Tonight, I continued my search for my favorite pizza in Orlando. I was in the area and decided to check out Anthony's; I'd eaten here before, but not for at least a year, and I can't remember trying the pizza. I wasn't expecting the pizza here to become my favorite, since the existing reviews here on Yelp aren't overwhelmingly positive, but I figured it would at least be decent. I found that to be the case - decent, but nothing special. I ordered two plain slices to go, and they were served to me in a box in a matter of seconds by a friendly guy behind the counter. The total was $4.80-something, which is about what I was expecting. When I got home and was ready to eat, I opened the box to find two thin cheese slices that looked delicious, except for the crust part. (Some people love crusts, and some don't; I do.) I ate both slices rather quickly (I was very hungry), but was completely underwhelmed by the crust. The crust was rather thin and not as chewy and crispy as I like it to be. To me, this pizza may as well have been made without a crust - the crust on these slices was, in my opinion, totally insignificant. As I said, I of course ate both slices and would eat pizza from here again if I had to, but it definitely will not be my first choice. The staff is very friendly and had me in-and-out of here in less than 2 minutes, I'd guess. I love the location - Anthony's is right in the center of Thornton Park and has a pleasant outdoor seating area, which was very crowded tonight due to the sunny evening. I've sat out there a few times and always enjoyed that. I've also eaten inside, which similarly was just fine. I can't remember how the service has been during my past visits here since, until tonight, it'd been so long since I was here, but I imagine that it's at least acceptable. I would like to come back here to eat again, but I'll probably skip the pizza and try something else.

Great location, even in the dead heat of summer it is comfortable in the evening on their patio with all the ceiling fans rocking. Nice servers and decent Italian food - what more could you want?

One of my favorite pizza places. With indoor or outdoor seating choice and t.v.'s everywhere to watch sports, this is the go to place. I liek Thornton Park District, everything is close together and walking distance. Pizza here is delish! My favorite is the white pizza nd Pesto Pizza. Their pesto sauce is better than mine! But I have a twist with mine. ;) Come for dinner, watch the game, then mosey on down to a few bars for a drink!

Probably one of the tastiest and freshest eggplant parmesan I've eaten. The ambience is inviting, and the servers quite friendly. Service is a tad slow, but that is understandable due to it being crowded many weekend nights. The fried zucchini sticks are a great appetizer, and the entree portions large enough to share!

hands down BEST PIZZA in Orlando!!

Having lived in the Thorton park area for about 9 years now we have gone to Anthony's many times. The pizza is always consistently good and generally the service is also good. Friday nights can get alittle crazy on the patio area so need alittle patience with staff in that event. Overall a good pizza place to go and enjoy their great patio seating!

  • Kate S.

Solid pizza place. I have never ordered a single slice, but they look like excellent New York style. We typically get a 16 inch cheese or pepperoni. I really enjoy the outdoor seating area. The pizza is a bit greasy, but no greasier than you'd expect from a traditional pizza place. They definitely use quality ingredients.

If you're looking for a review on pizza....there's no need to read any further. I go here strictly for their Italian dishes because they're delicious! And also because I don't like pizza! I work around the corner from Anthony's so I frequent here for lunch, so much so that the waitresses in the bar area already knows what I want when I walk in, they already have my drink waiting for me! Their spaghetti and meatballs lunch deal is great! $6.95 for a good portion of pasta, a side salad or soup of your choice, and a basket of garlic bread. They have about 5 other choices on their lunch menu and they are all great deals! Their dinner items are great as well....love the chicken parm, and a huge fan of their italian wedding soup! They have a nice porch area to sit and relax at while eating your food, and is usually a good place to people watch on the weekends.

Ah-may-zing pizza! When I feel like yummy pizza this is one of my first picks. Sometimes, though, I'll have other dishes like chicken parm or a nice healthy salad. Every-now-and-then the service is a little subpar, but if the restaurant's not terribly busy I don't mind waiting a bit.

We were a party of 10 so the server was challenged although she did a good job. The Pizza was ok, not great. The main dishes were all rated good but not great. The beer needs to be served in chilled glasses because all the draft beers were too warm. This is a good place for a quick bite but nothing stands out that would cause me to drive there.

