Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

NO THANKS! Never again! This location has always been convenient as I love right down the street. I would rather go out of my way and eat at a different location. The last two times I dined at this location the restaurant was not busy at all! Visit #1: A friend and I sat in a booth and placed and order for drinks, he had a coke and I had a peach Bellini. The waiter brought him the coke and me a peach tea then tried to tell me that is what a peach Bellini is. I'm no alcohol expert but I do know it includes alcohol and not tea. The other four booths around us filled up with parties of 4. I ordered a grilled chicken caeser and my friend got some pasta dish ( we ordered about 10 minutes before the other tables ). The waiter came back to our table 3 times to make sure he placed the order correctly. Really, ANNOYING! While this was going on the four booths received ALL of their food, I looked they got pasta dishes, and there I sat still waiting 45 minutes later for my lettuce and chicken breast. The waiter then tried to say that they were backed up because a party of 50 was on the other side of the restaurant. Ya, ok! Even if that was true a salad does not take that long to make and definitely does not take longer to make than all 4 other tables pasta dishes which were put in about 15 minutes after our order. RIDICULOUS! Visit #2: Once again the restaurant was not busy, we walked in and were told it would be just a few minutes which is fine not a big deal. During this few minutes sitting there waiting I witnessed 4 waiters laughing and giggling in the foyer area and talking crap about a woman who placed a Togo order and asked to have it brought to her car because it was raining. Very UNPROFESSIONAL! Once we were seated the waitress came over to ask our drink order I ordered a diet coke and my friend a orange juice, 15 minutes later we received them. Why? Because our waitress was helping a server bring food to another table. I could see our drinks sitting on the counter a few feet away I should have just got them myself to avoid them being watered down. After that the good didn't take too long to get to us and tasted as it should. I would never recommend this location and will not be returning. HORRIBLE SERVICE & ATTITUDES!

I have never before been disappointed at an olive garden but if I could give this one 0 stars I would. They brought me beef instead of chicken meatballs. I spent the rest of my visit in the bathroom vomiting as I haven't eaten beef in well over 15 years. When the manager came over he offered to send something else home w me. When we refused he did take the entree off. But he did not remove my drink that I hadn't touched. I'm going to be sick all night and the manager actually said the cook made a similar mistake last week. Are you kidding me? Our meal should absolutely have been comped. Not to mention the waitress was rude and was visibly displeased to have to serve a table with children. They also had no high chairs and gave my son a booster instead, but there were no other children in the restaurant. At 4 in the afternoon I probably should've taken that as a sign and left. Excuse me while I go continue to vomit.

Good food and friendly, attentive service. I had no complaints whatsoever so the three-star rating is only because I just don't feel right about rating higher when I think about how a restaurant compares to the places I would rate four or five stars.

Excellent all you can eat soup and salad!!

I am back to let you know that despite site review direct to Olive Garden and the Feb 20 Yelp review, we NEVER heard a peep from Olive Garden. That says alot about the way they do business, doncha think!!? I sure do understand why several friends and family adamantly no longer patronize them - their breadsticks and supposedly endless salad bowl (and watery soup) can cover just so much poor management!!! Bye-bye, Olive Garden!

I only come here when someone else make the plans. The food is not bad, but you can just get home made Italian food that is much better at so many other places in town. I'm always a bit let down after eating here

Standard Olive Garden service and fare. You always know what you're getting. A safe bet every time.

Okay so I am new to the area and my husband meet once a week for lunch so I chose Olive Garden. Unfortunately we wound up at two different Olive Gardens. I got confused and did not realize there are 3 on Colonial Drive soooo my 3 year old and I had a nice quick lunch here. The service was excellent as was the food. Hopefully next week we will wind up at the same place :)

Great food. Quick. Friendly. Had chicken Parm, portion was so big I couldn't finish. Manger made rounds to tables. Always good to see.

hoping for good food but, it's always a toss up.

I have to defend the much-maligned Olive Garden. Foodies (and I'm a foodie) laugh at it. But much of what they offer beats some of the better-reviewed independents. And no, I don't work for Darden. Their Zuppa Toscana is a delightful soup; the salad with the huge black olives is always a treat, especially in the summer heat. And many of the entrees are as good as you can get for the price. Like other Darden restaurants, they don't understand the concept of timing, so you have to watch for that. But overall, it's an excellent standby restaurant. It's clean, affordable, and quite good. I've never had a disappointing meal at any Olive Garden.

