Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

It's been a few years since I visited a Carrabbas. I had the Brushetta Caprise as an App. Very tasty on the toasted bread. The side salad was ok nothing to brag about. My main course was Pollo Rosa Maria. It was very tasty with the Fontina cheese and mushrooms. Rosa Maria is a pretty "sweet dish" and if she was a women, I'd compare her to Sophia Loren in her prime! Oh I almost forgot to mention the sautéed broccoli. It was delicious especially after I had the waiter sprinkle some grated cheese on top. Ummmm good. Service from server ck 44 at the bar where I ate was good.

If you come to Carraba make sure you bring your stomach along for the ride!!! When we went to Carraba's I ordered a fettuccine with shrimp and Alfredo sauce its was amazing

Had dinner last night and I may not go back. The service was great but then it goes down hill. I believe they think that salt is the only way to make the food taste good and the veggies were over cook.

I used to love Carrabbas until I went to this location. I've been here several times and have had an issue every time. The last time, I ordered a sirloin Marsala w/no mushrooms. It came with mushrooms, which was no big deal (I just took them off), it happens all the time, but it was cold. The food had taken so long that by then I had lost my appetite and told the server I didn't want it. It had obviously sat and sat. She and the manager acted like they were doing me a favor by removing my meal off the bill. After these experiences I seriously can't remember why I loved Carrabbas so we have moved on to Romanos Macaroni Grill whenever we crave the bread!

One of the best Carrabba's we have ever visited. The owner brought me a fresh plate of pasta because he felt what had been delivered "looked a little dry." In reality what had been delivered would have been exceptional by most other restaurant standards. Waitress was happy & enjoyed serving people. Definitely a place we will come back to.

Went to Carrabba's tonight with friends and was greeted with such enthusiasm and passion by Steve the bartender. I couldn't wait to get a glass of wine. He presented us the most delicious cab after suffering through our indecision. He was so attentive and warm. We can't wait to return and visit Steve!

The new Carrabba's on Semoran @ the Beachline #528 was a disappointment. The dark woodwork and setting was nice, and the service was very good, but the food was overpriced and uninspired. One of my favorite dishes is sausage and peppers, which is typically savory and loaded with delish sauce and a medley of spices. Not my experience at Carrabba's. They have a way of taking the excitement of jello and infusing it into their sausage and pepper entre...bland, bland, bland. Not wanting to offend the masses and folks and tourists visiting from the prairie states and provinces, everything at our table was sufficiently safe and watered down and most certain not to conjure up the Midwest insult "oh, now that's different."

I ordered the Fettuccine Carrabba for curbside pickup an hour before closing time. The order was ready in 10 minutes. Kind of surprisingly fast. When I got it back to my hotel room, less than 5 minutes later, the noodles were a congealed solid mass that a medium duty plastic fork was absolutely no match for. The cheese smelled horribly and because I was so hungry and somewhat distracted by a movie, I actually took a bite of something I was able to lever away from the rest of the mass. I stopped immediately, placed it back in the Carrabbas bag and walked back to get a full refund. Im normally way too "nice" to complain about food, but this stuff was toxic. I'd say it had been sitting around for several hours, not just 30 minutes or an hour. Right now my tongue is somewhat numb where it contacted the food and I may be in serious trouble in an hour or two. Consume at your own risk.

While I am a huge Carrabba's fan, this location is a bit of a disappointment. The food is typical Carrabba's - and that is good, but I am disappointed with the atmosphere at this location. This is a new location, and you would think that would mean, bigger, better - not in this case. The location is rather small (at least it seems it) in Carrabba's terms. It is dark with a lot of woodwork instead. The service itself was very good, but the food did not seem to be as hot & fresh as at other Carrabba's locations. Was it good? Yes, but still not AS good as at other locations. Of course, I am a huge fan of their house salad, but I have recently been disappointed that they made cutbacks (to save money I assume) and took the celery out of the salad that for as long as I can remember, had celery. And, if you ask for it, you're told they don't have it to add. How disappointing. Would I avoid this location? No. Would I make this my first choice to eat at? No. If you're hungry, want italian food, and are in the area, it's fine. But, you might want to make a reservation - they tend to get very long waits.

