after a 10 hour flight and at the suggestion of the rental lady from alamo...we really were looking forward to eating some good old fashioned american breakfast but were sorely disappointed. the atmosphere was certainly homely. you could smell the aroma of pine and mulberry from the country store next door. however, the food was just un-memorable. these guys are suppose to be known for their pancakes and syrup right?...well their pancakes were dry, bacon wasn't crispy, the syrup was tasteless, and their muffin was bland. service was great though! need a lot of help w/ the food. ambiance was okay. altogether..very blah!

For a chain restaurant, Cracker Barrel never disappoints. I've never had a bad breakfast and this location is no exception. The wait staff are very attentive and you can be in and out in less than an hour. If your are looking for a filling breakfast with friendly service, look no further.

This Cracker Barrel lived up to the expectations I have for this chain restaurant. Cute country store with fun, retro items. Food was also how I expected it to be...okay chain quality that you sometimes get in the mood for. Our waitress was very nice and kept our drinks refilled several times without asking and she kept checking in with us to see how we were doing. Very sweet lady.

generous helpings (especially with breakfast items) in a friendly, southern hospitality environment. "famous" coffee was adequate (definitely didn't knock my socks off - tasted similar to slightly below 7-11 coffee) and a friend didn't enjoy the raspberry iced tea - too syrupy and artificial-tasting - however i enjoyed my tasty grilled cat fish sandwich (perfectly seasoned). don't like that you have to walk up to the register - that's shared with the store - to pay.

The Saturday chicken n' rice dinner is what I ordered with the mac and cheese and the coleslaw as my sides from this country style restaurant. Pieces of chicken came out super tender drenched with a mushroom gravy atop a bed of long grain rice. The sides were generous portions... coleslaw was minced to a finer consistency while the mac and cheese was rich and creamy. All for $8.99! Oh, but my coffee wasn't all that tasty. Our waiter was very personable... great service! I'm debating if I should return but there are so many other restaurants in the area for me to try before heading back to California!

I had to stop in and rate this place. I can't believe it has 4 stars! Not only is it always so ridiculously freezing in there that even with a jacket and coffee I'm uncomfortable, but their management is mediocre, their food is all cooked from frozen, and it is loud. In addition, their wait staff all looks overworked and stressed out. There are so many good, cheap, home-style restaurants around town (All American Cafe, Jack and Mary's, Julie's Waterfront, Cecil's Barbeque) why waste it with a national chain restaurant that hardly cooks its food on location?

Our first Cracker Barrel visit was at this location. Fantastic food just like mom's cookin' and our waitress was so friendly and patient. We came back for Thanksgiving dinner!

This was my first time ever eating at cracker barrel. I came in on Thanksgiving day late in the afternoon and this place was packed! Meanwhile I waited I So I did a little shopping in their store. They have some of the cutest things especially for christmas ornaments and for good prices. I even bought some christmas gifts. The Thanksgiving meal included everything you would normally eat in one plate. Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry and free drink and apple pie for just $9!! The food was really good and their raspberry tea is so good!! I can't wait to co e here again!!

Our 1st experience at this chain was very good - yummy comfort food, quick service, friendly servers, cheap prices, and a convenient location. The food isn't necessarily the healthiest, but it's to be expected from southern food. The mac & cheese was DELICIOUS.

they were really good and fast seating the 14 of us. this is good southern cooking, they give you large sized meal for a good price. We were there for breakfast and we got 2 huge plates of biscuit and gravy for free. our food got there quick and there were, and quick with the coffee refills. i bought a Florida gaiters hat there and its funny there is a prayer for good luck on the inside of it

Oh Cracker Barrel! How I love you! Your breakfast all day and speedy, super service saved me from a creeping hangover! Nothing can cure it more than your iced tea, two eggs over easy, extra crispy bacon, grits and biscuits with honey! I feel so much better thanks to you!

This places offers only a few things in the menu that is worth trying specially the chicken, but the service is horrible and the management seems to be poor and badly trained so are there employees . Waiting takes for ever and its not worth it specially at the one in Altamonte Springs.

What, no one's reviewed Cracker Barrel? As the name implies, this place is what it says. I've only seen them in the South, and they do Southern food cheap and good. I had the biscuits and gravy this time which seemed a lot smaller than the last time I had them but were good nonetheless. The best part though was the dessert. They have this seasonal dessert called a double fudge coke cake or something like that and it has Coca-Cola in it in addition to the loads of fudge and chocolate. It's warm and comes with ice cream on the side and was amazing! Definitely get that if it's on the menu!

I'm not much of a old country store type of girl, but I received a gift card for this restaurant so I went. The service was fast and friendly and the food was really good. I might go again in the future.

You really can't go wrong eating "good ole" southern style cooking at Cracker Barrel, and this location did not disappoint. You also can't go wrong with these prices. Holy moly, what a deal! Our server was a hoot, too... lots of fun

  • Shellie D.

I like Cracker Barrel because the food taste like they have a little old lady in the kitchen cooking everything... like your grandmother would make it. The prices are reasonable and the food taste homemade.

It's a Cracker Barrel. What were you expecting? It's done up like the old west or old south, has the funky jumping piece triangle game, our waiter was pretty awesome, knew the menu, the tricks of the game, and how to keep us entertained... and the food, for what it is, is pretty good. Pancakes, sourdough french toast, bacon... mmmm. Even the bacon was better than expected (to be fair, I had very low expectations coming in!).

It's my second time in the Cracker Barrel restaurants, the first one was in North Carolina and have to say it didn't disappoint me. Love my breakfast and the service. Also, like that I can buy any left souvenir I need to buy prior my trip.

