We had an excellent meal. There are options for everyone, and the service was great too.
(5)Evie S.
I wasn't very impressed with the three dishes I tried. The place was nice though and the service was good.
(3)Simone K.
Friendly staff, wasn't impressed with the food though. I wish they had more vegan options and their fish wasn't season but the Mac n Cheese is to die for!

It's true. I am not posting nearly as often as I once did. There are multiple reasons for this that all stem for the same source...I have a one year old. Going out to eat doesn't happen very often anymore...because I have a one year old. When I do get out for a treasured, rare, date night with my husband, I never seem to find the time to write about it...because I have a one year old. When we go out as a family, it's usually to places we've been before, or where we know the owners...because I have a one year old. Today was different. Today was a VERY special day. It was the first day in over a year that I took an official day off from my one year old. Now don't get me wrong. I loooooove being a mom. I loooooooove spending time bonding with, playing with, and taking care of her, but OMG, today was glorious. First on the agenda was to finally go for lunch at Cafe Evergreen. I've heard such great things about it and the menu is incredible....sooooo many pescaterian options that sound amazing. When I sat down the friendly waitress made some suggestions at my request and they were ALL appealing. Clearly I'm going to need to make a few more visits. I told her why it was a special day for me and she was totally supportive and amused, and stayed to chat a bit before she left me to ponder the menu options. The manager came by soon after with a complimentary edamame appetizer which was a nice touch- although I didn't love the strong seasoning they put on it. I prefer my edamame done classically with just a pinch of sea salt. When the waitress returned for my order I told her that I was taking her recommendation of the Roasted Beet Reuben and I chose the Arugula/apple/almond salad as my side. She had mentioned to me that she'd never had beets (?!?) before that sandwich and that she really loved it. Beets are one of my very favorite foods, and lately I've been on a huge sauerkraut kick, so it didn't take much to convince me. As I reveled in my aloneness, I let my mind wander to this blog and how I used to find such satisfaction in writing entries. I looked forward to this moment of writing and reminiscing about my meal, and vowed to make more of an effort to stick with it even with the challenges that motherhood has brought. I decided right then and there that there would be more of an effort to take 'me' days, and that those days would surely include more trying restaurants by myself like I used to in the 'old days'. My meal came out looking delicious and I dug right in. WOW. That sandwich was shockingly good. Fresh, lightly-toasted, marble rye, warm, sweet, roasted, beets, melty Swiss cheese, tangy sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. These are things that I wouldn't have guessed would taste so so so good together but seriously, it was one of the best flavor combos I've ever had. The salad was simple and perfect with a light, creamy, dill dressing that complimented the whole meal beautifully. When the waitress came to check on me I raved about my lunch, so happy that I'd finally gotten down to Venice to check this great cafe out. She joked with me that given my day-off-rose-colored glasses, situation, it probably wasn't too hard to impress me. Well, maybe she was right...but this really was an absolutely perfect meal. Lunch with a large side of freedom. I'll be back for sure.

Decided to try this based on the stellar reviews. We were not disappointed. Our server Sarah was beautiful, friendly and made great suggestions. Tried the blueberry wine (kinda dry), bortsch, hubby had soup of the day and French dip, with Napa cabbage slaw and I had the kelp noodle stir fry. All of which were fantastic. Great experience and felt good as all of the food is organic and healthy. We will definitely take the trip up again!
(5)Susie K.
This is our second visit to this lovely restaurant. They are serious about serving tasty and healthy. We loved the black bean burger and baked sweet potato fries with yogurt dip. Yum... The staff are friendly and informative. They represent the restaurant very well. The floor space is clean, bright and decorated nicely.
(5)Mary G.
Always so good. .. Best wild salmon is florida. I don't know how they get fresh salmon from the Pacific coast?
(5)Blair W.
All the money. Great Yelp place. Had the Salmon and organic veggies and rice- wanted more. Not a sleepy heavy full. I will be back for that turkey Reuben sliced right off the Thanksgiving turkey itself.
(5)Michelle L.
I was really impressed with this restaurant's food choices that appeal to many types of diets. I came for dinner and ordered the roasted cauliflower and shrimp potato gnocchi. My partner had the special of the evening, which was some type of falafel with spinach and peppers. We finished off with the almond balls. I don't think there's anything negative I could say about the whole experience. Our server (I've forgotten his name by now) was incredibly sweet and even took one of our suggestions to the kitchen for a possible future menu item. This was a great, healthy place for a meal, and we're sure to return.
