Wow!! This place is my new favorite Thai cuisine restaurant in the area because everything was amazing!! I ordered the sample app to share with my friend since he never had Thai food. For my entree I ordered the yellow curry meal with chicken. The Sample app was great, tasted fine, and was great portions. However, I thought the price was a little high for all the components on the platter. My entree was perfect in my opinion. The curry sauce was the right consistently, flavor, and portion size. The dessert was great too. I asked our server the best dessert & she recommended the Sticky Rice with Mango. I didn't want to try it because it seemed boring to me. So I ordered the Baked Taro custard dessert. I didn't know what Taro was, but I wanted to try it. I'm a Foodie & I love trying out new foods. It was great. I highly recommend this dessert because it was light & refreshing. The flavor was somewhat sweet, but not too rich. A well-balanced dessert to a wonderful Thai dinner. I gave it 4 stars because I thought the prices were a little steep overall, but well worth the price though. I will return & I do recommend checking out this wonderful little place.

Great Thai food in a very pleasant, richly adorned restaurant. Step inside & you forget it is in a strip shopping plaza. Pages upon pages of salads, curries, rice & noodle specialties, and 9 kinds of soup. We tried the warm beef salad with lime, thin red onion, and ample cilantro & basil which was delicious. Also wonderful was their red curry ordered Thai hot. Outstanding hospitality & service. Good wine list, along with Singha & Chang beers. Dessert was offered but we had to say no due to the huge portions. This will be a definite must on our Orlando trips in the future!

Its a tiny little place, but it is the best Thai Food I have ever had. Everything runs a little sweeter than hot, so if you like spicy ask for it. But man is it good! The Green Curry is my favorite, but Pad Thai is a close second. The crispy duck smells amazing, but I keep forgetting to try it. Next time!

DONT EAT HERE OR BLAME YOURSELF IF YOU GET SICK. This place changed alot and used to be a good restaurant Under new owner, its crap. I ordered the same food as always, got overcooked rice that was cold, extremely spicy veggies (i order no spice) and the chicken was the most disgusting rubberish fat-only piece of meat i ever had in my mouth. I pointed all this to managment but all they just smiled and didnt do nothing to adressed the issue i told them i wont eat with them anymore and again they just smile and bow their heads totaly retarded 2 hours After getting home i got sick and start throwing up ended up with fever as well. Dont eat here!

Been in orlando for a week and was tired of eating fast/american food. Since i'm 100 percent thai i was excited to see a thai restaurant, however i was very disappointed with the food here. Not only was the food not up to par but the prices were ridiculously expensive. I tried to stay away from ordering things that were expensive. I saw the papaya salad with sticky rice was 15.95. That is crazy. I'm born and raised in NY and there are no places in NY that charges 15.95 for papaya salad unless it is being served with grilled chicken. And NY is very expensive in general. Since i'm on vacation i would not be coming back here but i decided to write a review so others dont make the same mistake by trying this place! I feel bad cause i wanted to like this place... Also they add carrots to everything. Which is not supposed to be in any of the dishes!

Sawasdee-Ka, and you are too late! You give Thai food a BAD NAME!!! Literally the worst Thai food I have ever had anywhere in the world!!! It's a tragedy this place is actually in business! We ordered four different kinds of curry and they all looked and tasted the same. The hostess (presumably the owner) did not even know any difference! All of us have lived in Asia for more than 10 years and have traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and this place literally ruined our evening. This place WAS good before, too bad they changed ownership to scammers who don't give a damn...

On a Friday night if you find yourself on Restaurant Row w/out reservations this place is spot on! Service was spot on. We love Thai & when going to a new Thai restaurant we order our go to dishes of Kee Mao rice & Phat grap ao to judge quality, flavor profile etc & they get full marks! We'll be back for sure!

Meh. I love Thai food. My best friend and I make it a point to get Thai every couple weeks, and we love to try new places. We came here yesterday and both ordered the masaman curry. While the service was very good, the curry itself was okay--just okay. I was not disappointed, but neither was I bowled over. You won't feel ripped off, but it won't be the best Thai you'll ever have.

5 stars for the pad thai and everything else I've tried so far is average so 3 stars... So 4 stars since the pad thai is THAT GOOD! I'll keep coming back because it's convenient and I love the pad thai :) the interior is authentic and unpretentious and the service is always good. Addendum: Take out pad thai was lacking sauce...it was just OK. Also went here again and pad thai wasn't made as other times I've had it... So I guess it's a hit or a miss... But I'll still keep coming back for now in hopes for a hit.

