McCoy's is located on the 4th floor of the Hyatt hotel at the airport. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable without being too fancy. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. We were disappointed on the lunch menus. They have a few good items but nothing that pops. The most interesting things we saw was the appetizers so we ordered a trio of them: pot stickers, buffalo drumettes and the Vietnamese spring rolls. All of them were great but the pot stickers were amazing. For a main course, we ordered chicken soup and a Cuban sandwich. The soup lacked flavor and seasoning so I used some of the pot sticker sauce and sriracha and that improved it a lot. My husband said his sandwich was nothing to brag about. But that's not why I gave this 2 stars. Our waiter was dismissive, uninterested, and after I asked for a spoon he dumped it on the table. Result? No tip. If the waiter had been nice, I would've given this 3 stars. Conclusion: unless you don't know the area or are super hungry and on a tight schedule, I'd suggest trying something else.

This is our go-to place whenever we're flying in and out of MCO. My favorite is the salmon salad. My wife loves the sampler, which allows you to select three small plates such as hummus, chicken wings or quesadilla. They're server on a tower that is kind of fun. It would also make a good shareable appetizer for a party of three or four. The recently remodeled and added a sushi bar, but I've never been to the restaurant when it was actually open, which is a shame. I wish they would extend the hours beyond dinner time. Service is fast and efficient, so it's possible to have a pleasant meal and still make it to your gate without a rush.

Excellent food! A refuge from the chaos of the airport terminal below. McCoy's has local beef and organic selections on their menu. Delicious!

McCoy's is a non-fast-food option for dining in the Orlando International Airport. It's located inside the Hyatt within the airport, not too far from the lobby. We had plenty of time leading up to our flight the other day so we stopped here for some lunch. The restaurant was fairly quiet during our visit. I really enjoyed the decor, and liked the yellow/green/brown color scheme throughout the space. Our server was very friendly, efficient, and professional. The food was overall very good. I ordered the Cobb Salad. They didn't put the dressing in the bottom of the bowl (where our server said it would be so we could toss the salad together) but he quickly brought me a side of dressing when I let him know it was missing. I enjoyed the salad once it was dressed :) My sister loves the Waldorf salad, and has ordered it here on a previous visit. Another dining companion tried the pick three appetizers option, which is a bit pricey but offers great variety. She enjoyed her choices overall. My nephew had the turkey burger without a bun. The patty looked like it had lots of stuff in it, as in it was not a straight turkey burger. I'm not sure what was mixed into the meat, maybe veggies, but he didn't seem to like it because it wasn't the standard burger patty he was expecting. I didn't try it myself though so I can't really comment. We had a nice lunch prior to our flight. The service was quick and efficient and we were in and out in about 45 minutes or so, which isn't bad for a sit down meal.

An absolute gem! A fantastic restaurant and the best airport hotel restaurant I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. The service is great, the food was impeccably prepared. I know it's at an airport but believe me the sushi is to die for! Spicy edamame app was great and the salmon was perfectly prepared. This is my new place in MCO to grab a bite before a flight.

I had three hours to chill out at the Orlando airport and rather than sit in the SkyClub, I headed over to McCoy's and had a "full" bowl of their excellent crawfish chowder. After getting a lot of guilt from folks about the shortage of crab, I felt no guilt knowing that there are loads and loads of crawfish and this big bowl that was chock full did nothing to deplete the huge stock of these tasty shellfish treats. Maybe a little too much black pepper but otherwise very creamy and very tasty. The table where I sat had two very easily accessible power outlets, as did several other tables in the area. Free wifi - not sure if it was the hotel or the airport - worked well. And after the soup (and a tasty adult beverage) were gone, my waitress didn't mind me sitting there for another hour. Got time on your hands? Hit McCoys. Take the escalator up one left, hang a right. There it is. You'll thank me later. Tidbit: McCoy's (and MCO) are named after the predecessor for Orlando airport, McCoy Air Force Base.

McCoy's is located inside of the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. I stopped in at McCoy's for lunch after checking in to my room at the Hyatt Regency. I sat at the bar - after looking the menu over, and the bartender gave me some info on his recommendations, I opted to try their Crawfish Chowder. It comes in two sizes - a cup and a bowl. I decided to try the cup first as some times I find that Chowders can be very filling. I'm glad I only opted for the cup. It was absolutely delicious! It had a nice bit of spiciness to it, and was filling! I asked the bartender for some hot sauce - he brought out Tabasco - which I am not a fan of. I asked about Sriracha sauce - they did have that and he brought some out in a small ramekin. The Chowder did not really need it - but I love adding hot sauce to creamy soups - and so it made it even better! There are a couple of large flat panel HD TVs behind the bar - I watched a bit of analysis of the 2014 NFL Draft while eating. Good place for a meal or a drink! Service was good!

