Diabetics need to monitor the intake of carbohydrates to control the blood sugar levels. However, you need to be careful with the carbohydrates content and sodium intake while dining at Denny's.
Foods to Avoid at Denny's for Diabetics:
Most foods served at Denny's are low in sugar but also high in sodium. Be careful while ordering food at Denny's and keep a check on both sugar and sodium levels if you're a diabetic. Also, skip the Boneless Chicken Wings at Denny's as they can also spike your sugar levels. Besides plain coffee, different types of tea, diet coke, and tomato juice; every other drink available on Denny's menu is a big no for diabetics.
Denny's offers low-sodium options on their menu for people with high blood pressure. You can also order low-sodium foods or specifically ask the chef to add less salt in their orders.

The Denny's on International Drive was a nice experience. We went around noon time and we were seated quickly. Our server was quick coming to our table to take our order. And before I ask for ketchup and syrup the server already placed it on the table. Like she was reading my mind!! I got the you build your own Grand Slamwich and the food was pretty good. And it wasn't greasy at all!! I was kind of surprised!! With this location...I am pretty sure they are used to high traffic & that's why the service is fast!!
There was a time when I really, really liked Denny's - nowadays, not so much. This Denny's was a tale of two days - one good, one not so good - let's start with the not so good... We had two stops on back-to-back days - an evening stop for a quick bite before bed, and then a morning stop (the very next morning) for breakfast. The evening stop was not so good. The manager running the place needs a little help with learning to delegate, rather than trying to do it himself. We waiting way too long for a table (and there were several open - waiting for paying customers.) Anyway, the brightspot of the stop was our waitress - who made up for any ill feelings we had for having to wait for no reason. The next morning was as if the place was transformed into a well oiled machine. We were sat down quickly, our waitress like to gab and joke with us, and the food was hot and good. It was truly the tale of two nights at the same place and what a difference a different manager can make to a place.

Stopped here for dinner after Universal. I'm not really a fan of Denny's in general, but it hit the spot tonight. Stephanie was our server and she was as delightful as can be. I was asking to sub fries for my nachos (don't really like their chips) and she did it with no problem. Food came out hot and super fast. They were a well oiled diner machine tonight. I would ask for Stephanie's section if you come in.

Had breakfast here while I waited for my room to get ready and had an excellent meal for a surprisingly low cost. My waitress Danielle was the best

This was the first stop that my family, boyfriend, and I made in Orlando, Florida. We were driving for 16-18 hours straight and was getting close to our hotel, but we were starving and needed food. This Denny's is quite spacious, clean, and well maintained. Our waitress was alright, not the best, but not the worse either. We each ordered our own entree and shared an appetizer. The appetizer we had was the Zesty Nachos and it was delicious and a big portion size. For an entree I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger which was succulent and juicy. I wished our waitress had asked me how would I like my burger done. I would have preferred medium rare, it felt almost well done. I haven't been to a lot of Denny's, but the ones I have been to, there's really no difference between any of them. In my opinion, they're all the same. No complaints about this Denny's other than the service could be improved just a little bit.

I lived in Orlando for 7 years, and then moved to Texas. This past weekend, I came back to Orlando for a weekend getaway with some friends. When I got to my hotel, I told one of them, "Look, I know all about this town, I know all the places to go. I don't want us getting stuck going to Denny's for breakfast just because it's right across the street." I laid awake all night, unable to sleep. I felt guilty. I felt like a straight-up punkass mark. I needed to get right with God. Fitfully, I spun in place until the rolling wheels on Interstate 4 lulled me to sleep. Next morning, crack of 9:45 AM, I showered and marched across the way to Denny's. I took a seat and immediately ordered coffee, stack of buttermilks, and a side of bacon. ("2 or 4?" "4. Definitely 4." She brought 8.) I ate like a king and left a handsome (but not indecent) tip. You want you some breakfast on International Drive, go down to Denny's. Don't try to pretend you're better than that. Everyone already knows you're not. None of us are.

Great service, the food was amazing. The server, priceless. I honestly felt like I wasn't at a chain wide restaurant, rather at a higher end. I had ordered a avocado bacon with seasonal fries with a hi c fruit punch to drink. Wifi was sufficient with my MacBook Pro and with in fifteen minutes or less I already had my serving on site and to enjoy. That's a huge plus in my book. Afterwards, the company of many other guests were to increase. Luckily, in the group of three we were in and out. Beyond that, the server was mind blowing with a all time charm I couldn't help but seem to have notice like a light in the tunnel. The manager was on site and provided the comfort of the servers and the guest the reassurance of the quality food to be enjoyed very shortly. I kudos to everything and anything at this Denny's and sure to stop by whenever in the neighborhood.