Ok, im going to be as honestly as humanly possible here... My wife and I went to this restaurant about 3 years ago when we first moved to the Dr. Phillips area, we both LOVE Thai and honestly, i can't remember to much about the meal we had 3 years ago but i can remember that neither of us ever wanted to come back and we never have until this eve... We were driving, we wanted Thai, or normal favorite spot called Viet Thai was closed on Monday said we both said "let's try the Thai place across from our house again", so we did and the story goes like this... We walk in, place was pretty empty and we got seated fairly quickly. We sat about 10 minutes with 2 heavy menus and the hostess/waitress came up to ask to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. Before we could get the word "waters" out of our mouths she bolted away and i quickly called her back and said "we would like an appetizer too", she pulled out a pad, wrote it down and walked away. First red flag... I asked for "Sriracha" and she said "no, we don't have that". Really??? What Thai restaurant doesn't carry Sriracha hot sauce!?!?! She came back with the appetizer which was summer rolls, pretty much the role is stuffed full of lettuce but it was very bland, and boring without good hot sauce. We placed our order and this time we got a different, not very friendly lady, she took my order which wasn't too complicated (Pad Thai, no scallions, extra hot) and my wife got some type of soup. We sit for about 15 minutes and they bring my Pad Thai out, covered in scallions and caramelized onions and then they walk away leaving my wife with nothing. We sit for about 10 more minutes then they bring her soup out. I've been to just about every Thai restaurant on the map in Central Florida/Tampa and there are handful that are REALLY good but this place is just awful. Pad Thai with caramelized onions mixed in? Tasted horrible, and it wasnt hot at all! I asked the waitress and she said "oh, that hottest we got". It wasn't hot at all but whatever. Bottom line is, i don't know who all these people are reviewing saying this is the "best Thai restaurant ever" but they obviously do not have a clue about good Thai food. This is bar none the worst. I knew there was a reason we have avoided it the last 3 years and now we just got reminded. Oh i forgot to mention its quite overpriced, my Pad Thai, her soup and a order of summer rolls, close to $50.00. What a complete joke. In my opinion, the best Thai in Orlando is Viet Thai. They know what they are doing! About the only good thing i have to say about this restaurant was they had good, working free WIFI. I would not recommend this venue and recommned you put it on your places to avoid list.

What a great find. Our orders were simple- won ton soup for me and pork pad Thai for my sweetheart. The soup was perfect with nicely flavored broth and chock full of vegetables. Won tons had mince chicken and shrimp- perfect bundles. Pork pad Thai had generous amount of tender pork with noodles, carrots and bean sprouts. We have traveled twice to Thailand in the last 2 years. This food rivals our best meals there.

Ayothaya is a pretty average Thai place and considering Orlando is for some reason a hub of Vietnamese and Thai immigrants, you could really do better. Though I have been going here for some time, it's been for one reason only. I'm a Thai food fanatic and this is the closest restaurant to my house. I cannot help but feel a sense of lackluster creep into my subconscious whenever I take a trip here. Each occasion I realize that I could be having a superior meal over on Colonial, but for that moment, the food at Ayothaya can suffice, but not give me the type of sensory feeling I as a patron deserve from my Thai Hot curry. Ayothaya has some solid dishes and among these, their Pai Thai is superior. The Panang and Red Curry are solid, but nothing more. The Pad Ped is notably quite delicious and is almost-exclusively found at Ayothaya for some unfair reason. The food is definitely not a major concern, its just not as savory and flavor-attack inducing as my favorites. It is worth noting that take out here is a load worse than eating-in. I am not sure why, but take out is oily and is instead appetizer-killing. I stopped getting take out from here altogether after I repeatedly got Panang which felt unusually grimy, odd considering Orlando Thai food is especially low on oil and fattiness. Their food is a whole heck of a lot better than some of the other Thai restaurants in the area, but their service is not up to par. It takes multiple requests to get more water, and more than once have we felt forgotten as we sit for more than fifteen minutes, waiting for that bill. It has become a far too often occasion to be ignored. I'll continue to go here if traffic is bad and we're looking for a closer restaurant, but each time, this restaurant plays the same role over and over again. A stopgap until I can finally get my hands on some of the best Asian food in the city, down over in Colonialtown.

Why is it so hard to find great Thai food in Orlando? If just one restaurant would make amazing Thai food, they would get all the customers! The restaurant only had 3 tables of people, so they weren't busy at all when I went. Their service was very very slooooow. The food was just ok. Needless to say, my search continues.....

This place is great for Thai cuisine. I love their Tom Yum soup and their roast duck, the flavors are very good and original. Also try their Thai iced tea, it is amazing!

Awesome thai food experience. One of the most flexible options in order food around here. Word of caution for spicy food enthusiasts - order medium as it is more spicier than you expected. Wonderful service and ambience is perfect. Con Iis that it is the tad expensive price you've to pay for a food you are going to enjoy.

I've been several times and it seems it's under new management and not doing so well. We waited 40 minutes for our food which, at lunch is crucial, and then had to get it to go, it came cold, we were forced to pay $30 for a lunch we didn't get to eat. The servers are sweet and everything else was NO WAY. Sorry, never again.

Two words! stay away! We waited forever to order once we did she repeated it twice so I would assume they would bring the order out correctly but nope, that didn't happen. Also, my husband's meal must have gotten done first because they brought his entree out and left me to stare at him while he ate. He was half way done with his entree when they finally brought mine! (By the way it was just a soup)!!!!! And.....watch out! They include the grat on the bill so if you don't look closely you will end up tipping twice for bad service. ... Do yourself a favor and go down Sandlake Rd a little further to Viet Thai which has Amazing food!

It's one of the worst thai places I've been. Service subpar, friendly enough. Had crab cakes that looked like frozen chicken nuggets meat. I ate during lunch break and I paid 30 for 1. Won't give this place a second chance
We have given this place 3 tries and.... we give up now. Each time we go we have assumed the service was bad because of a larger party that was there. We've given it so many tries because we live super close by and we love Thai! Well, we went on a slow night recently and it was as bad or worse than the other two tries. There were long waits between drinks, no "passion" from the servers about the menu, short responses to questions and the food was just ok. I've been to probably 35 Thai places in and around central florida and will continue to go to my top 2-3 Thai places. (#1 is Soong Thai;)

Decent food but terrible service. Hear on a Friday night and was not that busy but they never ONCE offered to refresh our drinks. I mean YOU don't want to sell more drinks. The waitress was rude, not kind in anyway. I would avoid this place

Absolutely authentic Thai cuisine. The food is amazing and there was not one complaint about the quality of the food. The service spoils everything. The waiter was rude and the food was served incorrectly so that most of the table had finished their main course before others were served. In the end, we had to wait so long that that the delay meant that the place closed before they served dessert! When we asked for the dessert menu we were told that we had run out of time and we had to leave. On top of that there was a 'mandatory' service charge added to the bill. I must say it got quite heated when our whole table voted NOT to pay the service charge. The management were not impressed (but we were not impressed by the service). What a shame because the food was really good.

