There's always a debate amongst friends concerning who's purveying the best pizza in Orlando. Without hesitation, I ALWAYS answer with Midnite Pizza. So undeniably delicious. I've been going here for my pizza fix for the last 11 years and they've never disappointed. Their crust is golden crispy on the outside. Light, airy, warm and slightly chewy on the inside. In addition to their perfectly cooked crust, my theory on what distances them from the rest is their cheese. I'm not sure if they use added butter, or if they're simply generous with quality mozzarella. No matter what toppings you choose, no matter what type of slice you go with, there's always this slightly sharp, buttery, gooey deliciousness that goes with each bite. I can't help but get 2 slices each time I visit. While I'm out gallivanting with friends late into the night at various bars, going to Midnite Pizza is mandatory at the end of the night. So when I get a text or phone call from friends wanting me to join them Downtown, but I'm not feeling up to it, they always remind me of our Midnite Pizza night cap. Done deal, let's go! Although, all of their pies are to die for, one of my personal favorites is the Hawaiian w/ Ricotta. When you take a bite, the sweet tang of the pineapple bursts into your mouth. Then when the sweet juice mixes with the creamy, slighty tangy Ricotta and ham set in buttery, gooey cheese? GAME OVER. That's called a harmonious contrast of flavor folks. Delicately sweet and lightly savory. Most times I'll get my 2nd favorite slice along with the Hawaiian. Spinach, chopped tomato and Ricotta on top of their cheesy goodness. Just writing about their pizza and looking at the picture of these 2 slices is creating intense cravings! Argh! For the most part, the crew is always very courteous and efficient. Unless of course, you catch them dealing with drunk after obnoxious drunk. If you visit Midnight Pizza late in the evening, you may be lucky enough to meet their bus woman, Connie. She's an older woman with a sweet fanny pack filled with an assortment of candies. She'll come by and make sure you're not missing any utensils, drinks, napkins, parmesan/garlic/basil; then drop a small handful of candies on your table. Cha-ching! I've only known them to be open for lunch service and then open back up in the evening, around 7-8pm, and late into the night. Not sure if they're open Monday evenings though.

We came straight downtown from shopping and we needed some food before pounding drinks with friends so we came to Dan's Sandwich Shoppe & Midnite Pizza. Dick City is full of mediocre pizza joints but this one was solid. We got a couple of slices each and it hit the spot. They serve beer here so we had a couple of those too. We won't be going out of our way to come back but we are fan's of this place and would recommend it if you need some fuel before hitting the bars.

Midnite Pizza is my most favorite pizza place downtown. It's always quick and made to perfection. Even when the line is out the door, the service doesn't falter and neither does the quality of the pizza. My slice of choice is the buffalo chicken, but I have also tried their meat lovers and white pizza slices. Always crispy and piping hot! Nothing but love for Midnite and their fabulous pies!

If you like New York style pizza, you will like the pizza here. Big slices, ordered individually. Fantastic toppings. Also, open late enough to go to after the bars, which is great.

I'm being generous here with 2 stars. $4 for slice of pizza I couldn't finish cuz so soggy and tasteless. I picked the pepperoni off to eat and avoided the breading part.

Let's be honest. The only reason you are going here is because it is late. You are out drinking and now you are hungry. The location in convenient. The prices are reasonable and the pizza is decent. It is not the best pizza I've ever eaten, but far from the worst. I love NY style pizza which this is. They do reheat it in the oven, but at 2am, I'm not complaining. Get a seat by the window and enjoy watching people drunker than you stumble down the sidewalk.

Pizza is my favorite food and this place is pretty good. They serve New York style pizza that's heated to order. The wait is never that long and I always enjoy the food.

My brother and I went with a friend here last Saturday before a show at the Social. We were taken back by the prices $4.50 for a slice!!! I had a plain cheese slice for $3 and it was underwhelming. The girl behind the counter told me they did not have rolls on the weekend. We were the only people in the restaurant so service was speedy. The slice was not that big for the money I paid. Eh, not impressed. CONS: Prices too high PROS: 50 cent cup of water

Your typical downtown midnight pizza joint. You know what? They were more than typical, they were very very good. Albeit I came after a long weekend night downtown, I thought the pizza was excellent. FYI- I am from Jersey, I know what pizza is. They have very good pizza. Big, NY style slices. I got a slice with ricotta, garlic, and tomato and it was perfect. Stop by Dan's for a delicious and satisfying way to end your downtown blitz.

As the name implies this little food joint is great for a late night bite when you've tired of downing the drinks and want to down some pizza instead. Its larger than its nemesis Gino's down the street and has a large dining area with plenty of seating for dancing feet. As the name also implies there is more to munch here than just pizza, sandwiches and the like are also represented on the menu for those wanting something more hearty than a slice. I've tired the cheese steak with fries and its really great, this was on a night when I had sipped but one beer so my head was not foggy when deciding how much I enjoyed this gooey goodness. The pizza is also delicious of course, hard to go wrong with a giant slice with toppings of your choice. And the prices here are lower than Gino's so it makes sense to head a bit farther east on Orange to Midnite when in the mood for a late night bite or even a quick downtown lunch.

Stopped in for a slice as I wandered around downtown last night. Even on a quiet Wednesday night, they had a great selection available, and the pizza was tip-top. $5 a (large) slice, but that's downtown for you. Clean, well lit, and with a good-sized dining room right on Orange Ave. In short, an awesome refueling stop for a night's carousing.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
