This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. I've dined here on multiple occasions and it's impressed me every time. Service is great. The wine list has wonderful choices from all over Italy. Try Taurasi! Love that one. I tried the shrimp app and the prosciutto y melone on my last visit. Absolutely delicious. The prosciutto comes with figs as well. A caprise salad accompanies every diner dish and those deserve the spot light as well. I always order the same dinner, Veal Parmesan. They're known for their excellent Veal quality. I've never had dessert, but I'm sure it's nothing less than amazing. This is a special place. Be prepared to spend. No children allowed. They will turn you away at the door with children. Don't be offended by this. It's not a restaurant for children.

Service Service & Service and food very good! Molto Benne! The Rose was a nice touch, you have to go to find out on your own. Added bonus was the awesome accordion player who played House of the Rising Sun by the animals, TIP don't forget to tip him, it's only right!

Went with a large party and had a fantastic meal. The service from Alberto and his team was great. For an appetizer, our table shared a cold seafood platter with crab, lobster, and shrimp. The bread was freshly baked, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The best part was the wonderful garlic eggplant dip which came with the bread. For dinner, I had the veal chops which was wonderfully cooked, a huge 24 oz portion, and tender.

Dan and the entire team treated us great. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was my daughters birthday and we were heading home to Miami. Thank you all for making this a special moment.

This is my favorite restaurant in Orlando. They serve the veal chop to end all veal chops. A tender and succulent milk fed veal with a perfect glaze. I warn you that it is pricy; usually between $65-90 based on market price. However, it is worth every penny. The 3 to 4 course appetizer is also highly recommended. At $20, it provides the dinner with a nice and inexpensive was to sample the other amazing dishes that this amazing restaurant serves. Mr. Chrisitini is one of the nicest and most interesting people that I have ever met. He's not there every night, so make sure he is in when you go. Ask him to share the Bob Hope/Johnny Carson story with you. It is a hoot. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 14 years now. I've lived in 4 different states and currently live on the west coast. However, I look for every opportunity to visit Orlando just so I can experience that Veal chop one more time.

The owner hates children!! Don't support this restaurant! Had guests visiting from out of town and thought this would be a great place to take them for a nice Sunday dinner. Our guests have a very well behaved quiet baby who we had just put down to sleep in his stroller (he would have been sleeping for at least the next 1.5 hours even in a loud environment). We walked in on Sunday evening and the place was completely empty. As soon as the host saw our stroller he said "No No! No!! Is there a baby in that?!? We don't allow strollers or babies! It's the owners rules!" He them proceed to "shoo" us out the door by waving his hands at us!!! So embarrassing and made us look terrible in front of our guests that we had just brought over to this place! We ended up finding another restaurant which turned out to be amazing.. so it was Christini's loss and our gain. I live locally and will tell everyone I know not to go to this place.. horrible way to run a business.

One of the finest Italian restaurants I've been to!! The service is pampering, and the calamari is dreamy! The wine menu is extensive and very reasonable, considering the choices and the upscale ambiance. We dine here whenever we visit Orlando. If you're Italian, or an Italian food lover, try it. You'll love it!!

If you want to be treated like a queen, then you want to eat here! The wait staff was impeccable, you will never see the bottom of your drink, plates set and whisked away without interrupting the dinner conversation, and they even called me "Bella" all night and gave me a rose at the end of the meal, and it all felt like they truly wanted this to be the best dining experience of my life. The food was awesome. Each person in our group felt that they had the best thing on the menu. And the ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening for two or a boisterous group of friends. The place isn't inexpensive so go for a special occasion and they will make it an evening to remember.

Beware of anything marked MP on the menu cause you are about to be extorted! We ordered the veal chop, MP, price you ask? 92.00! We also ordered the special appetizer marker MP, 55.00 for a freaking appetizer! Next, we had a simple fra diavolo dish consisting of 2 shrimp, two small pieces of frozen lobster, 75.00!! I am not making this up folks. No drinks, not fresh at all berries for dessert and our bill was 189.00 for an average meal. FYI, when the waiters can stand around and talk about their second homes in Italy, that I am guessing they can afford because of a 20% tip on these prices ,then it is time to move along unless of course, you have a second home in Italy too, then you will have plenty to talk about. Plenty of other restaurants in this area, try one of them and save yourself the credit card bill.

So we did come back to Orlando after one year, because we really wanted to come back to this restaurant! The service was again unbelievable, and our food was great! Should I make this an annual visit? :) I wish we have something like in Minnesota.

Christini's was a dining experience. Every dish was wonderful. For appetizers we enjoyed calamari (some of the best I've ever had), prawns, and a freshly made penne. The veal marsala was out of this world. Sure it's a little pricey, but you won't be disappointed.

I haven't had Italian food as good as this since I last went to Italy, and Italian isn't my favorite cuisine either! The ambiance is elegant & upscale! It's a perfect place for a romantic date ..but I came in wearing jeans, a blouse, and tennies; still got seated. Be prepared to spend some $$$. FOOD: The calamari is GREAT! It's FRESH and you can't go wrong with it! The portion size is great for sharing. You can order any of the entrees as an appetizer size and add chicken on the side (the chicken literally is on the side, so although you order it with your main dish it won't come on top of it). Fettuccine here is cheesy, not too much in it but perfect! SERVICE: The service is incomparable here. Everyone knows how to carry a conversation. There's also an accordion who goes to every table asking if there's a song you'd like him to play. I overheard that the accordion he has is 1 of 5 in the world. One last touch? Every woman leaves with a rose. Everyone was staring at me because I was at a table for ONE.. and this is DEFINITELY not the place for that. If you taxi out, be prepared to be charged $20 for one way (even if you're only 2 miles away)! There are a few taxis waiting outside (I saw 4 when I left) so even though this place is in a shopping center don't worry about finding a ride back, one will be available. The clientele this place brings is out of my league/pinky up stuff. Because of this I wouldn't come back, but it's definitely a place I'd recommend if you LOVE Italian! PS - I got to meet Mr. Chris Christini himself too! Maybe because I was at a table for 1 they thought I was a critic. lol

Fantastic food. The veal with morels was delicious. It's one of the best plates of food I've had in Orlando. Definitely the best Italian in Orlando. Very nice wine list.

A great spot for (in this case) a classy yet comfortable business dinner. The service and food were what you would expect for the price. Decor inside was homey authentic. All-in-all a great experience that my guests said they'd never forget. Unfortunately they asked us if they could have our table when we were done and digesting over dialogue -- a really embarrassing move for the host. You could tell he was humbled, and he graciously offered to buy us drinks at the bar. Luckily, we were finished anyway. Just an awkward way to exit. I DO recommend this spot if looking for a really nice dinner near the Convention Center.

