Stayed in Winton Manors and was looking for something good for breakfast. My partner and I decided to try this place out. I got an everything bagel (which wasn't what I asked for) and it was super salty..(which I thought I'd never say), my partner got a bagel with eggs and bacon. It was horrible, the eggs and bacon were not freshly cooked. If I am going to a bagel specialty place to eat if expect everything to be made to order.

This place had the best bagels in Fort Lauderdale. For those who don't like chain bagels. Get your New York bagel in Florida! Say hi to Maria for me.

We have ordered breakfast here on two occasions. Both times, we got bagel sandwiches. Once we got eggs and bacon, and another time we got eggs and ham. They make some good bagels, with the exception of the "everything" bagel, which is so salty, it's disgusting. If you're the type that applies salt to your food in apparent competition with the ocean, then by all means, get the everything. Otherwise, stick to plain or multigrain, both of which are very good. I would certainly return, but I am not about to become a regular. Good, but not amazing. Maybe it's amazing if you love bagels.

The bagels are delicious. They also have a large selection of homeade cream cheeses. I had an everything bagel toasted with bacon + chive cream cheese and it was excellent.

We used to order bagels, orange juice and whatnot from here at my job. Now we get them from a different place but I remember the bagels being very good. The other day I was over here picking up something at another business and stopped in for a sandwich. While they do have a $4 menu where you can get certain sandwiches and a drink for $4, I went for the turkey and cheese sandwich on a plain, toasted bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. The cream cheese was good, but they put a little too much on there. I guess I shouldn't complain about getting too much of it, since they supposedly make it there, but it spilled out of the sandwich while I was eating it, making for a messy lunch. The sandwich was good, though - bagel tasted just right and the turkey, cheese, sprouts etc all tasted fresh. The 2 women working that day were very friendly. My sandwich said $6.50 up on the board but somehow it only came to $6.10 including tax. If I'm over here again, I may run in for a bagel or another sandwich.

Now THEY know how to make a REAL bagel! Best bagels I've yet found in south Florida. Also outstanding focaccia bread as well as croissants and their baked goods (muffins) are superb. Wide selection of lunch and breakfast items - great friendly service - I am thrilled that I have found the place. Stopping by in the morning early on the way to work to grab some coffee - what a great idea - they have really GOOD coffee (not like the awful dunkin donuts stuff) and really cheap - not to mention free wi-fi. They make everything really tasty, best Mediterranean wrap my husband has had in ages - they are a must-visit if you're looking for good bagels or sandwiches or coffee.

I stopped in on a Saturday morning looking for a good bagel. I have had Chesapeake bagels in the past when people have brought a few dozen to work to share, but this was my first time in the store. It wasn't very busy when I came in and I placed an order for an everything bagel toasted with their salmon cream cheese spread. I also ordered an iced coffee. The order was ready pretty quickly and their drink bar is all DIY with coffee, tea, and fountain drinks. I brought the bagel home with me and shared it. They are good sized bagels and easily shareable. I don't think anyone should really eat a whole bagel past the age of 18, but they are good, so it happens sometimes. It was an everything bagel but we both agreed it was too salty. Now I'm not really faulting them too much for this. I'm from New York, I know bagels well, and I know there is a big debate about what belongs on an everything bagel. Some people feel it is not complete without salt. For me I would rather not have the pretzel salt and just the poppy and sesame seeds, onion, and garlic. If we are getting into a real bagel discussion here I should mention that this bagel also didn't have caraway seeds, which again some people feel are required on an everything bagel (again, I don't really care so much about those, but I prefer them over salt). In terms of size and texture the bagel was good and I really enjoyed the salmon cream cheese. It had quite a bit of salmon in it and was worth the upcharge. My final issue here was the coffee. I am not a coffee drinker by any means, but my boyfriend is and I have become somewhat decent at making a cup of coffee that he likes. As I mentioned here the coffee bar is DIY so i got the iced coffee and added the amount of milk and sugar I normally add and brought it back with me. He tried it and informed me that it was the most disgusting coffee he had ever tasted. I also tried it and spit it out, but I don't really like coffee that much so my opinion is probably moot. It is possible that I am partially to blame since I was the one that added the cream and the sugar, but he claimed that no amount of cream or sugar could fix this and we ended up at Dunkin Donuts to get him a decent iced coffee. I wouldn't be opposed to eating here again, but I still think there must be better bagels somewhere in south Florida, and there is for sure better coffee.

