Friendly staff. Fast service. Great food. As one of my regular lunch places, I never get tired if the delicious summer salad at Java Lava. There is also a great lunch deal where you get a side salad, chips, or soup and a drink with your selections.

Java Lava is exceptional in every way. They have a continental variety and serve breakfast, lunch and an assortment of unique refreshing blends from Fraps and cappuccinos to fruit smoothies. Their delivery is very fast and their service is always so personable and friendly that I am more than happy with waiting however long during lunch rush just to keep my loyalty to this place. They offer some very tasty salads that might be on the higher side of calories but worth every bite. Their Southwest Chicken Salad is a must try and they also offer some great flat bread entrees. They are slightly over fairly priced but considering the location and convenience, its worth every penny. Definitely a must try place.

Sorry, not a fan of this place for breakfast. It came recommended from a friend. Different Strokes for different folks I guess. But I found the breakfast not to be exceptional and even the coffee wasn't that good. My eggs were over cooked and the bacon was limp. Service was also kind of slow. It is bright and clean looking inside though. Maybe lunch is better ?

Java Lava did the catering for my brother's wedding and the food was delicious! My big Italian family is rather picky when it comes to food and not a single person had anything negative to say about their meal. The dinner was set up buffet style and all of the food was hot and looked picture perfect. The two main entrees were a Hawaiian-style chicken and a salmon dish. Both were cooked perfectly and the sides were equally as good. To be completely honest I was a little worried that the quality of the food would be sub-par as I've attended several wedding that oped to serve dinner buffet style and the food ended up being cold and rubbery. With Java Lava that was NOT the case. The meal was awesome and I was told by my brother and sister in law that the restaurant was very easy and enjoyable to work with. While I have never come to their physical establishment to dine, I can absolutely endorse their catering services and I would highly recommend them for anyone having a wedding or event in the Orlando area.

Oh, Java Lava! Your food is so yummy. Your service is hit or miss. Don't get me wrong. Everyone here is really nice (especially the Bea Arthur look-alike that mans the counter) and the food is fresh, tasty and well-prepared. It's just that sometimes... they forget to give it to you (it's happened to me twice now). I still keep going back, though. They do a new special each day and they don't repeat from week to week, so you can find something unexpected any day you go. Their cookies are bigger than your head. I particularly enjoy the Italian Pesto Flatbread (chicken, mozzarella & pesto) and their combos allow you to choose a small salad or chips OR a cookie and drink. No matter what I get it's around $10. They make all their own dressings and sauces in-house which I like and there always seems to be a table no matter when you visit.

I walked to Java Lava for lunch while on break from serving my civic duty, ie. Jury Duty. I got there at 11:45am and the place was pretty empty. The guy taking the orders was jovial and helped me decide between a few items. I ended up settling on the Greek Souvlaki Open Face sandwich ($7.95). You could get either beef or chicken and I was advised the chicken was better so chose that. I made it a lunch combo for $1.50 more and got a drink and chicken dumpling soup. The sandwich was heaped high with fresh vegetables like cucumber, tomato, red onion and was drizzled with Herb Hummus, Feta Cheese & Tzatziki Sauce; delish! It was light yet filling, perfect for lunch. The chicken dumpling soup was wonderful too. It had a smooth, velvety texture and was comfortable and creamy. Ordering was quick. You take a number to your seat and your food is brought out ASAP. There is an open kitchen so you can watch them preparing your food. As soon as noon hit the place filled up. There were a lot of regulars here; always a good sign. Everyone seemed to have a favorite dish and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Stopped in to Java Lava for breakfast and my initial first impression remains validated. This is really a tasty spot. I enjoyed a Caribbean Veggie omelet on fresh Ciabatta bread. Rustic, flavorful and filling. My elder son ordered a meat lovers omelet and proclaimed it outstanding. Java Lava is a bit cavernous and lacking in interior design, but the staff is friendly and the food is top notch, reasonably priced and sustaining.

I work close by and I religiously look at their weekly specials (they are posted online at the beginning of the week!) and have yet to be let down by any of them. I really love their flat breads, their soups and their wraps. The prices are great, they delivery very fast and always very friendly.

I've been to Java Lava a few times for lunch now that I work close. The customer service is great. There are definitely regulars, and I can see why based upon the friendly service. However, I wasn't incredibly impressed with the food.