Best pizza I've ever tasted. I'm faithful to NY & Chicago but Anthony's stole 1st place. Excellent happy hour specials, yummy Italian food, wine & beer + pet friendly. My bitch loves the treatment & attention it gets here. My mom looks forward visiting just to come to Anthony's (lol). And my baby & I love to relax here. Awesome atmosphere & service. Every time I come I leave with new friends. Best to sit outside so make sure you come on a nice day/nite. Free private parking lot. Good for groups, alone, kids, handicaps, all is good & everything is yummy.

Love this place! 1)Pizza by the slice 2)Homemade mozzarella 3)Dining al fresco 4)full bar! 5) TVs with sports on I ordered the Anthony's special calzone...but the server accidentally gave me the cheese calzone...I would have a liked a little meat, but then I would never have been able to appreciate the cheese like I did! So, it worked out. Unless you are a competitive calzone eater...get the small portion, you'll have two meals out of it...these things are huge and you really aught to save room for a drink and dessert! I also had the Greek salad, which was delicious (although, it's hard to mess that up.) Let's talk about the Bianca pizza...it's really really good. Mozzarella and ricotta with garlic and olive oil...simple, quality ingredients, and fantastic thinnish crispy crust. I don't know where they get their tiramisu...the server said it was not made in house, but it's worth ordering....and you can walk it off after your meal walking around Lake Eola. The crowd is all across the board...families, singles, good old boys watching the Raiders lose, hotties checking you out...you'll fit right in.

Not clear why but the bar in this place has taken on 15 year old boy bedroom / college flop house level filth as of this visit. Solid food marred by uncleared dishes literally all over the bar, so much so that places to sit were made unavailable. Staffed by an apathetic bar staff that openly discusses the problems of late-20s-mid 30s binge drinking AND the difficulties of child care resulting therefrom, I would strongly suggest reconsidering staffing and management decisions. If it weren't that the food is generally on the better side of competence, this would be a 2 star review.

Best service in Orlando! Staff was friendly, food came out super quick and was awesome! The outdoor patio is also great place to enjoy dinner. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great Italian place.

This place is uhmazing. The stuffed pizza was to die for. And the sauce on the side...bliss. All the ingredients veggies, meat, etc. tasted fresh, not frozen. The pizza was lined in cheese (even the crust had cheese baked into it). I will return here and I would recommend it to anyone, anytime!

Seems like a great little local pizza joint. We were there at 7 on a Saturday and it was remarkably chill. Lots of families with kids, people with their dogs chilling out on the patio - this seems like the kind of place you can come and just hang out for a few hours. the pizza itself was pretty good - nothing super spectacular, but the crust was nice and crisp without being crunchy, the toppings were a good consistency, and it wasn't overly greasy - it felt homemade, in a good way. Service was entirely reasonable and bordered on excellent. This would be a great place for teenagers to go on first dates. Parking is a total bear, however.

Excellent service. Good cold local beer on tap. Had the the eggplant parm + salad. Nice local joint. Family atmosphere.

So the food here was just "ok". I would probably give the restaurant a "3" based on just the food alone. I had the antipasti salad, which was pretty good. The pizza was also pretty decent. However, our meal was completely ruined at the end, when our check came. I had ordered two glass of $6.95 sauvignon blanc off of the wine list. When the check came, each glass of wine was $8.50. I asked the waitress what the issue was, and she stated that they no longer had the cheaper sauv. blanc on the menu, and that they are instructed to pour the more expensive one whenever anyone orders it. However, she never informed me of the price difference or the fact that they no longer had the wine I had ordered. She took off $2 off of the bill, but never apologized or said anything about how dishonest this was!! She also stood there and waited for my friend to pay her bill, waiting for her to get her credit card out. Rude!!

Great quality for the price. Everything's delicious, though their salads leave something to be desired. Good pizza, yummy calzones.

Worst delivery service ever. The last two times I have ordered pizza from them, I've had to call over an hour after placing the orders to check on my pizza. Tonight, it took nearly an hour and a half. Both times, my pizza was cold and I received no apology for the delay or my crappy, soggy, cold, barely edible pizza. I'll take my business elsewhere. And encourage my neighbors to do the same.

Went here last week with some friends for lunch. The servers took almost 10 minutes to acknowledge us. That is a little irritating. The pizza was good though. I chose the white pizza slices which were crispy and yummy. Like many of the other reviews, the patio is nice, but the food is underwhelming, that paired with less the mediocre service and I have to say that unless some friends REALLY want to go, then I might not be bringing my business there. The location must cost a lot, but they would do better by stepping up their game a little.