I had never been to Florida but my friend described this place as a Southern-style Applebees. I suppose that's what it most resembles to something we have here on the West Coast. Anyways, they have this cool old-timey country store in front. I saw smores candy the size of Hershey kiss. We were seated right away and were immediately intrigued by the peg- triangular board game on the table. It's like checkers with golf tees and you have to jump the tees to get rid of them. The point of the game was to leave one peg on the board. We kept leaving like 3 or 4 tees and the game called us dumb. Just couldn't figure it out during lunch. Service was so-so. We were ready to order but just cause we had a couple questions, our waitress said she would be right back and didn't come back for 5 minutes. Grrr. Anyways I ended up getting the sampler plate that came with chicken and dumplings, the sugar ham and meatloaf. It seemed like the dumplings was their signature dish and it was my favorite of the three. Also we got a choice of 3 side dishes. I got the sweet potato casserole (sooo sooo good), hash brown casserole, and the sweet baby carrots. And we had some cornbread and biscuits to start. All this food for about $10 - what a deal! I had to really really try but I managed to finish all my food. My companions on the other hand, couldn't. One got the same sampler, one got the chicken and dumplings dinner, and the other had the veggie plate where you can choose 4 items off the side dishes list. We should've just shared our food. Definitely a cute kitchey place that has good atmosphere and I would come back if I was ever in the area again for some good home-cookin'.

Biscuits and gravy is hard to find in MA. And served with a side of potato casserole? huh! I'm in heaven. Thanks for being right next to the airport. When I have a late flight, I'm sure to stop at Cracker Barrel for some biscuits and gravy.

I do like a bit of Southern cooking from time to time. I can't eat it very often because it will go right to my waistline. Suggesting to come here always gets a big thumbs up from the family. One very nice feature about this location, it is not on an interstate exit like most of them. Therefore, it is not as insanely crowded as Cracker barrels usually are , with people waiting on the front porch in rocking chairs for tables.

Ah, what's not to love about Cracker Barrel? There's the cute rocking chairs, the country store and of course the breakfast! We came here this past weekend to nurse a couple of hangovers and it really hit the spot. I usually order two eggs with various sides. I love their hashbrown casserole but their ham is usually hit or miss so I'd skip it next time. This place is really busy on the weekends and seems to attract a demanding clientele so be patient and give some love to the wait staff because they work super hard!

Chicken and dumplin's with fried okra and extra dumplins as my sides. is my fave entree with the raspberry lemonade. french toast with apple glaze on top is my breakfast of choice. My so digs into the french toast as well when I order it. Got him addicted to the french toast entree.

This was my first visit to a Cracker Barrel, and it won't be my last. This is not haute cuisine; you won't find delicate concoctions of herbs mixed into trendy salads or omelets made with gruyere and truffles. But what they do, for a chain restaurant, they do very well: stick to yer ribs, down-home southern comfort food. This is the stuff that makes you wonder how in thee pea-pickin' WORLD Grandma lived to be ninety-eight. I'm a child of Appalachia. I was raised in an area where pork grease was the standard lubricant (and spread - Grandma buttered her bread with it) and pork gravy was a multi-purpose condiment. If your veggies had gone limp in the pot, they were probably just getting started cooking. With pork. The details: I had a combo plate that included beans, turnip greens, mashed potatoes and fried okra, served with a biscuit and cornbread... and of course, a glass of sweet tea. The only disappointment was the biscuit (not good). The rest of it was the stuff of my childhood. (Predictably, the stuff of my childhood later had this pan-seared ahi girl feeling like I'd eaten a cubic foot of lard... but it was worth it. :) ) Food aside, the CB offers ultra-friendly service (a bit TOO friendly at times... attentive doesn't begin to cover it!), a fun atmosphere - like a big ol' rustic country cabin, walls papered in all manner of memorabilia, and that AMAZING store that would surely cause anyone raised in middle America to wax nostalgic, with it's gigantic inventory of every old-school candy under the sun as well as toys and dvds of old TV series and films. I'm woman enough to admit it: the place made me a little misty. Now, if you still live in the south, the Cracker Barrel may be to you nothing more than a southern-fried Denny's. You're still eating in someone's southern kitchen and feasting at little pieces of collard green heaven known only to locals. For the rest of us, this piece of gastronomic nostalgia is enough to make us get out our church fans (you know... the ones printed with Bible scenes), bow our heads, and say a word of thanks.

Cracker Barrel near Orlando International Airport is an excellent restaurant! It's good "home cookin" at great prices. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can always find something that reminds you of the kind of food your mom made for you as a kid. Service is usually great, food is delivered quickly, and you're on your way in a flash.

The Good News: The waitress, Toni, was a real treat after a 5 hour fight, she brought us biscuts with Jam n' Apples when she heard this was our first experience. The Buttermilk Pancakes with fresh fruit was heavenly, great pancakes. The biscuts were yummy. It was fun, and I was very impressed. Toni was always attentive, the coffee was always warm and filled. It felt good to know 30 minutes after landing in Orlando, that I could relax and enjoy the rest of my day/vacation.

WOW... slowest location I have ever been to... and I've been to a lot of different locations throughout the country. 15-20 mins for an order... ridiculous! food was good as always but had to knock it down a couple of stars for the long wait lol

I go here for one reason: BISCUITS! They are truly heavenly. Soft, fresh-baked, and begging to be slathered in apple butter. I am seriously drooling just thinking of it. Oh wait, there are TWO reasons why I go to Cracker Barrel. HASH BROWN CASSEROLE! Holy crap, this stuff is really good. I remember back in the day, Perkins used to also offer this breakfast delight. Once they pulled that from their menu, I became a frequent visitor of the only other place that has it. Another perk of Cracker Barrel - Super cheap breakfast. I normally order one of their combo platters (I don't think they're called "combos"), that include a few of their popular breakfast items at a small price. I am a fan of the plate that has hash brown casserole, biscuits and eggs. It costs less than 5 bucks. And it is PLENTY of food, trust me. Those hash browns really stick to the ribs... If you're looking for a larger offering, try the Uncle Hershel's Favorite (and loosen your belt...) - Two Eggs, Grits, Sawmill Gravy, Biscuits, Fried Apples or Hash brown Casserole and a choice of meat (ham, pork chop, or fried chicken). Yeah, prepare to start your day in a food coma. This whole meal will set you back about 6 bucks or so. Fabulous! As far as service goes, it's usually pretty good. Don't expect high-class dining here kids. But what you will get is quality, Southern cooking and hospitality! Oh and as a side note... I love the little store when you enter. They have GREAT gift ideas!