I'm not a 9-5er, but if I were I'd probably visit this place pretty often for a lunch break. Best kept secret time: Their iced coffee is delicious and cheap as hell. I'm talking less than two bucks for a 20 ounce cup. Outstanding.

The customer service of this business is incredible. They really, truley do care about their customers, you can see it in their eyes. I love these guys! I somehow found them on the internet when researching caterers for my wedding. After coming to the tasting, I discovered they were an actual restaurant/coffee shop & not just a catering business. They opened their store just for me & my then-fiance on a Sunday, when their normally closed. It was an awesome experience! This was our first & only tasting because these guys won my (our) heart(s). Im grateful they set up for us on the Sunday, but wish their restaurant was open that day because their lunch & coffee menu looked incredible! Their menu that they offered us was exactly what we were looking for. Scumptious, hearty & extremely affordable. I am so glad I found this place & decided to go with them. Our all inclusive affordable pricing included: Up to 4 employees, 3 meal choices, coffee, water, tea & soda, all glasses china & silverware, beautiful linens (colors & size of your choice), cake cutting, meal serving, tax & gratuity . When they sent us our final contract, the price was a little higher than what I understood. When I brought it to their attention they explained that the guest list count affects pricing & I had drastically dropped our guest count which affected that price. But without hesitation, or argument, they kindly fixed it to the original price, despite my guest count change. Honestly, I was OK with the higher price, it was still much more affordable than any other place had quoted me. The day of my wedding, they were amazing. I actually remember chatting with Fran (our caterer coordinater) as I was standing back waiting to walk down the aisle. I was a disasterous, nervous wreck but he was making me laugh =) They did an amazing job with all the food, everyone gave them compliments all night long. Im still getting asked about them from some of our wedding guests. I highly recommend these guys for a quick lunch, coffee or to cater your wedding!

Wonderful light lunch place. I really enjoy the buffalo bleu salad. The food always taste fresh and fills me up without making me want to nap all afternoon. I haven't had any of the sandwiches, but all the salads I have had were very delicious and I am not the kind of person who ordered salad often.

This company did the catering for my son's wedding on April 3, 2015. The meal that they provided was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The proteins were cooked to perfection and the sides were extremely flavorful! Every single guest that attended this wedding raved about the meal that they received. The staff at Java lava was extremely easy to work with and they put together a great package for us. In fact, I was so impressed with their catering services that I am considering using them again for my daughter's bridal shower taking place in Orlando Florida on July 26, 2015.

Java Lava is one of my favorite work week lunch spots. I tend to think of the place as a more delicious, broader appeal alternative to a typical quick-serve restaurant like Panera Bread. My standbys for lunch include the roast beef club panini and the Greek souvlaki pita house signature combo. The panini is a great combo of roast beef, bacon, mixed greens (not just iceberg or romaine), provolone, and a yummy garlic aioli (I forgo the dijon mustard). The souvlaki is, I think, at least on par with (if not better than) the souvlaki you'll get at the Greek Corner. It is served open-faced on a fluffy pita and piled high with feta, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce. Both use better, higher quality ingredients than you typically find at this price point, and the portions are very generous. Not to mention salads are available as a side item in lieu of potato chips for a very minimal upcharge (I think less than a buck.) Java Lava also serves entree salads, flat breads, soups, regular sandwiches, and, as you would probably guess, a variety of coffee drinks. They are also open for breakfast, but I have not yet tried it. The staff is VERY friendly (it looks to be run by a family), and they go the extra mile with little details such as the chef running your food out to your table, and serving your food on real plates and with real silverware. The reason it loses a star is because the parking situation is a major detractor. For those that would be driving to go to JL, I honestly don't know where you'd park: there is no street parking in front of the restaurant during weekdays, and I think the lot behind the building is for Kinko's customers only. But otherwise, JL is a great lunch spot!

Their website makes this place look a lot nicer than it actually is. Their coffee is not that great, the roast they're using falls on the burnt end of the spectrum. I had to use more sugar than I usually do in order to make it palatable. The menus they have up are small and confusing. There are better coffee places in Orlando.

Kudos to Java Lava for being clean. Their bathroom is very tidy, the tables are always wiped down, and their kitchen, which you can see while you order and while you dine, is very orderly and seems to be very well kept. It's actually interesting to see them working; cutting, chopping, baking, while you sip on their coffee or enjoy one of their sandwiches.
