Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Everyone knows OG is your run of the mill Italian, nothing fancy but a good fix usually. My only issue with this location is the service. If I get my drink within 15 minutes I'm shocked. My boyfriend and I have been here on many of occassions and never once had a meal last less than an hour and a half... and it ain't because we are slackers. Aside from the service the food is always good, the peach tea is a delight and the salad is the good ole reliable treat that it is.

For some reason Olive Garden always sounds good on a cold day. I wish we would have thought twice. Our server was awesome, but my wife ordered the baked cheese ziti and it finally came out with a baked hair in it. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich, which came over cooked. The manager did take care of my wife's order and handled the situation (I felt) in an appropriate manner. I keep striking out at this place. I need to just stick to my off the wall places to dine.

I always enjoy their salad and breadsticks. I have tried the soup, salad, and breadsticks lunch special and the soup (minestrone) is good, but I usually just buy the cheese ravioli dish for lunch or dinner. I have never had a problem with my "To Go" orders and my dine in experience was delightful. The service at this Olive Garden has always been good.

love this place. great food. I always have a great experience here and am never disappointed

Although Olive Garden is a chain known across the country; this one has exceptional service! The host got us seated right away, and was very friendly. Our server was very friendly and hysterical. He had me cracking up over my bread sticks. I wish I remembered him name! I ordered a water with lemon which he referred to as "fancy melted ice on the rocks" haha! The endless soup, salad and bread sticks lunch special is literally unbeatable! I can't believe I can go to a pretty nice restaurant for an afternoon lunch for only $7.41 (tax included!) The chicken gnocchi soup is sooo yummy! (definitely can't pronounce it though). When we paid our bill, he offered to bring me more of those yummy mint chocolate candies they give you. I always thought there was a limit on those lol This specific Olive Garden has excellent customer service and a very put together management team. I was very impressed with my visit :)

Salad = Excellent Bread Sticks = Excellent Seafood Portofino = so so...

Came here for a birthday party with around 25-30 people. The food is the definition of 'meh' (2 stars) but must give them props for handling our large group pretty smoothly - at least once we were seated. It took more than an hour to actually get the table but we weren't in a hurry. As for the food, it's your run of the mill chain restaurant kind of stuff. Expensive gimmicky drinks, etc. You know what you're getting when you come here. If you want good food, then go to an actual restaurant.

Always good.... Love the salad!

One of my favorite restaurants. Like the ambiance, food and service. Really enjoy the endless bread that is to die for and try a new plate: Braised ribs and I was not disappoint, it was great.

Had dinner tonight with the family. Haven't been to an Olive Garden in about 2 years, and the first time with all three kids of food eating age. The kids meal prices are very good, the serving size is nice and drinks are included. Their menu hasn't changed much in the past two years with the exception of paring menu items down. Waiter was ok, but not that enthusiastic. However, he did interact with the kids and that's always a big plus. There does seem to be a lack of parking near the front of the restaurant. We'd come back again.

Olive Garden.....it's good on the wallet when you should be getting breadsticks and soup. I have an issue with this being my job's go-to retirement dinner spot. Therefore this may be a bit bias. Maybe. Too Carbotastic for my taste.

For the price we paid (about $50 for 2 people) the food was only so-so and the service was AWFUL. Our waitress sounded like a robot, and we had to grab another waiter several times because she never came back to check on us. The food came out and it looked like it had been sitting in the back a while, it was barely warm and a film had formed over the top of my ravioli. Overall, very unimpressed and I don't think I would go back or recommend this location to a friend.
(2)Kathy D.
This olive garden seems to be jammed pack on busy nights, which may be good for the business, but the service definitely lacks a lot more. Endless soup and salad is the primo meal I always get.