Moved from California ((no Cracker Barrels because they don't like butter in CA)) to Florida.... first thing on the TO DO list? Go to Cracker Barrel (that's no joke, folks). We came for breakfast, my first breakfast at Cracker Barrel (I've been for dinner at a different location). This place was hopping, but we were seated and our server was just the nicest lady (I think her name might have been Toni, it was hard to see, the embroidery on her apron was frayed a bit making it difficult to read). She kept checking in on us, asking "How is my family doing?" Omigosh!!! I LOVE it!!! Your family is doing great!!! We ordered all the breakfast staples.... pancakes, country fried steak, biscuits, gravy, grits, sausage... and it was all sooooooo good. This might be one of the best country fried steaks I've ever eaten. The grits were delish (well, the 2 bites of them I got before my son stole the bowl away from me), the gravy was yummy, the biscuits deserve poems written about them, the fried apples are still my favorite (I could eat them all day long). I tried my sons pancakes and felt instance remorse at not ordering some for myself. Fluffy in the middle, thin with that slight crunch on the outer edge. They were served with the cutest little bottles of REAL maple syrup. ((Why do you have to hate on Cracker Barrel, California.... you guys are missing out on all the CB goodness!!)) So happy to be in Florida, where I can eat at Cracker Barrel all I want. Sure, I may no longer be able to fit out of my front door in 2 years, which brings me to my suggestion to the CB Corp.... maybe take out the chairs and replace with treadmills. No? Ok, it was just a thought. No matter.... I shall continue to visit (although, I may have to learn to pace myself a bit because it did just occur to me that if I can't fit out of the front door, I won't be able to fit into the Cracker Barrel, so that could be a problem). I feel a gym membership in my near future. Keep up the great work and a big tongues out to California, denier of the Cracker Barrel to it's poor butter deprived citizens. LOL

CB is all right with me. I'm not a breakfast person. So knowing that they serve catfish at that time means I always have something to enjoy. The servers are friendly and very accommodating. The store is fun to poke around in too.

Geez I'm going to have to start a list to keep track of all these Cracker Barrel Restaurants being they are basically all clones it can get confusing. I too frequent this location out of convenience being it's the best option when catching an early flight out of MCO. Consistent is the best description, they all look alike, the country stores, the food quality, the decor, the servers, etc, etc, etc, etc. Controlling the servers is a requirement or they will bring you a little of everything in the kitchen and tell you about their life. Two eggs over medium - smoked sausage patties - crispy bacon - grits - grilled sourdough bread - hot coffee with cream and my check please - I promise to tip. Oh by the way I am awesome at the wooden peg game lol

A solid 3 stars for a decent breakfast with great service and the kitchy-est store around. I love Cracker Barrel for what it is (country-style breakfast, funny/silly gifts, lots of warm southern smiles), but also recognize what it isn't (a local option, healthy, overly authentic). I've been to this one a few times when friends have had a hankering for the nostalgia and cheap breakfast. Who hasn't gotten off the highway on a long family trip and played a round of that triangle wood with pegs table game? What I like: - The service is always exceptional. I have friends with particular tastes and allergies and the servers are always on their A-game. - The Christmas decorations, sweaters, and insane(let hilarious) decorations you find in the front shop. In early September. When it's still 90 degrees outside. This isn't a complaint- I find it pretty amusing! - It's huge and that means the tables have some space and you don't feel on top of each other. - The scrambled eggs (fluffy and moist), and pancakes. Seriously. Those pancakes are legit. - The fall flavors menu additions. This basic b**** likes her seasonal flavors. What I don't love: - The French toast was disappointing. It just looked and tasted bland and wasn't a hit this time. - The overwhelming push towards purchasing something makes if feel pretty inauthentic. I like the store but even the rocking chairs inside the restaurant portion of the property all have big tags advertising them for purchase. We've already passed a line of them in the front, all with price tags, and this just feels like overkill. (Which I realize is a ridiculous complaint because the whole point of CB seems to be overkill...) Overall, I wouldn't necessarily pick CB over a more local option, but am down to go if others want to. This makes is a solid 3- which is an A-OK!

I have never had a Southern Breakfast like this before visiting this Cracker Barrel (I am from Seattle, if that helps!) So when I had a long layover in Orlando, we jumped a cab to a this Cracker Barrel for breakfast, bright and early on a Sunday morning. The lady offered us coffee even before we sat down. After flying all night and a huge day ahead, it was just plain glorious and the service was quick to refill. So I never had anything like what they offered, so we asked lots of questions and ordered all kinds of things. The sweetheart helping us had worked here for years and was absolutely stellar at answering everything helpfully. I ordered and/or tasted: -biscuits and gravy -fried apples -grits -turkey sausage -fried eggs -hashbrown casserole (yum!) ~*-PANCAKES*~ ---those were my favorite, can you tell?! Nice and light and flavorful..makes me think of those from the Original Pancake House. Nom. Overall, terrific service, pancakes, and overall a really lovely way to try a big ol Southern breakfast feast!

