This review is for their new-ish store on Collier. Visited on May 14, 2015 The worst ice cream experience of my life. Upon entering, the server took about 2 minutes to emerge from the back. Gave us plenty of time to inspect the "decor" (maybe $20 in fake NYC street signage). I ordered (and was charged for) a scoop of cookie dough with hot fudge and marshmallow. The ice cream was bland/tasteless. Reminded me of ice cream that thawed some and refroze... Bits of ice throughout. Chalky. The fudge ...what little I got ... Was room temperature (not hot). The consistency of toothpaste. And hard to pump out, apparently. That's why I got so little ? It was hard, like stale frosting. And tasted rancid. Also received very little marshmallow... Which is just as well. It was runny and tasted oily. Started separating quickly. Where can you get good ice cream in Naples ??

ATMOSPHERE Light blue colors everywhere! One side boasts the counter where you can peer through the glass and take in the sights of many icy or ice cream choices. A few plain tables and chairs dot the left. Despite all the colors on the walls, Louie Gs was impersonal. This wasn't a place to hang out and play board games with friends, and the surroundings (small plaza or the Publix parking lot) force this place to be a destination location (not a spontaneous side trip such as if this place was in a mall) and places like this don't survive situations like that. SELECTION The menu above gives your creative side a break by spelling out all the different forms icy or ice cream choices can take shape in as well as combos of the two. You can't go wrong with mixtures of icies and cream. It's a little pricier, but when I look at the plain icies my friends ordered and the ratio of price to icy size... mine was the winner. Plus the tastes work well together and the alternate textures of smooth ice (not crispy) to even smoother cream is awesome. IMPRESSION If it wasn't for Groupon, I probably wouldn't have even given this place a second glance. This place has the yums and the service to be awesome.... But poor location and uncomfy atmosphere will probably lead to me writing this as an early good bye.

My son and I love this place. It reminds me of 31 flavors/baskin-Robbins, which was a favorite place growing up. Uncle L's has lots of flavors of ice cream and Italian ice. It's clean and prices are reasonable. Best of all, they are open till 11pm on Saturday night!!! After dinner treat! I look forward to going back.

Came down to Naples for a visit and went to the always tasty Uncle Louis G's!!!!!! The Italian ice is the BEST! They get their water from NY so that's what makes it taste so good!!!! It's a MUST go to in Naples!!!!!!

Love this place. The owner is a fantastic person, was out and about, helping clear tables, talking to people, making sure everybody was happy! He shared with us that he was from Queens but was so happy to be in Naples - and it really shows. They hosted a fundraiser for a young high school boy who lost his leg - donated 100% of their profits to him from noon through 11pm on a Friday night! I really appreciate their commitment to their community and obviously, the ice cream is GREAT. I got coconut and strawberry and it was delicious. It was packed with families and young people; just a really nice, clean atmosphere and good price on delicious ice cream.

There's two locations of Louie G's in Naples....one on Fifth Ave and another in Golden Gate. We were warmly welcomed at both locations. By far, the Italian ice is divine, served with a spark of sweet charm from the owner who's from NY. They have more flavors than I've ever seen in Naples ice cream parlors. Absolutely deeeelish, and refreshing on a hot day. Place is very clean, and kid-friendly!
