The best arepas I have ever had. Im from Chicago and was in Florida for a week this was defiantly a great place to try. Too bad there arent any here in Chicago :(

5 Stars because this is the type of biz that makes me love Yelp! You'd never imagine that there was a locally-loved eatery parked outside of Hash Hash a Go Go on I-Drive and if you didn't check these reviews you would never stop to eat here. I ordered the everything arepa based on the owner's suggestion. When they say everything, they mean it- We're talking shrimp, chicken, even potato salad! It was a great suggestion! I also dig that they have high top tables for you to eat at. Nothing bugs me more than going to a food truck rally and having to figure out how one should approach an arepa one-handed. Final tip- load up on the pink sauce. It's deliciously tangy! I'll definitely be returning to this authentic spot anytime I'm in the area.

My girlfriend and I were having "nerd day"... We decided to go try a fully loaded arepa. Parking sucks so you have to park in front of the gas station. They have tables but no chairs so I didn't like that. Plus it was too hot to sit outside. I honestly think they are to expensive I paid almost $20 for 2 arepas. They were "fully loaded". We got our food really quick so I was happy about that BUT it was super messy and I didn't like that everything was layered I would prefer for it to be mixed up in the arepa. Over all... I wasn't to excited nor happy so I would not go again. It was meh.

Don't know why I was skeptical about trying this place all the pictures looked good yet I was worried it was one of those places that just looks good had an arepa and the deditos de queso (cheese fingers) which were delicious definitely recommend this place
(5)Lia B.
Tourists looking for something different and affordable, we ventured to this food truck for our first meal of the trip. We each had an everything and added pink sauce. To say it's excellent would be an understatement. Highly recommend!!!
(5)Heston C.
Very interesting food. The cacou is pretty big and filling. The hot sauce condiment is very hot so pour with caution. The never tried this before but good :)

2nd visit and yes it was worth the driving. It was a choice between this food truck or sit down diner. My best visited from out of states and it was best. Please do not fool by the food truck, better than any stores in town.
(5)Jean-Paul R.
Went to brunch at Hash House A Go Go and there was an hour waiting list so decided to get an arepa snack while I waited. Best decision ever. The arepas are delicious! Ended up not even eating at Hash House.
(5)Catherine C.
Awesome arepas stuffed with generous portions of meat and toppings. Cheap prices and fast friendly service makes this a goto place for us when we need fast food. All the friends we have brought to this place love it. Garlic sauce is so yummy!

I came here for the first time the other day to satisfy my pregnant wife's craving for arepas. Now, I'm not an expert on Venezuelan cuisine, but these are some of the best arepas I've personally tried so far. Super crispy exterior with a huge range of fillings (you can choose up to five -- it's $6 no matter what). We got one with shredded beef, chicken salad, and queso guayanes, and it definitely hit the spot. Also, for $6, it's a pretty good deal. Our arepa was big enough that it would have filled both of us up just splitting it along with a guanabana juice (around $3, but so worth it). We also got a cachaps con queso, which wasn't quite as good as some I've had before. It tasted slightly overlooked, and it was a little more spongy than I would have liked, although it was still tasty. For that, I would probably knock off half a star. But the arepas are really the main feature here, and anyone looking to try some good ones should check this place out. A quick note on where they're located: I don't know if they ever move around, but every time I've driven by this way I've seen them in the same spot in the parking lot adjacent to Hash House A Go Go on International. Super easy to find, but watch out -- there's a ton of construction in the area right now.

Driving around starving with not many places open late that's not fast food. Stumble upon a food truck while searching for place to eat. At first I was iffy to go to a food truck, but this place had a line of customers waiting so I was convinced it must be that good. Boy were they right! It was amazing!!!! Got me thinking about it and craving it the next day. I ordered the combination of spreaded beef, shrimps, and quail eggs. That one order came out to be $15. Bit much for a food truck, but it was quite tasty. Even though the menu had English wordings, the workers had no idea what i was saying. Luckily a customer behind was bilingual and us helped us out. Definitely a Must Try!