This place is amazing. Alberto receive us at the door and introduce us to our waiter. The service was great. The food is awesome. I had the pesto and my wife has the ravioli. Very testefull and delicious. Desert was also great. I will come back for sure. This is a real italian restaurant. Worth the time.

In Orlando? It deserves a trip to Christini's. The food, the service; all wonderful. I agree with the others that it is one of if not the best restaurant in Orlando. Best calamari I've ever eaten, authentic Italian. Worth every penny (dollar).

Dinner at Christini's on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Christini's, Orlando, FL Food: Italian. christinis.com Overall: 5.2/10 vs. restaurants priced $$$$/5. Ambiance: Good. Food: Good. Service: Good. Wine/Drinks: Good. My rating scale: Exceptional, Very Good, Good, Ok, Needs Improvement, Terrible. Ambiance: The booth we were seated at was a little too small for our party size. The decor is very ostentatious with ornate statues littered throughout. Oddly, you'll see a prominently displayed empty wine case displaying wine bottles from yesteryear...I suppose it's to show us that they drank some nice wines at one point. Note, few to none of these wines are on the wine list. I'm not sure how I feel about the accordion player that wanders the restaurant...it's ok when the music is in the background, but when he's at the table beside you, it's too loud to converse...it does come off a little cheesy, like I'm at a tourist spot in Venice but I'm not, because Christini's is actually located in a strip mall. Food: The mozzarella and tomatoes, mushroom salad and veal parmigiana (notably the pomodoro sauce) are very good. Everything else was just ok. Wine/Drinks: For being one of Orlando's 'best Italian' establishments I thought the wine list wasn't as extensive as it should have been. I would note the sommelier was very helpful though. Service: Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive to our table, but beware, Christini's is an old-school Italian restaurant where the waiters like to "fix you a little of this and a little of that". You need to resist or a little of this and a little of that can turn in to a very expensive evening. Overall: I'm not sure I'd recommend Christini's to a friend unless they were looking for an old school, expensive Italian restaurant. I am not dying to get back there. JustAGuyThatLovesFood.bl…

This is my first five star review and it is well deserved. This is one of the best places in Orlando. My girlfriend had the sea bass and I had a perfect rare filet mignon. Needless to say, we were blown away! We also had a salad with goat cheese and raspberries and it was delicious. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive. The place looked like it was decorated in the 80's, but the food and service by far make up for it. Definitely a nice place to celebrate a special occasion or whenever you'd like to have a great meal. From reading other reviews, it seems like I need to order the Fried Calamari the next time we go. Excellent food, great service = A+ in my book.

My husband took me to Christini's for a romantic dinner tonight. It was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. We had the gnocchi with bolognese sauce as an appetizer and it was delicious. The lobster ravioli were amazing and the veal parmigiana was excellent. They brought me a long stem red rose at the end of the dinner. What a perfect way to end the evening. I hope to come back again soon!

I was in town for a convention and had to plan a dinner for about 30 of our clients. Based on the great reviews and proximity to the convention center, I though Chrsitini's would be a good fit. One weird thing about Orlando? The taxi drivers for the most part are awful! Several of my guests said the taxi drivers got lost and couldn't find the restaurant, so they were all running late. Another taxi driver didn't know where the Ritz Carlton hotel was when he picked up a client to bring them to meet us at the hotel?? Strange indeed. So let's look at the good side: the service here is fantastic. I worked with their events coordinator to select a prix fixe dinner and they were very organized and accommodating. The wait staff were attentive, kind and welcoming. For my menu I chose a starter of calamari fritti, Cesar salad and a choice of Shrimp fra Diavolo, Chicken Marsala, or the filet of beef with Barolo wine reduction. Most restaurants bring out a family style serving of calamari. Chrisitini's served us all our own heaping individual portion of the best calamari I've ever eaten. The calamari was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The marinara it was served with was fresh and zesty. My guests also raved about their salads, so all was going quite well. For the main coarse, several of us discussed ordering the beef, but our waiter talked us into having the shrimp as he swore it was the best thing on the menu. Sadly, I spent my meal looking longingly at my client's steak as I was very underwhelmed by my dish. A few of my co-workers agreed with me. The shrimp were indeed jumbo, but they were a little tough and overcooked and my sauce needed a bit more salt and a punch of more garlic or herbs. It just tasted very fishy and under seasoned. One of my clients on the other hand, raved about it and ate the shrimp I didn't finish. So taste is subjective, but I just wasn't that wowed by the dish. One client ordered the chicken marsala and liked the sauce, but didn't like the polenta soufflé on the side. I thought the soufflé was delish. Our meal was wrapped up with a wincingly painful few sips of Grappa (paint thinner frankly), and a delightful rendition of "Sweet Child of Mine" by GNR on the accordion. Hilarious! So based on my meal, I would rate the food a solid 3 stars and the service a 5.

Amazing. From every detail imaginable. The food is incredible- exceptionally prepared, great flavor. Impeccable service. We had the calamari, olives (from the owner's family farm), veal parmigiana and chicken parmigiana. Tender, flavorful, and perfect. The level of service is also superlative. No flaws.

During my second visit to Orlando, FL in 2000 with my former love during my birthday week, we were itching for Italian food as we were homesick from New York City. We found Christini's from our hotel's suggested area restaurants and it was definitely NOT a disappointment. The food was excellent, the wait staff treated us like royalty, and they had an accordion player strolling from table to table in honor of my birthday. The atmosphere was very romantic and I recommend a return visit. Attire is dressy to formal for this upscale restaurant. It was very expensive but worth every dollar as life is about taking risks!

I usually dont like italian restaurants, but this one made a difference. I liked the people and the food was nice, although the environment still over-saturated my visual capacity. I had a Caprese salad, followed by a Sea Bass and a Fettucini which i shared with my cousin. I was tired, so i left early. At 2:00am i went to sleep feeling nauseous and at 4:00am i woke up throwing up a pool of all the christini food. It didnt even give me a chance to get to the restroom. I then found out my aunt also had the caprese in other table the same night, and had exactly the same trouble i had. I have a reason once again to despise italian restaurants, please suggest me a good place. This cost me my New Year's party.

Ahhhh Beautiful Christini's. In a quiet shopping mall, but wonderful Italian restaurant with 5 star service and food When we were seated, we had a "team" of servers. And while the restaurant was full, I thought that having 4 servers would seem overwhelming or claustrophobic. However, they melded so beautifully and we never felt "hovered" over. We had a wondeful meal and we also had a live accordian player. I thought initially that it might be cheesy, but he was a fantastic player and had an extensive repetoire of songs and took requests. It was so fun and I felt like I was in a scene from The Godfather :) (one of my all time favorite movies I might add) The owner also was seated for dinner and he was a very lovely man. i think that's a wonderful mark of excellence. The owner, who is very proud of his place and what he's built, also dines there. he was gracious and just an all around nice man. Highly recommend.

