Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The picanha calzone is ridiculously good and the brigadeiro strawberry pizza is something you won't find anywhere else. The wings are grilled fresh and sauce flavors are great. Sometimes it's hard ordering because some of the employees are not very fluent in English but it's all part of the Brazilian pizza experience here. The wife and I order at least once a week. Take out is the best option, delivery is always 40-60 min

The place has very good pizzas, I can't tell the same about the service. If you try to talk with a server to be seated, they say that there are some other people waiting and turn their back on you.

Bottom line - that wasn't very good at all. I do not think I am too hard to please when it comes to pizza. Unless I am in New York or Chicago, pretty much any decent pizza will do. Yet, somehow this pizza failed to make the bar. Maybe my expectations were higher than I think, but I just did not think the pizza was very good. When you open the box, the pizza looks great. And then you take a bite and are quickly brought crashing back down to earth. The ingredients just didn't taste very fresh and overall the pizza was pretty bland. When Hungry Howies flat out beats you for taste you have got some serious problems on your hands. Overall, I recommend passing on Pie-Fection.

I'm in town visiting universal and when I called I was informed that they don't deliver to hotels. How stupid can you be to not cater to out of town guests in a tourist town like Orlando.

They have the most amazing Brazilian Style Pizza in Orlando! I've tried Many Pizza Places around and none comes close to amount of filling and the lightness of the sauce, and the Crust!! OMG Outstanding!

After hearing many compliments of this pizzeria, I decided to go and visit pie-fection with my sisters tonight. As the night progressed the restaurant got busier and busier. The waitress never visited our table again after taking our order. We wanted to order an appetizer because we were starving or at least get a refill of our sodas. After 50 minutes, our pizza came out and she delivered the pizza burnt. I even let the waitress know and she offered to make us a new one but there was no way we could wait another 50 mins before eating. Lastly, after continuously pressing the button for refills, the waitress kept bringing back the wrong beverages. I don't know if I would go back. I honestly thought the service would have been better. I am disappointed....

Do not come here with a group! At the end of our meal, the waitress brought us the bill (twice- before she got the total right) for us to manually divide the cost. Rather than split the bill herself, either by items or just as a share of the total, she asked us to find the exact amount to put on each bill. It was a nightmare, and the unattentive service throughout the meal wasn't at all better. The pizza itself is really good, however. They have a good mix of classic flavors (like margherita) and Brazilian creations. I would consider getting take out, but I wouldn't recommend dining-in.
(2)Marcio A.
The five stars it's for the pizza. The Brazilian style pizza. Delicious!!! The service very friendly. We had the XL and you can choose three choices of special toppings. We had Portuguese, house special and another one I just can't remember right now. I go back again before vacation ends.

I found this place on Google during my stay in Orlando. Based on the reviews, my fiance and I decided to try it. We had never had Brazilian pizza before and decided it was worth a try. We went on a Friday night, and it was very busy, but we were able to get a table and put our order in fairly quickly. There are lots of topping options (including hard-boiled eggs!), but since we were short on time, we just ordered from the pre-arranged options available. We got a medium, half Primavera, half Brazilian Margherita. While the Margherita was good too, the Primavera was OUTSTANDING. It was absolutely delicious. I've never had anything like it and was blown away. The crust was not the most flavorful I've had, but it was light and airy and a good ending to a great pizza. The medium is cut into six slices, but it was very filling and we had two slices left over that we took home. The service was great: very friendly and attentive. I recommend it a visit; I'm sure we would be regulars if we lived in the area!

What a great pizza! Best pizza in town, by far! Cheese was great, jam delicious, can't wait to stop by again!
(5)Jazmin R.
After receiving our delivery order about 45 minutes after we placed the order, our food was cold... The bread, and both pastas. Keep in mind I live about 5 minutes from pie fection so there's no way our food got so cold on the way to my house. The chicken Parmesan lacked noodles and both the chicken Parmesan and the pie fection pasta lacked flavor. I also want to add that the cheesecake looks good but tastes like jello no bake cheesecake...so horrible. I am very disappointed in this place and will not be giving my business to them again.
(2)Tal L.
It took a long time to get my pizza. The veggie pizza was good and I also got a Greek salad on the side. Can't rate the service because I got take out but it took way to long to get the food.

