Aside from our orders being so backwards, confused and garbled, the food was very good. We each had the chicken, pork and wing combinations. The garlic cilantro sauce could make a shoe taste good. The curry mustard is also fantastic. The yellow rice was some of the best I have ever had. The yuca was a bit off and the soup was just so-so, but the star of Pollo Tropical is definitely the chicken with the garlic sauce.

The wait is long and the beans are watery. The serving size of chicken is very inconsistent, but it usually tastes good. Sometimes in the later hours, they run out of chicken (despite having chicken in their name). They just can't seem to recover their former glory.

If you're ever in Miami and you want good cuban fast food check this place out. Highly recommended. Their Yuca Fries are amazing!

Ok, i love pollo tropical and this location seems to nail the taste better than most other locations. Despite the line, they crank out the food pretty quick, and I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes (and usually less than 5). Now the negatives: there are a lot of homeless people that live in this area and they seem to frequent businesses. On more than one occasion, I've been eating there and one or two homeless people are camped out in a table out of eye-shot of the counter. It's pretty gross to smell someone's homeless stink while you're trying to eat your delicious meal. The other negative is the manager (fat light skinned black lady). she's yelling all the time in a real ghetto fashion. It's basically a quiet inexpensive family place but you have to sit there listening to her ghetto voice echo through the place continuously. Please STFU and let people eat in peace. Food taste is awesome, quick, always get the orders right. The staff (except the manager) are very quick, polite, and sharp. I'll keep going there, but also please get the homeless people out especially if they haven't bought any food. Oh, one more thing "La Granja" doesn't compare. That place sucks compared to pollo. La Granja is very inconsistent often dried out food from hours ago. I ate there three times and only once was the food even decent.

BEST BLACK BEANS AND RICE /JERK CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD! OMG! A friend from Miami recommend I eat here while visiting.. I must say its inexpensive and delicious! When in Miami check it out!

I love the quarter chicken here with rice & beans. It's especially good when you do the survey and get if for free on every Pollo Tropical receipt. I also get the $4.99 meal special, my favorite is the Classic Chicken Sandwich with Caesar dressing very yummy, their plantains are usually on point too.

This is my second time visiting this location and again the food was on point.... I don't know what it is but it is something about this location's chicken that make you just wanna slap yo momma uuuumh the food was soo good... If in the area no matter how many time you been to a Pollo Tropical it seems all locations are good but not created equal... :)

Their drive-through looked pretty busy! They have special coupons for wings on the bus ads inside, which also got them more customers. Way to go :) Good value food for affordable price. I love their sauce station - the curry mustard, the salsa (in which I add white onions and lemon juice), and more lemon juice. lol I usually go for the chicken TropiChop w/ white rice & black beans, but instead went with the yellow rice & veggies (which were really diced carrots and peas, etc.) And this is where I used to get my sweet plantains, which I got addicted to, but skipped it this time.. No need to get sugar rush this time since I drank a red bull today. :) I'm also so fond of their Caribbean soup.. that one can fill you up! It's nice to have one of those if they're close to your work and you forget your lunch. Great location choice, especially on 163rd Street!

Great tasting chicken. The pulled pork is super tender but a little bland; you supplement it with their different sauces to make it exciting. The ribs are also very tender. The yellow rice is quite good. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Price is not very cheap, on the average you pay 8$ plus the soda. Will come back here again anytime.

What happened??? I used to love Pollo Tropical but this location just sucks! Maybe I'll try a different location next time. Second time here & it wasn't good. VERY rude service & they messed up my order. I won't be back

Such rude people. I was nice and everything, but they were too into their attitude to smile. And the food was eek. It was better before but quality went downhill. Would not come back.

This pollo tropical deserves 4 stars! NO its not that delicious and amazing but as far as fast food and pollo tropical is concerned this one seems to be my go to location. The chicken is always fresh and not overly dry like most other locations. Service is speedy even though there is always a line whether you drive through or order inside.

The manager on duty tonight was working the drive through intercom , she kept repeating the order wrong & was so rude . I said ma'am you don't need to be rude! She screams back! I'm not being rude, we pulled up to the window the lady was sweet & Spanish so I asked where's the manager the lady behind you taking drive through orders was rude. This sweet lady pointed in fear at her & said that's her ! How can she made it to manager position talking ghetto and screaming at patrons . Will not return to this location again. Calling the 1800 number on the receipt because of how appalled this experience was.

Me (on the phone): Hey cuz the plane should land in FL at about 6:30 pm. Could you have some Pollo Tropical ready for us at your house? PLEASEeeeeeeeeee!!! Cuz: No prob...haha...I know you LOVE your pollo tropical. Chill. It's THAT serious guys. This Pollo Tropical location is the best. My family in FL introduced me to Pollo Tropical when I was kid. It always reminds me of good times and good eats. I've tried the Pollo Tropical in New Jersey and it's just NOT the same. The chicken at THIS location is so much juicier and seasoned to perfection. Some of their Menu Items Include: Marinated and Grilled Chicken Roast Pork Ribs Fajitas White, Yellow, and Brown Rice (Pollo Tropical doesn't discriminate) Beans Fried Yuca Sweet Plantains Salads Tres Leches Flan Smoothies *Salsa Bar (free): diced onions, salsas, different sauces Their Platters and Family Meals are extremely affordable. Delicious food, quick service, and all for a great price.

Food is good! But their always forgetting one thing out of the whole order! Well the drive thru it happens more often! Eating inside is better!

Well this place is consistently good, but given that La Granja is down the street, which is cheaper and more flavorful and I am at a loss. Don't get me wrong, I love Pollo Tropical, but i'ts just not as authentic as it once was... at least to me. But despite all this, I love their entrees, their fried yuca and their mojo pork are definite winners. One thing that this location has to do is cover up their potholes. When I was getting out of the care after a full day of rain my foot landed on a mini lake while wearing flip flops.... not fun.

I've never had to wait for a long time at pollo, the food is always good, and nobody ever messes up your order. My favorites: chicken breast with rice and beans! And let me tell you, I'm no rabbit but they have the best damn chicken ceasar salad I ever tasted in my life! they are not skimpy on the chicken! Pollo is the place to go when you want something fast but not fast food!
(4)Sherilet D.
They need to open locations in NY! We need these over there! Lol very good, well seasoned food for cheap!
(4)Willy M.
I used to come to this Pollo Tropical a lot and was a great place to buy fast latin food, and get a lot of good items and get really full but... First they took off the side order... Then took off the salad..... Now they give you everything separate which is less..... This is NOT a cheap restaurant......... Better go to LA GRANJA !!!!!, its cheaper and better food The same with the one in Hallandale !!!!!
(1)Melissa A.
This location is gross and wait time is horrible! The food is served so poorly in proportions and presentation. Yes it's fast food, but c'mon! Does not have to be splattered everywhere and mixed in with my other things. Do NOT get the balsamic tomatoes...been sitting for god knows how long!!! Feel sick every time after eating there. Other locations are way better. They need more staff to help with the drive thru. Better yet, new management to help run better and more efficiently.

This location has the typical Pollo Tropical food and it's served-up well but this location's closing times are errant. In typical South Florida fashion, this location sometimes closes 30 minutes earlier, but other times can be seen open at 12:30 am! It makes no sense!