Living in the west coast for many years doesn't compare to Orlando when it comes to Thai good. I have been to several Thai places here in Orlando and this is by far the best one... One thing I've learned in my many years of eating Thai is that you never go for the service... The food here is in my opinion just ok and gets the job done for when you are craving Thai food... Lunch portions are time and overpriced, I have been here about 10 times and the quality has declined tremendously and the dishes themselves are too inconsistent.... Mild sometimes comes out super spicy and other times extremely spicy...lol... Other times the dishes come out super salty and other times pretty bland... But like I said it's convenient in the area and when your craving a Thai tea or pad Thai it's easy to get in... But if you have more time to travel your better off going to SEA Thai on the east side of town, or Napasoorn downtown.

What a nice place ! It was a lovely restaurant and great service also the best food in town! Me and my boyfriend went there yesterday, the waitress was very nice and polite. The food was so good, very thai taste (we ordered spicy and it was real spicy) and the atmosphere was comfortable with the thai songs Loved it! (But couldn't understand tho lol) anyway we will come back for sure !!

I was a little iffy with this place, but we decided to try it since all of the other Thai places closed already and we were really craving! We got the shrimp rolls, Tom Yum soup with shrimp, Pad Kee Mow with beef (drunken noodles), the calamari, and the pork laab. The shrimp rolls were hot and perfect with the sweet and spicy sauce. The tom yum soup was good, spicy, and tangy, The Pad Kee Mow was delicious as it should be. The calamari also good, but it's kind of hard to mess that up. The pork laab was also satisfying, but I like Siamese's in NOLA better. I was quite impressed, despite mixed reviews. The restaurant had nice decor, maybe a little over the top, but I like that it's decorated. It had a nice feel to it. The only downfall would be the prices. It's a tad bit expensive, but understandable because of its location. Overall, it totally satisfied my Thai cravings!

P10 with chicken is my fav! Ask for it med or hot. I use to work close by and probably ate here once a week. Staff is extremely nice and they always remember me when I go in. Don't forget to add 2 veggie spring rolls to your P10!

I usually have thai food in Thai town back in California. The food and service here is great, but only if u can appreciate good Thai food. You must try the pad Thai and the papaya salad.

Service is horrible even with the added service charge. Food is probably on par with the service. We ordered the tom kha soup which tastes almost like water and the Penang curry was also extremely watery, and had a lack of the coconut flavor. Worst Thai food I've ever had by far.

I'm really chill, laid back and easy to please. I can't believe the service in this place! Wanted to have a nice happy time with family here and ended up TOTALLY opposite. I could go on but I will keep it short. Worst waitress ever. We were rushed. Not attentive. I had to get up to ask for things. Not detailed about certain pricing(found out when we got check). Added gratuity which was not deserved. Talked back and lied when we spoke to manager. Manager was rude also. I can't believe this was happening considering the pricing of their mediocre food!!! NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN! I would give 0 stars if I could.

The Good: - The Beer was cold - Glad I don't have to eat here again The Bad: - I had to serve my own beer (something expected at a dive bar) - Our server must have been having a bad day, was not very attentive or welcoming - No music in the background made for an eery dining experience. The Ugly: - I ordered the beef larb...don't order this dish. Why you ask? First of all they used ground beef, I literally took one bite and felt like I was eating a Thai version of Hamburger Helper. I tried another bite and confirmed this was a poor dish not worthy of such a beautiful restaurant and culture.

The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Two reasons why I did not award 5 stars: 1. They did not offer many choices for kids except for satay chicken. Luckily my daughter loved the noodle dish that I ordered . 2. They do not have brown rice .

Love going here for my Thai spicy fix, I can't help it I always start with the thom ka chicken soup with coconut milk, I order it medium spicy and it's just so delicious! I've also tried other dishes such as the red curry chicken, the vegetable with basil and jasmine rice, the sweet Thai iced tea helps wash down the spice level, this is a very good Thai restaurant I tell everybody I can to try it!

We have been looking for a good Thai restaurant in Orlando for awhile now and by far this has been the best one so far. Unfortunately for us we compare the Thai to our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Brandon, FL called Jasmine Thai. We found Ayothaya by the recommendations on Yelp. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was good considering they were busy with a few large parties. I had the Pad Thai which was very good and more than enough to bring home leftovers! My husband had Panang with Chicken. He said it was okay but was served in a bowl almost like a soup, which was very strange to us. The Coconut Soup was very, very good! We will definitely be back, especially for the soup!

Service is bad. The waitress probably had a sad day. She looked sad and didnt want to take our order. Food are ok. Pad Thai and Tom yum soup is pretty good but the green curry is so so. All the dishes are a little bit sour.

Our favorite restaurant in Orlando! We dined here five times during our weeklong stay. Recommendations: - Red curry - the best! We like it more than red curry in California. That says a lot. :) - Pad See Eww - Panang curry - Pad Thai - Pad Kee Maow Prices are on the high side during dinner, but the portion size is big. We took leftovers home and ate them for late night dinner.

