Decent place to go in the area. The food is fairly fresh, and the prices are good. I had a veggie quesadilla which was full of veggies and fairly filling. They have lots of space, too, so I imagine it would be good for a large party.

I've been going to this place for years as a bar customer. The food is good however the service is on a steady dive downhill. I don't blame the employees, I know for certain its a management issue. I won't take my family there.

I have been to Lunkers a number of times and each visit took forever! The service is at snail's pace. Then, once your food finally arrives, it is mediocre at best- maybe they take forever on purpose, so that you're so hungry you actually think the food is good when if finally arrives. However, that trick doesn't work for me. The food is edible and that is about it. I gave this restaurant two stars because the draft beer is usually good and the prices on food and drink are cheap! The atmosphere is better than most restaurants in the area too...very much like a "sports" grill and bar.

Super nice place. My fish sandwich was really good. Lots of outdoor straying with a full outdoor bar. Plus two full bars inside. TV's are every where. I will definitely be back!!

Have eaten here multiple times, always good. Tonight we both had the Southwest Taco Salad and it was excellent. We sat outside on the patio and service was great. Order came quickly and Tiffany was the perfect waitress. Wayne from the local country band "Redneck Crazy" does a solo acoustic set on the patio on most Wednesday nights, and he is an awesome singer.

I guess my boyfriend beat me to the punch. We are a bunch of Yelp-heads. I was here in town visiting with his family, I was a little shocked to see this place only had 3 stars because I believe it deserves more... especially for Okeechobee. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. It was flavorful and delicious. The toasted bun, crisp lettuce, and the ripened tomatoes were fresh. The wings were some of the better wings that I've had, and they were made to order. They also seem like they have decent alcohol specials... I saw a sign for $5 pitchers. I would have partaken in that but I didn't want my boyfriends family thinking I was some lush getting her drink on at 4pm on a Sunday. "1 pitcher with a straw please." Joking.... This is defiantly a place to check out especially if Los Cocos is closed and you don't feel like dealing with the drunken skanks at Cowboys.

Decent restaurant. Any time I've been I've had great service. The food is sometimes lack luster, but always great portions! Since it's next to the lake, you really can't go wrong with anything seafood. Very fresh, and the staff is very friendly. Try it out if you're lookin for a new place.

I think it was expecting a lot more. Great wait staff and they even gave us our drinks to go when we got ready to leave. Food wasn't bad.

I've now been to Lunkers twice in the past 6 months. Three of us ate there the first time, 2 of us this time. Collectively we agreed the food was somewhere between lackluster and just not good. I could not finish my tuna salad sandwich. I don't know how you can mess that sandwich up, but there was just something wrong with it. Dunno how to describe what it was. Beer was super cold and good. But the service was off, even tho there were not many other customers that night. I like the place. It's clean, a great space, etc. Probably just fine for drinking, but I would avoid the food. Doubt we will go there again to eat. Sorry, Lunkers...but you can do better.

I just visited Lunker's after the front desk at my hotel said it is the only good place around that is not a chain restaurant. Boy was I in for a shocker. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. The menu states it is shaved rib eye with onions, green peppers, and provolone cheese. I asked for no green peppers and the waitress asked if I would like mushrooms instead which I told her no thank you. When she brought my sandwich out it was covered in mushrooms and the steak was chunks of steak tips. The waitress came back and I showed her the mushrooms and questioned if the next sandwich would be the same style of steak or shaved like the menu stated. She went to check and came back and said that's all the steak they have and that's how they shave it. She then said I can order off the menu something else because she has to pay for my meal anyway. I questioned why she would have to pay for it since they put mushrooms on it and she said anytime a customer changes his mind on a meal the waitress has to pay. I said im not changing my mind on the meal I wanted it without mushrooms which it came with and wanted it shaved like the menu stated and she shouldn't pay for this. She then said either way she has to pay for the meal but she will eat it. I then said that's crazy you shouldn't have to do that and can I speak to a manager. Her next reply is what floored me, "the owner is here but he has been drinking". I immediately got up and walked out then. That is CRAZY.

This is a cool place. I came here with my family one day after we were trying to figure out somewhere to eat. It was a Sunday and as usual the good places to eat were closed. What's left is a short listing of places that might be ok or places you don't want to go. Since we don't like going to chain or fast food places it's hard to find something that was good. After talking about for a few minutes we decided on Lunker's. None of us had ever been and we thought it would be a good place to go... and it was. They have an outside area that's covered but still allows fresh air with a bar, tv, pool table and plenty of tables. Very cool. We sat inside where it was even cooler. There are high tops, tables and booths. Arcade games, a good size bar, a juke box and a solid amount of sports memorabilia on the wall. A great sports bar atmosphere that's different than other okeechobee places. It felt like I was in port st lucie or something. Now the food. We started with wings and the egg roll appetizers. Both were awesome. The egg rolls were hot and cheesey very tasty. Crispy and not really greasy. Our waitress had told us the wings take about 15 minutes. This meant they were made to order which is a good sign. Well worth the wait. Crispy, meaty and a solid 'hot' flavor. I was craving wings so they hit the spot. My family got a mahi mahi sandwich, a philly cheesesteak sandwich, a ham and cheese and a burger. I got the fish and chips. My dad and brother said their philly cheesesteak and burger were good but a little greasy. Not a big deal, i mean it is a sports bar. My ol' lady really liked her mahi mahi sandwich and it looked pretty good. The ham and cheese was pretty good too. I ate half of it and my mom ate the other half. it was a simple sandwich but it was very fresh and had plenty of ham. As for my fish & Chips. The fries were ok but I don't really eat fries to often to begin with so they're not to blame. The fish was bomb though. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Hot and fresh with no regrets. Towards the end of our meal more people started coming in and our waitress got a little distracted but it wasn't a problem. She was only one of the two that were there. Good food and cool atmosphere. Would definitely return.

I was in Okeechobee for business over a weekend and found Lunker's when looking for a place close by to catch the USF game that Saturday night. The place is very clean and the food is good - I ordered wings and a house salad. The staff was attentive and the customers, almost certainly all locals were friendly and enthusiastic sports fans. If you're in Okeechobee and looking for a sport bar Lunker's certainly seems to be more then just a safe bet.