(5)Jay E.
This place was a delight. They have a combination of seafood, vegetarian and meat dishes to choose from. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had a pasta special with salmon and shrimp that had a light sauce and was some of the best salmon I have had in years in this area. The salads were fresh and had a nice variety of vegetables. Even had room for a chocolate desert that was great. Strongly recommend this place. Semi casual but nice interior decor.
(5)Joanne S.
I had beet Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. Service was fast, smart & friendly. Large variety of beverages & desserts. Great place with organic food.
(5)Matthew R.
Delicious and interesting food. Excellent service. Imaginative flavors. We tried several items and all were good. I really enjoyed the mildy spicy black bean burger. My wife loves butternut squash ravioli as well as pesto sauce. They had a dish of both! (Not the perfect combo though. The pesto sauce would have been better on the gnocchi with the alfredo on the ravioli). I would definitely go back and try more of the menu.
(5)Dave A.
Yelp reviews were right on. Liked everything ordered, and I am an overly picky eater. Bonus my wife loved it even more.
(5)Diane A.
Wow, incredible gem among a bunch of uninspired, heavy serving-size places! This restaurant has it going on for Vegans and meat eaters alike. Kudos!
(5)Carly M.
Evergreen is a real gem in this small beach town. It's easy to overlook from the street, but it's a great location on your way to or from the beach or shops in Downtown Venice. The restaurant has a juice bar up front (with slightly earlier hours during the week), and a market around the back. The atmosphere inside is clean and relaxing with a fireplace, big windows, and a wall of greenery. There always seems to be a lot of people working here, which means you are well taken care of - food arrives promptly and drinks are refilled. The food is delicious, organic, and mostly light-tasting. The kind of food that is flavorful, fresh, and filling, but not in huge (double/triple?) portions common in America. So you leave feeling satisfied and peppy, not sluggish and hating yourself. We've been in town about a week and have eaten here for dinner, lunch, and breakfast, along with a bonus stop for juice to go. This trip is about relaxing and rejuvenating and I'm so glad to have food options that can help me in this goal instead of fried, processed, preservative-laden junk! It seems like lunch is their busy time, so later in the week you may try to arrive at off-peak times. Breakfast on Sunday morning was not crowded. Specific food we ordered: butternut squash ravioli (vegan) with a fresh side salad was excellent, filling and with a good flavor and texture. I'm a meat eater and didn't feel like I was missing out. Quinoa cakes were cheesy and accompanied by a light dressing. They fell apart a bit, but were not too difficult to eat. Interesting texture and good flavor, especially thanks to the sauce and greens. I had these with a cup of soup for lunch. Cranberry pecan pie was a tall, thick wedge of mostly cranberries with a few pecans. This was definitely not what I was expected, but was completely delicious and apparently low calorie. Good to share. Temple Tonic smoothie - my favorite. No banana to overpower the drink. Great consistency thanks to high grade equipment at the smoothie bar. They even got my mom hooked on wheat grass juice! Prices here can't be beat for fresh, homemade, organic food. In a major metropolitan area you could pay nearly double.
(5)Kim B.
Great healthy dinner for 2. Enjoyed dinner on patio w dogs. Staff was very accommodating bringing bowls of water. Enjoyed cauliflower appetizer, bbq brisket and salmon special. Also had the house healthy lemonade juice. Wanted to try much more.
(5)Eric B.
We are not going to break tradition with the 5 star reviews. We ate here on a Sunday, with excellent friendly servers and unbelievably delicious food. Easy place to get a great bite to eat Nokimis. We had the organic hamburger, the bison burger, and the French dip with Manchego cheese. All three meals were delicious. The baked sweet potato fries are delicious for a healthy yet decadent side dish, and the edamame salad is exceptional.
(5)Robin R.
A great spot to check out if enjoy and appreciate fresh organic food that tastes great too! I checked out this place for lunch and returned for breakfast a few days later. I would definitely come back again.
(5)Patti P.
I can't say enough great things about this Cafe. The food, service, and cleanliness is always superb! Great selection of items to choose from on the menu and the beauty of it is knowing its organic. Great taste and healthy! I highly recommend this great find!
