Destin Trip 2015.....FINALLY! We found a restaurant that didn't disappoint or rip you off around Destin! It is across the toll Mid Bay bridge in Niceville. We came back through Fort Walton to make the trip more scenic. It is just a fast food chicken place that had fresh tasty food all three times we went. Some real standouts were their sides. Red beans and rice had chunks of sausage and tasted authentic and great. Mashed potatoes were buttery, mac and cheese was really good. We opted to pay $1 more for biscuits instead of rolls...AWESOME biscuits. Catfish was exceptional also. We went during the off season it was still VERY busy with locals. We started going early or mid afternoon to avoid the rush. They have a drive thru, but we went into to get carryout all three times. Will definitely go back next year!

This is a good chicken joint, we are new to Florida and we stumbled across this Gem. We absolutely love it. The chicken and dumplings was good too.

I ordered catfish with a biscuit and two sides. The catfish was the best I've ever had & they also had honey, so that was a plus. The biscuit was boring & the mash potatoes where from the box. The cat fish was worth it & I'd eat it again any day. It was fried perfectly, juicy & no fishy taste. Yum!

Very greasy, Heart attack with any combo meal. I prefer Popeyes. The flavor beats the pants off this joint. ESPECIALLY, If you are going to cheat on your diet. Don't you want to do it somewhere worth while? If you put a Popeyes next door to this joint you may see Dannys go bankrupt. hate it for em. I wanted to give a good review. Its just not worth the calories, Sodium, carbs. Don't want to think about the fry o laters frying every single order.

Just had the chicken finger dinner with fries and biscuits. The chicken was perfectly fried and I had no bites that were just fried batter. I was hoping for a house BBQ sauce or honey mustard, but what they gave me was ok. Those biscuits were excellent, I only wish I had ordered a Coke to wash them down with!

My family and I eat there at least twice a month and it's usually take out. This past Saturday, family from Crestview went there for a late lunch about 2:30. Since in the seating area was packed, we decided to eat outside. Food is always fresh and never disappoints BUT the staff that day was totally unfriendly. Especially the young man that was manning the front counter. Didn't matter that I was trying to be extra pleasant when I noticed his cold demeanor. Won't deter me tho, I love the food and the fair prices!

Heading to the airport after an awesome vacation in Destin and were hungry as we passed through Niceville. Hopped on Yelp and found Danny's..and sure glad we did! It was AMAZING. I'll be craving more of their fried chicken. Had the chicken and dumplings and biscuits too...it was all delicious! Prob one of the best meals we had on our vacation!

I'm a grown man. And when I ordered the $4.99 three piece meal I never thought I'd be a stuffed as I find myself right this minute. The fried chicken is fantastic - not greasy and with great seasoning. Beans and sides were solid, and the giant fluffy biscuits really bring it all together. The ambience is like a fast food place that never got their branding or decor - and frankly it doesn't need it. For 16 dollars we fed a family of four before crossing the bridge to Destin where it would have cost us forty bucks.

The best fried chicken on earth. Onion rings are thin, crispy and greasy.... perfect. Sweet tea is as southern as tea can be. Danny's Fried Chicken = Niceville. I imagine if DFC closed down Niceville would collaspe.

Danny's has been in Niceville for as long as I can remember and there's a reason for that..it is consistently excellent...some of the best fried chicken on The Emerald Coast with a batter that has a great flavor and a crunch that blows away some of the bigger chains like the miserable KFC across the street...others tell me their Fried Catfish is some of the best in town as well...my secret tip is to always get their Chicken and Dumplings as one of your sides...incredible they let you get this as a side because it's good and filling enough to be an entrée...I have started buying containers of the Chicken and Dumplings to go because it's the best I have found in the area...some of the sides like the mashed potatoes and gravy should be avoided(straight out of a box) but the red beans and rice and French fries are good side choices also...only reason Danny's is not getting 5 stars from me is that the place could use a good cleaning/remodeling(unavoidable in a place that fries all day)..the staff uniforms are orange and blue(is this joint owned by Gators?)..and one of the cooks who is a Gator Fan started giving me grief about FSU and Jameis Winston the week after FSU walloped Florida(like I told the guy..dude it's not my fault UF'S Head Coach will be back there at this time next year frying chicken and fish with you)...food wise Danny's is a solid 4.5 if you order right; so avoid the chain joints and spend locally here..just ignore the jealous Cook!!

We eat here every year when we come to Destin for family vacation. It is good that we stagger our arrival and departure times so we can stop and eat at Danny's on the way to or from the airport. Next to Gil's Fried Chicken in San Marcos, TX this is the BEST fried chicken around!

Evidently all the Danny's fans are so overtaken by the food they have little time left to write about. This place was OMG good! I can't even describe how fascinating this place is. EVERYTHING on the menu was like Mom's cooking (even better---sorry Mom!). This is a MUST TRY!

Yes a fast food restaurant, but the best fried chicken. Do not go to KFC, go here!!! The chicken has great flavor, not greasy, and well priced. I'm a food snob and I love this chicken. It doesn't get better than this.

Best fried chicken ever!!!! Their Lima beans are to die for, with a tiny kick to them and small chunks of ham... Coleslaw is best when it's fresh, as everywhere, but the chicken..... Yum! There is always a line around lunch/dinner time so get there early!!!

I booked marked several places to try before coming down to visit Destin/niceville area. Danny's chicken was over the bridge, thru the $3 toll but we made it to niceville in search for this good ole fried chicken! I made my husband take the first bite. I was testing him to see if the chicken tasted better than mines!! (Sorry Dan u lost) But trust and believe it was all the juicy/moist flavorful goodness fried chicken should be. I really liked the food here, oh and the dumplings are good and full of flavor.. the chicken/dumplings was a bit over seasoned for my taste when it comes to dumplings but that could just be me. Potatoe salad was good too. I can't compare Danny's to any other fried chicken, all I can say is its DAMN GOOD BIRD!

Loved it! It gets 5 starts because it is what it is. It's cheap and the chicken is good. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean and simple.