Carrabbas is by far my favorite restaurant to eat at! I live in East Orlando so there's no location close to me. I have visited the Oviedo location several times and was extremely pleased, however, The airport location opened up and I have been there twice. This is the worst location I have ever visited. The service is horrible and the food is not to expectation. The management needs to get it together... They run out of food, I never received bread until I asked during my dinner, our food came out room temperature, the mashed potatoes taste like water was added to it.... Carrabba's is still my favorite restaurant but I will never visit that location again!! If you're in the area... I would drive the extra 4 miles and visit the location on Sandlake Road across from the Florida mall.

We eat at this chain all of the time and have never had a bad experience. Tonight we dined here and absolutely had the awkward dinner:( the waitress got my order wrong (way off) took 20 min to get my food and my husband was finished eating by the time they brought it:( then waitress interrupts my eating to offer dessert which we declined since I was still eating my entree:-( the bill is discussed over my head while I'm still eating!! So rude does anyone have manners anymore... I am very disappointed the manager did not even come over to offer an apology. We stay here very week or so and they just lost a loyal customer. Managers wake up you cannot be doing that well that the customer comes last not first
(2)Greg D.
It's a new Carrabba's. They are still going the through some growing pains. The staff very friendly and have a positive vibe. The over attentiveness and food delivery time could be improved. I would wrap this up as your standard issue Carrabba's.
(3)Liz G.
I had a fond memory of Carrabba's as a child in Naples, FL. I haven't been to one in about 8 years. I finally went to the new location by the airport and was disappointed. The food was not great at all. I could've gone to olive garden, spent less, and wouldv been extremely satisfied.
(2)Brian H.
Great food, however they fail to deliver. Staying at a nearby hotel, I called it a to-go order and I ordered no mushrooms and the carry out form says 'no mush' as I cannot eat mushrooms. However, imagine my surprise after paying a hefty $22.90 for a chicken dish that the order had mushrooms. Since I was already back at my hotel, I could not return for them to make it right ... very frustrating that their kitchen can't perform.

Awesome food, amazing service! The manager went above and beyond to solve my one concern (not food related). The bartenders were extremely attentive, friendly, and liberal with samples. An unexpectedly memorable visit.

Not a great visit. It was around 5:30 on a gorgeous night and we wanted to eat at a place that had outdoor seating. There were 4 of us- 2 adults and 2 children under age 6. As we parked we noticed 3-4 empty tables outside. Seemed perfect. As we enter we notice a few folks waiting for tables. We made our request for an outdoor table, they gave us a pager and we waited. And waited. Walked over to the door and still tables empty outside so asked girl doing seating how much longer. Just a few she said and turned back to the other employees who had come and gone from front podium periodically all the time we were there. This girl was very involved in two things...talking to her friends about other friends and flipping her long braids around as she talked and laughed. Some people got tables when we noticed a threesome who came in long after us being escorted outside. Ok. I thought maybe they called in or something. About 5 minutes later pager goes off and we are told to follow nice young man to our seats. The problem was...he headed into the dining room not the porch. I was standing by my husband when we first arrived 25 minutes before and heard him say "outside only" and saw "twirly braids" acknowledge him. We told our seater we requested outside only and he replied "oh so sorry, it may be a few minutes." At this point we were done. Two kids were hungry and had been so patient that the thought of having to rely on "twirly braids" once again to get us a table was unthinkable. We left, walked across the road to Bonefish, were immediately seated. We had a great view of the 3 empty tables on the Carrabas porch and a great meal. Lesson learned Advice to managers at Carrabas: Get a seater who isn't a social butterfly.

Our server, Andrew, was excellent. We enjoyed the happy hour drink and appetizer specials. The bread with dipping was very good and our meals were ok. Pretty good food and great service!

Great food. I went during World Cup and they had the games on, which made me very happy. Kinda enjoyed watching the cooks cook everything. Do visit if you enjoy Italian food.
(4)Larry T.
Food was good, service was good, and the restaurant is clean and tidy. Always takes a little bit before a server comes to the table...even though there are a LOT of servers. Usually go on sunday afternoon....nice place.

When in Orlando by the airport I always go to this carrabas to get great food, service and the family armosphere that it provides. I always request Wes, his great smile and personality always makes me and my family feel at home. People with security issues(Zarek) should feel ashamed to put down this amazing restaurant and their servers who truly work hard for their customers.

