I'm having my wedding here and I CAN NOT WAIT! I've visited the club four times (twice were for dinner) and do not have one negative thing to say... Even though my fiance and I are not members (yet lol) they treat us as if we are and make us feel special when we are there. If given the opportunity to dine here or have a cocktail jump on it! It's worth it!

Fellow Snobbyelpers, I had the opportunity of checking this establishment out this past weekend and I must say it is very nice. I was invited to meet a very charming young lady here for one of her friend's birthday party. Now this place is for members only and in order to enter without a membership you must be on the guest list. No, there is no huge wooden door with a slit that opens up to two intimidating eyes of a bearded bouncer on the other side after two loud knocks exclamatorily asking "Password!?". Nor is this an underground Club that is hidden or tucked away in some far off place in Downtown Orlando. It is found at the top floor of the BB&T tower or the B_&T tower, given that the second B has apparently not had its electricty bill paid in full just yet. The garage is located adjacent to the entrace of the Grand Bohemian Hotel. There is a big sign which identifies it as the Citrus Club Garage. Once in the garage, just follow the signs to the Club parking (make sure to get your ticket validated at the club as well!). From there, you will find directions on how to get to it. Unless you have ADD or is mildly challenged upstairs (this means your brain stupid), you will remember my mention of the club being located at the top of a certain tower in the previous paragraph. Ergo, head to the top floor. Once up there I was charmed by the elegant lobby of the Club itself. Luckily, no one was there so I waltzed right into the main room and met up with my date. The interior is very nicely decorated with a spacious room that can hold a decently sized party with additional private booths set up on the corners providing further intimacy for smaller parties. There are connference rooms as well inside of this Club. Unfortunately, I wasn't there long enough to enjoy a drink or any sort of food to be able to review it here. Maybe some other time. The one reason I will deduct a point from this club is the fact that there was a pungent smell coming from the bar. Due to my gigantic nose, I immediately picked up on it and was not impressed. It smelled like a recently cleaned 7-11 bathroom. I must say that took the experience down a notch. However, once I passed the bar the smell had receded and things were back to normal. Two major tips to note, if you decide to go party downtown and leave your car in this garage, make sure to do one of two things to be able to get to your car at the end of the night: 1. Wait for a security guard to show up at the main entrance of the tower so they can open the doors for you. If they are at the desk sitting down and all you see is humpty dumpty's forehead, knock slightly on the glass to get their attention. 2. You may also scan the ticket which you validated or received upon entering the garage at the many scanners leading to the garage. Please don't be like the two of us wandering idiots who literally walked up a ramp to try and enter the garage. Overall, it definitely looks like a great place to relax and enjoy a good evening. The views are marvelous. All of downtown is surrounding you with what could almost be classified as floor-to-ceiling glass windows. I would come back if invited again for sure so I could have an opportunity to really experience this place. Alright, time to put my nose down and check my british accent at the door. Enough snobbery. Ta-ta.

On February 14th of this year the Citrus Club unveiled their new, modern, and still classy look. Gone are the outdated prints and colors that adorned the walls and furniture. Now what you'll see is simpler colors, cleaner lines and magnified views of the Orlando skyline. What hasn't changed though is the attention to detail that all their guests will see. Jackets are still required for the men but each lady who sits down for dinner is given a red rose and the immediate twinkly feeling that comes after being given a fresh flower. And if that's not enough, the artistic plates that begin arriving shortly thereafter will definitely cause you to be a fan of this club. Pricey, yes. Members-only, yes. But worth the glamorous experience if given the chance, heck yes.

The only good part of my experience is that our server was rather friendly and funny. I wasn't too impressed with the food which took FOREVER, but nothing I communicated to the staff while making reservations were remembered, including my friend's birthday. It was pretty embarrassing that they forgot to bring out the birthday plate and I had to ask them where it is in front of the birthday person. We were there for over 3 hours (one of the first people to get there and the very last to leave). I expect much more from a restaurant of this caliber. Maybe it's because we weren't members of the club, I don't know, but I won't be back again.

Great place to have a fancy, grown up business meeting. If you are reading my review then you might be bored in your fancy business meeting. The food is gourmet and sometimes they have an amazing fresh lunch buffet. Although it's members only it isn't that pretentious. The servers are experienced and the food is delicious.

The Citrus Club offers a beautiful view of Downtown Orlando from atop the BB&T building, whether you are having a formal dinner or a relaxed meal in the lounge. With the recently completed renovations, the club looks modern and exudes elegance. The Happy Hours (Tue-Fri 5-7pm) are enjoyable, and usually well attended. The anytime lounge menu is great for a causal lunch or dinner.