This place has way too many patrons with fanny packs. I know we have tourists, but surely they can find something else in which to secure their belongings. Crowds of people flock here. However, I found the food to be quite tasty for what it is--cheap, starchy, American diner food. The service was just ok, but I actually really enjoyed my meal here.

Burger, onion rings (waitress happily swapped fries for these) and a chocolate milkshake served quickly and with a smile. Boyfriend had chicken and fries and a coke. Tasted good, was huge, a good price and I couldn't finish it all. Total carb overload and just what I needed! Both waitresses that served us were lovely.

I arrived with my family which was 4 adults and 2 toddlers on Sunday at about 9:30am. Asked for 2 highchairs and waited about 5 minutes then asked again and the waitress told me to stop asking for it and continued to argue with me about the placement of the highchairs which were yet to arrive. The waitress who was a short older latin lady was very rude to my family and kids and it really made me feel very un welcomed in the restaurant. I told her we did not want to stay and all she said back was "bye bye go home". I told the manager on my way out who was busy manning the cash registers and the waitress came very fast to talk with him. She did have time to come defend herself with the manager but no time to take care of my family. We ended up at the Ihop which is 1.5 blocks aways and treated like we should be treated. I would suggest to everyone to stay away from this particular Denny's location.

The waitress and manager are very very nice. It feels like an old Denny's. It looks like an old Denny's. It smells like an old Denny's. The menus were greasy. hey, it's a Denny's! The food was decent, nothing to complain about at all, but marginal at best and very edible. Some people say that only senior citizens eat at Denny's. Not true when I ate there! There were all young families who came to eat and didn't care about fancy! In fact the only senior citizens I saw were all of the waiters and the manager and me... In fact, I kept finding myself wondering when the waitress was going to hand me a bingo card!!!

I went to this Denny's like I do most weekends to catch up with my mom for breakfast. I have to say that the manager Bill Skiff was awful. He was rude, condescending and treated us and his hostess Clara like we were annoying to him. I really did not like this. As a manager of customer service I would not want him on my staff. Ever. Other than that this Denny's is good.

My family had breakfast here during our visit to Orlando. I thought the food was good. The portions were big. My son and I both had leftover, but we couldn't take the leftover back to our hotel. If your appetite is not that big, I recommend sharing your meals. Service was good and the food arrives quickly.

Very poor management. Fortunately we had a dominant waitress that seemed to be keeping the whole place in line. Our order kept getting interrupted as she had to tell people how to do their job. But, she got all our orders right, and the food was good (from a Denny's quality standpoint). Fine for a quick meal on vacation.

If I could give this a zero I would. I arrived at this Denny's at 9pm on Sunday. It didn't look busy inside, but we sure had to wait for our food. It took about 5 minutes to get our water. I ordered the new Baja Moons Over my Hammy sandwich and strawberry pancake puppies. My boyfriend ordered the quesadilla and build your own chicken wraps. After about 10 minutes I was informed they didn't have the mix for my pancake puppies, but the rest of our food was ready. Then another 10 minutes later only the quesadilla was brought to our table. 10 more minutes passed and finally the rest of our food was brought. I looked at my sandwich and noticed two things were wrong 1) the avocado was missing (mind you I LOVE avocado) 2) the wrong type of bread was used. It looked like the regular Moons over my Hammy instead of the Baja. My boyfriend'a quesadilla was good, but his wraps barely had 3 tiny pieces of lettuce and instead of chicken strips it was a big piece of chicken. Our waiter was also the hostess of the night so he was running around and very busy. I informed him that the avocado was missing, but didn't bother with the bread. I didn't want to wait another 25 minutes for food. This Denny's was understaffed and not well organized. The food was a let down and the staff is lucky I didn't say anything to the manager that charged my meal. The manager also verbally asked if I was leaving a tip and how much, instead of having me fill out the receipt. Personally, I rather not announce my tip to everyone in the waiting area. If you have the option try another Denny's - there's 4 other restaurants on International Drive and an IHOP nearby!
