Great breakfast spot! Only thing difficult about my visit was deciding what to order! Food and service were exceptional! Can't wait to come back!

Breakfast place wanna be. I went here with an open mind. My 81 year old mother in law had been there with her roommate and thought it was great. She has no taste buds. She admits it. She can't taste anything - so everything can be good to her. However, after going there with my husband- I have a far different opinion. Service is slow- so slow. Our waitress was not the most savory of characters. She did not even know to bring out water. Honestly- by the end of the meal ( and there were four of us) everyone was asking for a sip of my water. I'm used to sharing with my hubby, but when my MIL starts asking for a sip, you know it's not good. They all had coffee and I had water. I guess I was the liquid gold that day. Omelette was so unappealing. Flat as a pancake. The bell peppers tasted as if they were freezer burned. The other veggies were non existent. I was sure they all came from a sysco bag or whatever- even the eggs. A few times, before I food arrived, we had people coming with food that did not belong to us. I feel bad for the people that actually ordered it because they took it back to the kitchen twice. I'm sure it was quite cold when it arrived. Toast was awful. Cold. Could not eat it. You know how you leave a Chinese restaurant and feel hungry? That is how I felt a couple of hours after spending $11 on so called eggs. (oh plus tip for the really bad service)

I went in there with my family, and i wasn't so sure because of the reviews i had read but wanted to give it a shot. I definitely wont be back! 1St we waited about 40 minutes for our food. after receiving it the eggs was cold the bacon was ok the english muffin wasnt even toasted. Which is pretty much the whole order. I told the server and she ask if i wanted it remade, I said no because i didn't have another 40 minutes to wait. I assumed the manger would have came over but she never did. The prices are about as outrageous as the way this place is ran, 10.00 for cold eggs? The young man that took the payment did ask how everything was and when i told him i wasn't real happy all he said was Mmm i hate to hear that. Needless to say i wont be back nor will i recommend to any friends or family.

Excellant addition to the Ocala restaurant scene. Service was friendly and fast, although we wanted to leisurely enjoy breakfast. Wis scramble and Sante Fe were both very good. Cinnamon toast is to die for. A little pricey but well worth it. Hope they are successful in Ocala!

We have had a few opportunities to eat here this past 2 weeks. Great food. Good service and not too busy. No waiting.

The worst service I have ever had and my food came out ice cold. Waitress never even asked why she took away a full plate of food. When asked how everything was when paying I told guy horrible and his response was Ahhh too bad. I'm in the service industry and it takes a lot to make me unhappy and this was the most horrible experience.

We love the egg and I. I suspect that negative reviews are people trying to keep this this gem for themselves. Service is cheerful and patient with our tons of kids. Food is amazing (I've had the green chile hash and the chile rellenos). It's nice to go to a breakfast place with lots of interesting choices without long waits of First Watch.

Pros: Great service and friendly people. Great on refills. Cons: Went there a couple days ago for the first time for breakfast. Ordered a ham and cheese omelet and potatoes/toast. Surprised that the omelet had the ham baked into the egg with no ham OR cheese inside the omelet. (why flip it over then? might as well be a scrambled eggs with ham baked in). Just a drizzle of cheese on top of the omelet. This made for a really unappealing and dry omelet, about the worst I've ever had. Was also crispy done, borderline burned. The potatoes are super spicy so be prepared. I like a little salt and pepper but this was like something that should go with an italian meal. Pricey too. I won't be returning. 2 stars are for the nice service folks.

The egg and I. We went there on Mother's Day 2015. My wife and I ordered a late breakfast. I ordered a pancake a couple eggs and a piece of ham. My wife ordered a waffle two slices of bacon and a couple eggs. Nothing special. We had a decaf coffee and a soft drink. So far everything seems to be alright. The toast we ordered with are meals was extra. The toast was hard as a rock. But the most surprising thing about the egg and I turned out to be the price of the meals. $28. If you enjoy spending a lot for breakfast "it's the place to go". But I'm sure that there are more places with great breakfasts at a much more reasonable prices in the area. So I have to say for the food and the service two thumbs sideways for the price of the meal two thumbs down. No thumbs up for the egg and I.

First time. Apparently they have been only open for two weeks. Thought we'd have wait to be seated but the restaurant is deceptively large. Very well done decoration. Quickly seated and waited on. Friendly staff. Ordered the corned beef hash and eggs. Comes with a tasty Hollandaise sauce. Staff continued to be attentive. Seemed sincere about wanting us to be well served. Would recommend highly.

Been here several times since they have opened. The breakfast is really good. I would recommend the Wisconsin Scramble. My only complaint is that they are a little slow delivering the food and my toast is never warm, always cold.

Not thrilled. Came for lunch the first time and here for breakfast now. Service is so slow, extremely rude staff and mediocre food. Probably won't be returning

Expensive and bacon was overcooked twice

The best way to evaluate a breakfast restaurant is to order an omelet...hence my 1star review . I ordered a western omelet to be made with real cracked eggs . It arrived looking like a flat pancake ..it was tough and rubbery. the English muffin was barely toasted so I sent everything back. The manager brought the new omelet to me and said it would be delicious because she made it. She said the cook didn't know how to make an omelet using real eggs...unbelievable confession in a breakfast restaurant. The omelet made by the manager was just as poorly and improperly prepared. What a disappointment because Ocala really needs some good restaurants not just mediocre ones. Unless the kitchen workers get more training I would suggest skipping this place. It's overpriced for the quality of the food and average service.
