Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I relocated to Orlando about 6 months ago from Southern NJ, home to a plethora of fine Italian establishments. While I've been happy with many eateries here, one thing noticeably lacking is a selection of authentic Italian food. Basically, there's almost no selection to speak of other than fine dining. Well, now that yelp guided me here, I have my go-to place. First off, the location is quite suspect. It's literally on the side of the Mobil Food Mart (across from Wawa) on Goldenrod. Turning onto Valencia to access might be better for some. The interior is nothing to write home about. I probably wouldn't dine in with limited table selection and not much to look at besides a TV with Italian programming. But the food! It's far and away the most authentic Italian cooking I've had since moving here and ranks right up there with the best I've experienced in NJ. I spoke with the chef, a wonderful older lady from Naples, and her daughter for a bit. They came from Naples 9 months ago and are trying to establish this restaurant. I'll gladly contribute to their cause regularly, especially since it's only a couple of minutes off 408 for me to stop into on my way home from work downtown. Delizioso!!

The BEST chicken parmigiana I've ever had in Florida! Simple delicious Italian Neapolitan style dinners and sandwiches. The tomato sauce is just as it's supposed to be. The flavor is great and the prices only make it better! Don't let its hidden location fool you. If you remember what the good Italian from NY and NJ taste like... This is it so check them out.

This place has gone out of business. Went there today to try it only to find out that it is no more. Sad, I think the location must have done it in. Back side of a gas station isn't the best place to be.

What a hidden gem! My husband stumbled upon this place and I waited in the car not feeling too good that day as he grabbed some take out. He came back to the car raving how sweet the owners were in this small hole in the wall italian place, and that they seemed the real deal- they mostly spoke italian with some broken English. All I know was that this take out smelled AMAZING. Back home we dug into creamy pasta carbonera. Truly love at first bite. Nothing about it was healthy...but it was oh so tasty! Since then we've returned and I've enjoyed their eggplant parm sandwich. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was their side salad and slice of pizza deal. Go for some pasta or a sandwich if you're there. That's my recommendation! I also wouldn't go in to sit down for lunch during the work week, this little place gets packed real fast. Either take it to go, or come on an off time or day. Buon appetitie!

We live close by, and go there about once a week to get our 'Italian food fix!' 081 has wonderful, authentic food at a very reasonable price. My favorite is the Eggplant Parmesan and my husband loves their Linguini Marechiaro, which is seafood sautéed in a delicious red sauce. Of course, we have to start out with bruschetta and wings. Everything we've had there is wonderful! Don't let the location throw you off, Rosario knows how to cook Italian food!

My boyfriend and I picked up carbonara and eggplant parmesan a few weeks ago and were floored at how tasty both of them were. He comes from an Italian family in New York so, he grew up with a good idea of what this genre of food should taste like and I... am a professional eater so, our palates are fairly on point. I ate the entire carbonara myself, which was seasoned perfectly. The sauce to pasta ratio was spot on and the pasta itself was cooked well too. I usually have to season restaurant food with extra salt but nothing was missing from either dish. Regarding the eggplant parm, to sum it up simply, my boyfriends review was "best ever, yummy sauce". We got 2 cannoli to go, and these were filled fresh to order and contained the traditional candied citron. Delish!

This place is about 2 minutes from where I live and I really wanted to like it especially after reading the great reviews. Well I guess Friday night was an off night! I called ahead for pickup and ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Linguine with Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken. I was told it would be ready in about 10 minutes. When I called 2 minutes later to add meatballs I was told the order was ready to go?!?! Once I heard this I knew I was in for a disappointment! I didn't wait longer and immediately headed over to pick up my order. When I arrived after my two minute drive home I found the egg plant and meatballs were both very cold and I had to put both in the microwave in order to be able to eat it. The flavor of the sauce was great and if the meatballs and the eggplant were hot I'm sure I would've enjoyed it but since this was not the case and I had to heat up the food that was obviously taken out of the refrigerator I had to rate one star. The one star is not for the fact that the items were premade but only for the fact that it was not served at an edible temperature. Also, the grilled chicken with the linguine and Alfredo sauce lacked flavor!!

I was in the mood for Italian food but didn't feel like going out to eat. I found this place by using my yelp app and I found their menu on the internet. Everything looked yummy and I had a hard time deciding what to order. After settling on Napoli's (special) angus chuck beef cooked in tomato sauce, onions garlic, and fresh basil and a side of Eggplant Parmigiana, I had my husband place an order for pick up. He added his order of Bologna's rigatoni pasta with meat sauce and a cannoli and tiramisu for desert. He was told the order would be ready in 20 minutes and it was ready when he arrived. I plated our dinner up when he arrived and everything looked and smelled so good. Included with our dinner was some nice crusty Italian bread. We took a bite of our dinner and we were both happy! Everything was fresh and made from scratch. The beef in my dish was tender and delicious. The pasta was cooked al dente and had a wonderful flavor of tomatoes, garlic and onion. It reminded me of eating dinner at my Italian friends' homes back in NJ. I really felt like I was eating a good home cooked meal prepared with love. The star of my meal was the eggplant parmigiana. It was amazing! It might be the best I have ever had. The eggplant was coated nicely, stacked, and smothered and a rich and delicious red sauce and covered with cheese. I'm hooked! My husband will tell you that he does not like eggplant parmiagina, but you would not know this by the way he was enjoying helping me finish mine. My husband's dish was made with linguine instead of rigatoni instead, but he didn't seem to mind that much. The sauce was rich and meaty like his uncle Chiaravalle used to make. The cannoli and the tiramisu were both homemade and delicious. The filling in the cannoli wasn't too sweet and the crust was flakey. The tiramisu was four layers of creamy deliciousness dusted with cocoa powder. I sometimes find this desert to be too heavy with espresso flavor and too soggy, but that was not the case here. It was YUMMY!

The owner is amazing! I was searching for homemade cannolis for my Sicilian father in law and the staff made a special dozen especially for him. I am so happy to have found a place that not only makes wonderful Italian food but they add a lot of attention and love to it as well. :-)

Excellent! Where to begin... With dessert lol. Homemade tiramisu, just like my mother makes. (My parents are from Italy) the meatballs also homemade... Delicious! The pasta was al dente like it should be. The chicken parmigiana was tender and tasteful. And everything was cooked fresh! A definite place to go for real Italian food.

Great food and service. Tried the Carbonara some of the best that I've had. Delicious bacon and onions in a creamy sauce. The tiramisu was light in texture and you can tell it was home made!! Also make sure you try the bread!!We will be back!!
