicious ($5 each), more then reasonable for an organic beer! Ok so price breakdown we purchased the $32 for 60 groupon. I had a $10 off $20 groupon purchase, so $22 worth of food & drinks for $60. Got 2 18 inch pies, 2 organic beers & 2 sodas, the restaurant bill came to .63 cents & we left a nice tip!!! So obviously we made out like champions! Without the groupon it would have been $70 inc. Tip. Anyways all in all amazing experience for us!!

Just ate at Tartini last night and must say it was a very enjoyable experience. The calamari appetizer and pizza were crisp and flavorful..(I had the Mediterranean style pizza), and the service was perfect. A very tasteful decor and pleasant ambiance too. I highly recommend this Edgewood gem for a casual yet stylish night out.

Great decor and top notch service. The pizza was extra fresh. I'd definitely recommend trying this if you haven't already. The prices are higher than your typical pizza place, but the quality of the food and the service certainly justify it.

I had high hopes for Tartini's and after eating there the first time I was pleased with the food and service. However after inviting family to accompany us on our second trip we were very disappointed the service was slow and one of the orders came out incorrect twice, and both times the manager handed the server the corrected item without even acknowledging the mistake. As a follow up I sent a personal email to the Manager explaining my disappointment and again he never bothered to reply. For this restaurant to survive in a small area like Belle Isle it will need a management change or change of attitude. I would not recommend this place and I will not be back.

Be prepared to wait a long time for food if you're with a big party and you'll also sweat your ass off. I'd review the food but we've been waiting for almost an hour and a half. The place is generally packed, but only because there are no other restaurants in the area.

First of all, when it's a girl's night out, everyone is in a great mood and the food most always matches the mood. Tartini was chosen by one of the group. Parking is good as was the atmosphere in the restaurant. This restaurant seems out of its element in that stretch of Orange Avenue which hosts car lots, some "gnarly" bars, Dunkin Donuts, etc. On the plus side was the calarmari appetizer which was lightly battered and tasty. One of the group ordered pizza which I must admit was probably one of the best tasting crusts but barely had any toppings or tomato sauce. It was kind of like eating just crust and cheese. The toppings were very sparse and I mean VERY sparse if on the pizza at all. Prices on the pizzas were on the high side in comparison to other "brick oven" goumet pizza restaurants. The pasta dishes were also pricey considering that no salad (come on all Italian restaurants serve some kind of salad with meals) was included with a $15 non-overflowing bowl of pasta. Let me just say that when women order pasta, a doggie bag is usually standard but this was not the case as all bowls were finished. A plus was that tables were brought a flat/pita type bread with some dipping herb oil which was fresh and a nice touch. All in all, I wish that I could give this welcome addition to south Orlando more stars but I just can't at this point. I will try it again. Oh and the cheapest house wine was almost $8 along with sangria. There is not a full bar--just beer and wine.

Waited for this place to open for a while. I was excited when it did and have tried it twice. Both times have been a disappointment . On our first visit I tried to order a pepperoni pizza and was told they don't have just a pepperoni pizza that you have to buy a pizza with pepperoni on it as one of the items and take the remaining items off for the same price. On the second visit I tried pasta since the pizza was such a hassle and ordered the Bolognese and when we got it home it looked like a kids order. I also think the menu lacks dinners unless you are after a specialty pizza.

Ordered the Tartini pizza and stipulated "please do not cook it dark" our server assured us it would be perfect!....."not burnt." This 18 inch pie looked like dusty charcoal on the bottom and around the crust and it tasted bitter........it had no cheese on about a quarter of each slice, a paper-thin slice of peperoni on every-other slice and had about seven v-e-r-y t-h-i-n shavings of sausage over the entire pie. Come on folks, put toppings on there; we didn't order a dry old flat bread. This pizza-burning ritual appears to be common; at the end of the long-row where we sat (facing the back-booths) was a couple that had their pizza replaced with a more moderately cooked pizza. The one at their table was darker than ours...it was black. If I'd been the mgmt I would first of all never let that leave the kitchen, secondly I would have removed it from the table immediately when they insisted we cook a new pizza. But, no, the staff left it there incase "they wanted to nibble until their good pizza came out" and....then it would be boxed because "they were welcome to take it home". Folks, when you cremate the crust you are ruining its taste; your "special crust ingredients" have gone down the drain.....they can't be tasted. The service has improved but, with food this unapealing and uninspiring we have no plans to return. I want to like this place but they're making it very dificult. If they put as much effort into accurately cooking as they did the building-they'd have a gold mine but the two are polar opposites.