I am quickly developing a great love for arepas. . . or perhaps an addiction. . . I'm becoming an arepaholic. . .It's the fluffy, corn cloud filling that drives me nuts! OMG, I can taste it right now. . .It's seriously a reason to give thanks for taste buds. Skip the napkins-- you will need to bring a towel to eat these. I was glad I had a brand new bottle of shout stain remover at the house after eating one. They are super messy! And you know what, I DON'T CARE!!! It's worth it! Don't call them and expect a conversation in English. I was thrilled to get some practice in Spanish so that's a part of the thrill of it. I love these arepas so much that I drove out to get some on cinco de mayo . . .even though I know it didn't really "count," it's what I wanted!

We were on a mission to find this truck. We went out around 8:00pm and then it started to pour. We didn't see it at the crossroads stated but knowing food trucks that means it's in the general area. Part of me kept thinking that they went home early due to the rain and yet I wouldn't give up. Finally, half a mile past the address we found the truck. We ordered two beef, two chicken and two shrimp. They were all tasty and filling but the beef won me over. It had the most flavor. The combination of beef, cheese and egg was amazing. Unlike so many South Florida food trucks you actually get full off of one arepa. Can one of you drive down once in a while?

My cousin and I had wanted to go to the Food Truck pod tonight, but were worried about how crowded it would be. He had been to this truck many times when it used to be parked near the Ale House. It's now parked on International Drive next to Del Taco. We walked right up with no waiting! Awesome! You have the choice of what you'd like in your arepa. I went with the beef and queso blanco. He had the chicken salad. We also got a few of the sauces to take with us. I preferred the hot one and the garlic one. I had never had an arepa before this. I've seen them, so it was time to try. They were only $5 and looked small when they were handed to us. Boy, was I wrong. It weighed a ton! And I am more than full after eating it. Would I rush back for another one? Probably not. But I can see where he would enjoy them after a night of drinking at the Ale House. Very filling!

Love this place. We drive to I Dr from Apopka just to get these. Our favorite is the chicken salad with avacado and cheese. We have tried aprepas other places these are the best. They are crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside.
(5)Joey D.
Pretty sure they put crack in their food. It is sooooo good! The only downside is that your tastebuds will want more than one, but their so hearty and amazing that your stomach just can't do it!

Came here for the first time with my girlfriend at 2am and we loved it! Being from Miami, there aren't too many places here in central fl for good Hispanic food especially places open so late. But we found a good one, guys! I ordered a shredded chicken and cheese arepa and my girlfriend ordered one with everything. My arepa came out fresh, steaming hot and it was perfect! My gf loved the shrimp in her arepa and she's determined to try just the shrimp next time with cheese. Needless to say this place brought us back to Miami for a brief moment. We shall return, Mr. Arepa Man!

I wish I could say great things about this food truck, however, I never found it (at midnight on a Friday night). After checking their twitter page and trying to call the number on their yelp profile, it was unclear whether they were open or where they were. Based on yelp reviews it seemed pretty clear that they were near the Del Taco near Intl Drive and Grand National. So I drove over, and couldn't find it (found another food truck though). I even asked inside the Del Taco, and drove around for about 10 mins before giving up and just going to Del Taco. What a bummer, as I was really excited to try the place. But if they can't post accurate hours/location information then there's not much I can do. Update on 8/19: owner sent me a note saying they have a new number and have updated their website. Upping star rating from 1 to 3 for the improvements and the communication, however I still haven't tried an arepa (I live in MA) so I can't speak for those.

DELICIOUS!!! After my first visit to this food truck, I was HOOKED!! I don't live anywhere near International Drive but I make the trek out there simply to enjoy a delicious Arepa from this truck. My husband and I both love the arepas and the staff has always been friendly. For $5 you will leave this truck stuffed! You can get up to 5 different items in your arepa, a good selection of cheese and the wonderful wonderful sauces that they offer as well. Caution- it's messy but that's part of the fun! We bring our camping chairs and sit out near the truck while we devour our arepas. Make sure to grab some napkins when you get your order, or even better yet bring some wipes!! If you're near the I-Drive area I highly suggest you swing by this food truck. Heck- make the drive out there, it will be worth it! I'm crossing my fingers and hope that they start attending the food truck bazaars. I know one of the staff members told me they didn't plan on going to any others (they went to Oviedo once)... but I'm hoping that changes!

This placed is awesome, Restaurant quality food in a truck. Around 35 bucks for 4 people.