Hands down the BEST dining experience I've had in recent memory. From start to finish perfection. From the atmosphere to the staff who literally made me feel like I've known them for years. At one point an accordion player walked up to our table and said " any requests" and me joking said how about some Jay Z .... And he busted out jay z on the accordion. When we left the owner thanked us. For the pea brain few people that are complaining and giving this place 1 or 2 stars , followed by they didn't have a good time because they paid too much or a coke was too expensive. These people don't have a ounce of knowledge as far as fine dining. If you want order chicken fingers go to Fridays and stop being a bunch of scrubs. This place is perfection period

  • Colbert F.

Just to clarify quickly, this rating is directed towards the service(the food is probably 4 stars). If you do not want to spend a minimum of $50 per person DO NOT GO HERE. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR SERVICE HERE. Went with a group of mainly graduate school friends to celebrate two birthdays. Many of us had never been before and while we expected a luxurious atmosphere with high end prices several of us still wanted to at least attempt to keep costs marginally down. My date ordered a $16 salad and this hoity toity waiter CONDESCENDINGLY attempted to make her purchase more. He carried his arrogant attitude around the table and patronized those of us who didn't feel like spending $100 on purchasing a cheap bottle of wine--even interrogated us by asking why we didn't want alcohol (in a very unfriendly demeanor that suggested we were cheap)...one "interrogee" was pregnant and another member was on a medication that prohibited alcohol consumption--thank goodness neither of which were secrets. I'm the type of person that hardly ever gets offended or sensitive about most things but I was seconds away from talking to the manager until the accordion player came over and took a request to play "let it go"--in the spirit of the song I let the issue go for the time being. In any case, the food was quite good and the atmosphere was marvelous aside from the service. If each of us had purchased $200 worth of food and drinks I'm sure we would have loved the waiter that I have no doubt could pamper the heck out of a billionaire.

Be prepared to spend when you come here, but you will get a white-tablecloth experience that is reminescent of our parents' good ol' days! The restaurant is in a very unassuming area -- a strip mall. But once you step inside its front doors, you're transported to somewhere far from the chain eateries and pseudo-Italian restaurants we're accustomed to. The owner makes it a point to be there every night -- something you rarely see anymore in the restaurant business. And that makes him a very popular person -- you can look around the restaurant and see photographs of all the celebrities & dignitaries who have dined there in almost the last 30 years. It's really impressive! And while the atmosphere is upscale, it's not stuffy. The waiters are polite and every lady gets a rose. The food, meanwhile, is about as authentic as you can get. The owner develops the recipes himself and his able chefs carry it out flawlessly. The pomodoro sauce is to DIE for and the veal parmesan (don't remember the exact name) was absolutely scrumptious! I still dream about it today. Don't skip out on dessert either -- the flaming creme brulee is fabulous, as is the tiramisu.

Simply the best itatlian cuisine and experience Ive had stateside. I dont say that lightly. Lat year we were in Orlando for ALL STAR WEEKEND and had a group of 12. The service is impeccable. The owner a gentleman and a scholar. Came out from cooking in the kitchen to welcome us and bring us some fine fine fine ***** cigars. Did I mention the owner is 80 and can still mix it up with the best of em. all this in orlando and a shopping mall parking lot to boot? How did this happen? Well Christini's predates the shopping mall. Explains it all except how the best italian food stateside ended up in Orlando? Not NYC, Vegas or LA but Orlando. Go figure. #salute to the owner and employees for a great experience. Never change! Oh and btw we came back 48hrs later just to experience it one more time before we flew out

I have to give this upscale restaurant one of my first, 5 star review after one visit reviews because if I ever go back to Orlando, I will go back to Christini's. It was recommended to my co-worker as an outstanding Italian restaurant and it did not disappoint. This restaurant is in a strip mall and I would go out of my way to return. First, the staff is so accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ready for a good time. they had us primed for enjoyment before any food hit the table. Note to owners and staff, the experience starts before any food is eaten. As a salesperson I have to give this place props for upselling, smooth and above board. The best I have ever experienced and never dishonest and I did not regret any choices. They got an extra hundred at least. Work group. I could write an essay about their techniques but I Yelp for fun, not pay. Now the food. I am a fried calamari aficionado and they serve the best I have tasted on three continents. Perfection, light, crispy, flavorful. The marianara sauce just perfect. We ate family style and I got to taste at least 5 dishes all were above average. The decadent veal with 4 cheeses would tempt a hedonistic to part with their loved ones. so delicious, not one average dish. They were busy on a Wednesday, I do not think it is a fluke. Somewhat oldschool, I loved it!!!

In a word: Absolutely Outstanding. Well, OK, two words. But oh so descriptive. I have visited Christini's on several occasions over the years and each has been a superb experience. The décor and ambiance are extremely well done. Warm hardwoods paired with white tablecloths and a roving accordion player contribute to an ambiance that is quintessential New York Italian. In fact, upon entry you may find yourself looking for the Gambini family sitting in the corner! Many of Christini's servers have worked here for years and their experience shows. They are completely attentive without hovering; wine recommendations are always spot on as they seek the best accompaniment to your chosen entrée. The menu is varied but not overwhelming. Offering a great assortment of pasta, seafood and meat entrees there is something to please every palate. My dinner last night was a perfectly prepared filet mignon with a red wine reduction - $42.50. The Caesar Salad and Vanilla Crème Brulet put perfect parentheses around the entrée. Make no mistake - an evening at Christini's will set you back a few bucks. But if you truly appreciate an all-around superb dining experience it is worth every penny. Five stars for me is a no-brainer here.

I am never really impressed with most places when I dine as part of a very large group. The food is typically luke warm, at best, and tastes as though it were manufactured on an automotive assembly line, complete with bits of things that don't quite belong on a plate. Very happily, I can report that at Christini's, not only was my dining experience superb - and among the very best among Italian restaurants that I can ever recall - but it was equally so for all 48 of my colleagues who dined together a few nights ago. It was extraordinary. Three appetizers were served: fried calamari, insalata caprese (with fresh bufalo mozzarella), and ravioli with a cream sauce. The main course was a choice of sea bass with shrimp risotto, finished with a lobster reduction; veal marsala; and chicken parmigiana. I had the sea bass -- it was so fresh and the flavor and texture so delicate, that it was like experiencing nirvana. My fellow diners who picked the veal (no one chose the chicken) echoed those sentiments. Dessert was a heady combination of sweet treats, including a three-layered gelato in a hard chocolate shell, and other luscious and sinful delights. I will long remember this restaurant and be sure to include it on my "must-go" list the next time my wife and I are in Orlando together. It's a perfect place for a special occasion.