The bagels are pretty good. I'm always pleased when I can find a good salt bagel. I've been in 3 times now. Service is not as good as the bagels. The first time I visited, I stood for quite a while waiting for the 3 staff members to end their conversation amongst each other and acknowledge me and when they finally did, it was still unclear as to who, if anyone, was going to help me. The additional two times I've been in I've noticed the same thing: a staff member will look at me, I guess waiting to help me. However, anyone has yet to actually greet me, welcome me, or actually offer to assist me. Maybe my standards of service are too high but I'm not sure the bagels are good enough to make up for the lack of service and personality from the staff.

This is by far the best bagels in South Florida. Their everything bagels are just amazing. They have pretty much the usual that you can find as well as some pretty funky one like chocolate chips or sun-dried tomato. You can also find an assortment of really terrific and fresh cream cheese. My go to is an everything bagel with chive cream cheese. It's my perfect every day bagel.

They got rid of the girl that was most of their poor service issue. The staff now is actually pleasant and makes a good breakfast sandwich. I'm back going here on a regular basis and would recommend them for bagels and breakfast stuff which is all I've ever had.

Woah extremely rude staff in this place. I was in the area picking up a piece of art I had framed from the frame shop in this strip mall so I decided to try this place for breakfast. It was my first time coming here so I didn't know that you order at a different spot than you pay at. The lady talks to me like I'm a moron because I didn't know how they do things here and proceeded to shout to the other employee directly in my face. She tells me to go to other employee just to tell him the same exact thing I told her already. Mind you the restaurant was empty except for a couple outside so there was no need for all that. Should have known better than to pick a place like this considering the only clientele that they had seated here were extremely trashy. Won't be returning, obviously...

This is my route to my new job and was excited to have a bagel that was not from Dunkin or Einsten. There was no line and I got my bagel fast. I ordered the Lox Bagel and I was disappointed as the Salmon was mushy, thick and did not smell fresh. I also ordered the "everything bagel". I might not be too familiar with bagels but this one had way too many salts all over it. When I took the bite I wasn't sure if it was the salmon or Bagel that was salty. But that's when I saw the salt pieces and spent most of my breakfast picking them off. I will still give this restaurant another try, however I will not order the Lox nor do I recommend it. And I also would choose another flavor of bagel.

I visited this place before work around 7:30 am and they were already busy. They have tons of bagels to choose from and it seems that a lot of regulars go. I got an everything bagel which was very good a bit salty ( but this might be because I eat with very little salt ) they made my order fast which is a plus. They have a lot of coffee options for those of you that love that stuff lol

The sandwich was fine, but it was the rest of the experience that will keep me from coming back. And, after reading other reviews here; it looks like I'm not alone. I walked into Chesapeake Bagels for the first time on Thursday hoping to get a light lunch. The first thing I noticed was a big sign that said no free refills on coffee or soda, but didn't pay to much attention to that warning. I had to look around to find a menu, and after looking decided I wanted a Smoked Turkey Cream Cheese sandwich which was listed on the menu for $5.65. I stood around for a few minutes while the cashier was making small talk with another customer trying to keep patient because I new she saw me standing there, but didn't acknowledge my presence or seem to care that I was even there. Finally, I placed my order, but she told me I had to order on the other side of the counter. Okay, I'll go wait for someone else.... I finally get my sandwich and go to pay for it. the first woman rang it up and said the total was $6.89. I asked why so much since the menu said $5.65. She looked stupid for a minute staring at the cash register, and finally looked like she figured it out.... without any explanation what-so-ever she repeated it was $6.89. I felt poorly treated, ripped off (yah it was only a dollar, but the rudeness and indifference made me way more upset.) I just paid my money, ate my lunch and left. It's too bad, I am in their area all the time and I would probably be a repeat customers. Instead, I'm posting bad reviews on yelp.