Myself and my wife have been saying for the last two months that we must try this restaurant. The exterior is fresh and clean with a number of small tables outside as for the interior in very modern and warm, a bar /lounge area and banquette are separated by a low wall allowing a full view of all that is going on, the wood burning oven apparently is the only one in the USA and has a stone surface which revolves as well as raising and lowering this helps to create some really good pizzas. We finally decided to try it out on Friday evening but just incase I decided to try their lunch time menu I decided on something light if we were to return later so I ordered the Soup and Tuna Panini the soup was a light chicken and vegetable the Panini followed and the taste was really good being made up of Tuna with onions, provolone cheese and mayonnaise, Ashley my server was very attentive and made sure that everything was to my liking, Just before I left I meet the owner who asked if everything was good, What can I say other than can I book a table for this evening. Myself and my wife returned the same evening and we were greeted by David the owner and shown to our table by Ashley, who was our server again she was very knowledgeable about the wines which was a pleasant surprise. I decided to try the Primitivo a Rich Ruby wine medium bodied. I started with the Calamari Fritti this has zucchini & cherry peppers with Lemon aioli the added flavors livened up a normally basic dish. For our Main dishes my wife ordered the Alfredo pasta with the added chicken which was well seasoned, I ordered the with garlic oil, chicken, artichoke, roasted red peppers, onions, olives and feta cheese. We finished off with the Gelato sampler this consisted of 6 different flavors On the table net to us was a party off four and they had the 1 meter (39.37 inches) long pizza this is a huge pizza and would be excellent for a group they had split the toppings The thing about our meal was that it was hot and well cooked. This is a must try restaurant.

Hands down best Italian-style pizza in Orlando! Never lets us down. Our favorite is the Pizza Rustichella. We eat here at least once a week.

I would say that Tartini is in fact, an oddly out of place restaurant, given the location, but don't let that stop you from checking it out. They take pizza making very seriously here. This restaurant would be right at home in Downtown Orlando, or even Winter Park. The building itself is sleek and chic with a classy looking field stone overlay on the outside. Once you go inside of Tartini, you are encompassed in a modern Italian design of dark woods, concrete floors and large sliding glass doors that open up to the outside. Of course, the centerpiece here is the very special Pizza Oven. All pies are baked in a unique wood-fired oven with a large turntable that simultaneously lifts and rotates the dough. It is rumored to be the only oven of its kind in the U.S.

Stunning interior, friendliest server in town. Pizza dough flavor great. Meats and cheeses imported from Italy! Our server claimed that the Wood fired, high temp oven is the only one in Florida! Well, I don't know about that, but I can tell ya that it makes a perfectly cooked pizza. Slightly crispy on the bottom, yet still nicely chewy, and not even slightly soggy. Tomatoe sauce? Great flavor, great taste. Ok, that does it! Now, I'm drooling. I'm upping them to a rare 5 stars. Only thing I'd hold a half star back from them for is, well.... 10" pizza for 12.95. Seems slightly steep. Just saying.

I've been wanting to check this place out every since they opened. It is a beautiful building inside and out. There is a nice outside patio area also. Parking was a problem for us. Their lot is very small. My husband and I stopped in on a busy Saturday night, which meant the lot was completely full. We ended up parking down the side of the road. It also was completely muddy, so my advice would be to watch where you are parking. Even though they were very busy, we were still seated at a table inside immediately. They have a nice wine menu but their beer selection is lacking. Their menu isn't very large but they have a nice selection. My husband ordered a pizza, and I went with a veggie eggplant dish. Since mine was a dinner entree, it came with a salad and bread. The salad was a basic dinner salad, but I wasn't impressed with their bread. I feel Italian places really need to have good bread. My meal was excellent. It was also big enough for leftovers the next day. My husband also said the pizza was very good. Our server was very nice and efficient. She gave me several suggestions on what to order once I mentioned I didn't eat meat. The prices here are a little bit more than some other Italian places, but I think the atmosphere, service, and food make up for that.

Looking for local gems and stumbled upon this one while on vacation. We had the margherita and romana pizzas, caprese salad, and Caesar salad (which is HUGE--basically two heads of romaine with dressing, cheese and croutons), chocolate cake, and cannoli. We will be back next time we visit.

Enjoyed this hidden gem! The owner is Italian, the ambiance is modern-rustic and Euro and the pizza crust was perfect, just like in Italy! Enjoyed the cappuccino and the chili, the soup of the day, was very good. The personal size pizza is plenty for one person. The owner stopped over to chat and we enjoyed getting to know him and how this place came to be. He shared plans to open a new place in Lake Nona, which will be a perfect fit! I will def return on my next trip.

My second visit! I love it! A pretty place and the food is really good! I am an up north transplant and have traveled extensively through Italy, they hold their own! First visit, we ordered the calamari, really really good! Also had the San Danielle(?) pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza was the shining star. That's what prompted our second visit! A must try!

Crazy good pizza. Crust is thin and crispy, yet tender and soft. Very nice tomato sauce and very good quality mozzarella. I also got some eggplant parmigiana to go. I will update this once I try the eggplant. Okay, so I had a little surprise when I opened up my to go box. However, this was entirely my fault. Instead of eggplant parmigiana, what I found was an eggplant parmigiana sub. I went back and looked at the menu later and discovered that the sandwich was the only dish on the menu they call eggplant parmigiana. The entree' dishes that have with eggplant are actually named by the Italian for eggplant, melanzane, so "melanzane ala parmigiana". Now this is a subtle distinction, so I kind of wish the young lady who took my order had asked if I wanted the sandwich or the entree'. However, I understand the confusion since I was there at the end of their lunch time. Either way, the sandwich was delicious. The eggplant was nice and thin and slathered with some of their tasty tomato sauce and lots of their scrumptious mozzarella cheese. So, once reheated in the toaster oven for a few minutes, the sub was just fantastic. So, I really have no complaints but I thought it might be a good lesson for when you are ordering eggplant dishes at Tartini's. Oh, and the service is truly spectacular! I will be returning soon to take my sweetie for some pizza or pasta.

