Rolls are BOGO, which works out quite well. The spicy tuna roll was very good and the miso soup was very hot and tasty. Very good sushi for the price and they have discount for students.

Good quality for what you pay for! My boyfriend and I got the 12 sushi rolls for 50 dollars and it was well worth the money. It was really dead so our service was really good. The rolls were all very delicious. I would go again.

If you eat here order the Rainbow Roll or the Spicy Girl Roll. They are both delicious.

I live only 5 minutes from this place and I feel fortunate to live so close to a place with such quality sushi and Japanese food. I have been to Japan and so my standards for Japanese food in particular are quite high. I can say that this place is very authentic - every roll I have tried there has been very good. The teppan dinner and the udon is also very good as well. The edamame and miso is pretty average. I might have given this place a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the service which is abnormally slow. Other than that, it's a great place.

Being right down the street from my apartment I thought I'd give it a try. I bought the $15 gift certificates when I can spent $30. Stupid I was, I bought two. My boyfriend and I like to try new places and we have a high standard for food. I went in there and there was no business really. So i thought in my head its probably not any good. The rolls were decent. We ordered two rolls and I specifically asked the waitress if I can just have Octopus in my sunomono and she said NO. So I said Ok, I don't want it. Ten minutes later she brings me this plate of garbage and I say "what is this?", she told me something.. no sunomono and i was confused?? She was Chinese, her English was horrible. She showed me the menu and I told her I didn't want it. My bf and I were telling her we didn't want it but she insisted that we ordered it and she said something like I can't take it back or something. She sort of threw a tantrum and ran to the sushi chef. She then started complaining to the other waitress that was there. I couldn't hear her clearly but I know she was aggravated. However, my rolls were decent. I won't return there again because of the service, and it was not all that great.

Overall, pretty good sushi. I went with a group of friends late on a Monday night and the chefs spared no expense. The more intricate rolls were delicious, but the standard ones, like Tuna Roll, were just on par. The prices are a little expensive, but at least that night they had a buy-2-get-1-free special going. It's a pretty small place, so you can be guaranteed a relaxing atmosphere, but then again, I'm not sure if there will be a long wait during busier hours.

This is a great lunch spot. The service is never the best and I wouldn't advise going here for dinner. Lunch however has great prices. They always have 2 for 1 beers regardless of domestic or imported. Always a special on the board for dinner though if you are into it. They have a good selection of sushi however my boyfriend said it isn't the best, not the worst. Decent house sake, overall you leave with a full belly and the food is pretty good. The service could use some revamp though..

Today I was craving sushi, and after reading some reviews decided to try Fuji Yama. I got the Alaskan roll and the spider roll. Both were delicious. Added bonus? Doorstep delivery will bring it right to your front door!

One of my girlfriends and I have been twice in the past week, if that says anything! My sushi-buddy and I are always on the lookout to try new spots as we are very picky about our sushi. She likes cooked, I like raw, and we both require a non-fishy smelling place to eat. Haha. Anyhow, we last week tried Fujiyama Sushi for the first time since it had a high star average and positive reviews on Yelp. Our server was very friendly and told us which were her favorite, which were the most popular, and which she didn't care for. I appreciate when someone is honest about not liking everything on the menu... I didn't keep track of which rolls we ordered, but it was a mixture of friend and raw and they were all great! Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs and out of the 5 rolls we ordered, we took half of everything home. Our server told us that Wednesdays and Thursdays they have a special for buy 2 rolls get the 3rd one for free (off of rolls #1-30). After tennis Wednesday night, my friend and I decided to go back! It was just as good and we, again, ordered way too much food. I will definitely go back again.

The lunch specials are great! I really love the basic rolls and I love that the size of the rolls are small so you can eat them in one bite! The service was attentive. With my yelp check-in I got a FREE order of crab ragoon too! I will definitely be back for more sushi!
Everything was very fresh and tasty! A nice a calm music on the background made the perfect ambient! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Very good sushi, close from home and very casual so you don't have to dress up to go. You must try the Haven, it is probably one of the best sushi rolls I ever had.

Great sushi selection and good service. If you're a fan of tuna, they have plenty tasty rolls to chose from. Both the Mango Tuna and the Tuna Lover Rolls were fantastic.

This is a nice little spot around the corner from our house. We often will stop in for a quick bite, often spur of the moment. Service is great and Their sushi is delicious. I thoroughly enjoy the aesthetic presentation as well; top notch. I like to sit at the sushi bar from time to time to catch the action. Would reccomend to anyone.

