$3.99+tax for the island breakfast. It comes with 2 eggs, a meat of choice (ham, bacon or sausage), cuban toast with butter, and a drink (can of soda or coffee with milk). The food itself is good and cheap. I would give the place more stars if the service was better. The service is slow and apathetic. I asked for a customer receipt because I paid with card and the server seemed annoyed. She asked me if I really need it and I said yes. Is a receipt too much to ask for?

Service is slow and the ladies take their sweet time in everything. Cheap on the food, but I do come back for coffee and 4 leche. Only recommendation here. Looking for good food and service head to Zaza Cuban diner

Located in a nondescript plaza right across Sam's along Goldenrod side, this place is not visually inviting. However, upon entering Old Cuban Cafe I was pleasantly surprised by its ambience, decor and the smell of coffee. I've been coming here 2-3x a week at 8am for Cafe Con Leche and sometimes breakfast. I've always been happy with their Cuban Omelette or a Beef Empanada. Both of which are very tasty. There are mornings I decide to have a Quesito or two which has always been freshly made. The staff are friendly and the service acceptable. Perhaps being bilingual gives you and edge but I've never had the feeling I need to be.

We had been customers from the beginning, wheb they were located on the other corner of the plaza. Food is really good, authentic Cuban food now with time portions are smaller and prices are skyrocket higher. I used to live in Miami and visit frequently prices are not so high or if so portions are bigger. Found another place by Aloma as good as this one, friendly staff, big portions and decent prices.

I typically come here on my lunch break. The food is delicious and well priced however the staff could be better. the wait can 30 minutes or more for a meal! It's typically not crowded when we go so I don't understand it. Parking is scarce. Also, bilingual skills can be to you advantage. What brings me back...the food!

I have been here several times but this is the first time I have been able to Yelp! about Old Cuban Cafe. Being a first generation Cuban American and growing up with that Cuban 'sabor' all my life I always compare it to my cooking or my mom's(Abuela.). Had lunch here the other day. They have daily luncheon specials to choose from. The special of the day was a stewed chicken, tostones, and arroz congri. It was delicious. The portion was quite generous and filling. The service was attentive but not overbearing. I will be returning to this location for a meal again. Looking forward to sharing this experience with friends and family.

Best cuban sandwiches in town, staff is awesome, this is my weekend breakfast place, always packed, sometimes you have to wait for a table but it worth it. Cuban deluxe is the best sandwich ever

This place is a legit Cuban restaurant. They're aren't too many in Orlando that are like the ones in Miami. Great food and authentic cafe con leche. You can get a whole meal, a drink, and a coffee for under $10.

I absolutely love this place!!! Their media noche is fantastic! Loved their fried yuca with the special sauce!!!! And my favorite of all was their cheese flan! It is to die for! Definitely worth checking it out. Amazing food at a great price!!!

I had been here before several years ago and didn't really care for the food here but when I heard that they changed management and changed the layout of the restaurant as well as the food, I decided to come back and give it a try. Breakfast was amazing, simple ingredients, fast service. I came in at 8:30am on Saturday and almost every single table was filled, so apparently the word has gotten out that they make awesome food here to the point where people will actually get up early on Saturday to eat here! The best deal you can get is the two eggs, cuban bread, choice of ham, sausage, or bacon, and french fries (I skipped the fries) You get all that for $3.99 so yeah; there's really no reason why not to give it a try.

Seeing as I was born and raised in Hialeah, it's safe to say my standard for Cuban food is pretty high. Someone mentioned this place a couple months ago but I finally had a chance to head in there today. Let me start by saying that I hold croquettas to a high standard and can easy call BS on one that came out of a Goya box. I ordered 3 and the wait time took a bit mainly because they are made fresh to order. As soon as I got them, it was crispy outside, perfect inside. Seriously, one of the best croquettas I've had in Central Florida. It reminds me of Molina's restaurant in Miami. I ordered the cafe con leche which was delicious, incredibly hot, and perfect in sweetness. I took a pastelito de guayaba to go and even after a couple of hours it was delicious. I came back today for more croquettas, cause I'm a sucker. The people reminded me of home because it was a bunch of Cuban, old guys commenting on Cuban policies. Safe to say, I'll be back about another million times.

i had a cuban sandwich here. pretty good stuff. generous portions of turkey. i took some plantain chips which i believe they make themselves. those were very very tasty and i will get more of that next time im in orlando. orders took a little long to come out but nothing outrageous either.