I remember when this place opened. I frequented it when I lived in the area. I just moved back almost a month ago and took my grilfriend. I boasted about what a neat idea it was to go through your order, to watch your pizza being made and the garlic knots? They were always amazing, literally little dough knots. When we walked in the man making the pizzas look at us and said nothing. The waitress walked by and also, said nothing. We stood near the door for almost 5 - minutes before that man, while making a pizza asked if we were ordering to or dining in. We decided to dine in and from there it got worse. The waitress paid more attention to all the tables around us. She took our order and we got our cups of water in St room to go cups instead of glasses. Almost all the other tables had glasses for their beverages. I ordered the garlic knots and a medium bbq chicken pizza for myself and my girlfriend. The garlic "knots" looked more like the dinner rolls that you get pre-made made at the grocery store. They had no flavor except for the massive amount of garlic butter doused over the top of them. When we received our pizza, the waitress did not come back to check on us, she did not refill our water. She did, however have time to talk with the patron around us and clean the dirty tables. Not once did she ask how our meal was. The pizza was decent despite the teriyaki chicken on our BBQ pizza. My girlfriend tried to get her attention for the check to no avail. We had to stack our dishes, put our wallet on the table and take out the cash to get her attention. Once she was finished cleaning the table next to us she brought a box for our pizza and our check. I said thank you for the box and she just nodded, not one word. I will never be back to this establishment. After we left I looked into it and it appears to be under new ownership. This is something I wish I had read before walking inside Piefection.

wow really good pizza love the fresh cheese and ingredients .. the Hawaiian is the best pizza i highly recommend this place
(5)Brandon M.
The food here is great! The pizzas are made fresh from a wood brick oven and the toppings are from the Boars Head deli. The service is usually pretty decent and the restaurant can get very busy on the weekends. It is locally-owned by a Brazilian family and some of the servers don't speak a lot of English. This doesn't offend me, but you can't expect all of your customers to be Portugese. I come here often for the tasty appetizers & the excellent specialty pizzas!
(4)Lysandra S.
This is the best place to Brasilian Pizza, a lot flavors, good environment !!! My favorite is " house Special " with "Calabrese ".
(5)Carolina M.
Me and my BF live so close to this place and always drove by but never went. He was craving pizza on the way home the other night and we finally stopped in here. We got a large, half cuban half buffalo chicken. The people were nice and the service was quick. The Cuban was good but the buffalo I've had better in other places. Their menu is very extensive so we will deff. be back to try their other pizzas.
(4)Marcela C.
Amazing pizza. Dough is great and the sauce doesn't give you heart burn because they use real tomatoes. The pie is sizeable and has tons of toppins. We ordered a large half Jardineira (added catupiry to it) and half BBQ chicken. We also tried the sweet pizza, a small half brigadeiro strawberry and half pineapple and toasted coconut. All delicious....just a heads up...most sweet pizzas come with cheese. Definitively going back!
(5)Al T.
The best Brazilian pizza anywhere and my friends that like American pizza never complain about the traditional options. My favorite is Romeo and Juliet that combines guava, cheese and condensed milk for the best dessert pizza you will ever have. If like meat pizza then I suggest the calabresa. If you like ice and a cup for your soda don't forget to ask since they have Brazilian servers they serve it in the can with straw unless you ask.
(5)Brandi N.
What a giant disappointment. Smh. This place has been thru like 4 owners since I moved here 3 years ago. The current owners suck. This place is more packed than it's ever been and it's loud and cramped. The prices have gone up and the set up is horrible. It takes 40 minutes to get a small personal pizza. It used to take 10 minutes. This used to be my favorite place to get my pizza fix and now it's the worst spot ever. Go to Marcos on Hiawassee instead. Much quicker pizza and tastes amazing.
(1)Dan S.
Pie-Fection is probably the best pizza in Orlando, and surprisingly the best wings. I've eaten many a wing and pizza from all kinds of restaurants, and this place takes the top prize. The grilled terayaki/garlic wings are amazing, and the Cuban pizza is so delicious (although I don't like the dipping sauce they give with it). I really wish they hadn't recently changed their hours without telling anyone as I wasted 45 minutes of my life driving there to find out they are closed (I will always call ahead to any place i want to visit from now on). I really hope they don't go out of business as the lady that runs the register is super nice, recognizes my face, and they always give me an amazing product.
(5)Talie S.
Indulge in the tastes of Brazil's Little Italy. I recommend the Portuguesa; a savory pie with surprising toppings like boiled egg and peas. I also recocomend the frango com catupiry which is shredded chicken covered in a delicious creamy cheese -- very filling! Pie-Fection offers a lot more interesting pizza flavors other than your regular pepperoni. A must try if you are looking to broaden your pizza palette.