Surprisingly, this is my second time at Olive Garden (lol), and I think I will be my last. No doubt this is a restaurant to take your high school date too (we saw alot there lol...so cute), or a nice affordable family outing; but your money could be put to good use elsewhere. There are many other chain restaurants out there which will have better quality food. Or just stay at home and make italian food together as a family, or show off your culinary skills to your date (you would get more brownie points fyi). Even if you can't cook authentic italian, by just getting: boxed noodles, canned pasta sauce, frozen ravioli, breadsticks, parma cheese, bag salad, and cheap wine, it will be comparable to the food served at olive garden (and for half the price and probably healthier!). First off, the silverware had alot of soap residue on them. Nothing else to say there, but just wipe your utensils before you use them...Secondly, my friend got the flavored tea and there was this mysterious paper/napkin/sheet in her little pot of water...Thirdly, don't expect your server to be that attentive. We asked for another glass of water so many times, we didn't get it till the very end. Foodwise, I got Cheese Ravioli with meat sauce. To be honest, the only thing which was hot was the plate it was on. Everything else was warm to the point of being cold. I'm sure they microwaved this ravioli. In addition, the ravioli was not made fresh at all, and frozen at best for a couple of days/months now. The sauce was bland as you can get...really there is not much else to say other than the fact I see this place more as a fast food italian restaurant...olive garden is no where near authentic. I know its hard to get authentic off a chain restaurant, but all I am asking for is decent food which is better than frozen food. As for the unlimited soup and salad..it really isn't much of a deal. Their well-known soup: zuppa toscana is filled with potatoes so that will fill you up quick. As for their salad...there is nothing special about it...the cost of that salad compared to getting a salad from publix (where you can add more nutritional greens) is way expensive! P.S I got a tummy ache right after eating...tummy ache = food not made well = a sad me.

I went in for lunch today although I've been here before. I'm a creature of habit when it comes to Olive Garden so I usually order the same thing every time. I got to the restaurant after 2pm which was well after the lunch rush. I knew the bar had open seating so I explained to the hostess that I was going to sit at the bar. The restaurant was pretty much dead. I was the third person to sit down at the bar. It was empty. The bartender was no where in sight. I waited for about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me. I was asked if I wanted a beverage but was told that it could only be non alcoholic. Apparently she was not 21 so she couldn't legally serve alcohol. I settled for a water. About 5 minutes later the bartender appeared. She was moving so fast that I almost missed her. You could tell she was a little flustered. She asked me if I had a menu and I said no, so she went to find me one. She came back with the menu. While I was looking, she was stocking various drinks, beers and wine and I heard her say "Dang, I can't catch a break!" She finally came back and took my order. While I was waiting for my entree she brought the breadsticks and soup which were both good. I chose my favorite Zuppa Toscana. Nice hearty soup with potatoes, Italian sausage and Kale in a creamy white broth. My entree arrived and I chose Eggplant Parmesan. Although they bring everything out on hot plates it doesn't necessarily mean your food will be hot. The spaghetti and sauce was warm. The Eggplant parm was somewhat hot but the cheese on top was barely melted. I'm not one to send my food back but I almost did. Needless to say I will probably sit in the restaurant next time to see if there's any difference.

What made me rate this bad was strictly based on service. Not once but like a dozen times. Olive Garden is Olive Garden when it comes to prices, decor, food, ect. Parking is fine. Wait times are always a bit long. I would give this location a 4 if the waiters weren't always so bad. They are all slow, and very rude UCF students. Skip this location and drive to the one next to Fashion Square Mall. They are way better.

I love the olive garden. Every time I go the food is always fresh and hot. If I ever had a problem the management team are always accomodating. I am offered something different to eat or drink, if not, a gift card to return. My favorite entree is the salmon with broccolli. The wait staff is always friendly.
(5)Ken A.
Slow service, long ticket times, small portions...hmmm, wonder why Darden keeps posting poor quarterly returns? Positive notes- the stuffed chicken Marsala has good flavor, and the zuppa soup is great to dip those garlic breadsticks in. My oldest son enjoyed his chicken flatbread.
(3)Sean G.
This restaurant smells disgusting/dirty. Drive the distance and go to another one. Like they cleaned with with a sour mop/rag. You wanna smell that while you eat?!
(1)Cori G.
Used to love the Olive Garden but it's seemed to lose its consistency. The service here is unpredictable. Sometimes good, sometimes painfully slow. Meh.
(3)Samantha D.
Olive Garden is okay, the service was slow, to start we ordered a bud light and it was stale beer and they said it wasn't.The service was terrible we ordered and it took forever we finally got breadsticks and salad like 5 minutes before our food, they also gave us dirty dishes so we had to ask for new ones and it was kinda all at once, aren't Italians have spread out courses ? Anyways so we got our food the portions were small but it was good, I ordered a side order and I never got it , we told him and I got it when we were done with the food so I got it to go, also again small portions it was so tiny. And they just kept forgetting about us. The table behind us got there after us and left before us , there was two of us and four of them, one of the waitresses had an attitude and our waiter just not attentive. We were there for two hours for lunch. We will not be returning it was a terrible experience.