Nice. Good menu, covered all the bases. Good food and drinks. Mike our server was great. Knew the food, answered all our questions. Smooth timely and had it together. Had the McCoy Burger. Really nice. Tried the pizza, nice non-prefab crust amid real cheese and great toppings. If you are staying at the Orlando Airport, give the Hyatt and McCoys a try.

Service here was excellent! The atmosphere is casual and contemporary. Our waitress, Anna, went above and beyond. She was efficient and great with the kids in our party. The miso soup was mediocre, but the sushi was good.

We are stuck in Orlando after a magical trip to Disney and I'm sick with a cold and our flight is mega delayed. We're cranky. And then my husband finds this place.... dinner is our only hope. Game changer! Chicken noodle soup better than a jewish grandmother could ever make. It had egg noodles AND matzo ball inside with this amazing broth that had the best flavor. I also ordered a Ceasar salad that had tons of flavor and the server offered to make me a half sized portion when i said I wasn't feeling the whole entree. Hubby got a burger and a beer with great flavor of a jam and carmelized onions. We even got a chocolate ganache cake for dessert because when you are sick and stuck at the airport...why wouldn't you get dessert?! Great service....highly recommend the chicken soup. Huge portion too. It was absolutely delish :)

3 stars because my boss picked up the bill. The place is good enough if you are staying in the Hyatt and do not want to go out...or stuck in the airport waiting for a flight. Overpriced for what you get. The service is very good. A little too much for the quality of the food. The sushi menu is limited to rolls...with explanations like "seaweed on the outside." The crawfish chowder had a delicious flavor. However, it was not a chowder and the crawfish were over cooked. The salads were good but nothing spectacular.

As McCoy's was right inside the hotel I was staying, I thought I would check it out before going outside the hotel to the airport terminal to look for some food. I asked the staff at the entrance to show me the menu and when I saw it, the first thing came into my eyes was "SUSHI"! then I saw "Hiro's Omakase Bento Box". I was thinking of Chick-fil-A or Panda Express dinner but I got attracted to the sushi bar inside this American restaurant. There was a true Japanese sushi chef at the sushi bar and we chatted a little bit in Japanese. He was a very nice man. I ordered a glass of California Pinot Noir and the Omakase Beto Box. The wine was very good. The bento box had appetizer salad, agedashi tofu, 3 pieces of tuna sashimi, veggie rolls and miso soup. ($28) It was tasty and well balanced nutrition wise, but the value wise, I thought $28 was a little too high. But because this is inside a Hyatt Regency and not an individual restaurant, a lot of costs are added to the price, which I understand. The selection of the fish for sushi here is rather limited. They had tuna, salmon, yellow tail, octopus, and maybe one or two more only. You can order sushi and various kinds of rolls not only inside the restaurant but at the lobby lounge right outside the restaurant as well. Anyway, it is very conveniently located when you are in the mood for sushi at Orlando Airport. I will definite go back.

Great stop at MCO if you have time before your flight. Request a booth and charge your devices while eating great food and enjoying well crafted cocktails in a sophisticated setting. Crawfish chowder is as good as they say. Try it! A little pricey, but worth it to get away from the masses and enjoy some calm. Great friendly service too!

  • Toni W.

First time here and I must agree with everyone else... The crawfish chowder is very good and filling. My husband had the calamari and it was extremely well cooked it just melted in your mouth. We followed our starters with the NY Strip and the fish and chips both were delicious. The reason for the four stars and not five was due to the tight table we were seated at. Not very large person friendly. Other than that a very pleasant meal.

Delicious. Very fresh steak, chicken-- accompanied by beets and broccolini. Cheddar brioche was subtle but equally yummy. Prompt friendly service. Great way to relax before a long flight.

Not only the best Cuban sandwich ever, but possibly the BEST sandwich ever. Crawfish chowder was amazing too. Go to MCO early and treat yourself.

I really enjoy coming here when I am staying at the Orlando Airport Hyatt. The service is always extremely friendly, professional, and efficient. They have a wide variety of food from Cubano sandwiches, Arugula salads, pizza, steak, and really good sushi. I have sampled a lot on their menu including the sushi and have found it all to be good. Whether sitting at the bar or at a table I have received top notch service. If you are staying in the hotel or if you are just passing through I would recommend this place. The management at this hotel really knows what it is doing. I will stay here again and eat here again. Keep up the good work!

