Crappy service even when slow! However their noodle dishes are awesome and hearty portions! Usually dimsum is served here but I have noticed many elderly chinese customers order the regular dishes and not the dim sum! Hot tea is $1 - and they use packets! ughhhhh!

Very authentic dim sum. I only see Chinese people here. So it must mean something. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the different kinds of dim sum as well as the regular entrees that I have tried in my 3-4 visits here for lunch. Keep in mind that this is Cantonese so if spicy is your thing, you may not be entirely satisfied. But overall 5 stars. Love it! :-)

After spending a few days at Universal, we missed real food and had to go somewhere. We decided to come here after reading the reviews and glad we did! We got here at 10 AM and were really happy that they were open. We shared Congee with Shredded Pork and Preserved Eggs, Rice Roll with Deep Fried Dough, Rice Roll with Beef, Turnip Cake, and Chive Dumplings. Everything was freshly made and tasted great. Daughter loved the Congee and discovered something new when she dunked the rice roll with dough into the congee and swirled the soy sauce around. She loved it! I thought it was cute that they included a suggested tip list with the bill! I'm so glad that we found this place. Service was friendly. Will definitely return when in the area.

Chinese cuisine at its worst! I have no idea how this place has a good rating on Yelp and can't believe this place is in business! Service was super slow, every dim sum item was pure mush, the lotus leaf with sticky rice was just rice with barely any pork, chicken or anything of substance! They served us mushy soup dumplings which were somehow undercooked because the pork inside was raw still. Disgusting! I was lucky that I didn't walk out with food poisoning. The inside is tacky as each table is covered with a plastic table cloth. On top of that, it felt like the air conditioning was set at 80 degrees. Sweating while waiting for crappy dim sum is not my idea of a Sunday funday. After we complained about the food taking forever and the undercooked dumplings and decided to cancel the other half of the order, they still had the audacity to charge us full price for what we ate and then some. NEVER COMING BACK!

This place is very delicious and authentic! Definitely a hidden gem. I moved from California and it's been a journey trying to find delicious places to eat. Thanks to my awesome fiancé who discovered this place just by driving by. :)

Talk about disappointing. Came here for dimsum lunch and was hopeful that out of all the dimsum places I've tried in Orlando, this was to be slightly more promising based on the reviews but I was completely and utterly disappointed. Service was slow but I wouldn't fault the servers for that since there was nothing to serve. Our order of 4 steamed dimsum containers and 4 fried dimsum orders took over an hour. You would think by the time the food came, we would be starving and having everything taste amazing but no. All dishes tasted the same- very bland. Puzzles me how this restaurant is able to operate. I feel frozen dimsum from the Asian market or even Trader Joe's has far better quality. I've had my fair share of dimsum ranging from different countries and cities and this is one sad sad sad excuse for Chinese cuisine.

Food and service both are very good .Restaurant open early convenient for traveler their pan fried noodle ,steam chicken also dim sum can't miss to try if you need Chinese food in early morning this is the one.

THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM. Me and 3 friends form NYC came here and opened the place up at 10am on a Friday. They werre ready for us. We are big eaters and know our Yum Cha. Place was clean and waitresses friendly..one from my home town Toi San. I like to judge Dim Sum on the quality of their Har Gau (shrimp dumplings). We ordered a bunch of stuff and had to wait. This is good sign meaning stuff wasnt frozen or prepared days ago. Har Gau (4) were huge...with big whole pieces of shrimp...hardly any filler. Shu Mai equally large with fresh pork and quality skin. Beef noodle and shrimp noodle had great skin...fresh...and fresh steam pork spare ribs were on the money. I especially like the fried taro ball with minced pork,,,and my favorite...Hom Suey Gok were freshly fried, puffy, and filled w/meat. Not only was the food great, but service was good...no rush...and best of all...cheap as heck. Yo...this is the spot...coming from seasoned NY eaters. Loved this place. Felt like Canton.

Passed by this place like two months ago and finally was able to go there. Food taste great! Comparing to the dim sum I've been through down on east colonial and mills. I would definitely go to this dim sum place again. The staff are very friendly and they actually come and talk to you unlike the typical Chinese restaurant.