I've been here a couple of times with my family and my friends. My best experience was with the waiter. We had questions about which foods would be healthy to eat. The waiter gave his best advice and his serves was great! And on time.
(5)Denny C.
My husband and I chose this location to have an early dinner. We sat in the bar area and had the best server we've had in months. Food was excellent. The only thing we thought was in poor taste were two employees standing very close to the front door arguing; with one being a supervisor possibly and the other part of the wait staff. He was giving her a good chewing out, but why do that so close to the front door where everyone entering can hear their conversation. Very poor decision especially if he was anyone in a leadership position.
(5)Russ F.
I come here mostly for the salad and bread sticks, I mean they are the best. Service is usually pretty good except for this one time I went for some special they were running and the server said nothing about it so I ordered off the menu only to hear her offer the special to the table next to us while the manager was standing there.Other than that the few times I have been here everything came out like it was suppose to and they are usually quick to recommend a fruity drink to my girlfriend.

This pasties atonal joke. Learn how to cook pasta and other thing's that you sale and learn how to take care of. The customer and how the customer like when things are right this is not hard the staff is just ok need to learn how to work
(1)Erin S.
Olive garden is my favorite restaurant but I must admit I had to be forced back to this location a few times. The first time we had the endless pasta bowl. I just wanted to sample a little bit of everything. It was horrific. Everything about our meal tasted cheap and old. We left filling up on mostly soup and bread. I tried it once more but they were pretty busy. This time, our food took at least an hour before it arrived. The pasta was under cooked and the meat was burnt. Finally my third time back. (I know! What was I thinking?) However, I really love olive garden and this location was so close to where I live. The staff have always been so nice to me as well. THIS time would have been the deal breaker. Everything excelled my expectations and they have continued to do so every time I've been back! I am so glad that I gave this place not one, not two but a three chances! The fruity drinks are my favorite.

I am torn about Olive Garden. I can't tell you how many people always complain to me how OG is not authentic. I used to think, "man I must not know what real Italian food is!. Then I started to realize that WHO CARES?! As long as I enjoy the food and the atmosphere, why do I care if it is authentic? OG's food is VERY good and I enjoy the atmosphere there. Every once in awhile, I will get one of their special dishes and enjoy it. I especially like their salad although I try not to eat too much of eat since it isn't that great for you. But that is not why I am at OG in the first place! This location is close to UCF and always has a wait so I am not the only one that likes it. Get there early for shorter wait time.

Even though i have lived here for several years, and passes by so many time, but i haven't been to this location to eat yet. I decided to give it a try. It was on a Monday afternoon, and there's no line. I like how clean and neat this place was. Very laid back atmosphere. The waitress is very nice but extremely clueless of what's on the menu. She couldn't answer any of my question and the menu didn't have many selection to pick and choose from. I think half of the menu fell out or something. I ordered stuff chicken Marsala which i thought i ordered fish for some reason. When my food came out, i didn't see the stuffing. I was disappointed, it must have fell out of the plate, and i have to look for it. Maybe i should try to order this at another location. I might have a better luck next time. I do like my drink Roscato Berry Splash, it was awesome!
(3)Bettina T.
Can't go wrong with endless soup, salad, and breadsticks. The food is always great here but the service isn't. Server was a bit slow and didn't pay attention to our table.
(3)Alex B.
I always enjoy my time here, specially with their Italian margaritas.

so Linda and I went to Olive Garden why do you ask. I wanted to test a theory. Olive Garden has a seperate Healthy eating menu and Linda has some serious health issues which require her to control her salt intake along with cholestoral levels. I figured the big chain would have all that information for you. Alas I was wrong, they do not list sodium or cholestoral content. Very disappointed. Healthy menu choices featured low cal, low carb and gluten free choices with very limited nutrition information. we ate on a Monday night, our server was very knowledgable, friendly and corporatelly correct. A super duper corporate staffer. we indicated we had health issues and he still suggests the fried apps because he has to, very annoying, he also asked for dessert order too, along with pushing specialty drinks. Personally I find it annoying to the extreme when corporate cares less about me as a person and more about enforcing their staff to upsell. lets talk about dinner, unlimited salad bowl and bread sticks, we declined bread sticks and got our salad, Big chain should have fresh lettuce right, it tasted like it came out of a plastic bag and was still full of preseratives, the lettuce leaves were limp, wow 2 slices of roma tomato for 2 people, (tomato prices went up so let's save some money and offer less tomatoes its more important to keep our profits margin steady than bite the bullet for a month and take care of the customer). thanks no refills please. I ordered the Venetian chicken apricot glaze with vegetables and Linda ordered the sphaghetti pomodore. Pasta was cooked perfect, pomodore sauce very heavy on salt and garlic (of course our taste buds are very sensitive to salt so we could be overreacting). My chicken breasts looked absolutely beautiful, the grill marks were perfect color just like on TV. took a bite and thought I was eating airline chicken (you know preformed chicken patties tough as shoeleather) it kind of remineded me of eating a thick slice of deli turkey no flavor no moistness, the vegetables were awesome, carrots, broccolli and green asparagus the apricot glaze was also excellent and was the main reason I ate half of my chicken breast. My theory proved correct, if corporate sets the bar independents can easily exceed it.