(5)conor b.
Good food from a place that offers a desperately needed fresh take on healthy cuisine. Quinoa cakes are absolutely amazing. I'm not a vegan but I definitely appreciate all the different options, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and of course fares that celebrate the carnivorous type. The hip servers are pretty thoughtful and attentive to your needs. Food is healthy, and tastes healthy, but the salads are generous and deliciously topped with their homemade ranch. The bison meatloaf is a real standout, their gluten free Mac is refreshingly good and their Reuben is great in any form from vegan to turkey. Casual spot, and you can feel good eating there without leaving feeling sick. Don't leave without a slice of cheesecake!
(4)Andrew P.
Great grouper sandwich. Awesome service. Perfect breeze while sitting in the covered open air patio.
(5)Jim W.
I had the blueberry wine, eggplant with quinoa, and the almond balls for dessert. My dad had vegetarian gnocchi, cheesecake, and fresh squeezed lemonade. Everything was delicious and the service was great.
(5)Joyce C.
Went there this afternoon after reading the reviews on Yelp. Lovely place, clean and comfortable. The menu had something for just about any hungry person. I had the peach/ginger tea and Larry had the black tea, both good and the refills kept coming...Larry, the meat eater, chose the very lean brisket, he said it was really good. I had the eggplant wrap, packed with fresh vegetables. We both enjoyed the Napa cabbage slaw, no unhealthy mayo here...darn we were too full to try a dessert or 2, and I love dessert. Will we be back?? You can count on that....sooner rather than later...next time I think breakfast....
(5)Amanda F.
Today was our second time visiting. The food is fresh and very flavorful. They have a great organic menu including herbivore and omnivore selections. The staff has been more than nice. This place has quickly become a favorite. It is refreshing to see organic restaurant options in our area. If you like beets, the Reuben will make you love them.
(5)David E.
Awesome healthy/organic restaurant. A unique place to eat in Nokomis/Venice. The tea and smoothie selection is fantastic and service has been great every time I have been. Definitely A must try!
(5)Gabriel M.
I just tried the turkey Reuben and it was the best Reuben I've ever had. The salads are great, the juices and smoothies amazing and the service is awesome. Will keep coming back for more. Always something new to try. Oh I forgot, the sweet potato baked fries are to die for!!!! Great job Cafe Evergreen.
(5)Valerie P.
Cute little spot. We sat outside. We had the seared ahi tuna appetizer it was cooked perfectly. Tortilla soup was delicious, full of flavor. I had the bison burger and my husband had the classic Ruben. We both enjoyed our meal. We took the cupcakes to go. Service was good. We didn't try any of the teas but it looked interesting.
(5)Diane S.
Love this restaurant! It was our first time here and won't be out last. House salad with many veggies topped by choice of about 10 different homemade dressings. We had the Thai peanut and the line dressings and thought they were so good they we ended up buying some to bring home with us. Entree was blackened salmon with an Asian sauce topped with pecans. So so good! Husband had potato gnocchi topped with a full garlic cream sauce and shrimp. He wished he could lick the bowl it was so good. We were full but since we were so pleased with our meal, we ordered dessert. 3 small cupcakes each with filling and a delicious frosting. Menu is healthy, organic, and very appealing. Will definitely come back. Soon.
(5)Janet M.
As others have said, good place for organic food. Good cauliflower appetizer. Great taste on the barbecued beef, however, it was decidedly not tender. Okay avocado salad... very pricey for what you get. Would make it a regular place if I lived in the area.
(4)Kate B.
The zucchini pancakes and honey almond latte were delicious! Same with the breakfast burrito and corned beef hash. Staff was very nice, great service.
(5)Nadine N.
Favorite place in Venice area. We eat here almost a once a week. Always fresh, tasty and friendly service. Favorite apps / dishes: Pesto salad, sweet potato fries, tuna sliders. I have to talk myself out of coming more often just because I don't want to look like I'm crazy for showing up all the time, but nothing beats their quality or their prices in the area.
(5)Marissa H.
So delicious. Healthy food that's so tasty. Quinoa cakes were awesome. Our kids devoured organic burger. Great find trying to past the time from I 75 traffic.
(5)Jim M.
