Gio, is the best server at this restaurant! He is so awesome we ask for him everytime we dine here. The pumpkin cheesecake is so delicious as well!

Food was great as always. But when you ask for a quiet booth (during slow time) and they give you a table by a family with an unhappy infant...... It's not a good first impression.

I have been a customer of the Olive Garden forever. Can you say "unlimited salad." It truly is the best. I had some grilled ribs with ravioli that left me wanting to lick the plate. It was that good.

This location is one of my go to places for lunch. It's convenient and for the most part I'm satisfied with my experiences. However, I could never understand why they have to keep it so cold, lol. Is this really relevant to a review? It very well could be if you're like me and being comfortable while eating your meal is important. I would highly advise you to bring a sweater if cold restaurants are not enjoyable to you. The service is good, fair even. We tend to get a familiar waiter by the name of David, he's really attentive, doesn't intrude much, and always makes our time there worth it. If time is a concern during lunch hours you'll never have to worry about that if your party is small. They're hardly busy for lunch. It's not your typical "lunch rush" crowd. So in and out you'll go.

This is one of the original Olive Garden locations in Orlando and the first one I ever visited. I'm happy that not much has changed with this location. The food is good and the service is great. The area has become less desirable due to the housing crash, but still worthwhile to pay a visit. The traffic can be tough especially after 5 pm on weekdays.

Another near flawless lunch experience. Only two complaints. 1st-ly, This is a dinky-poo serving of eggplant parmesan. Really now, only two slices of eggplant about 4"in diameter for $9.00? Shame. Must have dropped at least one before it made it to the plate perhaps? Or a risky scheme to promote a dessert afterwards? Whatever. Good, hot n' tasty entree, just skimpy in size. Well, it didn't even match the picture at the least. 2nd-ly, I had added two Italian sausage links, since the included pasta was only for filling the plate up. I was hoping for Italian seasonings but was let down with this very bland protein added recipe. The tomato sauce on the pasta was light and had good sized flavorful chunks for the pickin. Zuppa Toscana soup was hot and full of potato, kale and sausage. Hard to keep your hands off the warm, salty and chewy bread sticks with this in front of you. Service again was spot on accurate and got us out in time to keep the boss from raising an eyebrow- again. Good job Anna!

Olive Garden may be one of the toughest establishments to rate, as the food is generally the same everywhere, the service has a high standard, and you are left in such a carb coma that everything that just occurred at dinner is a hazy happiness. That said, our stop in Orlando's Olive Garden elicited the following observations... 1. They handled our group of 13 well. Took a few minutes to pull a table together for us, but once seated, the service was solid. Food was brought quickly, salad/bread/drinks were quickly refilled, and the order was completed accurately. The waiter tag-team combo worked well with our kids (and adults). 2. Food was great...standard fare for OG, but great. The Northern Tour specialty was a nice derivation from the normal Tour of Italy. Chicken Parm was also a hit among several. I don't know what else to say. It was another successful visit, and it was what I expected it to be; nothing more, nothing less.

Came here for a baby shower, we were in a private room which was great! The service started off a little slow hence the 4 stars but once they got in the groove of things it was great. We had three servers specially for us, not sure if they had other tables if they did we never knew. Our glasses were never empty the made sure we had refills. I had a strawberry passion fruit lemonade, it was Delish! It had a little fizz in it towards the end but not too over powering. We had four choices Alfredo sauce with your choice of noodles, eggplant parm, lasagna or portobello mushroom ravioli. I choice the ravioli it was yummy the sauce was a little much as I could only eat two raviolis so I think next time I would say sauce on the side.. I would recommend this location for future events

Olive Garden is Olive Garden in any location you visit. Is it ok, yes it's ok. Is it great, no not great......the place is clean, the service was good, and the food.....well it's Olive Garden. Sometimes I find the waiter or waitress can't think outside the box. If you want to mix and match something they looked puzzled. I had the chicken Parm which comes with spaghetti. I asked for ziti instead. The waiter said sure no problem. When it got to the table it had spaghetti. I sent it back. I guess if you want to go out to dinner and be sure of what you going to get, then this is the place.

Our server Carlos was absolutely terrible. He was rarely around and wasn't friendly at all... no smile no nothing... I've never experienced such a thing at a chain restaurant! But whatever, I'm easy, I really don't care if my server is friendly. But here's what I do care about: I ordered the lunch special (unlimited soup, breadstick, salad) and he didn't refill on any of it (plus I believe he got my soup wrong but again, I'm not picky so I ate it thinking I'll just refill with the correct soup once I'm done... but he never showed up to check). He didn't refill anybody's soda or water... the heck, seriously?! I'd like to say more of what he did but he just was never there. I saw him 4 times. Once to take our drink order, once to take our food order, once to bring us our food, and once to give us our check. Thanks, you certainly did your job but you're terrible at it. Here's my theory: He probably thought we wouldn't tip because there was a black guy, an asian woman, and some tourists, all of which servers in general (I know server culture from my friends being servers) believe they don't tip well. This is bull crap as I usually tip 20-25%. Despite his extremely HORRIBLE service, I tipped him 18%, which he clearly did not deserve. It's just a feedback loop of them thinking we don't tip so they do a poor job, and us receiving terrible service so we tip less, which reinforces their thinking we don't tip, which of course we'll tip less for the bad service... what a moron. I'd have complained to the manager but we didn't have time and I didn't want to ruin our experience, seeing as I was with some friends I hadn't seen in ages. I would NEVER go to this Olive Garden again because of this stupid server. Truly disappointed at this Olive Garden.

The manager Jenny was an angel! She brought my purse I accidentally left all the way back to the airport for me. I cannot thank her enough!