I always forget about this place, even though it's very close to my job. Wonderful pizza with all fresh ingredients, mostly imported from Italy. The fresh mozzarella is amazing. The cannoli for desert is to die for. The waiter did forget to bring my husbands side salad, but the charge did not appear on our bill. A little pricey but worth it because the food is so delicious. This was our second visit. I must remember to go there more often.

We had a party of five on one of the few really cool weather evenings. Our server was in a word, distracted. The other servers seamed to manage just fine. They were out of the first bottle of wine we ordered, and the server suggested the next one of of the same type Malbec, for just a few dollars more. I said, then just charge us the same price, he said he checked they wouldn't, looking for another wine we noticed the suggested bottle was double the first, not a chance. All five entrees were great, the service was ok, not stellar. When the check came he reminded me there was no "service charge" on the check, oh, and he did forget our to go order, so we waited for that. Overall it's a great place if you are on that end of Orlando.

I rarely write reviews on here but tonight this restaurant made me upset. I ordered food at 7:30 for delivery at my hotel and it's now 8:40, received a call stating the driver attempted to call and knock on my hotel room. I haven't moved since I called no one called or knocked. In order to get my food they asked for my credit card even though I was paying cash. If I answered their call why would I ignore the previous one. The guy was not polite and I ended up just canceling my order. So I wouldn't recommend delivery at a hotel after this experience.

I've been there often enough to have had a variety of items from their menu. The pizza is good, and if you have a large group they have a square pie that is 1 meter long. On two occasions I ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and I had to send it back to cook more. "Crisp is tasty Rubber sucks ". The salads are bountiful and tasty. The pasta with bolognese sauce was good as well. They have a nice wine selection as well. All in all it's worth a trip.

First visit. Two in our party. Staff was friendly and food was good. Will go back. Ordered the marinara pasta with meatballs and tartini pizza. Side salad was served in a chilled bowl. Balsamic vinaigrette had a nice basil flavor. The pizza crust was thin and not super chewy. Spaghetti was tasty. Overall, a nice dining experience.

Excellent service, fantastic pizza. We ordered an 18 inch which was more than enough for two people. We had chicken, broccoli, mushrooms and basil on our pizza. All the toppings were fresh and well portioned. We also ordered the chocolate moose cake which was good but nothing special. Well worth the price and would definitely visit again. We also ordered the sangria which was delicious but not strong enough.

I'm giving 2 stars because of my previous experience there was good.So I'm in town and want to take the wife there because I enjoyed the food from my past visit and the wife loves pasta. Went in this past weekend for Father's Day evening walked in and the hostess sat us down and said our waitress will be with us shortly mind you the place was not busy at all a table with a party and a couple of other tables with guest. So we waited and no server no water or any thing after 5 minutes then 10 minutes or so later nothing and a couple walks in with babies in arms were seated immediately and orders taken that's when I got up and told the hostess wow thanks for the service and told her we were leaving and not to worry about it I was going to speak to the manager but decided just to walk out... We were totally ignored while we sat and waited

OMG! This was the best pizza I've ever had! I get the carbonara pizza every time I go to Orlando. I wish I would have known about this place when I lived there! The staff is hit or miss, but I get delivery or do pick up. The first time I called the woman who answered the phone was really rude. The delivery driver said she was pregnant and kind of cranky. That was an understatement. I almost decided not to finish my order from the way she spoke to me. But it was so good! I'm glad I did.

First, and most importantly, the pizza is AMAZING! Went in with a couple friends and we ordered a 1m pizza. Yes, a full meter! 39+ inches of amazing pizza! It was BIG! Ok, you get it. You can get the 1m pizza made a couple different ways so you don't have to keep eating the same delicious type the whole time. You can eat other delicious types every other piece! Honestly, that's all that matters. Had good (not great) service from our waitress & had a couple guys (owner/chef/manager?) come by to make sure we were well taken care of. Did we wait around wondering where our waitress was a couple times? Yes. Was it unreasonably long? No. Did we have plenty to drink & was it refilled quickly? Yes. Regarding that odd review about too many TVs... I think there are a total of 6 in there. A couple were tuned to the Food Network & a couple to ESPN. They weren't in my face and the volume wasn't even turned on, so I don't understand why they're a problem. Overall, amazing experience!