Not wanting to go downtown/universal area/somewhere far for good sushi? Check Place where there is ample parking? Check Wanting a clean and not noisy restaurant? Check Wanting to be local around the UCF area? Check Want Happy Hour Specials that are from Monday-Sunday? Check Want a place that has awesome lunch specials? Check Affordable compared to other places and give good portions? Check Craving sushi on a sunday when most good sushi places are closed? Check If those questions apply to you then Fuji Yama Sushi is your answer! This place has decent quality fish and rolls that will satisfy your sushi cravings when you just want to be local or stay around the UCF area. Also, if you check-in you get free Crab Rangoons! Who doesn't like free? I highly recommend getting the love boat for two if you want a bang for your buck. You get two chef rolls, and a boatload (haha) of sashimi and nigiri. Typical fish you will see on the boat are: yellowtail, tuna, salmon, octopus, white fish, snapper. The quality of the fish was decent. Nothing wowed me, BUT it was decent enough to satisfy my sushi craving! Not sure if Krab is used for the boat but we requested that no Krab to be added. In addition, you get a miso soup and salad as a starter. That's alot of food as the fiance and I were struggling to finish the remaining sashimi left...and we normally eat alot. This is also a good stop for lunch as you can get 2 rolls (from a selected list, but there is alot of decent options!) for $8.59 and adding an additional roll for $1.99. Along with either a soup or salad. Now that is alot of food! My favorite rolls (aka the rolls I get for lunch) are: the spicy octopus roll and the spicy yellowtail roll! We will definitely be back!

I come here a lot during my lunch break at work because of their amazing special! You can get two sushi rolls for $8.99 and then if you want a third, it's $1.99. A total steal. The service is fast and the sushi is pretty good! A nice, cheap sushi lunch. I'll definitely be back!

The BEST little sushi place I've ever been to. Not many people know about Fujiyama as it it's a small little restaurant tucked away and lost in the midst of a litter of other store front businesses. The miso soup is so rich and the sushi is spot on each time. The only reason that it doesn't have 5 stars is because the service can be a bit slow. There is usually only one waitress. Maybe they are being modest and don't know how busy they can actually get.. But they can really use more waitstaff... especially during lunch time!

Rebecca A.
I want to preface that I've had a lot of good meals here in the past. The last one was a complete disaster and I will no longer be a patron of this restaurant. I ordered a philly roll that contains smoked salmon. While eating it, I discovered there was a bone inside the salmon still. When I alerted the wait staff they were apologetic, however only took 10% off the cost of my total bill. I honestly felt like the cost of the roll should have been taken off at the very least. The final straw for me was noticing a very large live cockroach crawling on the side of the dividing wall in the center of the dining area. Where one is seen, you can guarantee hundreds more are unseen and potentially accessing the food being served. For these reasons, I cannot bring myself to return.

Very good sushi and especially for the price if you get the sushi combo lunch special. You get soup or salad plus any two rolls with an additional 3rd roll for only $1.99 brought out total per person to $10 and change. They also have a stamp card for the 11th $20 you spend there is free, so don't forget to grab it on your way out if you love sushi! Oh and the crab ragoons were delicious with the sauce. We also dipped our sushi in that sauce as well as spicy mayo and it was very good. Definitely going back soon.

On December first, three of us were on a mission for Sushi. The mission led us to Fuji Yama. We couldn't have been more pleased. Three of us shared nine rolls and soup, plus tip for under $50. Granted, we were there at lunchtime, but the portions were still generous, fresh, and delicious. Service was fantastic, not-too-hovery, but whenever we needed something, Doreen was there! Would definitely return in the future.

Overall decent, but I don't feel any desire to return. ENVIRONMENT & SERVICE Inside it's small, a bit dim and not very colorful. The employees there don't give me the sense that they have any real passion for what they do. But our waitress was sweet and sufficiently attentive for being 1 of 3 tables in the place. As for hygiene? Seems clean I guess...all the plates and glasses were clean. But a nearby table had to call the waitress over to show her that there was something in her soup. Gross. Kinda made my stomach turn...we had already finished our food. DRINKS Lychee sake - yum!!! A clear, cool and very flavorful sake. Strong lychee flavor. But $6.50 a glass! My friend ordered green tea and it seemed average and unmemorable, but the tea pot was really pretty. SUSHI ROLLS Tried the monster roll, mango roll, and kamikaze roll. Liked the monster roll a lot because it included shrimp tempura so it had a nice crunch and a textural variety. Mango and kamikaze rolls were okay but suffered greatly from extremely disappointing textures. They were so mushy that I wanted to gag. The ingredients looked like a piece of avocado and pureed fish. GROSS. OTHER FOOD Ginger salad - mostly just iceberg lettuce and a ginger dressing that looked like it was mixed with mayo. Beef teriyaki came out sizzling on a fajita style plate. It looked and smelled awesome. I didn't eat any because my friend ordered it, but I was jealous! Tempura - the style of tempura they use seems to be the panko style, or comprised of lots of little crispy crumbs instead of a smoother batter. DESSERT Banana tempura with ice cream - not terrible but the fried banana seemed underripe and fried so briefly that it was kind of gummy. By far not the best banana tempura!

