New owners have implemented changes but unfortunately they aren't for the better.

It's not often you can stop in at a pizza joint at 10 at night and it be open. And at that time, one would expect to get a slice from a 2 hour old pizza that's been reheated and not exactly great but appeases your temporary hunger. Well, my friends, that was certainly NOT the case here at Petey's. I grabbed two slices on my way home from a night of bowling, and my slices were so fresh and hot and delicious. My boyfriend took a bite before we even left the parking lot and said, "Damn, that's the best pizza I've had here in Orlando! We'll definitely be ordering from here again." My sentiments exactly. The owner even came out and introduced himself and asked about me. It's great to have a neighborhood pizza joint that serves up amazing pies (even late) and values it's customers. Forget the Dominos or Papa Johns of the world. Stick with the local guy making superior pies with an appreciation for his customers.

The place is falling apart. Service is terrible food is slow. Just not what it wants was.

Disappointed, went by on Tuesday and they were closed. That lowers them a star from average

So glad we decided at the last minute to stop on a Friday night. We shared the fried ravioli and Petey's platter (PLENTY of food for two people.) The food was delish, and the waitstaff very friendly. The owner even came by to check on us, which I always appreciate. I am looking forward to giving their NY style pizza a try in the near future.

After seeing the reviews I decided to stop in for a pizza. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty, I mean not a soul dining in. I was almost scared away by this but decided to stick it out. As we walked in, BAM! a very strong odor of moth balls hit my nasal cavity like a wrecking ball. Yet still, I was not deterred. We were greeted and seated immediately, as we were the only one's there. I usually order a plain cheese pizza when trying a new pizza joint as this is how I make my decision on how good the pizza is. The waitress said they had a special on extra toppings, i hesitated but gave in and ordered a veggie pizza. When the pizza came out, it looked good, smelling the pizza was a challenge due to the moth ball odor which eventually gave me a headache. My first slice actually tasted pretty good, but every slice after that had a soggy bottom due to the veggie juice that had now soaked the entire bottom crust. I knew I should have stuck with the plain cheese! While we dined in, Only one other patron came in and one homeless man who they gave a couple of free slices and a drink to. We took the left over pizza home and when it was reheated in the oven, it was better because the crust was actually crunchy again. I can tell this place has a decent pizza, but my experience was not the best. Service and friendliness was not a problem at all, but the moth balls and soggy pizza left me disappointed. I would try the pizza again, but if I smell moth balls next time, I'm taking mine to go!

Petey's Pizza is AMAZING!!!!!!! Not only does Petey's have the BEST pizza in downtown Orlando, they also have the best staff. Every time I order for pick up or go in to eat they are always friendly and have even honored recently expired coupons just to keep a customer happy. They have an amazing 16" one topping & 6 garlic knots deal for $10.99 that can't be beat! I would recommend this place to anyone!!

I'm from New York. For the past 9 years I've lived here, I would get pizza in Orlando maybe twice a year; I'm not trying to be a pretentious pizza-eater, it's just not the same here, no matter how you look at it. Either the sauce is never right, or the atmosphere isn't authentic to the culture surrounding pizza, there's too much or too little of one or more ingredients, etc. That was until I noticed the pizza place on Colonial & Bumby by Winn-Dixie shut down and reopened as an all-new pizzeria with new ownership. From what I understand, Petey is originally from Sicily and no stranger to making pizza over the years. After one bite of Petey's Pizza, I remembered what New York pizza REALLY tasted like. This was it. The sauce is sweet and flavorful, unlike anything else in our area. I now crave Petey's Pizza once a week. Sitting in Petey's Pizza with my family, it feels like we're back in New York again. And when my son is old enough to eat real pizza, Petey's Pizza will be the destination for his first real slice of New York pizza.

Best pizza I've had in Orlando. Also love the wings. Cheese pizza is consistently good and they have some great coupons if you know where to look ;)

No lie i get a pizza at least once a week from Petey's. Great staff and super friendly. The other day i had to wait 15 extra mins while they made me fresh ziti NO problem! Do yourself a solid and stop in and get a bite you will not be disappointed.

Just ate an awesome cheese pizza! The owner is from Sicily and really knows his NY style pizza, thin crust, tasty tomato sauce, lots of mozzarella and italian spices.

