Four of us at the patio for dinner on St Patricks Day. We just had a lovely time. Excellent food - grilled shrimp, steak, corned beef and cabbage and grilled fish. Will make it a point to come back here on our next trip.

Simply put.....not good. Musty odor inside, plastic chairs outside and a prime rib that just wasn't edible. There are so many good restaurants in the area, this is not one of them.

I've been here several times in the past and the food on those visits pretty good. This visit however was very disappointing. Visited during mid week at around 5 pm. For most of the time it appeared we were the only customers in the place (so the cook should not have been rushed!). Could be they have a new or different cook on duty. To be more specific, the shrimp were tough and not de-veined. Thought I did not wish for more of it the entree size was more appropriate for an appetizer. The cola tasted like an "off-brand". The salad came in very large pieces of lettuce, with one cucumber slice and two very small and not fresh tasting tomato pieces. The server was personable and tried hard to please.

Amazing food for a reasonable price. We had Lobster Thermidor, Pangasius Fish Francais, and a Ribeye steak with Bourbon Sauce. All came with baskets of hot crusty bread and side salads and an excellent sauted summer squash medley. We had a nice chardonnay with our meal. Wine list is small but well chosen. The service was highly professional and the menue is very classical in nature. We have little doubt that after 27 years in business, it is all well executed. Decore is homey and the place is small but there is outdoor seating. We were lucky to be there on a chilly tuesday night and it was not crowded. Check it out if you are in New Smyrna. A welcome change from the typical seafood shack type places in town.

Excellent little date night place. There's about 15-17 tables inside with an outdoor venue as well. Food was really good and our waitress Betty was great!

A good measure of any dining establishment is how they handle pressure. On a recent Saturday night, constant dining companion and I arrived at 6:15 for a 7:00 pm reservation only to find the place packed. No problem. We were seated immediately and although there were only 2 waitresses, we got everything ordered,,as ordered and HOT. There's nothing worse than lukewarm food and that could have been a problem this night, but, not at all. As always, our dinners were excellent, especially my Lobster thermador, a dish you don't find much anymore these days. In fact, The Patio has a number of menu items not seen regularly since the 50's and all are exceptional. The prices are, contrary to rumor, quite reasonable. So, when in New Smyrna, try a visit. You won't be disappointed.

We went to a wedding the owner of the Patio catered, and they did a disgusting job! They left the entrees sitting in the cookers for 4 hours before being served. Food was cheap frozen veggies and were mush. And to make matters worse, the Chef/owner was extremely rude and pushy to the all the guests. I alone witnessed him argue with guests 3 different times. The bride and groom were very unhappy and embarrassed by the way this guy was treating everyone. In fact they wanted to ask him to leave. I looked him up and can not believe he has been in business this long. I would never step foot in the restaurant, and certainly not ever hire him as a caterer. Worst service ever!!!!!

Eat here every time I am in New Smyrna. It may be small but that only adds character. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. I've never been disappointed. Karen

Had dinner their last night, the service started a little slow but the food made up for it, we had an appetizer of artichoke over sliced tomatoes with a covering of a very tasty sauce. The entree's were equally delicious the filet with stuffed shrimp was cooked to specifics and quit tender, there was allot of food so we passed on the desert.
