OMG. Can there be 10 stars instead of just 5? We went on Wednesday and enjoyed their special Wednesday menu. This is a fish market with the freshest Fish. And oh by the way they have a restaurant too. Very limited Dining times but worth changing your schedule for We had 2# crab legs $20. Wow!!!! The fried shrimp basket was closer to calabash style so small- not our favorite Great location. Will come back

So this restaurant was good but not amazing. We came because of the stellar reviews, but it didn't really live up to that. We had a lobster roll, a shrimp roll, fish dip, tater tots, and cole slaw. The tater tots were great and the lobster roll was ok......Fish dip ok......nothing superb flavor wise though.....Very good service though, our waiter was great.

Went here for lunch on my birthday, I was truly craving some delicious sea food and we were not disappointed. We sat outside as I love outdoors, food was delicious, for appetizer we had the clam soup and the mash with fresh crab meat yummmm so delicious. I had a fresh delicious salmon and mash potatoes, my husband had a mahi sandwich that was to die for, all was all so yummy, next time we are in Palm beach gardens we will for sure return here.

What a pleasant surprise to find a fishmonger with a varied selection of fresh seafood. When I'm in the area, I'm usually staying in the Jupiter area, and the closest fish market is Pinders. Cod and Capers is a few miles further to drive, but the products are more thoughtfully displayed, fresher, and $2-3 less expensive per pound than Pinders. C & C is most definitely well worth the few extra minutes drive. The folks behind the counter provide great information as well as service. On our first visit, our guy suggested a variety of deep water shrimp that I had never tasted. He warned not to salt the water, and cook them for a short period of time. I followed his suggestion, and was so pleased, that we returned the next day to buy a whole fish. Once again, I took his lead, and purchased a fish I had never eaten before......"Mangrove Snapper". I roasted the whole fish in the oven,, and it was moist and flavorful. FYI, the restaurant is terrific as well. Cod & Capers Seafood Market and Restaurant are both keepers.

This place absolutely stinks. However they have the best selection of seafood anywhere that I've seen thus far. You can get crab shrimp fish chips breads pre made meals you name it you can get it there. They have fish roe that is fresh they have scungilli and they also have calamari. You could die and outside have a wonderful fish sandwich or one of their daily specials I've never eaten here but there's always people eating outside on the tables. So for fresh caught seafood outside of going to the ocean in a boat and pulling the fish out of the water yourself this is the freshest you're going to get.

Last week my husband and I went here for dinner while on vacation. What a special treat. The food was amazing, the service just as great, and what we (especially my husband) enjoyed the most was that seafood was all made to order. You can order as large of a portion of fish that you like. Being a grouper fan he order a 1# portion of it along with the crab mashed potatoes. I had the scallops. Delicious! And the key lime pie was amazing. Not too bitter. We will for sure be back here next time we're in town!!!!!

Stopped in to have an appetizer why waiting to meet some friends. Ordered the Florida rock shrimp appetizers and crab cakes. The rock shrimp were lightly battered and were cooked perfectly. Great service and friendly hostess. They also have a fish market where we later had ahi tuna. Fresh, clean and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back when we are in town and bring a cooler to take home some of their fresh fish.

Finally had the distinct pleasure of dining at Cod & Capers last Friday night and was not surprised how wonderful the fresh fish was presented and tasted. Being a regular satisfied customer of there retail fish market, we finally had the chance to eat at the restaurant part of this establishment.Three of us in the party picked our selection of whole fish from the show cases in the store and than proceeded to seat down in there lovely out door dining room accompanied by live steel drum music. Our knowledgeable waiter Larry, quickly came over to our table and took the rest of our order appetizers & sides to go with our fish selections and of course drinks. As we waited for our dinner to be prepared our first appetizer arrived, a full plate of lightly fried and delicately spiced conch fritters, done to perfection. While we ate fritters and drank our bottle of wine which we brought from home, we couldn't help notice the numerous amount of people enjoying there well prepared selections of fish. Our fish arrives right on time looking quite spectacular, one two pound hog snapper deep fried Bohemian style photo included, one large Lion fish filleted and prepared with a lemon butter white wine meuniere and a generous piece of maple Dijon glazed fresh Atlantic salmon, all served with perfectly cooked Bahamian peas and rice, and a nice salad. Well all I can say is the 3 of us had a wonderful feast of fresh, deliciously, and delicately prepared fish. I highly recommend any fish connoisseurs to give Cod and Capers a try, your in for a real treat! While there say Hi to Mark, a very experienced restaurateur at the helm.

