If you are someone who cannot resist tasty food, then at Zaxby's you can always try the Zalads. The best part about these salads is that you can customize it as per your needs. Make it grilled, fried or just go for the garden which can make your salad healthy and low on calories.
Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for Diabetics
If you are diabetic, you must skip all the Drinks served at Zaxby's. There are only a couple of no sugar drinks, but they are merely empty calories and don't contain any nutritional value. You must also avoid food items on the Popular menu at Zaxby's such as Buffalo Chicken Finger plate and Chicken Finger Plate. These items are high in sugar and sodium which can be harmful to diabetics. You must also keep the Chicken wings order to a maximum five to control your sugar intake. Avoid BBQ, Teriyaki, and Sweet & Spicy sauces in your Chicken wings order.
Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high blood pressure. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.
Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Blood Pressure
If you have high blood pressure, then you must avoid Boneless wings and Club Sandwich at Zaxby's. You should also skip Kickin' Chicken Sandwiches as well as Chicken Finger Sandwich to control your blood pressure levels. You must also skip the chicken wings with multiple dressings and sauces at Zaxby's from the popular menu. these food items on Zaxby's menu contain a very high amount of sodium.
You should also skip salted fries at Zaxby's with your wings or sandwich as fries will spike the sodium levels unnecessarily. It is also recommended not to try Zappetizers such as Buffalo Dip and Tater Chips, Tater Chips, and Side of Tater Chips Onion Rings if you wish to limit your sodium intake.
Food suggestions for High Blood Pressure at Zaxby's
If you are supposed to restrict your calorie count, then try any of the zalads and club it up with a sandwich to fill your stomach with delicious food. To curb the cravings for deep fried food, opt for a small portion (5) of boneless wings and chicken fingerz.
Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high cholesterol. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.
Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Cholesterol
Salads are often great and considered healthy. However, if you have high cholesterol, then you must be careful while ordering salads or shall we say Zalads at Zaxby's. Fried Cobb salad contains high-fat content which can spike your LDL cholesterol levels. Most food items on Zaxby's menu are high in fat content if you increase the quantity. Instead of opting for 10 or 20 chicken wings from the menu, opt for 5 traditional chicken wings to control your cholesterol balance.
What a conflicted review... Let's start with the food - it is absolutely amazing. Zaxsby's has found the secret with preparing chicken. Whether grilled or fried, the chicken is moist and tender without being gummy or soggy. The breading is light, crisp and does not overwhelm the tenders. The fries are absolutely the best in the fast-food industry. Even the honey mustard is head and shoulders above the competition. The barbecue sauce isn't great, but you can't expect anyone to hit on all cylinders. Absolutely five-star quality fast food and at a reasonable price. The service on the other hand is horrible! After three visits to this location and a few visits to others in the area, the issues seem systemic. Maybe it's pay or hiring, whatever it is, Zaxsby's should really take a page from the chick-fil-a book on customer service. I will continue to visit this location every time I'm in the Ocala area; the food is just that good, but will never expect to leave happy with the service.

First time dining at Zaxby's and I was not impressed. This is just another place that serves chicken. I paid $8.95 for the Chicken Club meal and for me, its pricey for what you get. They served a small amount of fries along with a pickle. The sandwich itself was served on greasy white bread and as for the chicken, nothing memorable. I am curious to try their wings so I will be giving it a second try soon.

Argh. At the top of my "I wish we had this in Canada"-list of fast food restaurants, Zaxby's is a pretty great fried chicken place I stop at on road trips in the South Eastern US. It's just well done and clean tasting lightly breaded fried chicken (minus the greasy taste you get sometimes Popeyes and KFC) served in a number of variations. The basic chicken tenders meal is 4-5 pieces of chicken, some ruffled fries with some cajun-y spices on them, coleslaw, and a piece of garlic toast. Super filling and awesome. The house dipping sauce that comes with everything is creamy and tangy...I usually dip my chicken, fries, and even occasionally my bread (haha) in it. They have salads (Zalads), sandwiches and a bunch of other meals with the fried chicken and they've all been great too. The only thing I haven't enjoyed there was the chicken wings, they were just average. Haha, might be a good thing there's none of these near me...I'd eat here way too much.

I can confidently say that Zaxby's poses no threat to the other chicken chains in town, especially Chick-fil-A and Famous Recipe. Went there for the 1st time (which I mentioned to the drive-thru attendant). The service over the speaker was disengaged and curt. When I arrived at the window they were all but dismissive of me. I ordered a chicken tender meal and asked I they had any sauces for the tenders. I received a curt "It's in the bag" as a reply. I asked what it was and was told it's "Zaxby Sauce". I said "Great but what is it?" "It's in the bag". Finally I got the imbecile to understand what I was asking and when they told me what it was I asked what alternatives they had. It was like pulling freaking teeth to get an answer! My apologies to the people waiting behind me, although the staff could cared less about them as they were too busy conversing about their Saturday night escapades. When I finally landed on BBQ sauce, thy let me know that if I wanted more than 1 smidgin container of sauce I would be charged for extras. Really? That's a first. Other places don't do that. Wonder if they charge for extra napkins as well to wipe your hands after eating their greasy, tasteless tenders. Had to ask twice for ketchup for my fries and then she all but tossed it at me. Chicken- nothing special. Toast- greasy thick, cheap white bread. Coleslaw- good but swimming in dressing. Fries were good. Best aspect- it was hot. Management- you need to replace some staff members. I will never know if you took my advice however as I do not intend to return. Readers- I look for this place to meet it's demise in the next 24-36 months.

Drive through service on the way home from Ocala. It was quick an easy tho get in and off the road from the interstate. The food was good, cheap and of course the fries are out of this world. What ever seasoning they use makes me crave them. (Celery salt factors largely here...) Their boneless wings are.. Ok? They aren't anything to write home about, but I can't eat a Zalad in the car while driving.
