Firstly, I don't like tea. I hate tea, but I love this place. My aunt has been wanting to come here for a long time, but no one would ever go with her. She booked about 6 months out I believe for a 2:30 tea time. My mom and I went along and she had told us before to dress like characters from Alice in Wonderland. I was Alice, she was the Mad Hatter, and my mom was the White Rabbit. It was super fun and we got really into it. We went to the Grand Floridian which is fairly posh and white everywhere inside! We were seated right when we walked up. There is a cute little atrium tea room that looks out to the garden. There aren't massive amounts of tables and it's quiet which is lovely. We had Patrick I believe as our server. Younger guy who was amazing with us and super accommodating to my picky nature. They have over 60 different types of tea and some are specially blended just for this tea room. Hint hint- you can totally buy the tea to take home- you just have to ask the server and they will add it to your bill! We all got the Buckingham tea which for the price is really awesome! You get a pot of tea, tarts/scones, sandwiches, and dessert for $25 per person. There was a great timing between food and Patrick was attentive without being all over us. It was fantastic. I tried princess tea, my aunt loves the mad hatter tea, and my mom got a pomegranate fruity blend that she loved. I didn't like the tea, but our server was awesome and got me a pot of Mrs. Potts dark tea which is chocolate milk in a tea pot because I'm 28 in an Alice dress. I had ham and cheese sandwiches and peanut butter without the jelly. Who doesn't love tiny adorable sandwiches with the crust cut off!? My mom and aunt said the tuna salad sandwiches were to die for and they would come back for it, just for that. Apparently, it is incredible popular. The scones, tarts, and pastries were all yummy and we all left full! I was extremely surprised, but it's just a really fun experience! I didn't think I would like it, but it felt fun to have a tea party and be all dressed up. Some people were in sweats and some people dressed up. It just depends, but I like the dressing up and wearing dresses to a tea party thing! We also got long stem pink roses before we left and everyone in there was extremely nice. If anything, go for a relaxing slow-paced experience. They also have a harpist and a pianist in the lobby that you can here!

Great experience. Even as a vegetarian had good options. I ordered the Masala tea and wife ordered the Wild strawberries tea. Both were excellent. Our server De Layne was excellent and very kind.

This was my third time to the tea room and each time is as lovely as the last! The food is fantastic, the tea is excellent. The Grand Floridian just does things right! Service is always impeccable. If you've never done a tea like this before, plan on 3 hours. Sit, savor and enjoy! The temporary location is now over and they are back in their permanent location which has lovely views of the resort grounds. I'd take tea here every day if I lived close! My suggestions: best thing on the menu is the Princess Kate with the Mad Hatter Tea. It is specifically brewed just for this location so you can't take it home with you or buy it at any other location. Large groups are hard to accommodate as the seating in the tea room is limited and they will not allow you to bring gifts into the seating area. If you're planning a bridal tea or anything of that nature, do gifts before or after. Other than that, this place is so lovely!

The Grand Floridian is one of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts. We've enjoyed a couple of stays at this resort and we've dined at the resort many times; one of my favorite things to enjoy at Walt Disney World is afternoon tea in the Garden View Tea Room located off the resort lobby. I like to save the tea for special occasions. My birthday was coming up and I made a reservation for my family, but I soon realized I'd have more fun with some friends. Our tea took place the Sunday before Christmas when the Grand Floridian is decked out in it's holiday finest. The seasonal decorations made it quite a lovely atmosphere for my holiday birthday. This was my first visit to the Garden View Tea Room was there was no al la carte menu. I'm not sure if this is standard now or if they were only doing this during the busy holiday season? There were five options of tea service to choose from including Mrs. Potts Tea, which is geared towards children. Two of us went with The Grand Tea, while my other friends enjoyed a Princess Kate Tea and the Buckingham Tea. Having ordered a mix of tea services for our table it was nice to see the differences in the courses that were offered. Each tea service starts off with your own pot of tea. There are many tasty flavors to choose from. The servers were more than helpful in making recommendations if needed. I enjoyed a holiday tea that had a nice cinnamon flavor to it. Everyone at our table ordered a different tea and we all enjoyed sampling the different flavors. Three of us ladies got a glass of sparking champagne with our service. The Princess Kate tea came with higher quality champagne, but the option to upgrade was available. My first course for The Grand Tea was the Assorted Tea Sandwiches. I enjoyed every one of them! The Roasted Pear and Gorgonzola was my favorite, but I also thought the egg salad was perfect. The second course was the Buttery Scone and Jam Tart. These were both very good, but the Jam Tart was a bit much for me. Just when we thought we had no more room to enjoy any more food eat it was time for some treats. There are some options with The Grand Tea. I really wanted a White Chocolate Strawberry so I went with picking two treats off the pastry plate. My second choice was the Mini Chocolate Éclair. These too were tasty. Another option for the third course for The Grand Tea was Strawberries and Cream. We could not get over how beautiful this presentation was! While we all ordered different tea services our waitress did a lovely job of serving each of us at the right time. These courses were nicely spaced so that you could enjoy the food, the tea and champagne without ever feeling rushed or waiting too long for the next service. I had such a lovely time. Coming to the Garden View Tea Room during the holidays just may become a new tradition. I've always enjoyed my visits here, but having the Christmas tree and the Gingerbread House across the lobby just made it even more special.