I keep trying this place periodically, hoping it will trip my trigger, because it's close. But I've never had anything here that was really better than average. Noodle dishes tend to be overcooked, and the appetizers are mostly fried and oily. My dining companions on a recent trip found most of the current dishes somewhat one-dimensional. I think salads are the best bet here.

I guess the fact that the place was DEAD at 8 PM on a Friday night was my first sign that we should've gotten the hell out. However a quick Yelp search with mostly positive reviews made me think to give the place a chance. *sigh* I'm doing my review of this restaurant primarily on the food. The decor is nice, blah blah. My party and I ordered "fried calamari" and seafood salad to share as appetizers. For entrees we had red curries (duck and pork) and seafood pad thai. The calamari was pretty disappointing. It was nothing more than a squid onion ring. It was covered in a really thick panko bread crumb batter. We had originally wanted papaya salad, but they ran out of papaya and instead recommended the seafood salad. "It tastes just like the papaya salad!" Lol, no, it really didn't. The seafood in the salad was good, but the garlic in it was overpowering. It left my mouth with that spicy garlic taste. I just couldn't eat more than a few bites of it. I love papaya salad and this was absolutely nothing like it. At least they tried to recommend something?? I guess? While I didn't try the pork red curry, the duck was subpar. I couldn't taste much coconut milk. The curry sauce was watery and a little too salty. The duck itself was mostly slices of duck skin with little portions of meat. The skin was very, very gummy, making it sort of unappetizing. There was no bit of crispiness to it that I've enjoyed in other versions of duck curry. Totally not worth the $18. The one highlight to the meal was the pad thai though. It was fairly decent pad thai. At least they got that right. All in all, "meh" really does sum up Ayothaya. In my opinion, it's really not worth the price. What a disappointment. DO skip this place and go elsewhere.

I'm not native to Orlando, but my family does go down there every year around Christmastime to hang out Disney World and escape the harsh Chicago winter. This year, I found myself with some time to hang with my mom! We both love Thai food more than the rest of the family, so we decided to scope out Yelp for some good Thai places. Ayothaya was the clear winner, and I can see why. We called ahead to make reservations (which we were quite late to), but when we got there it was no problem. They seated us right away. The place itself is VERY pretty and well thought out. It's clear someone spent a lot of time and energy on the decor and it works very well. The waitresses were all wearing these really pretty (what I can only assume to be) traditional Thai dresses. The ambiance was perfect. My mom and I split the Pad Thai and the Panang Curry, and I ordered a Thai Iced Tea. The iced tea was one of the best I've ever had! The Panang Curry and Pad Thai were both delicious, although the shrimp in the Pad Thai had been overcooked-- if I had to do it again, I'd just order Chicken Pad Thai. The service was stupendous, and the food was great. Easy five stars, minus one for the shrimp being so mediocre.

The food is good, but doesn't really stand out from other Thai restaurants I've eaten at. Houston has their fair share of Thai restaurants - from hole-in-the-walls to chains (Thai spice, Thai cottage, Nit Noi) - yet none of them is as expensive as Ayothaya. Goodness! I expected ~$15 dish was family style dish and could be shared with at least 4 people, but no! I can order the same dish somewhere else for $9 family style, split among 3-4 people and still have leftovers! We ordered several dishes (unfortunately they don't do family style) each person getting small servings for each dish just so everyone can get a taste. Ridiculous! We spent $100 on four non-family dishes, two sodas, and Thai tea!! Sorry Ayothaya, won't be coming back here on my next visit to Orlando. For the price you charge per dish, try serving larger portions as family style dishes. Your customers will walk out of there tummy and wallet-satisfied.

Went there our first day in FL because we didn't feel like eating fast food. The food was definitely nothing great but on top of that it was CRAZY expensive. We ordered one entree (for the table) and 4 appetizers and it cost us $67! The waitstaff was ok, although the uniform was a bit strange and they were slow. We won't ere eat here again anyway, since we are only here a week, but I would hate for anyone to make our mistake!

Truly disappointed...went here on a friday night only because the Thai place I really wanted to go to unfortunately closed (Thai Island) and boy, was I disappointed..I"ve basically tried most Thai places in the area and this by far is the worst. You would think that in the Restaurant Row area of Dr. Phillips, this would be great, but yeah NO!! Service was :( off the bat. We walked in, and waitress said Hello, but stood right where she was...towards the back of the restaurant. She didn't move at all to welcome us in and ask us how many in our party (and it wasn't like the restaurant was busy...3 tables the most). I always get the same order..Tom Yum Shrimp (a lilttle bland) and my Yum Nua (Beef Salad) and boy, was I disappointed. Beef salad had no taste whatsoever and it just seemed very dark in color. DO NOT recommend this place at all. I would rather drive downtown than come back here and I live not even 10 mins away from this place.

Sintastic! What a place. Like a well made sex change operation, Ayothaya is tucked away in a nook. They claim that they have won a bunch of awards in the country, but the food speaks for itself. The portions were perfect and the authenticity was fresh. I was bold and asked my food spicy and regretted it about a minute after getting it. Vegetarians have ample choices. The food was so good that as someone who likes to order one appetizer and one entree, I ended up also ordering a dessert.

