These items are high in sugar and sodium which can be harmful to diabetics. You must also keep the Chicken wings order to a maximum five to control your sugar intake. Avoid BBQ, Teriyaki, and Sweet & Spicy sauces in your Chicken wings order.

Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Cholesterol
Salads are often great and considered healthy. However, if you have high cholesterol, then you must be careful while ordering salads or shall we say Zalads at Zaxby's. Fried Cobb salad contains high-fat content which can spike your LDL cholesterol levels. Most food items on Zaxby's menu are high in fat content if you increase the quantity. Instead of opting for 10 or 20 chicken wings from the menu, opt for 5 traditional chicken wings to control your cholesterol balance.
Just moved here from NJ. So many great chicken places where I'm from and haven't found any good places around here till I stumbled upon Zaxbys. Place is delicious and well worth the extra money for great chicken. If you want cheap processed crap for cheap then go somewhere else but it you want good fresh chicken then I highly recommend this place.

I like Zaxby's, though it's somewhat pricier than some of the other Chicken guys. I believe it's a good place to go for some spicy chicken, ala Popeyes or Lee's. Interestingly, both of those competitors are located within a mile of this location and offer a very reasonable alternative. To me Zaxby's feels like a cross between KFC or Chick-fil-a and Buffalo Wild Wings, minus the the bar. On a side note, I find it interesting how many fast food places were started near colleges. What's the common dominator? Well as a parent, I would guess it's about students with the munchies late at night and $5-$10 to burn. LOL. Here's a partial list of fast food places with college tie-ins: Jimmy John's (both Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois); Whataburger (Del Mar College); Panchero's (Univ of Iowa) Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers (LSU); Pizza Hut (Wichita State); Topper's Pizza (U of Illinois); Domino's (Michigan); Zaxby (Georgia Southern) I've been here a few times and the food is Three Stars, A-Ok good. Today I had the Cajun Club sandwich, minus the fries for $4.99 and five Chicken Fingers (see photos) $4.49. I feel the Finger are a better value over the Boneless Wings. My tap today came to $10.05 including taxes, but without a drink.

First time at a Zaxby's today and I didn't eat or see anything which would make me even think of going back a second time. Had a positive opinion of the place prior to visiting but... Ordered the chicken finger plate which was basically several fried chicken fingers, French fries and coleslaw. Portion size was excellent. The chicken had a very good, crispy coating but the chicken itself was overcooked and dry. They came with what seemed like 80% pure mayonnaise called "Zax sauce" which destroyed the flavors of the fingers themselves. Plus it looked and tasted none too healthy (yeah, I know I was bad by ordering fried chicken, too). The fries were bordering on soggy. Not at all crispy and they keeled over and broke when being held vertically. Tasted more like mash potatoes. The folks behind the counter were indifferent and bored. On the only good note was the cole slaw which was the slightly sweet style, just as I like it. The decor of the dining room was fine, too, overlooking the several dirty tables.
