Great Bar, Great Bartenders, Great Music, Great Vibe.... Every once in a while a dipshit like JackRay P will come around and fuck everything up. Bottom line: Act like a asshole, get treated like an asshole. Know how to act. Learning mother fuckers one at a time. Go to Cleo's, Get drunk, Get laid

Arguably one of the best bars in Orlando.Arguably the strongest drink for the price in Orlando. For the old schooler's, they no longer share bathrooms with the rest of the complex! The bartenders/owners make it awesome. My understanding is that if you are a bartender there, you are invested in the place so they all take personal interest in making sure you leave happy and with a heavy buzz on and at the very least, some type of personal drama to take with you. From my own experience, after reading one other review in particular (JackRay P. 7/17/2011), issues that arise at Cleo's come from patrons that cant handle strong drinks. Drama is usually cause and effect of the weekend warrior visiting the bar and over doing it. When the buzz wears off, they tend to realize that they created the issue. WARNING! ACTUNG! This bar is not for lightweights! They pour one of the heaviest drinks in town. If you are a weekend warrior, I suggest you stick to the popular beers like Bud and Bud Light or, go to Applebees. A note about the music, it aint your momma's top forty. Some of the best old school music hip hop. PS. Pay your bill DIck or you may find your name on the wall of shame.

Great place to grab an extremely strong drinks and listen to tunes on Sundays while kicking back and relaxing with some darts. The drinks are strong the ping pong is fast and the atmospher is very dive. Bring your friends and prepare to have a coule of good laughs and easy times.

We were celebrating a friend's birthday (7/16) and another friend took all of us (8ppl) to Cleo's, we all ran tabs. One of the bartenders, Patrick, went off on my friend, the one that took us there. The argument got heated. Patrick was unprofessional and even called my friend a "hood rat." He was very lucky the 4 guys we were with didn't just jump on the bar and unched him in the face. Luckily for him, we are all adults and have class and we just paid our tab and left. We will never go back!!! The birthday boy knows the owner and will make a complaint. Patrick does not need to work with the public.

Cleo's Lounge is the largest bar found in the same complex as Crooked Bayou and Casey's. I'm not sure why its got the word a lounge in its title, it definitely falls into what I would catagorize as a bar. But thats ok by me and its followers. It can have plenty of room to stretch out, but as per all downtown bars does get crowded later on weekend nights. Cleo's is pretty standard in the way of looks. Dark and smokey with music playing and drunken patrons moving and grooving on a make shift area in front of the bar that doubles as a dance floor. They also have booths in the back that are fun to hang out in with a group and observe, a lot better than a table in my opinion. Cleo's has a second room also, home to 3 pool tables. This room stays pretty empty except for the players and is great for getting a little air away from the packed main room. There isn't a bar in the pool room unfortunately, but I actually haven't ever had too much of a problem getting waited on at themain bar. Its large 3 sided stature makes it easy to squeeze up and place your order. The patrons here are college types and older, pretty average looking. Its a casual bar and jeans and t-shirts or polos are the norm for guys. Girls can get by with anything as usual. And for those wanting to mix it up with the opposite sex I think it would be a great pick up spot, feel free to test this theory next friday night.

This is a typical bar..nothing special. My friends and I like to meet up here and make our plans to where we will head next. They have pretty cheap and strong drinks. There is a decent outside area, but the inside is pretty dirty. Good place to start or end your night.
(3)Mike S.
I am giving them 4 stars for a few specific reasons. The bartenders are awesome, my drink is always deathly stong, and very fast. Also, the people watching while sitting outside makes it all worth while. Come to think of it, there isn't that many places to sit outside and enjoy a drink while being in a prime chill location but plenty of fun people walking by. The inside is nothing special. I NEVER really hangout in the inside. It is definitely not the final or main destination in an evening, but its great for a quick 2 or 3. Casey's next door is also affiliated and has a great corner spot to also sit outside. Same drink strenth, little bit better live music once or twice a week. Red bull Vodkas. Thats all i got to say.

Cleo's... simply: Good vibe, good prices on drinks, heavy pours, good music. DJs provide that house party vibe. If you're looking for a chill spot, old school music and drinks at a good price... go to Cleo's

I don't really like to jump on the wagon when my friends want to go to Cleo's but I won't not go. It's the place that I can "stop by" for a drink but do not like to spend more than 30 min there. Last night we headed there after the Magic game to catch the end of the Phillies game. It was not packed at all which was awesome. It was the perfect place to grab a drink and watch 3 innings of a game. I am not a fan of this place because it's dirty, you can smoke in there and it smells. Elizabeth B. hit the nail on the head with: " It smells like a college party - if you can imagine what that smell is." And I know you can...it's nasty.