This is a great place if you're craving carbs and yummy southern breakfast and foods. We didnt have to wait long but we were only a party of 2...i saw larger parties had a but of waiting to do ...but you can enjoy a game of checkers in a rocking chair. I ordered the grandpas country breakfast (my guilty indulgence) and it consists of country fried steak with gravy, eggs, grits, hash brown casserole / fried apples and biscuits with more gravy! All was delicious definitely worth the $9!!

While eating at Cracker Barrel I had this thought, "This is why you're fat. This is why America is fat." I've heard about Cracker Barrel for years, but I didn't get my first Cracker Barrel experience until my husband and I made a trip to Orlando and decided to eat there. When I expressed an interest in eating at Cracker Barrel, he raised his eyebrows and shrugged as if to say, "It's your heart attack and high blood pressure condition (aka funeral)." As two Californians who often see vegan this, vegetarian that, gluten-free this, and organic that, Cracker Barrel sort of shocked me. 1. They offer a full breakfast menu (breakfast served all day) and a full dinner menu. 2. Both menus are ladened with southern specialties (grits, okra, chicken livers, chicken and dumplings, etc.) 3. The entrees come with THREE VEGETABLES. Well, when I saw that, I thought, "Oh! Cool! I won't feel too bad about eating breaded chicken." Imagine my surprise when I saw fried apples, mac n cheese, and MASHED POTATOES as vegetables. I died laughing. To their credit, the actual title of the section said Vegetables 'n Sides, but seriously. There were, like, two vegetables on the menu that were not sugared, battered, and/or fried. 4. When we placed the order, we also were given an option for biscuits and...cornbread (I think). 5. When the food came, I sat in shock. I had enough food to share with three people. The food was mediocre at best; I think Cracker Barrel is one of those establishments you eat at as a kid, and you grow up thinking it's amazing. The food is on par with any Denny's or Applebee's--there's just a ton of it, and I think that's why people go crazy for Cracker Barrel. Our server, Nicole, was super sweet and attentive. Five stars for her! After I consumed enough food for The Duggars, I still wanted to try Cracker Barrel's Coca Cola cake. Nicole was sweet enough to put two massive slices in a to-go container for us. My husband and I waddled around the Cracker Barrel store for 15 minutes (I noticed the women's clothing went up to size XXXL), made a few purchases, and left the store. On the way back to our hotel we sat in silence as we considered our eating sins and the obesity rates in America. I silently vowed to not do this to my body again. We got back to our hotel, looked at each other with sad eyes, and proceeded to eat the thick, fudgey Coca Cola cake. YOLO.

I've visited this Cracker Barrel location before as a last meal heading back to Dallas. The experiences have been mixed, but this review reflects this particular visit. Wait time was just a few minutes. We were sat and promptly met our waitress who took our drink orders (Tea) and came back quickly with them. She was very exacting with taking our order. I ordered the Good Morning breakfast from the Healthy section of the menu. Glad to see Cracker Barrel is doing that given more people are tracking calories. I got it with the Egg Beaters, Turkey Sausage, Hash Brown Casserole, and fruit cup weighing in at 375 calories. Impressed. The food came out in less than 10 minutes...very surprised. The eggs were doing perfectly and not dry...the turkey sausage had a great flavor and were juicy. The hash brown casserole tasted fresh with a good balance of a cheese and onion flavor. Yum. The fruit cup....yes, that think you're not sure of when eating at a chain restaurant. It was a delight. The pineapples tasted like they were picked right off the tree. Bonus star for the freshness or this would be a 3. Bottom Line: Cracker Barrel is a hit and miss and this time was a hit. Prompt service, freshly cooked food at 2pm, and fresh fruit make this a great experience for this establishment. I'll be back.

I have never been to a Cracker Barrel until my trip to Universal for my Harry Potter adventure. This place is basically a food coma waiting to happen, which is why I loved it. Southern. Food. NOMZ. There is nothing even remotely close to this back home. Yeah, we have Brenda's, but Cracker Barrel has the advantage of 1) super tasty food, 2) decent prices, and 3) enormous, southern-sized portions. Realistically, I probably should have just shared a platter with my boyfriend. In reality, I ordered my own and realized, "Huh. Okay. This is a lot of food. I should probably not do a dumb thing and eat all of it or I will probably end up needing to go to the hospital." But BISCUITS! GRAVY! CHICKEN FRIED STEAK! FRIED APPLES! HASHBROWN CASSEROLES! Where can you go wrong? Pretty much nowhere. Also, our server was the kindest person on the planet, I'm convinced of it. He was able to juggle a bunch of tables at once and he was still able to help everyone with a smile. There is also a game on the table that challenged my brain while we waited. The only thing I regret was not leaving enough room to try that crazy-sounding Coca-Cola cake. Oh yes. I went in here knowing the possible consequences, but the food and service was so excellent, I can tell you that I at least did it on purpose. And then I bought a bunch of candy on the way out, because why not?

I'm not going to lie, my lunch today was awesome! I so not have low standards, I am such a foodie it's crazy. My server was efficient, punctual and on point. She suggested items for my son, pointing to each item and turning the page for him. My son wants me to rate this meal an eleven but he said a 5 will have to do. Give it a try, and please if you don't like something, tell someone before you leave so it can be rectified.