I came here with a group of friends on Superbowl Sunday (2013). There were only a couple of tabletops with people eating, and no one at the bar. We ordered a few beers, started looking at the menu, and were enjoying the game. I was singled out by the very inconsiderate sushi chef for saying a profanity. He yelled at me from behind the bar, and pointed his spatula directly at me. My party and I found this extremely offensive. We didn't understand why he would be so rude as to call out a single patron for using such a minor profanity, actually bringing much more attention to it. There were no patron's or families complaining about it. Actually, later we overheard a mother use a highly offensive profanity in front of her child. I can understand a business owner not wanting a loud group of cursing adults, but this was not the case at all. After ordering, we tried to enjoy our meal, but the incident left a bad taste in our mouth. When one of our party asked the waiter why the chef would single me out, she apologized deeply for him (while he watched). He never said anything, or tried to make any amends. The food was wonderful, fresh and had a beautiful presentation. I would definitely return for the food, but the service and rudeness of the staff will keep me away from this restaurant for a while.

Tucked away in a shopping plaza, this Japanese restaurant has charm. Sure its not very busy, but for me it was a relaxing change. While I was there for sushi, I also noticed their selection on appetizers and entrees were priced right and sounded delicious. I had the house salad, and my wife had the miso soup to start. While my wife enjoyed the soup I really wasn't a fan of the creamy ginger dressing on the house salad. I will avoid that next time. The volcano roll was great! as was the amazing roll. I noticed their website included a order online option, which will be great if I ever want sushi to go. Overall I was very pleased with the service, cleanliness, taste, and price of the food. I will definitely be coming back again.

I like Fujiyama because it is extremely close to my house and I love their lunch special! If I am ordering rolls, my favorites are the Alaskan roll and the Spicy Tuna roll. (Hint: it's not very spicy.) The ginger salad is okay, but the dressing is a little too mayonaisse-y. The miso soup is pretty good! For the lunch special, you have a choice of a cup of soup or a salad and 2 rolls for $8.59 (I believe) and you can add a 3rd roll for $1.99. Recently, I have mostly been indulging in the salmon and/or yellowtail sashimi and tuna tataki (which I always order with sliced avocado.) Also, I like their green tea here :) Overall, it's definitely not the best sushi restaurant I have visited, however it's convenient for it's location, the fish is pretty good and it has a nice, tranquil atmosphere if you are dining-in. I should also add that their teppan lunches are pretty delicious!

Excellent sushi. Cheap prices. Everything was fresh and the vibe mellow. This isn't a 'girls night out' place, or a place to get dressed up and order martinis. This is a very blue collar, Spartan restaurant, where the focus is on the food. Everything I tried was fresh, served at the perfect temp and absolutely delicious. The sashimi portions were generous and the prices here are very reasonable. The waitstaff is laid back and friendly. I sat at the bar and had a nice conversation with the chefs. They recommended what was fresh and they were dead on. I highly recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I have both been on this sushi kick so when we found this little gem it became a weekly date. Ugh my mouth is watering now just thinking about it.

Good! It's in the shopping center at Dean and University, and has a big red sign. Plenty o' parking. Clean, quiet on a Thursday evening. The service was very good and the waitress answered my questions. I started with miso soup, which was better than most. I ordered 2 specialty rolls: a Dream Roll, and a Spider Roll. Both were delicious and served attractively. I also had a pot of Green Tea, which was not quite hot enough. I'd recently read that the proper way to eat sushi rolls is whole, with just a titch of wasabi and ginger and soy sauce, if you like. It makes for pretty large bite, but the flavors do mingle in the way the chef intended. I gotta admit it's pretty luscious that way. So I was pretty full and satisfied until the waitress told me I still had a few bucks left on my $30 half-price deal, so I ordered fried bananas. Better than I had hoped, and again served attractively with ice cream, cherry and whipped cream. I will definitely return!

I understand why the lunch is so cheap. The service is terrible and the food was mediocre. I came here for lunch with my siblings as we all took off from work to meet up. The salad dressing tasted like watered down thousand island with mayo and lime. (gross) and the sushi was ehhhh. The only thing that tasted pretty decent was this sushi roll with crab in it..I forget what it's called. Either way, I would probably never eat here again.

I visited yesterday for lunch with a co-worker. While the food was good, the service was really bad. When our sushi arrives my co-worker quickly notices the order was wrong. We relay that to the waitress and she looked as if we were speaking another language. She says, well, I can get you the correct order. We both said no, its ok, we'll just eat what you brought. Also, my co-workers fried tofu was never brought out. A few minutes pasted and the tofu arrives. We start to eat and a second waitress shows up with the correct order and places it on the table. We look at her puzzled. she says "this was your original order, didn't you ask for it?". We both said "no, we didn't we said it was fine and we'll just take what you gave us." After receiving very nasty looks from the waitress we asked if we would be charged, she said no and so we kept it. it was all unnecessary. the rude looks didn't help as the confusion was not on our end but her own.