I really love this location. Thornton Park is such a cute little area and I would love to live down Washington Street somewhere. We had caprese as an appetizer which was light and wonderful. It was a perfect night. Also the spinach and cheese slice pizza was wonderful. I also liked the fact that they were open late, we could sit right on the street, they play music to go with the them and it is walking distance to Lake Eola to burn those calories afterwards. Oh and also very affordable. I agree with Coleen that the crust is crispy, but not thin. It is actually a crust type that I could honestly say takes more like a pie crust. Very good place! Go check it out!

Great pizza! Great outdoor seating! Great service by Jenn! The food is consistently good every time we're here, both lunch and dinner. Antipasto salad is a fav. with the homemade vinaigrette.

Got a chance to stop by Anthony's to satisfy a calzone craving I'd been having. This craving may or may not have occurred due to the mesmerizing smell wafting out of the restaurant. Luckily, I was able to walk right into their patio seating and ordered a large pepperoni and sausage calzone ($9.95). The size of this thing was enough to satisfy my calzone craving, your craving, and maybe a third! Oh yeah, it was delicious to boot! This along with a beer was the perfect meal. My waitress was great and always there whenever I needed another pint or another helping of marinara for the behemoth of a meal in front of me. Looking forward to coming back and trying some pizza or a 'boli. Definitely give Anthony's a try if you're down for quality Italian. Cheers!

This used to be my go-to pizza spot in Orlando. Quality eventually started going down a tad and a few burnt pizzas later, we stopped going. Before last weekend, I hadn't been back in about 1 year. Had a medium Extravaganza pizza with some mods. Server was cool about changing things out. Pizza wasn't bad...was cooked pretty decently. I mean, it was good, just not excellent. The sandwiches and pasta have always looked wayyyy too greasy. But like I said, the pizza is decent. My one other complaint (and prolly one of the main reasons I stopped coming) is the abundance of families with annoying kids coming here. This parents come down to here because they can get in Anthony's relatively easily and it's the cool thing to do to come to Thornton Park. It's just everyone wants to sit outside so if you do end up coming, you'll probably be next to a little kid with balloons and portable DVD players / their own iPhones. That's how the parentals roll...it's Thornton Park!

When it comes to NY style pizza, I consider myself picky. I grew up eating pizza in Queens, NY every Friday night and sometimes for lunch during the week. When my family moved to Florida, we continued the tradition, but it took some time to finally find our pizza joint. I've found the same to be true in Orlando. I dare say that I've tried all of the pizza joints in the area and when a new one pops up, I'm there! I'm torn with Anthony's Pizza of Thornton Park. Sometimes, the pizza is fabulous...good sauce, somewhat floppy pizza slices which I like, greasy but not too greasy (come on, slightly greasy NY pizza is what makes it good), crispy but not too crispy dough, decent array of toppings and good prices. The location is ideal and Anthony's offers a nice amount of covered outdoor seating. They have a full bar and happy hour specials (mostly 2 for 1 draft beers). The service is always pretty slow and inattentive. The last time we went, our server greeted us after we were sitting for 10 minutes. After she took our order, she didn't come back to refill our water and soda and then just dropped off the pizza (which took longer than it should've) without ever coming back to check on us. Meanwhile when a table of 4 guys showed up, she was smiling and laughing the whole time coming back to their table again and again while just walking past our empty glasses. I had to ask another server for a refill of diet coke. I felt like I was a nuisance for asking for a refill. I'm an easy going customer and very grateful and eating at Anthony's made me feel uncomfortable. Anthony's would benefit from hiring friendlier and more attentive servers. It seemed like the servers were a bit dazed and preferred to be chatting inside with the guys who worked there. Come on Anthony's!! I'll check it out again but not sure how many times I'll brave the terrible service.

Wow, looks like I'm going to be the first to give this place one star! I've lived in Thornton Park on and off since 2003. It was around then that I went to Anthony's for the first time. I got something and a salad. I don't remember what the something was because they served me a Ceasar salad that consisted of dead, brown lettuce. Parts of the lettuce were also frozen. It was pretty gross and inedible. I vowed to never go back. Well, I guess I got a case of bad food amnesia and went back the other night. Me and the bf wanted Italian and it's close so whatever, we went. I got Italian Wedding Soup and a slice of sausage and mushroom pizza. The first thing i said about the soup is that it tasted like it was from a can. The second thing I said was "what the f*(% is in my mouth?!" According to our waitress it was the plastic seal from the spout on the bag that the soup comes in. Yeah. The pizza was ok other than the fact that they just threw the mushrooms on top of the pizza so when I picked it up to eat it they all just fell off. C'mon dudes! Sprinkle a little cheese over them to glue em down. For real this time. I'm not going back.