What we thought was a quick, simple dinner. The atmosphere while busy is low-lit and comfortable, albeit freezing. Our waitress was very pleasant and took our drink orders promptly. The menu at first blush is pretty interesting. A varying menu gives the diner a lot of "create-your-own" options. One can choose the "Trio" of small plates, 3 for about $18. You can also do the mix-n-match with a protein/preparation/side entree. Interesting to include not only tofu but egg for a dinner protein option. There is also sashimi and sushi - half a dozen promising options to choose from. Inside-out style (rice on the outside). Unfortunately from the time we ordered until we got our food, 45min plus. The waitress told us at one point the kitchen was behind. Many minutes later she even noticed everyone but our table had food. She finally returns with our food....and the Mgr apologizing for the delay. The Mgr offered dessert but we countered with them taking care of one extra glass of wine. Dad had the Kale and Vegetable Pot Stickers which were very nice. The sauce that accompanied was a little spicy and ginger/cilantro filled. It was so well flavored it overwhelmed the kale/pork filling a bit. Followed by the blacked grouper on special with beets and Yukon potatoes. The fish was decent and the sides well done. I went with the "Trio" with Carrot Sriracha Hummus, Firecracker Shrimp, and Spring Rolls. Like another reviewer, found the carrot hummus pretty bland, not a match with gluten-free tortilla chips. Not much Sriracha. The Firecracker Shrimp was more like "light mayo shrimp". The Spring Rolls however were quite tasty. Crispy outside with a nice vinegar based dipping sauce. The "Trio" is served in a goofy tower like you get at a high-tea, one plate per level. Incredibly awkward at a three-top table. We put the tower on the floor and plates on the table. My dads wife had the "International" sushi roll with lobster salad and tuna which she said was quite good. The presentation was well done. Net-net: Stick with the more Asian inspired items on the menu, find an alternate option if you're in a hurry to catch a flight, and bring a shawl. I wanted to give three stars but the super-long delay for varyingly successful dishes shot that down.

I fly in and out of orlando about 25 times a year and I nearly always end every trip with dinner at McCoys. Sometimes I even take a slightly later flight to allow time to relax and have a reliably delicious meal rather than get on a plane with unhealthy fast food or no food at all. I have gotten the choose-3 sampler that is referenced many times by other reviewers and they are very good. But now I opt for the "Create Your Own Meal" on the back of the menu. This way I can get really healthy choices like grilled fish, brown rice and steamed veggies. It is always just right portioned and delicious. I recently flew through Orlando with several Australians. Took them to McCoys on the way home and two of them ordered fish and chips at McCoys. Oh no - airport fish and chips was surely going to disappoint. But McCoys came through and everyone loved his fish and chips! I will say that the servers in this restaurant are never the same twice and I have been there on back to back weeks. Sometimes they are slow and oblivious to the fact that one has a plane to catch, so be sure to tell your server your schedule. Also, many of the tables have electrical outlets for charging your devices while you eat and I really appreciate that.

Nice place to get away from the crowded airport. It had the feeling of the Hyatt instead of a airport restaurant. With a busy airport, this was much appreciated. Service at the bar was friendly. In addition, the crawfish bisque was very tasty. I would definitely come back if I was at the Orlando airport again. I would like to clarify this is a 4 star airport restaurant. I do would give it a 3.5 out of the airport. With the caliber of airport food being what it can be, this was a great meal pre-flight!

Try the tapas! Pork carnitas are especially good! Good beer on draft. Nice chilled vibe after the craziness of the airport. Just heard Weezer. All is good...can tolerate flight delay

We were really surprised what a great find this place is! We sat at the bar and were well taken care of by Bob. Drinks were excellent, crawfish chowder was the bomb and a new personal favorite. Also check out the Asian chili chicken tenders and chicken quesadilla. Prices are slightly steep, but then again it is at the airport. Great spot!

A great McCoy once asked the musical question, "What is love?" Unfortunately, my answer isn't "How I feel about McCoy's Bar & Grill." That said, you could do a heck of a lot worse for a convenient dinner while staying in the Hyatt. The best dish by far was the crawfish chowder, although I learned the hard way that a cup is plenty with a soup this rich. My shrimp pasta was tasty, but visually unappealing--a lot of visible grease coated the noodles. The chicken Caesar salad flatbread was a total bust. I was expecting something akin to a pizza, but instead it was a chicken Caesar salad perched on top of a giant cracker. It was too unwieldy to eat like a pizza, but the cracker was too hard to be eaten with a fork and knife. The decent wine list was organized by characteristics of the wine rather than in a more traditional manner, which was both fun and a bit confusing. They serve the wine in tiny carafes and pour the glass at the table. This once resulted in the waitress mixing up my wine with a coworker's, which she quickly remedied once we alerted her to the mistake. I would not make McCoy's a dining destination, but rest assured you'll eat a reasonable meal if you find yourself here. Unfortunately, McCoy's Bar & Grill is not quite ready to live up to the McCoy name made legendary by luminaries like Jack McCoy, Leonard "Bones" McCoy, and The Real McCoy. But then, neither is Colt McCoy and I guess he's doing ok.