Carrabba's --the mediocre Italian chain restaurant that has wrestled the crown of suburban-sprawl mundanity away from the Olive Garden -- has sprouted one of its clones here. Steve the bartender will greet you warmly and introduce himself, but his level of attention to detail in service will tend to decay exponentially. I'm not sure where he disappears to so often; perhaps they also have him in the back cooking the food? The food is maddeningly uneven. Some of the dishes, like the challenging arancini appetizer -a Sicilian specialty - are great. But then the dead-simple lasagna bolognese tastes like someone burnt a rubber glove and coated it in marinara. The location is in a cluster of hotels and similar chain restaurants that are nestled among the dozen or so hotels north of Orlando International Airport, so if you're considering dining here, you're probably not coming out of your way. Seen from that perspective, if you are careful in selecting your dishes (use the guidance of the servers), you will probably find an okay meal.

Tried out this location after giving them enough time to settle in and staff trained. This is located right outside the airport so expect it to be packed so either come early or make a reservation. The place doesn't look that big so the seating seems limited and packed. Our table was just about right next to someone else for me to eavesdrop their conversations easily which was not great. Somehow they didn't carry my favorite seafood linguine in white/red sauce but I picked the porkchop instead which was a bit dry but edible. The server was so overwhelmed with the tables (don't blame her, it was kinda hectic there) and took a while just to greet us and got us drinks. Overall it was okay. If you want a romantic dinner with your love one then try the other location on Sand Lake instead or opt for the other neighboring restaurants just in walking distance from Carrabba's.
(3)Zarek T.
Great food, but if you get a server named Wes B, be prepared to have your girlfriend hit on the entire time you are there. I don't think he addressed me once. My girlfriend said he winked at her when he walked by and felt creeped out every time he came to our table. No complaints about the food, but I just tipped a guy to hit on my girlfriend for 45 minutes.
(2)Angel M.
This is a new location so the decorations are fresh and classy. They have a nice selection of booths for small parties and a great number of larger tables for large parties. We had a party of 7 for Sunday lunch and we were seated immediately. Service is up to par to fit the chain.
(4)Freddie K.
Great service for such a busy spot. Food is fresh, hot and familiar. Missed the Carrabas experience

Although this location has been opened for a few months now, the service and food are nowhere close to the quality of the other Carrabba's. They really need to train their staff a lot more! The highlights were the two bartenders, Joey and I cant remember the other guys name. Friendly and attentive. Once we got to a table, it all went downhill from there.

Visited around half an hour to close on a Sunday after arriving at the airport and checking in to a nearby hotel. I felt welcome despite our late arrival; there were only a few tables still occupied. Friendly bartender, even though we had minimal interaction with him. One of us ordered a particular wine and we overheard our server chatting (positively) with the bartender about the selection. Later, the bartender even asked how the wine was. One of us ordered the lasagna. Soon after, the manager stopped by to inform us that some lasagna had been sent back earlier and he didn't want to serve it any more that night (and I suppose no one would want to have it after his description...). He suggested a custom-made dish prepared similarly to lasagna -- oven-baked layers of ravioli. Despite the runner and server being a little confused when the dish came out, it turned out to be quite yummy. At the conclusion of an excellent meal, we found that the manager comped the custom entree. Probably unnecessary for him to do that, but I'm excited to return to Carrabba's again in the hopes that I get another positive experience like this one.

Nice atmosphere and ordinary Italian food. Went there for lunch near the hotel and it was pretty descent.

Not wanting to venture too far for dinner, as I had yet to return my rental car back to the airport I found this brand new Carrabba's Italian Grill. It is in brand new development area and the parking can be really tight as they try to pack as many cars as possible. Being single they took me right away and placed me in a small two person booth as I did not want to eat at the bar. The place was hopping with guests. My server was Jenna C. who gave me superior service and made sure my water was always topped off. Celebrating the end of my trip I selected a Small Sirloin Marsala which came with a nice side salad and bread. It was cooked to perfection, and I really appreciated the smaller serving for $16.00 I thought it was a good value. For dessert I chose the Panna Cotta for $6.00. It was perfect as I did not want something too sweet to keep me up. With tax my total came to $24.39. Jenna got a great tip as her service was right up to par! I would recommend and would repeat a visit!

Excellent service from Jonah! Lasagna was a little dried out and charred but I did not tell the manager. Scallop and shrimp dish was fine.

