Our family was delighted to have won free a Free lunch at this restaurant by attending a seminar. THE food was excellent. THE atmosphere wholesome, family oriented and staff friendly. We will enjoy dining here again in THE future.

Food was great! A traditional dining experience. A little pricey but portions are good size. I had the Pattie Dukie (patty melt) and it was and generous. Just came as a sandwich so I orders fries for $1.99 more. It is a good place to eat. Simple but food is good quality!

Tasty food and decent prices. There are a lot of menu items to choose from. The sandwiches are huge. They don't come with fries or chips, but you can add a side. The nachos were just average, nothing special there. Our waitress was very busy but still upbeat and friendly. We will go back for sure

Wow. incredible. MANDATORY 15 % gratuity do the server is arrogant. And borderline RUDE!!! So angry. If we weren't in a group dinning prior to my 22 year old Nephew's MEMORIAL SERVICE. I would have made a scene complained to the manager and left. However I am and could not. But I can here. Complete presumptuous and very irritating. How dare you give Crap add service and STEAL 15% !!!!

I've been coming to Olde World since the '90s, at least. It's so old school -- you gotta love it! I mean, it's got a Tudor/Sherwood Forest theme, for the love of God! It's so awesome in a "did I just step back into the 70s?" way. Good breakfast, good sandwiches. They've tried to update their menu with things like fajitas and Asian potstickers, but you'll want to stick to the basics. It's a great place to take your parents or grandparents after church.

The Old World Restaurant is one of my favorites when visiting family in North Port. It has a unique Robin Hood & classic literature theme mixed with some other fun references on the menus. They also have some really nice murals and artwork on the walls. The theming really makes this place fun and interesting. I've always been happy with my food choices. Some quick food recommendations would be the onion rings, the onion soup au gratin, and the grouper sandwich. All of the soups, sandwiches and other comfort foods I've had here have been great! The half sandwich/cup of soup lunch special is a good deal at under $6 (it was the Robin Hood sandwich & I got the French onion soup - yum!).

If you visit a fly swatter and feather duster are mandatory. It is obvious that this establishment has been around a LONG time. Although they advertise "Robin Hood" theming, there was no evidence of such other than some menu item names and a castle painted on the wall. The décor was mostly nautical, with an overwhelming mismatch of wall art and stained glass. The food was average (it's hard to mess up a sandwich). I'll admit that the white Clam Chowder was fantastic and our waitress was friendly. The place was mostly empty and seems like a hangout for retirees. On the way out the busboy turned his head so as not to acknowledge our "thank you"; Very strange. With so many other great places around I don't think I'd go back.

Always good food and great service. Portions are more than you can eat so plan on a take home box. Clean restrooms...

Not the Old World it use to be. Service below par, food quality below par, prices less than competition. Can't be something that happens occasionally because it seems to be their 'culture.' Too bad!!

Nice place to go and eat. Never have been let down at all and I love the fish tank. I am also a fan of the pancakes here they are absolutely huge and delicious. Will always visit here when I am in desire of those delicious pancakes.

Been here a two previous times. First was a guest of a friend...very busy night, and the service suffered because of it. Chalked that up to a rather busy night. 2nd and 3rd times we went for breakfast. The menu is simplistic and not too overbearing. We were seated rather quickly, and coffee and juice came in nice order... then we placed our breakfast order. Both adults had egg orders, and son has their version of french toast. Now, that was when a couple of 3 or 4 groups of seniors came in. After that point, our table did NOT exist. Our eggs came out, runny, basically undercooked, and heavy with sauces unlike what should have been on our orders. And cold. Still no sight of our son's order. 10 mins later I had to walk over to the server who was more interested in chit-chatting with the other tables, and a hostess who was more interested in her texting on her phone, just to get refills on coffee and ask about the toast. 10mins later, coffee comes, so does french toast. both cold. Told the server, and got the excuse of, well, there are now orders ahead and it would be another 15-20 mins. We begged off... paid and left. The 3 or 4 tables of 2-3 seniors sure had the lions' share of the attention and service. This place is definitely off the to-go-to list.

I wasn't expecting much so I was shocked to have the best prime rib sandwich I've ever eaten! Most "prime rib" sandwiches I've eaten were merely sliced roast beef. This was a high quality, thick medium rare plank served with mushrooms on a croissant. At first I thought the croissant would not hold up to the sandwich and au jus, but its sweetness complimented the salty, perfectly cooked medium rare meat. Onion rings were homemade and thick and the service was impeccable. Don't let the older crowd throw you. They've found a gem.

I used to work here when I was 16 as a expediter, so I know all of the food price and prep. This place is mainly filled with old snowbirds from Canada, Michigan, Minnesota, new yrk and etch. the food is average and so is the service. overpriced but not everything. this is also one of the oldest resterants in north port. it has plenty of tables booths and bar stools for seating, plus two/three rooms for party's/get togethers. you might like it you might hate it. check it out.

This restaurant was the main reason why my husband and I decided to move to North Port a few years ago. As a child, Robin Hood was my favorite movie which inspired me to become a highly skilled swordsman and gold medal winning bowman. So, you can just imagine my excitement when I stepped foot into Olde World for the first time. It was like I had stepped back in time. I immediately had to calm myself down, so I walked into the Sherwood Forest Lounge for a stiff drink. Four drinks later, we were seated and the feast began. I highly recommend the Sheriff of Nottingham sandwich, and the Tinkerbell is delicious as well. Don't leave without ordering a tasty dessert from the rotating glass display case! I am so sad that we no longer live in North Port, so we are unable to frequent Olde World as often as we'd like. However, my husband and I have already decided to make the drive down to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Olde World in January. Maybe this time I'll spring for the Sir Loiner Steak. If you haven't eaten at Olde World, you simply haven't lived.

Twice I have eaten here, and twice I have been disappointed. The first time we went I ordered a side salad with my meal. I was charged $4 for the salad which consisted of 1/4 a head of iceburg lettuce and two, small, wilted, tomato slices. Our entrees were bland and heavy. The service was good though. The the second time I went was a nightmare. After being seated, we waited a considerable amount of time and, not seeing any staff, we decided to go somewhere else. As we started walking out of the restaurant a server ran up to us, explaining she hadn't seen us and asked us to stay. Tired and hungry, we made the mistake of staying. Again the server disappeared, and we again had to wait to place our order. After my first experience eating here I was careful what I ordered. I figure there isn't much you do wrong to a hamburger, and I ordered one medium cooked. When the food arrived I took a bite and saw that my burger was practically RAW - not rare but raw. If that burger was on the grill more than 30 seconds I would be surprised. When I called the waitress over to have it sent back to the kitchen to be cooked, she gave me attitude. I might have felt some sympathy if the place was busy and I got an apology. Instead the place was practically deserted and all I got was attitude. One of the worst restaurants experiences I have ever had. Will never go back.

I think the food is good and reasonably priced. If I had to say anything I'd like to see the servers be a tad friendly. I know it is difficult to be on ones feet for a full day but customers come to eat not just the food but for the friendly and comfortale atmosphere :) I do recommend the restaraunt though.
