The food here is amazing! I came in at 4 a.m. to get a late nite fix and it was well worth it! To find a Halal (Kosher) chicken joint that's open late is unheard of. Great food and quick service. Highly recommend!

I would describe my visit to New Texas Fried Chicken as a very very interesting experience. From the "Welcome To The Hood" shirt hanging in the corner to the cashier/manager/jack of all trades, New Texas Fried Chicken has it all, literally everything - fried chicken, check, pizza, check, cheesesteak check, kabob check, slices of cake - you better absolutely believe they have that CHECK! Unfortunately, the only thing missing at New Texas Fried Chicken is service and quality food. Found myself walking over to New Texas before an evening city game to grab a #7 combo - spicy chicken sandwich, fries and drink ($6.99). The cashier, friendly enough, quickly took my order - shouted it to the back and proceeded to wheel and deal with friends I assume. He was in and out of the store numerous times throughout my 20 minute wait. The guy making the chicken, who thank god was wearing gloves, was quite possibly the slowest individual I have ever seen in my life. Hate McDonalds, but they have a nice system to crank out food in a reasonable time. Texas Fried Chicken on the other hand - absolutely marches to their own beat. . . just pray the trifecta clicks sooner than later as you will only get your food (1) IF they remember you ordered, (2) get around to making it, and (3) someone realize your food is on the counter ready to be given out. And take my word for it, the #7 combo was definitely not worth that 20 minute wait. Will I give them another try? Probably. The fried chicken ordered well after me, but delivered well before, looked decent. I heard some drunk city fans raving about the biscuits. And a small cup of macaroni and cheese ordered by another patron looked appetizing. Worth a visit sober and prior to an event, don't waste your time, literally don't waste your time praying for that timely trifecta to occur.

I wish I could give no stars. Decided to stop in and check out their gizzards and have a chicken breast, worse choice ever. Spent 15 minutes waiting while the employee in the drive thru was hitting on the girl in the car infront of me, when I eventually made it to the window they had problems with my card and even asked for my pin number (?) Of course I never gave it to them but it was so unprofessional. After 20 mins of waiting I got my food and yuck, gizzards had zero taste and vinegary. They were just clumped up pieces and undivided like no care was given. The chicken was ok, seasoned well and juicy but after eating the gizzard it was ruined. Employees looked dirty and unprofessional and there's zero doubt that I won't ever eat here again.

I love this spot because the menu has everything and they're open late. They aren't expensive either. I've never been disappointed when I go here. The pizza and onion rings are good and so is the ice cream. The staff is super friendly as well. The only thing I didn't care for was how long I wait sometimes, but my food is always fresh so it makes it worth it. The location isn't ideal but don't be scared to try it :)

We went there and ordered: Gyro, philly cheese steak and chicken tenders. Everything was great! The philly cheese steak is mouth watering. Also, the price is great according to the generous amount of food u get.

Bad location, good food. I like the gyro, my husband usually gets wings or a chicken burger or pizza or all of the above. He doesn't usually get to eat meat, so I cut him a break when we go and let him binge. Only thing is, be aware of your surroundings, especially late at night (when we usually go). The people there are usually drunk or on drugs, but mostly they just want to eat same as you so if you leave them alone they shouldn't bother you. PS - It's halal! :P

I don't ever give out one star reviews but this place is terrible. I've been drunk each time I've had it but the fried chicken sucks, dry, over cooked. The last time I had it we ordered delivery. We bought $40 worth of stuff; shrimp, chicken, etc. We called back again and again and each time were told it was on the way. 2 hours and 14 minutes later it showed up. I refused the delivery as it had been on the road at least an hour. No call back from the place or anything. If your wasted near OBT maybe consider the chicken but it's not that good.

I stopped by during lunch and was not disappointed. The menu is vast, and I was concerned that having so many items would affect the quality, but it turned out to not be a problem. The facilities are clean, and the staff offered good service. I ordered a two piece combo (drum, breast, biscuit, 1 side). The meal came quickly, and was delivered to my table by one of the staff, a nice touch you never see at a true fast food place. The chicken was juicy without being too greasy, and the skin was crispy with great flavor. The coleslaw was passable...nothing to write home about. They also brought out two large condiment bottles with my meal: ketchup & hot sauce. Sure beats opening up a bunch of tiny packets. Overall the chicken was very good, and I plan on returning to try other items. The menu is so vast, you could eat there for weeks and still not exhaust the menu.

The neighborhood fried chicken joint 'in the ghetto'... Walked in at 3am and had the most delicious fried chicken around. Everyone was super friendly. The parking lot seems a little scary. But they have lights up to make it more safe. At the end of the day the location is a bad one being in the hood.

We arrived in Orlando from Maryland today- this was our first stop from the airport. I read about it on Zabiha . com and thought we would give it a try. As other reviewers have already said- Huge menu! Good prices, food was decent, but.. Nasty, sketchy neighborhood. Oh well- but the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is simply the lame Club- thumping music they blare inside. We came to eat chicken with 4 small kids, not attend a rave. I hope that we will get the food again before we go home, it really was good.. I would recommend it but maybe thru the drive-thru next time.

I love coming here at night because they are open late. However, the guys at the drive up window are always overwhelmed at the amount of work they are doing and they rushed us to order food and rush cooked our food... and forgot a few things on our order. PLEASE improve your customer service... maybe try adding smiles at the drive thru and cooking the food to order so that it is eatable!! ....WHY SERVE FOOOD YOU PERSONALLY WONT EAT YOURSELF ?!

I go there on a weekly basis, love it! Dislike the area but atleast they have drive thru and I don't have to leave my car! Please keep the food consistently good!!! Bc I'm hooked! Been good every time so far!