Wow, wow, wow! This Olive Garden is definitely a step up from the Olive Garden on Osceola Parkway. (Which is the one closest to us.) Definitely worth a longer drive. Our server was always there when needed, he always seemed to get everything to us at the perfect time and without fail. He was also quite funny, not boring at all. The food was great. My Braised Beef and Tortellini was just as awesome as always and very hot, I couldn't find much bad with the food at all. The rest of our group reported on having very good food as well. (We all ordered something different.) I also have to mention the restaurant itself. Much more roomy than pretty much any other Olive Garden I've been to. The Olive Garden near the Loop is always packed and sometimes seems dirty and unkempt, which isn't true with this location. The layout of the restaurant works much better. I would recommend this place over the one on Osceola Parkway by a lot. Make sure to stop by if you are a fan of Olive Garden and what a safe, but good, meal.

We just had the best experience at this Olive Garden and it was completely because of our server Tay. He was so nice and social. He also was quick but never once made us feel rushed. He was a true professional server and made our visit absolutely perfect. Thank you Tay. Obviously great food too - you can't go wrong with Olive Garden. Everything came out piping hot - my dad even said that the pasta figuell was the best he'd had since his trip to Italy.

That damn salad. They've got to get a handle on the wilted stale salad they serve. I'm at the point I don't want it brought to the table...I'll order soup. Service is spotty- they shove the salad out to the table then immediately return with the meal. I've begun ordering salad, finishing it and then ordering my hot food. I figure, if they can't control themselves (even though we tell them "don't place the hot food order until we're through with our salad", they do it anyway and then get this surprised look when we tell them to take it back.) then I'll control the situation. Each server we get spews this claim :oh it won't come out too soon, I'll time it and when you are about half thru I'll put your order in." Of course, it never happens that way. Sand Lake at OBT- serves their hot food at room temp; every time. One server told a table-full of guests (and these are grown adults) "they serve it "not too hot" to avoid people being burned." I'm still rolling my eyes! We want to like olive garden...we really do. But, the fight to get it right each time just isn't worth it. It's exhausting. I'm giving three stars because it was clean, the room wasn't stale-smelling, and the hot food was hot (but only after all six in our party made the same demand "I want my hot food brought out hot- not warm.)

Terrible service. It took over a half hour to get my pasta dish and it wasn't even busy, it was a Wednesday night. Also, after apologizing for this the waiter then told me he was going to get me a water refill, which he didn't. Then 10 minutes later he again said he was going to get me a refill, again he never did. Then he took forever to get me the check. Also, there is absolutely no AT&T cell phone service in this restaurant. If the bad service weren't reason enough to not return this is a deal breaker I definitely cannot return here when I am on call for work. Very disappointed.

"This is the night, what a beautiful night, and they call it Bella Note..." When I think of Olive Garden, I think of Lady & the Tramp. What I need to do is stop thinking of it as "chain restaurant food." Olive Garden, no matter which one I go to, has consistently really good food. I've always had fast service. And I think the soup, salad, bread sticks is a perfect office lunch. This location was no exception. In fact, I found our server very in tune to the needs of our toddler.

Have to say this was the worst Olive Garden I have been to. The food was ok and the server was making myself, fiancé and friend very uncomfortable. The waiter made some remarks that were quite uncalled for. Took awhile for the food and to receive more breadsticks which were asked for while we were eating our salad but didn't receive them until we finished our meals. Do not plan on eating at this location ever again.

Came here for dinner last time I was shopping at the Florida Mall and the waiter was super cool. He was funny and even though he made a few mistakes here and there, his personality more than made up for whatever small errors he made (he quickly fixed them too). Their salad and breadsticks were great as well. We sampled some of their wine and it was also pretty good. My Fettuccine Alfredo was as good as always and the food came out pretty quick too! Good times at OG.

Best olive garden in the area

  • This is the one restaurant chain that i would like to bring back to England with me every time i visit. The food is Italian and to die for. With every meal you get an unlimited salad bowl and the most gorgeous garlic bread sticks. We always have to be careful not to fill up on the bread sticks before the main courses have arrived. There is a wide menu and i would say it is moderately priced. Whenever we have been we have only had a main course as we never have room for pudding. It often gets very bust at about 7pm with people coming out of the parks but you can book ahead if you wish. I wish they would set up a franchise here!

I have not been to The Olive Garden in years, partly because the thought of there overdressed salad makes my teeth hurt. But, we were in the area while waiting for Sprint to repair my phone, and figured why not. I was pleasantly suprised. I had the soup salad and breadsticks lunch, which is a hell of a deal @ $6.95. The salad, incidentally can be ordered UNDRESSED, imagine that. It may be absolutely un-italian (but seriously, is The Olive Garden truly Italian?) but I had a plain salad with racnch on the side. The breadsticks are soft bread, you can't go wrong there, and I had a bown of the Gnocci soup, which bore an incredibly striking resemblance to clam chowder sans clams. Anthony had Lasagna and properly dressed salad, and it was fine. I was really suprised how inexpensive it was overall,a nd our server was REALLY nice. He gave me a whole handful of Andes mints to take home. :-)

  • always busy but you never have to wait too long. this restaurant is brilliant value for money - you always get free hot bread sticks and salad - as much as you can eat before your main meal. The food is amazing and the staff are always attentive. One of the best value restuarants in the area.

  • This place is the one of the best restaurants ive ever been too and its not even that expensive. Italian themed chain found all over america. My favourite thing about it is how they bring you delicious bread and salad to eat for free whilst you wait on your order. Always visit here at least a few times when on holiday.

  • When we were in Florida we ate at the olive garden most nights during our second week (after trying out a few of the alternatives). The reason we chose to eat here was that it was reasonably priced, the food was really good and tasted like real food rather than fast food, the waiting staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and it was really comfortable with a great atmosphere.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