I ate here many years ago when I was living in Orlando, and I still talk about the amazing experience I had at Christini's! Came here for Valentines day one year with my boyfriend. The restaurant has an elegant but still approachable feel to it. The waitstaff was amazing. The one thing I don't normally like about fine dining restaurants is that they often feel stuffy and contemptuous. Christini's is exactly the opposite. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they made us feel right at home. I got up to use the restroom and someone immediately offer their arm to escort me. Nice touch. They also gave all the ladies a rose and a chocolate at the end of the meal. I felt like royalty. Finally, the food. The food was wonderful. I got chicken "quattro formaggi" which is basically an elevated version of chicken parm. The sauce was delicious, the chicken was crispy and tender. I think my boyfriend got a steak, although I don't really remember. Yes, it's expensive, but the portions are generous, the food is tasty, and the experience is second to none. In other words, it's worth it.

Went to this restaurant for a special occasion and was more than disappointed. We had reservations for two and waited over 45 minutes still without a table. Over crowded, loud and no attention to satisfying the customer. If you are going there - reservations or not, I believe you will need to pay off the host for a table - otherwise good luck. Awful experience to say the least!

I'm not much of a fancy dinner kind of guy but if I'm with my boss, why not? Came here with a group of 7 business men and we were treated like we should be when served food that costs this much! They had a guy playing Sinatra on that thing Steve urkle used to play and we were served little sips of wine all night long (I'm assuming that is the proper way to drink wine) All of our meals were fantastic. Especially mine. I ordered a special lamb osso bucco. It was seriously a tiny lamb leg that was cooked so perfectly that meat fell off the bone. It had such flavor that everyone else at the table was jealous. I think I embarrassed my boss a bit by moaning every time I took a bite. We were celebrating a birthday for one of the gentlemen we were with and they kindly brought us an array of desserts all split for each of us so we did not have to pass anything around. I didn't get to see the bill but I'm sure that is why my paycheck has been lesser each week. Left with some purple teeth and a very full and satisfied belly.

WAY OVERPRICED!!! My wife and I went there for our Wedding Anniversary. We had a $100 Gift Card and still dropped another $120 and we had NO ALCOHOL!! Everything is ala carte! The waiter was nice but I felt like he was talking down to us when we asked him to explain a few things on the menu. The Filet was over cooked and was drowned in a red sauce. Oh and to top it all off, I ordered a Coke, now I know this place is upscale, but for the price of the food, I COULDNT BELIEVE THEY CHARGED FOR REFILLS ON A FOUNTAIN SOFT DRINK!!! We will never go back, I walked out of there feeling FLEECED!! I was especially disappointed because I own and operate a Limo company and I have always heard rave reviews of this place and have recommended a number of people here. NEVER AGAIN!!! Not worth the price unless you have money to burn and want to be in a stuffy environment. I will go to Roy's or Season's 52 or any of the other restaurants in the Dr. Phillips area.

Serious old school mafioso feel! Weren't planning on eating here, so we weren't dressy but they were so nice that they allowed us in shorts but still dressed nice...he just said no tank tops LOL. Funny but you can't get meatballs here. The bolognese was delicious and veal was great. The service was impeccable. I was in awe of all the famous celebs photoed around the place. At the end they give couples a red rose, which was such a nice touch. Apparently their signature move, b/c when we pulled up back to the Ritz they all asked how Christini's was...I was speechless. Definitely coming back!

Came here for a business dinner, the experience was spectacular. Service was above and beyond and the food was fantastic. We had a large party and had no issues with the staff waiting on our every need, not an empty glass and not a cold plate delivered. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an upper scale restaurant for a special event.

Great atmosphere, excellent service. Pricey but solid Italian place. Be ready with a couple songs in mind to stump the accordion player who does covers of everything from the Stones to Sinatra...

I came here for NYE dinner with my girlfriend. It was absolutely amazing. I was only able to get an early reservation, due to my own procrastination on making plans. We arrived a few minutes early, and they sat us immediately. My GF ordered a half bottle of wine (I don't think that they do single glasses. Maybe they do at the bar.). The wine list here is very good. Also very expensive. We were still able to drink a very nice, but reasonably priced half bottle of wine. Dinner was very good. The lamb shank was tender and enormous. The ravioli was delicious and plentiful. We finished with the tiarimisu and cappuccinos, which were also delicious. My gf compared them to the ones she drank while studying abroad. I just thought they were really good. I had heard about the roses for the women, and forgotten about it. When our waiter brought her a rose, I got extra boyfriend points. In short, this is a very nice restaurant. It is pricy though, so I'd recommend saving it for special occasions only.

Love, love, loved great place, great food! Well worth the price. The staff makes u feel like they have known u forever. No rush at all unlike some other restaurants tend to do.A bit pricey, but worth every cent. I had one of the veal dishes, it melts in your mouth so tender. If you having a special occasion and wondering where to go to impress, try Christinis!

Whenever I'm in Orlando for a conference, I dine at Christini's. It's an Italian restaurant with old school tuxedo-wearing waiters complete with live accordian music to set the atmosphere. While perhaps not really a business dinner restaurant and more for romantics, I usually take business colleagues there as I did this week. The food is some of the very best in all of Orlando and there are rarely children present. On this trip I enjoyed the special arugala salad as my first course. The shrimp scampi over thin pasta was excellent. The desserts of key lime pie and cream brulee were equally fantastic, as was the service. It's not inexpensive (about $85 per person last night) but well worth it. It has been a staple in Orlando for many years and I was pleased to see that nothing has changed since my last visit except the addition of many new delicious items on the menu.

Absolutely fabulous! We were on our first anniversary trip to Orlando and had originally booked our anniversary dinner at the Grand Floridian. Then thinking about the possibility of kids, people in flip-flops etc., I decided to look elsewhere. Based on a couple of reviews I selected Christini's. I'm so proud of myself for my selection. They sat us by ourselves and provided superb service. The food was excellent, especially the veal. Quite possibly the best veal I've had and I order veal a lot. The capper though was the accordion player. We requested a song he did not know, but he promised to return for dessert. We saw him leave while we were enjoying our main course and then return a little while later. When our desserts were served he reappeared and played our song. Amazing. It was a five-star experience all the way.

The service is what makes Christini's absolutely stellar. We were a large group of eight folks and they accommodated us with ease and grace. The sommelier offered suggestions but was not overly intrusive, and the entire staff was helpful but did not hover. I started with carpaccio di Manzo (thinly sliced prime filet mignon traditionally served with flakes of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Meyer lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil) and while it was good, it didn't stand out. The lemony sauce was a little overpowering and yet strangely, overall the dish was under-seasoned. Next was the veal piccata, which was wonderful! Lemony, buttery goodness in every bite. I savored my entree and was looking for bread at the end to sop up the leftover sauce. Dessert was berries with whipped cream and Chambord. I love a good liquer but honestly, once the server poured the Chambord over the berries, the poor things were just drowning in raspberry flavoring. Maybe half as much liquer and allow the flavor of the berries and the cream to shine on their own next time. I would love to return the next time we find ourselves in Orlando.