Underwhelming. I give the high tea three stars based on the gorgeous hotel and the excellent service. The food, however, tasted like Giant Eagle deli spreads on white bread. The scones tasted like they were made from a box mix and reheated. I have been to many tea rooms previously that paid more attention to ingredient quality/taste. If this is your first experience, I think you will enjoy yourself, but you should not go out of your way to do this.

Such a fun dining option at Walt Disney World and a great option for an afternoon break from the park. We've done tea in London several times and while this place isn't "as good" as the fancy teas we've had in London, it's still damn good. The real funny part of all this is that when we go, everyone thinks I'm dragging my poor husband to afternoon tea, but HE'S the one who asks to go. He actually counts it as his only MUST DO dining experience while we are there! I go for him lol!! Pros: - They accommodated my dietary needs and let me order a la carte. This is not something they usually do, and to be clear, it was just as expensive as a full tea, but it let me enjoy my experience and not worry about getting sick. - They serve clotted cream with their scones, good clotted cream as well as home made jam and lemon curd. Why do places insist on doing an afternoon tea without clotted cream? I don't get it, it's just not afternoon tea without it, period. - The scones are awesome and if you want, you can ask for two scones instead of a scone and a jam tart with your scone course. We always do this as the scones are really just that good. Jam tart is nice too, but I mean, it's no competition really, the scones are awesome. - They have cheese plates - I love cheese plates and while not traditional, they are fantastic. - Huge tea selection, my fave is the Thunderbolt Darjeeling. If you like Darjeeling, get this one. - The room is so pretty and has a nice view of the Grand Floridian grounds - The servers are usually fantastic and very attentive Cons: - This last time we went there was initially some serious confusion between the chef and the waitress. They resolved it but it just felt sloppy. The waitress this last time was also kind of all over the place, which is an anomaly for this place as every other waitress we've had has been awesome. - Deserts are kind of meh. I wouldn't go here for fantastic desserts like you get from the posh London teas. They are good, they just aren't awesome. - Onion tart, god that thing is gross, replace if with any of the other finger sandwiches if you can. - The tables are too small for their tea offerings. Let's just get this out there, if you ALWAYS struggle to put tea on the table for each and every table, why the heck do you not get bigger tables, especially since you have the room? They don't have to be a ton bigger, just a bit bigger. Every time we go we have this problem, it's silly, just get slightly larger tables and move on.

What an incredible experience. It is a little pricey at $30 a person for the cheapest package but well worth it! The teas were excellent, all three courses were honestly delicious, the the ambiance was so relaxing and lovely. The piano from the lobby is so soothing and it is heard perfectly in the tea room. Left the tea room when we were done feeling relaxed and just in such wonderful moods. Will be coming back again soon!

We ordered Buckingham Palace and four pots of tea. Everything is delicious. We went in on the weekend before Xmas. It's the best time to visit. The resort was decorated with trees and a gingerbread house. Wonderful experience.
(4)Melanie M.
The food here is low quality. The atmosphere is nice and the service was okay. Everything seemed like it had been made well before the afternoon and had been sitting in the fridge waiting to be served. The tea was passable.

If you're looking for a fun experience that adds a little Disney Magic, this is it! The Garden View Tea Room is located within the Grand Floridian Hotel. They do a full english tea and have several different levels of teas to meet your price point. This is not your grandmother's tea. And gentlemen -- it's not a "girly thing" so have fun and take your wife, girlfriend, sister, etc with you because you'll have a good time as well! The wait staff is very professional and attentive as they see you're getting close to the next course. Note: This takes Tables in Wonderland, so use that to get Free Valet Parking and a Discount! Husband and I do this during our annual Christmas trip, as the tea is warm and they serve gingerbread tea as a special flavor. The ambiance of the Christmas Trees and music just make it perfect. We typically do the tea on an "off park" day, where we instead sleep in and have tea at around 2pm. Then we go on the monorail and look at the Big 3 hotels and how they're decorated for Christmas. They do HUGE gingerbread displays plus special decor, so it's fun to walk around and just relax.

Had a lovely experience here! After trying for months/years to get a reservation here I was finally able to get one and am so happy that it ended up being even better than I imagined. I booked it for myself and three other women in my family. Our server was so nice and attentive, she just added to the overall experience. It is located in the floor level of the Grand Floridian by the hotel lobby. There are many different tea packages that you can choose from, we all opted for the Buckingham. It starts with your server bringing you a teapot with your selected choice of tea (mines was the mad hatter) each tea pot will fill 4 tea cups so if you would like to try different teas you can have your other party members choose different ones and that way you get to taste them all. The server pours it for you and the teapot is then covered with a lovely red velvet warmer. Now come the tea sandwiches and a little sweet onion mini tart. The tea sandwich that I most enjoyed was the curry chicken and second to that the cucumber, I was not fond of the salmon as I felt it was too fishy or the egg salad as it was too eggy lol the little sweet onion tart was delicious! After the sandwiches came the scone with lemon curd, devonshire cream and jam as well as a jam tart, I most enjoyed the lemon curd with the scone. After the scone we were brought a tray with some mini dessert selections of which we chose two, these include chocolate covered strawberries, tarts, eclairs or you could also choose their strawberries and cream or english cream truffle. Will definitely try to make reservations again for such a wonderful experience!