Once again, Yelp has come through for me and my friends. We met like ships passing in the night (well, passing through Orlando from other air travels) here for pizza and wine. I loved the atmosphere and architectural details at the bar. There were sliding glass panels open to the outside, which was a great touch. Things started off a bit rocky, with our server very overwhelmed by the unexpected Monday night crowd that we had come in among. But after about 15 minutes, she found her bearings, and the rest of the visit was great. Pretty good wine selection that was appreciated by all, but the calamari was really what stunned us early on. Perfectly fried, not greasy at all, the perfect texture that is often missed with calamari, and some fried zucchini thrown into the mix. Our table had the Tartufo, Rustichella, and Pollo alla Milanese with no complaints from anyone. I did notice my companions needing to add salt, but better than it having too much. The Caesar salad was also a stand-out, with a really lovely mild Caesar dressing that I'd love to have at home. We decided to try the desserts, ordering the Nutella Cheesecake, as well as the Limoncello cake. The Nutella was good, no disappointment, though I wouldn't say that it improves at all on the spread. In fact, I'd probably rather have just had Nutella offered with some hard rolls like they do in Europe. The Limoncello cake, however, was INCREDIBLE. So light, fluffy, creamy, citrus-y but without being tart. I don't think any of us were expecting to be so bowled over by it (especially at a table of Nutella lovers) but more than one "Wow" was uttered. I'd attribute part of its amazingness to the mascarpone that makes Tiramisu so delicious. A wonderful surprise ending to a delicious meal.

First review from an avid Yelp user. Terrific restaurant close to Orlando airport. Upscale decor and great atmosphere. Food is perfect if looking for straight-forward, simple italian food. Prices reasonable including wine list. Ashley was very helpful with the menu & didnt make me feel weird (like most places I like) because I am a business traveler therefore I am eating alone. No chain or fast food for me. I will admit to being picky but don't want to expense my company an arm & a leg because of it. I had pizza with arugula, pesto, mushrooms with great italian wine. Meal approx $22. Bonus!!! Couldn't be happier to run across thisplace and will definitely be back when in town. I hear they are having a grand opening for a second location. Congrats!!!

Returned again with Groupon. Service was great. Food was great. Fried cheese appetizer is the best we ever had. Desserts of Chocolate Mousse cake and Tiaramisu were done very well. The attention to detail at this place and the clean, well coordinated decor and staff really make it an upscale atmosphere for reasonable prices. The lasagna also was a hit with fresh basil and wine flavors throughout the dish.

Not our first time in but got one of the deals they had on Travelzoo. Pizza was outstanding as always. Crust is thin and crispy and toppings were just right. Not too much but just enough. Service was prompt and friendly. Looking for a true Northeast style thin crust pizza I would highly recommend making the trip here.

Stopped here on a recommendation from a friend. I was immediately impressed by the decor and atmosphere. Classy and cozy but welcoming and not pretentious. The prices are comparable to any good restaurant in O-Town. I started with the Calamari. It was easily the best I've ever had. Then I moved onto the chicken scaloppini where the chicken was laid on a bed of fresh home made pasta. It was crazy good. The beer and wine selection were impressive. 5 beers on tap and about 20 or so in bottle. The owner introduced himself and he and the bartender/waiter were super personable. I highly recommend tartini. I'll be back for sure.

Excellent food and service!! I will definitely be back. Had the arugula salad and mozzarella sticks to start. Unlike most salads - this on stands out! Next time I'll order a whole one for myself. Mozzarella sticks were good but they are not my thing to begin with so I'll try something else next time. Had the pesto/mushroom/truffle pizza -AWESOME. I'm not the biggest pesto fan so it says a lot that I lived this. Ended with Nutella cheesecake - also wonderful. Our waiter, Jonathon was excellent- I will ask for him again next time. Came here Friday night and writing this review has me Jonesing for more... I'll be back... Twice in one weekend!

What's a place this amazing doing in Edgewood?! I don't know, but I am thankful as all get out. Tartini is potentially in the top 5 pizzerias in the entire city. And it's a gorgeous venue. I tried the Diavola pizza which contains the lovely marriage of hot soprasata, cherry peppers and pepperoni. The pizza was mindblowingly good! The wood oven makes the crust heavenly. There are so many other pizzas I want to try. Having only tried one, it's early to review, but the quality and so many other factors are apparent there was no need to wait. Mangiamo!

We ended up stopping in here after another place known for craft beer/sandwiches down the road had no parking. Tartini was busy, but we could find a parking spot at least. The server was nice and attentive. Waters were kept full, food came out at a good pace, and overall we had a nice time. For our meal we had the mussels and a pizza with prosciutto and arugula. The mussels were great. Made in a nice tomato sauce, they give you plenty and some bread to dip as well. The pizza was fantastic. Good thin crust, nice sauce, the right amount of cheese and the toppings were fresh and well-distributed. If you're in the area, check it out. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth the price.

It all started with the table. There sat the elegant and sophisticated Parmesan cheese cap. A perfect plastic cover allowed a steady stream of powder to flow from the capsule of deliciousness. Next came a scrumptious appetizer of mozzarella sticks. Perfectly cooked and amazingly paired with a sweet sauce. The eggplant parmesan was wonderfully prepared with a mound of cheesy goodness and left me wanting more. In fact, I plan on returning tomorrow. Delicious!

While the food looks gorgeous on the plate, I found it to be pretty average. I wasn't impressed with the service. At non-peak hours we had to wait long for refills, extra napkins or utensils etc. Tom is right about the TVS, an addition that I just don't understand. At the bar, sure, I guess, but in the dining area; what's the point? Can't people eat in peace for 30 minutes without being accosted by another screen to stare at? We ordered bruschetta and the bread was incredibly hard and almost impossible to bite through. We scraped off the topping and ate that, the server didn't remark on it. The bianca pizza was incredibly greasy but pretty good - I still prefer nearby Flippers variety when ordered "well done". I like the location and the decor but everything else is just "meh".