What a dissapointment. Their pizza taste like burnt frozen pizza... Cheap ingredients, tasteless... The only item worth getting is the water.

It's been a couple of years since we ate at Anthony's. Had pizza then, and it was just fair. Wanted chicken parmesan today and decided to try it again since it was not far from home. I ordered the chicken parm and my partner ordered the eggplant parm. We wanted to try both, so we split both dinners. Basically, the eggplant was awful, mushy and just not good. The chicken parm was fair, and the marinara sauce was not very tasty. To add insult to injury, one of the off duty servers came in with her two kids and sat at the next table. While the kids were well behaved, she was really loud and talking with the rest of the help about the schedule. Between the loud mouthed off duty server and the mediocre food, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Delicious pizza, but way overpriced. We got the double decker extravaganza pizza with everything but the kitchen sink, with a single slice being more calories than I think I'm allowed in a week, but by god I LOVED IT. Did not love the bottle of red wine the server strongly recommended. Way too much acid/tannin. Blech. Dessert -- cheesecake -- was fantastically scrumptitious.

I've actually downgraded this place to just below average. I've been back and the food seems just OK and the service is the same. The one thing I've noticed is how expensive it is. At first glance it seems average, but after having some different menu items, I think it's too high. It's been reduced in status. At first I said I would go if suggested. Now, I will only go if my suggestion to go elsewhere is overruled. Hey, you have the right to my opinion.

Finally checked this place out last month and recently went back to it again this past weekend. Seriously the pizzas are good quality pies. I typically ordered those commercial pizza joints, but now I've found my go to place. Yes I have to drive to it since they don't deliver in college park. It's that good that I'll drive for their pies. I've had their, Margherita, Extravaganza and Hawaiian all great.

My second trip to Anthony's was at a funny food hour, not quite lunch, not quite dinner. So I opted to test out their dessert to see if it would match their true Italian theme. I immediately saw Tiramisu on the menu and didn't need to see more. Unfortunately, when it arrived, I realized it was a pre-made cup-o-dessert and was not even close to being homemade. And what was worse, is that it didn't taste very good. The waitress assured me that they arrive fresh and don't sit too long therefore it hadn't gone sour. Sadly, I couldn't finish and was disappointed in my choice. The waitress was kind enough to take it away and not even charge me. That gesture alone will still have me going back to enjoy their other menu items along with the fun atmosphere that occurs while sitting al fresco.

I don't understand how this place has won so many best pizza awards. It is not horrible, but the best? I don't think so. We tried cheese and a veggie pizza. Both were adequate, but not very flavorful, I thought. I did like the thin, crispy crust. The place was not that busy, and yet the waitress was not that attentive. I had to wait a while to get a refill. It's worth a try, but don't go out of your way.

I used to be a big fan and advocate for Anthony's on Summerlin, but my last experience there has left a terrible taste in my mouth. We went for lunch and were fine expecting to have a bit of a wait due to the rush, but we waited well over 45 minutes before even getting our salads and soups delivered to the table. That's okay though, because the pizza was on the way and I would be so happy and content with that cheesy goodness filling my tummy. NOT. The slices served were the worst. Both my two slices and my friends two were soggy and unable to be picked up off the plate and warm at best. I was so upset, but was not willing to complain and wait for new slices. It was such a bummer! I won't turn my back on you Anthony's, but next time will be the last if you pull another episode like this! xo

Not a bad stop for pizza in Thornton Park. You won't break the bank here, and the food is ok. Is it the best in Orlando? No. Will it feed the need for a pizza fix? Yeah, definitely. The crust is thin, so for me, that means the larger the pizza, the better the crust. Thin crust small pizzas always end up a little too thick I think. The extra $ for extra toppings is a total racket. To keep it on the cheap, go with the pre-designed pizzas. The margherita, adriatic and mediterranean are pretty tasty.

    (3)
  • Patti B.

Still the best pizza in Orlando. The service? Well, it all depends on the day (or night). Not a fan of their other dishes but you can't go wrong with the Mediterranean Pizza and a small Greek salad on the side.

Always great food! Pizza's by the slice or the full pie, awesome stromboli's and killer wings! If you like great pizza and good service, then give Anthony's a try.