Our server was very friendly and the staff looked like they had a great time doing their job. I love the bread sticks and soups. Olive garden is typically my favorite restaurant and I go here when I can afford to but this time we made the mistake of ordering the endless pasta bowl. It was awful. The noodles were soggy and the sauce was cold and gooey. I thought it would be a great way to sample different sauces but I have never been more disgusted in my life. I can't even think about coming back anymore.
(2)Lynnsie H.
can't go wrong with soup salad and bread sticks:) although i would love for them to get more soup options:)
(4)Virginia C.
Food was good and the Staff nice as always. They bring a cold aoup to my husband he complained, and they brought another, no big deal. We have just 3 stars because we had problema in the past and now it is just a little over average restaurant. We had great memories of this place and we keep coming for smoked mozarella and fetuchine alfredo.
(3)Christina H.
I'll admit, Olive Garden was kind of off my radar for places to eat for a pretty long time there. Service at this location had been abysmal on my previous visits and we just quit going. Then, I went to a Olive Garden event where we sampled their new menu, and I knew I would have to go back soon. So, with a relative in town and looking for a late lunch we settled on Olive Garden. Our server was fantastic. Her nickname was "Sweet Cheeks" so please, if you dine here, go in and ask for Sweet Cheeks. This was two weeks ago and I am still cracking up about her name. But at any rate, she was very good, efficient, and friendly. Friendly enough that we learned her nickname, major, and hometown. She was awesome. Olive Garden, never let her go. As for the food, we all ordered off of the new menu. For an appetizer we had the Polenta Shrimp alla Greca, which everyone loved. For entrees we had the Pappardelle Pescatore, and the seasonal lasagna with veggies and shrimp (I couldn't find it on the website to list the actual name, but it is awesome). So, classic Olive Garden, we left stuffed. Super stuffed. But happy. Olive Garden seems to be turning around... I'm going to have to go back again soon.
(4)Rick S.
Olive Garden is the same reguardless of all the changes, here I am again with another gift certificate that I have to use at one of their establishments. Here we go again, you go in they give you dinner menu at 12:30, you have to ask for the lunch menu. Other diners not aware will have to pay around $12 bucks for lunch. Okay I strayed off the review, anyway yet again OG changed their menu, constantly changing items and things you had a few months ago. So back to Russian rolette of what to eat. They have a few items to pick on the lunch menu, most centered around their breadsticks. Like a meatball sub on a breadstick, chicken parm on a bread stick. These breadsticks are a little wider then the ones you get with your meal. When I got meatball sub the bread fell apart and was soggy. They should just give you meatballs on a bed of spaghetti and skip the bread. Anyway I have no idea why they can't get their act together and have a decent menu at value prices. Instead they are constantly changing. As I stated I had a gift certificate as a gift and had to go. We don't go any other time. Meatball Shope on goldenrod getting really good reviews might have to give them a shot.

this place socks !!! My food was cold when arrived to the table and on top of that the waiter charged me for the soup that was supposed to be included. i'm done with this place.
(1)Robert A.
We ate there Sunday nite, visible understaffed when the food arrived it looked good but my seafood Alfredo was cool. Pasta was old dry too chewy. Portion was half of the portion of a chicken Alfredo beside me waiter was new and trying his best.

This place was packed on a Saturday night at like 9pm... For the record I was dragged here by my fiancee and a group of friends. Call me a snob.. who cares. Lots of high school students out on dates and families with low standards. I must admit that there isn't really anything wrong with the food, it is edible, but there is just nothing special. You get what you pay for. I had a massive stomach ache afterwards.. Oh yeah, the highlight of the meal was the ten Andes chocolate mints I ate. I love those mints... and Olive Garden gives them out with your check. That was plus worth a plus one star.