The service was good for a busy night. Although my son asked for chocolate milk and the server said they only had white milk. This is odd because dessert came out with chocolate syrup all over it. More on that later. We started out with Calamari. It was excellent, I loved the addition of zuccini and peppers. My son had pizza, best of the entrees. The chicken dishes were under seasoned and the pasta dish was pretty dry. For dessert we got cannoli and taramisu. They were good, I don't think homemade. We did not like the chocolate syrup all over both of them.

Tartini is an upscale pizza and Italian restaurant in Belle Isle. Or is it in Pine Castle?* I was quite smitten by the richness of the decor, which included blonde fieldstone walls at the entrance and along the back wall; elsewhere, a beautiful wall of wines lain sideways and perfectly aligned; a divider of big flowers in clear glass vases; and rich brown semi-rustic tables. The appearance of the restaurant was uncluttered and classy. But then there's the matter of the televisions. You can't get away from them. They almost turn an otherwise classy restaurant into a classy sports bar. For lunch I ordered a "pizzetta," a nicely-sized portion of pizza. It was a thin-crust cheese pizza with a choice of one other topping, plus a side salad or soup for $9.95 -- quite a bargain. I chose a topping of mushrooms and added anchovies for an extra buck. The salad was simple and satisfying. And though the thin-crusted pizza isn't likely to be an award-winner, it too was pleasing. There were a couple of nods to environmental consciousness. They don't bring water to your table unless you ask for it. More restaurants should follow that rule. And those of us with low-emission cars can park closer to the entrance. (But when I think about it, maybe high-emission cars should park closer, making the low-emission guys drive farther, therefore fewer emissions are emitted.) Speaking of parking, it could get tight. There was a decent lunch crowd, but the place wasn't packed; yet the parking lot was nearly filled. Maybe they have overflow parking somewhere. * It's in Pine Castle.

I came here not eating what I was thinking I was going to eat. My waiter kept on making me change my mind. Not that it was a bad thing. I normally don't like artisan style pizza because I am more of a Chicago style pizza guy, but the waiter assured me that I would like it. I ordered the Pizza Margherita with added pepperoni and I definitely enjoyed it. Now either, I am getting use to the artisan style pizzas because more and more places are doing that. Or maybe the pizza was just that good. So I was going to leave satisfied. Then my waiter talked me into getting a desert. I never get desert, but he assured me that I would like the Tiramisu. And guess what, I ordered it. I really enjoyed the Tiramisu. This waiter is good. I will have to find a way to stop his power over my mind the next time I come here. The only bad thing I guess you can say is that the parking seems to be very limited. i don't know where you would park if the place is at capacity. Good thing I came at a slow time.

I've driven by this place many times and finally went to eat dinner. So glad I did. The pizza was delicious. The atmosphere was great. Decor was modern and comfortable. There are tvs, but they are all volume turned down, with captions on, with a light music playing. There were 4 of us, and we ordered the meter long pizza. Yes, you read correctly, a meter long. Between 4 of us, we didn't even finish it! One thing I do wish I had known was that you can get different kinds of pizza on the meter long, as long as the sauce is the same. If you are looking for a plain cheese or pepperoni pizza, this isn't the place, they've got delicious gourmet pizzas. I can't wait to go back and try another kind!

Gross! My Bolognese was drowned in cinnamon...blecht! Our Limoncello cake had mold - they took it off the tab, but no apology from manager...was going to go back to try the pizza - but I'll just skip!

I was driving South on Orange on my way to pick up a friend for dinner when I saw this place. It stands out in its surroundings as it was well lit and much more modern looking than most of its neighbors. When we pulled up the first thing we noticed was that it was busy and parking sucks. After walking in the first thing we noticed was the decor: very nice, very modern. But this review isn't about the decor, it's about the service and food. We did stand there a bit before anyone came over to seat us but they did apologize for the delay and were up front that the kitchen was going to be slow, but we appreciated the honesty. We ordered the 18" Margherita to split between 3 people which was moderately priced at $21. Not bad. We also ordered the Zuppa Toscana ( I don't remember the price). After about 10 minutes the Toscana came out VERY hot and VERY salty, which is saying something because I have a high salt tolerance. I don't think I'd get this again. Since none of us had eaten here I wanted to order something very simple to see if they could pull it off, so we ordered the Margherita. When the pizza came out, it looked great and we were already to dig in. Luckily it did not disappoint. We were VERY pleased with the taste overall. Personally I'd like the basil to be a little fresher but that's nitpicking. Overall pizza was very good, service was a little slow but they were honest about things being slow because they were overwhelmed, and the atmosphere was very nice. In a sea of "Italian" restaurants out there, this was worthy of note and I would go out of my way to eat here.

Tried it for the first time after getting a Groupon. I'm glad I did! the food is good and reasonably priced. I see they also have gluten free options, which is a big plus.

Great pizza. Try the pesto truffle mushroom. Mussels appetizer was great as well and big enough for a meal.

I will start off by saying, the service was great. The food was great as well, we had Tartufo pizza, Calamari, canoli, Italian cream cake and some fine vine. I recommend this place and it's beautiful decor. Go there and enjoy.