Plenty of reviews on the crawfish chowder. If your not convinced yet, add mine to the list. I won't come thru Orlando again without stopping in for a bowl! Excellent flavor, I've never had anything else quite like it! A MUST HAVE.

Hiro's Sushi is at the far end of the bar inside McCoy's, inside the Hyatt. I've eaten their vegetable rolls via room service before and those were fine. This time, ate at the sushi bar. Service is a bit weird since the bar wasn't set up well to deliver the food over the fish display. They had trouble finding leaded (regular) soy sauce. They have a minimal sake selection (Gekkeikan hot or cold). Then the fish arrived. It was WONDERFUL. High quality hamachi and excellent maguro (tuna). Edamame was servicable. Looking forward to eating here again.

I'm going to follow the cue of another yelper who asks "who has time to review average food" and not say much here other than that this is average food at a hotel that is situated in an airport. If you find yourself with nowhere to go, then you will do fine to find yourself here.

I'm not sure what standard people expect in terms of dining at an airport. I cannot have gluten so I'm constantly stuffing my carry on with food due to the abundance of unhealthy & non-gluten-free options that are typical of most airports. Fortunately almonds, brown rice cakes, & a Think Thin Bar can hold off some of my hunger for a about the length of time for a flight plus getting my luggage before I'm feeling famished. I discovered McCoy's from the directory as I was waiting for a friend's flight to arrive. I didn't know what to expect or how I could possibly be accommodated but Sous Chef Joseph was very knowledgeable about gluten and he prepared an excellent gluten free meal for me. Our meal was served within a normal time frame and the presentation of the food was terrific. Thank you again, Joseph! It was delicious! Our server Veronica provided great customer service. She checked on us many times to see if our food was prepared properly, if there was anything else we needed, and our glasses were always filled. Thank you, Veronica! My memory isn't serving me correct, but Sous Chef Joseph may have checked us as well. I was in the middle of catching up with my friend and thoroughly enjoying my food to recall that detail. It wasn't till the end of my meal where I started to write down a few highlights for this review. I frequent the Orlando airport quite a few times a year. I'm comforted in knowing that after getting my luggage, a great place for me to eat at is just upstairs.

Went here for lunch. My server Harry recommended the Cuban sandwich. It came with plantain chips and I must say...it was delicious! Perfect toast on the bread, the pork was seasoned perfectly and the plantain chips and pork au jus for dipping made it even better. Wasn't looking for anything special but I got it here! Not bad for hotel/airport, huh?

The food here was good for a hotel in an airport. I would have given 4 stars but the service wasn't very good and of course it is expensive in a hotel in an airport. We were going to have another drink but our server brought us the check instead. Once again the food was really tasty.

My husband and I discovered McCoy's after landing close to 10pm from a flight from Las Vegas. Everything else in the airport was closed and McCoy's is, thankfully, open until midnight. We learned quickly that they have a varied menu, but a particularly nice sushi menu. The manager apparently has great contacts with local fish purveyors and gets some of the freshest around. We were not disappointed with our rolls and sashimi. Our waiter was young, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. We'll be back, and will be mentioning this restaurant to our neighbors in the Lake Nona neighborhood as we are starved for some mid-to upscale dining options in the area!

McCoy's restaurant, located at Orlando International Airport inside a hotel is inviting, but the food and service leave a lot to be desired. I have rarely visited a restaurant where everything from the appetizer to dessert tasted old, made a few days ago, cold and unappetizing. The assistant manager came to the table and explained in detail why everything tastes bad or why it was not fresh or made so many hours ago. He agreed that he would not eat the items I ordered and that some are about to be taken off the menu, but need a push from complaining customers. Wow! Do you really need to wait that long when you know something tastes bad and noone raves about it??? Seriously, get a grip on your business. I am convinced one more time that a higher priced menu has nothing to do with taste or quality of the food. Never again. I advise you save yourself the trip.

If you ever have a long layover at this airport, do yourself a favor & eat here. It'll cost a little bit more than the restaurants on the airport level, but it's nice, quiet & you get real food with quality ingredients! I choose the 3 starters combo, which came on cute tiered display. My husband got the bento box. I was pretty jealous once I saw it. I tried everything of his & ate my starters, everything was great! His came with a miso soup, so we added one for me & it was a delicious miso! Their homemade bread was delicious too. Since we had a long layover, we had plenty of time for a few cocktails too. So glad we drank up there. I had some awesome cocktails with fresh fruits & a lot of booze in them, the hubby had a delicious Cabernet. Couldn't have found anything that compared on the airport level! We didn't get a burger, but the kitchen was sending them out like crazy & they looked delicious!