Let me clear up some confusion, if not only for myself, but for everyone else. This little pizza place in a strip mall along Kirkman Rd. called Pie Fection, is still a pizza restaurant. The original owners sold it to a Brazilian owner and they still serve pizza. You didn't know there were Italians in Brazil? Well recognize and come again. We can all utter disappointment that this is an "Italian pizza" restaurant online and in most searches. Yes, I see that. But remember this was an Italian pizza restaurant before the new owner took it over. So yes, there are fragments of the old restaurant still online. Most of the social media sites remained the same. The restaurant never changed name. For that matter not much of the restaurant changed. There is still the varied options to build your own pizza. Choose a crust, sauce, and toppings. For those less adventurous, choose from an already specified list. Salads, appetizers, and desserts are also right there. But those are all items you can find in any pizza restaurant. So what makes this place any different? Remember who are the new owners? Brazilians. I am sure all the other pizzas are made with the same love and affection. But I am after the Brazilian ingredients. The menu calls this Mozzarella and Chicken. That is just the beginning. The pizza maker starts with a rustic dough, spreads a tomato base sauce, liberally scatters shredded mozzarella cheese, then piles on shredded seasoned chicken, literally squirts the thin creamy Brazilian cheese Catupiry, then tops it off with a good helping of Brazilian sausage. I added the sausage. There is a certain magic with shredded chicken and catupiry. The sausage added a nice balance of salty meatiness to the slice. The crust was light and thin allowing the toppings to shine. An amazing feat. Hot Garlic Teriyaki Wings - nicely charred with light undercoating of heat, sweet Teriyaki, and bold garlic. Not recommended if going on a date afterwards. Unless you have garlic fetishes, in that case load up. Guarana Fountain Soda - Almost every place I've encountered Brazilian food Guarana soda in a can follows. Here they have it on the soda machine. Same nice fizz and sweetness. Whatever Pie Fection inherited from it's previous owners I am sure thrives with it's customers. However, I am sure that the Brazilian side wins out. This restaurant does serve pizza. But I am willing to go out on a limb and say try their Brazilian ingredients. I can't wait to go back and try their sweet pizzas.

If you're sick and tired of the usual cheese, pepperoni or supreme from an electric pizza oven, you should check this place! Their oven leave that toasted smell and taste of the wood fired ovens (I'm not sure if their oven can be considered a wood fired oven, since it's a little different from the ones I'm used to). And the toping choices are great for my family's taste! Don't miss the Chicken Catupiry! Service is excellent! They are not a big place and don't have many tables, so arrive early to beat the crowd! On the negative side, it's a little more expensive than the "usual" pizza place
(5)Derek E.
The corn catupiry (corn pizza) is awesome and the yucca fries are to die for. I don't know what these people are thinking with the negative reviews. It's not Italian. It's Brazilian pizza. But it's absurdly good. Try it now.
(5)Carlos G.
Good pizza, not like Brazil, but GOOD! Service is not that great, foods make up and good prices. Pizzas are huge! Get the dessert pizza!!
(4)Angela M.
So good! Ordered half a piefection and the other half simple Hawaiian and it was delicious! The pookies and brigadero with strawberry desert pizza was as our server explained "more addicting than crack!!" YES IT WAS!!! If you've never tried their Brazilian drink Guarana , make sure you do here! Very friendly and service was actually really good. Wish I could remember our servers name but he had us laughing the whole time.
(5)Charlotte C.
Not just pizza! I've had the skewered beef, it was amazing. It comes with pico style salsa and some crumbs, you mix them and eat along with bites of meat. The cook came out to see if I was enjoying my meal and told me how to eat it! Another time I had garlic Parmesan wings. Unbelievable. And yes their pizza is also amazing. Go there!
(4)Gua F.
The Best Pizza in Town!!! The service was great! The toppings were very fresh and tasty. They went out of there way to make sure we were happy. We will definitely come back.