The chicken Waldorf salad wrap was great, the berry smoothie was good and the edamame salad was very good. I think it's above my price point for lunch but you have to pay appropriately for organic fare. The edamame appetizer was a nice touch. Watch out, it's spicy! I will go again and try something else to see what up. I took half of the wrap with me since it was quite large. So I suppose it makes the cost more reasonable. ;)
(4)Crystal M.
This place is AMAZING! Every single bite tasted scrumptious. The edamame starter had spice to wake up your test buds. For appetizers we got broiled cauliflower and baked sweet potato fries. For two of us, there was enough that we really wouldn't have had to eaten more. We ordered, however, the beet Reuben and eggplant Napoleon. Oh my goodness! Both were divine! Not to be deterred, we decided to go all out and order dessert. Pecan cranberry pie and Raw almond balls. I think we were too full to appreciate them. The pie was definitely not like a pecan pie. It is more a cranberry pie with crumbled pecans on it. The almond balls were good. In the future, I'd probably skip dessert but am glad we tried them :) if you are in the Nokomis area and want very good, reasonably priced healthy foods for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans, you MUST try Cafe Evergreen!
(5)Aimee F.
Had a wonderful dinner at Cafe Evergreen! Patrick our server was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions on our first visit. He seemed extremely proud to be working at this restaurant and we are so happy to find a healthy place to dine!
(5)Dayanita W.
What a place!!! The food was extraordinary and the service outsatnding. The great thing is that this place is MSG and Sodium Benzoate free... which mean they use natural herbs to season their meals.... ( they dont use these awful preservatives that are so bad for yoir system). I which most places that claim to be green and healthy will adopt cafe evergreen philosophy. Thumps up for them.
(5)T S.
10 Stars not 5 -HOLY COW this place is Absolutely AMAZING! Wide selection- local resourced organic clean and great staff. Visiting family here and just found it! Great for people who have food allergies & paleo. Our server Rusty was so educated and spectacular. We are doing breakfast lunch & dinner until we depart.
(5)Alana S.
The food here is truly fresh and delicious. You can tell the chef cares how the food tastes and uses only the best ingredients. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Come here to this hidden gem. It is fantastic.
(5)Gabriel M.
The service was great. The place is spotless and the food amazing. The avocado salad came with hummus and a delicious vinaigrette. I usually don't like vinaigrette and this one was great!!! The smoothies had so much taste, I can assure you my banana almond milk smoothly had a whole banana in it!! WOW this is definitely a big surprise. I've been to other healthy restaurants in sarasota and this is by far the best. Will definitely be back!!!!
(5)Robert V.
We were visiting for the Fox Lea horse show. When we arrived at lunch time, the parking lot was completely full. The restaurant was packed with a few groups, each taking up an entire row of tables. That's ok, we sat outside with our lab, they have 3 covered tables just outside the main door. Wife ordered the veggie burger, I ordered the veggie wrap. Both tasted great and the servers were very friendly asking us how things were. Also had an angel smoothie which tasted great.
(5)Analisa T.
It was so great to find this place (thanks to Yelp). We tend not to eat too healthy when we travel because it is difficult to find good organic, well-thought out, good for you food when you eat out. This place was a breath of fresh air. The flavor combinations are unique but fabulous. The waitress was informative and attentive without being annoying. EVERYTHING was delicious and they were very accommodating of allergies that one of our guest had. The portions were what a normal person should eat...not those massive portions of grease and fat you get in so many restaurants these days. I will caution about the price of their Evergreen Smoothies (various delicious types offered). After 6 of us each had one, it added up to about $40 in smoothies before we even ordered our meals. Café Evergreen will definitely be one of our regular dining locations when we are in the area.
(5)M R.
Really delicious and healthy food. We ordered a banana smoothie with almond milk and an avocado veggie salad and both were delicious! Yummy healthy!!
(5)Mei L.
Service was so much better today during lunch hour on a Saturday. Edamame complimentary before our meals. Although, it does peek my curiosity if they do have other complimentary items. I was in the mood to try something different on their menu and turned out, it was the right move! I had to the Kelp noodle over quinoa with chicken. The chicken was cut in chunks, kind of dry but the sweet sauce that was drizzled over it complimented the dryness. It was a lite and scrumptious meal! I also tried another one of their specials, it was the grouper sandwich that came with a choice of soup. The beets soup depends on preference, as for mine, the taste overall was lite and interesting. I say, interesting because with a couple sips, I could taste each ingredients. Yes, it was yummy but beet juice stains like a bitch! (Thankfully it only got to my napkin and not to my clothes lol) Last, to clean my palette, I drank organic jasmine hot tea. A pot of steaming hot water was served with a cup and tea bag. I babied the tea while it steeped in with the hot water. It stayed hot even when I finished both of my meals. Next time I'm in town, I need to try out their smoothies bar (*note to self)! :) Thanks Cafe Evergreen for another fantastic experience!