I don't know if they were just having a REALLY off day, but nothing this place showed me matched what the reviews say. I would not come back here for dim sum again. There are other places that taste a lot better and have quicker/better service. During my time here I was served raw Shanghai soup dumplings, mushy and bland food, and slow service. My friends and I decided we didn't want to wait for the rest of our order because it was taking way too long, and from what we did receive it probably wouldn't be worth it. So we cancelled the rest of the order and paid for what we ate. If you're looking for good dim sum, go somewhere else. It's a shame because I wanted to like this place since it shares my last name! Too bad! :(

Delicious! Best dim sum ever! Everything taste great and the waitress' are very friendly and actually talk to you compared to other Chinese restaurants that I've been to. Reasonable prices and food comes out fast and is cooked just right. Definitely best Dim Sum in the Orlando area.
(5)Whitney F.
Never knew this place had dim sum. It's definitely better than Lam's or Minh's on East Colonial. This place is also pretty decent priced. The service was surprisingly good since Chinese restaurants usually don't have great service. The food wasn't the best dim sum I've ever had but definitely not bad and probably best in Orlando. Only weird thing was that they dilute their red vinegar with white vinegar (we ordered soup dumplings). It's also convenient since it's right next to the Taiwanese bakery and the big Oriental market. I'll come here for dim sum from now on! It also looked like people ordered evening dishes so they probably have some good, authentic Chinese dishes for dinner too, will have to try!

There are a lot of hidden gems in Orlando and this is one of them. We came across this place on our last day in Orlando and I was so happy that we decided to dine here. We ordered the seafood pan-fried noodles and a few things off their dim sum menu. I loved the shrimp dumplings and the shrimp rice noodle rolls. I've never been to HK, but I've had a lot of dim sum as I grew up in the San Francisco bay area and this place is just as good as the dim sum restaurants in CA. The way they set up this place isn't like the typical dim sum place where they push the carts around. I think this place is too small for that. One thing I didn't like about this place was the wait. We got the pan-fried noodles first and it took another 20 minutes to get our next dish and then another 10 minutes to get the next one. There were a lot of downtime during the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to enjoy some delicious dim sum! PS - Excellent customer service - We didn't speak Cantonese and they were still really friendly to us.

I didn't come here for the dim sum really, I wanted authentic Cantonese dishes like stir fried lobster, snails, and Dungeness crab. Well they said they didn't have the snails and the crab will probably cost $50+ for one. I was fine with that, but later our server came out and said they didn't have the crab either. Sad face, so I just decided to get dim sum instead. Dim sum actually were really tasty. I will probably return next time when I'm in Orlando to see if they have what I want again. The atmosphere was casual, service was subpar.

First off, the restaurant itself smelled horrible as soon as I walked in. The service was subpar. The staff was not friendly and we had to ask 3+ times for water and napkins. The dim sum served was cold as well. Will DEFINITELY NEVER come here again. We complained the food was cold. After verifying this, the server never apologized or anything.

This place has hand down the best dim sum I have ever tasted. And I have been around. lol The chicken feet is literally the best I have had any where. It literally falls off the bone good. The shrimp dumpling is good as well. The eggplant was also a favorite. But the best dishes from here is definitely the chicken feet. Now this review is only for the foods. The service from here is also the worst I have experienced. lol. But I would come back for the foods regardless of the service. But i really hope the next time I am town and visit this place, I won't have to wait 20 minutes to get my foods and 20 minutes to get the check and 10 minutes to get sauces. This place was a waiting game all around. It's fairly small, family own restaurant with about two waitress that can't handle a couple of tables. Their English is okay and they don't know the name of their sauces. lol. Overall service is horrible but foods is good so still five stars from me. :)
(5)Belle L.
Poor. Ordered wonton soup - the wonton filling was shrimp paste, not actual shrimp. Parents previously visited and their dim sum was came out & still frozen in the middle.