Still shocked how good the sushi was here and how much bang you can get for your buck. I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe dinner for $19.95 and got 4 pieces of tuna, salmon, yellowtail and I think halibut and the chunks of fish were SO FRESH and not a bit fishy! No soy sauce needed! I changed my roll that comes with it to a spicy tuna roll instead of california roll and it was a great choice. It came with really good miso soup (big slices of seaweed!) and salad. It was so much food I could have easily shared it with someone. I too have eaten sushi in Japan, and pretty much everywhere else, and this is just as good as the sushi in Tokyo or Los Angeles. And, I've already been back a 2nd time and it didn't disappoint.

The "grand opening" for this restaurant was a couple weeks ago, so I visited with my girlfriend upon her suggestion. We got there around 5:30pm and it was quite empty. Seemed like typical decor for a Chinese restaurant that you would find in a shopping plaza. Cheap. Not very decorative. The tables themselves were quite bare, except for the menus including a sheet to write your order on if you wished (?), and a lone bottle of soy sauce. Two sushi chefs worked at the sushi bar to the side. We reviewed our menus. The prices seemed quite dear for the entrees and dinner offers, and since the lunch specials ended at 2:30, we ordered rolls. I ordered the spicy octopus roll and my girlfriend ordered the spider roll and a California roll. Our quiet, solemn waitress took our menus and whisked away with our orders wordlessly. Our orders arrived. The rolls looked smaller than what's served at other sushi establishments. My octopus roll was not very tasty or spicy as was indicated on the menu. The California roll was only slightly better with its sweet Krab (not crab) meat. The spider roll was good, although I wished the roll was bigger. Our waitress in the empty restaurant never once came by to see how we were doing. Once the check was paid and I left the tip, she wordlessly picked up the paid bill and walked away. Unsatisfied with the dining experience, my girlfriend and I left. As we exited, the guys at the sushi bar wished us farewell.

I have been here about ten times and I've never been dissappointed!! Their fish is always fresh and their menu offers a little bit of everything. The only con is that their water and tea have a funky taste to them so I am forced to drink soda (which I try to stay away from) when I got there. Their service is great as well! They are always prompt with refills and really make you feel at home. Depending on my mood I sometimes sub out ingredients in my sushi rolls and so far they have accommodated all of my requests. I highly recommend getting a side salad with your meal. Their ginger dressing is life changing!
Great place. The next day I woke up with the bubble guts...reevaluating yet another Asian place...lol

Best value for a sushi restaurant. I order the sushi and sashimi combo which comes with big thick slices and large sushi pieces. They do not skimp on this at all. Ambience is relaxing enough for a date yet casual enough to eat with friends. Their lunch specials are pretty great too.

First off let me say that I took full advantage of the happy hour. When I arrived I was greeted by the waitress and noticed only one other table. Perfect, I don't like going to dinner by myself to a restaurant full of people. I sat at the sushi bar and watched tv, which was the travel channel or CNN. I'll take either. Onto the food. It came out fast. Within ten minutes (maybe quicker) I had my appetizer and sushi in front of me. For $12 (with tax) I had a yellowtail roll, a california roll, shrimp nigiri, and two dynamite rolls. Now, the rolls consist of 4 pieces each, and I could never eat that much if they were regular sized rolls, however I am a woman and it was the prefect size for me (and I left stuffed). The rolls were very fresh, and just overall awesome tasting. The dynamite rolls, which came out nice and warm, were not large, but they were the perfect size for me with just the right amount of ingredients for the size. The california roll perfect. I have no other words. :) Now, I know my sushi and eat it on the regular basis, and I would rate this place as easily top 1 or 2 of the places I have been. I also took advantage of the free check in offer as well, and needless to say I brought that home with me in a to go box. The waitress was nice, kept my water filled and always asked if I needed anything. We talked about the area and when the happy hour is because I am new to the Orlando area I left with my belly full and a menu to go. The waitress suggested their lunch menu, which also looks great for my wallet. Needless to say I will be back and I highly recommend this place to everyone, especially if you're on a budget.

This place is always great for their lunch special. You can get 3 rolls for $10 along with soup or salad. It's the best sushi place in the area for the price. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Good quality sushi and don't forget to check in on yelp for a free crab Rangoon!

We love this place! My wife and I live right around the corner and spontaneously walked in one night. The sushi tasted fresh, they had unique choices and we love the owners. The owners are very nice and genuine! They also have a great happy hour! I would definitely recommend their crab ragoon but be careful because when they first come out they are BURNING hot. As an appetizer my personal favorite is the gyoza. Its a boiled dumpling stuffed with pork. I can eat that all day! We love this place and plan on going back regularly! The place is good for kids, but it's a pretty quiet place so you gotta keep your kids in check.