This is a small cute Cuban cafe that my friends and I regular. I always get their Cuban Sandwich with a couple papas rellenas. Service is nice and there is a very relaxed atmosphere once you step inside. I have tried their steak sandwich one time and it was a bit on the salty side so I haven't ventured away from my regular order since.

I've been here a few months back & ordered the special of the day which was fried pork chops smothered in onions with black beans, rice and plantains. It wasn't the best nor the worst but not worth seconds in my opinion.

Solid. This is a solid place to come for breakfast or lunch. They have delicious Cuban breakfast food like omelettes, eggs with chorizo, croquettas de jamon, and other pasteles as well as pretty good cafe con leche, cafe colada, and cortaditos. What I love is their sandwiches. The Cuban sandwich and media noche are fantastic as expected, but I highly recommend people try the Choripan sandwich. It is a delicious tapestry of guilty pleasures like serrano ham, chorizo, cheese, and pickles all grilled hot on a plancha. It is really a fattening dream. If you're new to Cuban coffee, I suggest getting the cafe con leche which is mixed with a good portion of milk to mitigate and sweeten the extremely strong cuban coffee. I personally love cafesitos which are just straight up cuban coffee. But, what's great about life is you get to CHOOSE which coffee you have!

Heard on the spanish radio about this great restaurant and bakery so we thought we would try it out. Sat waiting for a server for almost 10 minutes with 3 walking right by us without even a hello. I finally went to the counter to get my own menu, another server walked right past me without a hello. 10 min later, a person finally came to take our order. Funny, another family came in, sat and were addressed within maybe 2 minutes of sitting down. Maybe we did not look hispanic enought? The bread they used for our sandwich was not fresh and the food did not wow me at all. Bakery? What bakery? they had two small cases with Flan type desserts and an even smaller case with a few pastelillos. That is not a bakery. They had 3 televisions going on with different channels and one was so loud you could barely talk to the person sitting accross you. I left with a headache and very dissappointed. Drove out of our way to check this place out and now we know - won't go there again.

Great prices, great food, and pretty authentic too. In this particular cafeteria/restaurant, I like the sandwiches more than the plates. Even though I normally lower the rating for having food from other countries in a 'Cuban' restaurant, the Tripleta Sandwich (typically Puerto Rican) is amazing here. The Cubano Deluxe is also amazing - when I normally skip Cuban sandwiches. More selection than others in the area. Their coffee is great, great colada and cortadito. I normally grab a dozen 'Pastelitos de Queso' (Cuban) or 'Quesitos' (Puerto Rican); they will understand both and are the same item; have them cut in half and take them to work. People love them.

Old Cuban Cafe is my favorite place to grab my morning espresso at, their coffee is on point! All of their food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Been coming here for years and see no reason to stop, no complaints about this place, I love it.
(5)Daisy J.
I had he Cuban sandwich and it came with a side of fries; so good! It was enough to fill me up and even have left overs. The girl behind the counter was very friendly, which is always a plus when I'm visiting places for the first time.
(4)Donna S.
food and coffee was great, service was HORRIBLE! We received a lot of unwarranted attitude from our waitress and had to ask her for almost everything. i want to go back but don't want to feel uncomfortable. We will have to find another cuban spot!

If you think Los Authenticos Cuban is authentic....please move on to the Old Cuban Cafe! Our waiter just came to the states from Cuba 2 months ago!! They have many authentic dishes and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend the Media noche. My friend got the vacca fritta, and he said that was also outstanding. The portions are so big that you have to take some home. I spent less than $10 and was stuffed! Of course with that said, the service did need to improve a bit. The location is kind of hidden, and near the other Cuban restaurant I mentioned. Also, if you "like" them on Facebook, you get an Empanada!