It's Cracker Barrel but I think there needs to be a name change Uhhm like "white barrel " don't they know cracker is an offensive name to a large group of People. Service was quick. Food was typical. I love their biscuits tho!! Just skip the rest of the menu. Next on my list is the chicken and dumplings! They rock! Skip the salads it's the south at any Cracker Barrel and you could end up with that slimy mess so it's hit and miss. It was a miss here slimy frozen lettuce. :/

Extremely long wait on a Saturday morning, which is understandable. Food was just ok once we got it, was not piping hot as one would expect if fresh. Two diners had ordered two lalrge breakfast meals. 5 different plates were brought out by a runner with no explanation as to what plate belonged with what meal. I ordered the Double meat breakfast and was charged more for the special Double Meat breakfast with Pancakes (pancaked arrived and were not touched, as I didn't order them). Somehow my side of ham was added as an additional $5.49.. for ONE small slice of ham?! Between those two things my meal cost almost $10 more than I expected. After waiting so long for food we had to quickly pay and run to get back to the airport. Checkout was easy at least but I guess they knew better than to ask how the meal was.

Great spot for breakfast. The staff is very friendly for a Cracker Barrel. Food is good and cheap. There is a very odd urine smell near the hostess stand that is gross, nothing else to complain about.

it has been while since I have been to a Cracker Barrel. Things haven't change much except my Sunrise sampler seems to have shrunk. This location is near the airport which made it a good choice for the prior to United diet flight. The service was good as usual and we didn't even have to wait. My old standby was a kind of a letdown. Although the price looked familiar the size of items has shrunken. I would prefer they charge more and keep the goodies the same size. The hash brown casserole is one of my favorites in the Sunrise sampler along with the sweet country ham. The biscuits were good but the gravy was too floury and the grease used to make it must have been old. But the taste of my normal favorites was very good. The wife had the trout special which she devoured as if I was going to steal it way from her. She seemed to by having a moment as she enjoyed very bite of the fish. So despite the few negatives the experience was still OK. The country store theme always brings me back to my youth. Looking forward to my next Sunrise Sampler at another location.

This location is conveniently located to the Orlando International Airport and I come here sometimes before/after my flight. They have good southern breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I personally like their breakfast menu which is served 24 hours a day. My staple is the country morning breakfast - grits, poached eggs, and biscuits. Biscuits are always fresh. I like how I can get poached as an option for eggs. The service can be hit or miss sometimes depending on how busy the place is, but I haven't had to wait long to get seated. Just make take some time to get any extra items you requested (ie napkins, syrup, etc).

Reminds me of Denny's but smaller portion food and more southern food stuff. i ordered Sugar Cured Ham which came with two sides of my choice: coleslaw and mac n cheese. I also got to choose biscuit or corn bread; i opted for biscuit. When my dish came out, i was like what. the. heck.?! small piece of ham, reminded me of canadian ham (that u get for breakfast or on egg benedict) but poorer quality, one small dish of coleslaw and a ladle spoon full of mac n cheese. That was it. This was for $8. it sounded a great deal at first because our waiter kept asking me what choices I want and what bread I want. But when all the food came out, it was just meh. I was quite disappointed. Food wasn't bad tasting, but it was great either. Everything was just average. Service was great though, our waiter was really friendly and outgoing

Its early in the morning and Ive got time to kill before a flight to Chicago. Coffee and eggs sound nice. They do breakfast well here. I dig the old school country vibe. Today I ordered eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and grits. All were tasty but the grits were too watery. I like grits thick. The coffee too was very good. I used to pick up vadalia onion dip here but it doesn't look like they carry it anymore. Its been I while so I wont hold it against them.

My favorite place for breakfast in FL or wherever I can find one. Everything is home cooked and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Service is prompt and friendly. The country store keeps you busy while waiting for a table. Never a long wait. Every time I come down, stop here multiple times.

We stopped in and grab some grub with some of my in-laws before heading back home yesterday. They serve breakfast all the time, so it's good for those who want it for dinner. I stuck with lunch and got the meatloaf with macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cinnamon apples. I heart Southern homestyle cooking and that's exactly what it was. Anybody that leaves hungry is crazy because the portions are huge and it's worth the price. The waitress and staff was friendly and attentive. The gift shop is always a cute one to explore with the knick knacks that are available for purchase. Just the good ole' Cracker Barrel like I have always known it.

This place is great. They had me at rocking chairs in the front porch. Have only been here for dinner a few times. Each time the people are attentive and friendly. The manager comes over and makes sure we are well taken care of. The food is delicious and fresh. My kids love it here. Very family friendly. We love all the crap they sell too. Old time candy and little toys. I know it's a chain and it's cheesy but I love it. What can I say, the formula works.

Great service! We knew what to expect for food, we always order the same thing. Carlos, our server, was very efficient and organized - my coffee never got cold : ) he did a wonderful job serving us and the rest of his tables. He is super welcoming and friendly. He was fast pace but never rushed us and we never felt rushed it was more like a contagious high energy fast. This is a busy location, the manager at the host stand did phenomenal with guiding and keeping the front clear while answering probably 100 people wondering "how much longer til we are seated" questions. This was by far best Cracker Barrell experience - oh and btw the lady in the front did a beautiful job wrapping some gifts for us...she even entertained our kids with showing them how the bows were made. Great great great job everyone.

The service was good. The menu could be a little better to me. But those biscuits are great!! Picked up a few souvenir items from the store while we waited to be seated. All in all,it was ok experience.

If youve ever flown across the country from Southern California and havent slept for 24 hours and are tired and hungry at 6am..the perfect place to start off that morning with a great meal is the Cracker Barrel. Ive never been to one before but I always wanted to try one. My gf and I started our morning here before we went off to Universal Studios and the food here is actually pretty good. I had two sausage biscuit sandwiches and the biscuits were fresh and delicious. If Im ever near a Cracker Barrel again Ill definitely come in for another meal.

Maybe if I hadn't gone by myself to eat I would have gotten better service. But I just flew in to Orlando and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Never been to a Cracker Barrel. I was sat at a dirty table. My waitress was less than personable. All she wanted was to get me in and out. And she did. I wasn't there for even 20 mins. The oven fried chicken was bland. The Mac'n cheese was very good. I should of just got an order of that. The girls in the store were very nice! One even let me charge my phone before I walked back to my hotel. Won't be returning to eat but will visit the store again.