We have been to Petey's twice and both times the food and service have been wonderful. Appetizers really good, Pizza, Stromboli and Garlic bread really tasty, and desserts yummy and a good price. The folks that run the place are very nice also. On both visits with my son, and daughters boyfriend the food and service resulted in them returning with friends and other family members and all have had good experiences. We live on the West side of town so Petey's is obviously doing good things for us to travel there!

Amazing pizza, fabulous garlic knots, and a great combo appetizer. This place has great food and the owners are wonderful and friendly. It's less than $12 for a cheese pizza and knots which is our families staple!

This is the pizza place Orlando has been waiting for. Don't be confused. This location WAS a different pizzeria. It's not under new ownership-- it's a totally NEW RESTAURANT. Consider it a coincidence that it's a pizzeria again. As a Sicilian-blooded NY native and frequent visitor to the North, I know pizza. I know that Broadway and Anthony's are Orlando's only hope for a beautiful, legitimate slice. I know that Petey's blows Broadway and Anthony's out of the freakin' water. Petey's is conveniently located in Colonialtown in the Winn-Dixie plaza with plenty of parking. I always called this the ghetto plaza, but now I visit the plaza so frequently you can call me King Hoodrat. (Seriously though, don't let Winn-Dixie's presence fool you. It's a quiet, safe spot. I take back those mean things I said about this area.) The interior of Petey's is super cozy and relaxed. The staff is nice and you'll encounter the owner every time (not yet sure if his name is really Petey). He's a friendly guy from Sicily who really values his customers and makes sure to show you his appreciation with a simple, hearty HELLO! or HAVE A GOOD NIGHT THANK YOU!! The pizza is better than most New York pizza places. It's robust and cheesy, with the perfect amount of grease. Look at the cheese and you'll see the signature speckles of seasonings and herbs that only a real Sicilian remembers to thoughtfully include. The sauce has a mouth-watering touch of sweetness. There are some dessert options. The cannoli is the only item I've tried; the cream was the best I've ever tasted. I don't live anywhere near Petey's, but I try to make the trip once a week. Once you taste this pizza, I bet you will too.

Stellar service, good food and cute restaurant. I came because of the good reviews and never would have noticed it otherwise. It's right next to Winn Dixie on an uber busy corner on Colonial. You wouldn't notice it unless you are the observant type who actually looks at those tiny stores in strip malls. It doesn't look like much on the outside but how cute on the inside. All these red and white checkered tables with this homey mom-and-pop feeling. Super tiny and cute. I didn't realize you could eat in until i got there. You can see them cooking in the kitchen from the tables. Don't think you are right next to the kitchen - it's a decent distance - but interesting to see. The service was awesome. The waitress was so friendly and even gave us a tip to save money on some combo deal. She checked on us often and recommended things. When we left, the people in the back waved goodbye. The pizza is New York pizza. Sweet with all the familiar spices sprinkled on top. You can tell instantly. The food was quick, good and decent prices.

I eat here all the time and decided to finally write a review. This place is awesome. The food is great, service is excellent, and the price is reasonable. A great place to just kick back with some friends and enjoy a nice pizza.

I ordered a Margarita Pizza from Petey's to be delivered to my home. The pizza was fantastic, the dough tasted fresh and so were the greens and tomatoes. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the delivery driver got lost, called me 3 times and proceeded to keep me on the phone while he zipped around town looking for my condo. My pizza was cold when it got to my place.

I ordered from Petey's today. About 45 minutes later (for a sandwich and a soda) I received a call from the driver. He was very upset, and wanted to know why nobody was answering the door. He claimed he had been knocking on it for five minutes, and let me know how inconvenienced he was. I assured him that nobody had been at my door at any point of this day as I was sitting next to it. I then asked him where he was exactly. He responded with my address, and I assured him that my door was now open with me standing in it. I know where my own house is, and there was nobody at my door. After a few minutes of him becoming more and more disgruntled, curt, and annoyed (I suppose it's MY fault he can't read an address), I asked him why he was acting like such an @sshole. The food arrived and I spoke with the owner, apparently the driver's father, who served up the same level of disrespect as his child. He just called back to let me know that he's on his way over to beat me up. Luckily, I own a gun.