Heyyyyyy macarana! You stink.... My waitress was macarana and boy...was she unpleasent. She was awful. This place is so pretty and nice inside you would think their servers are semi nice. At least one isnt. And it's this devil of a lady you suck mam. So if you find time to eat and wanna spend it here and you see this lovely lady....just grab the next ticket and fly out of orlando. Save yourself. .... Anywhoo! Besides the crap service the food was good! We ordered the Cuban sandwich which I believe came with turkey ham and roast beef...some sauce. Pickles on a yummy crunchy chibatta..mmmm it was delicious. A good send off back to California. 8.5/10 We also ordered the spicy shrimp. Wanted to get something healthy ish. It was okay. It was tiny pieces of shrimp with one or two of them having a hint of spice. Just regular tiny cold shrimp nothing special. 5/10 The place did look great especially for being in an aiport. Impressed. Not impressed with my service. You suck lady. Go away.

I don't say this lightly...this was hands down the best airport food experience, and one of the top 5 best lunch experiences of my life. The service was second to none (ask for Keith), he was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was perfectly prepared, with fresh flavors and excellent presentation. I had and recommend the MCO Traveler's Trio, I had the Thai Chicken tenders, the spring rolls and the avocado chicken salad. Superb. The atmosphere was great, you feel like you are in the Admiral's Club.

What a fantastic find! I will never dread waiting on a flight in Orlando again! The service from Anna made the experience complete. Fantastic food + service gets 5 stars. I did a cup of crawfish chowder, which was every bit as good as everyone said. They have a trio option on starters and I picked 3. Every one of them was fantastic. And now I'm stuffed. I've got to think that every single thing on the menu is great. Next time, sushi. Or a burger.

It's in an airport in a hotel, so you obviously can't expect the world with two strikes already going against it. But with that said, it managed to hit the spot. Certainly a very hit and miss experience but our waiter was very honest and very good. Steering us toward the better things on the menu. But even within those, there were a few misses as well. The best of lot would be the red blend by the glass, Chateau St. Jean. And the Thai chicken wings. After that, the fish bites were okay. As were the stuffed jalapenos. The only flat out miss was the hummus, served with the same chips you'd find at Whole Foods. The octagonal ones with the flax seeds. But net, net, it's a solid stop before a flight to grab a drink and a quick bite.

It's worth arriving early to the airport to eat dinner after a long business trip. McCoy's has become my go-to place before heading home to relax in elegant surroundings with friendly service. My go-to indulgence after not being able to eat because of schedule is the McCoy's Burger with caramelized onions, bleu cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. (I order without mayo.) The burger was good but ordered medium and received a burger without a trace of pink. So, minus one star. Ate by myself at a table next to and facing the window. Thee view was of one of the runways... arrivals at that time of day. Pleasant. Try the hefeweizen too!

By far the best place to snag a drink and a snack at MCO. It's not limited to bar food; there's a good entré selection and a very good sushi bar. The sushi bar opens at 4:00. Follow the signs to the Hyatt, go up the escalator then to the right of the lobby.

Just came back from a short Orlando trip and the only 5-star experience we had was lunch here. Finding ourselves at the airport a little earlier than we needed to be, we had time to not just settle for lunch somewhere, but to actually enjoy it. And boy did we enjoy our lunch at McCoys! On the way in, a couple Hyatt staffers let us know we were heading to a great place for lunch. They recommended the burgers, cuban and the crawfish chowder. Despite a menu that was tempting us in all kinds of directions, we went with all three of those suggestions, and were thrilled with those choices. Chowder was exquisite! Slightly spicy, creamy, with chunks of tender crawfish, and a lovely sherry taste, topped with a homemade "cracker", that was almost piecrust-like. This was amazing, and for just five bucks for a cup...incredible! Husband went with the Cuban and I went with the Meyers Natural Angus Burger. Both of us were happy that we were allowed to substitute the fried side dishes for salads. Score! Husband's response was that "this is a chef that CARES" (seriously, he said that, and he's not a guy that normally says something like that). He also said it was the best Cuban he's ever had...from the bread to the homemade mojo dipping sauce...he was in awe. I was equally mesmerized by my burger. It came with two adorable little glass jars...one had the red onion jam that MADE this burger, and the other held a rich horseradish sauce that also added to the charm of this burger. Perfectly cooked medium as requested, with a bakery-fresh bun and delicious white cheddar, topped with the most perfect tomato slices ever, and slices of crisp lettuce...I'm telling you, this is cheeseburger in paradise for SURE. Just guessing that they are used to having to tailor to such a variety of tastes, so they deliver all the special touches from dressings to toppings on the side, so you can make it your own. As if the food isn't incredible enough, we also had awesome service...and I kid you not, the prices were beyond reasonable! Both of our sandwiches were under $12! So, Fellow Travelers...may I suggest, if you have the time to take a few extra minutes...get away from the masses and find this quiet, tasty, safe-haven at MCO!