Close to the airport. Standard fare. Good solid breakfast. Nothing terrible. Nothing spectacular either. Good biscuits. Decent gravy. Overcooked sausages. But pretty typical place. Better than IHOP.

This was my first time at a Cracker Barrel and after visiting this time, I am now a huge fan. We were arriving from a flight from the Orlando Int'l Airport and were hungry, passed by Chili's, TGI Fridays, etc, but we wanted something different, and so we are SO GLAD we chose this instead. It was FANTASTIC in every aspect, and far exceeded my expectations. First, I have to say that our waitress was great. Her name was Jenni B and she was friendly, patient, always smiling and so pleasant to speak with. She would give us great recommendations, always make sure my iced tea was filled and constantly checked on us. I just wish MOST other restaurants could learn from her example of an outstanding wait staff . And as for the food, it was also great, and frankly, I was surprised it tasted so good. The turkey meal was moist and reminded me of home-cooked thanksgiving dinner. The meatloaf was so tender and tasty. And even the chicken n' dumplings were awesome. I loved them. And the sweet tea was really good too, and it's free refills so you have to order the iced teas. This is NO Denny's, and it's even better than TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesday and Chili's. And for the price you pay, it is the best value in town. The set meal comes with a lot of sides (mostly healthy) and the biscuits and cornbread were very good. The environment is very unique. There were cute candles by the tables, fun little signs on the walls. And everything just felt warm and fun. Seemed like a great place for families too. We didn't buy much in the retail store, but we loved just walking around and browsing through the unique items. The items were also priced very reasonably. I would definitely come back whenever I come back to Orlando and would recommend this Cracker Barrel to everyone who passes through Orlando!

I was excited to come to Cracker Barrel while I was in FL since we don't have any in Oregon. Boy, was I disappointed. I got French toast, eggs, and apparently turkey sausage (or so I'm certain it was) The scrambled eggs were flavorless and the French toast was way too crispy. On top of that, the menu is just a mess and I didn't care much for being forced to walk through the gift store on the way in and out. Our server was very cold and unfriendly. I wouldn't go here again if they put one in OR.

My family and I eat here regularly on the weekends. There is always a wait however they are known for under promising and over delivering. Today was told 30 min wait for two; actually waited 22 min which allowed time for looking around the store :) Great variety breakfast menu and they have a new butter pecan pancakes on their menu. Mostly friendly staff.

Cracker Barrel? or Dennys? Cracker Barrel? or Dennys? No contest. Cracker Barrel. (And Denny's was 1/2 mile closer, btw, and we were walking...so it's a bigger deal than it sounds like!) We needed something substantial for breakfast before going on our cruise, and CB definitely fit the bill! My husband and I love breakfast food, but we ALWAYS have leftovers. Since we were on our way to the ship, we split a meal since we knew we wouldn't have a way to save the deliciousness. We got the pancakes meal, and it was REALLY good. The biscuits were amazing as usual, and the syrup was as amazing as always! I am glad we split--it was cheap comfort food. BTW, our service was STELLAR. Our waitress was really, really nice and on top of everything. She seemed busy, but always had time for us. She was really sweet, too. Plus, she didn't seem mad that we were splitting or that I only had water (so our bill wasn't going to be huge) but she was really, really awesome. I would definitely come back to this location again--it's the best service I've had at a CB!

I've only been to Cracker Barrel a few times but I've never been disappointed and this time is no different. This is my first time though not eating breakfast. I'm having the meatloaf, Mac n cheese, broccoli & baked sweet potato. It's all sooo good! The service is on point as the food. I need to eat here more often & I think I will be.

We came here for breakfast before leaving Orlando for home and really enjoyed our platters. I was able to get a fluffy omelette stuffed with fresh veggies, which was a great pre-flight meal. We enjoyed the French Toast and Sunrise samplers as well. The blueberry pancakes actually come with blueberry syrup so be sure to ask for maple if you don't want a blueberry explosion. Service was very good and it is Cracker Barrel, after all, so we definitely had a great time trying to get to 1 peg on the table game (we eventually got there...).

I'm only giving this Cracker Barrel 3 stars because I had to wait for my meal to get my biscuits ANNNDDD they no longer have molasses!! Broke this little country girl's heart!!!! Ugh!!! Our server was phenomenal!!!! She was just what you would expect at a country restaurant- warm, inviting, courteous. She made sure we were taken care of despite the fact she was slammed something crazy. My coffee NEVER needed a refill!! Impressive to say the least. Cracker Barrel's food is never a disappoint. I'm from a small town in TN and this is the closest thing to home. Those fresh buttermilk biscuits and hashbrown casserole give me life!! I seriously drive almost 30 minutes for this country goodness because it's that serious. PLEASE bring the molasses back!! A primary reason I chose cracker barrel is because you guys offered molasses. :(

When I came here on a layover saw this place and wondered if it was any good and I'm not really a morning/breakfast person. A friend told me to go in and try cause it's a good place and my fellow yelpers gave it great reviews so I decided to go in and try, I have to say this is a great place to have breakfast besides going to the big chains like IHOP or Denny's it's a great change up. The food here is great and love how before you go inside to eat they have all the old candy I used to eat as a kid, and I have to say they have the best pancakes I've had other than my grandmothers, their pancakes puts Denny's and IHOP to shame to me sorry lol.

  • Natalie G.

I usually hate going to big chains like this but our waitress was actually really friendly and when I ordered something odd she rung it up the cheapest way possible instead of easily charging me a few bucks extra. My husband had a muffin which wasn't amazing and also the oatmeal which he liked. I have 2 eggs and a side of hash-browns which was good, not too hard to mess up though. This location is close to several hotels so easy to walk to if you don't have a car.