On the way back from the seaworld my husband and I wanted to have a nice quiet dinner. We both love thai food so after reviewing several thai restaurants in town we decided to try this one- def ruined our last day of vacation in florida leaving us w frustration and anger. We had our sleeping baby in the stroller and when we expressed our wish to be seated in the booth area, the waitress said in annoyance "where should he go?!" Indicating that there wasn't much space for the stroller; but seriously it wasn't a big deal. This place is not big so ppl including all the waiters could have gone around nearby tables. The waitress even rolled her eyes in our face when we asked for chopsticks. It wasn't only her who was disrespectful. There was another older korean lady who made an extra noise , appeared to make exaggerate movements when she "tried" to pass the stroller. The food was decent but very average. I ordered yellow curry but the veggies were undercooked and the potatoes were hard. My husband ordered something that was supposed to be 15 bucks but the billed said it was 17. We found out that the waitress gave us the old menu..?! She came by our table twice and didn't even take away our dishes away after we finished w our appetizer and also didn't ask how the we liked the meal overall. Instead she just dropped the check on the table. When we wanted to order she simply said "what do you want?" But yes it wasn't because of her lack of english proficiency. I asked for a box to take home my left overs but never saw her come back. We are truly disappointed in our choice. It's quite rare for us to eat in peace since we have a child. So we were thrilled to have some time for ourselves while our son was sleeping. That's why we chose this restaurant. Instead we felt as if we were guilty for bringing our child and were not worth of respect. We are normally very generous with our tips since we both worked as waiters before and this was the first time for us to consider leaving no tips at all. In the end we left 15% but felt so frustrated. I'm only hoping this review will do some justice.

Ayothaya is a good Thai place for the neighborhood, because there aren't very many nice Thai options nearby. The restaurant is located in an upscale strip mall, and the place inside has nice decor and a classy feel. The food is fairly pricey compared to some other (and better) options in Orlando, but I guess you pay for the ambiance. The food itself is pretty good. My family has found some options that we all like, but we have also discovered a number of options that no one could stand. It's a bit of a hit-or-miss really.

We enjoyed our dinner here earlier this week. I had the pad woon sen, which was very tasty. Diners in our party also had the cashew chicken and the pad thai. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress was good and kept up with our needs. Most of their lunch dishes are right at $10. The same dishes are at least $15 at dinner. (Whether they are more food at dinner, I don't know.) I found this a little more than I expected but I still enjoyed my meal.

If I could, I would give this place NO STARS!! When you pay money to dine out, you're supposed to have a good experience not just in food, but in service as well. The food wasn't that great but it wasn't bad either. On the other hand, the service was awfully terrible!!! Let me begin: 1- The server (The Thai chick with the blond hair) greeted us with "Are you ready to order?" No "Hello, how are you? would you like something to drink?" NOTHING!! And the way she said it was "let's get this over with" type of attitude. 2-We were still waiting for the last person to arrive, she kept coming back asking the same thing "Are you ready to order?" when we specifically told her we were waiting on one more. 3- We ordered hot tea and saw on the menu that they charge 3.00 for it. My mom was curious to know if it was by the cup or by the pot. I asked the server, and she said it is 3.00 by the pot. Come to find out at the end of the meal we got charged 6.00 because she said it's 3.00 for the pot and 1.00 extra for each additional cup, which she didn't specify to us at all period. 4- We had to ask for silverware after the food have arrived. We shouldn't have to ask for something so simple. 5- The server never came back and did a quality check to see how our food was and never asked if we wanted anything else. 6- Water and hot tea was never refilled. 7- Server was more attentive to everyone else, She walked by our table and ignored us the entire time! 8- If you're paying up to 35.00 an entree, you would expect them to offer to box up your food for you, instead we had to ask for a box and a check, and to box it up ourselves. Not that boxing up ourselves matters, it's just the general principle of it.\ So at the end of our dinner, I noticed that the gratuity was added on to our bill. Usually I wouldn't care at all, but tonight after being ignored, I feel that our server (Chick with the blond hair) doesn't deserve the gratuity. I went up to talk to the manager (who is an older lady w/ short black hair) and told her what was going on. You would expect the manager to emphasize where you're coming from- WRONG! First of all, this lady didn't want to listen to what I had to say because she just kept saying "You don't want to pay for the tea?" I told her I don't think it's fair that I have to pay for something that wasn't thoroughly explained to me. She was getting more irritated and confused- so finally the other manager just stepped in and voided my payment. I just kept repeating myself saying that the service was horrible and the server walked by and said to me in front of both of her managers "You keep calling me every 5 minutes" When in actuality, she never even came to the table! Not only that, but my sister had to go up to the server station to tell her that she wanted her curry mild instead of medium. so how is it that we keep calling her every 5 minutes when this ****** never came and gave us any kind of service?!?! Not once did any of the managers apologize for her rude behavior. The only person that was apologetic was another server who didn't even take care of us. I have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times, and it will be my last time dining here. I will never come back again because of poor management and really bad wait staff skills. P.S. If you ever come eat here, please check to see if they add gratuity on your bill because they added gratuity on ours.

My wife and I were in Orlando for vacation, and stumbled upon this place because I was on a quest to buy a local beer that I can't get in Virginia (Cigar City Brewing Company's Humidor IPA). This place is in a strip mall two doors down from the liquor store I went to. Service was very good, and the food was even better. I love Thai food - and the first time I experienced it was when a father's classmate from Naval Postgraduate School (an officer in the Thai Air Force) brought us to an authentic place in DC. I can honestly say, that place is the bar I compare all Thai restaurants to. Ayothaya came the closest to that bar that I've ever seen. Authentic cuisine and delicious. The service was top notch as well. The next time we're in Orlando, I'll probably seek this place out...

Definitely a keeper in Orlando, good food places are hard to find in this town. Service was good, average prices and the food quality and quantity is very good, my seafood Tom yum noodle soup was superb, server recommended it with coconut milk in addition to the clear broth, hot = nailed it!