I almost wish I reviewed this place prior because they have, to date, been sooo good. Something must've changed tho. Being from So Jersey I've waited for a pizza place to offer panzerotties and not only do they but they're awesome. Were awesome. Been a loyal customer only ordering take out weekends from them for awhile but tonight after a girl answered with "hello" then "huh what - hold" then "yeah - what" again, eventually my order arrived, the driver was lost since the confused girl who answered the phone took my address down wrong - all reasonable mistakes on a busy night, but then opened box to find raw dough wrapped around still frozen cheese. Probably 70 orders later - after tonight, I won't be back and will stop recommending as I have very frequently.

Petey's is a three-star or four-star Italian restaurant with a five-star heart of gold. It's located next door to Winn Dixie at Bumby and Colonial in the Coytown shopping center, and has changed ownership many times over the years. My good friend and dining partner and I gave it a try last week. He arrived about one minute ahead of me. There was a homeless man there enjoying a pizza on the house (if you know the area, you know there are a number of people down on their luck in this neighborhood). The dear homeless man offered my friend some of his pizza, which my friend kindly turned down. After our meal, the kind waitress apologized for the poor man, which was unnecessary but nice. (That's not to say that they feed the homeless at Petey's, but this particular man was a special someone whom they took in and fed.) Speaking of the service, it was as good as the food. I haven't yet tried the pizza -- that's for another day. But my pasta and shells with a nice amount of Ricotta cheese was very good, as were the salad and garlic bread which accompanied the meal. My partner's ziti was satisfying as well. The East 50 Corridor has long been my stomping ground, and I'll be happy to revisit Petey's.

I give it 5 stars but I am not a pizza snob, despite having lived in NYC. This pizza is great and I can't believe they deliver to Winter Park, even better. We usually get Brooklyn Pizza but decided to try something new and we loved it. I can't say which place is better, without doing a side-by-side comparison. We got one with spinach and one with sausage. My daughter, who never eats spinach, ate that pizza up! Great dough consistency, not too greasy--we'll definitely be back.

Ordered delivery from here twice, cheese pizzas both times, meatball subs once, & spaghetti & meatballs once. Loved most of it, the spaghetti and meatballs however were a little bland, the delivery driver is prompt and polite, and this is my new favorite pizza/Italian delivery place. Definitely worth checking it out. Since the initial write up, ordered a Margarita pizza that looked sloppy but tasted amazing.. super greasy pizzas that taste great as left overs heated in the oven quick, convenient, takes credit card over the phone. When I'm tired and dont want to cook, I call Petey's

We ordered garlic knots and 14" pepperoni for delivery. It arrived in only 30 minutes and was AMAZING ! Delivery guy and staff member that took our order were so friendly and helpful. We didn't want a franchise chain pizza so went with peteys. Def will order again when back in the area!

Yes, the plaza is unappealing. Yes, the pizza is very good! I hope this place sticks around, the pizza is a fantastic value, and they've gotten the crust right both times I've been there. Will definitely be back.

This place has been going down fast.. i have had 711 beef patties larger then the calzone I ordered .... And when I ask the employee about it ... Well let say she was more than less than helpful .. If I wanted crap I would ordered from papa johns at half the price ..

Orders the sasuage roll dough was uncooked. Menus said it would have onions and peppers all it had was A TON of cheese and some slices of meat... that did not taste like anything remotly close to sasuage. Ordered chicken parm and it was a thin slice of chicken put on top some pasta and sauce. Never again. Couldn't even call to get my money back. Never again... don't eat here unless you want a stomach ache and an empty wallet. 15 bucks for food that looks and tastes like its made in prison. Way over priced and all cheap ingredients. Foodie beware....

I have been going here for years, Petey and the old owners were so gracious, friendly and the food was amazing. Whenever new ownership took over, it went to garbage. We have gone twice now, first experience not great, but we decided to give it another chance...for 2 people we got 1 large pizza, 2 drinks, 2 side salads and our bill was $40. That is insane! No one says hi when you walk in, the food is now mediocre and there is no one in there anymore. They have turned a long time customer to go somewhere else. Bring back the old owners!

So absolutely sad that Petey's changed ownership again. Ordered pizza today expecting the delicious New York style pizza that we always got, and what we received was completely overpriced disgusting pizza. Don't bother eating here, even the chain pizzas as better than these. No flavor.