This spot is right in downtown, near Lake Eola. The prices are decent and the staff are all great. Tried their deep dish pizza, and it was okay, nothing like a Chicago deep dish pizza. Their calzones are amazing. Overall, if you are looking for good pizza thats not one of those franchised pizzas, this is the place to check out.

I really really wish that I could give you one more star. I really do. I love your location. You are, after all, in one of my fave neighborhoods I love the way I can sit outside I love the way the building looks on the outside. I don't love your food though. And I've given you quite a few chances too. Pizzas, salads, pastas are all fresh and served by attentive staff BUT the taste is just blah. Where's the spice, the taste, that "je ne sais quois" that would have me clamoring for more? Dare to dream Anthonys- you could be a jewel.

This is one of the best Italian places in Orlando! The calzones are to die for and the staff is incredibly friendly. It's a fantastic atmosphere and the best way to spend an afternoon.

I love this place. I do not usually get pizza when I go here, but yesterday I tried a pizza with eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil and it was delicious! I have tried their pasta dishes as well, and I just love their sauce. The chicken and eggplant parm are both very good, but my fav is the baked ziti. I highly recommend.

  • Joel F.

An overall pleasant affair. I had a sausage stromboli, which was good. I always forget that there is no sauce in a stromboli and you have to dip it, which sucks, but oh well... Main issues at this place: 1. Smoking is allowed outdoors -- boo! 2. Their parking lot is really awkward and tiny. So much so that when I attempted to leave I had to ask them to have another patron move their vehicle. Even with that person moved, I ended up with a 3' x 4" gash on the side of my truck because I couldn't get angled to get out of the lot. Don't worry, I didn't hit another car, just their ridiculous wall that runs along the perimeter of the lot... So, lesson learned -- park on the street. Or the garage across the street.

The food is pretty good here, no nonsense ny style pizzeria stuff. The thornton park location is great as well. On our last visit the service was atrociously slow, we waited over 30 minutes for entrees and the place was one quarter full. No bread or appetizers were offered to soften the blow of slow poor service, so i can only award 3 stars.

This place is hit or miss. I have had some really good pies here, but I had pizza by the slice recently and it was horrid. Really, do not order by the slice if you go here. If you order a fresh pie, it will be much better and worthy of a 4-star rating for taste. The setting is really nice on the patio, but the service is questionable...sometimes good, sometimes bad. Overall a solid neighborhood pizzeria, but there are better in Orlando.

  • Lora M.

Love this place. Had the sausage parmiagana and vegetarian sub and garlic bread with cheese. All very good and the service was great. Hidden gem in a trendy area of Orlando (Thornton Park) that many tourists don't have any idea that it exists.

One of the best pizza places downtown. I love sitting outside under their covered patio and enjoying a cold drink and eating a delicious pizza. Their thin crust pizza is amazing and so is the rest of the italian food selections. Check it out.

They offer a great value for the money. My favorite menu items are the stuffed shells and the sausage pepperoni pizza. The portions are so generous that I can eat leftovers for a couple of days. Their take-out service is very convenient for me and when I show up, everything is ready to go. The servers are friendly and competent. This is a pet-friendly restaurant, too.

Anthony's is a popular Italian restaurant in the trendy Thornton Park neighborhood specializing in pizza. I've ate here several times and have always had a delicious meal. Not only is the pizza great but the salads and pasta's are just as good. I've tried most of what's on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Feel free to buy pizza by the slice or get a whole pie. They are of decent thickness, none of the flimsy crusts that are so prevalent these days. As for the pasta, my favorite is a marinara dish with penne pasta and meatballs. Yum! But what I like best about this restaurant is the large outdoor patio, the majority of the restaurant is comprised of outdoor seating with a few tables inside and a separate bar room for hanging out. The outdoor patio is Italian themed and most importantly your four legged friends are allowed to join you. Any restaurant that where you can kick back and get your pooch some activity is fine by me.

I've been to Anthony's a few times and it's always delicious. Amazingly, I never order pizza, but usually the eggplant or meatball parm sub. These subs are simply amazingly delicious. Anthony's welcomes your dog with his own dish of water, and the outside dining is perfect for watching other Thornton Park visitors.

Really great pizza if you live in the area. Good crust and the toppings are fresh. We got the Alfredo noodles with chicken last night and the sauce was nice and mild but flavorful - very good. You can eat there, and they have a bar (no idea if it's just beer/wine or not), but we usually get take out. There is a nice patio if you do eat there, but they have the smallest parking lot ever so just park on the street.

