Love me some popeyes I'm a huge fan of the chicken tenders. Ask for crackling sauce and honey for your chicken you'll thank me.

This was my first visit to a Popeye's and I'm glad I finally decided to try it. I decided to use the drive thru and service was quick but with room for improvement. I ordered the chicken tenders with cajun fries and a biscuit. The tenders were as juicy as could be and fresh. The cajun fries were just ok, a bit overcooked and they were not served hot. The biscuit was fluffy and had a salty taste which I really enjoyed. Their menu is a bit limited in my opinion, not much different than KFC. I guess I was expecting more variety but in the end the chicken was the star of the show. The drive thru service does need some improvement. When I paid and was given my order, the lady at the window did not offer any sauces. Before she closed the window, I asked for sauce and she handed me their Blackened Ranch sauce, I was not given a choice. The sauce was blah, it tasted more like a mayoketchup sauce with mild spice which I'm not a fan of. In the future I will dine inside the restaurant.

Oh stop Bluto, this is just a heart warming review of memories for all the times I ate here with my Uncle Eddie, when I was his Swee' Pea. I'm not sure if Popeye's started in the south, but my Uncle Eddie lives in Ocala, Fl. and every time we visit Walt Disney World we have to tack on a few days to visit him. He's just as sweet and kind as could be, always picked us up at the airport and then got us to WDW. He had the neatest truck, it was huge and had a full back and front seat and two tanks. We first watched as he would make us sweat with running on fumes and then magically switched over to the other gas tank. However, Uncle Eddie's idea of taking everyone out to eat was always driving into the parking lot of this Popeye's. Even though I ate here several times with him and the family, the first time was my first Popeye's experience. What even made me think of this is my recent visit to a Popeye's in route to my mother's house, on the Pa. Turnpike. Anyway that is another review. Popeye's as we all know is a chain and they have been around for years. In recent years they have been confusing us with different signs and names for their chicken and biscuits. He would let us all order whatever we wanted and I always got the same 2 pc. fried chicken dinner, mashed potatoes with gravy and cole slaw. It isn't the best fried chicken dinner I had ever had, but oh how I really liked enjoying it with Uncle Eddie and how I loved Popeye's for making Uncle Eddie happy. To him this was a real treat.

Wait was incredibly long for a dine in order. Drink area was trashed n looked gross. When we did get our meal, my combo was shorted a strip and the replacement one was tiny. Dont even want to waste the time going on about the lack luster of this place, but really what do you expect?
