Just came across this place and wanted to checking it out! Nice location, love the meat section. Halal meat is the best choice and don't mind to drive from winter garden, for a good quality meat. We will differently come back to shop here.

I visited this place after any years. What a big disappointment! The service was horrendous. No one greeted us. We didn't know if we should sit or order on the counter. We ordered Nihari and seekh kabab. It took an hour to arrive and presentation was less than desirable. There was no chutney, salad or any Nihari accoutrements. We asked for take out chai and got a look of death. The tea was bitter any way. Don't go here. Find another Desi Restaurant.

Went there 2 weeks ago. Not impressed by the butter chicken, but chicken tikka masala and chicken jal friezi were excellent. All chicken curries are a la carte. Rice and naan were good too. Some chicken dishes are with bone and some boneless. Look at the menu carefully or ask. Prices are reasonable for the quality/quantity. The three dishes I mentioned above are boneless. I will go there again. Not very impressed with the decor or service (not at par with US standards). I am Indian and so were all the other customers. The food was authentic Indian/Pakistani. 15% tip automatically added for party of 4+. Updated: Went again 2 weeks ago (4/12/2014). Beef Sheesh kabob and Chicken Korma (with bone) were excellent. Love the Plain naans ($1 each). Again, keep expectations low for decor and service.

RUN DON'T WALK! This place should be condemned!!! As I walked to the dirty ass bathroom through the dirty ass hallway, I looked into the kitchen to see the most disgustingly dirty kitchen I've ever seen in my life. It smelled so bad, too. The ceiling is falling in and the walls are full of holes. I also saw the waiter grabbing lettuce for my salad with his DIRTY BARE HANDS! (It is ILLEGAL to touch ready-to-eat food with bare hands FYI). While in the bathroom, a baby roach fell onto my arm from the ceiling!!! As I looked around, I saw roaches everywhere!!! This place is INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!! Needless to say, I ran out of this place screaming!!! EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK! Why is this place even open???

If I could give this mess of a restaurant negative stars, I would. The absolute worst service I have ever had. I could go into lengthy detail about how absolutely dreadful everything was, but that would require a War & Peace length novel. Do not go here. If you have ever believed in anything, believe in this. Every single thing was abhorrent. The server will act like you are crap under his shoe & treat you accordingly. Do not even think about asking for a glass of water, or anything to drink. Not only will you will be lucky to get it, but it will likely be from a pitcher that my sister saw the server dump used water glasses into. Then there is a gratuity added to your check, starting at parties of 1 or more. In hindsight, I wish I had not paid that tip. Coming from a 20 year veteran of the restaurant industry. I regret not walking out. The absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to. Shameful.

Can't review the food since I didn't eat it. The service was the worst I have ever had of any restaurant that I have ever eaten at. We ordered soft drinks (4) and they delivered cans with straws. We asked for glasses with ice and 15 minutes later they brought 2. I asked for 2 more and was basically ignored. I asked 3 more times for the glasses and was not given them. After almost 1 hour we still had no glasses or food. We finally just left. There were 3 other tables besides us so being busy just couldn't cut it as an excuse. I would NEVER go back to this place

This place is now called Apna Spice (it's actually been a while since they changed the name). We've been going there since 2006 - back then, the current owners used to own a place a couple lights down the road called BISMILLAH Restaurant. The place is a small mom and pop hole in the wall type joint, but the food is great, as are the prices. Hands down, the best thing on their menu is the Beef Nihari. You will not find better in Orlando - or perhaps anywhere else Stateside. It may sound like an exaggeration, but give it a try and you'll become a believer. It's authentic, spicy, delicious, with a generous serving of chunks of very tender beef. Pair it with the fresh in-home baked naan and you'll be in desi food heaven. Other items that we love here are the Beef Chapli Kabab, the Beef Biryani, Garlic Naan, Potato Naan, Aloo Papdi Chat, and the Ras Malai. Ever since we moved away from Orlando last month, we've been searching for a desi restaurant that could satisfy our taste buds like this place could.

Overall: Reasonably priced Indian/Pakistani food. My boyfriend and I wanted to check out Apna after a friend recommended it. Their meat is halal and we love Indian/Pakistani food so we were all over it. We immediately noticed that the prices were very reasonable compared to other Indian joints. We ordered Chicken Korma, Chicken Biryani, regular naan, and garlic naan. The place was packed so it took a while to get our food. The food was OK. The server said everything comes out medium spiced so we went with it and I it was a tad spicy for my delicate palate. The korma sauce was pretty good and now I realized why the prices seemed so good - they used bone-in chicken and it didn't come with rice. The Biryani was OK too but nothing to write home about and the naan was great.

This is an authetic Pakistani hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a strip mall populated by other Pakistani stores. In my opinion they serve the best Pakistani food in Orlando, i won't claim its great Pakistani food, but its decent Pakistani food. So if you got a craving for a good Nihari (beef shank cooked in spicy gravy), chicken tikka, seekh kabab, bihari kabab, biryani and the best tandoori nan in town (freshly cooked Pakistani bread).... then this is the place to go. Service is a bit lackin