We came here for lunch before our flight back home to jersey on a recommendation from my cousin, who is a regular and loves this place. The sushi was very tasty, take your pick of any of the specialty rolls and you won't be disappointed. I always try the a la carte items like urchin sushi or scallop sashimi if a sushi place has them. Here, the urchin was a little better than most places but the scallop could've been better. Their chirashi was very tasty as well, very fresh. Unfortunately, the service was very mediocre the day we went, which my cousin said was not the norm for them. Granted we had a big order, but at the time of our visit there weren't very much other customers and we were still served later than other parties. It might have had to do with the fact that the assistant sushi chef was late, but I've been to places run by a sole chef that gets by without much difficulty. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and say I would come back here the next time we make a trip down to Orlando.

I love, love, love Fuji. Definitely the best sushi I've had in the UCF area. Everything is served at the perfect temperature and the sushi is fresh as can be. If you don't like sushi, have no fear. Their menu includes a ton of other dinner specials and options. Personal recommendation - the teppan dinners. Certainly enough for that meal and the next. Their lunch special cannot be beat. They also do buy two get one free roll specials throughout the week. Don't forget to show a student ID for a 10% discount!

It's time I did an update since I've been coming here and greatly enjoying their sushi lunch specials. Two rolls for $8.99 the third one is only $1.99 more. The rolls are meaty and my favorite so far is the kamikaze roll stuffed full of spicy raw salmon, alvocado, and crunchy tempura bits, I love it!

First time we visited it was like heaven! This time the food was average... Service still very good though. We noticed our favorite specialties were slightly different and that changed everything... The Naruto had cheese this time and heaven didn't taste as good as before. Still, we might come back on our next visit to Orlando.

This is a relatively good Japanese restaurant to this area. The sashimi and sushi combo is really good. the fish is fresh and thick. The Japanese beef curry is not that good. It's a little bit salt. The udon noodle looks quite good and I will definitely try that next time

Awesome place! Went for lunch today after reading reviews. Got a free crab rangoo from Yelp check-in. It was made to order, freshly fried, fried cream cheese filling and delicious. Got 6 different rolls for my girlfriend and I. We love sushi and have tried most places around. They had a MUCH larger "lunch roll" menu than most sushi restaurants. Spend $25 on everything. All the rolls were fresh and fantastic. Definitely our new go-to sushi spot!!!

The sushi here is exceptional!!! I've tried several rolls & they have all been up to par. The Crab Special Roll and the Jaguar Roll are two of my favorites. Also, the fried rice is pretty good here as well along with the steamed gyoza. They have a great deal for lunch, I believe it's from 1-3pm where most rolls are 2 for $8.95 or 3 for around $10 and the rolls are quite filling. I eat here for lunch AT LEAST once a week, and it's not limited to dine in only so it's great to pick up on your lunch break :) definitely a happy customer.

Fujiyama is were I went when I was in school. When I walked in they already knew what I wanted :) they have great deals and overall prices. I was always satisfied with the food and the service, and they have amazing eel rolls, which says a lot to me as I am so picky on my eel rolls.

Great lunch specials, worth the drive for us from South Orlando! 2 rolls from a list plus soup/salad for $8.99 with additional rolls for $1.99 each. This is my second time here and it was better than the first. The spicy yellowtail was my favorite, it melted in my mouth, so good. We will definitely be back again! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing! My girlfriend and I are big time sushi eaters and have tried many places in east Orlando. Nothing is like Fuji Yama on dean and university. Tucked away in the Publix parking lot, by far a Ucf favorite. Wednesday and Thursday but 2 rolls get 1 free. The monster and Mexican bubble rolls are our favorite as well as the volcano roll a-freakin-mazing! Never disappointed here and we are frequent visitors!

It just so happens that by chance I found this place searching for sushi. I got take out and didn't wait very long at all and it was amazing sushi. I've gone back several times now and still have not been disappointed. Each time service is great, it can get a bit slow when it gets busy but the food is well worth a little extra wait time. It's never uncomfortable in there. If your looking for some place near UCF this is the best place around!

This is a small business with a dedication to authentic, quality sushi. Of all the sushi places in the surrounding area, I have found Fujiyama to be the best with regards to quality and flavor. The atmosphere is subdued and pleasant, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I typically visit for the lunch special, which is amazing, and happens from open-3pm. It includes miso soup or a salad with ginger dressing and 2 rolls for a total of $8.59. I usually pay the extra $1.99 for a third roll, which is definitely worth it. If you like fried sushi, I would recommend the Jaguar. If you like classic sushi, I would recommend the Alaskan or the Washington. I have a vegetarian friend who really likes the sweet potato roll. If I don't go for the lunch special, I almost always get the Rainbow Roll, which has avocado and a variety of fish. The price is a little higher for dinner, when there aren't any specials going on, but it's perfect for date night (or a night of self-indulgence). They also normally have a special roll of the day on the white board when you walk in, and they have a happy hour with buy two get one rolls, which is spectacular. To be honest, I can't recommend this place highly enough. I come here on a weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) basis. Their sushi is fresh and flavorful, and their presentation is spot on.