Sat at the bar tonight. Best bar tenders EVER...good food, friendly service. I will definitely be back.

My family has been going to Carrabas for years. Their portions keep getting smaller. The house salad use to have romaine lettuce, celery, fresh sliced carrots, pepperoncini peppers and two kinds of olives - green and black. Now they serve romaine, pre shredded carrots and 2 tiny olives if you are lucky. Are you kidding me guys, who makes these brilliant decisions. They cut way back on pasta, what?? Pasta is cheap, give us some pasta.i know people that go elsewhere because of the cutbacks. The main portions are inconsistent, I spent $19.00 for the lg chicken dish and the two pieces of chicken were tiny. I paid $1.50 extra for asparagus instead of broccoli (without knowing) and it was a tiny portion. I have really question myself when wanting to go to Carrabas'. With all my frustrations out, the food taste really good.

Came here with the family for Easter Dinner. Prompt service, great food and a server from heaven

Me and my wife just had dinner here tonight and it was AWESOME! We sat at the cook's counter and the guys behind the counter and our waiter made it a very enjoyable experience. Haven't ever sat there but would again and highly recommend it. Good job guys!!!
(5)JD J.
They are consistently providing pretty decent food and service for a fair price. Stopped in for a few appetizers in the bar area during Happy Hour. During Happy Hour it's 1/2 price appetizers and 2 for 1 on ALL drinks!!! Gotta like that deal. Bartenders were very busy but very friendly.

I didn't want to venture too far from my hotel due to the thunderstorm. I noticed that in my 1 week Orlando vacation every single place I visited had a Carrabas. Today is my final day at Orlando and my friends and family decided to finally try this Carrabas and I'm glad we did. I was discouraged from the previous reviews and rating of this place but I experienced a different dinning. Service was great! My waiter even gave the history of Carrabas which was very informative. My friends and I ordered a plate of calamari, chicken parmigiana, carrabas fettuccine, baked ravioli, pasta and 9oz steak, and pollo rosa. The chicken was cooked well. The steak was a bit tough so it wasn't as juicy as my friend and I would like. While waiting for the food, they give complementary bread with an olive oil and herb dipped. The bread and dipped were mediocre. But the food overall exceeded my initial low expectation for this place. My favorite dish out of all that my friends and I ordered was the chicken parmigiana. In terms of how fast the food came, The food came by very fast and was still very hot. In California we don't have a Carrabas so this place is like a better version of Olive Garden.

It's always a good experience going to Carrabas, we visited the new location near OIA for the fist time and it was great. The server did an excellent job and the food was outstanding, they have finally added the Mahi Wulfe to the menu. The only complaint/guestion I have is them forcing you to sit in the bar area to take advantage of the half price drinks and appetizers. I didn't like that.
(4)Vinnie S.
My wife and I went to the Carrabba's at Gateway near OIA and what a fantastic dinner and time we had. We were told our wait to be seated would be 20 minutes and we were seated in 15 minutes (that's a plus). Our server was Ashley R. she was very friendly attentive and just a great server. She checked on us but was not to the point of being overbearing. She explained the menu items we asked about with skill and knowledge. She made suggestions for both dinner and dessert and was right on the money. We will return and we will ask for her again and I hope she is still at this location. Ashley you rock as a server and Carrabba's we had a great time.
(5)Francisco M.
Our second visit to Carrabba's and most likely our last. For a Monday night, it was pretty busy. We sat down and it took about 10 minutes for the server to come over. We ordered drinks and it seemed to flow well after that hiccup. I was looking forward to the menu options because they sounded good on paper but taste was lacking. I decided to order the Lobster Mac & Cheese and I found it was missing the cheese. It had some pieces of lobster but the cheese was pretty much missing. It was more like Mac & Lobster. The menu stated it also came with pieces of Pancetta and it was hard to taste those flavors. It makes me wonder whether they really forgot to add the cheese. My wife ordered the Sirloin Skewers and the meat was chewy and bland. She asked for it medium rare and it came more medium well. We had them wrap our desserts to go because we were in a hurry and those were ok, nothing to write home about. We've had much better Italian food In Orlando.

Totally up to par with the original in Houston! Love this place when I'm in Houston, even happier to know its branched out to other places! Totes yummy! Great service! Bartender was the best I've ever had. She was engaging and hilarious!