  • Patrick B.

Unbelievable pizza. At a place like this you gotta order the garbage pie. A sampling of all the toppings on their awesomely crispy crust.. I'm thinking about flying to orlando just to hit up this joint again. Way to go Anthony...

Let's face it: most of us can live off of pizza (this includes me). So it is not the easiest task finding a decent pizzeria that can constantly serve us a delicious pie. Anthony's Pizza in Thornton Park always satisfies my most urgent cravings for the pizza pie in the sky. Located on the corner of Summerlin and Washington, Anthony's provides a great people watching opportunity with its mostly outdoor seating area. The many different pizza options offered here are great, but my favorite is the Stromboli. You can pick from a variety of items to be stuffed inside the bread loaf sized Stromboli, which also comes with a delicious side of their tangy marinara. If you are attempting to conquer it yourself, I would recommend ordering a regular size (I always have leftovers), which is always flowing over my plate. The large Stromboli is meant for two but could probably feed a small family. Anthony's also has a few indoor tables as well as a full service bar to the side of the patio. Whenever your pizza craving hits you, I recommend hitting it back with something the folks at Anthony's Pizza has to offer.

Pizza on the porch! Great location in the lovely Thornton Park! The pizza is always good, however this certain occasion it was ok, lacking in the quality of toppings. The peppers were just sad, sad pepper strings. I had the extravaganza! And it was just a little underwhelming. Love the crust here though. Crispy but not thin. I have gotten the garden salad twice here and both times, pretty good. The peppers in the salad are great, regular (not string type) peppers! The porch was poppin' on a Saturday afternoon but the two ladies takin' care of our tables were on point! I will def eat here again and order pizza but nothing that I would CRAVE yet... maybe after some time.

Like the location and the outdoor patio. That was pretty much the reason why we went there while not wanting to drive all the way to Anthony's Brick Oven Pizza on Sand Lake (love their pizza). Staff was very nice, but pizza was just OK.

Well my 2 Stars goes really towards service!!! Downtown was holding a big parade and yes place was sky rocking but they were unprepared. Our server was really trying, she really earned her tip but man waiting almost 2 hours for pizza is unacceptable. Apparently my pizza was burned and have to wait longer while others keep getting served. Our service apologized and offered a comp drink but 2 hours and while am writing this still no food. I feel sorry for the server because she is really trying but the kitchen seems to be more entertained by talking to each other then cooking. Finally we got the manager and food was ready walah! Yes manager apologize but overall the should communicate more with their patrons and be ready for big events. Now time to eat! Finally

Seriously. Fab. A great happy hour, great food and a great location. What else could you ask for? Oh, gnocchi. They don't have it on the menu. But everything we tried was sooooo good. Service was not great - never did get our app or that water I asked for. 3 times. But, I'd happily go back for more pasta, maybe the server had an off night.

I love in the neighborhood and have given them 4-5 opportunities to have great pizza. The food is average at best. Great location and great setup though. Really need to improve on food

Best pizza n Orlando. We now don't live as close by but still drive the 20 minutes whenever we want good pizza!

This pizza was horrible (and I'm not picky about my pizza). We ordered three different signature slices and were incredibly disappointed in each of them. Even the house salad dressing was bad! Gross.

Hats off to this Anthony's location. I came here one evening with a group of about 20 people. We had two waitresses working the group. These gals were amazing. They were able to get the food out to us. Kept the water and drinks coming. Even with a computer system hiccup they got the job done that evening. One of the kudos that I'd like to give them is,...my wife and I ordered an antipasto salad. They must have overheard us saying that we would share it. So they had the kitchen split it. We never asked them to. That is what you call exceeding your customers expectations. Had a great night with the Knights of Columbus that evening. Overheard several of the people in the group saying that they enjoyed it, and were planning on returning. I'll say it again, good customer service is where it is at! There are so many places to go eat, but the way you treat your customers, will set you apart. Good job Anthony's.

Always tasty, never disappointed. Friendly staff. Especially moved the last time I was here when I saw a staff member helping a severely disabled woman who was here siding alone. He made sure she was neat and tidy when she was done, helped her with her payment and put her change in her bag and secured it, gave her a drink to go as she left in her electric wheelchair. Then she came back right away, needing some additional assistance and he was happy to oblige. It was nice to see such compassion. I figure she's a regular here.

Ordered a pizza, 2 salads and garlic bread. It took an hour and 45 minutes to get our cold pizza and garlic bread. The side salads were good. Disappointed because we were looking for a good pizza delivery place.

