Great prices, decent food. Chicken pot pie was delicious!

The good...I don't think they spit in my food. The bad...they screwed up my kid's order in every way (fried instead of grilled chicken, french fries instead of fruit), my wife had some gastro issues via the turkey dinner (I had the same meal but I was fine) The ugly...the employees seemed to have some bad juju floating around. In my wife's words she felt like it was a powder keg waiting to explode. Not one person looked happy to be there, managers were running around and even our server confirmed our suspicions with a wink. I've had decent enough meals at other Bob Evans restaurants in the past but this location was a mess to the point we changed our order to go right after getting our water. #nevergoingback

Wow worst costumer service I have ever had at any restaurant! The only reason i gave two stars is because the food is not half bad. My waitress places my food on the table, said "alrighty" and walked away before I could think of anything. I saw here 3 times to take my order, place my order than give me the check. I was never asked if I wanted a refill or if anything was fine. My waitress acted like she didn't want to deal with me. Yes she did get a very small tip not that she earned even that. I never thought I would find a restaurant that Denny's gave me a much better experience than but I did. Skip this place and go to Perkins next door!!
Food was good, very filling. The server was great. He accommodated all our requests. We had blueberry pancakes but I only wanted 2 instead of 4. He said that it was no problem. We also had the Farmers Market Omelette with biscuits. We asked for gravy and he said no problem. (He just didn't mention that there was a 99 cents charge but that was ok for us.). The manager kept coming around to ask everyone if everything was ok. I noticed that she greeted everyone and tried to make them feel welcome. For our first experience with Bob Evans, we are pleased and would try another one again. The price was reasonable. If you've never been to a Bob Evans before, it's similar to IHOP.

Just like any other Bob Evans. I think the server became a little exasperated with me when none of the menu items fit with what I wanted. She just to me, "Just tell me what you want, and I'll figure it out." Nothing special. Nothing horrid. Just ok.

I have been to three other Bob Evans locations in FL but it has been months since, until tonight. There were four adults a toddler and a baby. I clearly remember when we were regulars at Bob Evans, when we got exemplary service and great food. I have never had a complaint until tonight. I had wondered why this location wasn't packed like the others I had been to. Once we got in it took 15 mins to get our drinks and 30 mins to receive our food. Some of it was cold or cooked twice (reheated). It was even clearly visible. We brought this to the managers attention but he played it off as if nothing was out of the norm. The sever was great but the food we received did not at all live up to the standard I had remembered. I will never come to this location again and for all you Bob Evans lovers out there, this location will disappoint you if you eat there in the evening as we did. The only reason I gave two stars was because of the server which I did still tip. Update: My wife, mother, and sister all now have food poisoning. Thanks Bob Evans. I revoke my 2 star rating to one

Don't waste your time here unless you have a lot of time to wait for your food. They just spruced things up inside but it is the same crappy service waiting for your food. We left after 35 min of getting ice tea, we didn't even get our salads to eat. Corporate should go in here and fire the manager . We went next door to Perkins and had our food within 10 minutes.

The Bob Evans in Orange City is very convenient to the Florida Hospital, as well as several major shopping complexes. I went here with my mother after she checked out of the hospital, and it was actually my first time ever going to a Bob Evans, despite it being a staple of the area. The Good: Very Cozy Atmosphere: The place is supposed to have a general store-type appearance, kind of like Cracker Barrel, which is always nice. Lights are very soft, and the whole place has a homey atmosphere The Bad: Mediocre Food: We went for breakfast, and I ordered my old standby, French Toast. Honestly I could have made better. It was very bland overall, and I just wasn't all that impressed. Too expensive: For my few pieces of French toast, with no sides it was $6. If it would have come with hash browns or biscuits I would have been okay, but honestly, I just didn't feel confident paying so much for such a little (and mediocre) dish. Waitress MIA: As soon as we got our food, there she went. No drink refills, no "checking in" nada. All in all, I can't see why Bob Evans is such a popular destination around here. I mean everyone seems so thrilled with it, but honestly I would have prefered Denny's At least they are prompt with the coffee! Overall: 4.1/10= Bob Overated

Pretty average Bob Evans. Good comfort food for a decent price. We went here with a group of 10 of us, and I'm not sure if the server was new or not but he did seem a little flustered with a large group. Half of our order came out a few minutes before the other half the table got anything. Refills were done in a decent time and everything tasted good. It was a pretty standard brunch. Nothing bad but nothing spectacular either. Super easy to get in and out of off. Highway as well.

Construction on the main road made it a little bit of a struggle to get into this place. But once park we made a bee line for the bathroom. Packed with women and children but the facilities were clean. Now that our blatters were empty we could address the growing hunger of four women leaving straight from work and starting a road trip. Cute servers. But they leave a lot lacking in customer service. It has that local family vibe where staff seem to know the names of the regulars. But it's also has that family vibe where people borderline the line of being unprofessional for a business environment. Hungry women rarely know what we want. We are better suited for menus with pictures. And if you give up five minutes we'll point to another picture. So our table purposely order a little bit of everything. If the person that ordered it doesn't like it someone at the table will. But we are very clear that we are hungry. We cold this to our cute waiter. We even tried to make a "guess his" game as we wait. So after we confirm that I'm right - why are we still waiting for our food. He wanted to hold the orders so they would come out at the same time. Cute EXCEPT we specially told him to bring them out as completed. Then even after he brought them out we needed to wait for odds and ends including silverware. Some silverware had to be sent back because of cleanliness. EWWW We eat - food was okay, nothing special. Wait for to go plates and bags and then for our receipts. We all are sitting several minutes with cards and cash out. Finally we figure out that we have to walk up and pay. When we first walked in the line was just to go pick up? As we wait in line we here the cashiers life story about her trashy boyfriend and other employees that are constantly showing up late. So the vibe is that the cooks like each other, the waiters like each other, no one likes the cashier. And vice versa she hates everyone. Very homely feeling - but one that I rather avoid. FYI Ambience : Divey. Order to go and check your food before you leave.

Eh I was not impressed. First time I've been to a Bob Evans and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It tasted like they used Miracle Whip which is nasty. The buttered corn for the side was good and the blueberry bread was alright. The service was nice ... Very friendly but the miracle whip did me in.

Monumentally horrible service. Couldn't get a drink, couldn't get checked out, and just generally sucked.

Horrible..Horrible experience. Burger full of grease..the bottom bun completely drenched and stale. The corn tasted as if it sat out overnight and the the frys were cold. The French Toast was under cooked with bacon hard enough to chip my tooth. The waitress was nice and the water was good and cold. Oh and the best part of the meal was the real whip cream that came with the hot chocolate. The end. 0 stars.

I came here with a group and we understandably had to wait a bit for a table. It took quite a while for us to get our food, and half the table received theirs about ten minutes before the other half. I ordered home fries, but got hash browns. They were yummy looking so I ate them without comment. My fiancé asked for his bacon crisp and it came quite limp so I brought it to our server's attention and he said he would get some fresh bacon for us. It didn't arrive until ten minutes after he was completely finished with the rest of his meal, and it was burnt. The server was sweet but I think he was new. I know how it is, and everyone makes mistakes, but I think it was kinda crappy that it took so long for the cooks to give him the crisp bacon, and then burn it in the process. In the big picture the food was alright. I certainly wouldn't boycott the joint, but it could perhaps use more managerial participation to make sure customers are taken care of and satisfied.