Pricey, but you get a lot for your money. Both times I've been it was easy to make a meal of their extravagant afternoon tea. You have the option of ordering a single pot of tea or a full set of choices. For example, the Princess Kate tea came with a glass of champagne, a pot of tea, fruit, sandwiches, and a pastry for $30 something. My only complaint was one visit my fruit came out with a spot of mold, but when I pointed it out the waitress happily replaced it and the manager came out to apologize. Since it was the only problem I've encountered in my visits there it seems to be a rare exception rather than the norm. Overall a fantastic treat!

Definitely worth the visit (and calories). My husband and I had never been to the Grand Floridian before, so just driving up to the front and walking into the lobby was quite an experience. We were unfortunately told that the self-park was full and that we would need to valet our car for $20- to spend just one meal at the resort and have to pay that amount is essentially what brought this review down from 5 stars to 4 stars. I had been told that if you self-park, they validate your parking at the restaurant (so our expectation was not to have to pay for parking). The meal was on the pricey side as well- but we did expect that when we booked (over a month in advance). My husband and I got one Princess Kate Tea and one Grand Tea- the waiter timed the dishes very well so that we could split both and taste a little bit of everything. My husband enjoyed the saigon rose tea with a sugar cube (very, very good) and and had the wild strawberry green tea (so good I asked the waiter where I can find loose leaf some to make at home). I loved the fact that the bread on all of the sandwiches was so fresh and moist- my favorites being cucumber, curry chicken, and pear gorgonzola. The Princess Kate tea comes with a board of cheeses, nuts, honey comb and raisins on the vine- really refreshing course and adds some substance to a meal that is otherwise very full of bready-carbs :) Of course the scone with devonshire cream and raspberry jam was also a highlight. The raspberry tart was sooo good, and my husband did enjoy the lemon cream topping. We ended with a strawberry trifle and two chocolately-almond desserts. Definitely couldn't eat much of that last course because we were so stuffed to the brim, but they were also really good.

My friend and I decided to kick off our trip with a little relaxing afternoon tea celebration at the Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian. I had been there with my mother a few years back and loved every second of it. I couldn't wait to go back! When we got to the Grand Floridian, we quickly headed to the Garden View Lounge and checked in without a problem. Within seconds we were being ushered into the tea room and shown to our seats. The entire room is beautifully themed. It's smaller than I expected, but fits in with the Grand Floridian theme and perfect for a quaint afternoon tea. The tea menu is extensive and has a tea for everyone's palate. I wanted something bold with a lot of flavor so I chose the Masala Black Tea Chai. I love anything with cloves so I knew I'd love this. Unfortunately I honestly can't remember what my friend had but we both enjoyed her selection as well! When the tea was presented, it was delicately poured into beautiful china using a tea strainer, and then the coffee pot was covered with a beautiful velvet tea pot 'koozie'. Forgive me but I honestly have no idea what the correct term is! Looking at the menu, my friend and I wanted to try everything! But we didn't really want to go too overboard. So we decided to each get the Buckingham Palace option and taste each other's selections. Buckingham Palace - Our traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complemented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea. $23.00 per guest. We both received the tea sandwiches but asked for a few tweaks. I asked for no shrimp salad sandwich, and instead to just sub for an extra chicken curry. My friend, who's a vegetarian, asked for all of the sandwiches that didn't contain meat and wasn't picky about which ones were doubled. Since the meal came with either fresh berries OR scones and tarts, we ordered one of each so that we could both try them. The server happily said all of the requests were possible and then headed off to place our order. The tea sandwiches quickly came out and there was watercress & cucumber, chicken curry, a pear & gorgonzola sandwich, and an egg salad sandwich. Neither of us had the shrimp salad sandwich. My friend wasn't a fan of the cucumber and I wasn't a fan of the gorgonzola so we swapped those with each other. My favorite was easily the chicken curry. It had a ton of flavor, wasn't too overpowering, and was pretty much perfect. I could have eaten all 5 of those. The sandwiches also came with a small onion tart, which we both enjoyed. Next up we dug into the scones and jam tart. The server asked us which condiments we wanted (Devonshire Cream, preserves, or lemon curd) and we both asked for all three. The scone was probably my favorite, and the jam tart was good but not amazing. I loved mixing all three of the toppings together with the scone. Now this wasn't a scone in the traditional sense that we usually know here in the States. It was more like a buttery biscuit, but not as flakey. Make sense? Regardless, it was Yummy! Since one of us ordered the scone and tart, the other ordered the strawberries and cream. In the past I remember this being a big bowl of strawberries and a dollop of Devonshire Cream on top. The presentation has definitely been kicked up a notch but I think I liked being able to control the cream content myself. The Grand Floridian logo was beautifully powdered onto the cream. We both enjoyed this and said it was refreshing after the sandwiches and scone. Next up? The pastries! We had seen the pastry tray wandering around the lounge and kept seeing things we wanted. Our waitress came by with the tray when it was our turn and we both picked out two pastries. I knew I wanted a chocolate covered strawberry, as well as the raspberry cream filled swan. It was just too pretty to pass up! My friend ordered a chocolate eclair and some chocolate horn thing. I honestly don't remember what exactly it was. I'm a sucker for chocolate covered strawberries so I easily could have eaten 20 of them. The strawberry was perfectly ripe and fresh. The raspberry swan was also enjoyable. I didn't try my friend's pastries but she enjoyed them too. At the end of our meal, and after paying the bill, our server came by with a single pink rose for each of us. It seemed as though all the women in the restaurant received a rose on their way out. I thought it was a perfect touch and of course needed a photo. Overall, I LOVE the afternoon tea. The entire experience was perfect both times I've been. It's a nice way to get away from the parks and relax, or a nice way to ease into your vacation if you've just arrived. The dress code is casual so even though it's a 'fancy' ambiance, don't worry about going in your theme park clothing. There were people in dresses as well as people in shorts and flip flops.