This is just for the dim sum. Average with a good selection. Friendly staff. The hours on Yelp is incorrect.

this was my first dim sum experience in florida. my palate was created after enjoying san francisco dim sum... mr. wong's did not disappoint!!! great food and excellent service on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. based on yelp and a food lover's guide to Orlando I have a few other places to try, but they will be hard pressed to improve upon mr. wong's. frankly, only room for improvement would be larger menu and the traditional carts; although enjoying freshly cooked, direct to my table dim sum kind of outranks the picturesqueness of carts... interior lacks style and panache, but everything (including ladies room) was clean so who cares about style. also they served an excellent pot of puerh tea which is always a plus. 6 plates came to a whopping $18!! ps - the waitress informed us that "wong" actually means "cuisine" so the name of the restaurant is actually "Chinese Cuisine."

I was very excited when I heard that there was a Chinatown in Orlando. However I was very skeptical once I got to this location. It was really empty and most of the shops had closed down. Desperate for Chinese food, I still gave it a try though. This place is called Chinese Cuisine on the storefront. Good thing the other reviewers posted pictures because the address matched up but not the name. I was pleasantly surprised with the place (maybe because I haven't had good Chinese food in awhile so my review is biased). I'd definitely say to stick with the dim sum. The hakgow was a good flavor and not too salty although the skin was mushier than normal. The turnip cake was really yummy. That was my favorite. Then, we also tried the eggplant in garlic which wasn't bad. And, we tried the seafood mix hot pot. This wasn't a big portion, but I really enjoyed it. I'd go again but just to try all the dim sum items. 4 for dim sum, 3 for the other food. Rounded up for good measure.

Came here for lunch today because we were next door getting a haircut. Funny enough we have never tried this place and saw on yelp that it had good reviews so we decided to try it. The service is fine, but the food is so-so. Ex: xia jiao skin was soggy almost like it was frozen food steamed up and not homemade fresh. Similar with xia cheung fun. The food isn't bad, but not great. Miami has better dim sum than this place for cheaper and a cleaner and nicer restaurant without a baby and mom running around the back of the restaurant. Im usually fine with a dingy dirty restaurant with owners having kids and babies around the restaurant in china.....but this is the US, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I think I would prefer Lams or mings to here. Overall, its an okay dim sum place, but not amazing.
(3)Chuan W.
Food is okay, service is awful, showed no respect to customers and blatantly ask for extra tips.

I would definitely say this place is a hidden gem. It's in the middle of Orlando's Chinatown. Originally went to the Ramen restaurant next door but it was too full so a couple friends and I decided to check this place out. It's huge on the inside and has round tables for groups. The service was fast and friendly. This is authentic Chinese food, even the menu is written in Mandarin. Support this small business since it looks like it runs on the locals. The food is great! I recommend checking this spot with groups of 5 or more to enjoy the traditional round table seating.

I went there for the first time with my family on a weekday. The place is not clean. The table is sticky.... There are not many people, but the service is slow. We have 2 adults and 2 kids and they totally ignore the kids, no water, no plate for them.....the food is just average. I grown up in Hong Kong and i am used to really tasty dim sum there. You can tell the chef doesn't really know how to make the canton style dim sum. The congee is good. I will go back for the good price tho, we order 7 dim sum dishes and a congee. That costs us 28 dollars. It is not bad compared to other dim sum restaurant!!
(2)Betty C.
This place has slowly gone downhill with the greater number of people who have been checking it out. The food quality feels cheaper and more rushed while the service has slowed way down. Also, cleanliness is a little sketchy. Might stop back if I'm desperate for cheap takeout dim sum, but definitely taking a break from this spot.

Having eaten dim sum for 35 years in Boston New York and SF. I am fairly well versed in good and bad dim sum. This was fantastic. Everything was fresh and bright. Each dough was unique and the fillings outstanding. (Try the steamed dumiing Chou Zhou style) and this is only one of two places in Orlando that makes scallion pancake. We have been long time fans of Mings. But I think this place surpasses it for fresh flavors