Christini's has been recommended to me on several occasions, so when my mom came to town for the weekend I decided to give it a shot. It's difficult to find Italian food that impresses her, and unfortunately Christini's failed to meet the mark as well. The decor at Christini's is pretty opulent, which really should have set the stage for the rest of the evening. While it's nice that Mr. Christini comes out and greets the tables individually, the hovering of his staff due to his presence was way too much. I think I talked to the waiter more then my mother, which really wasn't the goal of the evening. I felt overwhelmed with the service, proving that there really is too much of a good thing. The food itself was also nothing memorable, and in my opinion, pretty overpriced for what you're getting. I've tasted better at some of the pizzerias in the area that serve a full menu, and while it wasn't terrible, I expect much higher caliber for the rave reviews I'd heard previously. Our reservations proved to be unneccessary, as there were only a few tables in the restaurant. This was strange to me, especially when they insisted on a late reservation time. Overall, the entire experience was too much. The service was too much, the decor was over the top, and the price was too high for the taste of the food. Sorry, Mr. Christini, but this is not the italian atmosphere I was expecting.

very fancy place. We got a private room for about 50 people. They served us a variety of appetizers, I got the Shrimp Fra Diavlo and then we got an assortment of desserts. Lots of wine and booze. The dinner ended up taking like two and a half hours. Would recommend. Great place if you need dinner for a large group during an event.

My boyfriend lived in the North End (little Italy) in Boston for 10 years and has dined at almost every restaurant in the area. This restaurant is as good as the best in the North End. We had the veal parmigian and veal marsala (almost as good as Carmine's on Broadway). We also got an appetizer sampler with the pasta of the day (fettuccine bolognese), fried calamari, and their shrimp appetizer that is sauteed in a sauce of red wine. It is very pricey, but the meal is excellent, including the accordian player, the wine, and the service. Finish the meal with some great lemoncello. Also the hot bread with roasted eggplant pureed with dill, sea salt, and cracked black pepper that is emulsified with egg whites and olive oil was an awesome free bread basket.

In considering my post, please be aware that I am a fussy guest who has dined out a lot. The service made our experience, from the host to the bartender, the wait staff and the musicians, every step was tastefully done, attentive but not intrusive. When the waiter discovered I was a fan of a rare liquor that they HAD in their bar, I got a double pour of some very precious liquid and introduced to the owner, who was dining at 1AM and still personable too. The food was good and consistent, and in the case of the sauce on the pasta and the cannoli, it was excellent. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I've spent a better part of my adult life looking for the perfect gnocchi. Last night I found it. Christini's. The place is quite expensive, but man-oh-man... the gnocchi? I'm coming back to have gnocchi, gnocchi, and gnocchi with a gnocchi chaser.

Possibly the loudest restaurant I've ever been to in my life. While the service was top notch and super professional, it was hard to hear anything or anyone. The food was slightly above average, but with a real traditional menu - veal Marsala, a number of pasta choices, Caesar salad, and all the usual dishes. Chock filled with business people and bronze statutes, this is NY Italian at its most kitsch. Not a bad place for a loud, fun night out; but it's also not the best meal in your life. Enjoy.

More servers than guests and the place was full. Been around since 1987, and I remember going there in a limo with three other couples for my 35th birthday. Meeting Rolando at the bar, drinking a great martini with blue cheese olives stemmed on Rosemary spear. Nice presentation. The risotto was not the best I've had, but the wine made up for it.

very good service, decent wine list but inedible food. we spent $341 left our entrees untouched and no one bothered to ask us why???? $40 for 3 ounces of veal (overcooked and tough) is just a bit overpriced i feel. With the complete lack of interest in why we didn't eat our food I would never return to this restaurant.

  • Wayne B.

Cramped, loud, ridiculously overpriced with haughty service. Barely average Italian food. Lets start with the good. Entering the place, you are pleasantly greeted and welcomed into warm, classic Italian restaurant decor. Every inch of the place seems festooned with pictures of famous people who apparently ate there at one time or another - entertainment icons, sports legends and captains of industry. After that it is all downhill. We did go there on a busy night (Saturday,) but the seating was still very cramped. Though we were touching elbows and walls, we were pretty excited that the place was so packed. That meant great service and food right? Wrong. After more than a while of delay, a someone came to take our drink order. We were pretty hungry by then so wanted to order some appetizers. He informed us that the waiter will be with us shortly. When asked if he could put in a quick appetizer order for us, he simply did not reply and kept taking drink orders. The waiter finally came and began effusively going over the specials. We we finally got a word in edgewise about appetizers he launched into a promotion about the house special sampler appetizer. He was so pushy and we were so hungry that we just said yes. It was a single shrimp and a cup of cream soup each wuth two calamari to share between the 6 of us. Not exactly the bountiful appetizer he described, but everything was ok taste-wise, so we just ate. The bill for the appetizer, a single line item of $195. Of course we did not know this until the end of the meal. The rest I will not bore you with, the salads were ok, the different pastas ordered (both cream and tomato based) were basic, tried and true American-Italian fare, and the lamb and veal were as good as any Olive Garden. There was simply nothing worth commenting about. The bill came to just over $700 for six people, with one drink and no dessert. Not bad for a gourmet meal, but outlandish for the food we tasted. The waiter added 18% tip on after that and then had a final speech about that being the absolute minimum tip, then he actually dismissed us. We normally give 20% or more tip if impressed. This guy deserved max 10%. Some food critic may go there, get pampered, eat for free and give this place 5-stars for the foo-foo factor. However if we are talking ambiance taste, service and value, one star is the rating I will stick with. The single star was for the ambiance Just don't go here.

This Italian restaurant is not to be missed. Wait Staff in tux's and the pasta is homemade by the family daily. Great wine list. I went there during a convention and they called me to arrive promptly for my 6:30 seating. When I arrived, people were lined up for half a block waiting to be seated. And do not miss the cannoli at the end. The very best I have ever had and I have had them all from North End of Boston, NYC, and Philly. Out of this world!