I loveeeeee Cleo's. my fave bar in dt to pre-game or to chill and grab a drink. On weekends the dj is great. 80s and more. Sometimes could get crowded. The bartenders aren't stingy and super nice. There's a pool hall connected if you're into that. So my main reason for giving them 5 stars is how they pour their drinks. ;)
(5)John P.
The place rarely ever gets packed, and the drinks are VERY strong and cheap. The only downside is that it actually IS a bar so its somewhat dirty/grimy, but I think it adds to the uniqueness of the place. The location is next to VAIN so its a huge difference of the clientele between the 2. No cover at the door which is a plus, and if you want to bring a group, get there early to grab some good seating. The best thing about this place is the music. They ONLY play the old-school grimy hip hop and it brings back memories.
(4)Tony G.
They have the strongest and least expensive drinks anywhere in Florida. Be sure to keep this in mind and pace yourself or you may end up contributing to the "funky smell" other yelpers mentioned. When you step to the bar proceed with extreme caution. Cleo's is where pretentious cornballs get the gas face.

AWESOME bar / club / pool hall located near Church Street. On a recent Saturday night out on the town, a local bartender actually recommended Cleo's as a place to play some pool, watch some college football, and get strong drinks at a cheap price. Dude wasn't lying. Cleo's is an awesome place to chill and enjoy yourself. The pool room in the back is wide open, with a number of pool tables and dart boards available to play. Lots of folks were lining up to jump in during a number of games, and I noticed a lot of folks making new friends and enjoying themselves. We actually had a server take care of us as we were playing, and she was THE BEST. Always kept our drinks full, and these drinks were good and cheap. You absolutely can't go wrong with that! They also had a jukebox which was pumping great tunes, until the DJ started up next door. He did a decent job, but played no requests. Even had a sign that said so above his table- and was quite a douche when talking to him. Still, even his attitude couldn't bring my experience down. The bar area was cool, they had tons of seating at the bar, and a lot of tables surrounding it. Bartenders were great, shelling out strong drinks quickly and without attitude- nice job, there. This place was a blast, and I loved it. We all laughed at our server's shirt, which mentioned they have the worst bathrooms in Orlando. Until I went in. They were clean- and cool that they have chalkboards on the walls, so you can write nasty / funny things to your heart's content... but they were missing the walls that block off the toilet. Those walls were standing up in the pool hall next to the dart boards, with a message from the man who "knocked them down" with his autograph. Hilarious. Unless you have to drop a deuce, in which case you will have an audience. Oh well, totally worth it, this place rules!
(5)JC W.
Hands down. Best bar in dt Orlando. Dj's spinning, bartenders pouring, THE best in o-town. If you're looking for a jump off stop looking. Cleo's has what you need ;)

Chances are, if you know Ms. Cleo, it's because you were next door with her frisky sister Casey. But it's ok, these two sisters don't mind sharing. In fact they love to see you and hope you're having fun with both of them in the same night. Or maybe that's what they whisper seductively in my ears. They know what you got in that back pocket of yours, and they want to see it. I'm talking about your wallet, so get your filthy minds from the gutter. Or better yet, take it inside to Cleo's where the atmosphere is just as welcoming as the sister bar of Casey's next door. The bartenders have been culled from the same crop of awesome, and just want to see your eyes shine and smile brighten with their well mixed drinks. The music is more DJ quality, and plays a variety of mixes. They will spin you some Tiesto with a side of Run DMC. Nothing is off limits here, and the chalk boards in the bathroom encourage you to free your mind of the days cares. Ms. Cleo knows how to take care of you, and she is one hell of a host. You owe it to yourself to stumble over from next door and say hello. But beware, devilish Ms. Cleo may make you want to never leave. And her friendly and generous bartenders will make it as hard as they possibly can for you.

Great place for drinks. Strong drinks for cheap, they also have pool tables and darts.

This place was a little stingy and smokey college bar.....far from being a lounge. No class place. The music sucked, the bartender made one of the worst Rum Runners and the staff there was completely rude. After sipping on the crappy rum runner, my wife went to exchange it for something else and the bartender rudely refused. My wife asked for the manager and he made some wise ass remarks back to her. She spilled the drink across the bar and we walked out. We were chased outside by a redneck bar back insulting my wife with 7 grade antics. "I'll F*** your mother". Really??? If they simply exchanged the drink, they would have had $100+ bar tab. Instead they got $15 for two crappy drinks and lost 6 other patrons in an already empty place. I was happy to leave, and at least felt justified of spending the $15 so the redneck could clean up the spilled drink:-)