My family and I had a very pleasant time having afternoon tea here last week. My niece had the Mrs. Potts tea but with a hot herbal tea, the princess blend rather than chocolate milk, which she does not like. I spent a little more on the grand tea, with domestic bubbly which wasn't bad but a little flat. Food was good and plentiful. Teas were tasty as well and great service. I got the Jamaican Spice herbal tea and it was really tasty. For dessert I definitely recommend the trifle, as it was excellent. And at the end our waitress presented my niece with a beautiful pink rose since she's (of course) a princess. A fun, wonderful time had by all.

What a fantastic experience! I cannot believe that I've lived in the area for almost ten years, and I've never been for high tea! Our waitress saw it was my birthday, and truly went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. The sandwiches were tasty (especially the chicken curry!), the scones and jam/lemon curd were delicious, and the desserts were scrumptious! I really can't wait to come back and experience this again!
(5)Andrea H.
Such a quaint place! This Tea Room has a large selection of teas. I'm not a tea drinker so our waitress helped me out by suggesting the Mad Hatter. It was very flavorful and fruity. A great choice! The tea sandwiches were delicious. I tried the peanut butter and jelly, tuna, egg salad, and gorgonzola and pear. The desserts were also good. I had a strawberry-rhubarb cream puff swan and a chocolate éclair. The only downside is the price. It's a little on the pricey side for what you get, but it's a fun experience!

Okay.... Okay... I don't only review breweries and pizza joints. I sometimes get my arm twisted to have some "high tea", but only when on vacation. This place in the Grand Floridian makes for a great break for the themeparks, and can serve as a great snack/lunch to re-energize you before tackling another park in the evening. They have a great tea offering including several herbal choices (Vanilla Rooibos and Nobo Whole Fruit were great) . The warm scones and dervonshire cream are very good. Good deals on combos like the Buckingham Palace which includes sandwiches, scones and pastries or strawberries and cream, or the Grand Tea that includes sandwiches, scones, and a glass of sparkline wine. You can buy a la carte, but worth the splurge to get one of the the full combos.

Afternoon tea service at the Grand Floridian was one of my top 3 favorite vacation moments from a recent trip to Walt Disney World to celebrate my 30th birthday. After a hectic and busy morning at Magic Kingdom Park, it was just lovely to take a ferry across the lake to the picturesque Grand Floridian - although being a Southern Californian, it's hard to not compare it to the even more picturesque and impressive Hotel del Coronado. The Garden View Lounge is just so pretty. So pretty. SO so pretty. The view of the flowers and pool area was pretty, and butterflies frequented the flowers just over my shoulder outside. LOVED it. The appeal of the place is the atmosphere here, the service and the scenery and the girly-ness of it all. The tea and food was not the best I'd had at tea (yes, I am a tea frequenter), but the experience as a whole made up for it. Our waitress was very sweet, although almost a bit too attentive. We started to joke, "Excuse me, it's only been 45 seconds since you've asked me if everything was ok, but I just wanted to let you know that it still is." But ya can't fault someone for that, it was nice to be taken care of. We indulged in tea, champagne, finger sandwiches (the best part), scones, tarts (second best part) and dessert pastries. They sealed the deal on winning my heart when they brought me a pretty pink, fragrant rose since I was celebrating my birthday. That just made my day!

We went to Tea Time, which was a great experience. They have several tea options and well-priced. The food, however, is a little expensive. I did happen to notice that their China was German; somebody wasn't paying attention to detail...

Very good food, I had my bridal shower here and it was all wonderful. However, for all that my maid of honor paid you would think they would allow us to open the gifts in the restaurant - but noooo, we had to go in the lobby to open gifts and play games. All very strange! I have also been for afternoon tea and it was also good. I just wish it wasn't so expensive! They now do this princess tea for little girls it seems like a rip off!

We came here to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary (a present from my mother-in-law) and will definitely be back on our next trip to WDW. Let me first start off saying that we had some very high expectations when we came to tea here, and they did not disappoint! My mother-in-law owns an English tea room in San Diego, and also happens to be one of the top tea rooms in California so the bar was set pretty high for us. First off, the decor is lovely. (Excuse my tea words, I feel it's appropriate in this review!) It's a small tea room but the settings are beautiful and they only use Royal Albert China. Service: awesome. I wish I remembered our tea hostess' name, but she was great. She was very accommodating and always made sure we had what we needed. Food: YUM! We had the British Cheese Plate and The Grand Tea which included tea sandwiches, scones, fresh fruit, champagne and ended with English Trifle. My husband LOVES brie (which was included in the cheese plate) and his mom also makes an awesome English trifle so I knew he was very pleased. Tea: Wonderful variety of teas! We chose the Mad Hatter (a popular blend) and their signature blend: Garden View. Overall a wonderful experience. Don't hesitate to take the men here! My husband is quite manly (haha) and he has no shame coming to tea. After all his mom owns a tea room and he knows how to appreciate the tradition of tea. Just like any other tea room, I would only bring kids if they are well-behaved. Enjoy!