(5)Jeff W.
My wife had rabbit and I had the French Dip. It was an awesome experience. The food was absolutely the best non-seafood to be found in Nokomis. Tucked in an old building., the restaurant has a very warm feeling. Max, our waiter was as good as they get and a real pro. This is going to be our new go-to place for healthy food at very affordable prices.
(5)Lidia J.
Great service. Healthy tasty food! Temple tonic was so delicious We split a heavenly bison burger Soup of the day was kale/onion/broccoli
(5)Nancy J.
The dynamic duo of Ted (culinary brain) and Annette (Holistic influence) have created a safe haven for us healthy, organic foodies. What a breath of fresh air in a ho hum food saturated world. I was like a kid in a candy store looking at the food and drink menu. Finding healthy organic food is very hard to do when eating out. The owners work together to create meals that tantalize the taste buds and drinks that are truly refreshing and naturally energizing. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. If you are curious about eating organic and healthy or have questions about how something is made or what makes it organic, Annette (one of the owners) will be more that happy to talk you. The food is beautifully presented when brought to the table and the flavors make you say mmmmmmmm with every bite. I can't say enough good things about this dining paradise. Don't pass by it.
(5)Felicia G.
Fricken love it here. They have everything from a full juice and smoothie bar to breakfast and dinner. Food is awesome and they make eating healthy enjoyable. They also have a fresh market in the back! Waiting staff is incredible. Would recommend this place to anyone.
(5)Pat A.
Healthy Food. Lovely little cafe. Really nice ambiance. The Edamame was seasoned perfectly. Sauteed Kale was tasty. Napa Cabbage Slaw was crisp and flavorful. The Grilled Eggplant Wrap with hummus and roasted red peppers was very good, but a tad too much cumin for my taste. And of course the Borscht Soup was perfect! Music was a little loud, but as soon as we asked to lower, they did immediately. In the back outside the cafe is a wonderful little organic farmers market. The staff was so nice.... I am excited to go back to try their breakfast and dinner and I will let you know how it is.
(4)Harriett Z.
Great place. A very fresh feel from moment you enter. Exactly what so many restaurants in this area are lacking. Service was excellent, not good, excellent. Attentive without being hovering. Food delicious. DH said best Reuben sandwich that he could remember. He doesn't like big Dagwood sandwiches. He said it was perfect. There were so many options for me as a vegetarian. Highly recommend.
(5)Jocelyn H.
This place is a gem. I love the original organic sweet leaf sweet tea and the sweet potato fries. They are always a must when I am here.
(4)Robin A.
While on vacation in Venice, I was so pleasantly surprised to find this place by searching for "organic restaurant." We honestly could have eaten here for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Phenomenal place, real food and good prices. I had the egg wrap on gluten free wrap and it was excellent. My boyfriend had the zucchini pancakes with a side of turkey bacon. The fresh cold pressed juice is wonderful too. One night for dinner we got the wings (amazing!!) and sweet potato fries. Don't miss this hidden gem if you're in Venice or Osprey.
(5)Abram S.
Remarkably fresh and delicious food I would say this is the best restaurant in that Venice has to offer! Real food, made fresh. I would recommend this to anyone they have a large variety of food offerings many of which are organic, They offer multiple handmade dressings for their salads we had the avocado vinaigrette and the ranch both were smooth and delicious. Incredible service and a very welcoming environment for children. This restaurant could / should throw sharky's of the pier easily.
(5)Rachel M.