Nice big space, comfy, usually quiet, and friendly staff. They've got some pool tables, but the darts - like everywhere in downtown orlando - suck. Why can't you find steel tip darts in Downtown Oh-Doh?
(3)Elizabeth B.
Cleos is one of those bars that is really chill on a week night, and really busy on a weekend. I like Cleos better during the week, but always tend to go there on a Friday night after happy hour. Trick is to be at Cleos before 12 :) Playing pool or darts are actually not too bad, and something different to do than just sit and drink. Fairly small place, and very strong drinks. There isn't much to say about Cleos, the biggest downfall is the smell that comes out of that place. It smells like a college party - if you can imagine what that smell is. Cleos is not an amazing bar, but not a bad bar either.
(3)Eva B.
Best bar in Orlando! My friends and I come here frequently! I think it's one of the few places you can go to where you get a lot if alcohol for a great price. I like to drink premium liquor (ie. Crown & Hennessy) and cleo's fills the shot glass to almost the rim for $5!?!?! Everytime! That's insane!!! Yes it may smell like other yelpers say or it's a casual grungy atmosphere but I'm going there to drink & relax, not to drink with the queen or the president! Whether sitting outside, hanging next to the bar or pool tables this is a must! The music is great! They play a variety of music to please all ears. Service is constantly great! Love this bar!
(5)Nathan R.
This simple little bar is always a good time for two main reasons: the jukebox and the staff. And the pool table. And the drinks are good. The small town bar feeling is nice, too. OK, so needless to say I enjoy Cleo's Lounge. It is right next to the great Casey's, which is also a recommendation of mine. Cleo's is perfect for a down-tempo night if you feel like playing a few games of pool while hanging out in a neighborhood-like bar. They bar is basically two rooms, one with a good sized bar and some seating areas, and the next contains the pool tables, darts and jukebox. Cleo's is a good place to either begin or end your night.

Cleos is a big college bar with a huge wrap around bar and a second room that has a pool table and a couple of other games. Its always filled with Orlando's college scene on the weekends and hard to push and shove your way through the crowds. It also smells funky every time I go in there. If I lose my friends, they usually tell me they are at Cleos. I never like the music they play in there. One time I took my dog in for DogFest and the music was so loud that it hurt my dogs ears. You won't find me in here unless its the last place thats open.
(2)Kathy S.
It's a downtown staple. I enjoy shooting some pool and hanging out with my buddies, but that's about it. They are good and quick with their service and very attentive to needs.
(3)Ellen B.
Located right next to Casey's and just off Central Avenue, this bar is cool because it is two big rooms, one with pool tables and dart boards and the other with a bar, flat screen TVs, a dance floor, and tables. This bar is not cool because every time I go in there is smells like puke--literally. The smell hits me in the face and it takes a full 20 minutes to convince myself not to leave. Cleo's usually gets busy later, like around 11pm. On the weekend, the DJ plays a great old school mix and during the week they have beer pong, which is fun to watch, but really disgusting when you think about chugging a beer that had a ball in it that also rolled all over the puke-layered floor, but whatever. Good music and good drinks, so enjoy yourself.

It's the dt cheers!! Everyone on staff is amazing, heaviest pour dt, great music and great crowd. Love it!!
(5)Drew M.
Cleo's is your basic downtown Orlando bar...A good place to pop in for a drink or two and then move on to your next destination. On the weekends, the place tends to be wall to wall with people, and trying to flag down a bartender can be a challenge. They have a couple of pool tables and darts. If you see a table outside free, grab it! The people-watching is entertaining, and there's servers that work those tables, saving the hassle inside.
(3)Alicia M.
I don't live downtown but consider Cleo's my pub. The music is awesome. Mostly old school soul and hip hop. My favorite djs are usually in house. Sometimes the scene gets a little fratty on the weekends but I would take Cleo's on a packed night before I would step into any of the pretentious but popular night spots around town. The drinks are strong, the vibe is mellow, the staff is cool. What else do you need from a bar?
(5)Ashley B.
For the people bitching about the smell, welcome to a bar. Have fun back at your Church Street bars with your watered down drinks and herpes.
(5)Sandi W.
The drinks are definitely strong and cheap, but like most people are saying, it's a bit meh. Dirty, smelly, and definitely not a lounge. I don't really like the music either. I have given it a few tries, but there are other places I'd rather go. It's a shame because it's a cute name.
(2)Shelika B.
Cleo's is definitely the place to get cheap and strong drinks before a night downtown. Friday nights hosts a DJ playing old school hip hop music all night which made me a fan. Although it is a typical dive bar and not the place to go wearing your chicest outfit, it is a great place to hang and enjoy the music and drinks.
(3)Dave H.
Cleos is a great bar. All of the bar staff are really friendly, especially Wilbur and Natalie. The drinks are strong and cheap. They have free food during happy hour on Fridays and it is usually BBQ. Very tasty. If you get there right after work, it's calm and quiet. Later in the evening, around 10, it get's crazy, but it's always fun.
(5)Natalie C.
This is another one of my favorite "just-for-chilling" bars. They have a fantastic juke box and a room solely dedicated to pool tables. The actual bar room gets packed, so they have cocktail waitresses that help out and serve those who are there just to play pool; a nice detail for a Friday or Saturday night. Their location, like so many in downtown, is great because it's surrounded by other bars and pubs. Which makes it a nice stop before you really "go out" or a good ending and last call to an exciting night.