My wife has taken all three of my girls to the Perfectly Princess Tea Party, each one when she was about 4 years old. It is a magical occasion. Each princess is escorted to her table where her new Sleeping Beauty doll is waiting for her. Make sure you are watching her when she pulls her napkin out of her tea cup - a surprise is waiting! The party is hosted by Rose Petal, who tells her story as you enjoy your tea. Adults get very good tea, sandwiches (chicken salad and the like), cheese and fruit. Children get apple juice (served in a tea cup, of course), cheese sandwiches, and fruit. Then Princess Aurora arrives! Princess Aurora spends time talking with each child, answering questions (you might want to help your child prepare some), and signs autograph books. Then they bring out the strawberry cake. You MUST try the cake - yummy is a great understatement. We loved the Princess Tea Party. I'm glad that we were able to take each of my girls to it. I believe that this is one of the best activities at Disney World for girls between the ages of 4 and 6. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it is very expensive.

Strawberries frosted to look like a tuxedo and bride. An epic view out the back of the Grand Floridian. Belle (Beauty and the Beast) comes and joins your group of daughters/family to have tea with you. If there's something that Disney does well, it's little details. Take for example, the construction of the glass of the Grand Floridian. Each pane of window is all individual panes broken up by wood, not a solid piece with a faux wooden panel. This costs three times as much and while you don't really notice it, those who know and appreciate period/quality construction notice and it's a nice, "Whoa" moment. All of these details flow down into every nook and cranny, even something as simple as Tea Time. Simple? Yes. Tea Time can be simple. A quiet space, tea, some snacks, and that's all you really need. However, give it a venue such as the gorgeous Grand Floridian and the magic just takes hold and it runs rampant. When I made a reservation for Tea Time, I only had to make it a couple of days in advance, which was quite nice, (If you are making reservations for a party of young girls or for a bridal shower or something, make this some time in advance, it was only two of us so it was a little more convenient.) We had a table for two off to the side. (A note - whereas most people who review this are doing it from a single serving/experince, I am doing mine from a very frustrating experience - dining with someone who told me AS WE SAT DOWN that he already ate and "wasn't really hungry." ...harrumph. So rather than pay for two meals or have him sit there and stare at me, he ordered a normal afternoon tea and I just ate whatever he didn't want - which turned out to be 90% of the whole meal. So I experienced two tea times here, technically.) Our waitress was very attentive, with the Disney charm - she was very, very smiley ready to answer a plethora of questions that we had. While this afternoon tea is not a "Tea House" and therefore did not have a huge stock of tea, they offered a lot of high quality teas and some beautifully prepared desserts, sandwiches, and treats. The strawberries were decorated to look like a groom and bride. The tea cosies were hand knitted. All the fine details were there, with silverware/dishware all being quality and really, just gorgeous. What made this tea so magic for me was watching a father arrive prior to his family at a large table. Halfway through our meal, the mother arrived with friend/aunt whoever with about six young girls who all sat down and ordered their tea and were surprisingly well behaved when out of nowhere, Belle from Beauty and the Beast quietly entered and asked the girls if she could join them and read them a story while enjoying their tea. The girls were all just short of fainting as she sat down and entertained them and it was just wonderful to watch. The parents were thrilled, everyone else watching cracked a grin and it was just so everyday for Disney yet it didn't distract or affect the quality of our meal by volume or attentiveness. They could have just rode their tea time with pastries and tea and decor and blah blah blah but that extra push just totally made it for me. Fine details to a T. Good job, Disney.

The garden view lounge is located in the Grand Floridian Hotel, which is GORGEOUS. I ordered the The Grand Tea which came with a variety of tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts, English trifle, a glass of sparkling wine, and tea. I enjoyed my experience but overall the food was just okay and the service could have been more friendly. For the happiest place on earth, I was expecting a little more.

How cool was it to have my first real High Tea here ?? And to be able to be able to enjoy this with my girls Dena & Deirdre was just icin' on the scone *wink* Dena and i put the boys on the shuttle bus back to the Resort and we hoped on the mono-rail to meet Dee. Got there a bit early so we lounged in the main lobby whilst sipin' on some Mai Tai's We where sat promptly and greeted by our server right away. I had already peeped on the menu at home so i knew i wanted "The Grand Tea" my girls agreed that it was the only way to do up our mommy time right. here is what the Disney site says about our choice.... "The Grand Tea ~ The classic English tradition of Afternoon Tea, Grand Floridian style. We offer you a variety of tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts, followed by your choice of our freshly baked tea pastries or English trifle, accompanied by a glass of Domaine Ste.-Michelle sparkling wine and your choice of tea. $25.50 per guest" They brought out each one of us a little tea pot with a tea of our choice in it and a glass of bubbly. The tea sandwiches they served where ~ cucumber with watercress, shrimp salad with dill, chicken salad with almonds, grilled pear with gorgonzola, and egg salad, each on a different yummy bread. Every thing was really good, but made better by the bubbles and the good company.......