The food is great and the waiters are awesome! This is my fave olive garden to go to in orlando, and it's right next to fashion square mall. The Alfredo dipping sauce is delicious, and the salmon plate is flavorful and robust. Definitely a good lunch date spot, and my boyfriend and I left there happy and full!

Found a COCKROACH in the salad!!! Went there tonight to have a nice italian dinner. The waiter was late to get the order, and drinks came after the soup and salad, but thats fine, we understand. While my wife was trying the salad, she suddenly found the cockroach in salad. We kindly told the waiter to get rid of salad, he was kind and ask manager. He apologized and offered another salad. Then the waiter came along and said the meal would be on house, we were like ok. And we wanted to leave, they suddenly asked us to pay. They literally asked us to pay for salad that has cockroach in it. I would never go to this branch and any other olive garden.

My fiancé and I LOVE Olive Garden. We came to this location because it is actually the oldest Olive Garden in the world. The food was incredible. The service was incredible. The staff was incredible. We would give it 6 stars if yelp would let us. If you love Olive Garden or food or fun, this location is an absolute MUST visit.

My boyfriend and I had very good service at this location, we both did the soup and salad dinner option. And while I didn't have enough room to have an extra bowl of pasta our waiter worked it out so that I took take a whole one home! Such amazing service!

I love Olive Garden breadsticks and salads so good! My service was perfect until the end when my server forgot my change and served all the tables around me and didn't bother to look at my table so after waiting like 15 mins I said excuse where's my change he said sorry I forgot omg he probably assumed all the change was his tip ! I tip based on service give me good service you get good tip bad service bad tip!

I don't necessarily go here for their entrees, but more so for their all you can eat soup and salad. It's a quick meal (even on your lunch hour) and very filling and delicious. They have so many great soups to pick from and can change up what kind you have with every bowl. My two favorites are definitely the pasta fagioli and chicken and gnocchi. Yum! The italian dressing on their salad is delicious and you can also customize it if you don't like certain things that come in it, which makes for much easier eating when you don't have to pick through it. If I do get an entree, it's the chicken parmesan with fettuccine alfredo on the side. Always a classic and it's tasty, but it's definitely not on the top of my list as one of my favorite chicken parmesans. I do tend to go to Olive Garden a lot during the time when they're running their never ending pasta bowl deal! It's fantastic! You pay around $7 or $8 for all you can eat soup or salad and pasta. You can change up what you eat every time. Some of my favorites are the fettuccine alfredo, penne with meat sauce and linguine with the five cheese sauce. Here's a tip.....ask for a smaller bowl for your first pasta dish so you don't fill up on your first one. They will bring you out a large bowl of pasta for your first one and then for your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc....you get a small bowl (the size of the soup bowl). I like to get all small so I can try different pastas without filling up on the first.

The new menu is excellent. Smoked mozzarella melt appetizer is phenomenal. I'm a meat man by trade but have just been craving lighter fare lately. Lighter being chicken or fish salads, sandwiches rather than steaks and pork. There were a number of new low calorie meals which would have done the trick for me. Good job OG on keeping it interesting and changing up the menu selections. The crowd in here today seemed a bit trailer park, maybe there was a discount flyer handed out at the of track betting joint or maybe a tour bus to go see a giant bottle rocket or something.

Visited this location with my daughter in the afternoon. We had a great experience with excellent service. Our server Sirena went above and beyond to make our mother daughter day even more enjoyable.

Maurice was really attentive and nice. Would definitely go again. Had the stuffed chicken Marsala and the steak Gorgonzola Alfredo which were both very good. Breadsticks and salad were the same as always for Olive Garden. Everything was really tasty and the service was excellent.

I give it one star. Where ever I am, I'm tired of seeing the Olive Garden being rated the highest, often 4 and 5 stars, when there are always so many tastier and healthier places to eat.

Standard Olive Garden service...nothing to write home about. Food always tastes exactly the same which I guess is a good thing. I'm pretty sure everything is pre-made though.