This is an exclusive members only social club but I've been lucky enough to work for a boss that has a membership here and have been treated to some really great lunches and parties with the rest of the company. Opened in 1971, this private club sits on the 18th floor of the BB&T building and used to have some of the best views of Orlando prior to all the mega-condos being built. The view is still decent though, and the food and hospitality is really tough to beat. If you're ever lucky enough to get an invitation here, don't turn it down!

Food is excellent. They have a lively group women at the top that sponsors lots of fun events throughout the year. Other events are sponsored by the young executives group and the club itself. Expensive to join, but good for business meetings and networking. Once you join you have access to club Corp clubs around the country.

An upscale restaurant overlooking downtown. Food is excellent, but I am usually there for 2.5 hours from start to finish, and I don't quite have the time to spend all night getting food. Service is best-of-the-best and presentation is wonderful.

We had the good fortune to dine at this private club for our anniversary in October. Having been there last year during their extensive renovation, we were delighted at what they had done in the dining room. A very classy ambience in which to enjoy a superb meal. Yes, it is expensive but as has been said, it is worth every penny. The service staff is not only very efficient but also most personable. Throughout the wonderful meal, we were always treated very specially. The menu selections could not have been better - really hard to choose just one in each category. (My hubby and I always order two different things and switch - double the pleasure!) Just a wonderful culinary experience.

This place was the most amazing restaurant I've been to ever. It's very high class. You needed a dinner jacket in the main dining hall. No worries though, they have loaner jackets. Now, on with the show. Reservations are a must. The little things they do just add to the whole experience. Like the place cards at your table and roses for the ladies, just to name a few. My previous experience with these places is that the atmosphere although fancy, the food, not so good. This was definitely the exception. We started with the she crab and tuna. Both very good. I could have had a meal with the tuna it was so good. Next, salad. Very different presentation. I won't spoil everything by telling all. Next, the intermezo. Next, the main dish. We both ordered the filet mignon. Both were prepared in different manor. One they cooked at the table and the sauce they prepared with it was awesome. OMG, melt in your mouth good. They finalized everything with baby desserts. It was my wife's b-day and they remembered it because they brought out another dessert with a candle. What a nice final touch. The entire time the staff makes you feel very special and like you're the only people they care about. I don't know how this place has received anything less than 5 stars but who knows. I'm here to tell you, you MUST eat here once in your life. I always ask people, if I only have one night in this town, where MUST I go to eat and not miss. This is that place. You will not be sorry. Just sorry you didn't go. I did not take picture bc it would have been weird but I was surprised and so should you. Buen provecho, bon appetite, etc.

I was lucky enough to visit this venue for a wedding event-- after finding out recently that this place could only be accessed if you were a member. Nonetheless, the place was great! Stunning view of downtown Orlando from up top the 18th floor. Service was great, security was top notch, and food served was good too. Though, the only downside was the entering of the club from the lobby-- due to heavy construction, you could still visit the venue but you would need to walk through the construction site to get to the elevators that went upstairs. Definitely the in and out is a safety hazard and signage wasn't too great to lead to club, but once upstairs, all is forgotten and a great time occurs!

This member's only club is on the 18th floor in downtown Orlando off Church Street. Dress code requires a jacket, but the view of Orland is great. The Hubbard dining room staff presented my wife with a rose after we sat down. Jerad was our major waiter and could not have been better. My wife had fried calamari in a sweet/hot chili sauce that was a meal in itself. The she crab soup was better than the lobster bisque at Jordan's Pond in Acadia, Maine. Prime rib with freshly prepared horseradish and fire grilled beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce prepared at the table. Then bananas foster and chocolate mousse cake to finish. Not just 5 star but 6. So sorry you have to know a member - start asking around!

I have been in Orlando since 1974. As long as I can remember the Citrus Club has been a landmark in this community. I went here to attend a fund raising event. The name to the event was, "Cocktails for a Cause." The citrus club is a private club, members only. But it is available for use for parties, wedding receptions etc. The view from the top floor is absolutely breathtaking. Great place for a wedding reception. Great place to meet for a special appointment at lunch, even for family get-togethers. The place is very elegant, very beautifully decorated, and very very warm and inviting.

Great events space. I have been to over a dozen and always delighted with the flow of the events. If you get invited to a happy hour or lunch - Go! Would love to try out a membership but have Never been invited! Great location downtown to hobnob and network!

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a Christmas party last Wednesday, December 3rd at the Citrus Club with the NICU nurses from Florida Hospital Orlando. Everything went fine with one exception. I needed a drink and was refused service at the main bar (the bar in the reserved room was busy) by a blonde bartender that informed me, in quite a rude fashion, that I had to be "a member or with a member". I don't know how management might feel, but I would have assumed that guests of Florida Hospital would qualify as members for the night. I also believe a little etiquette training might be in order.