Thai cuisine in the heart of Restaurant Row. Almost every door opens into a different restaurant along this stretch of very upscale strip plaza or what is more affably known to locals and repeat guest alike as Restaurant Row. One such door opens to a whole different world. Welcome to Ayothaya. This restaurant has done a remarkably good job in recreating the Thai spirit and setting. There are very stylish Thai artifacts and wall art coupled with a very soothing atmosphere. The menu here is like most other local Thai restaurants with a few additions. Ayothaya specialties are common ingredients prepared their way and Ayothaya Creations are where the chefs demonstrates their abilities. There are several Market Price items which I am sure depends on portion size or what is available. On this occasion I was prive to try the Beef Noodle Soup which was clear and flavorful; The Pepper Steak, which exhibited signature pepper; Garlic Pork which was more black pepper than garlic; Spicy Frog Legs which was a treat of tender frog meat dressed in batter. All of these dishes were well balanced in flavor and texture. The presentation was nice and portions generous. This restaurant has managed to capture the Thai hospitality on a the very bustling Restaurant Row.

I have returned to Ayothaya several times over the past few months. The food has been in a bit of a decline of late. Spring rolls ordered today were quite greasy and flavorless. Similarly, my red curry did not offer much flavor at all. Service remains friendly but the food is increasingly uninspired.

Great little place. I came here with @lovenconfection today for lunch. Had the Pad Kee Mao noodles. I ordered medium today and not spicy. I love me some SPICY. Today played it safe. The Thai food is delicious here but here is the best part of it. The customer service is amazing. The team is super friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in. @lovenconfection had the Pad Thai and it smelled delicious. She said it is very good here. Located in the Dr Phillips area. Busy street but the restaurant wasn't busy for lunch. I heard it gets busy for dinner time. I will be coming back.

Excellent Thai food. I have been to Thailand many times and the food here is authentic. We had one of the best Yum Woon salads we have ever had. We also had great Tom Kha Goong soup and a special lettuce wraps appetizer. Portions were large. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that they had no fresh fish, only frozen. And they are in Florida surrounded by the sea. The service was excellent. Note that Google maps has the restaurant located a few blocks away from where it is. I called and the hostess guided me in. The decor is very nice.

Comforting, welcoming and attractive -- those were my impressions when I stepped inside this relatively unknown Thai spot on Sand Lake Restaurant Row. The soothing piano music made it just that more pleasant. It was named after the town of Ayothaya, in the Ayutthaya province. The menu features about a dozen appetizers, most of them standards on many Thai menus; a large assortment of soups and salads, noodle and fried rice entrees, and many curry dishes. I chose mild yellow curry with tofu, coconut milk, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cabbage, to be spooned over fragrant jasmine rice. I wish my system were able to tolerate spicy foods, but that would require a stomach/esophagus replacement operation. But this mild yellow curry, the mildest of those offered, still had a bit of kick in it and was flavorful. If Dr. Phillips were my work neighborhood, Ayothaya wouldn't be a frequent hangout, as it is on the expensive side for lunch. But this is Dr. Phillips, not Lee Road. A nice experience was had by all (me).

In the land of chain restaurants, this place is a god send. We have plenty of Thai places at home so I have high expectations. Ayothaya met and exceeded those expectations!! We ordered the pad thai, yellow curry, massaman curry, 3 taste fish and garlic shrimp. Everything was delicious!!! Each dish was overflowing with spices. Our mouths exploded with each flavorful bite. Our server was super attentive. Glasses were never empty and they continued to check-in with us throughout the meal. This place is a definite stop whenever we come back. Note: we had a sometimes loud baby and even though they were super nice and no dirty looks from other patrons, it's not the typical place for families. Much better for couples or a group of friends.

I ordered take-out from Ayothaya, and was glad that they do not deliver, otherwise, I would have never gotten a chance to enter this charming little restaurant. The employees were extremely kind, courteous and welcoming. The place was not that busy, but it was appointed very nicely, with traditional and non-traditional Thai decor. Although the place seems small, there were a decent amount of tables packed in, but not too closely together. When I opened my steaming container of Massaman curry, I instantly knew it would be delicious just from the aroma. I was right. The curry was perfect, very reminiscent of my travels to Thailand, and had the right amount of chicken and vegetables. They even had large chunks of crinkle cut carrots... my favorite! I would definitely go back here, but not on the regular as the prices are a little steep. Still, the food items I got were very tasty, so it definitely warrants 4 stars.

This Thai restaurant was beautiful inside and had great service. The food was good but not great and overpriced. We had the chicken satay, red and panang curry with steamed vegetables instead of rice, and the pumpkin custard. The red curry had lots of basil leaves which made it taste like liquorice. Too much for my preference (blame it on the long nights and early mornings with my college bestie Jager). The panang curry tasted great and was very runny/soupy. We did love how many veggies were served with each bowl of curry and that the steamed vegetables were served without sauce or salt, making it a very healthy substitute. The pumpkin custard was very eggy, with only an aftertaste of pumpkin. I love egg custard so I enjoyed it but wouldn't recommend it to foodies who aren't fans of gelatinous sweet eggs. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant knowing how fantastic and reasonably priced other thai places are.

Nothing special, had the beef laab. The food was cold and the spice level, while I had ordered medium, fearing the spiciness of Thai food, I ended up with 0 heat. I would have preferred at least a quarter of cabbage, rather than just peeled off leaves. The sticky rice was not bad.

Overpriced and not the best. Portions are too big. We had veggie rolls, the Ayothya salad, red curry and Panang. The curries were bland, the salad was ok but too big. Overall, the entrees are overpriced. We could have had a better meal at the Panera up the road.