There is a good reason this place has now 50 reviews with average of 5 stars. The organic food options here are amazing. There are many salads, sandwiches, entrees and drinks. Their juices and smoothies alone are quite extensive. There is matcha tea iced and hot just for Melony. My hubby had the chicken with Potato gnocchi and portabello mushrooms. The flavor is vibrant. I know that sounds like a fluffy word, but no other way to describe it. I had the kelp stir fry with chicken and veggies. I never had kelp noodles before. Hard to imagine that it is made of kelp seaweed, and it's not a carb. Totally amazing. I had a fresh coconut with coconut water. My little shihtzu named Mocha Coconut had to try his name sake. The berry smoothie was great as well. Everything here was wonderfully fresh and organic.
(5)Robert C.
Found this lunch spot on Yelp (of course) and as we were passing right by...glad we stopped in. The space is comfy and the staff is warm and friendly. The food is health conscious, fresh and wonderful. The selections of dishes, teas and smoothies will please the vegans and carnivores alike. I had the most amazing grass fed steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms, and my wife opted for a healthy salad.
(5)Scott W.
Great stop at Café Evergreen. My wife and I are both gluten free so this seemed like a good choice. They have an excellent juice and smoothie menu. I stopped by earlier in the day for an Americano and a shot of organic wheat grass. The guys are the bar were great. Dinner was fantastic, my wife had the organic, grass fed burger and I had the wild salmon with a delicious sweet pecan and Asian style sauce. Prices were fair considering the fresh organic and free range ingredients. They have a fresh produce market as well as breakfast on the weekends. If I lived in the area I would definitely be back often.
(4)John F.
Great food, friendly staff ....BUT VERY NOISY. If you plan on eating inside, bring your ear plugs. They have a few tables outside which are much quieter, even though Tamaimi Tail is nearby. I love their Borscht as well as all their beef sandwiches. My bride loves their Wheat Grass shots and smoothie bar.
(5)Phyllis M.
Wow! What a place! Organic, local and reasonably priced! Don't drive by like we did last week! Stop in and try the gluten free burger and sweet potato fries. Loved it!
(5)Pat D.
fantastic.... please go to this place the best place coming back tomorrow great service
(5)Mechelle C.
It is not that often that one would plan a cafe stop that is "out of the way" on their vacation, but we never come within 50 miles of this place without stopping. Café Evergreen is well worth it! Their smoothie bar is full of tantalizing concoctions that make decision making a chore. They also have my personal fav...wheatgrass shots with a natural foam on top! The Avocado Salad is huge and could be shared if you were not very hungry. I was hungry so I ate the whole thing. And get this - they bring complementary edamame beans to the table! Delish!!! Oh...and last but not least, the service is EXCELLENT !!!
(5)Joe L.
Good juice menu, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Not so great for sitting outside since it's basically right next to the road, but overall the food was good, yet also healthy, and the service was friendly. Would go again.
(4)Lady K.
Finally-REAL FOOD in Nokomis. I've had my eye on this little place ever since seeing that it was opening. Great menu for all people and especially vegetarians. I'm usually ready to order pretty quickly because all restaurants in this area have either 1 or 0 vegetarian option. So I was pleasantly surprised when I actually had to think about what I wanted to try. :) Clean place, great service and the food was so good. Not overly priced for organic food; the little produce shop in the back was somewhat expensive, understandably so. One of my favourite things about a restaurant like this is, when I leave I feel good, not bloated, not 'stuffed', but full and just good. This was much needed in Nokomis as there are limited options for healthy food.
(5)Jill W.
Wow! So yummy! I had the salmon salad, it was delicious. The food was fresh healthy and interesting. The ambience was lovely. We really enjoyed it. My parents were really excited to find a new place to eat. Definitely order the ice tea.
(5)Mike A.
Went on Yelp to find local restaurants. Had to try it out do to the 5 star reviews. Came here with my wife and 3 kids from Chicago and it was amazing. Service was outstanding. Met the owner - she was gracious. Our server Cassandra was top notch. Food was terrific. Will definitely come here again next time we are in town.
(5)KrisTina M.
Another great recommendation by Yelp! Decor was soothing, waitstaff helpful, food fabulous. Was in just before lunch and am glad as it got busy very quickly. Great menu, will be back to try more. got the Salmon Salad. Fresh, delicious, just what it ought to be.
(5)Deirdre C.
Cafe Evergreen is a great new addition to the Venice restaurant scene. Such healthy, we'll prepared food in a pleasant, clean setting. I went with two friends, and we each chose something different but equally pleasing. I had the avocado wrap with the edamame salad - terrific, while one gal had the Reuben with slaw and the other friend the arugula salad. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that there is no ice water. You pay for filtered water with lemon - served at room temperature. The service was good. We will definitely be back.