Petey's is probably the thing I miss most about living in Orlando (sorry family!) When I was living in Colonialtown I ordered from there pretty close to once a week. The first time I went, a little over two years ago, I got the Margherita, because I feel that should be a good measure of how competent a pizza place is. I was completely blown away and it quickly became my go to pizza spot. The staff, at least when I was going there, is super friendly and always remembered me, even just by what I ordered over the phone. They also consistently have great deals. Petey's is so good that I have been living in Miami since January and just now decided to write a review for it. *edit: Sounds like the folks I was referring to have since left the operation, so if this review is now inaccurate, whoops!

What in the Hell Happened to This Place!?!?! They WERE my absolute favorite place for delivery. I bragged them up to all my local friends and acquaintances because EVERYTHING I got from them was ON POINT any time I ordered. I've noticed I've been less and less pleased with portions and flavors so I've tapered off for ordering with the embarrassing frequency we were ordering (it was nightly or every other night for awhile). Today officially killed it. I ordered chicken fingers and a pepperoni pizza. Normally total winners. I open up the extremely heavy container for the chicken fingers and what I find are 3 monsters pieces of some sort of heavily breaded and WAY over cooked "meats" of some sort. Honestly, they gave me ATX flashbacks as they look like chicken fried steak. I'm immediately disappointed so I call up convinced I've been given the wrong dish. I speak with manager who immediate goes on the defensive stating these are their new chicken fingers and everyone loves them. If that's true, God help the people of this city - you will truly eat ANYTHING. He tells me he will make more and send them out and seems put-out about the whole thing. Well if this is the new normal, I don't want it. He gets more annoyed and asks what I want. I advise him that I have ordered from this restaurant religiously, to go look up my account if he doesn't believe me, and I'd like a credit for it. After I get upset, he turns nicer and more accommodating and I now have a credit for the chicken fingers. He tells me to give them a try and I tell him I will. How were they? AWFUL. How was the pizza? I wish I had ordered Pizza Hut and that I had waited to call and complain because I'd have asked for a full credit. So they will get to keep my chichen finger credit. Cause unless they are having a MASSIVELY bad day, they are not the Petey's I knew and LOVED. Oh well. They were amazing while they lasted. : (

This place absolutely needs to fix their refund policies and procedures. after placing an order and being told they deliver to where i was located, and processing my card info, they call me back and tell me they wont deliver because i was too far. been trying for over 5 weeks to get my refund but they conveniently cant seem to find my transaction although my bank can put it within a 2-hour frame on the specific day. the manager was polite and seemed to take an interest in solving this issue but never returned with any follow-up information although i called more than twice. good thing the bank will replace the funds but for future reference, dont prepay for delivery.

Petey's Pizza has become one of our favorite places to pick up pizza here in Orlando. We've always been pleased with our pie. While we're pretty basic with our pizza due to picky kids, we're happy that such basic pies can be tasty. The sauce is perfect and the cheese just the right amount. We always call to see what specials they have going on and with these prices there's no reason why anyone should be purchasing corporate crap. Our last pick-up we got a free order of garlic knots with our 16" pizza. Oh my, those knots were amazing! While we've done pick-up most of the time we have stopped in for lunch. My husband & I each ordered the two slices with one topping and a soda for $4.99. The service was incredibly friendly and the pizza was delish as usual. I like when I dine in I can get that extra crunch that I sometimes loose during delivery. I'd like to try some other items on their menu, but it's hard when I know we're all going to be quite happy with our pizza!

Walked out. Serves bottled water only claims tap water isn't good for you. Enough said. 1-7-2015 update. Owner says he is pricing a filtration system. Fair enough. There are going to be people with environmental concerns who don't patronize restaurants that are bottled water only. That was my only point. No need though for personal comments. The last thing I would think the owner would want is for people to now verify that crusts, knots, ice and sauces are indeed either completely factory-made off-premise or made in-house exclusively with bottled water.

I recently grabbed two slices here, one for the hubby, one for me. I was in New York about 2 weeks ago and tried a few pizza places, so the taste of genuine pizza was clearly in my memory. We only got two slices because I just wanted to try and see if it was at least a decent choice for pizza. We seriously don't regret it. The pizza slice was large, thin, with just enough sauce for flavor but not to weigh it down or overwhelm the rest of the ingredients. Simple elements, combined in a simple way to create the familiar and wonderful taste of really delicious pizza. We found our new pizza place.