Sushi and hot saki were a great way to unwind before our flight. Very yummy Rainbow roll and pizza for our kids. Waiter a bit of a salesman, especially when pushing soft drinks for our kids. I hate it when they do that (doesn't work on us, kids had water). Dessert menu was terrible!

We flew into Orlando a day early before our cruise and stayed at the Hyatt in the airport. We actually loved it. The hotel is great. We booked what they called the Bed and Breakfast package and got a really nice breakfast buffet the next morning included at McCoy's Bar and Grill. Adult breakfast included but it would have been great if the kids were free. We had a nice dinner at McCoys Restaurant located right in the Hyatt airport hotel. Very convenient and the best choice compared to the other options in the airport. We actually looked around and this is by far the best choice. Service was great. Both for dinner and breakfast. Great staff in the restaurant. The best dish on the dinner menu was the crawfish chowder. Pizza was wet and floppy. My shrimp pasta was ok. After dinner we walked into the airport and got dessert in the food court. I'd definitely eat here again if we stay at this hotel.

After a very long day at Universal, our Hotwire hotel ended up being at the airport. Given our lack of desire to make any choices, we ate here because it was the least amount of steps possible from our hotel room. Odd rationale, great decision. Hungry as we were, we had the app trio to start - Hummus, Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Bruschetta. I recommend all of them. Cue a few glasses of Malbec and a few pints of Yuengling... For dinner we had the pulled chicken wrap and the mussels. The mussels were definitely in my top 5, so I suggest you order that - maybe two, as the quantity of mussels wasn't very great, but the fact that every single shell was filled with a monster definitely shows that they care. The wrap was...well it was fine. BUT the watermelon / arugula salad that came on the side - eighteen thousand stars - I would have been better off getting the side as a meal with some chicken or fish on top. To end the day - key lime pie, which was awesome. I think they source it from some local bakery, and that was an excellent decision on their part because it was enormous, creamy, tart, and just the right amount of limey. Service was decent - our waiter was a little spacey at times but after a long day theme parking, I think we were pretty spacey too.

Started off happy because the servers are friendly and menu looked so good--plenty of fresh looking options, plus a sushi bar. Then it slid downhill. Service time is subpar. The restaurant is only Half full - why are you guys so slow? Execution on dishes was messy. This was rather sad, cause the actual menu items and descriptions were so good... But when you got the food it was different story. My bruschetta had cold bread and the fattest slices of frozen mozzarella imaginable. The salad just looked slapped together--no time to properly slice tomatoes, or crumble the feta. My guess is every thing is hastily prepared night before and then thrown in the fridge. Our trio of appetizers also had the same lackluster preparation. This place has potential, but can do much better. But they DO get a bonus point for stiff drinks!

I searched for "Hiro's sushi bar" and this restaurant came up. I'm not sure if it's the same place because I ordered room service from the Hyatt hotel. Anyways, the sushi is AMAZING and super fresh. I am always excited to stay here so I can order a rainbow roll and the crawfish chowder. I have tried so many rainbow rolls and the one here is by far my favorite rainbow roll! SO GOOD!!

Our waiter was Michael and service was unacceptably slow at first. The place was around 60% full. He took 15 minutes to finally greet our table. We ordered drinks which came out fairly fast then ordered dinner. The crawfish chowder was excellent. What a nice somewhat spicy surprise! After eating the chowder we waited 15 minutes then Michael finally took away our empty chowder bowls. My 9 yr old daughter did order a "pick and dip" salad which still did not come (nor did the salad come early for the create your own dinner option). 5 more minutes passed and we finally got our entrees including my daughter's pick and dip salad which she no longer wanted since our entrees were here. We had to wait another five minutes to get steak knives to eat our entree!!! My daughter ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce that looked like Chef Boy R Dee from a can but watered down as there was no flavor and the aforementioned canned product would have tasted better. She ended up eating the pick and dip salad over the entree. The pork chop tasted great but a little too well done. The fettucini with scampi tasted good as well. We all passed on dessert. The manager did credit our bill $26 and wrote $0 for the tip for us for the late salads. We did not mention the spaghetti but did complain about the long wait times.

Eggplant veggie sandwich was very tasty. For dessert you can't leave without trying the exquisite chocolate molten lava cake. Also service was excellent!

The best restaurant inside the Orlando International Airport. The competition isn't that fierce, but you have to give credit where it is due. McCoy's offers a wide variety of dishes from a full sushi bar to a fusion Hawaiian style hamburger topped with fried egg. They have televisions at the bar if you want to catch the game and the seating in the dining area is nice and perfect if you want to have a private conversation. When I am with a group this is the first restaurant I recommend if we need to eat in the airport.