The first time I ever had breakfast at Cracker Barrel was with my brother and his two daughters. When he had the girls on the weekend, they would always have a breakfast one morning at Cracker Barrel. I got a kick about the "old-time country store" feeling about the place. The rocking chairs on the front patio. The gift shop in the front upon entry. And the decor of old signs and antiques throughout the restaurant. Reminds me of the old stores and diners in the small towns of Pennsylvania. Where my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins lived. My two nieces, being in their childhood at the time, loved the gift shop. After breakfast, we let them wander the gift shop and select an item for them to buy. Being the uncle, I would buy it for them. I seldom go out for breakfast, but this morning found me getting up early to catch a flight from Atlanta to Orlando, with just a few cups of coffee to keep me going. So by the time I left Orlando International Airport, I was starved. For a late breakfast, Cracker Barrel is the place to go. With breakfast specials named "Uncle Herschel", "Country Boy", "Old Timer's", "Grandpa's Country", and any other relative I forgot to mention, you know you are going to be fed well! I may not be going out to work on the farm after breakfast, but I do like something to stick to my ribs. Being just a few days after Christmas and near the airport and hotels, the restaurant was extremely busy. Forget about getting a rocking chair out front! After wandering around the gift shop, a table opened up ten minutes later. My name was called, and a hostess took me to my table. Shortly afterward, a server gave me a menu and asked me what I would like to drink. I ordered coffee, and by the time it was brought to my table, I was ready to order. I ordered the "Grandpa's Country" breakfast ($8.49). This includes two eggs (over easy), grits, biscuits with sawmill gravy, chicken fried steak, and a choice of the hash brown casserole or the fried apples. And I go with the apples every time. Everything was good about my breakfast with the exception of the gravy. The gravy was bland and thick. Very thick! I put a slice of the gravy on my grits (yes, I said slice), and then put a few slices of gravy on top of my biscuits. I like the gravy to seep into the biscuits and grits. But it just sat on the top. One slice of gravy actually rolled off one of the biscuits. Throughout my breakfast, people were coming and going. I guess this place does breakfast and does it well. I never heard of anyone complain about eating at Cracker Barrel. Another thing I notice about Cracker Barrel is no matter how busy the hostess, servers, and cashiers are, they are always friendly. And they provide fast service as well. They may have forgotten to bring something out, but it is brought out to your table in a timely manner. Even the manager will be out on the floor, helping in whatever way to make your visit as relaxing as can be. And this place can be hectic at times. Especially for breakfast! With coffee ($1.99), and tax, my breakfast came up to $11.17. But being late in the morning, this will keep me over until dinner. Unless I proceed to go out and work on the farm. Maybe go help Grandpa with the chicken coop or shovel coal for the furnace. About paying that bill. As you exit the dining room, the hostess booth is to your left. Where people are standing in line waiting to reserve a table. To the right is the cashiers for the restaurant and gift shop. Where the people are standing in line with their receipt. Or are you waiting for a table? And remember my two nieces running around the gift shop? Multiply that by 50! It makes for a lot of congestion around the hostess station and cashier. And with space limited because of displays, it makes walking through the gift shop and to the dining room difficult. But I would most likely go back again. The breakfast here is great. And I would like to try "Momma's French Toast/Pancake" breakfast sometime. I just hope the syrup isn't as thick as the gravy.

As much as I can't believe I'm saying this: Cracker Carrel apparently can be good. In the PA area we've eaten at three or four CB's and they run the gambit from stink to suck with their food. The service is usually alright but the food normally comes out as some degree of burnt and/or flavorless. I mean how can you screw up meatloaf? Easy, just burn the ketchup top to a crisp so badly that it's blackened. Most people would find that disgusting but in a PA CB that's called dinner. So with that in mind we made the "Dash of Death" across Semoran Blvd. from our hotel and hoped for the best. Well needless to say we were quite surprised when things came out as they were supposed to: Meatloaf-moist and not burnt Hashbrown casserole-moist and not burnt Ham-moist and not a slab of grizzly crap This was too good to be true except that it was true and our server was great as well as our cups never ran dry and he was very personable and friendly. I'm still not going over three stars because at the end of the day it is still JUST a Cracker Barrel but going here gave me some faith that not all CB's are bad and some actually can give you decent, hot, fresh, mass produced food in a timely manner.

I come here occasionally when I am down for some serious breakfast. This is not a place to diet. However, since I spent the two prior days fasting for a medical procedure, I was down to devour. My favorite is the Sunrise Sampler Breakfast. Loaded with the barnyard for meats and egg. Cinnamon and apples on the side with biscuits and gravy to boot! This is about as close to grandma's cooking as I am going to find in Orlando. I am also a fan of the chicken and dumplings. My parents really like to come here as well, which makes the decision much easier. The country store is full of unique things. My favorite thing besides the food is the decor. I am not sure if it is authentic but it looks like it. Overall, I am not usually fond of chain restaurants but this one is ok in my book.

Review for the gift shop only: So much stuff packed into a small space. Be careful when you turn around. It was full of Christmas items this week. I found a nice gift pack for an aunt and some stocking stuffers for Mom & Dad. Quite the variety of candy, cards, food stuff, cookbooks, jewelry & chatchkies. ;) People paying for their meals were also paying at the checkout counter so there was a little line. Wanted to take advantage of the free gift wrap but the wait was too long.