Nice place. Friendly and attentive staff.the miso was a little on the salty side but the rolls were good. Their lunch special is one of the best for sushi, bento, or teppan.

Fuji Yama is one of those places that's difficult to quantify with only 5 stars available. So let's say it's a 3.5 as it stands now. Future visits, which I would not be adverse to, may swing it one way or the other. So there's a bit of an odd smell when you walk in that to me was immediately just a little disconcerting, but as you become accustomed to it, you don't smell it anymore. The waitress was fantastic, filling my drink as needed and immediately knowing the answers to a couple of questions I asked. She had a very friendly demeanor and made me feel welcome. Today I ordered the Tuna Kobachi appetizer [see photo], which is a bowl of daikon and a little bit of carrot topped with cubes of spicy tuna ($8). It was very good - the tuna was fresh with just the right amount of sriracha. I only wish it was just slightly cheaper, maybe a dollar or so, to make it more attractive than just getting another roll for about the same price. But I was happy I got it. After the Tuna Kobachi, I got a Sappore Roll [see photo], which includes yellowtail, salmon, krab, asparagus, and tobiko ($9). Again, I feel like they just missed this price point because the roll itself was quite small. I'd love to see this roll increase in size. The flavor was quite good -- maybe not a contender for the Orlando Sushi crown, but definitely above average. I just wanted a little more there! I'd also love to see a menu expansion to include a couple more rolls that aren't either fried, covered in sauce, or both. While I admit I'm a fan of eel sauce, some of the photos that other reviewers have posted show rolls drenched in thick, fatty sauces. I try to keep my lunches as healthy as I can, so I'd love to see more rolls like the Sappore roll: nothing tempura, nothing fried, maybe just a little sauce if it's called for. Let the fish do the talking! On a prior occasion, I had tried the chirashi [see photo]. As seems to be the pattern, is was a bit overpriced (about $20 if I remember right) but there was a lot of food there. Good for dinner maybe, but not for lunch. That said, if the Sappore roll I had is an indication of how the others are, I think Fuji Yama is definitely making forward progress, and I hope to see it continue. Nothing would make me happier than to bump my rating up to the next star. PS - When I make sushi rice at home, I try to model it after the sushi rice at Fuji Yama. Better than average sushi rice here, with a hint of sesame flavor to it. Very cool.

So first off I just want to say, Shout out to yelp for letting me check in and getting a free krab rangoo. The staff is super friendly and I really love it when a server asks me if I want my rice soup (etc,) before my main dish. I liked this place more and more as my dinner went on. The krab rangoos were okay, i mean i cant complain they were free! i got a spicy tuna roll. it was delicious. The best part is, they dont charge extra for sauces!! forsure a bonus!! the miso soup was SOOOO delicious. the tofu squares in it were really tiny but the seaweed chunks were huge, it was super salty and i love that. I got white rice as a side, and it felt like it was just re heated. thats my only complaint. but other than that i will forsure be back! :)

I love this place! I usually come here for lunch. They have a good lunch special which is $8.99 for 2 rolls with an option of soup or salad. My favorite is their Alaskan Roll. The sushi is good and affordable.

Fujiyama is just down the street from where I work so I like to come here for their lunch special. You get a choice of two rolls (from a selected list) for like $8 and the third roll for $1.99. It comes with soup or salad as well. I usually get the salad, which is usually only okay. I think the dressing is a bit diluted and could use some more "tang" to it. The fish is fresh and the rolls are all very good. Service is decent and it makes for a yummy lunch that doesn't take too long if you have to get back to the office.

I order sushi for take out from here fairly often. The sushi is always great and the wait time is short. I've dined in once at Fuji Yama and enjoyed that experience as well. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

We typically order take out and enjoy it at home and for the great price for the rolls and the delicious sauce...the one that comes on the mexican roll.

I think its overpriced sushi, and the katsu don was a bit different from what I'm use to. Never went back after the first visit.

I come here a lot during my lunch break at work because of their amazing special! You can get two sushi rolls for $8.99 and then if you want a third, it's $1.99. A total steal. The service is fast and the sushi is pretty good! A nice, cheap sushi lunch. I'll definitely be back!

Ate here for the first time during happy hour today. Spending the rest of the night wondering exactly which roll had the bad fish that made me purge my whole lunch.

Best sushi I had had in the central Florida area. The tuna tataki appetizer is to die for!

Nice place. Friendly and attentive staff.the miso was a little on the salty side but the rolls were good. Their lunch special is one of the best for sushi, bento, or teppan.

(4)Ian P.

(1)Tara E.
(3)Jimmy T.
Sushi rolls was excellent very friendly staff must try the monster and volcano roll the best sushi roll in the UCF area!!! Price is def inexpensive compare to other sushi restaurant around the area will def come back!!!
(4)Amanda C.
(3)Annie G.