I love their Pizza by the slice. It is just about perfect for me, thin but crispy crust, and a great balance of sauce and cheese. The interior is standard Pizza parlor with no frills.

So sad. Used to be so good. New owners are weird - went there and there was only one person in total working making food, taking orders, setting up. She's part of the new team of owners/employees. She had the gall to sort of criticize the awesome old owners and some of their food - and anyone who knows them knows THEY were the REAL deal. Food to go: Soggy pizza w/ uneven toppings, undercooked and somewhat slimy wings. Tried again: This big setup about the amazing meatball sub which, as it turned out, was dry and thoroughly underwhelming, I seriously gave the 2nd half of it to the dog (he ate it - he's a big dog). I'm giving it 2 stars cause they're new and probably learning the ropes. But, sadly, I shan't be venturing back. Petey... it was great to know ya'

A while back I visited NYC and loved the pizza there. I have been unable to find anything similar, except when I walked into Perry's it was simply the most delicious pizza in the state. Awesome service, loved the buffalo garlic wings too.

I've been getting delivery from this place for a few years and I've enjoyed it very much until my most recent delivery. Not sure if it was just an off night or what. I got the house special pizza and when it was delivered it was a mess. The pizza was soggy and was so overloaded with green peppers and onions that you could lift a slice up without the slice tearing. The toppings didn't seem fresh, the green peppers were large strips that were complete mush, the onions were just slices laid across the top that were hard to eat because you'd get a huge chunk of onion. There were no meatballs on the pizza even though it was supposed to have them. I hate posting negative reviews but this pizza was really disappointing. I couldn't even have leftover today because it was so bad. Like I said, this place usually has really good pizza with a crispy crust but the pizza last night has me looking for a new place. :(

This pizza parlor is one of Orlando's best! Crispy New York Style crust, highest quality ingredients and smiling faces make this a regular stop for me and my family. PLEASE order their Alfredo sauce to dip your crust in. It's the BEST from scratch Alfredo I have ever had. Also try their linguini Alfredo with the muscles on top. Garlic knots are yummy too. Leave room for one of their scrumptious desserts. Bon appetit!

  • Lauren H.

My new favorite pizza place. I've picked up to go several times and last night decided to stay and sit in-house. As someone going to a restaurant alone I often get a server that is rushed and annoyed that I'm taking an entire table for one person ordering a small meal. Not at Petey's! Service was fast, personable, never made me feel like an inconvenience. Beyond the atmosphere, the food was amazing as I was used to with the to-go orders. I'll be bringing a book back to hang out and eat pizza again! Maybe I'll try a longer hangout and a glass of wine next time :).

  • Kyla T.

The staff was very attentive and kind. The buffalo chicken pizza was devine. As opposed to most places that only put a sprinkle of cheese and three pieces of chicken on their pizzas, this pizza was LOADED with delicious cheese and buffalo chicken tenders. The garlic knots are an absolute MUST.

Peteys has wraps now! I think I'm going to try one tomorrow. I can't wait to get my Friday night Peteys fix. My goal is to try everything on the menu at least once. Right now my favorite is the deluxe roll and stuffed pizza! I didn't know one could fit that much meat into a pizza. I love the laid back environment and when I come in (now) they greet me by name. But, even before I became a regular, I was always welcomed and greeted with a kind and friendly smile. It's also becoming our after church lunch spot. We love this place!

Morons. Straight up idiots. Terrible customer service is an understatement. I used to order from them at least once a week at least a $50 order for my family for at least the last year. They showed up 2 1/2 hours late with cold pizza and wings. I called immediately after asking for a refund or to credit us for a future order, and they never called me back. I've been calling for the last week to give them an opportunity to to fix this. Every time they say they're going to call me back and that the owner isn't in. Finally I spoke with someones yesterday and they were completely unapologetic. The best he offered was $5 off. That's an insult. It gets better. After waiting for over an hour, I kept calling every 15 minutes and they gave me the deliver driver's phone number to give him better directions. Why is this my responsibility? This is your job. Best of all, I was VERY calm and spoke to them with respect while he got defensive and insulting. You're an idiot guy. You work at a pizza shop. Learn customer service. Know the price of a negative review. Taking care of your loyal customers when you deliver pizza 2.5 hours late is just the start of good customer service. This 1 bad review is going to cost you way more than comping me my order. Good job. Enjoy. Was it worth it?