The restaurant has a very unassuming storefront in the heart of the Chinatown Plaza on W. Colonial Drive (located next to the famous 1st Oriental Supermarket) since there is hardly any signage or posted advertisement of the business. However, once you step inside the place, it is a complete opposite of what it looked like from the outside. The interior decor has a freshening appeal with colored lighting spanning high amongst the walls and ceiling, the tables are covered with table cloths, and there is a large TV above the kitchen entrance showing various Chinese shows and movies. Enough of all the real estate showing... let's talk about the real deal which is of course the food.. The food served here is authentic Cantonese Chinese which is rightfully so since the main cook is originally from Hong Kong. As such, you will come across a wide selection of foods you won't find at most other Chinese eateries. For example, my family and I ordered West Lake Beef soup (advertised in the menu for two people priced at $7.95 but it was enough for us three), crispy fried pork intestine appetizer, pepper salted pork ribs, white radish with beef belly clay pot dish, mixed seafood clay pot dish and Shanghai bok choy. All of these dishes were very well prepared and cooked with plenty of texture with hardly any hint of MSG. We were also pleased with the bill which came out to just a touch above $60. Average price of their ala carte foods range between $10 and $13. This place also serves dim sum from 10AM to 3:30PM, seven days a week. Like most other dim sum places, you check mark the items you want from the ticket, and they cook and bring the foods to you from the kitchen. We ordered the following items: har gow (steamed shrimp dumpling), chicken feet, steamed rice shrimp roll, Hong Kong style fried donut roll, deep fried taro dumpling and steamed pork ribs. They were all done up nice as expected with exceptional quality, and you get spicy chili sauce on the table to go with your foods, as well as complimentary Chinese tea and water. All in all, our bill came out to a cool $25 plus tip (which is a knockout compared to other reputable dim sum joints like Ming Bistro and Chan's Cuisine). As a final note, the service was great as the wait staff was particularly attentive, delivered the foods on time and spoke excellent English (and Chinese of course). If you are looking for a fresh new spot to experience real and authentic Chinese cuisine in Orlando, come and check out Mr. Wong's Chinese restaurant in the Chinatown Plaza. You won't regret it!

Char siu hell yeah! This is a Chinese restaurant for those wishing to partake in the non-standard Americanized style of Chinese food, and it is delicious. I would say that if you are't totally familiar with a dish, definitely ask the very friendly staff members about it. We ordered pork ribs marinated in wine, and let's just say what we received did not match what we had in mind...it wasn't bad but if we'd known the dish was going to be like it was we would have ordered something else. I highly recommend the delicious Hong Kong BBQ- that's probably what I'd stick to next time, but stir fried noodles and beef noodle soup were both tasty as well. Prices are also very reasonable.
(4)Nir E.
Food is just not yummy, atmosphere at it's best is dull. I paid way too much for what I received.

This place was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We were in Orlando for the weekend and because my mum wanted to visit Chinatown, this place was the one of the few options for lunch that we had. I was optimistic about finding vegan options at a chinese restaurant since usually vegetarian dishes are vegan (as long as there's no egg, fish sauce etc.). However, the waitress who took our order was extremely impatient when I asked about what dishes had meat in them and what didn't. She gave me weird glares like she was judging me for not eating meat and when she found out I didn't eat eggs or dairy either she was even more judgmental. She was like don't expect to get anything without meat here as though I shouldn't even have considered finding anything vegan to eat at a chinese restaurant. She even asked me why the heck I eat this way and before she left she had the guts to ask me where I get my protein from and how I can even be healthy... I ended up ordering Singaporean stir fry noodles without meat or eggs, turnip cake, and some chang fen (rice noodle roll) without anything in it. I made sure with the waitress that everything was vegan however I took a bite of the turnip cake without paying attention and realized there were pieces of pork in it. I spit it out immediately, praying that I didn't swallow any meat. I had to cancel that order and the waitress even looked angry about it...it was her fault to assure me it didn't have meat in it. The chang fen was alright but the Singaporean noodles was EXTREMELY salty. I barely touched the noodles and just ate the veggies in it. When it was time to pay they forgot to cancel the order of turnip cake so they had to run the check again. The service was just appalling and the food was definitely not worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Very fresh seafood, dim sum awesome! I came from MA, it is much better than any others in MA!
(5)J. A.
If you are looking for super cheap dim sum this might be your place. Service is good. Food is okay. The tables are a little sticky and it looks like a family Chinese restaurant. Just don't expect much and you will not be let down. I give the food three stars and atmosphere one star. If you want atmosphere go to Ming Court. If you want cheap come here. Just don't forget to lock your car. It's not the best area.