A fancy-schmancy members-only paradise. This is a great spot for an up-scale lunch meeting. the view of Downtown Orlando is hard to beat and the food (particularly the lunch buffet) is absolutely delicious! I love what they've done with the decor as it used to look a bit too much like a men's cigar club (lots of mahogany and outdated furniture). It now is so open, fresh, and modern that it makes you breathe a sigh of happiness when you walk in! The club is also great for private functions and speaker events. I've used it often when having high profile out of town speakers come in to lecture over a formal dinner and the staff has been great and everyone left happy. Great spot! Wish I was a member and didn't have to wait for a friend to invite me for lunch! :)

Been here twice. Enjoyed it more the first time. Had a fish dish today. Very very small portion for the money. I'm glad they give you bread. The taste was above average. Food took a while to come out. Server was professional. The sweet tea is amazing.

Nice atmosphere. certainly like the bar. I'm on the fence about the networking opportunities, short of living at the bar. Yes, they have certain events we can be part of, and several committees we are involved in, but I wish there would be more specific lead gen. Perhaps a system introducing new members, more round table business development, etc. We'll stay members for now, but would love to see a more proactive approach to building business.

What an amazing dinner. I have to admit I liked the food better here than at my local ClubCorp property. That said, food is food. What made things special here were all the extras. The meal started with the waiter brining the ladies of the table a selection of roses. The ladies got to choose the table's flowers. Aside from great menu items, there were several menu items that included table side preparation and cooking. The martini salad was shaken table side, the sauce for my steak was cooked table side, and of course bananas fosters is prepared table side. The latter two both had fun pyrotechnic aspects. The restaurant also provided amuse-bouche and sorbet prior to the main. The menu is large and the list of specials were quiet lengthy. Men must wear jackets in the main dining room, but not in the lounge. The menu is different in the lounge.

More pompous than most can stand. It is literally a professional club, in business to make money. Other elite members only clubs, offer more dining options and operate as non-profits. This is a great location for networking with others who will forget your name unless you've exchanged business cards.

Although this is a members only location, I've been fortunate enough to come here for different events. This particular time I purchased a travel zoo dinner package. Oh so worth it, if you catch the deal... I'm a big fan to customer service when it comes to my dining. The food here is amazing, abd the device made it that much enjoyable. It wasn't overly crowded but that's ok. It was my birthday and I truly enjoyed it. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable.

I am extremely late with this review but better late than never right? I went to the Citrus Club for a New Years Eve soiree type of event. I must say that I had a great time while there. The staff was great. They had hors d'oeuvres such as beef on a stick, chicken on a stick, pigs in a blanket, and a tiny shrimp and grits dish. It was all delicious and they kept on coming!!!!! It's a grand venue sitting on the top floor of the BB&T building. If only Orlando had a prettier skyline. I'd come back here for an event in a heartbeat.

Absolutely delicious food! The ambience was great for an intimate dinner and the view of Orlando from the 18th floor was spectacular! My favorite part was when the waiter actually made my bananas foster tableside right in front of us! Everything was great, no complaints here!

We were at a national meeting in Orlando and one of the events for part of the group was at the Citrus Club. Overall, this private club did a good job on the meeting of around 100 people, although for $65 per person with a cash bar, I guess we expected a little more than a buffet line with no table service, except for coffee after dinner. The setting on a top floor is pleasant -- the view of the sunset was great, though other than a few other downtown buildings and the flat Central Florida landscape there's not much else to see. When we arrived, there were two cash bars set up. Drinks were a little pricey: $12 each, plus tip, for a simple drink like vodka rocks or bourbon and ginger. The well brands were good ones, though, like Stoli and Grey Goose. (As we were leaving, we noticed a sign in the regular club bar that promoted $13 drinks for the next evening -- and that was $13 for all you cared to drink!) The buffet had a couple of good salads, several vegetables including mash potatoes and three entree choices -- beef tenderloin, grilled salmon and some kind of chicken. I had the tenderloin, which had a tasty sauce, but the beef was tough. My companion's salmon was fine. The desserts, a selection of several different small dessert items, was the best part of the meal. We had been told that parking could be difficult in downtown Orlando, so we took a chartered bus ($20 per person round-trip from the Rosen Shingle Creek), but as it turned out there was a parking lot adjoining the Citrus Club building so driving wouldn't have been a problem. Overall, a nice evening in a pleasant setting but for two persons including transport, the buffet meal cost, two simple drinks each and tips the outing came to $225, which seems a little high for this kind of event.

You come to the citrus club for the view. It is a spectacular view of the city. That being said, I was there for a luncheon. It was a buffet. The salad selection was great and I loved it but the mahi was soooooo salty. The mixed vegetables were barely seasoned but the roasted potatoes were decent. The best part was the dessert table and the salad table. I sampled three desserts-a mini chocolate cake that was amazing, a chocolate chip cookie that was pretty good, and chocolate dipped strawberries that were good as well. The place could use an over haul. Still, it's a good place to go to network.