Good food for all 6 of us. Pad thai, pad sew yew, cashew chicken, red curry, panang curry. Curries were very hot so maybe go with medium if you don't want it scorching.

On our family vacation, we used Yelp to find a local Thai restaurant. Yelp led us to this place. We had a party of ten people and we all enjoyed our meals. Yummy! When we go back to Orlando, we will definitely eat here again.

Excellent crab cake appetizer! Red curry was great, but their version of medium was a bit warmer than what I'm used to. Green curry was good as well! Atmosphere is really great. The service was a little bit slow, but very friendly! On a side note, beer is a wee bit expensive compared to the spots I usually go....no good for the drinkers!

Two friends and I visited Ayothaya Thai Cuisine tonight. We all agreed it was a nice atmosphere, good service and presentation. Unfortunately the papaya salad was soggy and very salty even after two attempts to resolve the issue. The other dishes we ordered were too salty as well. Sad to say but I know we will not be going back there any time in the future.

One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. The decor inside is really pretty. It's in a strip center and we just happened to spot is as we were driving by. The food was very fresh....Pad Thai was fantastic. And the yellow curry with tofu was good as well. Our server was dressed in a Thai garment and was very nice. She made suggestions and didnt' miss a beat on the service. In addition to it being a really charming place, it's extremely clean. Highly recommend.

Great food, but beware of the spice! My mother got the spicy seafood salad and I got the Panang Curry. My mother tried to ask for Thai Hot, but I convinced her to stick with Hot. My mother and I both grew up on Louisiana Cajun crawfish, so we thought we'd be fine. What a mistake! We both should have gotten Medium. We drank glass after glass of water. My lips were literally still burning an hour later!

Let me begin to tell you I'm a regular at Ayothaya. At least, once a week I would eat there. It's literally the best Thai food in Orlando. But why did I rate it 2 stars? Well, let me tell you recently they changed owners and i'm highly disappointed. I first notice something wasn't right when I walked in. The staff is usually really nice and calm but when I walked it they seem frustrated and disheveled. I also noticed they redecorated the place. I asked one of the staff if they changed owners and she replied "Kind of" with a weary smile. The staff really doesn't seem to like the new changes and it really showed. While waiting for my food which usually comes out pretty quick, TOOK FOREVER and they weren't even busy. As I sat there waiting I was a little worried to see if they food changed and by no surprise it did. I always order the same thing (chicken red curry and chicken pad tai) and the curry was SUPER bland and the chicken pad tai just didn't taste the same. I'd truly hate to see Ayothaya go downhill and hope the original owners take charge again!!!

I came here with my family last week and had a very good experience here. We got here about 9:15 at night and there were still people in the restaurant. It has a pleasant decor and we all enjoyed the atmosphere. Started off with some spring rolls and veggie rice wraps. Both were really good --I especially liked the peanut sauce served with the veggie wraps. As a main course, I got the Thai Green Curry Medium Spicy. I would really recommend going with medium unless you REALLY like your mouth to be on fire. I was debating between this and the hot, since I really do enjoy spicy food, but the medium is PLENTY spicy. If you want to kick it up a little, just ask your server to bring you a little side of the chilli paste that they use. I put a tiny bit in but trust me, this was all the heat you need! The curry was rich and flavorful and had some complex flavors that kept you coming back for more. I have gotten green curry all over and this was one of the better ones I have had. It was a really good sized portion and I even had some to take back to the hotel room to eat the next day. My dad had the yellow curry (with potato) and his was also beautifully done. I don't know how this person spent 128.00 on dinner (previous entry). Curry was $15 and appetizers were like $5. Really not overpriced at all and you do get what you pay for.

This isn't one of the most glamorous restaurants on the famous Orlando restaurant row. Ayothaya is a smaller sized place with nice decor and ambiance. Typical of the Orient with pretty wall hangings and obscure light fixtures. I was disappointed they didn't have my favorite dish, cashew chicken, on the menu. Instead I had to order another spicy chicken dish which I found good but not as good as some of the other Thai places I've encountered in Orlando. But the pad Thai my dinner companion ordered was enjoyable and the lemon grass soup we started with was refreshing. Ayothaya may not be the best Thai place around but its not bad.

Gracious hostess had our table for seven ready at our arrival, on one hour reservation beforehand. 7 PM on a weekday, empty but quickly filled. She advised the vegetarians in our party of meatless options, service was a tad slow due to sudden influx, but the presentation of all items was exquisite. Spicy-ness ratings were right on par with our home Thai restaurants, with "Thai hot" only for the initiated. Elegant Thai decor, except for the elevator piano music ! Entrees mostly at $ 15 , $ 135 for 7

We absolutely loved this place while we were there. We ate here twice despite of the high prices. I agree it is very expensive. The first time our check was $128.00 for Four people. 3 adults one child. The second time it was $107.00 for 3 adults one child. So, the prices are high but the food is good and the service is worth it. I will sure go back to this place if i ever go back to Florida.

(4)Rory D.
(5)Christopher P.

During orlando trip we ate here .. Spring roles are good and Basil chicken is great ..and Fried rice is good as well I found food little bit on the higher price in comparison with quantity which was a very less portion
(3)Joanne K.
(1)Zhan Z.

Don't come to this horrible place, we have been sitting here about 10 mins, and no one had takent the.time to take care of us.the People who came behind us.they got taking care of and then when i got my noodle. it Tasted very salty. very disappoint it.. what a wasted of money and time
(1)Lynnette L.
Still my favorite Thai in Orlando - consistently outstanding with fast excellent service.
(5)Amanda Q.
(3)Johanna G.