Hands down the best food in the airport is tucked away at this gem of a hotel bar.

I had the salmon filet dinner which wasn't bad. The serving was a bit small and overpriced, but considering the types of restaurants available within the airport, this wasn't bad. If I had other options I would definitely go there instead. The service on the other hand was very good.

The Angus burger was great, I thought it was a little pricey at $11.25 until I saw the bill. My Bloody Mary was $12, so I guess $11.25 is a steal. The real gem here was the service. James at the bar was very personable without trying to have way too much conversation with me.

I was actually quite impressed with the menu. Clearly, thought has gone into the provenance and sustainability of ingredients. For example, they offer steaks from 'humanely raised' cows from sustainable farms, as well as salmon that's "free from antibiotics, hormones, synthetic colorants or growth promoters". Throw in a couple of "local wild caught" shrimps and "local vegetables" and I'm impressed. Portions were fine, including the Traveler's Trio: delicious shrimp cocktail, delicate pot stickers and two interesting pork filled handmade spring rolls. I think that would even be a good lunch. My main course ('Harris Ranch filet') wasn't cooked properly the first time around (I ordered it medium rare, and it arrived medium), but the second time it was delicious and perfect. Unfortunately, my waitress was more the type that would do a fantastic job serving breakfast at a roadside diner - a little bit brusque. I had expected a little bit more friendliness, but otherwise I would definitely eat here again if I'm in Orlando airport.

I suddenly found myself stuck at the Orlando airport with a $15 meal credit courtesy of United Airlines. I put this credit towards a fabulous meal and a few drinks. You can sit at the bar and order from the restaurant menu or the sushi menu, I chose the latter and was not dissappointed. I had the edamame, salmon and yellowtail nigiri, and the international roll (lobster, seared tuna, roe, and special sauces, yum!). The sushi was soooo good and fresh. It was pricey but what isn't at the airport? I found McCoys to be a nice relaxing laid back atmosphere where I was able to have a few beers (and sushi!) and watch the game. Service was excellent at the bar.

Our flight was cancelled so we were forced to spend a night at the Hyatt connected to the airport. We came to McCoy's for dinner after a long, long day of stressful travel. The service was wonderful - our waitress was very patient with our questions about the menu options. We split the calamari (very fresh) and I had the Dancing Dragon sushi rolls. The sushi was incredible (also very fresh). Also, incredible cheesy buttery bread. This definitely saved our day from being a disaster!

Seated quickly for lunch. Had the Loch Duarte Salmon Salad. Could not stop eating it. It was the perfect amount of food and delicious. Deffinitely worth going through security again on my layover.

2.5 stars for McCoy's Bar & Grill. What do you think of when someone says the words "Bar & Grill"? I tend to think of a sports bar. Some tv's playing some games, a nice casual feel and a fair selection of cheap to moderately priced - slightly less than healthy food. My sister had a long layover in Orlando last night and asked us to come up and meet her for dinner. Wanting something more than what we could get from the food court, our selections were pretty limited - but we found McCoy's which is located upstairs in the Hyatt. Being so tucked away, there were very few people there. In fact, we stood around at the entrance for a good minute or so before someone noticed we were waiting to be seated. We've been to a lot of hotels and hotel restaurants over the years - including ones calling themselves "blah-blah bar and grill". This one felt like one of the slightly "fancier" (and I hesitate to use that word) restaurants versus a bar and grill. But decor aside, it would be the food and menu that really define what this restaurant is. It's an interesting mix. You can choose to order from a sushi menu or from the standard menu. The sushi menu looked alright - nothing really caught our attention, but we really weren't in the mood for sushi. The standard menu looked and sounded vaguely interesting - offering a little bit of something for everyone. Angus or kobe burgers, pasta, seafood, grilled eggplant sandwiches, salads - you were pretty well covered. I ordered the shrimp linguini, while my sister ordered the crab cakes and my wife decided to get the travelers combo (or something like that) - a combination of 3 appetizers. She chose some potatoes, a shrimp cocktail and a grilled cheese. While we waited, we ate the free bread and butter. At least, we ate the bready part of it. This was the definition of a crusty bread. It looked and felt more like a biscotti than a piece of bread. The food came out pretty quickly - a particularly good thing in an airport. Starved, we dove in. My shrimp linguini was decent, but unremarkable. It was surprisingly less greasy/oily than I expected it to be. It was pretty flavorless though. My sister enjoyed her crab cakes and asked for a bit more of the dipping sauce. The waiter asked if she meant the jalapeno remoulade. She was unsure - the dipping sauce she had been eating was not spicy at all - and she doesn't like spicy things - surely a jalepeno remoulade would spicy, right? He brought some more out, and it was the same sauce she had been eating. Everyone has probably ordered a giant appetizer plate at some restaurant for dinner at one time or another. Get them at some place like Perkins or Friendly's or Friday's, and you'll get a big plate full of food that is more than enough food for a few people as a meal. That's what my wife was expecting here. That's not what she got. Instead, there were three tiny little plates - the size of tea or coffee plates. The shrimp cocktail came in a glass barely bigger than a shot glass. The potatoes looked like they were deep fried potato skins, not a plate of roasted potatoes. The grilled cheese looked like toast meant for bruschetta. And when she was all done with it, my wife was nowhere near full. We asked for the dessert menu and the waiter brought around a big cart with a display. I figured it was a fake setup like Texas de Brazil has, but the waiter made a comment when he showed us the chocolate covered strawberries that sounded like, "we have three left" as he pointed to the three in the display. All in all, this was an unoffensive, but ultimately disappointing experience. The service was acceptable, but the waiter seemed a little "out of it" when he was talking to us. For the price, however, this was not a good deal. The prices were bordering theme park prices and unfortunately, so was the quality.