Accidentally made a wrong turn and bumped into this place. First time having this genre of food and it was delish. We ordered a beef Arepas and "vegetarian" corn cake. Planned to go the day after but looks like its only open at nights. Missed out but was good while it lasted. The sauce was really good too.

Now I know why Venezuela has produced so many supermodels and Miss Worlds. They eat this thing, called arepas. Hold on, this little thing is healthy? Who cares the models look great I am in. A soft little pocket made with corn flour, cooked on a flat top filled with delicious goodness, with juices oozing is exactly what comes out of this bright new truck. Just hold up a finger and say, "with everything, however, you make it." The fillings are white cheese, gouda, soft white cheese, handmade cheese, beef, ham, chicken, pork, shrimp, black beans with cheese, crab salad, and chicken salad. Every item was fresh and delicious. The sauces are chimichurri, (in a bowl), red spicy, green pepper and cilantro, white garlic, reddish mayo and ketchup (in bottles). If one is doing take away, ask for little plastic to go containers. I prefer to add everything. I observed a Spanish lady grubbing and she had a unique stance. Her younger companions explained that in order to have a complete experience one should lean over, open pouch, dig in, until the entire thing is gone, and wash down with favorite beverage. Simple enough. Standard street eating practice. This little pocket was a blast. All the flavors exploded to make a delicioso quickie. Keep filling our stomachs.
(4)Roger P.
Excellent for after party food, the only thing that I eat here is arepas, is a corn cake stuffed with whatever you can imagine, shrimp, beef, cheese etc etc etc.
(4)Angel A.
This is the best food truck, the guys are amazing, the arepas are big enough, the ingredients are always good, my daughter love the cachapas, the natural juices are really Good!!!!!!!!. I'm give 5 stars. Keep going. and they speak English and Spanish
(5)Sonya M.
Fast, inexpensive, and delicious! Very filling, so make sure that you come with an appetite, or plan on splitting one with someone~

Decided to try this food truck after reading a post on Droolius' blog. His pictures were enough to lure me in! Arepas El Cacao is located off of I-Drive & Grand National Dr in the parking lot right next to Del Taco. Not sure what to try as it was my first time there, I asked them for a recommendation and was told to try the combination arepa. It had a little bit of everything in it.. cheese, beef, pork, shrimp, chicken salad.. you name it. This $5 arepa was packed with so much goodness the ingredients were falling out! Be sure to grab some napkins because it was definitely messy. The arepa itself was cooked perfectly and had a nice crisp on the outside. With all of the ingredients added in this arepa, there was a bit of grease that accumulated and a little heavy, a bit too much for my liking. The combination arepa was too much for me to finish so next time I'll probably go for something more simple.

The food and workers ARE GREAT! Very Tasty food and always very fresh! Open late so perfect for after the club!

Amazing authentic venezuelan food!!!!
(5)Chris B.
I was kind of disappointed by the selection at the one food truck 'roundup' I've been to so far, but very glad I choose to hang around and sit in line for a few minutes to grab an arepa from this truck. No prices listed but apparently all the arepas are $5, which is a pretty good deal for the size and quality. Had a mixture of beef and chicken w/queso, you could taste the sofrito on the meat and the cornmeal bread gave it a nice sweetness. Would eat again.

Total serendipitous find as I was looking for a quick bite before boarding the bus to see a Space Shuttle launch. Kind of a sandwich-y thing on flat round bread, with different meats, cheese, spices, sauces, etc. Cheap, different, and delicious. The various sauces were off-the-hook; I got an extra arepa for the ride. Great freshly-made juices and smoothies, too. Friendly service.
(4)Jocelyn K.
So delicious. Had the black beans and cheese arepa and soooo delicious. I'm not a fan of the corn arepas, and this one was on a delicious homemade flour tortilla thing.. though they do also have the cordn cake arepas. Tons of selections too! I don't live close to I-Drive and hate going there for fear of being trampled by tourists- but I will go back and find this truck! 4 stars becuase it is ridiculously messy and they don't offer forks. Npkins are like toilet paper.. BYO forks and napkins!!
(4)Dalila H.
Being Venezuelan you can get picky to proclame a true, tasteful and recommendable arepa. Guys these are deliciously authentic stuff!
(5)Kelly M.
5. Yeah, I did it. 5 stars. This food truck was out of control amazing. I may be slightly obsessed with arepas right now. We ordered two: the first was shrimp and white cheese (cilantro and other goodies on it). It was fantastic. The second, we asked the guys working what he eats there - it was the El Cacao 1 (beef). Holy Taste Buds, Batman!! It had several things I would never think about putting all in a corn pocket - shrimp, beef, egg salad, chicken salad, peas ... I don't even know what else it had. Get. It. I may need it tomorrow. For real.