My family and I spent the day at The Disney parks and before we knew it it was 10 pm on a Sunday night, and there didn't seem like there was much of a choice for a late dinner. We found Christin's on OpenTable and it had pretty good reviews, so we decided to make a reservation for 10:30 and head over there. When we were about 5 min away, the hostess called to make sure we were still planning on coming because their dining room was empty and they would stay open just for us (they advertise as being open until midnight, but close early if there is nobody there and they don't have any reservations on the books). We felt bad making the stay open, but were happy they did because it was great! I was a little nervous at first because unfortunately at other places when I've dined late, the restaurant staff would provide less than stellar service because they wanted to go home, but NOT at Christini's! The entire staff was extremely warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our waiters Alberto and Andres were so attentive and friendly, along with the accordion player, who gave us our own private show (as we were the only table in the restaurant at 11pm). The food was great, the eggplant spread they serve with the bread service was amazing, along with the caprese salad (with the best aged balsamic i've ever had) and eggplant parm appetizer we Ordered. I had ordered the special shrimp scampi with 3 enormous prawns, and it was delicious, however, I felt that it was a tad over-priced at $42.50 for the small pasta portion size. The chicken parm was good, and the chicken portion was enough to share, however, the breading was a little soggy for my taste, but that's just a personal preference. It also would've been nice if it were served with a small side of pasta or something. We ordered the chocolate mousse cake for dessert, very rich and delicious. We had an overall wonderful experience at the restaurant and are happy we decided to try it. The food and service was great, and would highly recommend it if you a looking for a fine dining Italian experience in the Orlando area.

When you want to be treated like a million dollars, you come to Christinis. You will find that the only people dining here, want to have the best service in Orlando. I have been lucky enough to dine here on a couple occasions The servers are dressed in nice tuxedos and pull your chair out for you to sit. The Italian food is made to order with homemade recipes that is unbelievably good. .Everything from the food to the ambiance impressed me. At the end of your meal, they bring out roses to give to the lady. So sweet. Be prepared to be pampered and spend lots of money here.

This place is really good. I have never had good experiences with restaurants in strip malls, but it was a very good surprise of how well this place is put together at the end of the night.. I was here on business and was taken here by the vendor. He had been coming here for years he said, and knew the owners very well. Im sure this all added to the experience of such a great night. I still tell tales of this place to my wife. One of these days Ill get to take my wife here. Its very good italian food, and definately a must stop for some highend italian food if your in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Very unassuming appearance from the outside. Tucked into the corner of a shopping center but get ready for a five star dining experience. You are welcomed by a matte d in a tuxedo and the wait staff is dressed the same. Food. Difficult to find words to describe how good it was. Everything is prepared perfectly. On one occasion the waiter forgot to bring an appetizer. The remedy - desert on the house. My daughter asked for directions to the ladies room. No directions, she was escorted to the door of the ladies room. You can't get a better meal in central Florida. Yes a little expensive but well worth it.

Incredible Restaurant, from the second you walk in the door you know your in for something special. The service is exceptional, the food is at a level you expect in LA or New York. The owner is almost always there talking to his staff and the guests. The accordion player and roses for the ladies make this a dining experience you that you won't forget.

This place is so good that I felt compelled to write my first review...ever! We recently moved to the area and my wife and I needed a quick place for a hungry-grumpy 2 and 7 year old. We saw the restaurant and decided to just stop there. It looked unassuming from the outside. As soon as we walked in I thought, Oh-no! I'm in the wrong place! Once you enter the place, you realize that you are at a 5 star restaurant. My wife and I looked at each other and thought "what the heck, the kids are hungry, and we're desperate." To be clear, this is not a place to bring your two year old, but I have to say that these guys know what they are doing. Not only can they handle your discriminating foodie, they can also anticipate the needs of a hungry, grumpy 2 year old. I was amazed at how the maitre'd almost read my kid's mind and brought him whatever they needed before they realized that they needed it. BTW..he was also great at reading our minds as well as meeting our needs. These guys seriously love what they do. I was prepared to get the evil-eye for bringing my kids to such a nice place. Instead, I got an entire staff full of sincere smiles that were extremely friendly. Wow..what an experience. The food was amazing. I often lament how much I miss authentic Italian food. Not here. The food is exquisite. From the time that the rustic itallian bread was brought out through the beautiful rose that my wife received at the end of our meal. Christini's has a lifelong customer in me.

We came here for Father's Day, and overall we had a great experience. Our reservation was for 7 pm, and we were immediately seated. One thing to note is that the setting is fairly formal (the waiters are even dressed up in captain-suits), so I'd recommend dressing up. The bread came out right away, and it was both warm and delicious. For the main course I ordered the lobster scampi, which was absolutely fantastic. The lobster was just the right texture and flavor, and the sauce was fairly light and well seasoned. The portion size was just right, too - after I finished I felt satisfied but not too full. Now onto the service - the service here was phenomenal. The waiter interacted with us throughout our dinner and was extremely attentive to our needs. They also have live entertainment - an accordionist who actually played a song for each table (not sure if this was just for Father's Day, though). We even got to meet the owner at the end of our meal, and chatted with him for a bit. And finally, they gave all the ladies roses as we were getting ready to leave - something that I personally have never experienced before. The only reason I'm giving a 4-star review rather than 5 is the price. This place is fairly expensive, and in my opinion the food alone doesn't justify it. The food AND the service, on the other hand, might convince me to come again. We'll see.

This is a fave whenever, I'm in Orlando. Don't come here on a budget. It's Orlando's version of NYC's Rao's. But you can get a reservation here. The food is exceptional, prepared in an old school Italian American style. If you don't see it on the menu, if they have the ingredients, they will make it for you. The seafood specials are usually really yummy. The wine list is Italian good. Service is always old school impeccable. A perfect place for a business meal or a special occasion.

I met my friend at the bar for a pre-dinner drink with our reservations at 7. My first advice is to ask up front what your drink will cost. We both ordered a dirty martini and didn't request a certain brand of liquor. The cost for two of these was $45. We were then seated for dinner and the service was exceptional, maybe too much. We asked to see the magical dining and the regular menu and ended up ordering off the regular menu. We talked to "one" of our servers and said we would like to order a glass of wine off of the magical menu. He brought the bottle to the table and poured the wine after offering a taste, he then left the bottle on the table. He apparently thought we wanted the whole bottle which we never requested this. When we did ask why he left the bottle on the table that we only wanted a glass he removed it. Please make sure they know you only want a glass of wine or you will be charged for a bottle. I have to say the food itself was amazing. Service was over kill and a little pushy. Would I go back again? Probably not. I felt very pushed there. I don't have a problem paying for a great meal but this was ridiculous

Tonight my father and I had one of the best experiences... He had been raving about this restaurant for 15 years and he was 100% right. WOW... Christini's in Orlando is one of the greatest start to finish old world Italian restaurants I've ever been to. From the welcoming yet prive' outdoor entrance to the indoor decadence, this place hits every note. The staff is second to none, starting at the bar with The lovely Amber and the incredibly knowledgable Sommelier Colin; this place is quite frankly "The Bomb". If you want an opulent, old world, first class experience mixed with exceptional flavors, wonderfully crafted cocktails and ambiance, GO TO CHRISTINI'S. The closest place I can think of to compare it to is Dantana's in LA, but that would be doing it a disservice. Thank you to my father for an unforgettable evening.