Oh how I was excited for my first afternoon tea! I walked into the beautiful GF hotel and fell in love! It was Valentines Day and my hubby was napping after our day in Animal Kingdom. I made a solo reservation because he wasnt interested in the tea lunch. I was fine with that and checked into the tea room. The small garden room looks out into the wonderful garden of the hotel and most of the tables were occupied. I asked her for a tea reccomendation and she suggested the Princess breakfast tea...which I drank the whole pot! I also ordered the Princess Kate tea lunch that was accompanied with a glass of champagne..shoot, it was the day of love and my bday was in two days lol! My favorite sandwich was the curry and the scones, trifle and pastries were to die for! Your tummy will be very full when youre done! I even ordered some scones and pastries to go for the hubby, which he annihilated lol. Before I paid my bill, the lady at the check in podium brought me a beautiful pink rose and birthday button which I proudly wore for the rest of the trip. I suggest that you try the tea at GF. Make reservations way in advance! Next time, maybe hubby will come??

One of my most favorite places in the WORLD not just Disney World, but the entire WORLD!!! It has a causual elegance that The Grand Floridian is known for. The pastries and scones are of the finest qualilty. The scones are served with true Devenshire cream. They serve chocolate milk for the kids, I would only bring well-behaved ones here though. They also serve gentlemen port as well. The Grand Tea is served with Champagne ;-) This overlooks the gardens of The Grand with the pool and lake viewable in the far background. I feel pampered after a long afternoon tea here. We go for elegant birthdays and I had my bridesmaids tea there. Such great memories,... we go at least once a year. I like this high tea much better than the Ritz's. Oh!!! and make a reservation early, you'll be happy you did!!!

The Garden View Tea Room is set in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort in Walt Disney World. The ambience is what you might expect from a nicer tea room. The service was "spit-spot" as Mary Poppins would say. My friend and I ordered two lovely brews of tea - I can certainly recommend the "Harmony" blend. It was quite tasty. Our standard tea service included assorted tea sandwiches that were stale and tasteless; a buttery-rich scone with jam and lemon curd (yum!) and a strawberry trifle that made it all worthwhile. I might try this tea service again if I had someone begging me to do so. Otherwise, I'd spend my Disney Dollars elsewhere.

One of the thing I wanted to mark off my bucket-list for my Florida trip was to have afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room in the Grand Floridian hotel. And my gosh, I was so floored by this experience; it was definitely better than I had imagine. Reservation was made an ease using the My Disney Experience app. Finding the actual place was not bad either. There is a lot of friendly workers in the Disney Parks and will guide you in the right direction, but be warned, some have thick accents and can be hard to understand. Other than that, parking to the venue is free. This is great because if you are just dining you don't have to be the steep fee of $17 for parking in the parks. Also, you can take the monorail or boat from the Grand Floridian to Disney's Magic Kingdom (this allows you to pick up your park passes ahead of time). Upon arriving to the hotel, my boyfriend and I was amazed. The place is gorgeous and very elegant. The Garden View Tea Room is located in the corner of the main lobby where there is a pianist playing throughout the day. They will find you in the lobby when your table is ready. My boyfriend and I were seated in the back corner of the place where we had a nice view of the garden. It was beautiful and relaxing. As for their menu, it is pretty extensive. It is tiered so each level cost a little more, but contains more items. Prices range from the fancy Yorkshire Tea at $175/person which includes caviar and champagne to the Bedfordshire Tea at $30/person (the most basic). My boyfriend and I opted for the Cheshire Tea at $45/person. It included a first course of exotic fruits and imported cheese, second course of finger sandwiches with berries and cheese, third course of scone with jam, and the finale your choice of dessert. And of course, for each tea pairing you get to choose your own pot of tea. I went with the seasonal green strawberry tea. It was light, crisp, and had a hint of strawberry. My boyfriend went for a more bold tea, the Mad Hatter's tea; ceylon tea with passion fruit and pomegranate. It was my first afternoon tea experience and it was one of my favorite experience from our trip. Yes, it was a splurge. However, the whole dining experience was unforgettable and I definitely will do it again, but maybe next time I'll ask if we can share because it was way too much food.

I had my first experience at the Garden View Tea Room today and absolutely loved it! We had to make reservations about 2 months in advance and were pretty much forced in to one time because there wasn't much choice. I was a little apprehensive because I'd read some not so great reviews about rushing you and not having nice staff members present, but we didn't experience that at all. Both our hostess and server (Riley) were great! We were seated in a nice little two person corner table that had a great view. Our server was very knowledgeable about the various types of teas and the food variety we were being served. We both did the Bedfordshire Tea, which is $30 pp, and you receive each a pot of tea, a fairly large plate of finger sandwiches, cheese and fruit, a scone course and a dessert. If you can get reservations, I would highly recommend the Garden View Tea Room! It's so relaxing to slowly take in your tea and listen to the sounds of the pianist in the lobby. I definitely didn't feel like I was on Disney property!