I write this review slightly saddened. At one point, this was one of my favorite little insider places to go to. Especially when I lived right around the corner. Before the ownership change, it had a cool vibe, cool people, and cool concept - kind of a make-your-own pizza (Subway Style). At that point, it was a solid 4 star kind of place to me. A place I would readily return to and spend my money supporting. So much so, I had recruited a bunch of friends/coworkers who made this our weekly Thursday night ritual. However, this place has 'jumped the shark' as I like to put it. The quality seriously declined and with the rumors that it has moved more towards a seat and be served place, I simply wont return. If the new ownership thought the concept was bad, they shouldn't have bought the place. Because the concept of a Subway-Style Pizza place was a good one. Could the execution been improved to drive more business? Of course. But ditching the concept all-together was silly. The fact this place also had a connection to 4 Rivers BBQ was also a major plus but unfortunately, I think that has also fallen by the wayside. Just extremely disappointing.
(2)Marie M.
This is a Portuguese twist on pizza with exotic cheeses and delicious pizza. The environment was a little noisy with beyonce videos going in the background. mY FOUR CHEESE PIZZA was too much for me and I regretted it later.
(4)Emily G.
Pie-fection used to be as awesome as all the previous reviews claim. Sadly, they changed ownership a few months ago. We finally checked it out again this evening, and were sorely disappointed, and we definitely won't be going back. First off, they no longer have you order at the counter, but the stanchions directing you that way are still there. Once you're finally directed to a table, the entire menu is different, with all sorts of Brazilian food. I love Brazilian food, but not when I go to an Italian restaurant wanting Italian food. The now lower quality food also takes two or three times longer to get to you than it used to. If the extremely loud televisions don't drive you to getting boxes for your food and leaving, the giant, very loud groups of the owners' friends who surround you, bump you with furniture, and try to take your table before you're done will. Don't give active your credit card...you have to wait in a confused line of people trying to order, pay, and get drink refills and hand your card directly the person at the register or you'll be waiting an extra twenty minutes, not knowing who has your credit card. Fun. Old pie-fection was amazing. New pie-fection sucks. Don't go.
(1)Lindsay S.
This place is really neat. For some reason, custom pizza is taken to a new level when the toppings are laid out buffet style behind the counter (think of it as a Subway, for pizzas instead of subs) and you can dictate exactly what you want on your pizza before they toss it in the oven. FUN! I was excited to see pesto as a sauce option - my favorite. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the atmosphere is clean and friendly. My biggest concern with this place is that it was empty around dinnertime... Why isn't anybody else supporting this awesome establishment? Come on people! Bonus: Rita's next door is an awesome Italian ice dessert option!
(5)Ying D.
I have two words for this place: delicious and fantastic! Great specials and service. A must have with your pizza is their pie-fection "house" sauce (I'm not sure as to what it is called). Overall, pie-fection is a great addition to the Orlando area!!!
(5)Terrone C.
This is a cool modern pizza joint. Fresh made pizza and pasta with lots of toppings to choose from. Once you decide they make it right in front of you. Staff was friendly and fun. Personal pizzas were a good size comes with 3 toppings for nearly 8 bucks. The garlic knots were juicy. Make sure to check in on foursquare for your first visit for a good deal!
(5)Channing O.
This was one of my favorite places to eat, but I feel completely unwelcome and alienated when I'm there now. The new owners allowed me to be bullied and forced out of the restaurant. It is a place I will not be returning to. Which makes me so sad, because all I want is another 4Rivers BBQ Pizza! Why did the old owners abandon us?!
(1)Michael L.
I'm here on vacation with family and found this amazing restaurant on yelp. It's been a long time since I've been this impressed with a restaurant experience. Food: Everyone in my party loved their pizzas. But for me specifically, I ended up getting half a pizza with alfredo/marinara, onions, chorizo, and pepperoni and the other half was the same ingredients, but with alfredo/pesto sauce. I think the alfredo/pesto half might have been the best pizza I've ever had and surprisingly the chorizo went incredibly well with the flavors. The other half was awesome as well, but couldn't quite live up to the pesto side. We also got an order of 20 medium buffalo wings with garlic. They were really good, but tasted mostly of garlic and not buffalo. We really enjoyed them, but I'm curious what the buffalo only tastes like. Service: When we got in, we went over their menu, asked a couple of questions about mixing and matching sauces, etc. We realized that they were really understaffed and the guy behind the counter was practically a one man army while another was doing prep work in the back. Our guy was everywhere at once and never missed a beat with us, didn't mess anything up, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and a lot of fun. The one in the back came out and helped when he was able and was also incredibly helpful and friendly. By the end of the evening, our original server came over and talked to us a little bit and thanked us and said goodnight. I was immensely impressed with how helpful and friendly the entire staff was. I'm not sure I've ever had friendlier and enjoyable service. Overall it was a great meal with amazing service. I'm really hoping this gets franchised out to the rest of the US. Please start in Los Angeles =)