What can you say about a restaurant where 3 of the first 4 things you order you have to send back? The thing that amazes me is the high ratings they get from other people. $75 for 2 Bourbons and a glass of wine at the bar! Decor is old fashioned and stuffy. The calamari which was recommended by the barmaid was breaded just like TGI Friday not a real Italian in the world eats it that way. Veal Milanese served with the same Progresso-like seasoned bread crumbs and tough as a shoe. The one star rating is almost earned because they almost graciously took everything back. They did try to tell me that it wasn't tough though. This was a very expensive disappointment!

Any restaurant that has been in business for thirty years must be doing something right, and Christini's certainly is. In fact, they're doing it exactly the same as thirty years ago. We went here when they first opened, and upon a return visit thirty years later we could detect no differences. It's still got that traditional restaurant decor and lighting, still offers the same traditional Italian dishes, and the owner still comes around to every table, just as he has been doing every night for thirty years. That dedication is reflected in the loyalty and enthusiasm of the entire staff. Ingredients are fresh, and service is prompt and friendly. If there's a downside to Christini's, it's the price. Food prices tend to be 50 to 100% higher than comparable items elsewhere, and wine markups are astronomical. Since no corkage is available, be prepared to pay $200 for a decent bottle of wine. Is a multi-course dinner for two with wine worth $400 to $600? The packed room on Saturday night attests to the fact that Christini's clients believe it is.

Real old world Italian. After a day of chasing kids around whatever theme park, find a babysitter put on a good dress and suit and feel human again. We weren't dressed up but no one made us feel uncomfortable but we were seated in a great booth toward the back where we could see it all. This is a 1960's Italian restaurant, North End kind of place, where the waiters all wear tuxedo and dinner is served not plated and handed to you. The olive appetizer Is wonderful, the bread is crusty and the food is delicious. Do not be fooled because it is in a shopping Mall go through those doors and be amazed by the people, décor as well as the food.

Tried out Christini's, and well, it wasn't everything I expected. First expression was mixed, excellent service (truly bar none) but dark and unwelcoming dining room. The sommelier was great, very knowledgeable, and helpful in choosing the right wine. Bread and appetizer hit the spot while we had a drink and looked over the menu. Can't recall the name of the appetizer, but was an overpriced ($20) bland spread. Wish I would have skipped out on it. Entrees, the gnocchi in bolognese and lamb shank with orzo pasta, were both cooked perfectly and tasteful. Unfortunately after we finished our entrees it appeared as if the staff forgot about us. After about 15 minutes someone finally came out and brought us our check. Decided on 3 stars based on the way overpriced lamb shank, and very mediocre at best appetizer.

This is a fun spot to visit. First when you walk in it is happening. Diners seem very excited to be there for drinks and some really good traditional Italian food. This place is known for its veal, as well as great service. After a martini and some apps, I had the veal parm bone-in. Delicious, to say the least. All flavors and textures were done nicely. I especially liked the pomadoro sauce that balanced the dish against the breading of the veal, which can just be soggy and oily. This wasn't the case, as the sauce was fresh and bright with San Marzano tomato. The waiter was efficient and direct (pretty sure he was Italian). The house was loud, making conversation difficult across the table. A man with an accordion played requested tunes. Mine was Van Halen and he didn't hesitate to rip into "I'll Wait" off of 1984. Salute!

My wife and I attended a conference in Orlando. On a whim I decided to look around for an Italian restaurant we could eat at. Found some reviews, and initially was skeptical about the prices and the location (strip mall). Boy, am I glad I gave them a shot. This was, without a doubt, the best meal I ever had!. Not the best Italian, the best MEAL ever! From the captain devoted to your table all night, to the atmosphere (uppity, but not pretentious) to the food!!! OMG the FOOOD is to die for :-) After having salads we decided to order. I had the Fettucini Alla Christinis with a chicken breast. My wife ordered the scaloppine al marsala. For desert we ordered the Creme' Brûlée and the tiramisu both were too die for :-) their wine selection was extensive and we were very pleased to find some Argentinian and Spanish wines on the list. We settle for a 2009 Muga Rioja and it could not have complemented better. I am SOOOOO looking forward to our return visit for the 2017 conference and another great evening.

One of the best places in Orlando. My friend proposed to his girlfriend here! Fun and romantic. Love the veal park chop. I add meat sauce to it. Call me crazy but it's amazing. Will definitely go back. I do everyone that I'm in Orlando.

A true traditional Italian! We were wonderfully surprised by the entire dining experience, after a long day at the water park. Despite our wrong dress code , every single one at the restaurant treated us like we are their VIP guest. They were very attentive to our kids needs. The soup was the best I ever had. Their "special" for the day Scampi Shrimp is perfect.

Unbelievable experience! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! We had an impromptu Disney vacation and really wanted to try Christini's because our friend said it was delicious. We called ahead to let them know we were bringing small children with us and they were so accommodating. From putting us in an area where we wouldn't annoy other guests, getting the children's dinner out within minutes and knowing the perfect time to bring the dessert for the kids...they went above and beyond for us! I don't know if I would recommend going with children but if you don't have a babysitter they sure do know how to make it a more enjoyable experience. I had the Lamb Shank and my husband had the Veal. Our friends had pasta dishes. Everything was exceptional. The roses at the end were such a nice touch and our little girls loved it!

This is the second time we've been to Christini's, and the service was impeccable as always, the atmosphere was superb, and the food was the best we've had in a long time. Our server Dan and his partner Joe were attentive, respectful, and very knowledgable about the wine list and menu. Their recommendations were spot on. For an appetizer we had the calamari, which they split into two portions for my wife and I. We then had the Caesar salad which was also served French style for us. For the main course, my wife had the veal piccata which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the 12 oz, bone in veal chop served parmigiana style, and it was out of this world. For dessert we had the tiramisu, which, as hard as it is for me to admit, was better than my mother's. The atmosphere was highlighted by the accordion player who played beautiful renditions of Silent Night and Bring Him Home from Les Mis. It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to treat themselves to a very special evening.

I actually would give 4 1/2 stars - food incredibly good Italian. Service and ambiance cool old style Italian. Only knock is that this is definitely not a $$$ place as yelp indicates - it is a $$$$ place. Expensive. Chicken parm was $35 for Gods sake without any sides. One other knock is almost no wines by the glass. Certainly nothing good ( iron horse chard. Yuck ). So if you want any wine you have to get a bottle !