Great pizza, great spaghetti with meatballs, great antipasto salad, great outdoor seating. Yup. This place is pretty great!

Great service! Food was great and a great price! One dislike - we had to share our air with smokers from the bar! We will be back for sure! Thanks Kaitelyn for being a great server!

Not the best pizza I've ever had. Their sandwiches at lunch time come with chips instead of fries. To order fries is almost $2 more so makes the sandwich combo too expensive. When you do order the fries for either a side dish or just by themselves they are soggy. They do not know how to package them to go. The calamari is actually very good but too expensive. The tuna sandwich is too wet and makes the bread soggy and all the other sandwiches are just subpar. The soup of the day is always the same rotating and not very tasty I may add. The one good thing is the pizza by the slice. The lunch special 2 slices for $5 is cheap and as much as I would pay for the slices. Definitely could be better.

Great pizza excellent service! We had the best waitress, hats off to Noel!! We will definitely be back and ask for her.

I love pizza of all varieties and go here when I want a big slice. Their pizza is nothing crazy so don't expect a fried egg or jelly on your pie. Traditional flavors all the way at Anthony's. This is my go to when I want a good ol' slice of peperoni. Either dining on the patio or getting it to go, I enjoy it all the same with a side or ranch and a cold cola. You can buy it by the slice or go all in for a Large pizza to have some perfect leftovers. Service can be so so and the wait times can get hairy on a busy night, but I am patient when I know that I will consistently get a good pizza and a decent price.

Great pizza - fresh Cesar salad. Only gripe was we were staying at a hotel and asked for plates and cutlery and got none.

3 stars because it's situated in an awesome area, it's dog friendly, and the pizza's good. But other than the pizza, I probably wouldn't order anything else off the menu, except the cannoli (will try cannoli absolutely anywhere!).

The pizza is very very good but one step below great. That's because the owners are Yankees fans and I'm tired of them winning. :)

Holy cannoli! A friend and I went to Anthony's Pizza Cafe. Now don't get me wrong to Pizza was banging. We order a pie with mushrooms and pepperonis. The crust was thin and crispy just like I like it. It had just the right amount of sauce on it. On the other hand, holy cannoli! I made a mistake of ordering on of their cannolis. It was so divine and heavenly. It had the perfect amount of chocolate chips and i wasn't overly sweetened. As I type I and thinking about going to get a cannoli this weekend. The patio is were it's at (unless it super hot outside).

I ordered the lasagna. Paid 10$ for it. Got some weird Cosco garlic bread instead of the usual knots. I posted a picture of my lasagna. It looked like crap. Tasted alright. I also ordered a 16inch pepperoni pizza. Asked them double cut it and they didn't. The pizza wasn't good. The last thing I ordered was a stromboli. It was good. Except for 8$ I'd was expecting more food. There wasn't much meat and there was a good two inch crust with no filling. I used to come here all of the time but I feel like they have kust lost their buzz. The environment is good. The girl who answered the phone was very informative. I just thing the food needs to get better. Deff lacking. When I order to pick up and not dine in, I'm paying for quick service ans great food. Id give this place a 4/10 right now. Hope to see improvements.

One of my favorite activities is getting a pizza to-go and walking over to Burton's for some beer. But Anthony's has a great outdoor patio if you'd like to dine-in. (They close fairly early, so sometimes the first option is the way to go). They have tvs if you want to watch a Magic game (and hopefully they'll play Orlando City games soon) and a full bar. I've never had anything bad here and they have lunch specials during the week that will save you a few bucks.

Stopped in after a swan boat ride at Lake Eola. Anthony's is a staple pizzeria in the Thornton Park area. Pizza we ordered was a veggie specialty pie. It was great. This place has a consistency regarding their food. Must go place if you are in the area.

Good food, great happy hour specials, dog friendly, and quick and friendly service. Also, their calzones are huge and can be split between 2 people.

This is my go-to spot in the Thornton Park neighborhood when I am craving comfort food. The mozzarella sticks are delicious- but my favorite thing on the menu by far is the Bianca pizza with tomatoes and basil added. They also have a full bar, and lots of TVs making a great place to catch a game with friends, and grab a slice.

They have a great simple cheese pizza and cheese bread. The pizza with toppings are just OK, nothing special, but the cheese pizza is great. The crust is NY style thin, although it could use some more flavor. The service is just so-so. Sometimes they're on the ball, while other times you're left waiting 15 minutes before your order is taken. Takeout also is almost always slower than whatever time they say it will done.