If you're in the mood for seafood, any kind of seafood, Cods & Capers would be the only place to get it. While you're there I'd encourage you to check out their fish market display. One of their employees shows up at 5 am and puts down a clean layer of ice and they rebuild that excellent display every single day. Cods & Capers also cuts their fillets and fish products from whole fish, much of it locally sourced. That attention detail shows in the quality and the prices are better than most local supermarkets. We went there for lunch and the food is good, but I'd stop short of calling it great and seating is limited. I ordered the Curried Mahi because I saw it on the plate of a guy wearing a shirt and tie at the next table. When mine arrived it was good, with a decent size portion of fish, but it was visually a sad second to the dish I saw at the other table. Made me wonder if I should have worn a shirt and tie, even though I'd have to stop somewhere and buy one because this is Florida and who wears a tie? One thing that earned Cods & Capers high marks is they ask all their diners if anyone has a food allergy. My brother does because he got all the crappy DNA and the manager came over to clarify his dietary limitations. That was very thoughtful and very accommodating and a first at any restaurant in the area for them to go out of their way to ask. Because of the inconsistent food and limited seating, Cods & Capers only gets 4 stars but I won't buy seafood anywhere else after seeing the care and pride that goes into the fish counter. You can also dine in safety if you or anyone in your party has food allergies, which I thought was both considerate and worthy of praise.

My dad and I had way too much fun shopping here. Planning on grilling up whole snapper tonight paired with their seafood salad, grilled citrus asparagus, and key west pink shrimp. A little pricey, but we are not adverse to spending on quality ingredients. Would have given this market five stars except the employees were as cold to us as the dead fish!

I stopped by the market for some fresh seafood and was very impressed. Nice large selection of seafood both local and from around the world. Service was solid. I can't comment on the restaurant but it looked like a solid place to eat with some nice outdoor seating.

Very good stone crabs. This is a small local seafood store that added some tables. The seafood for sale looked awesome. I ordered the large portion of Stone Crabs. If you are in the Palm Beach-Singer Island-Jupiter area and have a kitchen, keep reading. I can't vouch for the restaurant as I only experienced the fish market, and WOW what a market. I say, if you have a kitchen and have to add, are so inclined to cook because if you are, then look no further for the best selection of the freshest local fish and seafood. We were on vacation from Chicago and happened to be in a condo where we decided to cook most meals for our family. We went to C&C on our first night for the best stone crab I've had in a long while - along with cooked shrimp, homemade Key lime pie, double baked potatoes (ready for the own) and lobster bisque. Everything was great! So great in fact that we shopped for dinner there 5 out of our 7 nights on vacation. More stone crab, little neck clams, steamers, Florida lobster tail, local swordfish, the freshest Nantucket bay scallops I've ever eaten and more cooked shrimp - not to mention that they can provision a complete meal with bread, vegetables, beer and wine, seasonings and anything else you may have forgotten elsewhere. Being in the restaurant business, I take freshness and quality seriously when it comes to fish, and this place gets it right. Not only do they sell to their restaurant, where you can eat all of this fare if you don't feel like cooking, but they sell wholesale to the areas finest restaurants and hotels. We immediately befriended a counterman named Terry who, with his no-nonsense New York State of mind, helped us each and every time we walked in - greeting us with: "so, how was everything from last night?" If you travel on your stomach like me, and are looking for the best in quality local fish and seafood, look no further. This is the place. Quality comes with a price. Expect to pay more, but you won't be disappointed.

We heard that this place is the supplier for Legal Seafood, so we decided to just go to the source. They do have some cooked food there, but it is primarily a fish/seafood market. The stone crab (pre-cooked) was delicious. The other seafood we bought (some raw shrimp and tuna steaks) and grilled was phenomenal. The prices are "market", so you will end up dropping a decent amount of money here, but it is definitely worth it. If you want to cook your own seafood, this is the place to get it at!

Cod & Capers took over the old Friday's on US1. I LOVE the design and atmosphere - very light and clean and fresh looking. It feels like you're at a restaurant on the water, so it's almost a weird feeling when you glance out of the window and see a parking lot. They have a small restaurant area now at the front and the food is pretty awesome. My parents love the Cracked Conch appetizer (good portion, fair price), I can't stop ordering the Crab Cakes, and the Shrimp Roll is a family favorite. The service is great.. definitely service with a smile. The only "downside" would be the menu is heavily seafood (obviously) and even if you go with the burger you are still in a fish market essentially so it's a very fishy smell. I don't really mind it, but won't even bother trying to take my husband there. Luckily, my fam grabs lunch there once a week or so and I'm able to get my fix! Oh and they also sell some really cute nautical/beachy items like cheese boards, aprons, serving dishes, etc. Definitely worth a try. You'll probably be back! Quick Note to the Owner: I would be thrilled if the Lobster Roll was a little less $$ or a Special every now and then. But other than that, awesome job!!