Great atmosphere, delicious food. We had the sangria (very yummy), 2 pizzas which were really good, and a seriously delicious chocolate cake. We also had the calamari, which I liked a lot, but my husband thought it was basic. The prices are a tad high for pizza and pasta, but overall, the food was really good. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Finally it opened! We have been keeping an eye for tatrtinis ever since we saw the sign go up. We started with a couple of Sangrias and the calimari appetizer. The sangria was very good but I though they could have use less fruits and more wine but very deliciuos nonetheless! The calamari is served with a Lemon Aioli and it was awesome! We all agreed that the calamari appetizer was a winner. The pizza came next and they were all amazing, this place is now up there in my list as the top 3 favorite pizza in Orlando. All ingridient are supposedly imported from Italy, whether is true or just a hype-up strategy It made no diffence as the end result was outstanding. I had the Tartini pizza I asked if I could substitute the sausage for pancetta and add some gorgonzola on top and they obliged! It was the best pizza I've had in years. My wife ordered the Rustichella and the mother in-law ordered the Primavera. I got to taste both of their pizza and they were amazing too! I really have no complaints in the pizza department. OUTSTANDING. On my second visit I wanted to try the pasta so I ordered the carbonara and I really wasn't impressed. It was good but it on was a little on the bland side. The sauce had a creamy consistency and the pasta was cooked perfectly but just not enought flavor on its own. Only when I got a chunk of pancetta was when I actually enjoyed it. I'll give it another try later and update. Everyone was super nice and attentive, prices are fair. I'm really digging Tartini, they are a great addition to the area and the food is great. I hope they stick around for a while and if they keep making pizza like that I'm sure that they will! Highly recommended.

Pretty good pizza! The decor of this place is hip and classy. The menu is pretty great. My husband who is a picky eater (and we are changing that) was able to get something pretty basic, while I was able to get a pizza that was more interesting. Everyone I was with liked what they chose and we left full and happy.

Great restaurant at a more than affordable cost. They have a great menu with subtle changes every few months. Everyone will have an opinion on the food (I personally think it is awesome, specifically some of their pizzas and Mac and cheese) but one thing no one can say is bad things about the service. The owner is an awesome friendly guy, as well as every server I have met so far. I bring all my friends here

This was the first time I've been here and I will definitely come back. The staff was very friendly, it looked really nice, and the food was great. Before the meal they bring out some bread, which isn't like what you would find in most Italian restaurants. It looks different and tastes much better. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was amazing. It came with two pieces of their bread. You will not leave this place hungry. I don't think the price was too bad for what we got. $47.50 for Chicken Alfredo and an 18" Tartini Pizza with 3 drinks. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

So, you are wondering what kind of dining options there are in Belle Isle? Dunkin Donuts? McDonalds? Well there is another, very tasty and kind of classy, option that deserves your look. It is Tartini's. The building itself is a little different. Low slung, with very nice stone work on the entire facade. There are actually four business offices in this little plaza, but the restaurant is the largest on the end. Parking can be a challenge, so you may ahve to park on a side street - or if you have a low emission car (like my Volt) then you can take one of the two spots up front. The interior is of Modern Italian design. Dark wood. Stone. Concrete floor. Walls ranging from orange to pale blue-grey. When you walk in, look up, that is a Chihuly style chandelier. It may be a knock off, but it is still a stunning addition and fits nicely. Bar up front, with high top seating, more traditional seating in the back half. A large pizza oven on the far wall makes for a bit of dining entertainment. There are also large windows, which keep it open in spite of the dark wood. They also have a lot of televisions, even in the back dining area, which is a bit distracting but considering how some people can't go out without seeing their precious sports, I will over look that. This is a pizza and pasta place. A small list of appetizers with a nice Ensalada Mista with lettuce, egg, olives, chickpeas and red wine vinaigrette that is just right. The Caesar Salad is served with whole leaves and dressed with a creamy dressing. The Bolognese is just like you would find in a home kitchen. Nice pasta with a simple sauce of tomato, beef, pork, carrots and other seasonings. Remember, this is an accompanying sauce, not one to drown your pasta in. They do it right. The Carbonara tasted and looked more like an Alfredo - they are different - so I hope that they work more on that. It was good, just did not feel or taste like a Carbonara. The pizzas are excellent and my favorite is the Siciliana pizza. Peppers, salami, sausages, cheeses and sauce that has a nice heat and bite, but not too much. The crust was good, but could be a little more crunchy on the bottom. They also have a nicely appointed wine list, with affordable options and even good beers on tap. Overall a very nice dining experience that we will continue to visit. Loo Review- Nicely appointed facilities. Big single stall on the men's side with a wall unit as well. Good use of space and mirrors. My wife said that the women's facility had some nice art work as well. High end sinks and appliances, mostly. One thing, when you have a nice design like this, spring for the Kohler fixtures.

Don't waste your time, we've made six (worthless) trips and every single time four or five in our party have food that goes back to the kitchen.... for a variety of reasons. We won't waste any more money trying to like the place.