This food truck is amazing!! I traveled from Washington, DC to Orlando, FL and I had to eat here. I've been twice the past four days for lunch. The Arepas el cacao are outstanding and the shrimp in them sets it over the top as outstanding. Then I had cachapa with cheese and that was the perfect dessert. If you come to Orlando, FL and either like exploring for new foods or if you know you like Venezuelan food, you HAVE TO HAVE TO try this place. I even told the managers they should be featured on food network or start a business in Washington, DC with the food trucks there. They are that good!!
(5)Estefania S.
These are true Venezuelan arepas! Reminds me of my childhood. So many options to choose from to stuff your arepas: original styles and new modern ones. They also serve delicious cachapas, another native dish. Their natural fruit juices are to die for. The staff is amazing. They are friendly and informative for those who don't have experience eating arepas. I recommend una arepa con carne mechada y queso guayanés con un jugo de parchita. Or un jugo de guanabana. Or even guayana! Yum!!

AMAZING! The Kirkman location was recommended to us by the Dollar Rent-a-car agent at the Orlando airport and it did not disappoint one bit. I don't know if it was the fact that we were starving or that we had been up since 4am but this place was simply amazing. Food - We had two everythings, one with beef and one with pork. Both were great but we think the beef wins out by a narrow margin. The combination of flavors was definitely not something you run into every day (at least in NYC). To drink we had a passion fruit milk and a pineapple water; both tasted great and were refreshing. Service - Ordering was easy and the food came fast. What more can I say? Prices - Everything on the menu seems priced reasonably. You can eat well here for well under 10 dollars. Having this be our first meal in Florida definitely set the bar really high for our trip. I will definitely be looking for an excuse to make it back here for lunch before we leave.
(5)Cristo P.
The oversized arepa with plenty of carne mechada ( shredded beef) and queso llanero (salty cheese) is delicious. I added some of the garlic sauce for extra flavor. I also had a papelón con limón ( lemonade with raw sugar) to quench the thirst in this hot day. All very sweet need to come back for a cachapa with cheese; I'm to full right now.
(5)Alexis F.
This arepa truck has horrible service. I went today, 4/19 at 5:45pm and they didn't acknowledge me and it took forever to receive my food. I ordered 3 arepas and it took almost 30 minutes and I was the only one there. The service I received gives their restaurant a bad name. I came here because you catered to my staff at my resort. However, the service was night and day. It seems you just don't care. While it rained, you decided to close your retractable awning, causing me to return to my car and grab my umbrella. You are a food truck, meaning quick easy service. We will not be requesting your services at the resort again.
(1)Chad J.
Unbelievable. Never had an Arepa before. Stopped at the food truck amd had my mind blown! I am from WI. I will be making a stop in Orlando on my motorcycle trip specifically to find the truck!!!!!!
(5)Marvin C.
Awesome arepas!
(5)Jonathan T.
I love this food truck! I always get the "Everything" Arepas which has pulled pork, shrimp, chicken salad and many other items stuffed into it. Oh, and I get the homemade white cheese too! When you come here get yourself an Arepas of your choice and a passion fruit smoothie.... You won't be disappointed! Everything should be under 10 dollars for those 2 items. Im rating this 5 stars because this is one of my favorite food trucks in Orlando. The parking is easy and plentiful. The only down side would be having to drive in I-Drive.
(5)Dustin K.
Amazing! Had the combination. Beef, pork, shrimp. I have no idea what all is in it but sooo delicious.
(5)Melissa I.
EASY to read Menu, Great Price, Great Food, Great People!...all things trucks encompass. Walking up and not knowing exactly what an Arepas would takes like or even what it is, I ask the gentlemen what is the best seller, he said the Arepas with Everything....I said let me have that. 2 mins later...it was like Christmas. I got a pretty big Arepa which is a corn bread, filled with all of things goodies - chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, ham, crab/chicken salad, black beans, 4 different types of cheese. They have several different sauces to put on the arepas, because I haven't tasted them I just went crazy and tried all 4. Needless to say with all the meat and cheese stuffing, smoking hot and 4 different sauces all for $5 - You cant beat that - I devoured it and it was amazing!