After making a reservation in OCTOBER we finally got to experience the Garden View Tea Room at The Grand Floridian at Disney. First of all, having the tea at the Grand Floridian itself is simply amazing. The moment you walk in your feel like you have been transported to a different era. There was even a classical pianist and ragtime band playing as we entered the doors and drank our tea. My husband and I both chose the Bedfordshire Tea, which has three courses. I chose to have the Princess Breakfast Tea and my husband had the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. The courses come out like this: First Course Medley of Finger Sandwiches accompanied with Berries, Cheese and Lavosh - Second Course Buttery Scone and Jam Tart - Finale Choice of delicate House-Made Pastries, Strawberries and Creme, or English Trifle I couldn't believe how full I was at the end that I couldn't even finish my Banana Caramel trifle. The first course was sooooo delicious and i loved all the sandwiches. I know someone below complained about the onion tart but I thought it was lovely. Also, I love goat cheese and beets so that was a hit for me. My husband's favorite was the berry tart during the second course. SOOOooo good that our server snuck us a couple to go :) Ask for Dotty! She's a doll!

The garden view tea room is an amazing experience for anyone at Disney! I managed to score a reservation 30 days prior for their last seating of the day on a Thursday. If you know you want to go, book as far out as you can; they fill up quick! I was seated a few minutes after I checked in (I was a little early!) and then my waitress came to take my order. I got the buckingham tea (tea sandwiches, scone and tart, and desert) with a pot of mad hatter's tea party, a custom blend for this tea room. My sandwiches included the typical cucumber and watercress as well as chicken curry, egg salad, tomato and pesto, and another that I can't recall. The cranberry scone with the jam tart were awesome as well. My server also told me they were her favorite items on the menu. They are served with jam, Devonshire cream, and lemon curd (my favorite!). Then came dessert. You could pick from a strawberry or seasonal (think it was pumpkin) trifle or pastries. I was pretty disappointed with my pastries though; they are pre picked for the day I guess. The mini eclair looked as it had been defrosted since the icing was hard and had condensation. The swan was filled with a very sweet berry filling. The chocolate covered strawberry was dipped in white chocolate, which I loathe. I probably would try the trifle if I went again. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience for $25!

I honestly thought that the Ritz Carlton had the best tea time until I experienced this one. The Garden Tea Room is a quaint, yet beautiful tea room located in the Grand Lobby of the Grand Floridian. My wife and I were escorted to our seats by the hostess and then the awesomeness that is tea time at Disney ensued. The price ranges from $30/per person and above depending on what type of tea service you would like. The ones that served alcohol and much more food were the pricey ones. My wife and I ordered the low end tea time and were not disappointed. The the variety and quality of tea we were served was very, very, good. And, everything else (from the finger sandwiches, to the cheese and fruit, scones, and dessert) was fantastic. Keep a look out for the berry tart. This was easily my favorite food item of the whole tea time. I am sure we will be back as this might have been the best tea time we've experienced yet.

I was most definitely impressed with tea time at the Garden View Tea Room! While many would assume that afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian Disney Resort would be exhorbitant in price and worthless...I, on the other hand found it to be one of the highlights of my trip. We took a monorail from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian for 4 PM reservations. We checked in early and waited about 5 to 10 minutes since Disney tries to follow their time slots as closely as possible. They are usually fully booked and it takes months to snag a spot so in either case, you're pretty much lucky if you get in. You have four different tea service options as adults...they also have one for children if you choose to bring your little one. So I chose the Buckingham Tea...$25 brings you your own pot of tea which is good for four servings. In my case, we had four girls each with their own pots...more than enough and it was great to sample several different teas as opposed to sticking to my own. Your $25 also includes an assortment of tea sandwiches, scone and jam along with a lemon curd cream and dessert at the end. You can choose two items from a tray of assorted goodies- things like chocolate covered strawberries, mini eclairs, puff pastries, etc...or the option of their signature Strawberries and Cream.Overall you will be very full! So make sure you come ready to indulge. Service was top notch. We had Riley who seemed as if she had come straight out of a fairy tale, I kept thinking Mary Poppins while I was there. She was cute as a button, very polite, friendly and super efficient. Our experience was EXCELLENT and I look forward to tea time on my next Orlando visit.... PINKIES UP!

I almost gave this a five-star the only thing that prevents me from doing so is the way they do reservations and the hostess. If you make reservations and you know you have a big party coming in why not make accommodations instead of saying we'll see what we can do and will try to put you together. I knew it was going to be kind of an issue with the party of nine but they made it harder than it had to be in the in the ended up accommodating us at the same table but they truly made a stink out of it to begin with. Riley our waitress was amazing one of the best service I've ever experienced in my life sweet accommodating answered all her questions she was awesome. The prices are high I would suggest going to see the menu before planning the whole event if you plan on having more than four people you cannot order small items off of the menu other than the tea so if people plan on eating you have to buy one of the courses Courses are as cheap as 30 and go all the way up to 150 if you're having caviar and champagne. I would suggest going but it's not for parties of more than 6 due to them not willing to make the space. ASK FOR RILEY!!!!!

It is a beautiful area and such romantic way to spend the afternoon. The food is fantastic and tea is excellent. Service is always incredible. The desserts are to die for. Highly recommend.