I've been here a few times. Their breakfast is good they serve them w French fries which I love cause my daughters love them! Their portions are big you get a lot of bacon a huge tostada de pan cubano. Their colada w leche and sugar is to die for!! Service has been great. Been served by the same lady w the red hair. Very nice lady. Every time I go by myself she asked how are my daughters and sends them kisses. Their batidos I like too their 3 leches is good but sweet..then again they all are. But this is the place to GO to get coffee..
(3)Nieves R.
The food here is pretty good and I come here very often to get my Cuban food fix. I have tried different plates and everything was really good except for their red beans which had a weird taste to them. I really liked their flan. If you are ordering take out it does take a while so I recommend calling over the phone first.

I ordered a cuban sandwich on sweet bread (Media Noche). It was really good and I highly recommend it. A couple reasons why I took two stars off. The place is not that great and it is in a location that is not that great either. The service was a bit slow and the waitress didn't even speak any english. Again, i can deal with that because it is there to cater to their people. But there should be some basic understanding. Anyway, if you are in the area, give it a shot because the food was really good.

We love this place! My husband and I go almost every Sunday and we eat a full breakfast and pay a little more than 10 dollars for both of us, including tip. Great coffee, breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, fresh orange juice, the list goes on and on.
(4)Cori C.
I love this place. I usually go for breakfast because their Island breakfast is perfect with everything I grew up eating in Miami. It can be pretty noisy at their Goldenrod location but they have a NEW ONE on E. Colonial, just east of alafaya. Their food is AUTHENTIC cuban food and soo good. It's like stepping into a cuban cafeteria in Miami. Delicioso!
(5)Gabby B.
Amazing food! Friendly staff! Best deal on a delicious authentic Cuban breakfast without a doubt!

Plenty of parking & easy to find location. Service staff is nice & friendly, quick service. Big portions for the prices. I got the liver steak and it was great except for the rice & bean, rice was a little hard.
(4)Amy D.
I had the chicken in garlic sauce , yuca, and rice and beans. Delicious food with generous portions. Staff is friendly. I was with 3 other people who also enjoyed their meals and portions.

I went over with my Dad on Sunday after church. We order fresh juices and cuban sandwiches. The ambiance was kind on noisy.. The fresh juices were awesome taste but the sandwiches were missing the mustard. I don't know if the forgot to served or it comes on the side.
(3)Widnelly C.
The food is great. Breakfast is awesome, cooked just how I like it. The prices are decent as well. The service depends on the day you go but even if it's busy they're usually quick. Sometimes they may take a while to acknowledge you which I don't particularly like but overall it's good food for cheap prices.
(4)Prescott P.
Solid food, but I wish they were more paleo friendly. However, the flavors are very authentic and the service is very friendly. I'd go back!

I do enjoy going to Old Cuban Cafe a lot. To me it becomes a breakfast list staple because of their Island breakfast that features two eggs (scrambled or fried), buttered bread, fries and choice of bacon, sausage or ham. Did I forget to mention that coffee is included and it is only $4.25 (that includes tax). Besides breakfast foods the sandwiches are nice, filling and not too expensive. I think the most expensive sandwich may be $7 but everything I have tried is worth the price. Another thing that I would recommend here is the natural juices. I just had the orange just here today and it was so delicious that I can imagine that the rest is great too. My one tip for non Spanish speakers is to be patient with the staff. A lot of the servers are more fluent in Spanish than English. It doesn't bother me though because it helps me practice.

Food was ok. I liked el cubano better on colonial. Not only was the food better, the service was amazing! Here, some of the ladies that worked there were openly staring at my boyfriend and I and it just seemed rude. They didn't get my order correct, the red beans contained no beans at all (it was liquid only), and the lechon was laughable! The one good thing we had was the flan. Other than that, I am sure there are tons of other restaurant with better service and better food.