(5)Keith L.
Saw this food truck on the side of the road across from Sonic and decided to try it because of the crowd of people around it. We had never even heard of Arepas or knew what they were. Well, all I can say was, this is one of the "best" things I've ever eaten!!! They were awesome!!! We got the combination and the chicken salad. Too bad we don't live in Florida, cause I'd be eating here every chance I got!!!
(5)Soso O.
I had the chicken salad and avocado arepa. It was tasty. It had a lot of flavor. There was a language barrier between myself and the employee so it was hard for me to pick my toppings and get a good idea of what it was. None the less it was something new to try and I enjoyed it.
(4)John M.
The service was great and they were very helpful in helping us to choose the favorites on their menu. I was blown away by Arepas, they were incredible and the verde to go with it was perfect. The high top tables along with festive atmosphere of international drive made it a food experience that everyone that considers themselves a foodie or just a individual that likes really good good must try when they are in Orlando. To sum it up it was incredible food, great service and a awesome food experience with my wife. Food truck heaven at its best!
(5)Alan J.
Excellent, just excellent. The white corn arepas make almost the perfect base for the sandwich. Crispy outside and chewy inside. I have been to Venezuela and I like these as well as anything I had there. There are at least three styles of white, homemade queso, each as good as the other (think real mozzarella). I had pork and shrimp with three cheeses and it was delicious. A couple of warnings: these are huge and messy. Don't try to eat and drive. Don't even eat IN your car, or you will have arepa-bits everywhere. Also, the red sauce is HOTTER than he**. Use sparingly. But use!
(4)Christa R.
Awesome!!! I'd drive from Miami to get one of these in Orlando! I don't look forward to going to Disney World when I visit Orlando, I look forward to eating from this truck!
(5)Daya A.
Before jumping into the details of this wonderful arepa I will like to make you aware that this is a cash only zone and no matter what arepa you get this will be $5 flat fee. With this in mind you might as well get an arepa that consist of every topping and get your well moneys worth unless you have a few nit pickings here and there. Just do your own thing in that case. -The everything arepa consist of two round crispy arepas filled with a mountain load of toppings inside. The arepa is steaming and is literally melting all the queso blanco (Venezuela white cheese) due to all the shredded chicken, beef, and shrimp. The chicken is very moist and seems to be flavored with salzon, it's just so good. The shrimp is just a tease itself thrown in the mix. The addicting portion of the arepa seems to be the creamy garlic sauce and the cilantro mayo which tag team with the potato salad inside. Gosh I can't get enough of that gouda cheese along with the queso blanco. The warm combination of cheesy, creamy, crunchy, and moist is enough to make this food truck a neck breaker. All the tender moments shared with this arepa are enjoyable. I get on man vs food mode towards the end since it's loaded! - Be aware although this is sodium glorified there is a benefit other than being tasty goodness. This is also an ultimate liquor sponge to zap one back into sober world! -Be prepared, make sure you are carrying napkins because these arepas are known to pee on you meaning the grease/ sauce/ chicken juice/ or whatever will come out if turned at a 120 degrees angle. Yikes this can get messy and your shirt might enjoy the dripping sauces. -Don't forgot to grab a can of an ice cold postobon (Colombian apple soda) to accompany your arepa. Yum!

If anyone had ever told me I'd be eating food out of a food truck, much less writing about it, I'd have called them crazy. We decided to try a food adventure for a late night dinner when visiting Orlando for the shuttle launch, and Yelpers did not let us down. OMG, I can totally relate to becoming an arepaholic. We ordered one with beef and chicken, white cheese and put the onion/pepper relish and the variety of sauces on it ($5). Before we got back to our hotel, we turned around to go back for another one. Don't be intimidated by the area. The folks here are super friendly and helpful.