(5)Hoolia C.
Best quality food for miles- absolutely amazing mix of healthy and decadent. Wonderful owners too! I am very grateful they are here and will frequent them often.
(5)Brandon G.
Table for two please. We found the place to be very loud, unable to have conversation in dining room. While the food on our plates was tasty, the portions were very small. Now I know this to be the healthy way of eating these days. However I will practice this at home, not while dining out. Also when you order a side of edamame, you should not be able to count how many are in the dish at a glance. This is generally served in a abundant fashion which makes it a fun healthy appetizer.
(2)Kris B.
This was a great food experience. The menu was amazing and would please the vegan or the meat eater. I had the butternut ravioli with a pesto sauce which came with salad. I chose the avocado vinaigrette and hubby got the beef brisket with a delicious chipotle BBQ sauce, sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Yummy! We also had specialty beers from the menu. There was plenty of choice on the food and drink menu for us and the other 4 in our party. Service was perfect as well.... Very attentive (but not oppressive) and knew the menu well. Hope others also enjoy this place. Wish it was in my hometown. Cheers!
(5)Ruth P.
Just had lunch at Evergreen. The place was packed at 1 p,m, The atmosphere is delightful - an historic landmark that was once the post office. I had the hummus appetizer plate and a small bowl of borst. It was great. I would like more garlic in the hummus. Jaye and Jane had salads and they raved. Our server was excellent. After lunch we shopped in the all organic market in the back of the building.

Soon.

(5)Patti P.
I can't say enough great things about this Cafe. The food, service, and cleanliness is always superb! Great selection of items to choose from on the menu and the beauty of it is knowing its organic. Great taste and healthy! I highly recommend this great find!
(5)Dave A.
Yelp reviews were right on. Liked everything ordered, and I am an overly picky eater. Bonus my wife loved it even more.

(5)Joanne S.
I had beet Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. Service was fast, smart & friendly. Large variety of beverages & desserts. Great place with organic food.
(5)Diane A.
Wow, incredible gem among a bunch of uninspired, heavy serving-size places! This restaurant has it going on for Vegans and meat eaters alike. Kudos!
(5)Andrew P.
Great grouper sandwich. Awesome service. Perfect breeze while sitting in the covered open air patio.
(4)Jim W.
(5)Janet M.
As others have said, good place for organic food. Good cauliflower appetizer. Great taste on the barbecued beef, however, it was decidedly not tender. Okay avocado salad... very pricey for what you get. Would make it a regular place if I lived in the area.
(4)Nadine N.
(5)Kate B.
The zucchini pancakes and honey almond latte were delicious! Same with the breakfast burrito and corned beef hash. Staff was very nice, great service.
(4)Mei L.
(5)Robin A.
(5)Harriett Z.
(5)Hoolia C.
Best quality food for miles- absolutely amazing mix of healthy and decadent. Wonderful owners too! I am very grateful they are here and will frequent them often.
(2)Scott W.
(5)Kris B.
(5)Simone K.
Friendly staff, wasn't impressed with the food though. I wish they had more vegan options and their fish wasn't season but the Mac n Cheese is to die for!
(3)Susie K.
(5)Blair W.
All the money. Great Yelp place. Had the Salmon and organic veggies and rice- wanted more. Not a sleepy heavy full. I will be back for that turkey Reuben sliced right off the Thanksgiving turkey itself.
(5)Mary G.
Always so good. .. Best wild salmon is florida. I don't know how they get fresh salmon from the Pacific coast?
(5)Carey Y.
(5)Joe L.
Good juice menu, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Not so great for sitting outside since it's basically right next to the road, but overall the food was good, yet also healthy, and the service was friendly. Would go again.
(4)Robert C.
(5)Carol H.
When we are looking for something special - this is our place to go. I am a die-hard mac and cheese girl, but since I've gone gluten-free it's not easy to find - theirs is really very good - satisfies that graving! You'll enjoy this cafe!
(5)Jennifer C.
(5)Caroline H.
We had an excellent meal. There are options for everyone, and the service was great too.
(5)Evie S.
I wasn't very impressed with the three dishes I tried. The place was nice though and the service was good.
(3)Michelle L.