(5)Jacob F.
This was Amazing when it first opened .... Now not so much since the new owners took over. I didn't know that till after I got my food and you could tell just by the food alone. The knots where stale and burnt. I took it back twice then gave up. My pizza came to me burnt and you could tell they a clueless in making pizza. To make it worse all three TVs where in different stations with the volume up on all of them and there is flyers everywhere. You have to move them to sit down and eat. I will never come back.
(1)Annette G.
I stopped in for a quick lunch. The allusions to Subway are completely valid. Here's what I liked most: I was in and out (ordered, cooked and eaten) well within my 30min lunch time allocation. Fresh veggies for pizza or salad options. Fresh! Yum. Free Wifi. Discounts for students, teachers, employees of Universal or Disney. So yeah. Definitely worthy of a second date.
(3)Tom B.
Pie-Fection in MetroWest is the Subway of pizza joints. You walk along and place your order of crust, sauce, cheese and toppings. Then they stick it in the oven and once it's done, bring it to your table. Of course, if it doesn't turn out good, it's your own damned fault -- you should have made better selections. No anchovies, though. Doesn't anybody but me eat anchovies anymore? The atmosphere is very fast-foodish, with the exception of big-screen TVs. It wavers between 2 and 3 stars, but I'll kick it up to a 3 because of the very friendly attentive service, and the cheap beer and wine.
(3)Kristen B.
This place is amazing. The staff odd super nice, the concept is awesome and the food is great!
(5)A F.
This place is amazing! The house sauce has the perfect kick, the fresh mozzarella is on point, the toppings are fresh and I love that they hit the crust with the garlic-herb butter. I'm a big fan of the customizable-food movement (a la Subway, Chipotle) so formatting that for pizza is a winner in my books! I'm sad that it's so far away from me but I hope the owners will expand out my way soon -- or into downtown so I can pick up on the way home! Look out, Papa Johns! You have some competition for my biz!
(5)Brandon M.
Let me first start off by saying this place rocks and has really good food. Its located at Kirkman Road and Arnold Palmer Drive. The staff is really friendly and very attentive. The owner is Luke and he really cares about the customers and is always there to see if you need anything and if the food is good. Pie-Fection is still new and has been at its location for about 2 months now. They have daily specials everyday. Prices are very good there. You can create your own pizza or choose a pre-made one. They offer salads, and pasta as well. They also have Wine and Beer on tap. On Thursdays they have " Thirsty Thursdays " which means from 7pm until 10pm they have $1 draft beer and $3 wines. I really do recommend this place as it has really good and service. Really good for kids and familys.
(5)Susie R.
Best Pizza Crust I've ever had. Toppings were my own creation & the sauce was delicious. Try owners' special sauce (friends raved about it but caution to vegetarians it has meat so I didn't try it...I'm a vegetarian). Offer salads & pasta, too. Upscale Subway place in that you add your own toppings & get it quick but nicer atmosphere (not dressy just nice) with options to sit inside or outside. Great place to join friends for a game as they have multiple flat screen t.v.'s, great drink deals. My new favorite.
(5)Joel S.
This is my favorite local small pizzeria. Although I would be more akin to comparing it to Chipotle than Subway. The ingredient choices are wonderful and I love being able to choose fresh SLICED mozzarella cheese - it reminds me of the one time I went to NYC when I was younger and had a slice somewhere near the Public Library. The staff is good, always cheerful, and they seem so invested in the business. They have never had a problem chatting with any customer about anything (unless it's hugely busy). Then again, I usually head in for the wednesday specials so I never have to worry about the crowds. If you're near the wal-mart on kirkman, I recommend at least trying it. They're are some unique choices at hand (pesto and buffalo for sauce, shrimp and flank steak for toppings) and some interesting combinations can be had. A recommendation: the house marinara sauce and the herb-butter addition for the crust is practically a must have for a traditional pizza.

If you like ice and a cup for your soda don't forget to ask since they have Brazilian servers they serve it in the can with straw unless you ask.

This is the best place to Brasilian Pizza, a lot flavors, good environment !!! My favorite is " house Special " with "Calabrese ".

(1)Fagner M.
The place has very good pizzas, I can't tell the same about the service. If you try to talk with a server to be seated, they say that there are some other people waiting and turn their back on you.

(4)Henry P.
(5)Marcela C.

(4)Dan S.

The corn catupiry (corn pizza) is awesome and the yucca fries are to die for. I don't know what these people are thinking with the negative reviews. It's not Italian. It's Brazilian pizza. But it's absurdly good. Try it now.

(1)Kristen B.

This is a Portuguese twist on pizza with exotic cheeses and delicious pizza. The environment was a little noisy with beyonce videos going in the background. mY FOUR CHEESE PIZZA was too much for me and I regretted it later.

It wavers between 2 and 3 stars, but I'll kick it up to a 3 because of the very friendly attentive service, and the cheap beer and wine.

this place was great!!!! i got my food in less than 5 min and it was delicious!!! The place was also very clean the people that work there were very friendly! i had a great experience i will be going back!