(1)Stephen H.
(4)Christine B.
The food here is so flavorful and tasty! I will definitely be coming back! The service is great on top!

(3)Ava K.
(2)Michael M.
This place is great for Thai cuisine. I love their Tom Yum soup and their roast duck, the flavors are very good and original. Also try their Thai iced tea, it is amazing!
(5)Christie R.
Good service, fresh, tasty ingredients. My 5 year old says he loves his chicken satay... Not just likes it! Great pad Thai!
(4)Dmachop C.
(4)katie h.

(2)Aireen C.
Worse service ever!!! We were very disappointed with every item we ordered. First our summer roll didn't come with shrimp and the server argued that we didn't order it with shrimp! Then, our papaya salad was served as an entrée with meat and when we tried to send back for meatless, again the server argued that it's on the menu when clearly the place setting on every table is a menu with ingredients and they again argued that those are not there menus! And then the panang dish was soupy ! And we never saw out server once our food was dropped off. We had to wave another server. Ordering another beer or getting refills was impossible! Really?! I thought customer service was about making customers happy and not arguing with customers?! This was my first time and last. I will never come here ever again!!!

(2)Alan S.
Decent food but terrible service. Hear on a Friday night and was not that busy but they never ONCE offered to refresh our drinks. I mean YOU don't want to sell more drinks. The waitress was rude, not kind in anyway. I would avoid this place
(1)Crystal B.

(5)Alekzander R.
I usually have thai food in Thai town back in California. The food and service here is great, but only if u can appreciate good Thai food. You must try the pad Thai and the papaya salad.
(5)Binal P.
Service is horrible even with the added service charge. Food is probably on par with the service. We ordered the tom kha soup which tastes almost like water and the Penang curry was also extremely watery, and had a lack of the coconut flavor. Worst Thai food I've ever had by far.
(1)Nina P.

(1)Shoba S.
(4)Barbara A.
(4)Donna B.
(4)Catherine W.
Service is bad. The waitress probably had a sad day. She looked sad and didnt want to take our order. Food are ok. Pad Thai and Tom yum soup is pretty good but the green curry is so so. All the dishes are a little bit sour.
(3)Yoon P.
(5)Lori K.
This place was great. Appetizers were good chicken pad Thai was fantastic and the service was friendly. Highly recommend!
(5)Steve A.
(3)Faye S.

(4)Donna A.
(2)Elle M.
Worst meal and service I experienced in orlando. It was very overpriced. I ordered I papaya salad without shrimp and was charged $15.95. Basically stay away.. Go to nardeva instead.
(1)Irene H.

(3)Joe L.
I checked this place out while I was on a business trip in Orlando and I'm glad I did. The food was really good and the waitresses were friendly. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
(4)Beth F.

Up there with the best I have had - perfect spice, plenty of food - Went boring with Pad Thai but it was GREAT Good and very nice service :)

(4)Carlos L.

(4)David M.
I have returned to Ayothaya several times over the past few months. The food has been in a bit of a decline of late. Spring rolls ordered today were quite greasy and flavorless. Similarly, my red curry did not offer much flavor at all. Service remains friendly but the food is increasingly uninspired.
(3)Marvin M.
(4)Ida R.
Great food....but service could be way better!
(4)Richard R.
(4)Tom B.

(4)Brittany B.
(3)Kent H.
Nothing special, had the beef laab. The food was cold and the spice level, while I had ordered medium, fearing the spiciness of Thai food, I ended up with 0 heat. I would have preferred at least a quarter of cabbage, rather than just peeled off leaves. The sticky rice was not bad.
(3)Joe S.
Great food good size portions. Nice atmosphere and staff service was great.
(5)Jason K.
Got the Panang Curry.... Tasted excellent and the portion was huge... Great Thai Iced Tea and starters... Highly suggested

Is a good place for good thai food...try the deserts

We have eaten here several times and each experience has been better than the last. The food is top notch and so is the service. The massaman curry is the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.
(5)Jessica S.
The yellow curry was very delicious! The waitress was friendly. The ambiance was amazing and even the bathroom was beautifully decorated. Always tip your waiter or waitress generously! :)
(4)Tom P.
Great place to eat. I eat lunch there once a week.
(5)J T.
Overpriced and not the best. Portions are too big. We had veggie rolls, the Ayothya salad, red curry and Panang. The curries were bland, the salad was ok but too big. Overall, the entrees are overpriced. We could have had a better meal at the Panera up the road.
(2)Cindy F.
Good food for all 6 of us. Pad thai, pad sew yew, cashew chicken, red curry, panang curry. Curries were very hot so maybe go with medium if you don't want it scorching.
(4)Jenn W.
On our family vacation, we used Yelp to find a local Thai restaurant. Yelp led us to this place. We had a party of ten people and we all enjoyed our meals. Yummy! When we go back to Orlando, we will definitely eat here again.
(5)Leah I.
(4)Anil J.
good food in a cozy atmosphere,

Best Authentic Thai food in town especially Pad Thai & Three Taste Fish!
(5)Xiangyu Z.
I simply loved their food! The only possibe issue was the price - kinda expensive.

Food is good. Portions are OK. Service is good. Prices are just crazy for Thai food.

Delicious Thai. Good variety. Start with the Panang Chicken, hot.

I found this restaurant here in YELP thank you very much. One of the best THAI restaurant I've been so far. I love Yellow Curry with Tofu and Chicken. The Beef Pad Thai is the best. The location is really nice and very quiet.

Two stars for the ambiance. Food very average. Very nice wait-person, though. A big let-down for "restaurant row".
