This is the go to place on the island for Sushi. Also the tepanyaki dishes are great for to go orders or call ahead for take out when in a rush and don't feel like cooking for the night. They also have some of the best Gyoza in the area.. Always fresh, always fast.. I will continue to eat here when i'm craving sushi.

Freshest sushi on the island. This place is amazing! When we are craving sushi, this is our go to place! Friendly service, clean surroundings, excellent food! It's small so I wouldn't recommend large parties coming without calling ahead of time. I love the atmosphere cuz it's quiet, quaint and laid back. The chef is all biz which is a good thing because it is reflected in the amazing food! If you are in the area, stop in, you won't be disappointed.

We ate here for the first time last night. The food was good. I ordered the chicken hibachi which was a pretty good sized portion for $12.95. My hubby ordered 3 different kinds of sushi & he was impressed. The place was busy & people seemed to be enjoying their meals. Nice atmosphere & looked clean. My only quarrel with this place was the service. I only saw 2 servers & neither one cracked a smile or even stopped to say hello. I had to stop our server to let him know we were ready to order after about 10 mins of sitting there with our menus closed. We weren't asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. Amp up your wait staff & get new menus that don't look old & dirty.

Did not really like it.. Had sushi and I had the chicken udon dish which was full of flavor and sauce. At least I liked that. It was packed but I don't know why... There other way better sushi places out there

This place is my go-to sushi place when I'm in Jacksonville. It's a small business off the street in Fleming Island, but don't let the exterior fool you Inside, it is very clearly Asian inspired. Despite the small space, we were able to be seated during lunch time. Here, you can find all the typical Japanese fare from sushi to hibachi. Make sure to come for the lunch special when there are a variety of sushi combos and hibachi specials to choose from! I always get the spicy salmon roll when I come here. At just over 4 dollars, it is probably one of the cheapest full-priced spicy salmon rolls that I have had. The other specialty rolls don't get too much more expensive thankfully. This roll comes with plenty of pieces (8 pieces per order) which leaves me satisfied every time. Make sure you dip it in their white sauce too! That sauce here is to die for. Overall, it is a VERY solid sushi restaurant for anyone looking to get affordable sushi that doesn't want to go to the Chinese buffet across the street.

The service was quick. We had four rolls and sushimi. The Florida roll was delicious and very pretty with the knife skills for the avocado on top. The Rock in Roll was also really good.

Taking a star away. Strange atmosphere. We were seated quickly but when our server(who we came to find out is one of the owners) came over to our table she did not greet us at all. Her first words were, "you pay together or separate?" "What?" "You pay together or separate?" Ok. Together. Food was good and reasonable. The place is very basic. Kinda junky looking and cluttered looking around the sushi bar itself. Will we go back? Probably, but not for the ambience.

Oh, sushiya! This by far my favorite sushi place, ever. It's so small and cozy. It's always quiet, so it makes a good place to have conversation while you dine. Everyone that works there is so polite. The dynamite roll is so delicious and if you don't like sushi, they have hibachi stuff. Make sure you're really hungry because they give you SO MUCH food, you'll definitely be bringing some home. The staff makes sure that your drink is never empty! It's a really affordable place to go. I have never been disappointed going here!

Love this little place! Don't let the outside fool you. Very fresh, and very reasonably priced.

Very happy with the sushi here and they are open at 1:30 on Sunday for lunch not sure of the hours yet. I liked the crunchy roll the best. My husband loved the FL roll loaded with avocado.

The best runee inee takee outee on Fleming Island. Consistently delicious for many years now. Been a patron for 6 years. LOVE IT!

Best sushi on the island. Much like the other reviews, the ambiance is lacking a bit, the food makes up for it at a fantastic price

Having lived in LA for the past 7 years, it's difficult to find a 5 Star sushi joint in FL. However, this is a pretty good sushi spot for a quick lunch. I've been here a few times for lunch and the prices are about average. This last time, I ordered the Fancy Dragon Roll which is a shrimp tempura roll with smoked salmon & eel ($8.50) with a small soup and that was plenty. Mr. Assael ordered the sushi lunch special ($10.50 or something like that) which came with a soup, ginger salad, a California roll, a spicy tuna roll and 4-5 single pieces (salmon, yellow tail, white fish, etc.) Overall, we were happy with our meals and the food was tasty. More than likely we will go again since it's consistent and the service is very good. 4 STARS :)

Amazing sushi for a reasonable price. Fast service also. Great date spot. Only downside is there isn't a huge seating area.

I don't like sushi but my friend does so there ya go lol. But it does look yummy and fresh and their lunch items are pretty decent priced for a place like this. I love their fries Oreos so yummy! It is alittle pricey in some aspects but it's okay I'd deff go here if you like sushi

One of my favorite places to eat on Fleming Island. I typically get lunch to go and it never takes more than 10 minutes from my call to my food being ready. The lunch specials have great prices for tons of food. You can spend less than $10 and get chicken, veggies, rice, noodles, soup, and a small salad. The staff is also super friendly and helpful.

Very good sushi at reasonable prices. Unfortunately the word is out and the place is packed most nights. Try the Kelmon roll and ask them to add thinly sliced lemon on the top. Very good!

Ate here today with my hubby, we frequent this restaurant a lot. It's great food for a decent price. We usually get sushi, it's fresh & made to order. Delicious & hearty portions. We have had their hibachi items, they are equally fabulous. The "clear soup" they serve with every meal is to die for. Yum yum.

On the slightly pricey side, but for a reason. It's very good. The staff are great. We love it.

This is my favorite sushi place around. Once or twice a week I stop in to get sushi to go. The service, on the times I've actually eaten there, is great and my drink seems to always be magically full every time I look away from it. The fish is always flavorful and fresh (which is, frankly, important when dealing with raw fish). Drive past all those teppan places in Fleming Island and stop in here if you want some good sushi.