Conflicted between 2-4 stars and here is why. I took my beautiful baby girl here for tea with Princess Aurora. It was gorgeous. Each girl received a tiara, upon arrival (so they would all feel like princesses). Once we were seated each little girl received a doll & a wand (my daughter loved it). We were ten served tea. My daughter drank HER WHOLE TEA POT within 30 minutes or less. I tasted it, it was absolutely delicious. Then comes my tea. YUK! is the best word to describe it. I have no words to to give you that could possibly accurately depict what it's flavor reminded me of (maybe boiled ass cheeks??). They offered me no sugar or honey either which I thought was weird. This is DISNEY for goodness sakes. I paid $300 for my daughter and I to come and sip tea and hear a story. If I want sugar, it should be readily available! After we were served our delicious tea (insert sarcasm here please) they brought out out "sandwiches." My daughter received mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the shape of hearts & some fresh fruit. The bread on the hearts was HARD...yes hard and stale. The fresh fruit was YUMMY. She ate all of that. My sandwiches were of mixed review. The egg salad mini sandwiches were EXCELLENT. The flavor was perfect! The mini salmon sandwiches, on the other hand, were FLAT OUT GROSS, DISGUSTING AND OFFENSIVE. After I took a bite of it, I immediately had to fight (and I mean fight hard) not to projectile spit this thing across the room. EWWWWWW. I looked around at the other adult plates, and not 1 of the mothers or father, that I could see, at theirs. There was another mini sandwich as well, but I really don't remember what it was so it must not have been too vile or good for that matter. Finally they bring out this little slice of heavenly pink cake. It was WONDERFUL. This strawberry cake had the best flavor! Better than any other cake I have ever had. (too bad their food flavor quality didn't match the cake!) My daughter had hers gone in 3.5 seconds flat. The story told by Miss Rose Petal was awesome. Her voice was amazing. Princess Aurora came around to EVERY little girl and took a picture with them. I would def go back again.....but they really need to get the food aspect of this experience together.

What a lovely experience the Garden View Tea Room is for tea. Bizarrely, the tea is not overpriced for other high tea experiences. It sits comfortably between $25-50/adult and about $13/child, which is on par with my other experiences. MENU SELECTIONS (pick your meal). There are essentially three different offerings: one for kids, two for adults. BUT, you'll see five different types of offerings listed. That's because Adult Offering 1 and 2 can be upgraded with port or champagne. My sister and I went with the Buckingham Tea. We're picky eaters and wanted to enjoy everything. The Buckingham Tea comes with three courses and one pot of tea. (Since there are two of us, we each picked a different pot of tea and shared. You can get about 4x 4oz pours per pot.) TEA SELECTIONS: There were about three to four teas per category -- seasonal selections, signature blends, green/white, black, oolong, herbal. It was nice to have all the categories of tea represented with a few picks each. --BUCKINGHAM TEA-- FIRST COURSE: Assorted Sandwiches. ::: Beet with goat cheese served on white bread. I ate this first since it sounded (and was) least appetizing to me. Goat cheese is way too strong for my weird, picky palette. ::: Egg salad. Light, and not overly eggy. Thankfully. ::: Roasted tomato with pesto sauce served on a crostini-like toasted bread. Delicious like some kind of Italian dream. Had a sprout-y spring garnish. ::: Caramelized onion mini-pie. OMG try this sucker with the Mad Hatter's Tea Party blend. It was amaze-balls. Oops, back to my Mary Poppinese: "It was simply delightful. Practically perfect in every way!" ::: Chicken salad curry. Very flavorful. On par with Chef Kiran's version in Houston. ::: Cucumber watercrest. This was a normal offering and great palette cleanser. SECOND COURSE: Buttery scone (with cranberries) and jam tart (served with lemon curd, Devonshire whipped cream (fresh butter), and a strawberry jelly. ::: The pastries were surprisingly delicious. While not warm, as I prefer, like some other high teas, they were very delicious. FINAL COURSE: Choice of house-made pastries, strawberries and creme, or an English trifle. ::: House made pastries. My sister got this. It came with a chocolate covered Napoleon, white chocolate covered strawberry with crunchies, and a berry-whipped cream filled pastry swan. It was very good, but maybe not great. ::: English trifle. I came in the fall (early October), and so it was an apple-pumpkin delight. I have never had trifle. My sister described it as a pudding or custard. I am not keen on pumpkin, but this was delicious and perfect for the fall. BONUS -- it came in a larger portion! TEAS WE TRIED: ::: Mad Hatter Tea Party (signature). Delightfully spicy and excellent with your first, savory course. ::: Organic Pear Tree Green (seasonal). Not sweet but you can definitely taste the pear. It isn't a hint but the full-on flavor. We really liked this with our second course. ::: Eros (black). Very surprising as it was slight notes of the Mandarin orange but definitely vanilla flavored. We had this one with our final course and very much enjoyed it. (Note, you can buy extra pots of tea, hence the third tea review.) AMBIANCE: I would give it a mid-fancy rating. It wasn't as fancy as some tea rooms in certain hotels (St. Regis, Houston) that I have been to, but it was fancier than other places I have been. Their tables are TINY, and so bring your purse hooks! Also, they have these cozies to keep your teas warm at your table. This will make the teapot handles very hot. Also, the cozies are kind of falling apart. (Ahem, costuming department!) We were bugged by a fly that landed in my sister's lemon curd. SERVICE: Delightful. I am really picky about my teas. Thankfully, Maria from Mexico really knew her stuff and didn't suggest bad teas. I was really appreciative to finally get a fellow tea enthusiast. Overall: I would most definitely go here again, especially if I took a morning flight to the resort but didn't want to go to the Parks right away. It was a perfect place to enjoy a nice few hours. Rushers can get in and out in just about 2 hours. My sister and I enjoyed a three hour tea.