Christini's does not allow children under 6 years old. For this alone, I recommend against patronizing it. I am not even sure such a provision is lawful. And this is an Italian Restuarant? A culture that puts family and children at its core? So much for this family friendly entity. Good luck. If I were a florida resident I would serously consider litigating this issue.

Amazing! I have never had a better experience. The atmosphere was cozy, wait staff awesome and the food, extraordinary! My friend and I had the veal Marsala and filet and shared. Both cooked to perfection with great flavor. Appetizer and dessert were yum! Had the Crème brûlée, it was the best I have ever had.

Staff was incredibly sweet. Well mannered to take care of tables. Food was very good, a bit pricy. I would recommend it for the staff and the attention you'll get at the table, but the price will deter me from returning.

Another fine dining experience at Christini's. The food and service was what you would expect at this white table cloth restaurant. The Veal Chop and the special sauce was delicious. The asparagus were cooked to perfection and as always the hostess and bar staff were a joy to be around.

Awesome. Yes it's kind of loud. And always crowded. And the accordion player is a bit over the top. And it isn't cheap. But it's great Italian food and the ambiance is perfect. And if you're going to pay a premium for a meal in Tourist Town, you might as well get some real value for it. This is the best restaurant in Orlando. And I've eaten in a lot of them. If you want excellent food, great service and a fun, lively atmosphere and you're not scared to pay for it, this is your spot. On my trips down to O-town, this is the one highlight, always.

Awesome. The best chicken parmigiana I have ever had. Very fun yet traditional atmosphere. Personal sommelier comes around to take your wine order. The most authentic Italian around. Creme brûlée was the best.

Amazing food, awesome service. This is my absolute favorite restaurant. The Chilean Seabass is my absolute favorite dish.

Truly authentic Italian food! I had a to die for veal with morel mushrooms and the best service I think I've had in any restaurant around the world! (which is saying a lot considering the fact I was a female dining by myself and in situations like that it's rare to get outstanding and attentive service) Keep in mind it's in the back corner of the strip center but once you walk inside you think you're in Italy :-)

My favorite Italian restaurant in Orlando. White glove service and true chivalry is here. Try the Osso bucco and the fettuccini which is hard to beat! Excellent choice of wines. An accordion player works the room and you can request music! The waitstaff works as a team. Be sure to make a reservation.

We came to Christinis to celebrate our wedding anniversary as this restaurant is very romantic. A bit over the top with a strolling accordion player (prepare cash ahead of time for a quick discrete tip) and the waiters in captains jackets. But I must say if you allow yourself to "go with it" "when in Rome" you will really enjoy yourself. Our service was very good and the food excellent. Mr. Christini stopped by to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and sent over a drink to help celebrate our special day. A complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" on the plate was sent over as well. These little touches of personalized attention were very much appreciated. I did not find it as expensive as some other reviewers. $125 per person with food, wine, and tip. I suggest a reasonable bottle of Italian wine Luce-Lucente $60 a bottle. The whole Orlando Magic basketball team came in for dinner while we were eating. There must be a LARGE private dinning room in the back!

As you enter Christini's, you feel as if you've been transported back a few decades because the entire layout and vibe remind you of an 'old school" Italian restaurant; they've been around for about 30 years and it clearly shows. I came here tonight with a group of 10 for their Magical Dining Menu and although we all enjoyed the night, we all left with varying degrees of satisfaction. I ordered their 'FILETTO DI PEPERONI ARROSTITI CON ACCIUGHE' (roasted peppers, extra virgin olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar, garnished with anchovies) which I really did enjoy, but it felt like an incomplete plate; I would've liked a greater amount of anchovies. Those who ordered the INSALATA MISTA ALL ROMANA (Caesar Salad) weren't pleased, but the MOZZARELLA EN CARROZZA was tasty. From here we were given our entrees and this is where I was highly disappointed; the FAGOTTINI DI PERE (purse shaped pasta stuffed with pears and Italian cheeses, served with a rich Gorgonzola cream sauce) was truly great, but the Veal Scaloppine and Sole were mediocre. The pasta was so delicious! I wish I would've ordered it, but I ordered the veal which wasn't the type of dish that would make you want to return. There were only two options for dessert, the cheesecake and cannoli. I ordered the cheesecake which was good, but like the veal, didn't match he price point. You may be asking yourself how I ended up at 4 stars when the majority of the food seemed mediocre; well, the answer would be their service, ambiance and accordion player. The entire staff was warm, pleasant and made us feel comfortable. I wasn't able to catch the name of the accordion player, but damn, he was great; we made a request and immediately started playing and made it all seen so simple. I highly doubt I would return since I prefer to receive great value, but this is a place you should try out for yourself. The food is definitely overpriced, but if you're willing to pay for the experience, I'd give them a shot.

On the outside, it's an empty strip mall. On the inside, it's a beautiful, romantic exquisite restaurant. My brother booked the reservations and had been waiting for us, so we went immediately to our table. Nice size restaurant. Would be ideal to bring a date. It was a bit dark in the restaurant, making it a bit difficult to read the menu. The ambience was dressy and refined. We were able to engage in conversation and not be drowned out by restaurant noise. During dinner, there was a gentleman that came by with an accordion and played some songs for us. Even Bohemian Rhapsody (which we requested) he was quite talented and a nice treat! I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and was not disappointed. Very good! Although I did feel I could have had more a bit more on my plate. For dessert, the Creme Brûlée was a bit burnt, not the best I had. Prices are very expensive, not sure if it's worth it.

I was very impressed with this place! The food is good but the service is amazing. The waiters here are called "captains" (they're all guys, lol). At first I thought it was just a Father's Day thing, but apparently not! Lighting here is dim and the decor is very classy, but the mood here is still very laid back somehow...and a lot of people come here dressed quite casually. The staff here really puts in the effort to make sure that your whole experience at the restaurant is memorable. There was one guy walking around all of the tables with an accordion, and asked each table if they had any requests for what they wanted to hear. We requested Titanic (not really sure how that came up). And we had a live music show right there playing as we ate! Multiple staff members came to our table to with my dad a happy father's day, even the owner! And they give all the ladies a rose at the end of the meal. 5-star experience!! As for the food, it was definitely very good, but I didn't think it was worth the hefty price. I got the caprese salad as an appetizer. It was good...nothing special. The serving size was very generous. My only issue was that I thought there was way too much arugula. For my main entree, I got the gamberoni fra diavlo--jumbo shrimp over linguine in a spicy pasta sauce. The shrimps were HUGE. And cooked very very well. It tasted so good with the sauce. The sauce isn't that spicy, by the way, so don't let the name deter you. But it was good, and I really enjoyed the flavor it added to the linguine and the shrimp. Overall, the food is good but overpriced in my opinion. The service is what makes this restaurant amazing. If you're in the mood to splurge, come to Christini's! They'll make you feel like royalty :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
