This is a fun little conglomerate of bars right on Central Avenue. It is sometimes overlooked with the ever popular Church St. complex and Wall St. a few blocks away but they don't take away from these more divey type establishments drawing in regulars and those out for a relaxed good time. There are 6 bars/clubs under the roof of this one square block building. Brix is on t he corner and is more of a restaurant than bar but you can certainly grab some drinks and catch a game at this the newest resident of the Central Arcade. next to it along Central is Crooked Bayou and Casey's. Bayou has food and a cool bar scene with a DJ some nights. Casey's is the corner bar that is always packed with regulars. Behind these establishments down an outdoor hallway you'll find Suite B, the loungy techno dance bar, and Cairo the hip hop dance bar. The largest bar in the Arcade is Cleo's/ It has two rooms, one with a large bar and one with some pool tables. Its pretty popular with the laid back crowd who just wants to kick back. The one caveat I have with this group of bars is that they all share a centrally located restroom. Its usually not too crowded but with all those bars sharing it can get crazy. Central Arcade had something for everyone, just hop around the establishments until you find a spot to fit your needs.