I am not a fan of Cracker Barrels in general, however my two Senior friends love this place so you know who won... The place was packed inside, they called about 6 parties all at once to be seated, now there was room to move. My one senior friend is 93, she said to the girl she can't stand long and within seconds they had a chair brought to her. That was very nice. We then got seated at our table, everyone was very nice. I ordered the fried chicken livers with hash brown casserole and coleslaw. The others order the veggie platters, which they both loved and enjoyed. My livers came out I could tell they were frozen prefab pieces. I opened them up and looked inside, hardly any meat inside. Breading was hard and very over cooked. They reminded me of fried oysters you buy in the freezer section at the store. I could not eat these livers. The potato casserole was good, nice and fresh the onion slices could have been cut smaller. Coleslaw was good nothing to write home about. Not a fan of the corn muffins, they left them in the dryer too long. (over baked). Best corn muffin I ever had was Boston Market sorry. I did not complain about the livers. That's my rule when at lunch with my senior friends. I share this because I did not give the restaurant a chance to provide a solution. Regardless I did not like the livers. Now lets talk about shopping, I love to shop. The country store is a great place to get that hard to find gift for your someone special.

Went to breakfast with my bestie here and really enjoyed the country style breakfast and ambiance. They were pretty crowded for a weekday and our server ladies were really sweet and helpful. Ordered a steak and eggs type meal that had way too much food for me, I ended up taking half of it home and nibbling on the left overs for a couple days. The attached country store had all kinds of knick knacks to look at. The food was alright, I didnt think it was overly spectacular, besides the big portions. It's a great place to bring out of town guests.

I like Cracker Barrel for what it is...comfort food on the cheap. It used to be a regular spot for family road trips to dine at when you didn't recognize another restaurant in the area. These days, I'm looking for the mom and pop spot, or the restaurants I don't recognize. I do like the gift shop, or I should my child likes to play with the toys in the gift shop...and, of course, we always manage to find some candy in their awesome selection. The food is consistently prepared and the service is generally good. I will continue to visit with my folks, and until my child decides the toys are no longer a reason to visit we will still go and get our sweet treats.

How do you mess up breakfast this badly? Everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - was done as wrong as wrong gets. The eggs were runny - a step away from raw, the toast was black, the sausage was burnt and hard as a rock. To top it off our server had a 'take it or leave it' attitude. This place used to be pretty darn good once but this is becoming a pattern IMO. I've given em one chance too many. Never going back.

The food is good here. They are open most of the day and really good for breakfast. The cheesy potatoes are the best thing ever created on the planet. Seriously, you have to try it. The biscuits are always fresh and the southern hospitality is always welcoming. Just make sure you bring an appetite because the menu is huge. This is not a vegetarian or special diet friendly place. It's a carnivores haven!!!!!! The price is inexpensive for what you get and with a little gift boutique outside the entrance, you can't go wrong!

A dark o' thirty flight resulted in minimal food. This girl was HUNGRY, and was even desperate enough to go through a McDonald's drive-thru. (Frightening!) Luckily, this CB is not too far from MCO, hence saving myself from a severe stomachache later. This location is settled amongst lots of shopping. Both the store and restaurant were very clean - except the restroom - it seriously needs some love. Super friendly staff; it seemed as though they were actually having a good time at work. They were all smiles, laughing, joking, and all of them seemed to have four stars or more on their aprons. The real star of the show was our server, Toni. She was absolutely awesome, from service to personality. CB fare is the same across the board, but my usual breakfast I order was cooked to perfection. Toni even suggested grilling my sourdough bread instead of just toasting it. She was right, it was good.

Like anyone else, one of the things I love about traveling, besides being far, far away from the office, is being able to get out and about, trying out local dining spots. On a recent trip to Orlando on an attempt to witness my first Space Shuttle launch, I had an opportunity to get re-acquainted with an old favorite that I try to visit any time I'm in the Southern part of the U.S., that institution known as Cracker Barrel. While it's a chain that I normally wouldn't spend time writing a yelp review over, there's just something about Cracker Barrel that makes me expound its virtues. Something comforting, almost like Kim Kardashian's bosom. Could it be the old-timey feel? The rocking chairs out front? The general store ahead of the dining room selling vintage candies and other little odds n' ends? Maybe. But the one thing I love about CB, and will gladly gladly drag myself over razor blades and broken glass at 6am are those pancakes. Namely the pecan pancakes, which I'm convinced were handed down by the hand of God herself. I don't know what they do to them, but all I know is that they're delicious. Warm and fluffy, with a generous sprinkling of toasty pecans mixed into the batter, they're perfect on their own. Add some butter, and a drizzle of their real maple syrup (conveniently packed in small glass bottles, just small enough to bring on plane trip back home...up yours, TSA), and you get something magical. With a side of their crispy bacon, we're at Harry Potter levels. Indeed, if you were in the Orlando Cracker Barrel, and witnessed a large black man eating pancakes with his eyes closed, sighing contentedly, that was probably some other freak; I don't get that orgasmic with my food. But I did happily devour a plate of those pecan-infused hotcakes. As for my visits to this particular Cracker Barrel, I have no complaints; the service was attentive, the food was piping hot and plentiful, and reasonable. And of course, the general store was visited on the way out, which yielded a bag full of candies to snack on in my hotel room, and take back home. Cracker Barrel is hell on diets. But what the heck, you're on vacation. So set that Atkins book aside for a day or two, and seek out the Cracker Barrel closest to you. Those pecan pancakes are worth the guilt.

We were driving through downtown Orlando looking for a place to eat after a very early morning flight, and we approached this Cracker Barrel. What a great choice! The service is top notch, with that Southern Hospitality. The food tasted as good as expected, and I would recommend this place for breakfast. Yes, you must walk through the store to get to the restaurant, but there is some interesting stuff in there.

Tasty southern style food served at affordable prices in a qaunt ambience. Both times we went there was a wait of 15 -20 minutes which gives just enough time to browse through the shop and pick up some of thoer interesting wares. We had the pork chops, southern chicken, berry pancakes all of which was quite delicious.
