Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Hidden gem. New York style (and quality) Italian food in Florida. Modest decor, but come for the food; you won't regret it!

The lasagna with meat sauce was excellent, highly recommend. The calamari was a little disappointing but, the dinner portions are huge. Come hungry and ready to eat.

A 3 is generous. We vacation in this area every year (for the last 12 years). If you are looking for cleanliness or good service, do not eat here. This visit, the server actually said, "don't suck those (drinks) down, I don't have time for refills." She did however give us refills, so you have to take the roughness with a grain of salt. My husband loves their hot Italian sandwich, so this is must stop for him every trip. I have tried a variety of pastas over the years. I would recommend sticking to the pizza and sandwiches.

Went because a local sent us, and it was nice. The family is from Buffalo, and this restaurant could have been transported directly from there. The whole family was in the bar chatting with the regulars and made it seem like every small town family place you've ever been in. Anyone from the NorthEast would feel right at home.

One word to describe the food, wonderful! Would have given 5 stars , but the atmosphere lacks with regard to the inside set up, which is small. The food is very good. The calamari is one of the best I have ever had, and the pizza is to die for. I had fish that was could perfectly. Do not let the outside stop you fro going in.

We've gone to Briandi's twice and both times had an enjoyable meal. The place is small and we had to wait, briefly, for a table. The servers were fast, so once seated we had our drinks and appetizers. The first time, we each had a dinner, which we took half of them home. The second time, we split a dinner and it was plenty! I enjoyed the calamari (light coating, nice squid) and the spaghetti with meat sauce (good sauce flavor).

My wife & I went there 1/18/14 they start you off with the softest light hot Italian bread with an oil& erb dip. My wife had lasagna ,she had enough for 2 more meals at home. I ordered veal parmigian with spaghetti ,the best I ever had. 4 large pieces of veal.awsome food. With 2 beers& a wine the bill came to 37.50

Absolutely amazing food! The service was a tad slow but the wait staff was very friendly and the food more than made up for it! The Manhattan mussels were the best I've had and the Sicilian fish was delicious. Huge portions too, consider sharing a dish!

This is authentic American-Italian. With the photographs of boxers, racing car divers and men holding giant fish aloft, this bustling, noisy little restaurant could be plucked straight out of The Godfather. The food is great, the service is friendly and quick. The helpings are huge; my lady and I usually share an entree and still feel absolutely stuffed. They have a nice albeit limited wine selection, but they don't have a license to sell liquor. Although the restaurant is really small (about 10 tables and a bar that seats 4 or 5) and they don't take reservations, we have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table.

We were visiting Venice and were looking for an inexpensive restaurant for dinner. Since we like Italian food, we read the reviews of Briandi's and were interested. Best of all, they offered early bird specials, and since economy was important, we decided to try it. Both Venice magazine and articles online mentioned that the specials started at $5.95, which we thought was great. But...first of all, there is only one item for $5.95, which I believe was plain spaghetti with tomato sauce. Not very interesting. But the real surprise came when our server told us that, during the 4-6 PM early bird offer, "We just request that you also order a beverage." The early bird specials then became about $7.95, and that's only with the order of spaghetti. We could have gone to many places for $9-10, so that wasn't a good offer at all. We liked the food, and it was a nice restaurant, but I don't like to be told about a special that isn't special at all. This does a disservice to the customers. There's no point in going for the early bird special, so don't waste your time...just go at a regular time and pay the same price!