Worst meal I have ever had! This place used to be amazing, one of my favorite pizza places in town. Now it is by far the worst. Pizza was disgusting, soggy and cold. Sauce was bitter tasting and the staff was awful compared to the nice and friendly staff who used to be here. I won't be stopping in here ever again.

Great new york pizza! Great price! Offen times ill get NY pizza and cause its so thin its always soggy, soft, or limp but the pizza here maintains its crispiness with the thin crust. Had standard pepperoni pizza with garlic knots. I regret nothing!

My husband is a true NYC'er - unlike me who just has some family that hailed from upstate - and he's taught me the simple joy of a hot slice of pizza with that thin-but-flexible crust that you can fold over and chow down on. This is true New York style pizza and the wings are a solid choice, too. I usually get take-out here, but the interior of the restaurant is a nice, quaint space with checked tablecloths and much nicer than the surrounding plaza. Super friendly and chatty folks, too, which makes waiting for takeout a pleasure.

I haven't been to the place but my wife brought a large pie home that was awesome! Pepperoni & Mushroom. She said it was easy to order staff was nice and even offered to carry it out t the car for her. Good flavor-thin NY style crust-plenty of toppings and to to much sauce. I'll be Back!

I like them but I just can't deal with their stupid coupon rules anymore. Not when there's 55 other pizza places in a short radius, says Yelp. From my first visit due to a coupon mailer which they made me actually present, to "that special on the window is a mistake", to not allowing me to order toppings on their free cheese pizza - the one I earned with my customer loyalty stamps (even if I paid). You can see I've been here plenty of times. And what stops me from going back is that they refuse to combine my stamps and give me that free pizza. I had three cards with enough stamps for nearly two cheese pizzas (see the pic) and they wouldn't honor them. They don't combine. So I don't come back. Even left them the stamps, for free. Ended up paying $18.99 for that plain cheese pizza and two cokes. I feel a little bit cheated about that too.

I was looking for a place to get some quick take-out and ended up here. I wasn't too impressed with their food. I got the chicken parmesan dinner with penne pasta and a side salad. The lettuce for the salad was really wet in the container, so it watered down the dressing a bit unless you dried it off, which you shouldn't have to do in the first place. The chicken was good...I liked that, but I wasn't a huge fan of their red sauce, which was pretty thick. I think this was a one time deal for me. I'd pick Anthony's over Petey's any day.

This place was far from NY pizza!! We ordered wings, garlic knots and a pizza and let me tell you its the worst ive ever had garlic knots were burned drizzled is garlic sauce that was down right nasty . Thats not how you make garlic knots, wings were tiny and pizza looked great and almoat had a newyork feel till you eat it and the sauce they use is nasty. Dont know who writes these review my guess is family or friends cause this place SUX!!! First time and last time I will go back here!!

I drove by this restaurant in early February and noticed some signage outside that mentioned that the business now is under new management, which got me wondering if it is any good. I never tried the food from the business that used to be in this spot, mostly because I live a decent distance away from this area and likely would have to stay here to eat or take food home and ultimately reheat it upon arriving. I thought I'd give Petey's a shot, and I have fellow Yelpers to thank for that. Before I went inside, I checked the Yelp app. on my phone to see if there were any existing reviews. Each one (there were 3 at that time) said that Petey's was five stars, so that got me inside. (There now is a fourth review with a 4-out-of-5-star rating, which is fine.) As did three other Yelpers, I also am assigning the full 5 stars to Petey's. It is a nice place and the people with whom I interacted were amazingly friendly. I was there during the early afternoon, so there wasn't much wait (I think I was there between lunchtime and maybe 3 p.m. or so?), so I was given much attention while ordering and afterward. The girl who took my order was overly polite and accommodating and told me all about the menu and seemed genuinely interested in my business. She even asked where I live in an attempt to retain me as a customer and perhaps get me thinking about placing a delivery order sometime. (Maybe I will at some point.) She did say that a delivery would be possible to College Park, but that soon won't be necessary. (I likely am moving closer to this restaurant, perhaps to Thornton Park or somewhere near to it, in a few months.) Anyhow, this restaurant, to me, is so nice that placing a delivery order might seem like a luxury. It would make me happier to personally stop in since the people are so nice and I enjoyed my initial visit. I really need to come back in here soon. Who knows -- maybe it'll be tomorrow? It's been 2+ months since my first trip here. I'm overdue for a return. I ordered a simple two slices of pepperoni pizza while here. I took them home with me and reheated them a little bit when there. The pizza was great and, as you can see in the picture I've added, is topped with another little sprinkling of Mozzarella cheese. Hey ... the more cheese, the better ... right? You know it. I definitely will be back here ASAP and I hope that at least a few more Yelpers will make it over and post some reviews as well. You definitely can trust the existing reviews - there is no bias here and I am comfortable with everything about this business that already appears here on Yelp. Do yourself and this business a wonderful favor and check it out and have some great food. You will be pleased.