Beautiful decor. Friendly staff. Yummy bread. Had the bolognese. It was pretty good.. The Tartini pizza was a bit high on the sodium side however. Overall not a bad dining experience. If I could make one recommendation it would be to add music and a partition to seperate the bar area from the dining area.

We have passed this restaurant for more than six months. My thoughts were, "Oh, just another Italian Ristorante / Pizzeria - these places are a dime a dozen." I really had no intention of ever stopping here. Last week I went the big chain Italian restaurant because I specifically wanted spaghetti. I was disappointed with the quality and taste so I still wanted some "GOOD" pasta. My wife and I passed Tartini on the way to complete a business meeting and on the way home she suggested that we stop in and give them a try. I was hesitant but decided "why not". I noticed that there were only 3 open spots in the parking lot on a Tuesday night. "Maybe the locals like this place" I thought. We were greeted pleasantly at the door by Bianca. She made us feel comfortable right away and ushered us into this beautifully furnished and decorated dining area. I felt like I was in a classy Italian club from a movie set. Gabriella (Gabby) was our server and she was quick to offer suggestions and explain things about the menu. We had the Calamari (very good). I still didn't have pasta. We selected a pizza from the menu with chicken and spinach (Fiorentino). We added artichoke hearts. It was the best pizza I have had in years. We joked with a group at a nearby table. The whole place was very comfortable and seemed to have an aura of a fun friendly place. Fully one half of the back wall was completely stocked with wine in a simple but elegant display. We are looking forward to sharing our new find with friends. Our server strongly recommended reservations if we wanted to come on a Friday or Saturday evening. I think that will probably be a good tip to follow. Tartini has moved to my top 3 restaurant choices for Orlando. You must try the Romana pizza (chicken, pesto and pine-nuts. I have also since had the pasta several times. I like a simple spaghetti with meat sauce. I like that I ran out of noodles and still had plenty of sauce left. They readily provided additional noodles and I took leftovers home for lunch the next day. I also like that the side salads are small enough to not overfill you before your meal arrives. They also provide flatbread with garlic infused olive oil before your meal arrives. They will bring more if you ask for it.

I checked out Tartini's a couple months ago and really enjoyed everything. The pizza has a thin but perfect crust, yum. They also have Gelato which is so flavorful. I had the lemon gelato and it was mouth puckering with a great sweet and tangy lemon flavor. I absolutely recommend checking this place out.

Excellent food! Nice atmosphere! Only issue is that for such a nice place they should not have paper napkins and plastic glasses...

I love the modern decor with warm wood ceiling and a backdrop of wine bottles. The pizza was good, thin crusted and fresh tasting sauce. Comes in third to Flippers and Mellow Mushroom though.

I've had my eye on this place since i saw the sign go up in the newly renovated plaza. And finally the wait has come to an end and I'm pleased that Belle Isle has a new, palatable restaurant. The last Belle Isle restaurant that opened fell way short so this is a much needed addition. The decor is modern and beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the food is tasty. On our first visit we both ordered pastas. Now, with Spaghetteria being part of the name I'd love to see more pasta choices on the menu but the dishes we had were very good. I had Pasta Del Giardino. It had a lovely pesto sauce and vegetables: artichoke, mushrooms, tomoato and zucchini served with 2 think slices of bread - all of it was great. My boyfriend had the Alfredo and it was delish! The alfredo sauce was warm, rich and amazing. I will definitely be ordering this on my own some time. We also had a bruschetta to start . They have a sizable wine list and several beers to choose from as well. We have also ordered a pizza to go. it was filled with delicious ingredients but I wish we had eaten it hot and fresh out of the oven because it just wasn't the same. This is definitely a place to check out whether you live in the neighborhood or you're just passing through.

I have been driving past this place and watching it being built and waiting patiently to try it out for what seems forever.. the day finally arrived and my partner and I managed to make it down there to check it out. Very impressed.. My other half is extremely hard to please when it comes to Pizza's, well to be fair, when it comes to dining out period. He travels for a living and has experienced most cuisines in most countries. I'm pleased to report that I think we could be revisiting this place again, I saw him smile. I ordered the 10" Tartini pizza which was Salami, Soppressata, Pepperoni and Buffalo Cheese and at $13.25 I really can't fault it I found it delicious. I'm usually not a fan of thin crusted pizzas they can tend to be more like a flat bread too crispy but this one had the right amount of crispiness but managed to still have a soft dough texture just right in my opinion. He had the 10" Margherita pizza which was Sliced Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella and Fresh Basil for $12.25 again cooked very well. He did mention that he would have preferred if they had julienned the basil so he had a little with every bite but it was more of a comment than a moan. They claim to make the pasta fresh every morning so next time we visit I'm tempted to go for a pasta dish although the pizza will be hard to stay away from. The interior design is very modern but comfortable at the same time you are very tempted to eat your pizza with a knife and fork so you fit in but at the end of the day it's still pizza and some things are just ment to be eaten with your hands. All around a very nice refreshing new restaurant I wish them all the best and will be sure to return.

Service kitchen and decor same or better, but now sat in three different seating areas and realize the same problem as PFChang and many other stone floored estb; I cannot hear beyond the clamor! Few reviews elaborate on ambient noise, but I'm audibly isolated from anyone else at the table!