Hmmm... so I thought this would be my new favorite place to get pizza... and it's just so close by, but I was gravely underwhelmed. There's nothing bad about this place, but there's also nothing overwhelmingly good about this place either. The customer service was great, but the food was just meh. My bf and I ordered a large Caesar salad and a small Veggie Combo pizza. The dressing on the Caesar salad was not that great and the pizza was just like any other normal pizza that I've had. Our server was really nice and they have tons of seating available... it's always nice to sit outside when it's not too hot, but it was just meh. I'll probably order from here again as there wasn't anything wrong with it.

    I eat here fairly often, mainly because it's close to me. I'm torn between a 3 and 4 star rating. What's good? Great patio seating outside and a good view of Thornton Park and steps from Lake Eola. The service here in my experience has always been fast and friendly no matter how busy they are. The food- it's good- I like their pizza and calzones as well, but I have had better. I will say I haven't tried any of their pasta dishes yet so I still need to explore. Prices are reasonable and an average beer selection. ( they do have a non alcoholic which I like sometimes and an IPA too). Casual dining in a good location and good food- what's not to like! Ps - my leftover pizza tasted even better the next day! ( ;

My original review of this place was 5 stars. However, the service the past few times I've been here have been mediocre and extremely slow. For example, tonight it took over 15mins to get the starter ceasar salad and about 40mins for our two pasta orders to come out. By the time food came out, we were all starving and just wanted to walk back home. Server said they have new kitchen staff and that's what was causing the delay. He could've brought out some bread knowing it's taking longer than usual. This is usually one of my go to place in our area but unfortunately service have been slacking. Still great location and good food. Just don't come when you're really hungry or when you're limited on time.

Great pizza spot with consistently delicious food. Spent tonight in the small but nice bar area watching the football game. Service was excellent despite it being busy (and full of rowdy fans). On a nice summer night you won't find a better place than their extensive covered patio to enjoy the weather and to people watch.

The last city I lived in had Italian restaurants on every corner. Small, mom and pop places where everything was good and everyone was family. Although I've never dined in the restaurant, everyone I have ever dealt when order to-go has been fantastic. The pizza isnt the best I've ever had, but is good, and their pastas are all great. And if you're feeling gluttonous, order Anthony's Tour of Italy, you won't be disappointed!

Hands down the best pizza in Orlando. They're possibly in the best location and are busy a majority of the time. Great drink specials all the time especially happy hour and Sunday Funday is the best here. Only bummer is that they allow smoking on the patio (which is a majority of the restaurant). That's the only reason I gave four stars instead of 5. Very dog friendly.

Really good and I did not even have the pizza! Had baked ziti on a lunch with co-workers and it was delicious. They definitely do not skimp on cheese here. The bread that came with the special I ordered was very delicious as well. Not too heavy for what it was either. Our server was very polite and fast, which I was surprised at because the place was busy when we went.

This is definitely a pizza place that is more convenient than actually good. The service is always really good and quick. Their takeout is super easy and quick. I also enjoy their outdoor seating. It's a nice area to sit outdoors. I really wish they would revamp their food though. There are so many places around here with fresh, quality ingredients and exciting new menu items - Anthony's food could really step up their game. I've gone here for years and their menu hasn't changed. Orlando is opening more and more quality restaurants and I hope that they follow suit and rethink their menu a bit.

Beef stew is tasty.. I did not expect that! The spaghetti is basic/average. The pizza slices are something like you would get on the streets in Miami not that exciting. I could not taste any tomato sauce or any flavor but the grease. Great location and patio in the Thornton park district.

Like the convenience to home if I feel like taking a walk and grabbing a bite. Nice location to sit outside and chill. Ordered the Hawaiian pizza and the Anthony's Special sub. Both were tasty, not the worst and not the best. Don't bother with the cheesecake, tasted stale. Service was a bit slow.

Great place to sit outside and have a drink and some food. They have Plenty if TV's as well. My husband and I shared a 12' pesto pizza (8 slices) and a large Cesar salad to share and it was more than enough food. The pesto sauce was amazing. I wish they would have left it in the oven a few more minutes. The crust wasn't as crunchy as we usually like it. The Cesar salad was fantastic although the croutons were soggy. Overall the taste was great and I would return and try another pizza and sit outside and enjoy the weather this fall.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