(4)Lydia C.
The lunch specials are great! I really love the basic rolls and I love that the size of the rolls are small so you can eat them in one bite! The service was attentive. With my yelp check-in I got a FREE order of crab ragoon too! I will definitely be back for more sushi!
(4)Sidney C.
Exceptional customer service and food. Very good sushi and entrées. Going there for over 3 years and still my favorite in Orlando.

(4)Mark R.

(4)Benjamin N.
Amazing food. The spicy girl roll and the awesome roll is amazing! The service was one of the best and the prices are reasonable. My favorite place to go for sushi!
(5)Ashley H.
I come here a lot during my lunch break at work because of their amazing special! You can get two sushi rolls for $8.99 and then if you want a third, it's $1.99. A total steal. The service is fast and the sushi is pretty good! A nice, cheap sushi lunch. I'll definitely be back!
(4)Dionne C.
(4)Rebecca A.
(2)Adriana R.
Sushi is always fresh, the service is good, they are attentive and friendly every time. The ambiance is very relaxing which makes you not want to leave. Pricing is great and they always have lunch specials. A+
(5)Mitch F.
Wen't here for dinner with two other people. I found the food tasty, very reasonably prices. We ordered so many rolls I can't remember which ones... We all found it tasty and affordable.
(4)Stephanie S.

(4)Boo P.
Friendly, fresh, delicious! Tonight was buy one get one free roll from 1-30 on the menu.
(4)Heather R.

(4)Rebecca G.
(4)Edward G.
(5)Nicole G.
Great, fresh sushi! They have happy hour 7 days a week. Family owned and operated, super nice employees. I won't go anywhere else for sushi! Come once and you'll soon be a regular.
(5)Alisha V.
My boyfriend and I have both been on this sushi kick so when we found this little gem it became a weekly date. We typically order take out and enjoy it at home and for the great price for the rolls and the delicious sauce...the one that comes on the mexican roll. Ugh my mouth is watering now just thinking about it.

This is the home of the best lunch special in Orlando. For $8.99 you can get two sushi rolls and a soup or salad and for $1.99 more you can add a third roll. With the

(4)Bettina T.
Either way, I would probably never eat here again.

average at best not worth the price, wonder if the owners eat the food they serve

I think its overpriced sushi, and the katsu don was a bit different from what I'm use to. Never went back after the first visit.
(2)Mary L.
(4)Stephanie L.
This is the go-to sushi place for my fiancé and I. We usually go once a week and we have never had a disappointing experience here. Service is always fast and friendly, food is amazing and fresh, atmosphere is nice, and the prices are reasonable! What's not to love here? They even have a customer loyalty card, more reason for us to keep coming back! This is our favorite restaurant!
(5)Caesar M.
Great place. The next day I woke up with the bubble guts...reevaluating yet another Asian place...lol
(1)Ryan C.
Ate here for the first time during happy hour today. Spending the rest of the night wondering exactly which roll had the bad fish that made me purge my whole lunch.
(1)Jose H.
Best sushi I had had in the central Florida area. The tuna tataki appetizer is to die for!
(5)Jennifer S.
Best value for a sushi restaurant. I order the sushi and sashimi combo which comes with big thick slices and large sushi pieces. They do not skimp on this at all. Ambience is relaxing enough for a date yet casual enough to eat with friends. Their lunch specials are pretty great too.
(5)Karleen B.
(5)Michael A.
This place is always great for their lunch special. You can get 3 rolls for $10 along with soup or salad. It's the best sushi place in the area for the price. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Good quality sushi and don't forget to check in on yelp for a free crab Rangoon!
(5)Adrian L.
(4)Troy B.
(3)Ang G.
(5)Enit S.
(4)Judith G.
First time we visited it was like heaven! This time the food was average... Service still very good though. We noticed our favorite specialties were slightly different and that changed everything... The Naruto had cheese this time and heaven didn't taste as good as before. Still, we might come back on our next visit to Orlando.
(4)John F.
Great find. Neighborhood sushi location with Friendly service, clean environment, fresh and delicious food. Best of all, reasonable prices!
(4)Yun L.
This is a relatively good Japanese restaurant to this area. The sashimi and sushi combo is really good. the fish is fresh and thick. The Japanese beef curry is not that good. It's a little bit salt. The udon noodle looks quite good and I will definitely try that next time
(4)Dave W.
(5)Alexandra W.
(5)Angela P.
Fujiyama is were I went when I was in school. When I walked in they already knew what I wanted :) they have great deals and overall prices. I was always satisfied with the food and the service, and they have amazing eel rolls, which says a lot to me as I am so picky on my eel rolls.
(5)Kisha G.
Thank you!
(5)T T.
This is one of my all time favorite hibachi places in the area! really love how affordable the lunch special is! so yummy. never had a bad experience there.
(5)Adam C.
(5)Alexandra S.
(5)Tachelle G.
(5)Louis V.
Nice place. Friendly and attentive staff.the miso was a little on the salty side but the rolls were good. Their lunch special is one of the best for sushi, bento, or teppan.
(4)Maleah L.
food is great and atmosphere is very relaxed. servers are nice and immediately greet you when you walk in.
(4)Jeff K.