Hip joint in Pinecastle! Went here on Saturday and split the meat pizza pie with family. We loved the meats and sauce... I think it's a wood-re oven. Then topped it off with the Lemoncello Cake!

Pizza = great Pasta (macaroni for he italians)= good Apps= good Beer selection = decent Dessert = good Great little neighborhood restaurant. Note that i didn't call it a pizzeria. The silverware alone brings this place up a notch at least. The pizza is not "NY style", however is still Neapolitan, just of the gourmet variety. We had chocolate cake for dessert and it was good. chocolatey, but not overly so. You knew you were eating chocolate cake, not trying to mainline cocoa a-la Death-by-chocolate. The manager was receptive to feedback about our waiter, Raymond or Ramon. Yes, I had to give feedback about the waiter, and not a compliment. The other wait staff was very nice, smiley and courteous. TV's placed appropriately so you can see. The pizza oven and prep area are in the open so you can see your pie being crafted. That was better entertainment than the TVs. Parking gets tight as the place gets crowded, be prepared to park in the street. We are going back to get the 3 meter pizza.... with at least a few friends.

Update: With the help of Groupon or the like, we ended up here last friday. They were SLAMMED busy. Not much different to report from our first experience. Salad is still good and still served on an impossibly narrow plate. We did get fresh plates for our pizza this time around, so that's gotta be worth something. I asked our server if the pizza could be cooked with a crispy bottom and she said yes. The pizza arrived and the crust (which I'm now guessing must be their way of cooking it) was not crispy. It's not raw, but I prefer some crunch out of the crust. Don't get me wrong, the pie was still delicious, I don't recall the name but it had roasted tomatoes, a cured meat of sorts, maybe proscuitto, and arugula. Salad, pizza, and a beer totaled the bill to $39.xx with the pizza being $24 of it. The pizza is worth the price, but the Groupon certainly takes away a bit of the sting. Considering how busy they were, the service was good and we didn't have to wait terribly long for the pie, in fact, we were still wrapping up our salad when it arrived. We'll be back.

Pizza was mediocre with a soggy crust and lackluster flavor. And the hostess was extremely rude the moment we walked in. For the cost, you can definitely find better pizza and service in the Orlando area.

If you love thin crust tasty pizza, this is the place to go! Rustichella is my favorite pizza. This is a small clean modern place to go for lunch, excellent and fast service. Jonathan was very personable and friendly. Will definitely be coming here again!

The rustichella pizza was amazing! Crispy pancetta, lightly sauteed arugula with olive oil, ham and roasted Tomates Mmm... Finish it off with a delicious gelato flight: 6 flavors one dish! It was really good!

This newly built restaurant gleams in somewhat dated area of the Belle Isle Orange Avenue stretch. Upon entering the establishment you almost feel as if you have stepped into a sleek and streamlined modern city eatery but in the same sense ,it also has kinda an IKEA meets the new Vegas casino vibe. Past all the new shinny tables and the seemly endless right angles sits a small (at least it looked small) wood fired oven that is the center piece or focal point as "they" call it these days, for that is why I am here. I went in with an open mind but had a lingering sense that this is going to be the same ole' pizza shop pie that dots the Orlando City scape. I was gravely mistaken. After choosing our seats the waitress greeted us and gave a brief explanation of the menu and the ingredients they import from Italy, Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! This is a sales and marketing pitch to justify the price of the pizza, Blah! Blah! I locked my eyes on the basic of basics a 10" Margherita pizza. Dough! Sauce! Cheese! and Basil! You can not screw that up if you know what you are doing. Ten or so minutes later out comes the rounded baked creation which looked every bit as it should, one and a half minutes later I sunk my teeth into some Goodness! The dough was baked well, it had a good crisp to the bite with a little chewy texture, sauce was simple and very fresh, the buffalo mozzarella topped if off wonderfully (although I could use more browning with the cheese) and the fresh sweet Italian basil closed the deal. Kudos to Tartini!! This guy will be back to enjoy more pizza, sample some wines and try the fresh pasta dishes.. Side Note: In my opinion, this is one of those pizzas that is meant to be enjoyed at the restaurant right out of the oven, not that my leftover slice wasn't good, it just wasn't as good a few hours later as some pizzas can be.

We were so looking forward to having a new 'go-to' restaurant in the Belle Isle area. I'm not so sure Tartini's is going to be the place - especially for a large party. I had a reservation for 10, but ended up with 12 - so I understand that may have added some confusion. We needed to go early (4:30 pm) as many of us were heading to see Mary Poppins at Bob Carr. Unfortunately, service was very slow and a few of the entrees came out long after the majority of us had eaten. I didn't have time to stay and ask for any credit because of this - but felt the last entree out should definitely have been complimentary. We had a few appetizers and they were, in fact, very good. The pasta carbonara was creamier than most and more like an alfredo - the pancetta in the dish was crisp and delicious. They have done a terrific job on the decor - very classy and modern. We will give them another try - this time with a smaller group. We're hoping for the best and would love to have them stay in the neighborhood!

We walked in off the street with no reservation and we were greeted really well with very friendly staff. The food was excellent. This was our first visit to the restaurant and would definitely recommend it to others. I had the pasta and the wife a pizza! Very satisfied.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