Their pizza is really good, not my favorite, but a close second. Today though I tried their pasta. I ordered a chicken Marsala and the baked ziti. the Chicken was completely tasteless. There was no seasoning, and it was a bit rubbery. The ziti according to my husband was "meh." So if you're hungry for pasta, don't do it! However, the Pizza is great! Also, the app they use to place online orders is awesome! So if you are phone-shy try their online ordering system, as it is very user-friendly.

Okay ... this is good stuff!!!! So glad I found it. I was a bit skeptical at first ... the slices were not as big as I expected them to be, but in reality, that's minor. I had two slices with pepperoni ... my goodness. The cheese was nice and gooey, good thin crust, great sauce. Next, I'm getting an entire pie! As a Chicagoan (shhh ...don't tell anyone) where pizza is religion, finding real pizza of any style is of high importance. Take it from me, this was the best I've had since being here! Furthermore ... everything on the menu looked good. I came in during lunch and stared down a few tables. I'm sold.

Very unexpectedly, this is our new pizza spot in Orlando. Forget Anthony's (especially the nasty coal fired) and all the other places. Went there for our first time and had a wonderful dinner. It doesn't look much from the outside, but inside it has a really comfortable feel. We didn't have to wait so that was a plus. The pizza is spectacular and you can tell it's homemade. The crust has perfect texture an sauce isn't too overpowering. The cheese and toppings were cooked perfectly. Oh and the price is right. Try the tiramsu and the pezzoles (made in house). We have been looking for a great pizza place for years. Petey's is it.

I ate here once when it was called Piezanos and recall the food being pretty good. I decided to order some takeout pizza and was drawn to this place by the positive reviews, and the fact that I had just finished shopping at the Target down the street. I ordered a half plain, half pepperoni. The pizza did the trick but it's just OK. I'd rather it not come with oregano already sprinkled on top and it could use a bit more sauce. They were generous with the cheese which I appreciated. I prefer La Bella Luna or Anthony's. The place is definitely a hole-in-the wall and I wouldn't make a special trip to dine in. That said, the staff is super friendly.

This is one of those places on 50 that I've never given a second look. The strip it's in always looks a little in disrepair and it's hard to keep track of businesses there due to turnover. I went to Petey's for lunch at the suggestion of a co-worker and was pleasantly surprised. We got the lunch special and had more than enough to eat. The pizza was thin but tasty and, again, PLENTY of it. Haven't been back for dinner to try more robust items but the menu looks good.

This place has been going down fast.. i have had 711 beef patties larger then the calzone I ordered .... And when I ask the employee about it ... Well let say she was more than less than helpful .. If I wanted crap I would ordered from papa johns at half the price ..

Not the same anymore. Different ownership. Not the same service and meals. The changes unfortunately have not been for the better. The food and service used to be great.

Okay ... this is good stuff!!!! I'm sold.

So glad we decided at the last minute to stop on a Friday night. We shared the fried ravioli and Petey's platter (PLENTY of food for two people.) I'm from New York.

A while back I visited NYC and loved the pizza there. I have been unable to find anything similar, except when I walked into Perry's it was simply the most delicious pizza in the state. Awesome service, loved the buffalo garlic wings too.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