We came here because we had a few hours in the airport while waiting for fellow travelers. The travelers plates, where you pick 3 small plates for 16.95, was a great deal. Granted I live 1000 miles from any body of water worthy of mention, but I think the cocktail shrimp was by far the best I have ever had. The plantain chicken sandwich was as unique as it was tasty, and my wife loved the calamari. I loved how they were conscious about the origin of their seafood and made it a point to explain that to the consumer. The only discontentment I experienced with the place was the alcohol prices. The bottles of wine are more expensive than the total sum of the glasses drank individually, and the beer selection is trite. Oh, and a 12 dollar bloody Mary? No thanks.

I had to attend a day-long conference at the Hyatt Regency located at the Orlando airport. After four hours in a windowless room listening to a rather tedious lecture, we were given a one hour break for lunch. I wandered with two colleagues down to the airport food court but could not bring myself to eat there so I wandered back to the hotel. After a bit of wandering, I found McCoy's Bar & Grill. McCoy's looks like a hotel restaurant, especially a Florida hotel restaurant. I don't know how to describe that look but it seems that every hotel I visit in this state, the restaurants all look alike. Is that a problem? No. Nevertheless, I do find it curious that every hotel seems to think that visitors to Florida all want to eat meals indoors in rooms that seem to imitate outdoor dining. But I digress. I was pleased to see that the menu at McCoy's was not materially more expensive than the menu at Panda Express in the food court (where my colleagues were to dine). I ordered the grilled eggplant sandwich which, as I recall, was served on a ciabatta roll with fresh arugula, mozzarella (at least I think it was mozzarella), tomato and a rather pleasant pesto-hummus. The sandwich was served with a side of sweet potato fries. All in all, the volume of food was good for the price tag of under $11.00. The sandwich was better than most airport food but not wonderful by any stretch of the imagination. I expected the eggplant to be served warm but it was really quite cool. The ingredients were fresh and I appreciated that but the entire sandwich was difficult to chew through. Not a sandwich to order on a business outing. I was also dismayed that the sandwich was served with a drop of pesto hummus on the exterior of the bread. Presentation counts! The sweet potato chips were attractively presented in a wire vase but were completely lacking in flavor. I also disliked the texture of the sweet potato chips which seemed much more like tortillas than potato chips. The service at McCoy's was excellent and the dining room quiet and comfortable. With McCoy's available, I don't know why anyone would eat in the airport food court ever again!

One of the best places to eat at he airport. This little place is hidden from most of the tourists because it sits adjacent to the lobby of the Hyatt on the 4th floor. The dining room is comfortable, the service decent and the food is pretty good. The prices are a little more but you expect that from being in an airport. At least here you can forget that you are at an airport for a while. All the food I've had has been good but my favorite is the crawfish soup. Absolutely delicious!

Over the years I've had lunch at least a half dozen times at McCoy's, most recently this past week. As soon as I get off the shuttle bus outside, I make a bee line to McCoy's. I've always had their Angus burger with cheese. This time, the burger wasn't as good as in the past, but was still pretty decent. The fries are tasty and I like the texture. The service is somewhat formal, which is surprising considering that the prices aren't all that high for a hotel restaurant. I think they could get by with a more casual style of service. All in all, this is a good choice for lunch if you're at the Orlando airport.

Hiro's Sushi in McCoys at the Hyatt - as the other reviewers note, you will need to look hard for this as it is right at the end of the bar in McCoys. Well worth the trek from the terminal though, as this is really quite good basic sushi and sashimi. Of note was the "Spider Roll" which was packed with soft shell crab tempura and the unagi which was outstanding. Quite a good wine list and selection of draught beers. Easily the best dining choice at the airport