(3)Gwen M.
I love this place! I usually come here for lunch. They have a good lunch special which is $8.99 for 2 rolls with an option of soup or salad. My favorite is their Alaskan Roll. The sushi is good and affordable.
(4)David H.
(4)Tony B.
I order sushi for take out from here fairly often. The sushi is always great and the wait time is short. I've dined in once at Fuji Yama and enjoyed that experience as well. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
(5)Dionne C.
(4)Rebecca A.

(4)Boo P.
Friendly, fresh, delicious! Tonight was buy one get one free roll from 1-30 on the menu.
(4)Heather R.

(4)Rebecca G.
(4)Edward G.
(5)Katie F.
This is the home of the best lunch special in Orlando. For $8.99 you can get two sushi rolls and a soup or salad and for $1.99 more you can add a third roll. With the

I pass 3 sushi places to come here. Food and service are always 10+ . :)

(4)Bettina T.
(2)T D.
average at best not worth the price, wonder if the owners eat the food they serve
(2)Keith H.

(2)Kathy D.
I think its overpriced sushi, and the katsu don was a bit different from what I'm use to. Never went back after the first visit.
(2)Tara E.
(3)Jimmy T.
Sushi rolls was excellent very friendly staff must try the monster and volcano roll the best sushi roll in the UCF area!!! Price is def inexpensive compare to other sushi restaurant around the area will def come back!!!
(4)Annie G.
Today I was craving sushi, and after reading some reviews decided to try Fuji Yama. I got the Alaskan roll and the spider roll. Both were delicious. Added bonus? Doorstep delivery will bring it right to your front door!
(4)Amanda C.
(3)Ted F.
Rolls are BOGO, which works out quite well. The spicy tuna roll was very good and the miso soup was very hot and tasty. Very good sushi for the price and they have discount for students.
(4)Christine N.
Good quality for what you pay for! My boyfriend and I got the 12 sushi rolls for 50 dollars and it was well worth the money. It was really dead so our service was really good. The rolls were all very delicious. I would go again.
(4)Ian P.
If you eat here order the Rainbow Roll or the Spicy Girl Roll. They are both delicious.
(4)Brian D.

The lunch specials are great! I really love the basic rolls and I love that the size of the rolls are small so you can eat them in one bite! The service was attentive. With my yelp check-in I got a FREE order of crab ragoon too! I will definitely be back for more sushi!

Exceptional customer service and food. Very good sushi and entrées. Going there for over 3 years and still my favorite in Orlando.
(5)Raul R.
Everything was very fresh and tasty! A nice a calm music on the background made the perfect ambient! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
(5)Sandra P.
Very good sushi, close from home and very casual so you don't have to dress up to go. You must try the Haven, it is probably one of the best sushi rolls I ever had.
(4)Mark R.

(5)Enit S.

The udon noodle looks quite good and I will definitely try that next time
(4)Dave W.
(5)Alexandra W.
(5)Angela P.
Fujiyama is were I went when I was in school. When I walked in they already knew what I wanted :) they have great deals and overall prices. I was always satisfied with the food and the service, and they have amazing eel rolls, which says a lot to me as I am so picky on my eel rolls.
(5)Kisha G.
Thank you!
(5)T T.
This is one of my all time favorite hibachi places in the area! really love how affordable the lunch special is! so yummy. never had a bad experience there.
(5)Adam C.
(5)Mary L.

Great place. The next day I woke up with the bubble guts...reevaluating yet another Asian place...lol

Ate here for the first time during happy hour today. Spending the rest of the night wondering exactly which roll had the bad fish that made me purge my whole lunch.
(1)Jose H.
Best sushi I had had in the central Florida area. The tuna tataki appetizer is to die for!
(5)Louis V.
Nice place. Friendly and attentive staff.the miso was a little on the salty side but the rolls were good. Their lunch special is one of the best for sushi, bento, or teppan.
(4)Jennifer S.

(5)Maleah L.
food is great and atmosphere is very relaxed. servers are nice and immediately greet you when you walk in.
(4)Gwen M.
I love this place! I usually come here for lunch. They have a good lunch special which is $8.99 for 2 rolls with an option of soup or salad. My favorite is their Alaskan Roll. The sushi is good and affordable.
(4)David H.
(4)Tony B.
I order sushi for take out from here fairly often. The sushi is always great and the wait time is short. I've dined in once at Fuji Yama and enjoyed that experience as well. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
(5)Jeff K.

(3)Alexandra S.
(5)Tachelle G.
